Great News From My GI Appointment

Today I Had my GI Appointment Follow-Up and great news!!! My IBS Has really started to improve & I haven't had multiple instances of stomach pain, more movement when I go to the bathroom, and my GERD for the most part does not disrupt me when I use my FD Guard. I do get fuller faster, but due to having top surgery I psychologically feel better and a lot of emotional & mental wellbeing has an impact on your gut.

My GI Doctor was super happy for me & I am also grateful that I officially have a 5-month follow-up, instead of every three months!! I am super grateful and I now know whenever I do get nervous, and especially next month; I need to log when my GI Issues will show up so that way we can see how everything goes and if there need to be any adjustments or changes to my treatment. Other than that, I need to go back this winter!!!

Three weeks out from my top surgery! I was able to remove the strips, and on the 24th I no longer have to wear the binder. It's amazing! I am so happy with the turn out! My mental state has improved so much.

Hello Tumblr, my name is Nikolas Taylor & I am a country singer/songwriter, actor, model, and musician. I am on Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, and I have Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, and Tourette's. I will be moving into Southern Illinois University Carbondale next month for my studies. My major is in Hospitality and Tourism Event Management/Administration; with a Minor in Music Business. I plan on continuing my studies forward with a Master's in Entertainment.

I wanted to put up a blog on Tumblr, since I am very nervous about the new environment & whether I'll be the only student in a college town with Autism, ADHD, or Tourette's. I wanted to create this space on Tumblr to connect with people who are Neurodivergent and maybe in the same predicament as I am, or have been in the same place that I might be in currently. I am looking forward to finally leaving Chicago, and out of my "close" yet dysfunctional household dynamic and into my own dorm! Being in a smaller setting away from the City not only relieves the overload of multiple cars, shootings, unwarranted fireworks, and the constant toxicity between my parents and my brother, and me.

I hope this goes a long way and I will be posting constanty on here. I wanted to make this overview, and after this post, I will formally introduce myself to each of you who decide to connect with my posts, and my story while in College and in life.

This photo is is a little late but it's been 1 month since my top surgery and all I can say is I am so grateful. I can't believe how happy I am. It took 10 years to finally complete this journey and I am so excited to see how great things get from here. I am all healed up just on weight restrictions and I can't lift my hands over my head till October but that's a small price to pay to finally feel free in my own body. Loving myself has been a challenge but I have fought. And for anyone who is wondering why I no longer have nips lol I decided not to get the done because I don't think they are attractive, always looking like some burnt up pepperoni, not interested thank you anyway. #heainthavenonipples But yeah life's been good and it keeps looking better. I am 4 months away from getting my B.A. in Behavioral Sciences and will be on my way to help the veterans down at the VA by the end of the year. Life is finally lining up the way I have been manifesting for awhile now. I want to say a special thanks to my wonderful support system through this journey, my Mom, my wife and my best friend. Alright y’all, 2 months post-op tomorrow, thanks to @drberli at @ohsuplastics! I’ve been using La Mer The Concentrate for about a week and half and scar away silicone strips for almost a month, probably every other day. Thanks @leah.twinkle for being a solid and patient photog in my journey. 😘🌈 Have used weights a little to work on my chest and just start getting full range of motion without over thinking each little twinge of nerve feelings.
