One reason to vote i haven't personally seen mentioned (at least not phrased this way) is that even IF both candidates had the same exact genocide-enabling policies regarding israel, and only differed on domestic policy, one would still present a better fighting chance for palestine because like. A population with better healthcare, less poverty risk, stronger unions, higher wages and better protection for protesters will be more capable of protest.

A person who has to work multiple jobs to stay afloat is less likely to care and to protest about palestine than one who has to work less. A person who has to be a full time caretaker for an elderly or disabled family member with no financial support is less likely to educate themselves, to care and to protest than one who has the support they need. A person who already cares about and protests their country's insufficient climate policies will be more likely to take the time to protest Israel's genocide if there's fewer pieces of bad climate legislation to occupy their attention.

On the whole, a population that's healthier, more secure and less oppressed by its government doesn't inherently, entirely become complacent and self satisfied - many people in it will have the time, energy and safety to pay attention to the injustices elsewhere in the world and try their best to do something about them

I think it would really benefit people to internalize that mental illnesses are often chronic and not acute. Some of us will never be able to jump the hurdle of managing illness, much less sustaining a sense of normalcy. Many of us will never "recover," will never manage symptoms, will never even come close to appearing normal - and this is for any condition, even the ones labeled as "simple" disorders or "easy-to-manage" disorders.

It isn't a failure if you cannot manage your symptoms. It isn't a moral failure, and you aren't an awful person. You are human. There's only so much you can do before recognizing that you cannot lift the world. Give yourself the space to be ill because, functionally, you are.

As far as the world is concerned, Lu Ten II doesn't exist and the Royal Bloodline ends with Princess Azula. The little kid that follows Prince Zuko everywhere? That's Ten Ten, an orphaned stowaway his Crew found and adopted for some weird reason no-one ever questions—the kid is just that lovable.

(It helps, honestly, that Lu Ten II is a carbon-copy of poor, forgotten Ursa. No one would ever think to connect him with Fire Lord Ozai, long may he reign.)

Little Ten Ten loves to run off when the Crew is on shore leave. He gets into trouble sometimes, but only because of his chronic inability to look away from people who need help (it makes Zuzu both so proud and so shouty-because-he's-worried. It's fun until it isn't).

By now the Crew knows not to panic when the kid goes missing for a couple of hours in a harbor town—which is why no one noticed Ten Ten's disappearance until it was too late.

"Could someone please explain to me," what starts as a mutter becomes a shout as anxiety takes over Sokka, "why on earth did we go into town to buy necessary, highly specific supplies, and returned—not only with a stolen waterbending scroll—stolen! From pirates, Katara!—but with a Fire Nation-looking KID?!"

While Ten Ten is having the time of his life goofing with Aang, out-sassing why-is-this-happening-to-me Sokka, and melting Katara's heart—Zuko is losing his mind, sanity, and temper because how on Agni's name do you lose a Prince of your nation?

The Arcane fandom, especially on TikTok is never beating the allegations because why, now, some fans act like it's too inconceivable to imagine that Ambessa was, not only, pregnant twice but gave birth twice as well? And their reasoning for this is "She looks like the type to get a man pregnant instead" or "She's too tough for that, I just can't see someone like her going through that." There are layers to these statements because, for one, just because someone, especially a woman, is a dominant force doesn't mean that they can't get/don't want to become pregnant (do you believe overtly dominant men can't be fathers?) It's also very weird because the undertones of misogyny and misogynoir and the overt masculinization of black women are there because, not only are they viewing pregnancy and giving birth, in general, to be viewed as something "weak" (even though it's grueling hours of labor that results in tearing the body apart, sometimes even death) but also attempts to strip Ambessa of her nuance. Yes, she is strong and very dominant, but she also deeply loved her children, who she birthed, and when one was taken away from her it changed her deeply. It's very gross to view a character like her in this way because it also reflects how you view dominant women in real life, pregnancy, and childbirth as a whole. Like how are you going to praise Arcane for having such a wide and diverse ensemble of female characters, but then have misogynistic takes like this? Make it make sense.

A rant about US-centrism

Why do so many Americans on Tiktok think that the huge protests here in Germany are for them?? Like I fully get that the situation with Trump rn is horrifying and everyone who knows history is and should be rightfully worried. And I try to spread information about ICE raids and stuff like that because I care about people everywhere in the world.

But seeing Americans on tiktok saying "thank you for protesting FOR US" is absolutely crazy, the USA centrism is insane!!! (Especially because I don't really see many Americans share much info and resources about other countries)

Correct me if I'm wrong but there aren't even big protests against Trump and his facist regime anywhere in the US for some reason, why should we do the work for you when we've got our own elections coming up in less than a months and the genuine neo Nazi party is projected to be at least the second biggest party. We are on the streets with hundreds of thousands of people because we are demonstrating against the rise of facism in our own country!! We are trying to maybe get less people to elect actual Nazis and onenof your very own clowns aka Elon Musk is backing the AfD.

This post may seem a little harsh but the US centrism is pissing me off so bad atm because you are not the only one in a bad situation, not everything evolves around 1 singular country. Our elections are coming up and we might somehow still be able to change the outcome slightly, so we aren't going towards full on facism.

We definitely have different priorities rn than to protest for/on behalf of a different country, that isn't even actively protesting out on the streets themselves!!!

what circumstances would allow bill to pick up his world-domination plans again, it couldn't be when dipper and him fight cuz that would make his mortal angrier, so when dipper has been in a great mood for a few decades? but also older and more or less unable to stop bill if he reallyyyy wanted too. or has bill given up entirely and convinced himself he's just 'waiting for when dipper stops reincarnating or smth' but he's never gonna stop so bill's never gonna conquer his universe?

what if dipper reincarnates into an already conquered universe? everything is to ruin and his family, The Pines, seem to be the only one's left standing in the revolution, actually only ones standing periodt. now that i think abt it the only time bill could get away with taking over the universe with no one to stop him is dipper's reincarnation period and prob the same events as Gravity falls with gideon n stuff

Conquering the world is grounds for their marriage contract being cancelled. Bill's not gonna give that a try anytime soon, unless he's somehow in the mood for an enraged husband with a solid case for Divorce. He's probably relegated the whole business to a shrugging 'eh, I'll get to it eventually'. Nevermind that 'eventually' might never arrive!

That's not to say other worlds are quite as well off, since they're still fair game for Bill Shenanigans! But at least Bill's too busy and easily bored/distracted to really knuckle down like he was planning to on Earth.

It's just such a thing in my mind because it adds a truthful sadness and differing aspect to mouthwashing.

If Curly was trans it adds the horror of the horribly selfish thought he could have easily been in Anya's situation. It could've been him but it wasn't and he so conflicted on the pit it put in his stomach that brings and the shameful relief it wasn't. In this scenario he is friends with Jimmy for a long time still. Jimmy likely knew him pretransition. Maybe he gave Curly weird looks then, maybe they never stopped after, maybe they seemed meaner. They are guys now, bros, both of them are. He doesn't really have to worry what those looks mean anymore, Jimmy just has that face with him sometimes. It's recontextualizing a lot of things for him that he was in denial about or too ashamed to admit. How naive he was being and how he let that get another person hurt.

Specifically with Anya, it's he knows the dread and fear she's feeling. He can understand it because he had to live with it for a good portion of his life, he knows it cause he still does, just in a slightly different way. It makes him think of all the times he's been alone with Jimmy, all the times he's been way more drunk off his ass and not remember the night, Jimmy was always with him the next day. Makes him think of the comments he would laugh off both because that's what guys do but because that part of being a girl says to laugh so Jimmy doesn't do something. It's the selfish realization that he was never safe and he's uncertain now too. Mad at himself for forgeting that feeling, espcially since for a long time he would've been considered the only woman on a crew (with all that implies) for a long time.

He should've taken those blinders off, step back into that position for just a moment and it's so much more painful that Anya likely came to him because he should've gotten it. Those thoughts don't leave his mind after the crash when he's in an even more vulnerable position than she was...

Also! Your art style is gorgeous and that being found in 2023 and then refined throughout late 2023 and the entirety of 2024 really shows, as does your growth in panel layouts, perspective, and — as you said — experimentation. If you ever post your animation or video game art I’m looking forward to it.

As cheesy as it sounds, being able to laugh at funny comics and look at all the details of your art really made my 2024 brighter, even when things were hard. Including looking at your older art— it doesn’t need to be new to be enjoyable! I’m glad your art is well loved and it’s a privilege to have been here since the (near) beginning. I hope you take care of yourself in 2025 and beyond!

Thank you so much for keeping up with my art journey throughout these last two years! Two years!!! I am baffled at how that feels both too long and too short!

Admittedly, my art summary didn't manage to capture the fact that I did a lot of comic layouts that I'm really proud of. I also drew more backgrounds and made some very detailed works (*Dungeon Meshi spoilers for these examples*).

The growth is lot more evident when comparing my 'best' comics of 2023 to 2024:

Sometimes the growth is vertical, sometimes it is horizontal - and damn, sometimes it goes out of sight into the Z-plane. But it is always happening!

If you stutter or have a lisp or misspeak easily or you have a flat affect or a limited verbal vocabulary or if your voice is AAC or if you just have a difference in your vocality, you are so incredibly important and amazing.

Just know that your voice is yours. Nobody will ever be able to truly take it away. Your voice is part of you, and you deserve to make it as true to you as you deem fit. I hope you have the space to grow with your voice and whatever about it makes it unique.
