okay i gotta say i know tommy has been working on doing stand up and it SHOWS like his new video is genuinely so funny. it’s just a silly little update video but i was fr laughing out loud at “even though it doesn’t bother all the other minecraft youtubers, it bothers ME” and his comedic timing on “and it IS hard for me, the rich white guy” really elevates what is a pretty standard joke into like genuinely making me laugh. he’s right he is talking slower now and it makes his comedic timing so much better and his jokes are more subtle now too. it’s cool to see how he’s grown! even though he isn’t the same “crack addict jumping all about the place that [he] was” and his content has changed too i do still enjoy watching him bc he’s still so genuinely funny

A Woman Like You
Tommy Shelby x WOC!Reader
Word Count: +1,215
Warning(s): Angst, Sexist remarks, Societal pressure, Sterotypes.
Author's note(s): I've recently been using writing as a form of therapy. This goes to all the ladies that can relate.
You've fallen head over heels for Tommy Shelby, but now you're questioning if his intentions were sincere or not.
Tumblr media
GIF by nofckingfighting
You made the mistake of falling in love. You should've seen the signs sooner. You started working at the Garrison as a bar maid with Grace, eventually moving up to being their sole entertainment. You were an exotic bird who had caught to wandering eyes of drunken Englishmen. Some folks would say you had these men in a trance, with your rare features and seductive mannerisms. Some even say you're a witch. But there was only one person who saw you for you. Tommy Shelby.
It was refreshing, being seen as a soft, delicate thing. His demeanor would shift when talking to you. He's much kinder to you that with any of his men. That was until another, prettier face had caught his eye. You of all people knew the truth: Tommy Shelby would never love you. Instead he'd fallen for your coworker Grace. She's everything you weren't. That may have been the reason why. Of course, you should've seen the signs. How he'd look at her with such tenderness.
Tumblr media
Eventually his entire personality completely changed with you. Perhaps they were his true colors. After her death, things went south. Tommy returned to you, but only for physical intimacy. He was rough, unapologetic, and at time, downright cruel. He hadn't spoke to you like a lady, with basic respect. It almost hurt knowing men will never speak to you with kind remarks. As soon as you found a better option, you let him know right away. When you close the pub for the last time, Tommy was there. It was strange, having an Englishman waste his previous time on foreign blood.
You turn around to find Tommy sitting on a barstool, not paying him mind. Then something strange happened. He isn't usually this tender, not even in private. So why on earth was he telling you to stay? After every humiliating thing he'd put you through. How Tommy would shimmy you off his arm in front of his business associates. It only got worse when he'd flirt with women right in front of you, then ask for a fuck because it was convenient. Perhaps it was the liquid courage, maybe even the hormones that made you tear up with anger. But for some reason, you wanted to let him know he hurt you, "Enough, Tom, you need to stop doing this,"
He tilts his head up, genuinely surprised that you'd spoken up. His eyelids are hooded, "If you've got something to say..." he lights up a cigarette, "...say it now," how predictable. Tommy's cruelty had no limits. You were tired of being his little plaything, "I deserve better than this, better than you," letting him know how you truly felt, "You're fucking selfish, you know that?" tears already streaming down both cheeks, "You could've told me you were seeing other women, Tom," your vision blurs. Tommy objected, "You knew who I was when you met me--"
Tumblr media
"Yeah, yeah I thought I did, until you decided to to make an acceptation with that blonde whore!" you knew what it would take to get his blood boiling. You wanted to hurt him the same way he hurt you, "I've wasted most of my life waiting for you to love me back, I wasted my good years on a man who wouldn't care if I bled out on the floor!" voice now shaking. You were filled with regret, pain, and anger.
He doesn't even know what the weight of his words did to you, "I know how you English men see women like us, we're always sexually desired but never loved, enough for a good fuck but not enough to make a wife," a chuckle escapes your tips at the thought of it. How could he marry someone like you? His name and status that he's worked so hard for would be tainted. Because who could ever love a woman like you? He had the audacity to roll his eyes, "You were entertainment, to bring customers in," someone pretty enough to keep company around.
"Everything, Tom, everything I've been doing, the act, because I am not allowed the luxury of being seen as innocent," after pouring your heart out, he still hadn't believed you, "Don't act like you haven't been seeing other men," he scoffs. You started to laugh at that remark. Had he really been that clueless? Tears stream down both cheeks. You wipe at them, smearing your mascara, "Now that's incredible," a deep grunt is trapped in the back of your throat, "You really think I'm a whore, don't you?" in an almost hushed tone, "Tommy, you were my first and only, do you really not believe me?" nothing felt worse than being betrayed by the one you trust the most, "All I ever wanted was for you to love me," since the beginning you were there. Even when he was mourning Grace you were there to keep him comfort. How foolish of you.
"Now you never told me--"
"I know who you pretend I am, who you want me to be," you roll your eyes, sniffling for a moment, "I'm not like you Tom, I can't pass, I can't change the color of my skin or features-- I will never be the white woman you've always wanted me to be, the kind of woman you'd keep on your arm without feeling embarrassed, why can't you just accept that?" a faint pause, "You told me...you told me she wasn't your type," barely a whisper, "Was everything a lie?" when he doesn't say anything, it was the only answer you needed. At that moment you snapped, "Please! Look at me!" you smack his arm, "Tommy!" when he does you're given only a cold stare.
Of course, it was never going to be someone like you. There are tears brimming your eyes again. It hurts, knowing that you will always be second best. Always an option but never the first, "At first I was confused, your infatuation with Grace didn't make sense, and now I see that it never mattered who she was," your breath hitches for a moment, "You were always going to choose someone like her..." now rambling about the obvious, "Prettier, blonder...whiter," you taunt.
Each word felt like venom on your tongue. You should've been used to the poison by now, "You don't know how long it took for me to trust a man again, after the pain I've been through--women like me, Tom, we don't have pretty blue eyes that get us what we want, not without a price," that remark made your skin crawl, "Always the seductress, never seen as pure," a dark chuckle erupts, taking up all sound from the bar. Tommy only stares back at you, with that same cold expression. You lean against the counter, looking down at the wood before returning to glance at him, "Did you ever love me?"
If there's one thing about Tommy, is that he would never lie to you, "No," a short, simple answer. You give him a soft, faint smile. Saddened by the loss but also relieved that you were free at last, "Thank you," with that you left, never returning to the Garrison again.

OOh, i like streamer au!
First question: how did Tommy begin to stream?
Second question: does tommy recognised Buck from the chat? Maybe he has an inkling given by an unique turn of phrase or a weird word he is the only one to use.
third question: how does Buck recognising him change their first meeting and their date?
Fourth question: which is your favourite part? What didnt make the cut but was an interesting concept?
Obviously, i love your writing, i'm always giddy when you post anew snippet and i don't even watch 911!
Omg thank you so much!!!
Twitch Streamer Tommy
ONE:
I think it started out as a joke tbh. Like one of his friends was visiting and saw Tommy's truly ridiculous set up for it, and was like "Dude you should stream this" and Tommy thought "Eh, fuck it" and did. And it picked up fast and does surprisingly well, so he just keeps doing it.
It's big enough that it's a little extra income, but not so huge that he's a Big Name re: gaming streamers or anything. He's got some friends in Europe or something that help him mod the chat. People keep telling him to make t shirts, but that sounds like too much work and he's already fucking busy, so he doesn't.
He does at one point get a 'remove before flight' t shirt at an air show, and wears it on a stream one time and takes it off before takeoff, and people go fucking nuts.
TWO:
I think Tommy would recognize Buck's handle as someone who is frequently in chat and is pretty active, but I don't know if he'd make the connection about the handle name actually being Evan, without Buck saying something. Tommy does interact with the chat a lot, but he is also actively flying while he streams. It's a lot of glancing over, seeing a question, and answering it. In Tommy's mind the chat is kind of it's own entity, instead of a bunch of individual people.
THREE:
Buck hasn't really conceptualized that what he has on Tommy is a crush. He just thinks Tommy's cool. And then he's suddenly being flown into a hurricane by the man, and it turns out Tommy actually flying is somehow hotter more interesting than Tommy playing a video game. Because this is real. This is actually life or death, and Tommy's a fucking excellent pilot and Buck is. He's just flustered. About it.
Buck's trying to find a delicate way to be like "ARE YOU REMOVEB4FLIGHT?" even though they're on the tail end of the cruise debacle, but Eddie beats him to it. Eddie just asks Tommy point blank "Do you play video games online? I think my son watches your show" and then Tommy gets flustered. Obviously pleased and surprised, because he's never been ~recognized IRL~ and the first time he has, it's by a peer because his kid watches. There's something really exciting about that.
I think it's Christopher that tells Tommy that Buck also watches the streams and how it's a Thing They Do Together. (Chris, of course, gets to learn how to play flight simulator on Tommy's ridiculous setup) And Tommy's like "huh" because Evan didn't say anything. Buck is stewing in jealousy because how come Eddie gets to hang out with the cool firefighter pilot and Chris, instead of him? Eddie doesn't even care about the streams >:(
I don't think Buck asks for a tour, he hears about the Vegas trip after the fact and is just green with envy. But I do think the basketball game still happens, and Tommy comes to Buck's apartment to clear the air. Because Tommy now knows that Buck is vaguely a fan, and Buck knows that Tommy knows, I don't think there'd be a smooch.
The added aspect of Entertainer and Fan would make it kind of weird, they're not necessarily on a level playing field (yet). Buck isn't starstruck per se, but he's also not just another firefighter Tommy met on a job. Tommy sticks to assuming that yes, Buck is jealous, but that it's a combination of Eddie being his bestie and Tommy having minor amounts of internet fame.
BUT THEN they do start hanging out, both with and without Eddie and/or Chris, and become friends. And Tommy starts to look at Evan and go "...is he?" and Buck is oblivious because he's hanging out with Tommy and Tommy's so cool and yeah he's got a good ass but it's not like Buck is staring at it a lot (he is) and Eddie is looking at the two of them dance around each other and going "HUH. INTERESTING."
FOUR:
I think it's just a fun concept in general, and I do love it when there's more of a slow burn when characters get together. Friends to lovers is *chef's kiss* and all that jazz.
I did think about including snippets of Tommy interacting w/ the chat, but ultimately scrapped those because it seemed like too much extra stuff. But I think at least once a stream, something like this happens:
Chat 1: so is there a Mrs. B4FLIGHT?
Tommy: *snorts and starts laughing*
Mod 1: no
Tommy: "I'm not interested in women."
Mod 2: dumb comments will result in getting blocked
Chat 2: you don't look gay
Mod 1: BLOCKED
Mod 2: BLOCKED

A Friendly Reminder...
...to not watch the show through the official channels. Since there's a possibility that they won't continue Tevan's love story, our biggest chance for Tommy's return is by:
Keeping the rating/viewership* low to push the show to bring Tommy back.
*Rating = live/same day views via cable, viewership = streaming views up to +7 days since live.
Some people might think that our views don't matter. There are 4 millions people watching the show. Tevan shippers might be only one or two thousands people on Tumblr. We're like drops in the lake.
This situation is similar like the latest US presidential election. There were 140 millions of voters. Our votes like drops in the ocean. Did it stop you from casting your vote?
You want protections of women's rights and marriage equality. You want an affordable health care. You want a free, or at least affordable, higher level education. You want accountability of police brutality. Did you vote to make them happen, or were you sitting around, letting other people vote, waiting to reap the benefit from other people's works?
You want a happy ending of the rare bisexual relationship representation on TV that you've invested on. You've done some of the works: submitting complaints to ABC, and posting comments on ABC's official IG & FB accounts. But we all know, all of them won't matter if the rating/viewership doesn't budge.
You still can get the update of the latest episode by watching video clips on YouTube. There are several YouTube channels which upload clips from the latest episode within hours after it is live. My go to channel is:
Other similar channels are:
Nobody can't guarantee that witholding our views would bring Tommy back, like no one could guarantee that Democrats would win even if you'd voted Blue. Even if the show continues Tevan's love story, it might be because it has been planned in advance, and this break-up is a planned temporary hurdle. Whatever the result is, let's try our best to make their love story continues.

Lost Media Found! I knew my cousin vin and said he found this game that was said be buried in sadam andler's closet. an unknown gem, known as nedm. people, and omong gamesters, know this today as "not even doom music", as stated to be a hidden pilgrim of the Meme. But in truth there has been no real answer what nedm stood for. I say it is Nintendo Entertain Dumbo Mondo! Because it was told this was one of those games id software sold their engine to and made a s****y super nintendo shooter!!wtf!?! but in truth it was just a bootleg port for the it made from New Germany. Well anyways we dug a bit deeper on this conntecting the schemy publisher of the bootleg beeing SlyEye, a third-party coop. Ties with Segtendo, idk, idc. Point being they owned the dev team GIGABAD Studio, a colleges dorm squad formed in florida. Know a guy know a guy situation between John Carmack and and Tommy Tallirico (what a bambino!) Vin played the game on Lint.tv and some of the original devs showed up! They talked about how they sold the license to the game for fucking 50k euros. I'm American so I can't get those numbers working at the moment but that's a wallop of fondue! They legit moved onto working in the industry on the side, like the type of guys you'd see in the credits but in the smallest of all texts scrolling by after a 70$ AAA game. They did mention that the bootleg is a complete botched port and the original game made for DOS-MS was vastly different in everywway, so far as saying it's as good as DOOM was but more. This was sort of a small team trying to make it big but gets swindled by the last minute type of crud. Somehow no different than the Action 52/Cheetahmen situation. They even said they had a whole comic that came with the game it was supposed to be shipped with, saying it was like a 1-to-1 story mode as the game goes on. Not a lot info spread aferwards, the stream got cut due to a DMCA takedown from the band Jerry Flintstone from copyright infringement, which alas was just a false auto flag. very luckily i was recording cousin Vinstripe, The Mafia Gamer play this game and paused to listen to the music. This was said to be the final boss's theme song or one of many. the dev said they don't know who made this. they only went by the intitials. A.M.
[ excuse the quality my roommate was downloading deadlock on steam without the thottling so it sounds like an aol.voice chat =[ ]

Simp (Part 1) | Wilbur Soot
A/N: I hate this title. also, oh my god it’s my first ever series!!! A personal thank you to @one-reverie for easing my thoughts about making a series for the first time. Anyways, enjoy this short first chapter.
Summary: An internet interaction with a streamer leads you to a new friend.
Pairing(s): CC!TommyInnit x actor!reader, CC!TommyInnit x gender neutral!reader (platonic)
Warning(s): None.
Italics: tweets or text messages
my masterlist :))
~~
Your phone had been blowing up with notifications lately and the reason for it was quite unusualper se. It all started when a famous streamer, TommyInnit, mentioned you in one of his streams, how he thought your latest action movie was fucking awesome—his words, not yours—and how you were also awesome and gorgeous. His fans had been tagging you in various posts of clips from that moment in his stream on Instagram and Twitter. You thought it was sweet and was flattered by all the positive things they had say about you. You never replied or respond to any of it but you were very much aware. Until one day when you did.
It was in the middle of a two week break from filming. You were on YouTube trying to find something to watch while eating lunch when you came across one of his vlogs. The title ‘I Spent The Week Ruining Amsterdam’ intrigued you, therefore you clicked it. Just from the first few minutes you were already smiling, laughing and gasping at their antics. It made you want to rang a few of your friends, book a flight, and go on a boat ride in the Amsterdam canals. Needless to say, it was an entertaining 17 minutes and 22 seconds of your life.
The idea of you tweeting the video came not long after the video ended. You were washing the dishes when it just popped in your mind, a lightbulb turning on after being tinkered for awhile. You didn’t see the harm in it. A simple shoutout to this funny chaotic young man wouldn’t hurt. Hell, both of your fans would probably be ecstatic by it. With a made up mind, you hurriedly dry your plate and hands, went back to the living room where your phone resides and opened Twitter.
next holiday plans: travel to Amsterdam, rent a boat and travel the canal with some of my closest friends. thanks for the idea and the laughs @tommyinnit
It was only a few minutes later after you tweeted that when you got a text from your publicist. She revealed that you’re already trending for the tweet that you sent and went on to continue about how this would be good for your social and internet image. Although, it’s her job to think like that—and you were very grateful to have someone like Anne be your publicist—you really weren’t all that interested in it and instead asked if the person you tagged had reply to you.
He did. See for yourself.
And of course you did. You opened Twitter, checked your notifications—which was a lot—and there it was. You tapped the screen and it direct you to his tweet that of course made you laugh.
always a pleasure to help someone in need. i’m here if you need me *wink*
You typed back a reply, something simple but you hoped it was funny. It took you a few try to get the right response—being witty and funny doesn’t come easy for you.
I’ll keep that in mind. Also, you know I’m way older than you right?
Later that day, Tommy received multiple texts from his friend, his big brother you could say. Each text was either all capital letters or followed with extreme usage of exclamation mark. Tommy, with his scheming self, decided to gloat about his interaction with you and how you followed him on Twitter now.

Who are Buck and Tommy’s first celebrity crushes? The rest of the 118?
Well. Buck and I are the same age (roughly), so he's a little easier. I feel like he would've had a thing for the Disney girls, so Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff. He wouldn't have taken a side in their feud at the time, just thought they were both hot.
By relation, Tommy is a bit older. In my head, he told people Julia Roberts was his first crush, but it was really Brad Pitt. As for once he finally accepted himself and could be open about being gay? He finally admits he's had a thing for Neil Patrick Harris forever.
Hen and Chim have Cindy Crawford in common. Sometimes they still go on tangents about how hot they thought she was growing up.
(I'm too young to figure out Bobby lol)
Eddie definitely lusted after Eva Longoria. He also has a soft spot for J.Lo. Every now and then, Buck will catch him jamming out to "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and it's never not entertaining.
Ravi definitely had a thing for Miley Cyrus. He says he doesn't anymore, but he'll stream her music at home. He also has a thing for Sandra Oh. Grey's Anatomy got him through all those years of pediatric cancer treatment, and he vibes with her personality.

Every now and then I'm haunted by the fact that during 2020/2021 I was suuuuuuper into dsmp. My two irls got me into it via Tommy's exile stream and the rest is history. That fandom had me in a vice grip for years.
And like. The dsmp was far from perfect. It was a bunch of dumbasses just trying to entertain themselves during quarantine and eventually tell a batshit insane story. People were getting cancelled every other month. Ccs were commiting genuine crimes every other month. This isn't supposed to be a post that glosses over all the imperfections and awful behavior of the people who make up the dsmp community yk. But I don't regret being a part of the fandom at all.
I was in my freshman year of highschool just trying to make it through a pandemic without going nuts. Those streams were my everything back then, for better or for worse lmao. It's so fucking cringe in hindsight but who even cares about being cringe anymore anyways? I sure don't. I was happy then and I'm happy now that I was part of the fandom. Zero regrets somehow lmao

i dont agree with what jack and tommy did recently either but i am glad that they didnt say that c!dream died or anything like that and instead siad that everyone in the server left, like tommy oculd have easily been like "the nuke ending and c!discduo talk isn't canon and my character canonically killed c!dream" and cinniters would have seen that as canon.
That is very true. I did end up watching parts of it and I have to say I was pretty harsh on them (though I was really more so harsh on the idea of it being retcon which was being fed like an intentional thing when that’s not what happened), but really ccJack is just there vibing and ccTommy is the one leading the lore. But even then, it’s really just kinda a somber reminiscing. Most of that conversation people posted happened as they just stared at Techno’s house. And it’s kinda sad that this reminiscing moment was ruined by the propaganda that they retconned the lore, which isn’t even what happened. In fact, I’d agree he could’ve taken a different route, but ccTommy really kept things as open and non descriptive of other characters, just talking about himself and what he’s been doing. He mentions Tubbo and that’s it. So you are right it definitely could have been worse, but more importantly things were just kinda blown out of the water a bit and things were taken out of context and at an angle that doesn’t make sense and isn’t true…
But ya see what’s funny is he made the script for the nuke finale, it’s his lore and his streams. CcDream wasn’t the brain child of it and didn’t make money off it. So it’d honestly make no sense to retcon his own shit. Like what is he gonna do go and delete his streams that have millions of views, yeah right. Give me a break… I mean I do personally feel like he has become controlled by his fandom to the point it makes him disingenuous and unappealing to watch (for me), which is sad, but here he at least doesn’t go far especially as Jack certainly doesn’t let him because in both instances of talking about the nuke Jack insists he did it and it happened. It’s ironic because people want to control a narrative but I think it’s the authenticity and in the moment improve that played a big part of making the dsmp popular in the first place. Because a lot of it is genuine silliness between friends and it’s part of why ccDream is popular because he just has fun with his friends and their friendship and banter is entertaining. Sometimes the bloopers are the most fun to watch or the out of pocket improvised lines, because the authenticity and passion is tangible and enticing… anyways in watching it I wonder if this is him perhaps meeting in the middle. Like hey if you don’t like season 1 ending, here is the season 2 ending… or maybe he’s been thinking about c!tommy lore awhile and like took up the opportunity to do some of it, as a writer I can understand the appeal. The dsmp seemed to be a way of projection for him and clearly since he wrote scripts he does think about his character and plots and such… I mean ccSam said he and ccDream did off camera roleplay, because it was fun and something they enjoyed, and maybe that’s what this was, a way to tie up lose ends for them and put out there some of the things they wish they had said.
It doesn’t have to be a big lore thing or a malicious act of ccTommy retconning his lore because he hates the finale or to please his fans that do… if you watch it, it’s really more so just a sad moment shared between two friends who miss something as much as they wouldn’t do it again, playing their characters for one last time.

I think my favorite time in fandom will always be those nights where we'd pick the most random and funny or heart-wrenching angst topic about c!Crime and all of us add to it.
Like, did we want to talk about Wilbur and Tommy staying in their shitty little fort outside Las Nevadas eating instant noodles and bickering? We'd have a post with 10 replies detailing all of the stupid shit they'd do stay entertained and Tommy luring Wilbur back to his actual house for a real meal and Wilbur always vanishing by morning. We'd have posts that would start with lighthearted jokes about canned spaghetti and end with something that felt like a punch to the gut to balance it out.
I miss the community and it's funny because those best posts came from when we weren't getting any lore. The server wasn't officially over, but we hadn't had streams in six months and were creative and excited to still talk about those characters and the world we'd create for them.
I dunno. We could still be doing that -- I could still be doing that because I still consume fanfic and love those characters dearly -- but I haven't been around.
Anyway that's my way of saying if you ever just want to be silly and talk about past RPs or c!Crime in any reality I'd be down.

I have nothing to post so like, let's think about Mötley crüe YouTuber AU.
Tommy does dumb challenge video's that get an insane amount of views, but like not on his channel personally, people will re-upload the snippets in his videos where he gets hurt and put them in fail compilations that get millions of hits while his sub count sits at like 20k. Most people watch him cause he's hot and dumb hot guys getting hurt is the best entertainment available to humanity. He also plugs his only fans on the main.
Nikki either does these like pretentious art house short films that are like an hour long and in Italian that nobody understands or he films himself with his crapped phone camera at two am eating tidepods on his unmade bed. There is no in between.
Vince is a YouTuber who sits at like 19k and is honestly just there to look hot while talking about cars. He has a whole channel where he reviews all kinds of cars that he borrows (read: breaks into) and takes them out for a spin. He desperately wants to get sponsored by Ferrari or something but due to his unforseen (and obvious) crimal record they never do. He also plugs his only fans on the main.
Mick posts like twice a year and still somehow has pretty much the same amount of subscribers as the rest. He reviews music and albums and always has something insightful to say about music in general. He also does not show his face on YouTube, he wears a mask for when he's on camera and has an avatar for when he's not. He also sometimes streams on Twitch and then he just plays cod and just kinda fucks around.
Idk how they would meet and start making videos together though, like I said my brain in mush rn.

Congrats on 1000!! I’m here for the event :)
Tommy, band and broken
I kinda did this with my last Tommy band AU, but yknow what I like Band!Tommy okay. And he’s a drummer this time because I said so :)
Pairing: Cc!Tommy x Gn!Reader
Band AU - Broken
Tumblr media
“They’re all broken!” The shriek tears through the house, jolting you awake.
Living with your bandmates was constant hell, but you signed up for it. It seemed like someone was always practicing, but you learned to ignore that. The late-night karaoke sessions you didn’t actually hate: they could be fun. But the number of times you’ve walked in on someone live-streaming to fans? Too high for comfort.
But your bandmates were your best friends. You wouldn’t want to live anywhere else, or with anyone else. Even if you did sometimes question that choice.
“Who the fuck did it? Who broke my drumsticks?” Tommy screams. Resident ball of chaos and drummer, he’s the basis for 90% of the bad ideas in the house. Including the hole in the kitchen wall.
With a loud groan, you drag yourself out of bed. Tommy’s room is just down the hall from yours, but he’s already at your door when you open it. His hair is an absolute mess, and clutched in his hands are broken drumsticks.
“You.” He snarls, jabbing one at you.
“…what?” You yawn, blinking blearily in return. Did he break his drumsticks? Why is he so mad about that this early in the morning.
He gives you a suspicious squint, then nods. “I bet it was Tubbo then, if it’s not you.”
“What?” Is all you can repeat.
“My sticks, you idiot!” He exclaims, waving his fist in your face. “Someone broke them!”
“Are you sure it wasn’t you?”
He does have a habit of breaking them. Especially on stage. Granted, he tosses them into the crowd at the end of every show, but you’re pretty sure half of your expenses are just drumsticks.
“I’m going to get Tubbo to fucking admit it, and then you’ll regret ever doubting me.” Tommy informs you, turning away and storming off down the hall.
You’re easily entertained, so you follow along quietly behind him.
“This feels like a bad idea.”
“Shut up.”
“Why would he break your drumsticks?”
“Fuck off, I don’t know!”
“Are you absolutely sure it wasn’t—“
He spins around, throwing half a drumstick at you. “It wasn’t me!”
It flies past your head, hitting the wall. Thank fuck he never learned how to actually aim.
“Now are you on my side or not?” He asks.
On one hand, being on his side would be funny. On the other, if Tubbo actually did break them all as a prank, you want nothing to do with their prank war.
Funniness wins out.
“I’m on your side.” You reluctantly say.
“Then knock on his door.” Tommy points at Tubbo’s door. You send him a glare, but do as ordered and knock twice.
Nothing.
Tommy shoulders past you and bangs loudly on the wood. The entire door shakes in its frame, and you wince. If you have to buy a door next because of him, you’re killing him.
After a long moment, the door swings open to reveal a disgruntled Tubbo. There’s pen on his cheek, and his hair is sticking directly upward. Definitely someone who just woke up.
“You did it.” Tommy says, not allowing Tubbo to say a word. “Admit it. You did it.”
“Did what?” Tubbo yawns, looking past Tommy at you.
And then the fucker winks.
“You bastard! You fucking bastard!” Tommy screams, noting the movement. Before you can stop him, he lunges forward and tackles Tubbo.
They crash backwards, with Tubbo shouting in pure fear. You watch them tumble around, Tommy trying to shove his broken drumsticks down Tubbo’s throat. Or something like that, you couldn’t figure out what was going on between the shouting and fighting.
“Die! Die you bastard!”
“I didn’t do it! It wasn’t me!”
Slowly, you step forward, and close the door. You can still hear their muffle cries from behind the door, but you can’t see them anymore.
Out of sight, out of mind, right?

Hi! Deadpool here, call me Wade. What's it like at the increeeeedibly secular Sky U? My step-daughter (she doesn't know she's my step-daughter) is entertaining the totally style-crampin' Xavier's for her mutant future which-- okay, I get it, best school for well off white folk, but come on.
If any minor character can have a brand new life at this university, it's gotta be the bomb-dot-com, right?
new money, revelled, reviled / @disneybucks
"sky high as well as sky u was founded by theodore stronghold and his wife ann-marie but nowadays, principal penthesilea powers runs the show - you may or may not know her as powerhouse. turns into a comet. turns into a lot of other astronomical objects, too. each with their own innate power set. hence, powerhouse. she's kind of like our wonder woman." and easily khione's favorite person.
Tumblr media
"my parents actually wanted to send me to xavier's, believe it or not. i had to sell them on sky high and sky u. don't ask me how i did it. to this day, i still don't know. i'm glad i managed, though."
actually, she does. she did it by appearing on her mom's reality tv show: the famous lives of superhero wives, now streaming on netflix and paramount plus and hulu and a plethora of other streaming services (that do not delete their ip off of said platforms)!
he's actually her favorite and everyone is always so surprised when she reveals that. he's right up there, right next to cloak and dagger because she loves a good duo with contrasting powers, as well as rogue because, well, she knows what it's like when you hurt people when you touch them. and storm because she's storm. khione doesn't trust anyone who doesn't like storm. it's just on principle, you know?
"i would ask how it's possible that she's unaware about being your stepdaughter when she's your stepdaughter, but i'll finish the sales pitch first before we dive into that: so, our p.e. teacher is named tommy boomowski, alias sonic boom. everyone just calls him boomer, though, 'cause that's what he is. his voice is loud but other than that, he's pretty harmless. a bit of a himbo, really. um, we've got professor jeannie elast - stretches herself too thin all the time." is that a power pun? yes. "rumor has it she's got a crush on boomer but she hasn't given us a yes or a no so i'd have to get back to you on that."
maybe she should have drawn him a flow-chart. "then there's mister medulla, he's basically our xavier. except he does mad science. i don't think mister xavier does mad science. mad science is really fun, actually. it's just the lessons on telepathy that trip me up all the time." that is to say, khione's good at making sure her environment doesn't get turned into a winter wonderland but keeping out telepaths? (even when it's an exercise in class?) that's something else entirely, and what it is is headache inducing.
her friends will probably not believe her when she tells them this. which reminds her that she's gotta ask for a selfie before this conversation's over. (not an autograph, those can be faked. though, these days, there's a whole bunch of things people can fake. selfies included.)
"there's this one youtuber i follow - not a figure skater, for once, just one of those uplift-y people - and she was like: we're all major characters of our own life or something like that and i know that's a cheese-fest and a half but i also don't think she's wrong about that. not really." which is the warmest, gentlest and the most pointed way of saying: hey, don't be like that, calling someone a minor character is not the compliment you think it is. that's a lot, coming from this hydro-cryokinetic.
"in the interest of being totally honest because i think that your stepdaughter who doesn't know she's your stepdaughter needs to know the ins and outs before she commits - not every student will be cool." case in point: gwen grayson. "just last week, i turned one of my classmates into an icicle on the school lawn. again. he was being inappropriate. also, they're still working on updating the mental health part of the curriculum so you're screwed if you get, say, kidnapped by barron battle---" ethan bank. "---or katie baxter." khione herself. "so she's gotta have a good support system in place."
then, the coldest girl in maxville gives the merc with the mouth a warm smile and says, sincerely: "i think she's got that covered, though."

it’s 2024 and every day I have to fight tooth and nail to keep my dsmp obsession from coming out of hibernation. Not even cc’s like I have no interest in going back and watching streams. But the lore?? The lore forever lives rent free in my head. This beautiful hybrid mix of canon and fanon shaped to tell a story that is actually incredibly nuanced and fascinating if you view it from that hybrid perspective.
Source material that was a little goofy at times and fanmade content that made it hyper realistic. That truly created a world that somehow manages to have multiple different canons? I love reading fics and seeing how everyone applies their different headcaons bc with how loose the backstory is? Anything could be true. I eat up every single version of c!sbi dynamics I read and every single person writes it differently. And yet they are all inherently the same characters, the same people at the heart of this narrative. And by focusing on different parts of the story you can take completely different meaning away from it. Like it’s the same story but because there are so many perspectives it’s so COMPLEX. Everyone (except for c!dream) has their own perspective and their own viewpoint and their own character wants and needs and desires that clash with others. It’s so intrinsically human. Characters that are not just created to fill a narrative space but fit themselves into the narrative instead. And because so many people watched so many streams from various perspectives you really get to see it in real time. The clash and the conflicts and the interpersonal connections leading to canonical decisions? It has so many building blocks to become whatever you want it to be and I fully believe that’s why the creativity of the fanbase was able to bloom so much. You could take what you liked and make it your own. Everyone has a slightly different way that they draw c!tommy. You see the devil hybrid, or the raccoon hybrid, or the blue cardigan or the green vs the red bandana, some of them do the white streak and some of them don’t but they are all still so clearly c!Tommy. The spirit is the same. And especially when it comes to costume design? OBSESSED with what artists and cosplayers created. Specifically for c! Dream, techno and Phil. Holy SHIT? The intricacies and details that go into those designs? The layers? people will literally draw anime boy techno or genuine pig hybrid techno and it’s still so clearly him?? It’s a fucking fascinating lesson on perception if you ask me. How all of us can look at something and objectively we all take in/have access to the same information but we all interpret it so differently?? Obsessed with the idea of a story shaped by its viewers, of flexible canon, and keeping themes universal. I can go read any sbi fic set after exile and they all follow the same generic format and yet every single one manages to be so different because of how they write the characters obviously, but also what sides of them they choose to show!! Obsessed with the different ways people write c!tommy PARTICULARLY post exile because even during those streams there was such an intense shift between the serious lore and cc!tommy just kinda fucking around? And seeing how people take bits of the cc’s and incorporate them into the characters? OBSESSED. Because it’s so improv based and it’s content made by people whose job is essentially to perform and entertain there are so many bits and genuine lighthearted moments. Especially back like. Pre Jan 6th id say? You were never stuck in lore mode the entire time.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved the lore streams, and just watching for plot, but when it’s not mixed into the regular streams you lose so much of the cc! Mixed in with the character. Like after doomsday there were so many people creating such interesting and fascinating backstories that were like genuinley interesting stories but they just didn’t have the CONNECTION some of the OG server members did. It almost became like your lore character was an entirely separate person from you that you portrayed when the BEAUTY of it . That’s what made the relationships so compelling is having these people who were friends in real life create these characters that played and bounced off of each other. I think it was able to develop into what it was BECAUSE it was taken less seriously at the start. No shade whatsoever but these are not professional actors working from a script. The more they tried to script all of it (despite giving us some insanely cool streams, thank you Quackity) I feel like they lost some of the genuine connection that came from the back and forth banter and split second decisions. It was never a thing meant to be controlled or contained. Like I know that I sound like a broken record but I would genuinely LOVE to do a serious deep dive into it from a writing and/or character building, psychology, social media, covid perspective because all of those things had to mesh together to make it what it is that I don’t even know how I would start but I fully believe there is an opportunity for FASCINATING psychological research to be done there. How did a media source like this come about and raise to such popularity? How did it impact streaming in the future? How did it manage to provide a source of connection for thousands of people worldwide when the defining trait of that period was isolation? Were we drawn closer because of the isolation? Would it be replicable on a scale like that ever again? What worked about it and what didn’t? How can we learn from the positives and the negatives it provided us to shape us as people? Especially when so much of your audience were teenagers in critical development periods missing out on the social interaction with their peers that is CRITICAL for that time period. Because there was nothing like watching a lore stream and going on social media to see EVERYONE talking about it. There was so much physical distance and yet there was such an intrinsic connection with a group who was experiencing the same thing and found a way to cope with it and fill that social void. Did the lack of interpersonal relationships being developed (or even maintained) during covid impact how deeply people clung to the relationships of those characters? How the connection both between the audience and the character, the character and the streamer, the streamer and the audience all created that connection?
This is much much longer than I meant it to be and I will NOT be rereading it so I hope it’s somewhat coherent but like. Yeah.
TLDR: the Dsmp is fascinating both as a unique form of narrative and a massive social event and if I could analyze the impact of it more I Absolutely would

Remember the DSMP/MCYT citizen memes? I think we should make ones like those again but it’s just memes predicting what we’ll be posting about as a fandom or as ex-fandom members in like a decade from now. Here are my first contenders:
• Not my coworker asking if I saw who the new Vice Presidential frontrunner is and me looking it up to see that it’s fucking ConnorEatsPants HELP 💀💀💀
• “Living life peacefully. Remembering BadBoyHalo has 4 kids now” jumpscare meme.
• Has anyone else seen that trending law firm ad for Quackity’s new practice? Crazy that he got Mr. Beast in there, I thought he hadn’t left the bunker for 3 years? Or did they film it in the Beast™️ Underground Content Room?
• Tubbo: “Tommy it’s time for the 48th origins SMP reboot”
Tommy: “Yes honey”
• LOVEJOY AT THE MET GALA THIS YEAR?????
• Guys! I’m eating my apocalypse rations and I think Michael McChill was just behind me in line. I couldn’t really tell because of all the smog but it sounded like him,,, small world I guess. If I see him again I’ll start humming Mamma Mia to find out
• If I had a nickle for every time a former DSMP member won a Nobel Prize, I’d only have 2 nickles but it’s weird that it happened twice
• Anyone remember when Hasan started that IRL gardening stream trend? And then Karl started showing up on HGTV landscaping shows? That was a weirdly entertaining spring.
• the jerma-jack manifold collab channel is pretty strange tbh but it’s funnier than i thought it’d be

this guy nearly drunkenly murders his own children. just a reminder
hi I thought abt kalestella a little bit too hard and now I regret to inform you that I died and I’m dead now. Most likely in hell with my self indulgent demon wife but idk. There are as many iterations of her as there are of myself. We are two cosmic creatures defined by the time and place in which we are perceived, but every other version of ourselves has forged who we are now and who we are to one another. We only know what has always been, and we have always been beside each other.
I don’t know what the fuck that was. What five years of a parasocial attachment to the concept of a Charles Dickens character does to a person I guess. Anyway funny idea I had. Take your noeul content it’s like red dye 40. Addictive but terrible for you. Vaguely inspired by my own experience as a 13-14 year old as well. Good times. @svwhssftr
Noeul had been Sara’s best friend since she was five years old, mainly because Sara moved to Dalseum at the same age. When her father was so untrustworthy that only the most untrustworthy man on the entire island trusted him, she had very limited options for close friends. The only other child around her age was an obnoxious, lanky boy who constantly wore a comically large  puffer jacket. She vividly remembered the first thing he ever said to her.
“Do you know how to play Subway Surfers?”
Young Sara, in fact, did not know how to play Subway Surfers. However, she beat the level Noeul claimed was impossible in under five minutes. This interaction laid the groundwork for their relationship for the next approximately thirty-five years.
Noeul did eventually outgrow his puffer jacket, but his incompetence was engrained into his DNA. Sara was always one step ahead of him, no matter how misplaced his confidence was.
At fourteen years old, Sara and Noeul were as close to “friends” as they could be. Really, neither of them had anyone else to be friends with. They did everything “friends” did—steal each other’s snacks, poorly apply each other’s makeup, take stupid selfies, but, most importantly, share secrets.
As Sara wandered the Palace for something she could possibly do, she briefly passed Noeul’s room. His LED lights were blue, which meant he was having another one of his immature breakdowns. Sara always found these entertaining, so she chose to investigate.
“Hey, Noeul,” she said, sliding open the door unannounced, “do you want to—“
“You could have knocked!” Noeul squeaked, peeking his pale face over his knobby knees.
“Where’s the fun in that?”
“It’s rude, man!”
“You’re weren’t doing shit.”
“I was working out my very complicated feelings!”
“That last Wilbur stream get to you?”
“No! Well, obviously, but that’s not why I’m upset right now.”
“I can’t believe Dream pulled that. Hope Tommy kills him soon, for real.”
Noeul murmured something unimportant before returning to the fetal position, his studded belt glinting in the ultraviolet light.
“I was planning on going to get some boba at the new place just outside the Cocktail neighborhoods, if you wanted to go.”
“Sara, can I tell you something?” Noeul dramatically sniffed.
“Yeah. I won’t stop you.”
“Will you promise not to tell anyone?” Noeul stood to adjust his horrible homemade curtain bangs in his mirror.
Sara paused. “Depends. Will this put anyone in danger?”
“No, not any immediate danger.”
“Doesn’t matter to me anyway, actually.”
“Sara.” Noeul grabbed her shoulder and looked directly in her eyes. His breath smelled like white Monster energy. She pushed him away gently.
“Yes?”
“Sara, I think I like guys.”
Sara blankly stared at him, expecting more.
“Yeah?”
“What do you mean, ‘yeah?’”
“Obviously you like guys. Have you seen yourself?”
“Don’t stereotype me, Cherti.”
“I’ve known you were gay since you were, like, six years old.”
“How is that even possible?” Noeul’s voice cracked yet again.
“You just… I don’t know. Look at you, man, you’re so sad. And you’re a Wilbur Soot fan. No heterosexual guy likes Wilbur Soot.”
“He’s attractive no matter who you are,” Noeul argued.
“No, he really isn’t.”
“Whatever,” Noeul scoffed, adjusting the falling LED strip around his L’manburg flag.
“Do you still want to get boba?”
“Are you insinuating that I like sucking balls?”
“No. You are, though.”
“Speaking of Wilbur, I’m thinking about adding Ghostbur to my kin list on Tumblr. I just feel really connected to him, you know?”
The two were polar opposites, in Sara’s opinion. “Yeah, you should do that. I just added Amity Blight to mine.”
“Ooh, that’s a good one. I need to finish season one.”
“Oh, have you seen Enchanted Grom Fright yet?”
“I haven’t, actually—“
And so off Sara and Noeul went. Idk how to finish this it was so dumb LMAO I JUST THOUGHT IT WOULD BE SILLY
