i swear the toxic fandom needs to be address on this topic and who you can like and hang with, depending who on a ship or if you love and hate the series.

It’s embarrassing on how others bully others for it ,

we all know the show showed great lgbt rep, but it had more to offer if the representation wasnt shoehorned at certain points,

and no disney is not to blame,

however it’s a proven fact ever since Re-watching the series, I felt like the narrative lore and storytelling was sacrificed over fandom discourse.

PANEL TWO: Caleb looks out the window. "I can't see anything from here," he thinks. PANEL THREE: The noise breaks off into a screech, followed by silence. A close up of Caleb looking through the bars of his window, eyebrows raised in bemusement. PANEL FOUR: His expression changes to uncertainty. "It stopped..." he thinks. PANEL FIVE: Hunter throws the door open with a BANG, Belos following behind him. "DAD!" he yells happily. Caleb jolts, startled. PANEL SIX: "You'll never guess what just happened!" says Hunter excitedly. Caleb turns to him, wiping the clay off his hands with a towel. "Violence and destruction of property?" "Well, yes," answers Hunter, "but--." PANEL SEVEN: Belos stands at Hunter's side and rests his hand on his shoulder. Hunter puts his hands on his hips and smiles at Caleb proudly. "Lilith Clawthorne has finally captured the Owl Lady," says Belos. PANEL EIGHT: Caleb clutches his shirt as he looks at them, horrified. The panel around them is black except for the barred window behind him. "She captured her own sister?" he asks. /End ID]

Wow. That's so interesting! Because there is literally no reason you can't ship that bisexual character with the same sex character as is. No one on earth is stopping you. Bisexual people are attracted to the same sex. You can ship away without changing a single thing about them!

But you keep insisting they should have been lesbian or gay so they could date the same sex and... gosh. It almost seems like... you just hate that they are bisexual!

me: you know i feel salty about how toh handled its characters of colour. let me go to the toh critical tags maybe i'll find people who share my sentiments.

the toh critical tags: "here's why killing off the genocidal white puritan was bad, actually. also huntlow bad."

every other fucking post is about how killing belos was bad or about how huntlow is bad. not a single post about how willow and gus got the short end of the stick in terms of screentime, ESPCIALLY gus whose episode was overshadowed by lumity, not a single post about how raine was reduced to eda's love interest and most of their screentime was them being brainwashed. not a single post about the copious amounts of white favourtism in the fandom to the point that they talk more about amity than luz, who they reduce to being amity's gf. no, lets advocate for the white colonizer!

One thing I’ll always love Luz for is how empathetic she was towards Amity after getting expelled by her parents.

“Sorry, I was a coward in there. But my mom—!”

“Hey, I get it. You’re scared of her.”

They could’ve easily gone down the route of Luz blaming and getting pissed that Amity didn’t stand up for her, but no. Instead Luz understood why.

I think part of it is because she saw how Odalia and Alador acted in Willow’s mind, but still.
