ever since seeing it AUs mentioned like it, i will always wish we had a flipped version of the love triangle where it's matteo having to choose between luna and simón instead - i don't even ship either pairing that strongly tbh but i just think narratively it would be so interesting and way more fun to watch
think about it:
having a show where the main character is not the centre of a love triangle and not the one who has to choose would be a really unique and entertaining plotline because we would get to see the inner turmoil of those characters in way more detail
we would get less of matteo's whining! there would be no petty competitiveness and it could genuinely develop his character a lot healthier
im sure it's been done before but two best friends being potential love interests for another character has such a more complex angst than a confused main character
there could still be a lumón plotline! complete the triangle!
honestly i don't really care for luna's pairings because i don't think she needs one but i think this story arc would've been way less hard to watch and would have just as much potential for drama

Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).
He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.
And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.
No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.
Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)
He needs to be quick.
Efficient.
Perfect.
And so he comes and goes like the wind.
Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.
Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.
He'd rather he never be late ever again.
It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...
.
.
.
" Come on, let's get moving, traveler. We're not frozen in place after all. " Kaeya teasingly says. He stiffles a giggle at the traveler's exhasperated sigh.
"Yeah yeah, we've heard enough of you calling us a slacker. Can't you be a bit more patient?" Paimon whines at him.
Kaeya snorts, but acquiesces, hiding the shaking of his hands at the thought of being idle.
He imagines hearing a clock ticking.
Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?
Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.

This is an interesting thought suddenly popped up while listening to some music recently...
The seven Gnoses were actually created from seven fragments of the Divine Creator's soul after they had disappeared from the face of Teyvat a long time ago.
These seven powerful fragments, each containing different elemental energy, turned into beautiful chesspiece-shaped sources of power that were then given by Celestia to the seven victors who won the Archon War, who became the Main Seven.
It was said that once someone combines all the gnoses and wields them at the same time, it will summon the Divine Creator back to rule Teyvat and Celestia, and to bring peace over the land.
Flash forward to the present, the Tsaritsa was actually collecting all the Gnoses to summon the Divine Creator in order to avenge Khaenri'ah and break their curse cast by Celestia as a punishment, by taking the Gnoses away from her fellow Archons, whether by diplomacy or by force.
When she finally completed them, she summoned the legendary deity. At the same time as she summoned the Creator using the Gnoses, bright gold and purple meteors were suddenly seen on the skies of Teyvat, brightening the night sky and the Visions of the Vision Holders. Tsaritsa was confused when they never showed up as soon as she summoned them using the Seven Gnoses, so she brings her Harbingers and the Fatui to find you, bring you to Snezhnaya, and protect them at all costs.
Meanwhile, people were talking about the mysterious event for days, and the six remaining Archons knew why this event had been happening. It's been prophesized in the ancient texts, after all.
It's time for the Divine Creator of Teyvat to claim their only right to the throne.
Under all this chaos, they had never noticed that a certain glowing golden meteor landed somewhere in the city of Mondstadt and you were there, now groggily awake in your regular hoodie and pants ensemble, with a Vision-like thing on hanging on your hip and glows like a primogem.
Unfortunately, the cruel gods now presiding Celestia know that you were summoned and fearing that they will lose their hold to the power that were supposed to be rightfully claimed by the Creator, they decided to manipulate the people of Teyvat into hunting the "imposter" for exchange of huge power and a chance to become a god given by Celestia.
Of course, people would definitely take the bait and proceed to hunt the "imposter" out of greed or justice, ranging from normal NPCs to the defeated and weakened gods in the Archon War who had allegedly participated in Celestia's bait so they could have Celestia's approval and take revenge against the Seven.
Whatever their reasons, it's still going to be dangerous to the young player who was now trying to survive while traversing the land of Teyvat with crazed people chasing the ends of the world to find you, not knowing that the player was the actual Creator.
The Seven Archons knew about Celestia's plan to eliminate you and vowed to protect the Creator, but they had to be subtle or they would risk themselves and their nations to the wrath of Celestia. The hope in their hearts know that they would find you so they could help you take down Celestia and take your place on the throne, so they subtly helped you whenever you stepped into their nations.
-----
And you will ask, "What about the twins, Paimon, and the Abyss?"
Well for the Abyss, it depends. It's a good opportunity to take the offer of Celestia so they could force the gods above to remove the curse, but their hatred and distrust for the sky kingdom above for the destruction of their homeland were greater than any rewards they will receive from the wretched gods.
Besides if they could find you first, they could convince you to join them and their plan for their cause. They may not worship this Divine Creator too much like Teyvat has (of course, they're from a godless nation) but they will do everything to avenge the fallen city of Khaenri'ah and possibly try to rebuild the city through your guidance and power.
The twins are a different story.
The Traveler knew you were the Creator because they had a deep connection to you, but may still stick to their original intentions. They will seek you partially to ask questions about their siblings' whereabouts and the truth of this world. Because you're an important asset to Teyvat, they will do their best to protect you because it's the right thing to do, not because they worship you. After all, you're a person in need of help to their eyes, even though you're technically a god now.
Paimon would definitely be suspicious of you but she will still do anything to get along with you. When you asked her though, she just doesn't know why she felt that way unto you. Whether this Paimon would be a traitor or a real ally is still the question, you never knew.
The Abyss Twin would definitely seek you, for you as a key to their cause, they thought your presence and hidden powers would make the "Loom of Fate" operation work successfully without anyone stopping the Abyss from doing it. All they need is to befriend and convince you to join their cause and agree with their plans. Unfortunately for them, you need too much convincing.

yall wolfwood is so silly goofy in the manga
i'm still not all that far in, but compared to both tristamp and '98, he's so expressive and goofy. sociable as hell, too. he's so upfront kind with everyone, so long as they're not hostile.
he's just like. a complete mess of a man that i'm totally digging lol
he's emotional. he's dramatic. he's a brand new flavor of babygirl all on his own- completely unlike every other rendition of him
he's still got his moments of being a serious, brooding figure, but they're kinda rare honestly. more than anything, he's just Chilling. having drinks, striking up conversations, etc.
it's been awhile since i watched 98 trigun, but i remember that iteration of wolfwood being similar, but more serious overall. he still joked around and had this hilarious funky conman energy, but he still doesn't feel as emotional as trimax wolfwood.
and tristamp ww is basically a completely different person. someone who's pretty much always serious, though still has rare moments of... almost sarcastic/forced positivity. when he jokes around, it's always like there's something else behind it- like when he made that jab at elendira or tried to force-feed meryl bug guts lmao. he's still having fun, yeah, but it's all kinda muted.
idk, it's just interesting to see him so expressive- especially after engaging with fanon ww so much and seeing him portrayed as stoic and brooding all the time. and i wanna clarify that i adore all iterations of wolfwood's personality, all for different reasons. it's just interesting to compare them
...tho his loss of melanin is a crime befitting death. his nose, too. they STOLE from him. what did he do to deserve this.
[EDIT] it's also come to my attention thanks to a lovely someone in the tags who pointed out that trimax wasn't finished when 98 was being made. that changes things! glad i know that now.

Mrityunjay: Durykarna (1)
bro B r o BRO I'm halfway through Mrityunjay, right now on Duryodhan's POV and I SHIT YOU NOT his description of Karna is straight (hah) out of a fucking romance novel.
I MEAN THIS SHIT;?!!!?! Fucking G O L D
(The following translation sucks but trust me when I say that this gay loser describes Karna in the most flowery way POSSIBLE)
He (Karna) has a way of making all those who were close to him, his own in every way. With his many attractive qualities, he has won over the vast majority of citizens in this capital city. But his most powerful and mesmerizing trait is his enviable personality (in this context; his physical appearance).
Whenever he stands in front of me, I don't know why but it feels like there are countless particles of radiance fluttering right in front of me. Every time I look into his blue eyes, the blue vastness of the sky pales in comparison.
Sometimes, I would run into him on the royal staircase of the palace as he was returning from a bath (in river Ganga). I will never be able to forget the way he looked then. The way the residue of the clear droplets of Gangetic water shines brilliantly in his wet, curly golden hair, it reminds me of dewy sunflowers in the garden that dance to the tune of the wind.
His gentle swaying earrings, his magnificently smooth forehead, his nose as straight as a flagpole, the colour of reddish-pink lotuses flushed across his cheeks, arched golden eyebrows racing towards his ears, biceps as large as an elephant’s trunk, the carved, glowing muscles of his calves, his broad and elevated chest could be likened to the huge back of one of the mega turtles of Ganga, his neck round and thick like an arrowhead, his shoulders were strong and chiseled, not unlike a bull’s and all of these features were beautifully enhanced with his sunlike round face!
In my opinion, there was no other man that could rival Karna’s distinguished beauty (and caliber) in the entirety of Hastinapur. He’s reserved and talks very little. But his silence is a living commentary! Whenever he speaks, the sound resembles the clear gong of a mace smashing against another, grainy and deep.
In the terms of voice and the style of speaking, Karna is only second to the Grandsire (Bhishma), who is my favourite.
Sometimes while talking, he would break into a breath-taking smile and his teeth would cast a golden glow and I...
and I forget Guru Drona’s hurtful neglect towards me, forget the insults hurled at me by Bhima-Arjun, hundreds of wounds that scrap the deepest corners of my heart are long forgotten. I forget that I’m the crown prince of the Kurus, forget that tomorrow I’m going to be the emperor of Hastinapur. And like the endless buzzing of a bee, only one thought starts spiraling in my head--
“Is Karna really a Suta (the son of a Suta)? In the modest hut of a charioteer, could a man bearing such an ethereal form be born? Is Karna really inferior?”
Then my soul tells me quite defiantly, “Karna is not a charioteer’s son! He is the epitome of brilliance! How can a glowing jewel (*paraphrased) be born in a cave of darkness? Karna must be some celebrated king’s bright and courageous son. Karna must be a Kshatriya!”
