I just finished Somewhere Beyond The Sea by TJ Klune, the sequel to The House In The Cerulean Sea. I was supposed to be studying for uni, but I just couldn't put it down. And the acknowledgements... that's the bit that made me cry. Thank you so much, TJ Klune. An incredible book, highly relevant and simultaneously beautiful and timeless.

sometimes family is a regular man, his surprisingly smart (and capricious) cat, his phoenix husband, the antichrist, an amorphous slime boy, a nature sprite, a gnome, a wyvern, a shapeshifter, a yeti, a much older and more powerful nature sprite, and her girlfriend the mayor

Hi, do you know of any trans m/f romances? I feel like the majority of them are m/m, which I enjoy, but I want some variety sometimes!
Yes! Here are some of my favorites:

Okay but TJ being a doctor like Thomas but an at home one and he would be Batman when desperately needs him to be (Bruce is sick or hurt or away on business for example)
This makes so much sense for some reason and it seems canon to me
I hear you but chaotic deli owner TJ is so near and dear to me, — don’t get me wrong, guy is canonically a genius, and he FOR SURE hooks Bruce up with the latest tech (thanks to Lucius too, ofc. They’re science bros)
I truly do think TJ wakes up every morning , and his first thought is “hm how can I make Pop twist in his grave today” and just. Does it. Alfred has to live with the fact that his boys are walking disasters, and he wouldn’t change them for the world

I just realised something about Recess...
The Great Jungle Gym Standoff in Season 1 has TJ mention that "Old Rusty was here when [his] big brother was in school". And said big brother is never seen or even mentioned by TJ again.
Then in the movie Recess: School's Out after Season 5, we see that TJ has an older SISTER named Becky, with no mention of a brother at all.
Conclusion: Becky came out as a girl sometime after Gus moved to Third Street School and TJ (being the cool kid he is) accepted her without question, along with their parents.

Becky Detweiler is trans confirmed.

Chef’s Kiss by TJ Alexander
Tumblr media
A high-strung pastry chef’s professional goals are interrupted by an unexpected career transition and the introduction of her wildly attractive nonbinary kitchen manager in this deliciously fresh and witty queer rom-com.
Simone Larkspur is a perfectionist pastry expert with a dream job at The Discerning Chef, a venerable cookbook publisher in New York City. All she wants to do is create the perfect loaf of sourdough and develop recipes, but when The Discerning Chef decides to bring their brand into the 21st century by pivoting to video, Simone is thrust into the spotlight and finds herself failing at something for the first time in her life.
To make matters worse, Simone has to deal with Ray Lyton, the new test kitchen manager, whose obnoxious cheer and outgoing personality are like oil to Simone’s water. When Ray accidentally becomes a viral YouTube sensation with a series of homebrewing videos, their eccentric editor in chief forces Simone to work alongside the chipper upstart or else risk her beloved job. But the more they work together, the more Simone realizes her heart may be softening like butter for Ray.
Things get even more complicated when Ray comes out at work as nonbinary to mixed reactions—and Simone must choose between the career she fought so hard for and the person who just might take the cake (and her heart).
