its so silly but i just keep thinking abt being in norway and seeing for the first time kinda ever that like governments can do things to make peoples life better. for no other reason but just to improve things. like im sure norway has lots of problems i didnt see on a trip but i cannot stress how insane it was that the government had done things because it would be nice. to take care of people. ?????

Un corpo fragile e uno spirito indomito.
Una vita difficile, quella di Frida Kahlo, segnata dalla lunga malattia e da grandi passioni, vissute senza remore, incondizionatamente con tutta sé stessa, abbandonano al cuore la razionalità.
La passione per l’arte, quella per il suo Messico e l’amore tormentato per Diego Rivera, il compagno di una vita.
Quella di Frida è stata una vita breve ma ricchissima perché vivere col cuore non significa limitarsi a contare i giorni, i mesi o gli anni, ma significa contare le emozioni, perché la vita non è mera sopravvivenza. E non è vero che chi vive più a lungo vive di più.
Frida Kahlo è stata un’artista coraggiosa, capace di trasformare la sofferenza in ispirazione, le sconfitte in capolavori, plasmando opere che sono un urlo orgoglioso e potente alla sfida del vivere.
LA VITA E LE OPERE DI FRIDA KAHLO:
RIASSUNTO IN DUE MINUTI (DI ARTE)
1. Frida Kahlo (Coyoacán 1907 – 1954) è considerata una delle più importanti pittrici messicane. Molti la annoverano tra gli artisti legati al movimento surrealista, ma lei non confermerà mai l’adesione a tale corrente.
Fin da bambina dimostra di avere un carattere forte, passionale, unito ad un talento e a delle capacità fuori dalla norma. Purtroppo la sua forza di carattere compensa un fisico debole: è infatti affetta da spina bifida, che i genitori e le persone intorno a lei scambiano per poliomielite, non riuscendola così a curare nel modo adeguato.
2. La prova più dura per Frida arriva però nel 1925. Un giorno, mentre torna da scuola in autobus viene coinvolta in un terribile incidente che le causa la frattura multipla della spina dorsale, di parecchie vertebre e del bacino. Rischia di morire e si salva solo sottoponendosi a 32 interventi chirurgici che la costringono a letto per mesi.
Ha solo 18 anni e le ferite al fisico la faranno soffrire per tutta la vita, compromettendo irrimediabilmente la sua mobilità.
3. Durante i mesi a letto immobilizzata da busti di metallo e gessi, i genitori le regalano colori e pennelli per aiutarla a passare le lunghe giornate. Questo regalo darà avvio ad una sfolgorante carriera artistica.
La prima opera di Frida è un autoritratto (a cui ne seguiranno molti altri) che dona ad un ragazzo di cui è innamorata.
4. I genitori incoraggiano sin da subito questa passione per l’arte, tanto da istallare uno specchio sul soffitto della camera di Frida, così che possa ritrarsi nei lunghi pomeriggi solitari. È questo il motivo dei numerosi autoritratti dell’artista. Lei stessa dirà: “Dipingo autoritratti perché sono spesso sola, perché sono la persona che conosco meglio”.
5. Frida Kahlo nel 1928, a 21 anni, si iscrive al partito comunista messicano, diventando una convinta attivista. È in quell’anno che conosce Diego Rivera, il pittore più famoso del Messico rivoluzionario. Lo aveva incontrato per la prima volta quando aveva solo quindici anni (e lui trentasei), sotto i ponteggi della scuola nazionale preparatoria, mentre Diego stava dipingendo un murale per l’auditorium della scuola.
6. Nel 1929 sposa Diego, nonostante lui abbia 21 anni più di lei e sia già al terzo matrimonio. Inoltre Diego ha fama di “donnaiolo” e marito infedele. Il loro sarà un rapporto fatto di arte, tradimenti, passione e pistole. Lei stessa dirà: “Ho subito due gravi incidenti nella mia vita… il primo è stato quando un tram mi ha travolto e il secondo è stato Diego Rivera.”
7. Frida Kahlo ha avuto molti amanti (uomini e donne), tra cui il rivoluzionario russo Lev Trotsky e il poeta André Breton, ma non riuscì mai ad avere figli, a causa del suo fisico compromesso dall’incidente. Quando rimase incinta del primo figlio, Frida fece di tutto per portare avanti la gravidanza. Si dovette arrendere solo quando i medici la costrinsero ad abortire per evitare che perdessero la vita sia lei che il bambino.
8. Frida Kahlo e Diego potevano considerarsi una “coppia aperta”, più per le infedeltà di Diego che per scelta di Frida, che soffrì molto per i tradimenti del marito che ebbe persino una relazione con la sorella minore di Frida, Cristina.
Vista l’impossibilità di fare affidamento sulla fedeltà di Diego, i due decisero di vivere in case separate, unite tra loro da un piccolo ponte, in modo che ognuno di loro potesse avere il proprio spazio “artistico”.
9. Le opere di Frida kahlo sono spesso state accostate al movimento Surrealista, ma Frida ha sempre rifiutato tale vicinanza sostenendo: “Ho sempre dipinto la mia realtà, non i miei sogni”.
10. L’album dei Coldplay Viva la vida or Death and All His Friends (2008) si ispira ad una celebre frase che la Kahlo scrisse sul suo ultimo quadro, otto giorni prima della sua morte a soli 47 anni per cause ancora non del tutto certe.

j'ai rêvé que je nageais avec une baleine dans une piscine très profonde. le plafond était très haut parce qu'elle a sauté hors de l'eau et ça m'a entrainée vers le fond mais ça allait parce que je m'étais préparée, j'avais pris une grande inspiration juste avant. j'étais complètement impuissante contre le courant, j'étais projetée dans tous les sens mais j'avais pas peur. puis j'ai jailli hors de l'eau jusqu'au plafond et je me disais c'est dommage qu'y ait ce plafond quand même.
l'autre jour j'ai rêvé du libraire d'exc ou l'ex-libraire d'exc puisqu'il a été licencié, quand il l'a annoncé sur ig je lui ai envoyé un extrait de mon journal où je parle de lui ultra cringe x1000 mais j'ai pas pu m'en empêcher. parfois je peux pas stopper le cringe. dans le rêve on parlait d'argent, il me demandait si j'en avais assez pour finir le mois et pour manger à ma faim, je disais oui oui ça va mais je me sentais un peu coupable de lui avoir fait croire que j'étais dans le besoin alors que je suis pas pauvre, j'arrive juste pas à travailler.
hier dans le tram 68 pour alt-schmöckwitz, la plus belle ligne de la ville d'après reddit, j'ai de nouveau été aspirée par le gros trou du nihilisme. à quoi bon? à quoi ça sert d'être à berlin si j'arrive pas à vivre? j'avais mon sentiment d'irréparabilité, rien à faire, ça fonctionnera jamais. je sentais l'usure. je me sens usée jusqu'à la moelle par ma stagnation (je fais trainer mes os marrons, ça fait un bruit de rouille). j'ai croisé n. dans la cuisine ce matin et elle m'a dit que ça l'avait déprimée de revenir à berlin hier soir. elle a dit que ça lui faisait ça à chaque fois qu'elle rentrait à berlin. elle a passé les deux dernières semaines chez sa mère à la campagne, là elle vient de repartir pour la pologne. je pensais qu'elle aimait berlin moi. peut être que ça sert à rien de me laisser du temps et de laisser du temps à la ville pour me séduire. peut être que berlin ne veut pas me séduire. peut être que je sous-estime mon intuition et ma capacité à savoir ce que je veux et ce qui me convient et que ça sert à rien de se forcer. comment savoir? dans tous les cas, avant de partir d'ici je dois savoir exactement ce que je vais faire après. avoir un plan avant de me retrouver échouée à la maison comme une baleine en fin de vie. continuer à essayer. ne pas céder au trou. même si ça glisse.
hier pour rentrer j'ai longé les rails du tram jusqu'à grünau, ils longeaient la forêt d'un côté et la rivière de l'autre, cachée par la végétation et puis des bâtiments. sur la dernière partie ils passaient au milieu de la forêt de pins et je les longeais sur un petit sentier en marchant sur les pommes de pin qui craquaient sous mes baskets. j'étais soulagée de pas avoir peur. je me sentais bien en compagnie des grands pins au dessus de moi et j'ai commencé à chantonner une chanson inventée. j'ai pris la s bahn pour rentrer avec un sentiment de satisfaction et je suis restée dedans sans bouger jusqu'au terminus parce que j'avais pas envie de rentrer. je voulais aller voir love lies bleeding au cinéma et boire un coca, comme petit cadeau à moi-même, mais le film passait trop tard et puis mon short était sale parce que je m'étais assise sur des racines au bord de l'eau et je me sentais pas présentable. alors j'ai pris la ringbahn dans l'autre sens et j'ai fait le tour complet de la ville avec. dans stranger on a train jenny diski fait le tour des états-unis en train dans une tentative de n'être personne, à part une étrangère dans un train. quand elle était petite elle passait ses journées à faire le tour de londres dans la circle line parce qu'elle voulait pas rentrer à la maison.

de retour au treptower park. je me suis forcée à sortir alors que j'étais en train d'écrire de la POÉSIE ça y est je suis sortie du creux de la vague ça revient et ça m'enthousiasme, mais j'ai besoin de l'ordi pour ça, ce qui veut dire rester enfermée dans ma petite chambre sur mon canapé moyennement confortable. mais je suis contente que ce soit revenu. je viens de lire un petit zine que n. m'a passé avant de partir en disant tiens ça devrait t'intéresser. j'y ai appris que berlin  dormait dans le lit d'une ancienne rivière glaciaire et qu'elle avait été construite sur un marais. son nom veut littéralement dire "l'endroit dans le marais" (berl veut dire marais dans une langue slave). est-ce que c'était une bonne idée d'aller vivre sur un marais alors que j'essayais d'échapper à mon marais figuré? est-ce que j'ai quitté un marais pour un autre?
hier j'ai fait du shopping. c'était bien. le shopping est une valeur refuge. j'ai fait que trois ou quatre magasins et j'ai acheté deux robes. la première à quatre euros, dans une des seules friperies encore abordable de la ville et la deuxième à quinze euros dans une friperie au kilo. je la trouvais trop chère parce qu'elle est un peu usée et on dirait qu'elle a été cousue et recousue à la main à l'arrache, les ourlets à l'intérieur sont tout effilochés. je l'ai essayée deux fois en me prenant en photo sous toutes les coutures dans le miroir légèrement amincissant de la cabine, bien joué le magasin parce que j'étais trop belle sur les photos et ça m'a incitée à la prendre. elle a une coupe de robe tennis courte sans manches avec une encolure en v et surtout elle est en velours orange. je l'ai lavée à la main dans une bassine en rentrant. je déteste laver à la main mais c'était agréable de faire un truc aussi domestique, chez moi. j'avais l'impression de m'approprier l'appartement en faisant ça. plus qu'en faisant une machine par exemple. peut être que c'est une histoire de geste ancestral. la deuxième est une robe longue noire à pois blancs et je m'adore dedans. je crois que la dernière fois que j'ai acheté une robe c'était en 2016, à berlin aussi, quand j'avais les cheveux très courts et que j'étais en crise de genre. j'arrivais pas à concilier mes cheveux courts avec des habits féminins ni avec mes formes féminines, j'aimais pas le mélange des deux, et en même temps j'essayais quand même de me féminiser parce que j'assumais pas de ressembler à une lesbienne. alors que c'était précisément ce que je voulais. évidemment c'était voué au désastre.

In honour of Doctor Who's 60th birthday, here are 60* things that I like about less popular** Doctor Who stories.
(*in multiple posts because I'm falling foul of the character limit)
(**IMDB rating of less than 7/10)
1. Susan is great in The Sensorites. She's at her absolute best in stories like this where she gets to be genuinely a bit alien and a bit weird.
2. "So," said someone at the BBC, "we're going to produce an allegory for different political systems, using insects. Choreographed by a mime artist. On a budget of about £2.50." The Web Planet might not entirely have succeeded, but my god, you have to love that they tried.
3. They introduced Jamie, the best companion, in The Highlanders! How is does this have less than a 7/10 rating, what is wrong with you people. It's Jamie.

4. I applaud the utter bonkersness of The Underwater Menace, and Patrick Troughton really gives it socks.
5. The Wheel in Space is proper 60s sci-fi: Servo-Robots, x-ray lasers, radio beams! I can practically smell Penguin mass-market paperbacks thinking about it. And with the introduction of Zoe, it completes my all-time favourite TARDIS team.
6. The Dominators contains the Quarks, who are adorable. They weren't supposed to be, but it doesn't matter.
7. Zoe is still relatively new to the TARDIS, but she has heaps to do in The Krotons. Nice having a female companion who's written as smart and capable.
8. We have entered the 70s, so with Colony in Space, we get Social Issues. Especially an Evil Mining Corporation, which are always fun.
9. More Social Issues in The Mutants, but this time they're paired with big sci-fi ideas. Ancient tablets! Strange life cycles! Love how much is going on here.
10. The Time Monster is like the Eurovision of Doctor Who. Deeply silly, but what would Doctor Who be without silliness? I'm sorry about Jo's coccyx too.
11. I love that they returned to Peladon in The Monster of Peladon, especially with the 50-year time jump. I'd like to see that kind of follow-up more often.
12. Is it not cool to love K9 any more? Well, I like my Doctor Who with a dose of silliness, and The Invisible Enemy delivered that. Every time traveller needs a robot dog.
13. The design of the Seers in Underworld is excellent, I love a brass dome.

14. Doctor Who doesn't have enough giant squidmonsters looming on the horizons. I'm glad the The Power of Kroll does something to address the deficit.
15. The Creature from the Pit gave us the line "a teaspoon and an open mind", and I appreciate it for that at least.
16. Romana wears one of her best of many splendid outfits in The Horns of Nimon.
17. I liked all the arch dialogue between the Doctor, Enlightenment and Persuasion in Four to Doomsday.
18. Heathrow airport is an underrated setting. I also appreciate how Time-Flight prominently features Concorde, making it far more 80s than they could ever have planned.
19. I don't intend this to be damning with faint praise (even though it probably sounds like it) but my favourite thing about Arc of Infinity is that we get a little jaunt through 80s Amsterdam. I do love a tram.
20. Babyfaced Martin Clunes doing his spoiled princeling thing in Snakedance is enjoyably disconcerting.
21. Terminus is tense and scary and bleak. Another one that I'd expected to be more highly rated.
22. Warriors of the Deep gives us a very solid base under siege. Silurians + Cold War is a winning combination.
23. Landing in a modern village doing a historical re-enactment in The Awakening is a witty touch.

24. I can’t say I enjoyed the idea of the Doctor’s violent moods in The Twin Dilemma, but I have to commend it as a punchy way to introduce the new regeneration.
25. The Mark of the Rani should surely get some love just for introducing the Rani: camp, delightful, iconic.
26. Herbert turning out to be HG Wells in Timelash is a lovely twist and handled well.
27. The Trial of a Time Lord is so grand and ambitious. If the show hadn't been struggling in general at this point, it would be among the all-time greats.
28. With its colour-coded gangs and faux-urban slang, Paradise Towers is gloriously of its time in a way that currently feels quite naff, but that I suspect will be fascinating to revisit in about 30 years.  
29. Delta and the Bannermen is action-packed and has one of the best titles in 80s Who.
30. Possibly the most terrifying moment in all of Doctor Who is Kane's face melting in Dragonfire. This series is nothing if it doesn't send children running for safety behind the sofa.
31. Got to love it when Who gets aggressively anti-Thatcher, and they never did it more than in The Happiness Patrol.
