Happy Tuesday Fandom! If that's a thing lol Officially half way through s3. Insane. I love this episode. It’s one giant married moment. They are at the height of their banter and marriage flow in this one. This episode is one big continuous work flirt that doesn’t stop. Idk why people didn’t like this ep when it first premiered. It’s Chenford gold. I remember loving this kind of ep for Castle too. It was split for that fandom as well. I think they’re hilarious snippets I enjoy them a lot. The looks alone in this one are primo. This one is more me analyzing their commentary on the case since everyone is segregated in this one. But lets get started.

3x07 True Crime

We start our ep off with Tim and Lucy being the ones called to Corey’s house. There was signs of blood and they enter the house and find a ton of it. Thus starts their amazing run of snippets in this episode. They are being interviewed since they were apart of the investigation. Tim is instantly surly with the director LOL Shock surprise eh? Last thing he wants to do is be here. To him they could be out on the streets instead of this. Lucy is the natural antithesis to him about this. Legit beaming and he is miserable.

The epitome of grumpy x sunshine in every single way. These interview pieces showcase that so well. It makes me giddy and happy haha Tim wants to get out of this ASAP. While Lucy is so excited to be there answering any and all questions. Even cuts him off in her excitement. She is bursting at the seams with elation. Then apologizes to Tim but still can't contain her glee by saying ‘This is fun.‘ Tim judges her some more I’m dying. The look on his face at the end of the second gif above. LMAO

This next section I like to call. ‘How to show you’re in love with someone without saying a word.’ By Timothy Bradford. He is all heart eyes in this scene. First one he's settling in to listen. When his girl speaks he listens, second is him agreeing wholeheartedly with her assessment and lastly is heart eye/admiration city. Doesn't take his eyes off her most of this scene. They’re talking about Corey Harris’s acting class. How he used them to start a bling ring to steal from celebrities. Tim goes on to say how anyone they caught wouldn’t flip on Corey. So he got away with it.

Lucy adds in her own portion. Explaining how Corey promised his students everything. Money, fame. This in turn inserted him in their lives even further. Basically convincing his students he could control their destinies. Saying he did this because he probably didn’t have any control over his own. Tim is just nodding along with a proud look on his face. Just admiring her take on it. 100 percent loving her analysis of him. You know he loves how her brain works. He is just sitting back and enjoying her breakdown of Corey. As transparent as a glass of water sir.

What comes next always has me rolling when I watch this ep. Gotta love the way Lucy tells him like it is no matter the situation. Keeps him in check. Tim is so cocky in his deliverance of his teacher line. Smug really and Lucy shoots that down instantly. He’s all smiles (love this man's smile btw it does things to me. mmm) then realizes how much she’s got him on this. He is dead to rights and has no comeback. You watch in the gifs above he goes from smug and smiley to straight up defeated LOL

He exhales with a ‘You win’ sigh. It’s fantastic. He thought he had this clever quip against Corey. Survey says no. Wifey shut you down lmao Her face through out the whole scene is so funny. Like this is her idiot and she can’t help but poke fun at him for his comment. This moment will always make me laugh. He’s being so ridiculous and she doesn’t let him live it down in the slightest. Her reaction in the final gif is the best. Can't believe he's being such a goober. The work flirt begins and does not stop. Be more married you two please.

They end up finding a script at one of their crime scenes. The director thinks this is an odd thing to stumble upon. Apparently it is a completely normal thing in LA according to Tim. Just another day on the job in this city ha Their polar opposite replies are so indicative of them as characters. The way Lucy is like well yeah when they’re asked if they’ve written one. Tim's is an instant and hard 'God, No' LMAO. These two. Opposites truly do attract.

Her face in the first gif what makes me laugh so hard. That sheepish embarrassment. Eric and Melissa are just pure gold in this one. Their looks alone are some of the best parts besides the banter. Tim can read her like a damn book. All he has to do is look over at her and see her answer. At first he’s waiting for her to say she hasn’t either. Expecting her to follow suit.

She does not…his body language while he’s waiting for her verbal answer is so funny. Like a slow realization. Then it’s judgy city after that. The way she weakly defends why she has is too damn funny. He is none too pleased she has written one. We all know how Tim feels about screen writers. His face says everything. God I love these two sfm.

Their looks in this one have me rolling the entire episode. Eric is the master when it comes to this in the first place. He crushes it in this one they both do. His reaction to her excitement as they get closer to the climax of this case is hilarious. The judgy side eye and furrowed brow he gives her above is extremely amusing.

Tim truly doesn’t understand why she’s enjoying this so damn much. He’s trying to just get through it and be done. His grumpy old man is showing extra hard in this moment. Her sunshine demeanor despite him is amazing. She is of course the opposite and doesn’t know why he doesn’t enjoy this whole thing more LOL Lucy is having a friggin blast. Its coming off her in waves every time it comes back to them.

I feel like Lucy owns Tim’s ass for most of this ep. He literally doesn’t stand a chance against her witty comebacks. Every time he tries to be cocky or make a joke she shuts him down so hard. His crack about a woman scorned. Lucy puts him in check real quick with that one. His soft tone when he says he’s not trivializing it....(but you are my love)

He doesn’t want her to be mad at him for his stupid comment. Then she takes him to school even further with her logical stats. He has nothing to say except 'Most...'' No leg to stand on Timothy haha. Lucy is proud of her self for this one. No one puts Tim Bradford in check better than Lucy Chen. We all LOVE it. (He does too let's be honest...) This episode is pure gold for their banter. Married idiots in this one for all to see.

The director then comments on how Lucy was the one who broke the case wide open. Lucy is beaming from ear to ear. Lights up like a Christmas tree at hearing this. She is so excited to be recognized. Tim isn’t so fast to heap on that particular praise. Now Tim doesn’t give praise out easily to begin with. Add in she just schooled him in front of the director, he’s gonna be extra salty haha The director then asks well if he wouldn't describe it as such how would he?

Tim takes a shot at her social media addiction as his answer. Then Lucy looks like she wants to punch him so hard. Like how very dare he say about her. Ha She is so affronted telling the director 'That’s hurtful' LOL (but a little true...) Side note. I can totally see them in bed. Tim falling asleep to her endless scrolling. It becoming a comfort thing for him. Her going till she is ready to sleep. Shortly after him I imagine. Tis a nice thought to think about now that they're together. But let's get back to the present ep at hand before I daydream any further hehe

The cute looks in that final gif though. Be still my heart. She is so exasperated with him and he’s soaking it up. No regrets whatsoever taking her praise and boiling it down to luck. The absolute shameless flirting going on between these two. It’s like they don’t even know they're putting on a show for this director LMAO It's truly delightful.

Lucy scrambles to defend herself. It’s pretty comical. Saying she was on her phone doing ‘research’ Tim shaking his head but enjoying this none the less. Says that she got a notification and that’s what drew her eye to Corey's video showing he's alive. Lucy says she still has the video on her phone. So ready to take Tim down a peg. She pulls it up and it’s her on her own page doing some sort of dance. I’m laughing so hard.

I want to see this video in its entirety. Read the comments. All of it. I don't know what’s funnier Lucy being mortified that came up or Tim wanting a peak at the video. He’s confused as hell but wanting to see what she was showing the director. If you need a pick me up episode this is it. This one doesn’t disappoint on so many levels.

His confused face is everything after she quickly hides her phone. There are facets to her personality that allude him completely. This is one of them. Alas Timothy this is the woman you’ve chosen to love hahaha I love her being a dork sfm though. It’s that light hearted dork that brings the best out in him as we see in s5.

Their final scene doesn’t disappoint. Lucy’s face during his rant LOL. Tim going off saying what a waste of time this is, he should be doing stuff more important. Said this before but that line from Aaron in S5 fits perfectly for this rant. He's the old dude from 'Up' Such a good line because its so true for him. I love him so much for his grumpiness though. You know Lucy does too. Loves every piece of this man.

Her face is like the wife letting her husband rant even though she thinks he’s wrong. Tim gets humbled one last time. The director tells him about his last project. The way Lucy watches him the entire scene is adorable. She loves her idiot. The look they share after he says ‘Oh. Alrighty then.’ The smirk on Lucy's face. I can not. He has grown so much btw to not to be continuously defensive after he's corrected. Just rolls with it in this last scene. Like Oh... Oops.

Tim gets the last laugh though. Lucy is beaming slash word vomiting her love of true crime while Tim rolls his eyes LOL Thanking the director for letting her be in this. She is exuding sunshine and happily looking at him. When she finishes up Tim pops her happy bubble. Tells her about the thing in her hair. They’re constantly trying to one up the other. Take each other down a peg. Competitiveness even in an interview. Unreal. Lucy has his number this entire episode. So it’s only fair Tim gets his shot in last minute.

I do love in the second gif he stops himself from getting said thing out of her hair though. You watch him reach for it then stop his hand before it makes the full journey. Lucy is so affronted she doesn’t even notice. Her arm is already up and blocking any attempt to grab it anyways. I do love his almost attempt though. It's the little things.

Lucy is so mad he let that be in her hair the entire time. He did it because well it’s Tim. I adore these two so very much. He sighs heavily as she berates him on the way out. So exasperated by her it’s so funny. This is such a fun flirty light hearted episode for them. We got their banter in spades with side helping of heart eyes and flirtation. One of my fav eps of the season for them. Much needed levity after the intensity of the last two.

Not much. Was good to find out what happened to Sterling. Gino just disappeared last year without a trace. So having ending to them was nice to have.

Harper was hilarious during the interviews to always love me some Nyla Harper. ❤️

The third outfit of “Dead Man’s Chest” (Season 2, Episode 3) is a beautiful white velvet dress with a burnt-out floral design, along with a large necklace, swirling hair slides, ring, and earrings. Her glittering heels are actually discarded to the side as she talks with Jack, so she’s both comfortable and fabulous!

The dress is made of a gorgeous white burnout velvet, which is created by  exposing the velvet to a chemical treatment in order to dissolve part of the fabric and leave behind a semi-transparent pattern. The sleeveless dress has a flattering v-neckline and a dropped waist that’s accented by two curving lines of sequins. The hem is flared to give the dress movement as it sways. We’ve seen this dress once before, in “Blood and Circuses” (1x10) when she’s speaking with Samson at home, then in “Game, Set, Murder” (3x07), and also as part of several promotional shoots.

Phryne’s statement piece is her large reproduction Faberge necklace with a jeweled chain and a purple oval inset, surrounding by semi-circular designs and a small sunburst section at the bottom. She pairs this with a large flower ring with jeweled petals and a pearl center, along with her curving jeweled hair slides that have appeared previously in “Murder in the Dark” (1x12).

Thoughts on the 3c Promo

Really ugly of Terri to ruin the swing set scenes like this. The first two swing scenes were really the closest Tyrus has ever come to equal focus with the het ships and now the last swing scene we’ll ever see will be an angsty muddled mess. I know this ultimately ends with Cyrus and TJ reconciling and later getting together and Kira learning to respect others and apologizing but so much is going to have to be swept under the rug to pull it off. It’s fair to say that we shouldn’t prejudge this storyline but we don’t need to pretend that it’s going to be a satisfying journey when TJ only has 2 eps left after 3x15 and there’s only a handful of Tyrus scenes left. It’s going to be a real sharp contrast on how little we get of TJ’s coming out story line compared to how much we got for his learning disability story line. I can certainly see why Luke and Josh were begging people to keep watching until the finale in interviews. 

Terri pulled a neat trick by making TJ both the victim and the bad guy. The casual audience won’t like him and will likely never fully understand what this plot was about even after the bench scene. It’s going to be extremely difficult for TJ’s apology to be so good as to avoid Cyrus coming off as a little bit pathetic for accepting it and then later dating TJ. Why should Cyrus trust TJ? Why would Andi and Buffy support Cyrus and TJ getting together? 

Even if TJ later on tells Cyrus that Kira was manipulating him, how do they justify Kira being at the big party in the finale? It sure looks like she gets off with a slap on the wrist. What’s the message for the kids watching? If you’re manipulative and low key homophobic as long as you apologize later it’s all good and you can hang with the people you hurt? It’s good to show kids that even bad people can be redeemed but what exactly can Kira do to redeem herself when Raquel was only on set for one more day after 3x15 and that was the same day all the other kids were on set.

There’s been a noticeable pattern of TJ’s screentime with Cyrus being reduced over S3: we get Avi’s screentime in 3x08 coming out of Luke’s, TJ only being briefly in 3x11, TJ getting his usual 3 minutes in 3x13 but half of that being with Kira, and now likely most of his screentime in 3x15 being with Kira. They never made Walker have scenes with Amber when he was Andi and Buffy’s love interest and it’s transparent why they’re forcing TJ to have solo scenes with Kira. And we’re soon at the point where TJ was basically shoved off screen. It really doesn’t reflect well on this show that whatever semblance of equality Tyrus has with the straight ships is an accidental byproduct of Stoney being exposed as a pedophile. 

The closeted jock is a cliche trope and at least when shows like Degrassi and Glee used it they actually were able to tell those stories openly. It’s insane that we’re going from TJ being this scared in 3x15 to coming out to and getting together with Cyrus and then being out to at least Andi, Buffy, and Jonah with just two more appearances which likely don’t span more than a month or two in universe. It will be a wonderful ending, but how on earth will it be justified? 

The ep description describes Cyrus being disappointed by TJ’s new friendship and I think that’s the level they’ll keep it at. They’ll come close to bearding TJ but will keep this conflict firmly in the realm of friendship. We’ve already seen Cyrus being scared of his sexuality and trying to hide it after he realized he liked Jonah but this time around TJ already knows he’s gay and likes Cyrus and unlike Cyrus he won’t be having multiple coming outs spread out over several months; he’ll be out to all the people he’ll be allowed to be out to all in one night. 

TJ’s wearing the camo hoodie from 3x07 and he’s wearing black jeans like he was wearing in 2x11 and the swings look similar to the swings from 2x11. Kira is in the swing Cyrus sits in which is intentional. We saw from the promo a few weeks back that Cyrus is wearing blue and Kira is in red which is symbolic as is TJ being literally camouflaged and of course the blatant metaphor of swinging. Cyrus will obviously take this as a private betrayal when he sees them on the swings which compounds the public betrayal of costume day. It was always going to end badly since 3x15 was TJ’s last appearance until after the original wedding. 

It’s going to be muddled and subtextual but I think Cyrus is the one who leaves and later TJ reaches his breaking point and begins his off screen journey of working through his issues and this is likely what causes Kira to show some remorse and sets up her brief apology in the finale. The show giving some focus to TJ’s coming out story line would be admirable if they hadn’t already been barely able to cover Cyrus’ story line and Terri comes off as more delusional than naive for thinking she could pull this off. I’ll really miss the show when it ends in 6 weeks but I won’t miss Disney’s censorship or Terri’s questionable writing. 

It looks like the GHC + Jonah uncover clothes in the dumpster one day and the protest/jail scene is another day. Good to see Jonah participating this time around. Likely one of the last big plots all 4 of the main kids have together to this extent. Probably the general theme will be to show how great the GHC + Jonah are as friends in contrast to how TJ’s being a bad friend to Cyrus and Kira is being a bad friend to TJ. It looks like they kids discover the clothing company is throwing out perfectly good clothing, trespass to take the thrown out clothes, and later puts them on display outside the store.

It looks like the bowling alley is now in 3x16 and the new basketball plot for Muffy is likely in 3x17. Cyrus at least is at the bowling alley and he was briefly on set for the basketball plot as well. It will be bitterly funny if he’s the one who helps Buffy work through her feelings for Marty. 

Andi and Cyrus in Andi Shack, always nice to see those two have scenes together.  The rainbow wig looks like the one Cyrus wore while dancing in 1x04. Could be related to Andi’s art project? We see her near the prop garbage in one clip. Maybe this is where Cyrus talks about his screenplay?

The promo asks if Bexie will get married, if 3x16 is the big reveal of Bowie’s true feelings it could be set up for a Mack family only wedding in 3x17 but we’ll have to see.

Awkward Jamber is probably before their go kart date which is likely where they break up.

Cyrus and Jonah camp out looks fun, seems like they’re viewing the meteor shower Cyrus mentioned in the texts.

I really hope Celia’s dancing is only a very brief scene

On the Sizzy thing I see where anon is coming from. It does make sense from an arc standpoint but it was ricidulous they had her miss 2 episodes. I did enjoy the Sizzy scenes also but the writing is in the wall. The writers are transparent. Maybe anon is just afraid of them not treating Maia right. They purposely ignored SumonMaia by not promoting them like they did with Climon, another temporary ship. We know Sizzy is coming eventually but the writers aren’t even classy about it.

I think the problem is not Sizzy or Maia missing 2 episodes, the actual problem is that the writing, in general, is all over the place. F.e. the Maia/Jordan flashback felt completely out of place in the 3x07 ep... they should have happened way sooner. Same with the Simon/Lewis family situation. That also felt like they just needed something for Simon to do to keep him away from Lilith a bit longer. You know what I mean?

If they would have combined their plots altogether a bit more, developed relationships better, we wouldn’t even have these problems. Maia might have not even missed eps or the Sizzy development would have been better. But now it is just what it is. And don’t get me wrong, I love Maia with all my heart and I am still hopeful they do her right.

Roll Credits | A (mostly) Westallen Series

So, you hear me talk about Roll Credits sometimes on here. But unless you actually go to the Series tab on my AO3 account (or follow my side blog), you prob don’t know exactly what I’m talking about.

In this post, I will sum up what RC is, give you links (AO3 only) to all the fics currently in the series and the ideas I have that just haven’t been written yet b/c I lost inspiration (which is not to say it won’t come back someday, just that for the time being those ideas are on hold).

Roll Credits is essentially a collection of missing westallen (mostly) scenes from season 3 episodes [EDIT: Scenes from other seasons will also now be included]. I never write one for an episode before it airs, because I rly try to make these scenes fit canon as much as is humanly possible, and so I want to see what the episode gave us, so I can know how to realistically fit it in.

It should also be noted that while these are “deleted” scenes from the episodes, they do all relate to each other. So, there may be references to previous fics in the series included in later ones that you wouldn’t know just by watching the show. They’re believable in canon, but they aren’t mentioned in the episodes b/c I came up with them, so it’s more beneficial to read all the fics to fully understand and appreciate them. Still, for the most part they are minor things that can be ignored and the fics can still be understood. The only exception to this are fics that are more or less written in a mini-series and take place one right after the other. The 3x16 and 3x19 fics are specific examples of this.

1. Sometimes I wonder if people watch the show or just scenes on youtube. "Clarke didn't mourn L, she needs to cry this season" Maybe it's because they stopped watching the show after 3x07 and then they only watched 3x16, otherwise... what was the whole s3b? Did we watch the same show? She actuallly showed her pain, she mourned her more than she did for Wells or her dad. How many characters we've seen mourning their loved ones?

2. and CL got that screen time but let’s ignore canon and expect her not to find love and happiness anymore. This is not about CL vs BC it’s about Clarke!!!! Let her move on like she did when her dad, her best friend and the guy she loved died, like all the characters did and will do. Idealistically, yes, they should have time to mourn and heal but they don’t have it, none of them. 3. Tbh it seems they don’t care about Clarke, they just want her to be miserable, and it’s transparent that most of them ship characters who lost someone, don’t they need to mourn? is the rule “have to mourn” only applicable to clarke? Didn’t they ship CL when they kissed after Finn’s death? I’m sorry, I needed to vent because they’re trying to make us feel guilty and I’m done with their hypocrisy.

They’re wrong.

They’re not wrong for their interpretation (even if I could find loads of evidence to disprove their interpretation, I won’t, because they’re not wrong for HAVING their interpretation,) but they ARE wrong for telling us our interpretation is wrong and unjust. 

Don’t let anyone guilt you for shipping Bellarke.

They are wrong to do so. That’s on them, not you. 

This is the basis of fandom. Ship and let ship. 

Even if they are being “polite” when they tell you how wrong it is to ship Bellarke and how rude you are being to not put CL first, they are still wrong. 

I mean, if they wanted to talk about the nature of love and grief and forgiveness and healthy love and power and trust, well then, we really should have been allowed to talk about it with CL back in season 3. But we weren’t. If we said, “but wait, can we talk about how Clarke has lost her agency in Polis?” we were called lesbophobes who were invalidating a wlw relationship.

But now, it’s all of a sudden our burden to put Clarke’s trauma before shipping Bellarke, when in Polis she was powerless and in pain, spitting and cursing and screaming and broken and kidnapped and crying and admittedly self hating, and if we dared to suggest that was anything but beautiful true love we were The Devil. 

Let’s just stop and look. I was harassed and targeted for a year because I saw my own experience as a victim of domestic abuse in Clarke’s story. I was actually cyberbullied because I was engaging with The 100 as a victim of domestic abuse. Just one more time. I was cyberbullied for being the victim of domestic abuse. They took MY real life trauma, and used it to build up social justice arguments for their fictional ship and get notes on their posts where they slandered me and sent their followers to harass me. 

But NOW I am being called rude and selfish because I don’t put the trauma caused by L’s death (and only that trauma, none of the others,) above what I see as a healthy relationship and Clarke’s ability to be resilient in life and move on. 

Yeah.

See, I don’t have to be polite when people politely come to my blog, anon or not, to politely tell me I have to be politely respectful of the CL ship.

I respect and support real life LGBT people, and I support their need to process life experiences and trauma and have positive representation and engage in fiction as they see fit. This is why I don’t go to CL blogs and tell them they are wrong or rude or whatever. That is how I’m being polite and respectful. Shipping Bellarke and being happy about their interaction in season 4 is not being rude.

Asking Bellarke shippers to “respect” their ship and fandom by not shipping Bellarke is outrageous. Stop taking lessons from Lxa, who forced Clarke to kill her first love and then told her it would haunt her for the rest of her life, and kissed her only a few days later. And asked her to come home with her after betraying her and dooming her people to death.

Respecting Clarke’s trauma and grief, huh?

That is 45 minutes I will never get back {8x09 Review}

As those of you who read my reviews know, I do write in real time so whatever mistakes I made in the beginning of the post I may have rectified at the end. I am anti-Damon/anti-Delena/anti-Bamon/anti-Bonenzo/anti-Steroline and I will probably mention misogynoir, anti-black treatment and make references to other shows. If you do not like it, keep on scrolling. I also did this on my phone so bear with me. Alright. Let’s go. 1. It’s actually refreshing to see Stefan feed on a dude because it seems like we only ever see them feed on women lately. 2. Why aren’t cops interested in a string of murders happening throughout the States? They aren’t exactly keeping a low profile. Stefan massacred an entire hospital and Anger Management group. 3. TVD really fails the Bechdel test and I like how we don’t actually hear about Bonnie’s trip to Paris, just that she’s wearing a vial of Enzo’s blood. 4. “Is that it? We’re due at an event” Candice’s delivery was actually on point. 5. I’m confused now, so Sybil is on the “war path” because she wants a weapon that can destroy her and now Seline wants to kill her to make amends (did I miss something? Because I know Sybil didn’t forgive her but, like, did they declare war on each other?) I still don’t understand why Caroline would team up with Seline? Or why Caroline would care about what’s happening with the sirens? Why are they relevant now that Damon and Stefan are Cade’s servants? 6. So this year the carnival was before Miss Mystic when Miss Mystic was before the carnival in seasons 1 and 2? 7. Stefan and Caroline looking at each other did not move me at all, it’s not even like they “locked” eyes, like it’s so underwhelming. Makes me miss 3x03. Sybil and Damon actually look so much better together than Damon and Elena since Sybil looks age appropriate. 8. They are REALLY trying to romanticize 1x19, fam, it was a dance and not even a “it all makes sense” dance like SE’s 3x14 and 3x20,it’s a “wow Damon, I didn’t know you could dance like that” dance and a “suck it, Stefan!” dance. They really need to fucking chill. 9. It’s also transparent that Stefan doesn’t have a flashback to Elena even though it’s been repeated that SE was the foundation of the show. And not even that, Caroline, Bonnie and Matt do not have flashbacks of Elena and Jeremy isn’t even mentioned but oh yeah, season 1 feels. 10. “Sybil just “sirened” that girl.” Lol, compelled. 11. Bonnie and Enzo actually just look awkward, they’re very stiff and Enzo is SO monotonous. 12. “What did that woman do to you?” Caroline, my girl, it isn’t that serious. He doesn’t know why the necklace meant something to him and he’s a little upset. Maybe if Ian actually played tortured well I’d feel something but right now, I’m just like why DOES the necklace mean anything to you? You gave it to Elena because it was an SE symbol and you wanted her to have it because it reminded her of Stefan. Why would YOU have any attachment to it? And you giving it back to her in 2x08 is about the fact that you gave it back, not the necklace itself. LIKE? 13. LOL yeah Caroline’s “a love so deep and magical” speech really just sounds like she’s trying to convince herself about her relationship with Stefan because when did Caroline actually see anything of the Damon and Elena relationship? Like honestly. 14. “Take it from me, Elena Gilbert never really goes away.” Mmmmmmmmmmhmmmmmmm. 15. Oh this is why DErs are going to freak out because he broke the necklace and he said that he only gave it to Elena to protect her from Damon, lol, but this season is full of retcons anyway, so. 16. I find it strange that Caroline is more focused on saving Damon than Stefan. 17. Oh my GOD, we’re only 20 minutes in? 18. Bonnie and Enzo do not look good dancing, they look uncomfortable. 19. I’m actually getting really annoyed at seeing the same footage of Elena and Damon dancing because it’s aggravating! There’s nothing more to this episode THAN the dance. Are we forgetting that the moment it’s over, Elena is all about Stefan? SELECTIVE MEMORY. 20. Why are we acting like Damon’s humanity will crush him? He was fine with killing Lexi, turning Vicki, killing Jeremy, killing Aaron, kidnapping Jeremy, trying to kill Caroline, raping and abusing Caroline, etc. Like why wouldn’t he be fine with this? Elena won’t care. 21. Why do they keep saying Matt is stupid? How is Alaric any smarter? A fucking siren was his nanny for months. 22. The battle for Damon’s subconscious is really underwhelming because I don’t see the big deal? Why does Sybil even want Damon? And what exactly is so strenuous about what’s going on in his mind? The fact that he’s remembering someone he can’t have feelings for? 23. This entire fight is ridiculous to me because I don’t know what Stefan and Damon are fighting about? Damon is feeling and Stefan isn’t and it’s a problem? Like? This is so underwhelming. 24. Bonnie and Enzo are just … ehh sure, whatever. Fine. 25. LMAO Caroline doesn’t even seem sad about what’s happening to Stefan. But Damon got all this pity? WHAT are the writers doing? 26. LMAO Caroline leaving Stefan just reminds me of 3x07 when Stefan is like, “So you’re quitting” and Elena being like “Oh hell no, I’m just done for the day, fam.” Like Elena was IN it. And Stefan actually had the capacity to look ashamed and moved and the language was a lot more passionate, not this “we had a deal” business, are you two engaged or business partners? 27. I honestly don’t get the storyline with Damon and Sybil, like it just seems so small potatoes, like what is the POINT? 28. So Sybil giving Damon back his humanity is Tessa giving Stefan back his memory. This episode was a mess because absolutely nothing happened. Caroline left Stefan. OK? Damon got his humanity back. Sure. And Bonnie asks Enzo to be a human. Fine? WHO GIVES A SHIT? WHO CARES. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? I also don’t get how Sybil made Damon’s life a living hell, because she forced him to kill people he didn’t want to but he did it anyway? That doesn’t seem to be the issue, the issue for Damon seems to be that he got a taste of his own medicine by being compelled, I’m sorry I mean “sirened” and that he couldn’t say no to Sybil even if he wanted to. And the fact that he feels nothing for Elena but still sees her and feels warmth because of a necklace is like … what, is it like you get one taste of happiness but then suddenly it disappears and you’re lost and alone and … WHAT? Like be LOTR, Frodo about it where Frodo doesn’t remember what water or food tastes like or the wind, have it be like Damon remembers ALL of these things when he holds the necklace but then Sybil manages to take that away from him and so he’s tortured with remembering happiness and he’s fighting to push out Elena’s memory because it hurts him too much to feel but she won’t budge. I feel like that’s what they’re trying to do but they’re doing it poorly. LIKE EVERYTHING DELENA. And Stefan. No one seems to care that Stefan is going off the deep end, like they just take him at his word that this is what he wants and this is what he was made to do and he’s his Best Self this way. He has no humanity! Why is Caroline just like, whatever, fine, sure but Damon is the one who needs saving? WHAT? And why is Caroline acting so superior as if she didn’t turn off her humanity two seasons ago and went around the country killing people? So it’s not OK for Damon to spiral, everyone needs to bend over backwards to stop Damon but if it’s Stefan, they just let him do the shit he wants? WHAT? This is how you know the show isn’t interested in story and only interested in their fave, which is Damon. Bonnie and Enzo just keep telling each other how much they love each other without us ever seeing why that would be. Old news. This was an excruciatingly bad episode.
