TMNT Headcanon: Owning a Business
I was inspired by @thelaundrybitch with her post about the turtles having jobs so this is my version.
If the turtles managed to successfully integrate themselves into society, I could see each one owning their own business. These jobs are based on an RP that I’m in with a friend of mine. The idea is that Donnie had invented cloaking devices to allow them appear human and also had gained a sizeable income by marketing and selling his inventions.
No TW needed for this
Tumblr media
Mikey
Easily the owner of his very own comic book store.
He has to learn how to run it though.
He’d be determined to learn, he may act scatterbrained but when he really applies himself, watch out.
Donnie can’t watch his little brother fail in this endeavor and gives him a crash course on how to run a small business.
Once he has the basics figured out, he loves it. He’s finally around likeminded people and he can finally put his geek knowledge to good use!
He’d give the best comic book recommendations, having read as many as he could get his hands on.
There would also be a table section for TTRPGs and card games.
The store would become a popular hangout for Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons.
Mikey would schedule themed days where people could dress up as their favourite characters for discounts.
He’d host live action role-playing events, board game nights, trivia contests and movie nights.
He would thoroughly let his geek flag fly and his store would be his pride and joy.
Raphael
Runs a motorcycle repair shop that also deals in custom paint jobs.
Co-owner with Casey Jones.
Raph has always loved fixing up and working with his bikes so this is an easy choice for him.
Casey still does vigilante stuff on the side but April is very relieved when he goes into this partnership with Raph.
It’s Casey’s idea to add the customization of bikes alongside the repairs.
The two of them do butt heads initially while learning how to run it but once they have it down they become a good team.
Difficult customers have no chance when dealing with these two.
Shortchanged? Have fun getting your bike back.
"You could’ve fixed it better? Be my guest and don’t come back, asshole."
"Yeah, we can get the part, no we aint’t gettin’ it from your shady buddy’s backyard business."
Besides the odd jerk-off customer, Raph thoroughly enjoys his work.
He also uses the garage to work on his own custom bikes. Occasionally he’ll sell them and it becomes hugely popular.
Eventually he starts auctioning them off and donating a part of the proceeds to charity.
He’ll take a lot of pride in his work and finds he really enjoys making an honest living.
He’ll still do patrols with his brothers and keep up with his training.
Leonardo
Owner and Sensei of The Green Dragon Dojo.
This just made perfect sense for Leo. He loved training and all things martial arts so why not pass on his skills to those who wanted to learn.
He teaches adults and children alike.
He secretly prefers teaching the little ones though.
He loves their eagerness to learn and how they call him ‘Sensei Leo’.
He does end up creating a small team to do martial arts competitions.
His students almost always win.
His classes become so popular that Leo finds he needs to hire more help.
In my headcanon he’s made peace with Karai and The Foot Clan and decides to go to them.
Karai is very pleased he’s asking for her help and agrees to teach classes alongside him.
Leo still leads his brothers in patrols but is more relaxed than he used to be, due in part from getting older and now having an outlet to teach.
Donatello
Donnie creates his own company.
Owner and CEO of Hamato Tech.
It has a research lab with a whole section dedicated to his inventions.
He’s dedicated to the betterment of mankind and creates patents for all of his inventions.
He finally has the resources and funding needed to complete his many projects.
Super nice guy to work for, loved by all of his employees.
He accepts students for paid internships.
He has a preference for underprivileged students. The ones that wouldn't normally receive this kind of opportunity.
He wants to give keen young minds the opportunities he never had while growing up.
It would take many years but he would eventually have a huge discovery that would result in him getting nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
He’d win it too.
@iridescentflamingo
@thelaundrybitch
@danceingfae
@redsrooftopprincess (I hope this is okay, I know you agreed to put me on your list so I thought I'd return the favour)
@adebauchedsloth
@thepinkpanther83
Please let me know if you'd like to be added to the taglist!

⋆.˚✮ Mental Glow Up Tips ✮˚.⋆
When we hear the words “glow up” - many of us automatically think about our appearance, not understanding that a glow up is internal and external. Too often we neglect our mental state and stay stagnant; repeating the same cycle our whole lives. It’s important to practice mindfulness and stay in the present moment so we are able to be fully aware of our thoughts / actions to reduce stress and increase mental clarity. Taking care of our mind is a large component to self-care, if not, the most important.
Below are a few exercises & knowledge ideas to practice.
Write down all the old habits the new you wouldn’t carry & write how you will replace them - what new / more self fulfilling habits will you now include into your daily life
Focus on reading one book a month. This can be about anything you wish. Reading will help you expand your vocabulary & literary skills , lower stress levels, improves your sleep if you read before bed, improves memory & can give you the confidence to speak with others about topics you might’ve stayed silent about prior to reading.
Stay up to date on global changes. You don’t have to know everything going on but its important to know at least 3 big events currently happening. When you go to gatherings and people are speaking on global events, you will have the courage and knowledge to also pitch in. Don’t be the one sitting in the corner clueless.
Aquire a mentor. It’s important to have a guide in your life, why not make it easier with someone likeminded and encouraging? You never know where this connection may lead, this will always open new doors for you. Don’t be afraid to ask questions & share ideas. A mentor is able to provide you unbiased advise from their previously acquired knowledge + hold you accountable.
Start learning a new skill that most people wouldn’t expect you to have. This allows you to be more interesting from some else’s pov. This doesn’t mean acquire a skill you normally wouldn’t care for just to be ‘cool’ - but rather, acquire a skill you’ve been wanting to achieve for a while that you probably haven’t told many people about. Pick a niche topic.
Listen to informational podcasts - this improves your overall listening skills and feeds you valuable information at the same time.
I know it’s talked about 24/7 but STOP procrastinating. That goal you have set a year from now? How can we now make that achievement in 6 months? Every day you should be working towards something. Too often we fill our days with things we believe are getting us somewhere (cooking, cleaning, running quick errands, etc;) when in reality those activities are simply getting you by - these are already set in stone chores you are going to do regardless. What is your goal? How can you break down your goals on paper to achieve things each week instead of each month?
Learn financial literacy - you should have control and understand your finances. When it comes to money, you should have confidence. This equips you with knowledge to make informed decisions.
I could write around 20 more tips but I will keep it at the basics. Don’t overstimulate yourself, reward yourself for achievements - you don’t have to be strict but don’t slack either xoxo.

Bound By Blood
Part 1: Little Starlight
You had felt innately like a bird perched upon a thick branch, letting you observe the world around you from a secured covering. The habits of the people who were coming toward the estate your mother had meticulously designed down to the colour of the grout for the tiles, were nothing but a show for you.
The luxurious influx of foreign vehicles that had pulled up toward the house, a set of keys tossed toward a valet to be parked, were all marked by the same kind of egotistical edge. The owners of said vehicles were either lieutenants in this criminal empire your father had created, or they were associates and close-knit friends that he trusted his life with.
There was a kind of dissonance that you had come to terms with, watching your father make his money and earn his power through blood and violence. The threat of being torn apart as a family, the knowledge that at some point the federal law could come crashing down upon the family with swift justice was always there.
It was an overhanging shadow that would have made anyone who wasn’t so engrained in the gritty and grisly world of organized crime want to shit themselves. But your father seemingly thrived under the pressure.
And your mother had thoroughly enjoyed the wealth and the monetary stockpile she acquired for herself—in the form of designer bags, shoes, clothes, a series of imported vehicles, and no less then 3 vacation homes. She was born and bred to be the wife of someone rich and powerful, expectations that had been pushed onto her by her grandmother and mother.
Your mother wanted much of the same for you, someone to take care of you and provide you with this kind of life. While there was no denying or any doubt that your mother had reflected her own generational expectations for you, she was a loving mother in her own right. Just as your father was a loving father in his own guarded and abrasive manner—your parents had given you every advantage that they thought you needed.
Your mother was insistent on you starting the classic forms of art suitable for you—ballet since you were 4, piano since you were 6, and the obvious addition of being well versed in overanalyzed literature. You were sent to the best private schools in the area, meant to mingle with other children who were from families that were as equally as powerful and untouchable.
By every written word in the book of your life, you should have been prepared for the Stepford wife role your mother was trying to carve out for you. There was a tenderness beneath all the complicated layers of what encompassed your mother, and you certainly loved her as much as she loved you.
You loved your mother dearly, your father too. However, there was a risk to being so open with your adoration for your family—and that was something you had learned from your father. With his closed off and guarded exterior that could often be cold, he had made sure you knew how much he loved you while trying to divert as much attention away from you as possible.
You were a carefully guarded and shielded secret, even from the most trusted of men. Your father was deliberate in making sure you and your mother had benefited from the terrors he had inflicted upon the world around him without your hands getting stained by blood.
Blood warranted blood, and your father had fucked up.
An order was given, a hit was put out for a rival to be taken care of after a deal had gone south. It was a world that warranted quick action and violence, and an unshaken inability to look back and reflect.
Blood warranted blood, and your father had made an enemy of someone who was only known as a Gravekeeper. You hadn’t even known the man, or the kind of hellish company he had kept, all you had known was that your father crossed him. Your father made a powerful enemy, and someone was going to end up losing horribly.
It's why your father had called this grand gathering of likeminded and criminally, morally objectable people to the estate. Your father was gathering allies after the hit was carried out in a manner which your father deemed the rightful course of action.
The inability to discern why your mother had insisted on having a party on such a night as your father’s ultimate breakdown was lost on you. Maybe it was her attempt to save face with the likeminded women she surrounded herself with, or perhaps it was all a show to try and keep up the image of having everything together.
Regardless of your mother’s attempts, you had heard the rumours. You heard the millings of an act of vengeance that was well on it’s way toward your father. Your father had indicted someone’s rage, he had inflicted a powerful enemy upon himself. And there was no doubt over whether there would be losses, rather it was a matter of when.
Your father was stirring allies, hence the party that was being thrown to gain sympathy and reinforce loyalty. There were already storm clouds brewing, casting shadows upon every crevice and corner of this world your father had created. The power, wealth and profits he had incurred through a steel woven web of criminality was about to be tested.
As for you, and your perch, no one coming to the estate dressed in tailoured suits, had drawn your interest. You had seen them all before, the associates and lieutenants of your father’s empiric forces, and they had all saw you at one time or another.
Your father was genuinely accosted by the idea of you being involved in the blood staining activities of the mafia he heralded. However, that didn’t mean you were completely withdrawn from the source of income and money—you were involved by familial association if nothing else.
Still, you watched. You observed. And of the men and women arriving, there was yet to be someone who was unfamiliar by some merit.
It wasn’t until the grandfather clock had struck in the hall, the deep chiming reminding you of the hour you were supposed to be ready by, that someone new had arrived.
With you still nestled on the observation perch you'd made for yourself, your eyes were quick to observe someone new. The vehicle that had stopped near the curb of the estate was nothing out of the ordinary, it had reflected the same generic taste of the other men who drove imported vehicles.
What had stood out to you was the fact that it was a rental. And that had piqued your interest in a way that had you shuffling and shifting further to get a better look at who arrived. Your eyes were fixated on the rear passenger door as a man got out and stood beside the sleek onyx black door.
There he had stood with an air of power and danger that you could feel even from where you were hidden, observing. The sheer size of him would put most men to shame, with an undetermined yet estimated height of 6’4”.
It wasn't just the height of the man who had stood beside the sleek imported car, it was the size of him. The broad width of his shoulders that were hidden beneath a crisp tailoured suit jacket—the material likely hiding just how large and imposing he was.
You stared, openly, at this behemoth of a man who was standing tall and strong. Broad, tall, strong, with what looked like deep brown eyes and cropped short brown hair.
He was observing just as much as you were, almost stoically so as if he had been turned to stone. Eventually, and after mere seconds, he had slipped his hand into the left pocket of his pants and removed a cigarette. The end was perched between his lips, remaining unlit as he mumbled something to someone you couldn’t yet see.
You were curious, more than you’d like to admit, and watched him. The person he was speaking to had come to stand next to him, rendering another strike of curiosity.
The man next to him was almost as equally as broad with a kind of stockiness that made you wonder what the hell was in the water they drank. However unlike the first beast you saw, the second one wasn’t wearing a traditional suit—he was wearing a suit jacket with a kilt.
Just as you were tempted to break your silence and question them, the 6’4” behemoth had turned his head and stared at you. His dark brown eyes were fixated upon you, as if searching the depths of your soul. You were left breathless, caught like a mouse between a cat’s claws, and unable to move.
Not only had he seen you there, he knew you were watching him the entire time. He knew you were observing him, and he was aware you were there on your balcony that served as a perch.
Your breath had become hitched, painful in your chest, as he lit up the cigarette and took a hit, his eyes flashing and a smirk playing on his lips.
*********************
You down the glass of champagne that you'd swiped from the waiter and ditch the glass to the side. As you set the empty glass down you feel a set of eyes on you that burn into you from across the semi-crowded ballroom. There was an atmosphere that remained upbeat despite the whispers of something nefarious on the horizon. The party was in full motion, your mother was mingling and socializing to keep up the front that everything was fine.
Your father, however, had taken himself and his closest friends and lieutenants for a conversation behind a multitude of doors. You weren’t a fool; you weren’t involved in the bloody dealings of your father, but you also had enough sense to know something was coming. There was a nefarious threat that was incoming, a product of the hit your father had placed on an enemy.
A disaster that had set in motion this unseen yet building threat. And it had brought together your father’s best allies, and potential future partners that would protect him.
As the party had seemed to roll out, you were observant of the people here. There was no shortage of money being thrown around and drinks were flowing. A river of alcohol and tables for gambling were out of sight in the smoking rooms. If anyone had looked in on the party being held tonight they would’ve thought nothing was amiss.
But you knew better.
Your instincts told you better.
Just as you’d seen old faces and familiar at that, the surfacing of someone, or someone’s, new was telling.
A quick scope around the bar had brought you within earshot of the new additions—the two men who were larger than most you’d ever seen before. Your ears were pricked toward their mulled conversation that was barely audible over the sound of the party. But what has struck you most was the obvious accents from the UK—both bold and thick.
“Y/N L/N,” His thick and raspy voice breathed your name as he craned his neck. His poignant and intense gaze has found you from a few few feet down the bar, “the little bird that likes to watch.”
You were right, your submissions over the colour of his eyes were undoubtedly accurate. His eyes were deep and intense, brown that was broken up with occasional flecks of a kind of honey or gold. Though there were lighter pieces to his irises, there were inky. The colours reminded you of the depths of darkness that you’d once been afraid of as a child.
Beautiful, intense and deep.
“How do you know my name?” You were immediately on the defensive, your tone accusatory and edging along suspicion. Although you could have surmised that he knew your name because of your father, but most people knew you as “the daughter” and not much else.
“Make it my business to know people,” he centred his gaze on you again, only breaking it to look at the man behind him, “especially a little starling like you. Perched high above the world watching the predators circle.”
You felt people brushing past you as they left, the bar getting emptier than before. Your eyes had also moved past him toward the other man. Unlike this beast standing in front of you, the other’s eyes were undeniably light.
Crystalline and blue, strikingly bold for an entirely different reason. He had seemed less threatening than the other, however the blood cracked under his nails would tell you otherwise.
“What’s it to you?” You couldn’t curtail your annoyance, this emboldened edge that made your hands clench and your teeth grit. Why has he set you off so much, why had he so easily gotten under your skin?
He lifted a cigarette to his lips, that same smirk quirked at his mouth. He clearly didn’t give a shit about smoking in front of you, in the middle of a crowd. He’d even gone as far as to stub the cigarette against the bar top, the smell hitting your nose with a pungency.
“You’re the little princess your ole dad is worried about.“ His reply had only made you more agitated and vexed.
After a while of being in this world, regardless of physically being involved, you grew to know people. Your father’s associates and their faces were burned into your mind, and this bastard was all knew.
“Who the hell are you?” Your voice rises in pitch, your eyes narrowing with contention as your gaze shifts from him to his friend. “I’ve never seen you before.”
“We’re being called in to solve a problem, lass.” A Scottish accent and a quirk of an eyebrow in your direction had done little to add to your knowledge. “With a little birdie-“
“Don’t.” You slammed your hand against the bar top, your expression becoming harder as your gaze has become a glare. “Call me that.”
“Little poppet’s getting upset? How cute-“ His accent was gruff, his voice husky and you desired nothing more than to strike that stupid smirk off his face. “Didn’t your ole dad tell you? We’re here for you.”
“Bullshit-“ a hand rests on your shoulder, a face you recognize as one of your dad’s trusted captain’s steals your attention.
“You’re needed in the study.” The mafia captain of your father’s pulls you away from the bar, and you follow without question.
But when you take another look over your shoulder, both the Brit and the Scot are gone.

I’ve been a radfem for a fairly long time now, and one of my favorite parts of this community is how understanding we are of one another’s experiences as women. It’s something that I’ve realized I take for granted a bit. Where I live, talking about men’s oppression of women makes most people bored or angry, no matter which political party they’re affiliated with. And I bet it’s the same for most, if not all, parts of the world. But here, women aren’t accused of lying or being overdramatic about our experiences with misogyny. It’s difficult to find spaces like this anywhere else but online, so it makes me appreciate that we have this kind of a space for us at all. I think of how, just less than a century ago, plenty of women spent their whole lives having never gotten the chance to be in a community of likeminded women. They could only dream of something like this, which has now become a reality for so many of us. Even now, not all women can freely or safely access these spaces. That, coupled with the recent surge in misogyny we’ve seen happening worldwide, makes it easy to lose faith and succumb to defeatism. But the fact that we can gather here and discuss our issues with each other diligently and openly—something that couldn’t be easily done for generations—reinstates my belief that someday, slowly but surely, all women will finally be free to prosper and thrive and live the way we deserve.

Merle Defossé for @awkwardwhims's Yearn for Fern
she / her insider / gloomy / bro
After wanting to do something meaningful for her whole life, Merle enrolled to uni in Britechester to study art history - only to find out that she didn't even like painting that much. With blood, sweat and tears she struggled through university and eventually graduated, along with a massive burn-out. Afterwards she returned to her home in Tartosa to lick her wounds, and to convince herself that she hadn't just wasted years for nothing.
Yoga was like a saving lifeline for Merle, who was struggling to find neither meaning nor passion in her life. She had always been a gloomy kid, prone to mulling over things and only seeing the negative things in life. She found some good friends to have weekly wellness gatherings which really made her realize just how much she enjoyed spending time with likeminded people. But unfortunately, as life goes, all her friends moved to different places or simply fell out of touch with, so now Merle is once again trying to connect with new people to get herself a new inner circle.
As for what comes to romance... Merle doesn't have much experience with serious dating. During her university years she used to be quite a heartbreaker as she used hooking up as her coping mechanism to stress. But that too started to feel very empty after she returned home, so taking part in a challenge like this felt like something worth trying!
total lesbian
has a yoga club called Inner Piece, hopes she can recruit likeminded people to join her
has been trying out photography lately since she misses making art, but painting is just not for her
loves funny and idealistic sims and discussing about people's passions, but doesn't like too spirited people as they tire her
hates gossiping, can't understand why people can't be straight with each other

Very specific question, but do you (or anyone else) know of how to get rid of that nagging feeling of sharing everything you create?
I'm a writer, both in the fanfic sense and of my own stories. I'm also proship, but nobody I care about knows that fact due to be so severely anti to the point of me mentioning the discourse (to test the waters) gets a blatant "proshippers aren't human beings and should kill themselves".
I really want to write a small fic about a problematic ship (young child x older person) that I don't even actually like! I don't ship it, though I don't care if other people do. But I'm fascinated by the idea of it, the possible dynamic, because it's very popular in the proshipper circle of the fandom and it's been nagging at me. The problem is that I write and then want to share it. Writing for myself feels.... Wrong, almost? But I cannot share it with my loved ones. I had previously already suggested writing a similar idea to a very close friend and he was severely disgusted by it, asked me if I was genuinely considering writing it and I had to very quickly play it off as a joke.
And I know the next suggestion will be the proshipper side of the fandom, but sharing my work online for others I don't know to see makes me personally uncomfortable, which is a major shame.
(I'm not even going to touch the fact that your "loved ones" think people like you should kill themselves.)
But. A good way is to treat them like an assessment opportunity. Make a copy of each piece and use something like Google Documents to annotate and evaluate what you've written. Move all of the originals into a secondary folder.
Not only will this help improve your writing in the long run, but it somewhat changes the intent of the literature from something written to, at its core, be shared, into a personal resource.
There's also the option of making new friends. You don't have to go out and gather people up like a squirrel with a winter store, but even just one likeminded person whom you can get to know well enough to feel comfortable sharing your work can help sate that need to share and engage with someone about what you create. You can send your content to them privately, then, rather than uploading it for the masses.
But. I would just gently like to say that perhaps its not the need to share that you need to reflect on and try to negate. If you have to ask how to stifle yourself so that your loved ones don't think of you as inhuman meat that needs to be slaughtered, perhaps you're asking the wrong questions.

Ya know, something I hear a lot of Katsuki Stans claim is that supposedly antis don’t have jobs and that we have tons of free time. It’s something that the Stans would shout when I first started this blog and it was something many people told that person who exposed Dekacchan on Twitter. Now, it’s true that some people really have nothing else to do but hate, but most of the time, it’s not the case.
I’m going to start off with some lore about me. Despite what some of you think, I’m actually quite the busy person. I’m in charge of raising my puppy, and for those of you who have had one, as much as you love them, y’all can agree with me that it’s a lot of work.
“So what? That’s not a job…” some of you might say, and you’d be correct. However, I do have a job, and that job’s taking care of my grandmother. My grandmother’s turning 80. She not only has arthritis, but she’s also got pancreatic cancer. I’ve got to help her bathe, exercise, make food for her, etc. It is a job that I’m getting paid for. The times I’m on this blog is when she’s napping or on the days I have off (Saturdays and Sundays). That’s one of the few breaks I have. Sure, you can say I post a lot, but some of those responses sit in my drafts for like a day or so. This is one of those posts. There are also times where my responses are short, which takes little to no time to respond to. Combine taking care of my grandmother and my puppy and I’ve got quite the hectic schedule.
Oddly enough, you don’t hear these Stans telling their fellow Stans to get a job. Dekacchan’s on Twitter far more often than I am on this blog and she supposedly has a teaching job. If she can find the time to constantly post, then I don’t understand why the Stans try shitting on antis for having the time to run their accounts/blogs too.
In addition, some Stans wonder why people would create a blog/internet persona/etc. dedicated to hating a fictional character/piece of media, etc. Now, I can’t speak for everyone, but there’s three reasons why I created this blog. First off is to create a safe space for people who hate Katsuki to express themselves. If you say anything bad about Katsuki, chances are you’re going to get swarmed by his Stans, and I wanted to do something about that. This blog was the best thing I could think of. Secondly, it’s therapeutic. People write for therapy. It’s an easy and harmless way of processing your thoughts and venting them to likeminded people. Finally, it’s to help me gather my thoughts. See, I love superheroes and I wanna be a writer. MHA’s in my eyes a how to guide on how to fail at writing a superhero story so I study it, note what’s wrong, and come up with solutions in my head for if I ever wanna tackle similar themes in my stories. There’s a difference between shitting on something just cause and pointing out the immense flaws around a piece of work. I’m doing the latter.
Hopefully this helps with dispelling the idea that antis don’t have jobs or hate for no reason.

Circumstances of Encounter: Dola Hallowrove
Tumblr media
A list of places Hallowrove frequents and what they might be found doing there. Meant as a helpful reference for anyone looking for a premise for calling card messages or other ingame social interactions, or who wants to let me know that one would work well for me to send to them.
In-game name for social actions: Dola Hallowrove
Wolfstack Docks: Can often be found there gathering monstrous rumours and stories from zailors and dockhands, or maintaining the mechanical aspects of the Hammerhead II zubmarine. Likely to meet: Zailors, dockers, brawlers
The Medusa's Head: A favoured spot for relaxation after a long day, as well as exchanging work talk with likeminded and similarly chewed-on colleagues. (And whoever else chooses to drop in - Hallowrove is personable to a wide range of people.) Likely to meet: Menace Eradicators, Monster-Hunters, anyone else with a reason to be there
The Department of Menace Eradication: Hallowrove has no professional office, but he directs those hoping to commission him to leave a note with the front desk at the Department. He checks back semi-regularly. Likely to meet: See above + prospective monster-hunting clients
Bugsby's Marsh: Hallowrove's place of residence. She lives in a fixed-up cabin in the swamp, a 10 minute walk or so from what could be considered the city. With a little persuasion, she might be convinced to lead a guided nature tour. Likely to meet: People living nearby, tour-goers, any poor sod who got lost
The Upper River: Hallowrove's longest standing commission is with the GHR, primarily improving the stations' defenses against monsters, but finding every excuse for a wide variety of diversions along the way. Likely to meet: Rubberies, artists, railway workers, Discordant stewards, devils, anyone else riding the train
Sophia's Club: While recent attendance is spotty, can still be found on picnics or sitting in on tea meetings with the group on a quiet afternoon. Likely to meet: Monster-Hunters, fellow members of Sophia's
The Bazaar Sidestreets: A place often passed through for shopping or visiting. Likely to meet: Anyone who lives in the area, anyone who shops there
Benthic University: While Hallowrove seldom uses her own lab, she often makes stops at Benthic to deliver monstrous samples to academic friends for dissection and analysis. Her own lab work consists mainly of hobby mechanical fiddling and weapon repairs/improvements, and creation of antivenoms by trial-and-error. Likely to encounter: Correspondents, academics
Calling cards, Menace helps, teas, slights, etc. are all on the table! I have no reason to be stingy with my actions right now, so I will offer whatever helps or lessons in Dangerous I can if the need is there.

Okay okay, So if you didn't know I've got a Links Meet AU that I'm working on in the background called Exodus, Its a space themed Links Meet AU where the Skyloft is invaded and Sky (Sksw link) Has to travel across space to gather likeminded people to help him take back his planet basically.
I am very excited about it and want to talk about it more and get more people into it because it's everything I love. Space, Cool weapons, Zelda. Like just going through my notes and stuff makes me so excited.
I've got various things already made including a prologue for the main story where Sky is escaping from the D3 organisation (Led by Lord Demise.)
I've got locations, family dynamics, and a space station which I think will be the next thing I reveal and the more I work on it the more I wish I could draw with my pc because I'd love to make a comic with this but writing it is so much fun too. I've got so much planned. Space ships because space travel is cool and everything.
I've taken everything about the Zelda universe I love and thrown it into a blender with my fave things about space and sci-fi to make something that makes me excited to work and write about it.
As these links are my versions of the mainline game links it makes me so excited. I just want to scream about my boys and show them off because i love them so much and I'm so proud already of what I've got and am so excited to show more.
I've got files made for Sky /[Crimson breath of the celestial sphere] (Sksw link), Chronos (OOT/MM Link) and Skipper (HW Link). With the rest of my characters named as follows
Fen (BOTW/TOTK)
Smithy (FS/MC)
Twilight (TP Link)
Saga (LA/OOA/LTTP/OOS)
Sprite (LOZ1/LOZ2)
Tempest (WW/PH)
Crimson wave of the great expanse (The First hero)
I've taken bits from each characters game and changed them to fit in the universe. I think my favourite so far is Sky's story. He's fought the D3 organisation and won before but lost a huge part of himself in the process. Which he's had made for him. Fi is an artificial intelligence that Sky has embedded in his head as a part of this transplant.
Skyloftians have natural Wings, and so when he fought demise the first time he had his wings ripped from him. A story which I plan to work my way to at one point after I've got the main AU story off the ground with chapter 1 which is in progress rn!
I'd love to go into more detail id love to ramble about it all day. If you want me to I can! :D
I just want to hype about my bois but I know people dont follow Zelda for the space aspect haha. So I try to keep my excitement on the down low for the most part
Thank you for letting me hype about my bois
If you wanna look at it? Exodus-AU

The Fanfic Communities Network
Fanfiction being stolen or plagiarized has sadly become a common occurence nowadays.
While there might not always be something the individual can do about it, we can at least inform people about it though.
Since reliable and verified information about incidents can be hard to find on social media etc., we want to be a network for information that has been gathered, analyzed and distributed to all parties interested in the form of informative and reliable reports.
This is the Fanfic Communities Network.
The initial idea for this server came to be after the rivd.net incident, where we reached out to other fanfic servers on Discord with the information they had so that they could inform their members.
So what do we hope to achieve?
- Gather, bundle and distribute information and news trustworthily and honestly.
- Make reliable and researched information accessible for fanfic communities.
- Bring fanfic communities together by giving them a space to learn about each other and find new communities.
- Additionally, offer a space to community modmins to exchange experience, ask for help and find likeminded people.
The server has a public area that is accessible for every person who is interested. We relay information publically and transparently.
The internal part of the server is accessible on application with your fanfic community or as a modmin of a fanfic community.
You are welcome to join and follow our announcement channels in your servers, or invite your members to join so that they can spread the info and join with their communities that they might have!

It's so fascinating to me how much Arnaghad is a parallel to Lambert. Early Witcher School lore is so deeply buried across 3 or 4 separate sources of lore that it's hard to get a clear picture of any of the Grandmasters except for Erland, since we have his diary. We get told in Gwent about how Cosimo, one of the mages in charge of making the early witchers, would kidnap or buy his "test subjects":
Children keep asking him for gifts. He doesn’t know why, but it really helps with finding subjects for his experiments.
-Cosimo's Gwent card
And while the knightly values Alzur and Griphon championed did become a part of the lives of several of the young witchers, we also know of several who didn't buy into it. Namely, Arnaghad and those who followed him:
Arnaghad, some would say, was born stubborn. Insolent toward those in authority, he loathed anyone who tried to impose their will upon him, favouring autonomy above all else. This, in large, was the bedrock of why he went on to form his very own witcher school.
Not wanting to be a slave to a code he did not believe in, he gathered a handful of likeminded witchers and ventured to the Amell mountains, settling into a fortress amid the icy slopes and established the Bear School; a place where would-be witchers could be taught the practicalities of their trade, without the distraction of "honourable virtues" impeding their training.
-Arnaghad's Gwent lore entry
And reading that, knowing how those early Witchers got to the school, I can't help but empathize. If some nutcase kidnapped me and put me through torturous experiments that killed most of those going through that training, I'd be pretty damn "insolent towards authority" too.
And that's where Lambert comes in. Lambert, who doesn't get along with Vesimir because Vesimir looks back at the School of the Wolf and sees a noble order, a duty and a sense of rightness, while all Lambert experienced from being a Witcher was pain, loss, and a sense of injustice. So he argued, doesn't get along with his brothers. Stays away from Vesimir as much as he can so they don't fight. Sound familiar? But here's where Lambert and Arnaghad differ:
Once funding was pulled from the original Order of the Witchers most of the mages left, taking away the school's leadership, and the Witchers started infighting and questioning why they still held to the Order's ideals. Petty fights over contracts started to break out, despite Erland saying in his journal that monsters back then were so plentiful that there was no need to fight over contracts (this is where the Bear School's reputation for fighting other Witchers comes from).
All this culminated with Arnaghad attacking Rhys over a chort contract and, after fighting broke out between Arnaghad's supporters and the Witchers loyal to the Order, fleeing to make their own school. That's the final element that separates Lambert. Because the Bear school is described as being very akin to how Lambert acts.
Bear students were discouraged from making friends because "we pass through life alone". In other words, Witchers don't work together on most contracts, so to prepare their students for the Path, the Bears never wanted them to rely on something in training that wouldn't be there in practice. Instead of justifying the death and suffering of their students like other schools, they make it "a reminder of the dangers of their trade" leaving it's dead students on their frozen training path. Instead of telling them what they go through for destiny, or duty, they tell them the more callous, and sadly realistic for their brutal profession: "more pain now, less pain later."
I often say the Bears are the 'Lambert school' because the Bears were more realistic about the cruelty of Witcher life, and that resulted in a school full of Lamberts. But the difference is that the last thing Lambert wants, is more people like him. They saw there was a problem with Witcher life and thought the solution was to be more frank and up front about those problems rather than fix them.

I’m kind of surprised you started dating a lot more and are open to Islam recently, you’re one of the reasons I stopped entirely, which neither is a wrong thing to do. It’s kind of hard to do it alone but I just prioritized friendships in the time I’ve been following you. Which actually is closer to 10 years now I think, definitely since way before the pandemic. Anyway it’s just been on my mind to send this ask for a while now, you seem so successful that when I get to be where you are I know I’ll be even less interested in marriage and dating, but I guess that’s also a plus for you since you said you want kids. Good luck with it all, It’s great you were able to reconcile yourself and Islam, I’ve never felt like religion could be fulfilling, especially when you have views on gender and politics that go again the core tenants of a patriarchal religion. But I can see how the immediate community has its appeal and people are judged overly harshly when they don’t conform to societal and gender expectations of be a woman/man then have a partner/kids, and it’s not like there aren’t other good things too. Anyway I’m glad I followed you when I did because I got a new perspective and it made me more of a brave, accountable person, I’m not really afraid of being lonely and I can take accountability for my wrongs too, knowing that socialization is so deep I need to think about why and what I’m doing. You a few other people impacted me so deeply when I was 16 and trying to leave my parents home
wow this is a very sweet message. But almost makes feel scared that i had an impact on impressionable young teens I dont think my views on Islam have changed, certainly not as much as my view on dating. I still have the same criticisms of sunni jurisprudence. I think i just have less of exposure to that community now as i did back in the day, and it just use to rile me up. I was just angry, justifiably so, and wanting to dismiss everything - and it showed up in the tone of my writing.
I mean i still can't go around muslim events saying the things i actually believe. Sunni jurisprudence is undeniably patriarchal. But so long as they aren't like getting very preachy, doing halaqas and sermons on how to oppress women, im okay. In my uni days, MSAs were actually doing exactly that. That's why i was so critical. But i see now this type of thing seems to be dying down, atleast in my area. i dont find religion fulfilling but i do find likeminded people fulfilling. I still associate more with like academic type folks who either research religion, anthropology, write critiques. I went to a party full of marxists the other day. I didnt agree with everyone there. But i suppose, its discussion that's fulfilling. And sometimes muslim community and gathering can be very dismissive and not receptive to discussion. Which is a shame because in the islamic golden age, that's all they were doing.
i was honestly planning to be alone, and my plan was to solo adopt a kid if i wanted a child. I felt this way all the way up until like summer of 2022. then something did change. and i didn't want to be alone. if you had asked the 2013-2022 version of me, i would have balked at the thought of me wanting a partner. I was almost proud of it. Proud of being a single unattached woman with no men in her life. I suppose the only thing I can say now is that it's very hard to predict how and what you will feel and want at some point in the future. I was certain that I wouldn't want companionship and kids. Half my blog was dedicated to it. And that is kind of scary. I actually wrote about this on my blog back in the fall of 2022. It scared me how much something had shifted so suddenly, something that was a such long held state. If that could change, what else could change?
At your age, i would say prioritize career first ofc/financial freedom etc. If you dont have that, you wont feel ready for anything else. And ofc keep expanding your friend circle and forming connections through local activities or travel.
