I love this scene because it can imply the following:

a) Bones got dressed and came to Kirk’s room just to complain.

b) Bones took his dress uniform & makeup and went to Kirk’s quarters to get dressed with Kirk together (pregame).

c) Bones was there from the beginning, and his dress uniform happened to be in Kirk’s closet (go figure out why ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) )

PS. Also, notice the amount of stuff on Kirk’s drawer. Another evidence to a theory that for men wearing makeup in fact is a normal thing in TOS universe and it’s not just a tv makeup.

And oh damn, there he is again, so close and with his lips parted, and breath coming out in little pants and he’s trying so damned hard not to lay there and stroke himself face to face with Leonard, Leonard can tell, just from the little determined way that Jim’s brow is furrowed and his teeth are pinching down on to the pout of his lower lip. “What it has to do with Spock,” Jim finally finishes, eyelashes fluttering, hand still moving in little bitty motions.

This is a fem slash TOS McKirk I wrote in September 2024 and it is kinda of a chaotic story that surrounds Kirk getting drunk and McCoy having to care for her later while also confronting her feelings for Kirk. Plenty of other characters are in it since the plot is centered around a birthday party but the focus is on Kirk and McCoy. (Spoiler: Scotty is the birthday boy and also a wingman for Kirk and McCoy)

I was also hungover when I wrote this fic and it was my first time really writing a real plot instead of just smut. Also, there is no sex in this fic but it does have some suggestive themes. This is also my longest fanfic.
