I had a vivid dream that paul also made a flop family-friendly sitcom in the 90’s. it starred him as himself again, and the plot was that he ate a cursed gumball that de-ages him back into a 12 year old, but only sometimes and at completely random intervals, so he has to balance going to school all over again with also being an aging rock star. everyone thinks the young version of him is paul’s secret son that he’s trying to hide the existence of, including ringo who takes pity on this abandoned child and tries to help raise him properly. hijinks ensue in paul’s attempts to prevent people from finding out what’s actually going on

#it was….very paul.#in the dream I was watching this on tv at my neighbor’s apartment #and I was thinking ‘oh my god do people know about this???’ the whole time #paul mccartney #///#oh yah I remember now #the magic gumball machine seemed to be a really heavy-handed metaphor for reincarnation #it involved putting an old piece of candy at the top of the machine and it would turn it into a brand new gumball #hence its effects.#//#okay now I’m adding things that weren’t in the dream:#to avoid issues with girls having a crush on him he pretends to have a girlfriend #who he just happens to never see because her parents sent her to boarding school #her name is Joan and it becomes clear very quickly what this subplot is actually about

okay, finally read the latest issue for miles. starting with these thoughts he has (ignore the typo in the first pic)

I’m just gonna be honest, it’s annoying to read for some reason even if it has what i want (Miles struggling with new side of himself). It sounds OOC, & you’d think “well yeah he’s a vampire now of course his thought process sounds different” but to me this sounds less “miles struggling with vampirism affecting his mind/actions” and more “generic laconic internal thoughts” I guess i was just expecting a little more energy and nervousness to his thoughts? I guess it could make sense, he’s tired from so much bullshit, but whatever, moving on!

this was a nice moment, and by nice i mean “what i wanted”, because here Miles just scared a woman who was going to get mugged by beating the shit out of the people mugging her. He recognized that he hit them too hard, and is kinda trying to keep the mood light (not working), and after he leaves, she comments on how she isn’t sure about the “friendly” part of the “friendly neighborhood spider-man” name. A cop earlier also looked unsure around him after he beat up this random demigod.

i just think he’s wrong here and sees Tiana as “the only person” bc of them liking each other, because let’s be serious. but him checking the new fangs is adorable to me. and speaking of adorable bugs

these two moments! very very cute. both in his emergency therapy appointment where we learn that his bioelectricity is helping keep the vampirism in check, but might also make it worse. And i didn’t share the pic, but Miles does that move again where the red and lenses start glowing gold when he uses his venom.

Anyway, can’t wait to see other reactions to him being like this. I really want to know how his dad and Shift feel

I'm still upset and my wrists still hurt but stove popped popcorn is stove top popcorn.

#stove top popcorn is one of the few purely positive memories and traditions I have left from my childhood #every friday and many saturday evenings we'd sit down and all watch a movie together #and my f*ther would make two pots of this halfway through- enough for 5 people to have a solid amount each #I'm still loyal to the specific brand of seasoning salt we'd put on it #I wish. this specific crank popper wasn't so horribly designed as to be nearly unusable #which is why it was loaded off onto me 🙃 not because it would be meaningful but because my m*ther wanted to get rid of it.
