When I was in domestic abuse support groups over on Facebook I quickly noticed that there were a lot of abusive men in it. They claimed to be victims of course. In fact they were convinced to be. They had read up on "narcissistic abuse" and truly believed that their partner or ex was one. In the group I'd see a daily flood of women describing the most horrid shit and the trauma inflicted on them. But men's most common complaint was that their wives had been "withholding sex" which really is a form of abuse they said. Another way these men suffered from domestic abuse was through being dumped. They described a woman leaving them as a form of abuse. So two of the most common ways men are abused are... by women exercising their own free will. Obviously when men describe abuse in such a way you know they are abusive. For example, the complaints about "withholding sex" as abusive are admissions of attempted rapes through coercion and guilt tripping.

Another way women abuse men is by letting them do chores of course. One kept spamming about it, taking before and after pictures of the dishes he did while his obviously mentally unstable cruel bitch of a wife was playing with the kids. I screenshoted everything and sent it to her. And yet another fascinating post was this man, obviously another victim, who saw his ex's new boyfriend while driving and decided to follow him, as victims do. He followed him for a long while, as victims do, before the new boyfriend supposedly parked near a motel where he met a woman. Our victim parked too and watched with glee as his ex was being cheated on. When I pointed out that, no, this is not what victims do and that he was telling on himself by describing how he follows people like a creep he cried that I wasn't allowed to question him because it's a safe space for victims and it's against the rules call a moderator please help etc. That's the thing with these groups: men go in there to feel vindicated and they are. Women immediately approve and help men pathologise women based on nothing and certainly not actual descriptions of abuse. The women don't realise that they are helping a man abuse a woman. Hundreds of comments calling a woman a narcissist and the man feeling justified in taking revenge on that woman. And me being told I'm too mean.

But you know what men write the most about in those groups? How we talk too much about women being abused and not enough about men. It upsets them to see women being listened to. And again, women approve by the hundreds, "yes poor men, women can be just as evil" and on and on, ironically disproving what men are claiming: men are not ignored, they are taken way too seriously as a matter of fact.

This guy posted about being abused again, how he "fell for it" once more, how he "should have known better". He had met a woman and she had "used" him you see. Cue to the choral of women offering him support without questions. So I asked one: how did she use you? He responded that, well, she didn't really use him per say, she asked him for help, he helped, she thanked him and that was it. They weren't dating. He had met a random woman and helped her and she hadn't offered him anything in return (like her vagina, you know) she had just thanked him and that's abuse. Imagine that. Traumatised women describing really disturbing and upsetting events and men whining about women not being on their hands and knees. And both sides cohabiting in one group under the pretense that one is not oppressing the other because "domestic abuse has no gender".

You were lucky – not only was your husband back home, but he was back home normal. Except for a few scars on his face and a few on his body, Buck seemed to be completely alright. It was almost alarming how normal he was.

He was the same man he had been before the war. Not that you had known him for long before – you had gotten married pretty fast, knowing that he could not come back from Europe. But to you he seemed to be the same man. He was soft for you, always trying to give you a smile, calm and stoic most of the time but also could make a good joke or tease a little. He seemed to act the same and you always wondered about it. You knew that he had to live through unimaginable horrors up in the air and when he was in the German camp. But he would never talk about it and you didn’t want to push him to talk.

You were a member of the local society for military wives and widows. You had meetings twice a week in the evening in a room given to you for that purpose by the local church. This community had helped you a lot mentally when Buck was in Europe, especially when he was in Germany. There were women with stories like yours… but worse. Some husbands were lucky enough to come back like your Buck – nearly scratched on the surface. But all those wives would eventually come back with some depressive story. One husband started to drink, the other started to be abusive, a few were constantly shell-shocked. Or traumatised as it was called now.

But not your Buck.

Sometimes you felt stupid for even speaking during those meetings. You felt as if you had no right to be there. Everything was fine with your Buck. He had never been a drinker and he was not now either. Even the war couldn’t change that. He didn’t start to gamble or sleep around either. There were many stories of infidelity. But once again, not from your Buck.

You even asked him about it one day. You just couldn’t believe – after listening to all these women’s stories – that he had been such a good and loyal husband to you. But he only looked at you as if you were crazy.

No, your Buck was not a cheater either.

“Recently I feel like these other women there don’t like me,” you told your friend when you were walking back home after one of the meetings in the evening. It was dark already but you lived in a safe neighbourhood and on the same street. You had become friends because both of you had husbands in Europe. But hers hadn’t come back.

“I’m not going to lie, (Y/N),” she sighed as you stood in front of her house. All the lights inside were off. Poor thing lived all alone now. “It’s difficult not to envy you.”

“It’s not like Buck had it easy!” You got defensive. “He went through hell!”

“I know,” she smiled sadly. “But he doesn’t show it.”

“I’m lucky, I know,” you took a deep breath in.

“Yes, you are. But I feel like all of them are lucky. Even the ones with drinking and cheating husbands. I wish mine was like that, too… At least he’d be back with me,” her eyes filled with tears.

“Oh, darling…” You leaned in to give her a hug and kissed her cheeks. “Go, make yourself a tea, watch something on TV and go to sleep. I have to go now, it’s late. I’ll visit you tomorrow for coffee,” you promised her and she nodded her head.

You waved at each other goodbye and you crossed the street to go back home, too.

Surprisingly, Buck wasn’t waiting for you on the porch. He would usually do that because he wanted to make sure you’d come back home safely from the meetings.

Not only was he not on the porch but also all the lights inside your house were off, too. And when you wanted to enter the house, you noticed the doors were locked. You sighed and reached for the key inside your purse.

When you entered the house, you were greeted with silence. You locked the door behind you and took a walk around all the rooms on the ground floor. Meatball was sleeping on the carpet in the living room and you scratched him behind his ear before going upstairs.

Buck was in bed already, asleep. You smiled to yourself as you approached him to fix his duvet and put a kiss on his forehead. He had been struggling with a headache for the whole afternoon so you just wanted to leave him in peace, glad that he was finally resting. He looked so peaceful when he was asleep, just like a little boy.

Quietly, you went to the bathroom to prepare yourself to go to bed, too. It was still quite early but you didn’t want to wake him up with the sound of TV or a radio.

When you were in your nightgown already, you turned the light in the bathroom off and you joined Buck in bed. You weren’t very sleepy so you just laid on your side and watched his side profile. You smiled to yourself and caressed one of the scars on his cheek gently.

After a while, when you were starting to drift off to sleep, you got startled by Buck’s sudden movement. He tossed around as his face winced a little. You furrowed your brows and rested on your elbow. He moved once again and trembled as incoherent words were leaving his half-parted lips.

You realised he was having a nightmare and it was painful to watch. He no longer reminded you of a peaceful boy. He was scared. You had never seen your husband scared.

“Buck, baby,” you whispered softly as you grabbed his arm, trying to shake him out of his dream. “Buck, come back to me, hey…”

His eyes opened as he sat up rapidly, taking deep breaths and wiping the fresh sweat off of his face.

“Buck…” You asked quietly and he turned around like he was surprised to see you there.

“(Y/N)... You’re back already?” He furrowed his brows as his lower lip trembled.

“Yes. What’s going on?” You asked him and tried to move closer but he flinched. You remained still, feeling a little hurt at his rejection. “Buck, what’s going on? You had a nightmare?”

“Yes, it’s fine,” he lied.

“It happens sometimes. Why don’t you want me to touch you?” You asked, carefully.

“I didn’t want you to see me like this,” he confessed and hid his face in the palm of his hands.

“What?” You shook your head awkwardly. “You couldn’t know, come on, Gale, we all get bad dreams sometimes…” You caressed his back. His white shirt was wet from the sweat. You sighed and moved closer. He didn’t flinch this time and you tugged on the fabric of his shirt. “Come on, baby, let me help you change. You need a new pair of pyjamas.”

“It’s not sometimes,” he mumbled and you stopped pulling his shirt.

“Hm?” You asked and gently moved his hands away from his face. Your heart sank in your chest at the sight of the tears in the corners of your husband’s eyes. You had seen him cry only on special occasions like your wedding day or when he was back home. He hadn’t even cried when he was leaving because he didn’t want to make it even sadder and more difficult for you.

“I said…” Buck’s voice trembled, “that it’s not sometimes. I have them all the time, those dreams,” he explained.

You went silent for a while and then you left the bed to turn the small light on and sit back on the edge of the bed, holding his hands.

“Why haven’t you told me?” You asked, worryingly.

“I didn’t want you to worry and…” Buck took a deep breath in as he looked down. “...I didn’t want to spoil your life. I wanted to be the same as I was before. I didn’t want to come back only to ruin everything, to be weaker. It would be a disappointment for you.”

“Buck, stop,” you cupped his face and made him look at you again. His cheeks were damp already and it was breaking your heart. “I can’t listen to this, stop,” you shook your head and leaned in to press your forehead to his. “Baby, you can’t hide such things from me. You’re in pain and I’m your wife. I’m here to help you with the burden.”

“I don’t want to be a burden.”

“You are not one, you will never be. But you are carrying it and I want to help you. Oh, Buck, baby…” You hugged him and caressed the back of his head.

After a while of hesitation, he clinged to you and hid his face in the crook of your neck. You started to shush him and caress his back as you rocked him softly in your arms.

“Now, get out of that wet shirt,” you moved away slightly and helped him to take off his pyjamas.

You took them to the bathroom to put them in the laundry bin and you got him a fresh pair out of the closet.

“Do you want something to drink?” You asked and he shook his head as he was putting on his new pair of pyjamas. You waited for him to finish and you turned the light off before joining him in bed again.

“Gale, baby, come here,” you opened your arms and he laid his head down on your chest. You hugged him tight and placed a kiss upon his forehead. “What are your nightmares about?” You dared to ask.

“I’m back in Germany and they’re shooting us like dogs and I just… I just want to go back home to you,” he whispered as his voice broke. You felt tears forming in your eyes. “It’s so cold and I’m hungry and I realise that I won’t see you again. And it’s killing me to know that… That you’re here and you won’t ever see me again, too. And how heartbroken you will be when they tell you I’m dead. Even facing death I’m more scared and worried about you,” he continued. After opening up finally, he wanted to let it all out and you were listening to it while caressing his back gently. “I remember that song playing while we were dancing at our wedding. I remember you in that white dress, I remember your smile. And I think that’s when they kill me.”

“Gale…” you couldn’t stand to listen to it anymore. You didn’t want to shut him up but it was painful for you, too. “You’re home with me, love. You’re home with me, everything is alright now. You’re safe,” you assured him and leaned in to kiss the top of his head. “I won’t let anyone… anything, harm you,” you added.

Usually it was him telling you such things.

“Next time you have a nightmare, wake me up, please, baby,” you pleaded and he nodded but you knew he wouldn’t do that. He was too proud for that. You sighed and squeezed him tighter in your arms. “I love you, Gale.”

But he didn’t answer. He was already back asleep, tugging on your nightgown like a little boy. However, you were glad to see him so peaceful again.

It turned out that no man came back the same.

i hate how prostitution advocates act like there is no objective state of abuse. they ask the victims, do you feel abused? and when they say no, they call it a day and say its not their business.

if you see a man hit his wife, and you ask her, are you okay? and she says yes, would you stop caring? say well, if most battered wives stay with their husbands, if most abused women stay with their partner, the abusers shouldnt be punished?

ive talked about this before on my old blog, but prostitution follows similar patterns as abusive relationships: in those, women stay due to dependency (the kids, shared home, joint bank account, lack of safety net etc), just like prostitutes (family dependent on them, living in the brothel, sole provider, lack of options, etc); or the cycle of abuse and amends, apologies and gestures of love after the abuse, which in prostitution is the payment.

using your money to get others to perform the sexual acts you want disregarding their own desires and boundaries is abuse. prostitution advocates are not advocating for women‘s agency, they are advocating for men legally abusing impoverished women and other marginalised people who are the majority of prostitutes.

focussing on the woman‘s choice is a gateway to victim-blaming: if she voluntarily entered prostitution, she knew what she was getting into. if she gets traumatised, that‘s on her. „why is she staying with her abusive partner? why is she defending him after everything he‘s done to her?“ sounds the same to me as „why does she stay in prostitution and even defends it if it‘s so bad?“ and the conclusion: it cant be that bad then. none of my business. and the abusers keep getting away with it

How many relationships (or hook-ups) do you think the Demon brothers (+ side characters) had before meeting MC?

All of them are very old and seeing how they live long lives surely they had some experiences, some more than the others.

I'm thinking out of everyone Asmo definitely had the most experience with others. But with Asmo most of his experience are from hookups since he's the most beautiful in all Devildom, so everyone would want to have their way with him. He probably tried going into serious relationships but that didn't go anywhere.

Lucifer's pride might have gotten in the way for him to form a serious relationship in the past (and he was still traumatised being cast out of heaven), but he definitely had hookups here and there. I can see Mammon trying in the past to enter a serious relationship, he was madly in love, but he got taken advantage of :(( Maybe he had hookups for money??

I'm sorry, but Leviathan is an Ancient Virgin. The only experience he had was his right hand. Again it's difficult to say with Satan. He tried relationships and hookups but he wasn't into it and sticks with romance/smut books instead??

I doubt Beelzebub had anything serious going on with someone but maybe he had a few hookups? Belphegor's the same with beelzebub, my guy is too lazy haha.

It's difficult to place Diavolo seeing how he's the next Demon king. This may sound dumb but maybe he had a lot of Physical experience (The best Succubus/incubus for the king! The best Orgies for the King!) but no romantic relationships seeing how easily everyone would want the crown for themselves and how much of a scandal that could be. This could also be said for Mephistopheles since he's a noble too.

Then there's my precious sexy ass Barbatos. It's hard to say but i low-key think he had a few flings here and there when he was still young and not a butler yet. He won't be seeking out any relationships/hookups anymore since he probably tried everything already and that could possibly distract him from his butler duties.

Raphael/Simeon are Angels so i doubt they had any experience in the past when it comes to Relationship/hookups. Solomon DEFINITELY had quite a lot of Relationships/hookups! This guy had a ton of Succubi and wives! As for Thirteen i assume she's not into Relationships/hookups until she meets Mc.

Now this is an interesting topic, anon. I've thought about it a lot, but I don't think I've managed to settle on a solid idea that I like best.

The rest is below a read more because I wrote A LOT, so this way people won't have to scroll as much.

Also NSFW below the read more due to the discussion of sex, but nothing explicit.

I think how experienced the characters are is going to depend on how sex is viewed in their respective realms.

We know how it is in the human world. I personally have a huge issue with the way sex is taboo in our world. It bothers me that there's so much suppression of it and that people are so concerned about stuff that really isn't that big of a deal. It feels manipulative and I've always felt the conservative view of it is the predominant one in our society, which only exists to control people. At least, this is my view of how I've seen it handled around me. So I feel it's important to note that I am a USAmerican. I also happened to grow up in a place that was ultra conservative while not being conservative myself so my opinion may be skewed.

Anyway, the only reason I'm talking about this is that it means I tend to prefer thinking of both the Devildom and the Celestial Realm as more free with this kind of stuff.

Especially the Devildom, but the idea that just because angels are angels means they've never experienced sex or relationships bothers me. I think it's because the CR touts itself as being the pinnacle of all things good and pure and in my opinion, sex is good and pure. I don't like thinking of it as a "sin." (PLEASE NOTE I'm discussing consensual sex between adults, obviously this is not the case for abusive situations.)

That being said, I'm also aware that this is my personal take on it, so it might not really make any sense. Like I just want the CR to be chill about it because that's what I would prefer, not because it necessarily makes sense for them to be chill about it lol.

In the context of the game, it makes more sense for the CR to not be chill about it.

But their stance necessarily alters how much experience I believe characters like the brothers and angels to have.

Because the brothers were obviously angels for a big chunk of their lives.

I also have a personal preference for characters who do have some experience. I think a first love/first sexual encounter is always extremely intense and can be toxic or problematic in ways that the inexperienced person is blind to. (Not necessarily of course, but you kind of move past that all encompassing devotion that you tend to have for your first.)

So for me, it's more appealing for the characters to have moved past that first experience and to have some knowledge of how love and relationships work. It isn't necessarily about the sex part, but sex is often entangled in love and it certainly complicates things.

Which means that in my own personal thoughts about it, Levi is the only one who could even manage to stay a virgin that long.

The reason for that is because he makes it pretty clear that he rarely leaves his room, especially after they fall.

Now if the CR is chill about sex, I think it's possible that Levi had some desperate sort of encounters while he was fighting as the Grand Admiral you know what I'm saying? But if we're going with the idea that they aren't chill, then yeah, he's probably still a virgin.

I do think it's possible that Levi isn't a virgin, though. I honestly think you could easily come up with a situation in which he actually did have the opportunity come up. Maybe he even fell in love with someone over an online message board before meeting them in person. I just think there are options, you know? And in the end, it depends on what you prefer.

In fact, I would say I kinda feel this way about all the characters. I think you could say all of them are virgins if you wanted to. Lucifer, for instance. CR isn't chill, so he never did anything as angel. After he fell, too dedicated to his work and Diavolo to even bother pursuing anybody and always immediately shutting down anyone who came onto him so as not to get distracted.

That's just an example, I'm saying you can change these details to fit with your preference for any of them, though I think Asmo would be the hardest lol.

So here are my ideas on all of the characters, based on the concept that the CR is not stupid and instead chill about sex:

Lucifer is experienced, but not by a ton. In the CR, he's too busy being a seraph and keeping all his lil siblings in line. Maybe there are a couple of people who catch his eye and while he might indulge, I don't think he'd have had a relationship. After they fall, he retreats into himself. At this point, if you're into DiaLuci, that could start to become a thing. But I also think you could say that maybe he had a little bit of time where he kind of went crazy, going out and doing all the things he maybe didn't have time to before, more as a bad way of coping with the reality of the fall and the loss of his sister. After time, when they all get settled, I think it's an every once in a while kinda thing. He just doesn't strike me as the guy who'd have time for relationships unless it was with someone like Diavolo or MC (or Solomon... yes I'm still on the solulu train just you wait). He doesn't have any reason to let someone that close to him, you know?

Mammon, I agree with you on. I think he probably wanted to be in a relationship and likely fell hard for someone, only to have his heart broken. Thus his tsundere attitude now. It's a defense mechanism. I think that could have happened in the CR and then once he fell, he would just do the hookup thing, especially when he's out partying or gambling or something. It doesn't mean anything. He's still protecting his heart until MC comes along.

Levi we've discussed, but I do think he's either a virgin or maybe had some fumbling moments in war time, you know. Pluuuus I kinda think he was probably admired by a lot of angels during that time. So you know.

Satan has a whole stretch of time where he's just trying to figure himself out. I think he'd be cautious about a relationship due to his wrath. I always think of Satan as being super romantic, but he's also concerned about his own anger. He's afraid to hurt people because of it. So I kinda think he'd hold off. He likely had some hookups and such, but I don't think he'd have a full blown relationship until he felt it was someone who truly understood him.

Asmo I agree with you on, but I also think he could have had a serious relationship at some point. I kinda see it both ways. He might not because he doesn't want to tie himself down to any one person, but I think he can also fall in love passionately. So I think he could've had one really intense relationship that inevitably fell apart.

Beel is such a sweetheart, I can imagine someone else falling in love with him easily or other people kinda throwing themselves at him. I don't think Beel would've refused them, either. But I don't think he had a serious relationship, maybe just short ones here and there, probably some hookups, but nothing more.

Belphie I think could go a lot of ways, but I kinda see him being mostly uninterested. He might have had a couple hookups over the years, just because there are so many years and there's no way the opportunity didn't arise at some point. But I don't think he ever cared about anyone enough to pursue a legit relationship.

Okay, now bear with me here, but I kinda like the idea that Diavolo and Mephistopheles hooked up lol. I mean, they were childhood friends, right? Maybe when they got older and started having those thoughts and such, they were like hey... why not? I think it's really cute when bffs decide to be each other's first, even if they never intend to have a serious relationship, you know? Just another reason for Mephisto to hate Lucifer lol. Otherwise I would say Mephisto is probably pretty picky. I think he's more likely to only have been in a serious relationship, considering hookups kinda beneath him.

But aside from that, it's going to depend on what's expected of royalty in the Devildom. I can't imagine they'd have a rule about it, though. It's the Devildom, you know? So I think Diavolo has likely had hookups, but I do think it's a rare occurrence now that he's focused on running the Devildom and united the worlds and all that.

Barbatos, my true love. I like the idea that he was a bit promiscuous in his younger days, traveling through space and time and doing whatever pleased him. He might have been more passionate, more likely to fall in love, a little more free with himself physically. But ever since becoming a butler, I think he clamps down on that quite a bit, just like he does with everything else. He's certainly experienced and I don't think he's like not ever doing anything since becoming a butler, just that he doesn't do it as often as he once did. He's had a few relationships in the past, I think, but not since he started working for Diavolo. He's too dedicated and spends all his time in the castle.

Simeon and Raphael are going to depend on the CR again, but if we're still in my preference of the CR being cool about it, then I think Simeon at least is no virgin. He's too pretty and there is no way a million angels have not come on to him. And like I don't think he'd just fall into the bed of any angel that batted their eyelashes at him, I do think that he's secretly very passionate. Under that cool exterior, he loves hotly and I think he'd have fallen for someone at some point, giving them all of himself. Now he's older and more calm and collected and carrying the grief of losing Lucifer and his brothers.

Raphael I'm not so sure about. Because on the one hand, he's clearly quite passionate too in a "here are the spears" sort of way. But he was also super dedicated to his goal of becoming a seraph, so I don't know if he even had the room for any kind of relationship. Might still be a virgin. But I think you could go either way with him.

Solomon is a human and he's been around for ages there's no way he's still a virgin. I know I said you could make it work, but wow, that'd be tough to do with him, I think. He's like nah, the 700 wives and 300 concubines (or whatever the numbers were lol) are just for show, I didn't actually do anything with them! Wait, no but he had kids. Well you could say that Biblical lore doesn't apply to your story adsklfjdf

However. Solomon is known for being incredibly lonely. Even if he had relationships, he likely had them with other humans who inevitably died and left him alone again. So I think after his normal human lifespan ended and he had to start moving around more and kind of dedicated himself to magic, he likely stopped having relationships of any kind (love or friendship or anything) because it hurt too much. I think he could have hookups or one night stands with people he never saw again. But not so much a relationship.

Thirteen I dunno. That woman is hot af. I could see her having to turn down a lot of advances. I think she might have had some hookups, maybe even a relationship, but nothing too serious. She strikes me as a little more lighthearted about this kind of stuff. Like you know life is fleeting and in the end I'll just have to reap you anyway lol. I don't think she would get serious until MC.

ANYWAY. Sorry for this absolute NOVEL of a response. I didn't realize just how much I had to say until I started... and then I couldn't stop. I hope that somewhat answered the question, anyway??? In the end, I think it's possible to have all the characters as experienced or inexperienced as you like!

The theory used to be that Caliborn was his own dad. Thematic echoes ring around the story; his followers' obsession with "MOTHERFUCKING" evokes the Oedipal undertones of Yaldabaoth imprisoning and corrupting his creatress Sophia. And Aranea, often misinformed but rarely, if ever - in spite of the school of red herrings surrounding English - intentionally misleading, seems to hint at such a possibility: Caliborn and Calliope's home planet is the former home planet of their father, which is in her words "a loc8tion now conspicuously occupied 8y a truly massive 8lack hole". Now that the comic's over, and we have a more comprehensive idea of English's life and times - he was born, he fucked with the trolls, left to try to kill his sister, and then died - it seems pretty unlikely that he had the opportunity to go back to the era of his birth and spawn himself... in the incarnation we're most familiar with, at least. We've known from much earlier on that there were Englishes in "countless universes", and that the "mobster Hulk" menacing Homestuck itself would never be fully representative of all of Caliborn's crimes. And now that I've spent some more time looking over the mechanisms by which Caliborn is able to exist in so many countless universes, I'm not totally convinced that he isn't his own dad?

Cherub romance is chiefly two things; it's caliginous, and it's incestuous. One way in which it is widely understood to be incestuous is by way of being masturbatory: in its mate, a cherub looks for "qualities its other half once had", seeking to replace the aspect of itself it once referred to as brother or sister. But increasingly, I also think cherub mating is incestuous by way of being cyclical. Indeed, it's difficult to draw a line between 'cyclical' and 'masturbatory' for a race who couple by forming an ouroboros; but as touched upon already, the planet around which Caliborn's father intertwined with his mother was also the planet around which his father's father intertwined. Because cherubs always mate around black holes.

It's easy to fall back on the simplest, most surface-level observation of the black hole, that it's a symbol of Lord English. I have described the singularity in the past as English's mouth, the orifice that swallows suns in the same manner the god of time Cronus swallowed his own son. But once more, English is ouroboros; the mouth that swallows his prey is also the mouth that swallows itself. The number of times I've pointed out the significance of white and black holes in Homestuck could be aptly called ad nauseam: but for the comic's metanarrative purposes, being a gateway out of the story also makes the white hole a gateway forward into progress, and by contrast, the black hole is necessarily a pitfall into regression. Just as the black hole is where the god of cycles is swallowed by his own cycle, and is therefore a signpost of Lord English's resurrection, it is also where cherubs go to enact violence upon their sibling-spouses because that is where their parents, and their grandparents, and their grandparents' grandparents, enacted violence upon each other.

Bruce Banner was transformed into the monstrous green Hulk halfway by radiation, halfway by a brutal childhood at the hands of his own monstrous father. Cronus devoured his son, black hole-like, because he received prophecy that his children would overthrow him the same way he had overthrown his own tyrannical progenitor. Even Oedipus was an early victim of the time loop; had prophecy not deemed him at the moment of his birth to be responsible for his father's death, his infamous transgression upon his mother could never have taken place. Whether we choose to believe English literally stepped through that black hole in some winged incarnation to commit the Oedipal sin, or if the rift through space and time is simply a symbolic wound - the bleeding hole left by generations of fathers traumatising wives and sons - the end result is the same. By becoming the Lord of Time, that god of cycles, and embedding himself in the very story structure cherubs dedicate their lives to upholding, Caliborn must embody that cycle; and the Oedipal is in the cyclical just as much as it is in the incestuous. Whether or not Caliborn's dad is him is irrelevant to the simple fact that Caliborn is his own dad.

Silmarillion as the Crane Wives pt 2

I’m doing more of this because this band is so good and gives insane Silm vibes.

Turn Out The Lights: Yet another very Feanor coded song. ‘Turn out the lights on your racing mind’ It also works for Curufin and Celebrimbor for similar reasons. It kind of sounds like ADHD or someone having a panic attack so it fits very well.

Queen of Nothing: My girl Idril. ‘Isn’t this what you wanted? Time sure feels like it’s running out.’ She’s probably singing it to Maeglin but maybe also to Turgon if she’s harbouring some anger. ‘Such a heavy crown.’

The Wolf: Celegorm, feral vibes you know?

The Moon Will Sing: I know I did this one last time but I had another thought. The sons of Feanor because he is sort of the sun right? He’s overwhelming, he burns with quite literally more than anyone else, even when he dies everything revolves around the impact he had on everyone around him. It’s his story even when he isn’t there. And the vast majority of his son’s actions in the Silm is directly because of him and the sheer devotion they have to him. They are nothing without their love for their father, it’s who they are the sons of Feanor. ‘Bore the shadows that you made, with no light of my own.’ It’s just really sad. Curufin especially as the one who’s main attribute in everyone’s eyes is being a reflection of him but not as impressive.

The Strangler Fig: Luthien to her father and Celegorm. ‘All you’re doing now is losing me.’

Drown You Out: Beleg and Turin. Beleg’s need to find him and be with him and Turin’s grief. ‘But your song sings in my veins and I’m singing too.’

Here I Am: Elrond’s abandonment issues. This is so perfect for him at literally any point in his life with any meaningful relationship he’s ever had. ‘Here I am, again, the one, that gets left behind!’ He’s literally lost everyone this is his song.

Safe Ship Harboured: Turgon and Orodreth. Yes. It’s them.

Down the River: Fingolfin to Feanor. Does this need elaboration? It’s about the Helcaraxe.

Take Me To War: Galadriel was my first thought. The closest thing to a rival for Feanor. This song is about when she first decided to journey with her brothers and cousins to Middle Earth after a sheltered childhood in Valinor. Because young Galadriel absolutely is angry after Aqualonde and it’s a fairly large part of her motivation as well as a wish to rule.

Can’t Have It All: Nerdanel. It’s perfect for her. ‘You won’t find me where you left me, no I’m long gone.’ She knows how to stand up for herself even to someone she loves.

Ribs: Serious Haleth vibes. Just the entire song. ‘How lucky you are, handed down a shield for your precious parts.’ ‘. ‘The dark doesn’t frighten me, I chose to close my eyes it is mine.’

New Discovery: This song is Finrod and Finrod is this song. He’s the adventurous one, he wants to know everything there is to know about all the creatures and places of the earth. He’s the elf to have the first dealings with the Edain and one of the more amiable dealings with the dwarves.

How To Rest: Kidnap fam. ‘The heart is just a muscle with a rhythm of its own.’ They weren’t expecting or planning to love each other or start seeing each other as a form of family, they’re all traumatised and it’s really complicated, but they end up doing so in a way regardless. Whether any of them wanted it or not.

Easier: Maedhros. I love this song and it fits him pretty well. Because nothing’s ever been easy for him. ‘And if I were not myself would this be easier?’ ‘So I’ll just close my eyes and try to pretend, that it gets easier.’

No cause my theory on secret life is that since Martyn smacked jimmy at the start, the canary curse spread to him and that's why he was first yellow and first red so they are gonna get canaried together and I’m losing my mind over them, and the song curses by crane wives fits them so damn much

"won’t you stay with me, my darling" -fitting jimmy wanting to stay with Martyn so he doesn’t die alone again.

"When the war starts in my heart" - could be when he starts to panic about dying first.

"The devils after both of us" - the watchers making sure the curse is carried out.

"Oh, lay my curses out to rest" - could be sm like "let’s get this curse over with together",

"Make a mercy out of me"- could be jimmy wanting his last death to be merciful and not really traumatising.

"Ashes, ashes dust to dust" - could be that no matter what, jimmy will still fall victim to the curse.

"Tell me I am good enough" -him thinking that always dying first means he is bad at the life games and isn’t sure if he even deserves to be there.

Slightly redoing GenGrievous wives

Grievous' wives:

1. Lediva jai ShekShee - First wife, older than Grievous by 10 years. A woman of unhappy life and destiny. Collected and calm, does not panic in dire situations. She was responsible for the quick and efficient evacuation of her clan to the mountains, where the Hacks would not go. But despite this, she was unable to save her daughter from the clutches of the enemy. Lediva is quite harsh in her character, after losing her child she became even more harsh and unsettled. Eventually left the clan, becoming a mercenary. She joined the growing Grievous Khaganate. Lediva was good at logistics, for which she was noticed by Grievous. Over time, the two became close. Lediva has two children with Grievous. The fate of her first daughter is unknown.

2. Sangarta lij Rakkash is the second wife already of Grievous. Tribal Khan from the Grendaju territory (where Ronderu is from). She killed her mother (the past Khan, leading the tribe to death because of her submission to the Hakam, in a battle for the right to rule the tribe). Her marriage to Grievous was originally a marriage of convenience, with Sangarta receiving military and guianitarian support and Grievous himself a political and military ally. Three children by Grievous.

3. Izurr jai Nari'i is bright, talkative and easy-going. She can make anyone feel at ease. She was the first to find common ground with the withdrawn and traumatised Rarek. Originally just one of the many steppe Kalisha who had joined their tribes and families to Grievous. Izurr had no idea what Grievous looked like without his mask and customary Khagan robes, and was very surprised to find out who she interacted with so nicely and often. In one of their meetings, Grievous said that Izurr looked like Ronderu to him. He took offence at this, saying that he saw her as a long dead friend rather than Izurr herself. They got into a fight, but Izurr was the first to make up, because she's emotional and hot-tempered. at times, but she's also resilient. This moment took their relationship to a new, much more trusting and intimate level. Four children by Grievous. Isurr loves children, as she grew up in a large and close-knit family.

4. Mikir Inariuz is mistrustful, stubborn and harsh, and does not get along well with people. Her family was killed by the Huks, only Mikir and her younger brother escaped. She blames herself for the death of her family and hates herself for her weakness (she fled with her brother rather than stay to protect her tribe and family; she was 15 full years old at the time of their deaths), her brother will later become her right-hand man. Head of a small mercenary clan. At the time of her meeting with Grievous, she was working under the Khan Irrijar. Her relationship with Grievous began a few years after they met. Mikir has three children with Grievous. Before that, there were two aborted pregnancies and three children by him who died giving birth. This finally broke her completely. Mikir is very hyper-patient with her children and those close to her because of her fear of loss. Takes it upon herself to take care of all the clan members to feel useful and cope with the pain of loss.

5. Rigraz san Marrak - born as jai Emezzez. She is the adopted daughter of Ursaddi san Marrak. Rigraz tries not to remember her birth father. Rigraz's mother died of dystocia (folliculostasis, in simple language - obstruction of the oviducts, as a consequence of necrosis and death) after the birth of her only daughter, and Rigraz's father was disturbed by grief. He sincerely believed that the albino girl was responsible for her mother's death and other misfortunes, that she was cursed. He tried to "cure" the curse by abusing the child in every possible way. For example, he carved the clan symbol of a passing Kalish into her face, convinced that this would drive the demons out of Rigraz. Once he sicced a mewmuu pup on her, Rigraz miraculously survived. His final atrocity was an attempt to burn his daughter alive, which was foiled by Ursaddi, who was passing by with his troop. Ursaddi adopted Rigraz, gave her his clan and territorial name, and did much to help the girl overcome and essentially forget her past life. In character, Rigraz is mean, rude, stubborn, and fierce. She first spotted Grievous as a potentially interesting man and began matchmaking with him out of boredom. Grievous accepted her advances. Rigraz often argues and vouchsafes with other wives, places no value on anyone else's seniority and pulls the blanket over herself. Has 5 children with Grievous, this was her first pregnancy. Surprisingly good and caring mother, very fiercely protective of her children and family. The only opinions she listens to are her non-blood father and Grievous.

6. Shimirrailu is a very spiritual and devout woman in a good way. A priest by work and vocation. Ever since she was a child, she has dreamed of becoming a Spiritual Leader. Her parents insisted that the girl undergo her initiation of her first hunt and learn how to handle various weapons. And afterwards, if she didn't change her mind, Shimirrailu would be free to become a Spiritual Leader or whatever. Shimirrailu is calm and patient in nature, but that doesn't mean you can lord it over her or disregard her opinions. Her meeting with Grievous took place during her losing battle against a superior Huk force. Shimirrailu has five children with Grievous.

7. Rarek Kresh is the protagonist in my works. Tough, harsh and cold. Shuns outsiders, but at the same time is very attached to her family, soft and kind to them. Sensitive to the Force, trained by her long dead ghost parents on both sides of the Force. Four years younger than Grievous, was married before him and had a child. Does not know or have met any living blood relatives. At the time she met Grievous, she was a mercenary. No children in common. Survived capture by the Huks and further slavery. Hailed as one of the most brutal pirate admirals of our time. Became involved in the Separatist movement after learning of a Kaleesh named Grievous. Hates the Sith for what they did to her family. Jedi too. Rarek is one of the most evil and crippled members of that family. Coming from a nomadic tribe.

8. Suanim san Deidarri - descendant of pirates settled on Kalee, hacker and head of a guerrilla group of former slaves, zanimpnym stealthy rescue of kin and pocketing hack equipment. She's led the Grievous Khaganate into major Huk bases several times. At one extremely difficult moment for her rebel cell (Suanim is not a professional hacker and "ice pick", as well as her squad are not special forces, they are quite few, no more than 200 people in total, and sooner or later more technically advanced hacks would have figured them out, which happened) Suanim came to Grievous with an offer that could not be refused - she offered to unite their forces for the war against a common enemy. Grievous agreed. Suanim worked with him a couple of years before Grievous married Rigraz and Shimirailu, but became his wife much later. In character, she is a cunning, wicked-eyed and very self-aware woman who will do anything for the well-being of those she considers her own. Three children by Grievous.

9. Hariza Varrani, a pirate by birth, ended up on Kali in a most incongruous way. Fleeing from another raid, she came out of hyperspace near Kalee, where Grievous's VCS forced her to land. The Khaganate needed ships for the war with the Huks, and how they would get those ships was immaterial. Hariza wasn't about to give away her honestly earned ship to someone unknown, but forces weren't on her side. So she made a risky but effective deal - she would give the ship to the Khaganate, but in return she would become Grievous' wife (she didn't like him, but the choice was to stay on a foreign planet surrounded by her war-ravaged kin or to become the wife of a strange but respected man who wasn't so bad, and retain the remnants of her independence and some integrity), and Hariza also demanded from Grievous the right to remain the pilot of her ship. Grievous agreed, putting a dozen more of his soldiers on the ship as crew. At first Hariza was not happy with her marriage of convenience, but later grew accustomed and attached to Grievous. She has four children with him. She'd grown roots in their not inconsiderable clan. Grievous called her Koufia, after the snake she resembled in colour. Or RiRi, which the rest of the tribe picked up on. After Martyr's death, Hariza had become her own shadow. Nothing left of the bright, puckish, and angry woman, she died with Grievous. Most of the day she just lay there staring at nothing, remembering the husband she once didn't even want to know. Hariza lived on inertia. One day she just didn't wake up, that night she dreamt of a living Grievous.

10. Mizir san Karraz is a homely, sweet and quiet girl. Mizir's family comes from the outskirts of Kaleela, the named capital of Kalee. Mizir is the eldest of 6 children of the family, very kind and caring, loving to babysit her siblings from a young age. She loves working with fabrics and various jewellery, making up and telling stories. Open and friendly, but also shy around those who seem to be the standard of a warrior. Mizir is extremely mediocre in combat, but that doesn't mean she is helpless or defenseless. Mizir, as well as her siblings, are brightly coloured and rare among Kaleesh, making them desirable prey for hacks. Not all Kaleesh have chosen to fight the invaders, some have chosen to sell their own kin to the Huks for wealth or their own lives. Mizir's parents hid their children in the forests where the Huks would not go. But one day they didn't make it, someone turned them in. Mizir did everything she could to keep her siblings hidden, diverting attention to herself, but she ended up falling into the clutches of the Huks. She was in slavery for a short time and didn't suffer physically (people like Mizir are rare and piece goods, the hacks make sure to keep them safe). She was pulled out, along with other lucky ones, by Grievous and his squad. Mizir was scared shitless and incredibly far from her home, Grievous brought her to his place, not knowing where to put a young, frightened woman unfit for war. Eventually, that's where she stayed, becoming his wife. Almost immediately she fell in love with Grievous. It is Mizir who is in charge of the household and food, helping the other wives with the children. Mizir is an excellent herbalist, and her skills have helped the family and the Kaganate many times when medical supplies have been interrupted. Mizir has one daughter by Grievous. She and her daughter have managed to keep the memory of Grievous and his not-dying-in-a-bacta-camera alive. By my headcanons, Grievous' wives and children had their memories of his survival erased to keep them out of the wrong places.

Ghostsoap but make it Skyrim! I've seen someone else's ideas about this, but I wanted to put in my own two cents. Brainworms under the cut.

Soap is an orc, first son of the cheif of their strongholds. He... Uh. Doesn't do what's typical, and goes adventuring instead of fighting his dad to death for the name of chief. And does mercenary work instead! Either he learns destruction magic on the road, or he learns it from one of his dads wives, this detail is yet to be smoothed out, but either way, Soap needs his explosions in all AUs.

Ghost is a Nord. He is a big blond nord from Dawnstar, and he joined the Imperial army specifically to piss off his Stormcloak dad. He gets captured by the Thalmor and gets tOuRTuReD (yay trauma) and decided to quit the army after escaping the high elves. He travels around, doing odd jobs, like assassinations, for cheap. He is NOT. I REPRAT NOT PART OF THR DARK BROTHERHOOD, but he will take up jobs for them too, if one job requires a more snipery touch. Much like Soap, he maintains the sniper/sneak archer skill set from CoDMW2.

Price is a Jarl, and in the running for High King. He doesn't have his bucket hat in this AU, but he gets a crown, and they are basically the same thing. I think he would replace Bulgruuf if I made a whole fic of this, but, it is yet to be determined. Price met Ghost before he got super mega traumatised, when he wasn't even a proper soldier yet, and he was running let's to and from cities. After the whole Thalmor thing, they hung out a lot more, Ghost even acting as an advisor of sorts for a while. Price met Soap through Gaz. They have been friendly, Price going so far as to hire Soap a couple times to sort out nearby ruins and deal with problems that are a little out of the Companion's depth.

Gaz is Price's housecarl. He does a great job of making sure Price goes to bed at a semi-reasonable hour, because Price would work himself to the bone if he could. Gaz is the eldest son of silversmiths from Markarth, and so he appreciates a piece of jewellery or two. Gaz met Soap in Markarth, on one of his week long vacations to visit family, and they got on like a house on fire. I'm tempted to make Gaz an Imperial. SO I WILL!

Basically the story of 2 traumatised dumbasses (affectionate) who cause more trauma to each other, mixed in with palace plots, 2 other simps, a bunch of jealous women, far too many characters (including king Wendy and his two wives) and revenge, revenge, revenge and more revenge. And obviously, Love. The classic.

The only reason this is rated this low is because this was way too long to watch and everything else on this list is spectacular.

4. The General's lady

This show is practically 'scary man who is only nice to his (1) woman.' That is it. That's the story. No one cares about the plot.

This was the first c drama that I watched. And honestly, this story is not that great overall in terms of plot and everything, but has enough sweetness to make me swoon every 10 seconds.

3. Legend of Yunxi.

The open-ended tragedy of the medicine girl and the fake prince who is supposedly a monster. Not to forget mentioning the million other very important characters and flower valley owner, Mr.secondary love interest. Cold guy, who has a backstory, meets 'ugly' smart girl and tries to kill her at first sight. She runs and meets sweet guy, who has a backstory of his own. turns out, she gets married to cold guy anyway so no point in running. Don't worry, In this story everything is connected.

This was the second drama that I watched and has the most intense plot so far. unpopular opinion: I love the ending! To me, personally, it makes sense.

2.The Eternal Love

What do you do when you have 3 seasons of the same plot, but repeated falling in love and too much Humour ? You Binge watch only season 1 and ignore the other two.

Season 1 : Bossy, sarcastic Real estate agent gets transmigrated to the past, into the body of a Meek, responsible girl. Drama ensues when the body that now holds two souls, has to get married to the hot brother of OG girl's lover. There is now a love square that only the two girls and their hilarious maid know exist and everyone is confused. The 14th brother's outfits are terrible, the king has a glitter crown, the OG girl's lover gets possessed and now has great eyeliner, everyone has a secret tragic past and there is a demon king who walks around a circle chanting " I'm a bitch " 49 times.

Season 2 : They travel back in time and go back to the future. and only our hot guy knows what happens. and everything happens again. but everything is diffrent and there are now 2 hot guys.

Season 3 : This time, they get transported into an alternate reality where women rule and our Leads get soul swapped into the bodies of the ones in that universe. But, this time, the difference is, this dimension's hot guy is present most of the time and our hot guy only gets released when a memory comes to him. BUT, every time they kiss, he turns back into this universe hot guy, making everyone confused. again.

1. The Romance of Tiger and Rose

Normal day script writer gets transported into her own story and the only way she can go home is to finish the story without dying. Too bad she gets transported into the body of the mean girl, The hero's first wife who he poisons. Someone who is literally the first person to die. The someone who dies 3 episodes in.

But uh oh! now that she survives, the whole story goes up in flames and while trying to get the hero and heroine (her sister) together, she makes the hero fall for her, makes the heroine turn into the villain and overall fucks up the plot in the worst and best way possible. She didn't even have to try. Oh, and she also made another guy fall in love with her which makes her husband the king of jelousy.

Worthy mention to their Servants, Bai ji and Zi Rui, who each share 1 of their own masters' brain cells and are absolutely done with their masters' constant lovey dovey bullshit.

Viserys Targaryen: Didn’t show Rhaenyra how to rule, neglected his children and raped his two wives. Caused Aemma’s death and is responsible for the Dance of the Dragons.

Daemon Targaryen: Domestic abuser, neglected Rhaena since she doesn’t have a dragon and I wouldn’t be surprised if he did try to kill Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey to ensure his pure Valyrian children ascended the iron throne.

Jaehaerys Targaryen: Treated his daughters like trash and honestly his older sister Rhaena deserved the Iron Throne.

Aegon IV: Treated his son Daeron like trash, caused a succession crisis and raped his wife Naerys until sadly it killed her.

Aerys Targaryen: Traumatised Viserys and Rhaella, raped his wife and possibly fathered Tyrion Lannister.

Rhaegar Targaryen: Abandoned his wife and children, raped a child and abandoned her. Elia and Lyanna deserved better.
