and idk. maybe theyre just keeping him away bc they cant be bothered to write around the phantom ruby and its inconsistent/vague abilities that just kind if did whatever the plot needed it to do in forces. i know if i wrote something that messily op i would want to get rid of it in the most unceremonious way possible bc thats embarrassing. but thats beside the point

if infinite were to come back specifically for redemption i personally dont think he would still get to have the ruby. or at least a working one (bc remember, in forces his is a finalized replica of the real ruby, not the actual original thing. which i also think is stupid but i digress) so with no recharge station available it would effectively be useless and be would be less of a threat. that would put him in a more vulnerable position and potentially set him up for being at the mercy of sonic and co bc whats a regular guy gonna do against a group of super powered freaks? lmao

but yeah thats pretty much my stance on the matter. if infinite is ever allowed to be used in idw i think that would be the best shot for getting some kind of redemption for him. game redemption feels less likely and honestly i think it would be cooler for him to stay a villain there anyway

edit: i just realized i never truly answered the question and was talking about the "hows" more than the "coulds". i do think he can be redeemed but as a counterpoint, it is really the most interesting thing that can be done with him? i think he still has room for more villainy before any redemption could happen in a way that feels satisfying. idk maybe i just like my evil scrimblos being evil too much and thats adding bias but yeah. again i could see them jumping to a redemption arc if it was in the idw comics but i think it would be less fun that way

What I think Simon likes about Wille

honestly so happy that its easier to grind in hsr then genshin cause im actually able to properly build my characters instead of whatever mess i had in that game (i got the right artifacts but trying to get materials for anything was a bit of a pain to me)

also that the resin (i dont know what its called in this game im using genshin terms) can like. overflow into this other thing??? is. so helpful. (i stopped playing at one point so i just came back to both being full. and then when i realized what it actually did it was a godsend because it made it so much easier to fully commit to grinding. i know in genshin you can make the resin this little thing? condensed?? but thats a thing you have to do yourself i think)

all im missing is leveling up the lightcones and traces

and im only missing the traces because i already used up weekly bosses. THATS IT.

robin and ratio have the same boss material so all i have to do then is get the other resources which isnt actually that hard (ill only have an issue if i cant material synthesis or exchange or whatever since i need to do it for the robin stuff that you get from enemies that can ambush you, i dont know what you refer to them as, but cause i havent unlocked penacony yet lol)

and the only lightcones that might give me issue is because highlighted is penacony material stuff

so YEAHH i feel like im doing pretty good in that department. also ive caught up to penaconys story i just havent started in-game because i wanted to see where it all leads up to and then go back to see all the foreshadowing and get a better understanding of what happened since it also confused me, so im waiting for a time i can just sit there for countless hours and focus. i even switched to eng vas so i dont end up misreading something

i returned to honkai star rail because aventurine. i focused on the story because aventurine. (got spoiled his story, realized 'what the fuck hes cool i like him' and watched someone go through the story) i came back in time for his banner but you know what? i had like zero wishing stuff because id stopped playing so i missed out unfortunately

i have friends who have aventurine as like one of the support characteres thingy tho? like the the where you can get support from other peoples characters

so thats been fun. but also auto is kind of bad with aventurine. or maybe because it thinks 'oh theres already a shield, so i wont e' which is pain. on the other hand actually playing instead of having it on auto is fun with aventurine. i like planning around it and thinking of who to have use their skills while keeping in mind when i should have him refresh his shield. i cant explain to you how it hurts seeing hp missing with a shield around it because i cant do anything about it (im the type of person who likes to keep my characters hp full ngl)

probably not the best decision to want shield over a healer but. i can make it work. maybe. i just want aventurine ok. (except for phantylia who as far as im aware is the only one who can just TAKE hp like that? without even affecting shields???)

its been a while since i read the orv webtoon and i still havent started the novel but was randomly thinking about orv(specifically kdj) again this morning... sorry this isnt deep analysis or anything but i just wanted to archive my #thoughts.. sorry seasoned orv fans if i didnt cook (i may have cried typing this tho)

edit: also the way kdj can't see his own character profile bc the 4th wall also blocks him from being read by others (ANOTHER CLEAR METAPHOR MANIFESTED LITERALLY AAAH HIM PUTTING UP WALLS AND NOT OPENING UP SO OTHERS CANT READ HIM)... him being able to literally read the minds of others w ORV but can't read/understand his own self the same way (and has to gradually find out more abt his abilities and by extension himself on his own)...

edit2: obv this isnt a full analysis bc this was just my quick frenzied rant but... his powers don't just come from emotionally distancing himself... i want to add on that his ORV skill also rewards him by being able to understand and connect with others..? like when he successfully is able to understand/empathize w others points of view his skill grows stronger... but even with that it's complicated because even as he gains understanding of others he still doesnt fully open up to them and distances himself from them... (like how kabru from dunmeshi analyzes others and understands them well but doesnt open up to them himself)... its as if he's analyzing charas in a book... but that doesnt mean his own heart is unaffected... ...is it fitting to say that the ORV and 4th wall skills are 2 contradictory aspects of his chara? ...No, i don't think so... they work together in tandem because he still can observe and analyze others and gain an understanding of them while completely removing himself from the narrative... just like a reader would... which he is. reader is ofc always a self insert (not myself but just in general for most readers lmfao) but beyond appearances i think that reader would be more “tomboyish” (in personality/nature and physical self portrayal) bc of her experiences with sexual trauma and androphobia which can really detach oneself from feminity. of course, that is not the case for all female survivors of sexual assault. coping with something as traumatizing as that can manifest in many forms.

like idk why but reader wears leather jackets—a black vintage worn leather jacket and she drives a beat up toyota sedan.

natural hair, natural makeup or no makeup, and yeah. maybe a bit androgynous looking too, i feel like simon would be into that LMFAO (i honestly feel like he’s into anything tho he definitely gives me pan vibes)

stalking. 😭. she stalks them, she’s a stalker and she’s not ashamed of it either like she’ll say it. spends time in your bedroom when you’re not there type of stalking lmfao. swan’s way of extracting memories is very dynamic, she approaches people directly and talks to them and, in acheron’s case, touches them/gets up close and personal (gay) so she first gathers info by stalking then arranges a sort of “chance” meeting where she makes first contact hsjdjfhd like imo shes the type to already know a lot about her crush before they even meet because she has time on her hands and her curiosity is something fierce. she needs to know everything that makes them who they are and at first she just observes them a lot. it’s through contact that she travels through their memories and i don’t think she could help herself either, she would do it regardless of whether they’re aware she’s swimming inside their head which is kind of a privacy breach but she’s a memokeeper, it’s just what she does. swan is very gentle but very forward as well when it comes to advances, her interest is crystal clear and her attention feels unreal because she’s seen more than anyone will ever witness even if they lived three centuries so to have her focus be on YOU? unreal. she’s very flirty as well, lots of lingering touches and pet calling (darling, dear or compliments like calling you sweet, cute, pretty etc). when swan likes someone it showsss like she has no need for subtlety if she wants you its written in her eyes for sure. her pining is so cute though because she’s very much a gentleman, shes so charming to me you cant tell me anyone wouldnt have folded if she danced with them like she did acheron like… expect her to swoop in and save you from nightmares, she’s that cute. i feel like she’d love dipping into your dreams in general. probably influences some of them for fun. she makes a show of “courting” you properly like mortals do but her dates are all very cheesy, tho she puts her own spin to them. loves to go dancing, look at the stars, these kinds of things. she has a thousand stories to tell and is very knowledgeable so if you’re curious she indulges you all the time and her voice is soooo soothing… so relaxing. she takes pride in it. all that to say i think she’d be very charming and obvious in her yearning, excluding the part where she talks her crush lol
