Thor woke, his chest ached and loneliness bit a dark void into his soul, it took a few quick breaths before it subsided and the feeling was gone. On and off again through the years and he wondered… a body moved, shifting closer to him before he extracted himself and carefully slipped out of his bed and moved to the other room, stepping before the basin to wash his face. Relying on the cold bite of water to chase away the lingering ache in his chest.

He stared at his reflection and decided to not think of the foreign feelings, there had been no one to match for him. Sif and he had hoped, but when her mark appeared it had not matched. Being young and full of misguided dreams they had vehemently denied it, they had sworn their love to the other and that none would be able to come between them.

Until… until Sif laid eyes on the matching mark.

Just a heads-up, I'll be gone for the next few weeks to Japan. Been planning this trip with one of my besties (aka the Donnie in my life) to celebrate our 20th friend-iversary. We'll mostly just be eating and soaking in hot springs, but since the two of us are very Leo/Donnie coded it is likely I might post some shorts or photos of our adventures. You have no idea how long this took me. Not because it was hard, so to speak, but because I had nO TIME TO DRAW IT---

BUT. It's done. Congrats to the one person who guessed Leo could use portals to fly -- that was like. A huge plot point I wanted to delve into.

It's not satisfying to him, so to speak. As he says, it's not ACTUALLY flying. There’s not a lot of control here, he can’t maneuver or turn without needing another portal boost. Plus, he doesn't exactly LIKE the feeling of falling, knowing that should he screw up, should he not catch himself, or should his portals fail him like they do oh so often, he doesn't have any natural way to save himself... A fear that was only truly realized after Draxum tossed him off a roof.

However, the method helps ease his desire a bit. It's something he'll do for hours at night, when he can't sleep, until he's exhausted his mystics or the feeling of freefalling just gets to be a little too much for him. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
