.゚۪ ♡ ۫ VENUS VICTRIX ... THE THRID FULL ALBUM !
Venus Victrix is the third full album of the fictional South Korean girl group VENUS. The album was released by Flowerbank Entertainment on December 18th, 2023. Before the release of the highly anticipated album, the girls released two pre-release singles, "DRAMA" and "I AM THE BEST," both getting two weeks of promotions and being met with widespread praise. With a total of twelve songs, VENUS would promote "THE BOYS", "UNTIE", and "BYOB (bring your own bestie)" for three months.
Venus Victrix has a total of 12 tracks, with all the girls having writing credits on every song. The tracklist is nearly entirely produced by other people as Venus decided to take a step back from producing for the time being, with the exception of "Making The Bed," which is written, composed, and produced by Chloe.
Long-time creative director Adrian Reyes produced a majority of the album alongside Ideal Music producer CLOSURE AKA Zion of Arm Candy, THATZTY AKA Tyler of Sunlite, Piper of SNS, Yuki of SNS, LULU formerly of ALLUME, SOOORA AKA Sora formerly of ALLUME, TSUISON AKA Noah of DeepDive, DOWN2LEE AKA Finn of DeepDive, and most notably Lee Chang.
The girls were given the honor of picking a song from the Flowerbank Vault, choosing "I Love You" out of the 50 songs within the Flowerbank Vault. All money earned from the song will go to his mother.

Venus Victrix, received an impressive number of pre-orders, indicating its widespread appeal. Within just six days of the pre-order period starting, the album had received over 800,000 pre-orders, and by December 12th, the number of pre-orders had reached one million. Out of these one million pre-orders, 670,000 came from Korea, while 340,000 were from the US and Europe. Moreover, a limited edition vinyl of only 18,888 copies had sold out within days, further highlighting the album's popularity. As per the latest reports, the album had accumulated 1.2 million physical sales worldwide by January 12th.
The album debuted at the top spot of the Gaon Album Chart and broke the record for first-week sales on Hanteo among girl groups. It sold an impressive 590,000 copies in just one day after its physical release date. Gaon Chart would go on to announce that Venus' album received an official million certification after selling over a million copies in South Korea on January 22nd.
Undoubtedly, their highest performing album yet, VENUS, would be virtually unavoidable for the three months they were promoting, whether it be their songs being played on the radio or their faces on billboards; Venus was everywhere. Citizens would dub this era "The Venus Virus" as it seemed everyone and their mothers were listening or talking about the group during this time.
Venus was gaining popularity not only in South Korea but also worldwide. Venus Victrix made its debut at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, with a total of 110,000 album-equivalent units. This includes 81,000 pure album sales, 26,000 stream-equivalent sales, and 2,000 track-equivalent sales.
Pitchfork would go on to rank the album 8.1 out of 10, making it the second highest-rated album on the site. "Venus not only pushes the boundaries of K-pop with their stellar vocal performances but also elevates the genre with 'Venus Victrix.' The album's catchy hooks and dance-worthy tracks are complemented by lyrics that delve into deeper themes, making it a standout release in the world of pop music."
Multiple Youtubers would go on to review/react to Venus Victrix. Music reviewer Anthony Fantano would be the first to review the album, giving it a 7.8 overall.
"While 'Venus Victrix' has its merits, I can't help but feel there's a missed opportunity here. The vocals and lyricism are commendable, but the overall sound lacks a certain adventurous quality. It's a solid 7.8, but I expected a bit more risk-taking from Venus."
Twitter's favorite reactionary Zach Campbell would go onto react to "The Boys" music video, heavily praising the girls and the song for it's energy and visuals. Unlike Fantano, Campbell would go on to become a darling amongst Constellations.
"This music video is like a visual feast. [...] Venus is playing in a league of their own!"
Most notably, AJay Delux would post her video "Venus Victrix - First Listen." just two weeks after the album dropped. Her review of the album was very positive, praising the girls for their vocal talent and versatility. Sena and Jiah would go on to post the video on their stories, thanking her for her review and mentioning how much they love her videos. AJay would go on to rate the album a 8 out of 10.
"Alright, that was a wild ride through Venus's 'Venus Victrix.' The vocals and lyricism held it together, and the diversity in sounds across the tracks kept it interesting. I'm giving this a solid 8 out of 10. Venus delivered the fun pop with meaningful lyrics they promised."
OO1. LOTS of interactions with other idols, especially for TikTok! Venus tends to stay in their bubble most of the time, but this time around, they really put themselves out there! Even bliss was socializing more, which is something constellations haven't seen since FOREVER. They mainly did the "BYOB" challenge with other idols, but for a few (mainly girl idols, lol!), they did the "UNTIE" challenge, which constellations ate up!
OO2. The long promotional schedule seemed to confuse a lot of fans with how fast-paced the industry seems to be nowadays. "I felt like we missed out on an opportunity with Burn The Witch by only promoting it for such a short period of time," Creative director Adrian Reyes would go on to explain at a press conference, "Things move too fast, and I want to change that. Venus is supposed to not be like other groups, which is why we went with what I feel is a proper promotional schedule. If it was full up to me, I'd promote this album all year." And while a majority of the internet knew what he was getting at, disgruntled K-pop stans on Twitter took this as an opportunity to frame Venus as "Pick Me's" and "Not Like Other Girls," which caused a multitude of fan wars on the site. None of the girls use the app, so they didn't see or care.
OO3. For the three-month promotional period, they will promote a different song and b-side for that month. For Dec-Jan, they promoted "The Boys"; for Jan-Feb, they promoted "BYOB" and concluded promotions with "Untie" in March. This gave fans an insane amount of content to be and look forward to, making sure none of their fans were bored. Even then, they still caused problems on every social media site they could.
OO4. Through their reality-styled web series, "VenusVentures," they would give their fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of Venus Victrix. However, the chaos backstage would turn out to be more entertaining than anyone expected. From funny bloopers during dance rehearsals to unexpected moments during the photoshoots, the web series was a hit, with many of the clips taken from the show going viral.
One of the more notable clips to go viral was a clip of Baebi and Chloe arguing over what they're going to have for dinner after they finished filming.
"I want a fruit bowl," Baebi would snap at Chloe over her shoulder, who would huff and flip her hair over her shoulder, looking annoyed as usual.
"I want Thai food. You always want nasty fru-"
"And action!" The director would shout, cutting the girls' fight off. Both of the girl's expressions would change in a split second, their annoyed ones being wiped away and replaced with fierce and confident ones, and the intro to The Boys would play. The clip, while not only hilarious, showed off the girl's professionalism and dedication to their craft.
OO5. Though there were A LOT of fan events organized by Flowerbank, one of the most notable ones would have to be the art gallery they put on. Venus invited Constellations to submit their fan art to Flowerbank to be displayed in a "Venus Gallery" as well as hold an art competition where the winners would receive not only VIP tickets to their upcoming tour but also to have their art incorporated into Venus' official merch, and also $10,000. The members of Venus personally selected the three winners. The event became one of the most special and heart-warming events between constellations and Venus, causing much buzz and conversations around all corners of the internet.
OO6. Though the girls are known for their versatile concepts, the music video for "Through Your Window" surprised many fans with its controversial yandere concept, which was a bit surprising due to the song's light and almost mystical sound. The visuals, though beautiful, depict the girls stalking their love interests and presumed murdering him after they see him talking to another girl. "We could've gotten Venus as fairies, but instead, we got them killing men," one fan would tweet, though another fan would quote the tweet in defense of the video, saying: "I would actually like to see Venus kill more men idk why yall are complaining," causing an internal fan war. Though the video's concept was questioned, the girls acting and visuals were highly praised, and a selfie of Bliss with blood splattered on her face soon joined the "the most annoying mfs have this picture as their icon" list.
OO7. Of course, it's not a Venus comeback without some drama. Chloe's iCloud would be hacked, leaking multiple pictures of her with a lesser-known actor, Jeon Juyeon. What really caused controversy around this was not the fact the pair might be dating but that Juyeon was Chloe's long-running fansite "CozyChloe," having over 50k followers on his fansite Instagram account. This blew up the internet essentially, causing just a shitstorm for literally everyone. The rumors only got worse when Juyeon went on to deactivate CozyChloe and private his personal account. Chloe would catch a lot of heat for this, a lot of people saying she's abusing her power as an idol and taking advantage of her fans. Though their relationship was never confirmed, Chloe would go live on the official Venus account, issuing an apology in front of the infamous "apology wall" at Flowerbank Entertainment.
OO8. More importantly, they'd collaborate with Tate McRae! Venus would release an English version of Untie with Tate on it, even performing the version with the pop star a few times. Most notably, they'd perform with Tate on the show with her acting as a six-member, causing a lot of jokes and memes between the two fandoms. While Tate was in Korea, Venus would make her an honorary sixth member, letting her stay in the dorm and taking her to their favorite restaurant. While the collaboration was a bit sudden and off guard, many people found the girl's bond cute and wholesome. The vlogs, including Tate, would go on to reach a collective 12 million views.
OO9. The outfits for Untie would come under fire by religious organizations, saying the outfits were too promiscuous and revealing for television. At first, the girls would ignore the accusations, but once the internet caught hold of them, it blew up and was impossible for them to ignore. "While I don't agree with them, I do understand why old people would think a strappy tank top is promiscuous," Sena would go on to say when asked about the controversy, "I think it's important as artists that we're allowed to express ourselves even if that means showing our shoulders. So, I guess don't watch it if you don't like it. It seems kind of easy. We're adults. I thought we knew that." And she'd give a cute smile and a fingerheart, causing the audience to laugh.
O10. Towards the end of their promotions, VENUS would announce their third world tour! In April, the girls will travel to 22 countries, performing 66 shows all around the world. This will be their most extensive tour yet. The tour was announced via a promotional video posted to their YouTube channel. The video was set in a cyberpunk setting, with the girls dressed in sleek and futuristic outfits while walking through a city, being the only ones in black while the citizens are dressed in white. "Do you feel different?" The girls would ask in various languages, such as Korean, English, Thai, Mandarin, Japanese, and Vietnamese. The video ends with all five of Venus in front of a massive screen that is surrounded by little screens. The screens glitch for a moment before flashing white, the phrase "(IM)DIFFERENT." appearing on all of them, revealing to be the name of the tour. It's a short video but effective. In the description was a link to VENUS' official website, where tickets will be sold.

Wajahat Ali:
Dear readers, I am not a doctor. I’m just a simple writer. I share this because I don’t know if there are indeed “racist bones” in the human body. I also don’t know what’s in “people’s hearts.” Thankfully, I’m married to a doctor who has assured me such a bone doesn’t exist. My brother-in-law, a cardiologist, has also assured me there’s no specific valve or aorta that is devoted to racism.
All we have to go by is people’s repeated actions and behavior that the world can observe with its own eyes and hear with its own ears. To quote the late Maya Angelou, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” Well, Donald Trump has shown his racist ass his entire life. This is the feature, not the bug. I’ve been covering him for nearly a decade ever since he descended the fake golden escalators to announce his presidency. During that press conference, he referred to Mexicans as “rapists” and “criminals.” That was the amuse-bouche of an endless buffet of xenophobia, anti-Black racism, Islamophobia, anti-Asian bigotry, anti-semitism, and misogyny that has defined his political career. I’m going to do a test, purely for myself, to see if I can list off at least 10 obscenely racist things Trump has said or done during the past 9 years off the top of my dome - no research and no googling. Here it goes:
Trump refused to condemn white supremacy at the 2020 Presidential debate and instead told the Proud Boys to “Stand back, and stand by!” (They did when they were involved in the failed Jan 6 violent insurrection.)
Trump praised the white supremacists in Charlottesville who chanted Nazi slogans as “very fine people,” to the point where they saw him as an ally.
Trump lamented that Black and brown people came to America from “shithole countries” instead of from Norway, which is a great country that has so many white people that it made my teeth whiter during my visit.
Trump promoted the racist and Islamophobic “Birther conspiracy” against Barack Obama that forced him to show his birth certificate
Trump continues to refer to undocumented immigrants as “invaders,” the same language used by domestic terrorists who have attacked Jews, Black people and Latinos.
Trump referred to COVID as the “China Virus” and “Kung Flu,” which coincided with the rise in hate crimes against Asian Americans
Trump told The Squad to go back to their country, even though all those Congresswomen of color are American citizens.
Trump refers to Kamala Harris as a “DEI hire” even though she is infinitely more qualified than him, and furthermore he alleges she “turned Black” for sake of political opportunity. (Well, he turned Republican, but I digress.)
Trump uses “Palestinian” as a pejorative to mock Senator Schumer and President Biden. (He did it again last night at his rally.)
Trump quotes Hitler! He uses his language of “vermin” and “poisoning the blood” to attack immigrants, and he praised him according to his former DHS Secretary General Kelly.
***Bonus*** Trump took out ads asking for the death penalty for the Central Park Five, who have since been exonerated. He has refused to acknowledge their innocence.
Trust me, there’s more! I passed my own challenge of listing the first ten examples off the top of my head, which is in itself quite disturbing.
[...] He does not have flare ups” or “trip ups” or “racially charged moments.” No. Trump is a racist. He has always been a racist. He acts and behaves like a racist. He can’t help but be a racist. He has not changed or evolved or mellowed or moderated or become more serene after his assassination attempt. If you doubt me, just look at his 35 minute interview with Black journalists at the annual NABJ conference. He is supported by racists who love him for his racism. He will triple-down on racism because he’s a 1 trick pony and because he is melting down at the thought of a Black Indian woman defeating him in 2024.
THE LEFT HOOK with Wajahat Ali is right on: It’s time for the mainstream media to consistently and explicitly use the word “racist” to describe Donald Trump’s racist behavior. “Racially charged” does NOT cut it.

Jurassic world ObiAniDala Au with
Padmè as the Park handler (CEO?). She handles the business end of things, she's the reason the park still runs. You can find Ms.Amidala ruthlessly shutting down assholes who knock at her door wanting to exploit the park for more money by cutting corners. She's amazing at her job.
At the top of all the paperwork, She's made sure the park is for the people to enjoy safely. She once chewed out a whole team of architects who wanted more va va voom enclosures that were pretty but would've ultimately been useless in containing the very huge T.Rex.
Followed by; Dino Scientist/board member ObiWan kenobi. He's got like 6 degrees , he's here to study the dinosaurs' behaviour. You can find Dr.Kenobi with a clipboard in his hand walking after one dino or the other without any care for the world. All the dinos love him, even the predators.
His face is the first thing they see when they hatch cus he's made an effort to show up for every hatching. Instant bonding tbh. Dude hangs out with the t.rex with 0 repercussions (like being eaten ya kno, nobody knows how he does it). Obiwan is also absolutely amazing at securing funding for the park from rich senators. Padmè greatly appreciates his work cus if she has to deal one more time with Clovis she's going to scream.
And finally. Trainer?Park Ranger? Mechanic? Engineer? Anakin Skywalker. Nobody really knows what his official designation is at the park. All they know is that one day this golden retriever looking guy showed up with like. 10 different qualification certificates and a dab hand at handling the dinos.
He's good at what he does tho so people leave him alone. An officer sent by the military once tried to bully anakin and quickly finds out that not only does anakin have a mean right hook, he's also high enough in the park food chain that the coruscant military is barred from trying to propose any deals after the incident.
He's got an entire creche/enrichment setup for the vulnerable babies that no one had thought of. It cut down the mortality rate of the babies by a huge amount. Its also how he won Obi-wan's heart, who until then had totally thought anakin was just some dudebro who didn't understand dinos. Anyway somewhere along the line, very intense eye-contact, a little bit of misunderstanding and a whole lot of kisses stolen when padmè is on an important holoconferance call and hand holding with obi-wan during the hatchings, Anakin woos them both.
They have late night dates at the elasmosaurus enclosure, bond over almost punching Clovis, and oh my god don't you get a heart attack when obi-wan around with little predator babies in a papoose??
Rumours have it that he was seen begging Ms.Amidala for just one (1) chance 🥺on his knees when she was meeting with Dr.Kenobi.
The door closed after that so no one really knows what Anakin was really begging for (it was so he could take an apprentice. Anakin thinks he can get away with it now because he knows obi-wan and padmè love him eheh)
#this is brought to you by my brain at 2.40am#beloveds i am so not sleepy#i have to work gods this is so 💀💀💀#obianidala#obikin and anidala#anakin skywalker#star wars#obi wan kenobi#padme amidala#jurassic park au#who funds the park if padmè and anakin run off all the people with the money?#i dunno#i didnt wanna think about all the evil stuff so i didnt bother with that#ehehehe#you can thank prehistoric world docu series for this as well#ive been watching so many dino docus

So, after 9 years, I finally became a British citizen today. Which feels somehow simultaneously like a huge relief and also a little icky.
The good part comes now tho. They made us go to a "ceremony" to get the Certificate of Naturalisation. Otherwise you get squat, no matter that you filled all the forms, paid all the fees (in the effing thousands for those curious), passed the many, many tests, etc, etc. If you don't swear you'll be Charlie's good little slut you ain't getting in, kid.
So I do, I swear an oath I don't believe in to a monarch that I loathe in front of a group of people I don't know.
And my certificate has in LARGE FUCKING LETTERS, RIGHT IN THE FUCKING CENTRE, precisely where the eyes are naturally drawn to... 'NAME AT BIRTH IF DIFFERENT'...
Why? Why on earth would my birth name need to be there. If it's different from my current name is for a reason. A good fucking reason.
I don't need reminded that my birth name was different and no one else does either.
So now I fucking hate this certificate and I'm going to make it my life's aim to see this section be removed for all future generation of fellow British sluts.
Apart from this -sorry I needed to rant - the ceremony was pretty nice all the way to -almost- the end.
There were people from all over the world, all looking happy and excited that the process, which to many was extremely grueling, was finally over.
And there came the cherry on top with the provost's anecdote apropos of the Nigerian family attending the ceremony. She happily told us about when she went to her Nigerian neighbour's bbq, and she told her hubby to 'just eat quietly and not wonder that is in the food' as she hoped it wouldn't be a trip back to the jungle. Because she is so inclusive, you guys, she will even eat food that isn't beans on toast.
10/10 would recommend.
#British citizenship#rant alert#transphobia#racism#welcome to Britain#Will I become a tory now?#I don't feel different yet#I've been told at least I look white by my boss so I guess I could totally become a tory#I feel like watching the bbc#oh no#it's happening#I feel superior

Meet Ella Waweya, the IDF's top Muslim woman, speaking out to the Arab world - exclusive ‘Captain Ella’ tells the ‘Magazine’ about her work as IDF spokesperson to the Arab world. https://www.jpost.com/israel-hamas-war/article-809892
The walls of the office of Maj. Ella Waweya, 34, at the IDF spokesperson headquarters in northern Tel Aviv, are dotted with diplomas, certificates of merit, and family pictures, as well as beautiful Arabic calligraphy of the Quran, alongside a Druze flag, a cross, a small copy of the Zohar (Jewish mysticism book), and flags of participating Abraham Accords countries.
“I don’t leave anyone behind,” she says, smiling.
Waweya has served in the army for 10 years. She hails from the Arab Israeli town of Kalansuwa, where all the citizens are Muslim Arabs. Her formal title is deputy spokesperson for the Arab world and head of the Arab communications department, working under IDF Arabic spokesperson Col. Avichai Adraee.
“In my area at that time there were no soldiers in the IDF – certainly not female soldiers; though some did enlist in the police,” she says. She enlisted at the relatively late age of 24, after first securing a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in government studies.
What led you to enlist?
It all started with a dilemma I felt regarding my identity. I was 12 during the Second Intifada, and the only channel we used to watch was Al Jazeera. Interestingly, Shireen Abu Akleh had just started her position, and we would see her and her aggressiveness while reporting.
I looked at her and said to myself: ‘I want to be a journalist, but not like her.’ My message would be different, coming not from a blindly Palestinian point of view but as part of my identity dilemma. People always wanted to define me, whether as an ‘Arab of ’48’ or an Israeli Arab. Everyone defined me differently – except for myself.
I had actually wanted to be a doctor, but by then I already wanted to be a journalist. I wanted to show ‘my side,’ even though at that time I didn’t know what it was exactly.
At age 16, I got my ID as is customary in Israel. It was blue. I realized that I am Israeli and thought to myself that if I am Israeli, I must do something about it. The state brought me this identity, and I was looking for ways to associate myself with being Israeli. There was no awareness back then, and the Internet was not very developed, so I couldn’t learn online. I had to wait with these feelings bubbling inside me.
Time passed, but the thoughts did not stop. When I started my bachelor’s degree, I decided to take part in National Service at the Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba. During my time there, I remember playing chess with one of the security guards, a Bedouin, during a sleepy night shift. He suddenly asked me, ‘Why didn’t you go to the army?’ And I said. ‘I wanted to, but they wouldn’t want me because I’m an Arab woman.’ He connected me with Col. Yossi Haddad, who was the head of the Bedouin tracker unit, to whom I give credit for my enlistment.
When I finished my degree in 2012, I took part in a press conference in Eilat. There was a panel regarding recruitment of the haredim [ultra-Orthodox] headed by then-IDF spokesperson Polly Mordechai and esteemed journalist Roni Daniel. One ultra-Orthodox person stood up and started explaining why he and his society shouldn’t enlist in the army.
I was 21 and asked to speak. I told that person: ‘Shame on you! As a Muslim Arab, I wish I could join the army!’ Suddenly everyone started clapping. I didn’t understand why, but at the end of the panel both Mordechai and Daniel turned to me, commending me for what I had said. Mordechai asked his secretary to take my details to help me enlist. From there, everything started to unfold.
Suddenly, phone calls began to come, and I was offered a post at the IDF Spokespersons Unit, at first as a non-officer commander. I was mainly happy to know that I would be a commander. In fact, I had no idea that there were so many functions in the IDF. I thought that there were only combatants and thought I’d enlist in Caracal [an all-female or mixed combat unit in the IDF].
This week, you celebrated 10 years in the IDF. How do you feel about it?
It was the best decision I ever made. Enlisting was a personal decision; I didn’t consult anyone. The environment was not one that encouraged enlisting; I just decided one day to get up and get on that bus.
When someone asks me for advice about enlisting and lying about it to their parents, I stress that my story should not be understood as an encouragement to lie. But I do stress that they must know how to make these personal decisions and do what is right for them.
In 2015, you received a mark of honor from the president.
I was featured in the newspaper with a pixelated picture, reading something like ‘Cadet Ella from Kalansuwa, a trailblazer, serves in the IDF. Only her mother knows and she took it hard, but she is proud to serve...’ etc. This was false because nobody knew it back then. But then my parents saw the article and recognized the blurry photo. The fact that I was the only Ella from Kalansuwa also gave it away. Both my family and I began getting some unpleasant messages from people around us.
But we didn’t look back, we looked toward the future. I used to cry when I talked about it, but today I actually laugh because of all the changes we went through. Look at the difference between that picture and this one (she points at the newspaper clip and then at a photo on the other side of the room showing her mother, wearing a hijab, awarding Waweya her army ranks).
If you ask me to describe my mother with one word, I would say she’s a hero. She also went through a lot and suffered due to my decision to join the IDF. Today, my mother is ill with cancer, and when I get to the hospital, the doctors are always waiting to meet me because she tells them about me, and it makes me understand how proud she is of me. During the war, she told me to come to her chemotherapy appointment wearing my uniform.
The same goes for my siblings, who are very proud of me and trust me, even with the smallest things. They think the fact that I’m a soldier means that I’m an expert in everything security related, so they ask me for tips about getting through the airport, for instance. They also ask me to lift heavy things when they need help, also because I’m a soldier. This means that the army has a good name, that people believe it is powerful.
In this time of war, what does your job entail?
I manage communications through the Middle East and Arabic department. I’m responsible for everything that happens in digital media and for interviews with the Arab media. We work a lot with Arab media outlets, and we strive to present the truth about Israel and the IDF. Our job is to speak for the IDF. If we don’t talk about what happened on Oct. 7, for instance, the Arab world will just not know anything about it. Arab media has a lot of influence on Arab public opinion, and they often see only one side. We work to present a different side and try to influence what happens at home. This is true even for my mother. When she watches Al-Hadath or al-Arabiya [Saudi channels], she also wants to see a person in uniform telling her our narrative. This makes the image more balanced.
How do you find working with the Arab media?
There are channels that serve as outright mouthpieces of Hamas, spewing the same lies of Hamas. Take Al Jazeera, for example. Just a few months ago, they outrageously lied about IDF soldiers allegedly raping Gazan women. We also work on monitoring, analyzing, and understanding what is being said in the media, and thus make our messages more precise and on topic. When Al Jazeera put forward such a lie, we responded forcefully, and even the former director of Al Jazeera had to tweet that Al Jazeera’s lie went too far. That’s our influence.
I sometimes use irony and sarcasm while being interviewed. I was interviewed by a Russian Arabic-language outlet, Russia Al-Yawm. The presenter quoted a survey about how Gazans think that Hamas won, and I answered: ‘Of course they have won – in destroying the future of Gazans, the schools, the mosques, the hospitals. If this is victory, then Ahlan wa Sahlan. So you want to tell me that they have won? It will take them years to rebuild the infrastructure in Gaza. Here, things are re-blooming. Yes, they murdered and destroyed, but we can look back, learn our lessons, embrace each other, and move forward.’
I also explain that the real victory is that the war has managed to unite all of the citizens of Israel. You see how Christians, Bedouins, Muslims, and Jews all chip in, prepare food for soldiers, and help each other. Everyone here experiences the same pain.
Another strategy that my team and I apply is the juxtaposition of Hamas leaders on the one hand, and the people of Gaza on the other.
Only this week, Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal said to an Al-Arabiya presenter: ‘Have you ever heard anyone from Gaza complain about what is happening?’ And I say, ‘Wa hayat rabbak [“Oh, come on”] – just take a look at Gaza networks.’ We published Meshaal’s interview with authentic videos of Gazans who complain about the situation and Hamas. He doesn’t grasp what his people are going through because he is simply not there.
We try to reach the hearts of the masses by coming up with catchy messages. We came up with a rhyming slogan that says ‘The leaders are in bliss, but the people are in hell.’ We brand Hamas leaders as leading a ‘jihad of hotels.’
I saw a short clip of a law student from Gaza who said, ‘My dream is lost,’ and it truly touched me, precisely because I am a woman, an Arab, and an Israeli, who has learned the morality and values of the IDF. The first thing that we study in basic training is the IDF Code of Ethics document.
So yes, I say that they are poor to have such bad leaders. The hadith [Islam’s oral traditions regarding the prophet Mohammad] says: ‘All of you are guardians, and all of you are responsible for your subjects.’ Hamas leadership is the exact opposite.
As a Muslim, do you use the Quran and Islamic traditions often in your content?
If I see fit to use a hadith, I will use it in our media and in interviews. One of the edicts of Muhammad before a war was not to kill a man, a woman, or an animal. When you see the videos of investigations of Hamas militants, and you see the father and son who admit that they both raped the same woman, is this what Islam says? Is this what the prophet says? Not at all. And shame on them. Such people are a shame to Islam. We call them najis [“impure”] in Arabic.
Regardless, I usually prefer to use my colloquial dialect of Arabic rather than speak in Modern Standard Arabic. I try to speak to the common people. Those Hamas terrorists are also common people, they understand my language. If needed, I can speak the Lebanese dialect or any other dialect. I want to talk to their hearts.
Avichai [Adraee] speaks as an official speaking to officials and enemies, he speaks to the mind. I try to speak more to the heart and more down to earth. I’m a simple person. I may be senior in rank, but that doesn’t mean much in this game.
I try to speak to people at their level. I feel them, and this is not just an empty slogan. I want to make them aware of what is happening, since they may be in a bubble and don’t see the whole picture. Let them come to my office and look at all these certificates. I want the girls in Gaza to be like me. May their life be full of certificates, excellence, success, education. I don’t want any person to have their dreams taken away from them as Hamas has done to this generation.
I have several videos where I appeal to Gazan women specifically. Mothers, sisters, daughters. I also sometimes direct my messages directly to the terrorists. I ask them: ‘What kind of man are you?’ Arab men have this image of ‘family honor.’ I tell them, ‘You kill, rape, and burn – and leave your mother and sister without a home. Where is your honor?’ When they try to harm us, they also inflict harm on their own homes and people.
Some would ask: Hamas does claim to speak in the name of Islam. Their name is short for the “Islamic Resistance Movement” in Arabic, after all.
When we said ‘Hamas is ISIS,’ that is exactly what we meant. ISIS is not Islam. By the way, it should be emphasized that Hamas is even worse than ISIS. Just look at what they are doing to their own people – they kill them, steal their food, take away their aid. If the residents only knew how much money went into Gaza and where it ended up. This is not Islam, this is simply pure political corruption.
If only Hamas cared about their people, Gaza would have become a paradise. They have beaches, hotels, villas – but all of this goes to Hamas, not to the common people. What came out of Oct. 7 in the end? Has [Hamas leader] Yahya Sinwar really thought ahead? If he really guessed that all this destruction would ensue and still kept on with his plan – his people should wake up and do something about it.
Islam will never tell you to kill and do what they did on Oct. 7. They hurt innocent people on Simchat Torah. The horror movie compiled by the IDF Spokespersons Unit shows two little children who ran to a bomb shelter with their father, who is killed by Hamas militants right in front of their eyes. The children return to the house, crying. One of them says ‘I can’t see anything!’ but the Hamas terrorist simply takes a Coca-Cola bottle from the fridge, sits down, and drinks it calmly.
Another recording from the film shows a young terrorist calling his parents excitedly: ‘Yaba [“Daddy”], I killed 10 Jews with my bare hands!’ and his father answers him: ‘May Allah bless you!’ There are no words to describe this. This is certainly not the teaching of Islam.
How can you know that your messages come across to the other side?
The relocation of populations from war zones is the best example of proving that our messages are getting through. The army used all kinds of ways to motivate the population. At first, they [the Gazans] didn’t budge, but after we tweeted in Arabic showing maps of designated safe zones, people started moving. That’s how you know it works. On TikTok, we can also see that Gazans watch our content. That’s not to say that they support us, but they certainly know that Hamas is lying to them.
Sometimes there are follow-ups after we’re interviewed by the media. Even when our contents face harsh criticism, it still means that people were affected and that it got to them. I also don’t view criticism as negative but as something that teaches us along the way. We ask for feedback from people from all kinds of countries, those that have peace [agreements] with Israel and those that don’t. When I read about the discourse in the media and social networks, I understand how to address the target audience.
As I mentioned earlier, I complement Avichai; therefore, I must understand what interests young crowds. Do they want to hear me threaten Hamas leaders, or see me in the middle of an exercise with the Caracal unit? Or would they prefer to see me running with a battalion or see a female fighter arresting a Hamas terrorist? We build our strategy from these questions.
When the message is authentic, it works better. When it’s too edited or has too many cuts, it won’t work. We try to learn from our mistakes. We are now trying to build a brand of colors for my social media accounts, and I don’t know if the branding will work. But this is exactly what trial and error is all about.
What are the main characteristics of the media in this part of the world?
Take Al Jazeera. There are always delays in interviews with Israeli guests; that’s how they can control what is being said. This is done on purpose so that people don’t hear everything they have to say. Israelis are only brought on to claim that the TV channel are ‘neutral,’ but in fact it is clear that there is a bias.
In other places, there are some anchors who interrupt you constantly. I believe in conversation. If you have decided to host somebody, let them speak! Are you an anchor or a commentator? If you decide to interview someone who asks questions, ask what the audience wants to ask, not what’s in your gut and you want to get out.
In another context, frequently in Arab media, when viewers see a person in a uniform with medals, it automatically gives their words more authority. We are also a trusted source for many. We sometimes receive inquiries from journalists about issues not directly related to the army, but they contact us because they know we are trustworthy.
Take the story of the Al-Mamadani hospital. Hamas came out minutes later and lied that Israel killed 500 people. It took us about three hours to delve into the details and respond. This proves that we do not say anything before the incident is thoroughly investigated. There is pressure, the audience wants to understand more about what happened, but we can’t issue a statement without properly investigating. This is why they trust us in much of the Arab media and want to see us on their screens.
There are journalists from the Arab media whom I respect who come up with questions that the audience truly wants to ask. A hard question is not necessarily a hostile one. My mother at home also wants answers to difficult questions, and our place is to answer the difficult questions as well.
When we’re asked about the casualties in the Gaza Strip – of course, there are unfortunate casualties when Hamas uses people to conceal themselves, hide weapons, and launch rockets. Give me one hospital in the US that has weapons hidden in there. In Gaza there is, and that’s the difference. So are schools, which have tunnels for terrorist purposes dug under them. Even in mosques. Since when are mosques a place for murder? Give me one Quranic verse or hadith that permits that.
Do people recognize you in the streets?
It happens to me a lot that I just walk around, and people stop me and say that they know me. In Paris, a man from Algeria started an unpleasant conversation with me, but we ended it with a handshake and a selfie. I believe in conversation, not in shouting. I could have taken a flag out of my bag, turned on a camera to take pictures of myself, and shout. But that is not a conversation.
In September, I went to a Lebanese restaurant in New York (what can you do? – there is no real food to eat in the US), and in every Arab restaurant I went to, people recognized me. Even here on the street some people recognize me. It’s fun, but it also depends on when. Asking for a selfie while I’m in the middle of biting into my hamburger can be irritating at times [she laughs].
I also get contacted on social media, especially people from Gaza. They ask me, ‘I am in Khan Yunis; can I leave and go somewhere else?’ I never have enough time to answer everyone, but it’s important to answer whomever I can because at the end of the day, this is what social media is all about, and our goal is to have a conversation.
I happened to meet with Gazans in person, too, at the Erez crossing. Some came to receive medical treatment in Israel. At the end, they thanked us for the medical treatment. Some of them also spoke to me against Hamas.
What would your message to our readers be?
I am a woman, an Arab, a Muslim, an Israeli, and an officer in the IDF. This truly shows the democracy of our country, of our culture here, that we can all be here together. The truth is never only one-sided. I say to everyone out there: ‘Come and visit Israel, no matter your language or religion. Come to our beautiful country for a few days and understand what is going on in Lebanon; understand why our war is just.’
Let them go and walk around in Judea and Samaria and see what happens if you say that you’re Jewish, and they’ll understand straight away how much we must fight to keep the Jewish people in the State of Israel safe.
I say this as a Muslim: We know how to live together, and that’s how it should be. We need to help each other and remain together. It’s especially fun to walk around Israel and hear all the languages and see the diversity. Israel is not only about a conflict between Arabs and Jews. Israel is fun. And even when there are frictions it’s because we are one family, as we saw in this war which reunited us.
This is the title of the State of Israel – a family. So, it’s no wonder that people call each other ‘brother’ in the streets.

Fanzine Friday #29: Mythellany (1981-1984) by the Mythopoeic Society
From the editor, Gary Myers:
This is Mythellaney [sic], a magazine for fun and for fantasy. Mythellaney is concocted by people like you who love reading about beasts, armor, princes, and then, (hopefully) writing about them. The magazine is not very large at present. Our goal is to grow to include not only stories by our readers, but also top professional talent. To help increase our circulation, a $25 dollar gift certificate from Dragon's Hoard Bookstore will go to the reader giving us the most paid subscriptions for our next issue (see details below). I and those who have worked with me on this issue hope you will find a laugh and a dream or two in it. There are cartoons, a crossword puzzle, and several stories we think you will enjoy. One is written by Phyllis A. Karr and those of us who enjoyed Robin and Queen Deraniel will be glad to meet them again in the Transalt Amulet on page 4. Ed Egan's tale I will let you discover for yourself on page 10. Fantasy is an arena for adventure, for a revel in ideals of courage and loyalty. In it we are free to explore the very hearts of things. Our modern world exacts a dreadful toll on the body, mind, and spirit. (Smog destroys the first, TV the second, and materialism the last. ) Fantasy is a refuge and a reaffirmation that man is more than the sum of his parts; he has a place in creation and a purpose in living. This magazine was created by those who believe in all the good things made possible by other worlds and other times -- a new loving, a new laughing, a new hope. As one of our writer's observes: "Come share the experience.
The Browne Popular Culture Library (BPCL), founded in 1969, is the most comprehensive archive of its kind in the United States. Our focus and mission is to acquire and preserve research materials on American Popular Culture (post 1876) for curricular and research use. EXO Chanyeol, 'Padding Gift' to 60 Staff Members... 'Personal Expense Flex' of Over 10 Million Won
The nicknames '박다정' [Warm-hearted Park] and '박스윗' [Sweet Park] weren't created for nothing. EXO's Chanyeol gave a warm feeling with his 'Personal Expense Flex' for his staff.
According to Xports News' coverage on the 14th, Chanyeol recently gifted expensive padding to about 60 staff members, including dancers, hair and makeup artists, stylists, and band players.
It is said that this was to express his gratitude to the staff who helped with the release of his first solo mini-album 'Black Out' and his solo tour '2024 Chanyeol Live Tour: Cityscape'.
Chanyeol has been exerting a good influence through consistent donations and sharing. In addition, Chanyeol's usual considerate and delicate side has long been famous among fans.
This anecdote is even more touching because it was revealed that Chanyeol not only bought padding worth over 10 million won of his own money and gave it to the staff as gifts, but also sent a message wishing them to stay warm during the cold winter.
Meanwhile, Chanyeol proved his wide musical spectrum through his first solo album in 12 years since his debut in August, and was also recognized for his musical ability by participating in writing the lyrics for the songs.
With this album, he achieved musical career feats such as topping the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 53 regions worldwide, topping the weekly digital album sales chart on China's QQ Music, receiving 'Platinum' certification, and topping the digital album sales chart on China's Kugou Music.
Furthermore, his solo tour that began in September will continue with a total of 17 performances in 11 regions around the world until next month, including Ho Chi Minh City, Manila, Bangkok, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, Jakarta, Hong Kong, and Kaohsiung, so Chanyeol's position as a 'solo artist' is expected to be further solidified.

Jimin Achieves 'Gold Single' Certification in Canada for 'Like Crazy,' First Solo Korean Song in 10 Years
Jimin continues to showcase his formidable solo power in Canada, shining with global popularity.
Jimin's song 'Like Crazy' has received the 'Gold Single' certification from Music Canada (formerly known as the Canadian Recording Industry Association, CRIA), making it the first Korean solo song in the past 10 years to achieve this recognition after the organization's certification revamp.
Music Canada represents non-profit organizations in the music recording, manufacturing, and distribution industry in Canada. They classify albums based on digital and physical sales, as well as the equivalent scores (TEA), assigning grades such as gold, platinum, multi-platinum, and diamond.
'Like Crazy' recorded sales of over 40,000 units in Canada, earning it the Gold Single certification for a Korean solo song, an impressive achievement that crosses the boundaries and barriers of non-English music.
Previously, Jimin's album 'FACE' reached 10th place on the Canadian album chart, marking the first time a Korean solo album entered the top 10 in the past decade. The title track 'Like Crazy' debuted at 21st on the Billboard Canada Hot 100 and continued to chart for 4 consecutive weeks, predicting the remarkable feat of Gold certification.
Furthermore, along with 'Set Me Free Pt2,' Jimin achieved the feat of having two songs by a K-pop male artist chart simultaneously. He also set a record for the most charted songs by a Korean solo artist this year, with a total of 9 entries from 4 songs, including Hollywood blockbuster 'Fast & Furious 10' OST 'Angel Pt.1' and the collaboration track 'Vibe' with Taeyang.
In addition, Jimin's powerful solo influence was evident in 'Digital Song Sales,' where he charted a total of 10 songs, including all tracks from 'FACE' ('Like Crazy,' 'Set Me Free Pt2,' 'Face Off,' 'Alone,' 'Interlude: Dive') as well as 'Vibe,' 'With You,' 'Promise,' 'Christmas Love,' and 'Angel Pt.1.'
In 2020, Jimin's exceptional popularity was highlighted when his solo song 'Filter' from BTS's 4th full album entered the Billboard Canada Hot 100 at 88th place. His solo albums have been met with explosive reactions and love from fans around the world, including Canada, proving the power of heartfelt music.
Congratulations #JIMIN

-(“Cub, your homework isn’t stupid just because you don’t understand it,”
“No! It’s stupid! Why do I need to know this?”)
As a grad student, this is such a fucking mood, Jesus Howard Christ is this a mood!
-(“I’m sorry, daddy. I was bad.” )
NOOOO BABY YOU WEREN'T!!!! Hugs! That baby needs cuddles, forever! It makes me so sad when kiddos say things like that.
-(They absolutely did not have a thing for dark haired antisocial disasters of men, )
Oh so we're just lying to ourselves now🤣🤣gotcha! Hizashi is already half in love!!!
-(Harry nearly collapsed as soon as the kids turned the corner like a puppet with the strings cut, pressing a hand to his lips to muffle the sob that threatened to break free. )
OOOOF the world is really crashing down emotionally here. Beautifully written, absolutely heartbreaking to read!
-(They coughed, not having expected the taste. “Is that pumpkin ?”)
Not gonna lie, pumpkin juice sounds absolutely disgusting! I don't like pumpkin anyway and that's just 🤢
-(“You don’t even know what he looks like.”
“Your siblings would tell me. If they didn’t I just have to see who they’re trying to murder and I’ll have my answer either way.” )
Accurate! Brilliant! Part of me hopes we get to see it!!!
-(He snorted. “And you call me a disaster.”
“You proposed to me by throwing a half filled out marriage certificate at my head. You are a disaster.”
“You’re the one that signed it.” )
HAHAHAHAHAH todignareuidmkdsajlhg To this day, this is one of my favorite EraserMic moments. I've read a LOT of EraserMic and this is top three moment for me!!! They are both disaster gays and I love it!!!
-So I love the breakfast scene so much. I'm a total sucker for soft family moments and this is just 👩🍳💋. And it's beautifully paired with the harder moments.
-FLEUR HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING GENTLELADIES, GENTLEMEN, AND GENTLETHEMS!!!! Love her character here! The overprotective sister vibes are strong and perfect! Shovel talks are always so fun! Especially when there is the chance of actual fire and the full capability to make them disappear.
-Yuuga is so heartbreaking here. And the moment they just break when they see their cousin, who truly loved them and wants them. ♾️/10 You have written this such a smooth way and you get so much character development.
-(Maybe family didn’t have to be something painful after all. )

I’m so glad that a quick throw away joke about the Erasermic wedding was so widely liked because it was the funniest and most fitting thing I have ever thought of for them. Just shouta fill sending a partially filled out marriage license into Hizashi’s face is incredibly Them Energy.

1. Ancient Names Pt. I
Has been my top song in general for the past uhhh five years? Absolute insane song that got me hooked into listening to more vide noir (and more LH in general). It’s got everything: gorgeous sound, amazing guitar and bass, fantastic lyrics (check my header), great storytelling and utterly immaculate vibes. Peak song‼️
2. Not Dead Yet
I literally have it tattooed on my body. It’s fun and I love the whole thing with “this shit sucks and everything hurts but I’m not dead yet and that has to count for something” I can vibe with that. Plus Phantom Riders songs are always always amazing
3. The World Ender
Fantastic song for a fantastic character. We love arson and revenge in this house
4. The Birds are Singing at Night
GORGEOUS AND CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED so glad it’s getting more traction and attention as of late. Hearing it live was a religious experience and I’m forever grateful it happened to me
5. Fool for Love
It’s a fucking jam what can I say!!! I’m a sucker for songs that sound happy but are in truth kinda fucked up. i love how the whole thing applies to the lore of maybe probably not being real. also the music video is amazing and has given me one of my favorite gifs ive made

This article aims to discuss the role and importance of SEO in today’s world of e-commerce and the rapid growth of Internet sales. Here are ten powerful e-commerce SEO strategies that will aid you in achieving this goal.
Optimize Your Product Pages
Ensure that each product page is properly indexed for the search engines. It is considered important to use keywords in the product's title, the corresponding description, and meta tags. Also, properly formatted images with correct Alt text and product reviews improve your rankings.
Improve Site Speed
A site that loads quickly creates a good impression with the users and boosts the site on the search engine results. Optimize images, implement a CDN, and avoid excessive use of massive scripts to enhance the speed of your website.
Mobile Optimisation
Make sure your website is also accessible on mobile devices/phones. Since more people shop using their mobile phones, a mobile site can decide to improve your search engine status and usability greatly.
Use Long-Tail Keywords
Generally, it is more effective to go after long-tail keywords since the traffic is likely to be highly targeted and likely to convert. The specified keywords have less competition and cover the target audience’s request in detail, which means the buyers’ intent.
Create High-Quality content
This is by posting good-quality articles on the products and on industries closely related to them at regular intervals. You can create and share blog posts, guides, and videos that will draw more visitors to your website and enhance your SEO.
Optimize for Voice Search
As speech devices gain popularity, using voice search is essential. It's important to use natural language and phrases that people are likely to use when talking to their devices.
Secure Your Website
SSL certificate makes your site secure as well as helps in increasing the rank of your site in search engine results. This is a valuable SEO technique since search engines rank secure sites as a prioritization factor.
Build quality backlinks
Traffic that flows from other reliable sites informs search engines that your site is credible and should rank highly in results. Focus on consistency and building quality relationships with influential people. Collaborate with other businesses to acquire high-quality backlinks.
Use Schema Markup
Using schema mark up allows search engines to interpret your content more effectively. This can improve your site's ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs) and increase click-through rates.
SEO Reporting and Review
Maintain the tracking of the SEO performance by using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console. When you analyse your data, you can identify areas that are effective and areas that require attention.
Conclusion
All these ten e-commerce SEO strategies that have been discussed above will help you improve your e-commerce website and improve sales greatly. It is very important to remember that SEO is not a process that needs to be done once and leave; on the contrary, it needs to be done frequently and modified constantly to meet the competition. Maintain the company on these strategies, and the result will be a vast increase in online sales over time.
