Hi Hi!!
This is my first time asking on Tumblr, and your blog is probably the only one I was super drawn to. I love all of your art and your love for Bayverse Optimus. Bayverse Optimus is my favorite iteration of the character, and I always come up with some head fanfiction about how he would act in Transformers: Prime and the IDW comics.
Is there an in-universe reason for how Bay Op got to the Transformers: Prime world? This whole AU could be a great fanfiction if someone wrote it (not me, though). I also wondered how Bay Optimus would react if Prime Optimus hugged him straight up.
Hi Hi!
First ask… that’s pretty special! Thank you! I love that you enjoy my little corner of the fandom so much!! And you pose a really good question. So, as far as I puzzled it out, the ‘jump’ from the Bay! Universe to the Prime! Universe would have happened with some fuckery with a relic from one of the origional 13 Primes- Vector Prime. The guy was a demention and time hopper and in ‘Solus Prime’ fashion, would have left something behind that contained some of his power. Optimus gets ahold of it, and with his Prime-y power activates it, so another one of ‘him’ gets ripped out of his own universe and brought into TFP. I didn’t really know if I wanted a scientist of sorts to have tried to replicate Vector’s technological artifacts he may have left behind, or it just be Vector’s object itself though. Following the scientist’s route, the machine would have been powered with energy pods that would have to have been tracked down for multiple uses. The energy pod it would have been preloaded with would be used on-contact, and then the story would be kind of framed around Team Prime trying to find more (and prehaps Bay! cutting a deal with Megatron to use his resourses to get home but IDK).
As for the hug? The both neeeeeeed one for sure, but neither would ask. IF tackled with one Bay! Would probably try to unlatch immediately like a cat in a bathtub. A horrible case really. Tfp, if he would do it, would have to approach Bay! as though it was HIS idea, and if it worked it would probably be the epitome of the meme “What’s this? Affection? Pathetic… but do it again.”

Honestly we could REALLY get into the fact that a lot of the insanity in Acotar is an excellent exercise in why you can't really separate the art from the author.
Sjm's zionism is OBVIOUS in the text. The ic destabilize governments to the detriment of people they will never have to care for, steal artifacts from other countries, displace people, cause invasions, commit war crimes for 50 years "for the greater good" all while their own people are living under unchecked brutality and poverty.
They are rich megalomaniacs that care for no one but themselves and their own emotional and material satisfaction and they are PRAISED for it. In fact anyone who even remotely disagrees with the IC is almost always one of the villains in the story (Beron, Tamlin, etc) as if to condition the reader that asking questions that are critical of the IC puts you on the wrong side of the narrative morally.
All of that sounds REALLL familiar huh?

Some more Viper dialogue from the game, this one is first meeting as a Mourn Watcher.
Neve (gloomily): Minrathous. The Heart of Tevinter. Somehow the beat of it always pulls me back... A steady pulse of secrets, corruption, you name it. Trust no one, expect the worst, and you might just get by.
Rook: Do the Shadow Dragons know we're here?
Tarquin (cheerfully curious): Neve Gallus. You only turn up when you want news. Or you've got some.
Neve: Tarquin. (surprised) You look well.
Tarquin: Appearances can be deceiving.
Neve: Sounds like a story.
Tarquin (matter-of-factly): Just living ungifted in a world made for mages.
The Viper jumps down from a nearby roof into the conversation, says absolutely nothing like the dramatic motherf*cker he is.
Neve (amused): Rook. Meet the Viper.
Rook (ignoring the strange entry politely): It's good to meet you. Both of you.
The Viper (politely, still acting like he didn’t just jump off the f*cking roof): And you.
Tarquin (also making no mention of his husband's shenanigans): So why the meeting? Is this about your work with Varric?
Rook (grimly truthful): Something terrible got loose when we disrupted Solas's ritual. A pair of elven gods.
Tarquin (startled): Gods?
Neve (darkly): They blighted a village in Arlathan. D'Meta's Crossing.
The Viper: There are Venatori whispers about that place. Now we know why.
Neve (quietly worried): What's been happening in the city?
The Viper: Underground sacrifices, dangerous relics flooding the black market the cult's gathering power.
Rook (grimly humorous): You'd think people would reconsider their choices after surviving a city-wide demon attack.
Tarquin: The cult hasn't changed. They want control of Tevinter and a return to the old ways. And if an ancient power promises just that... damn it. We were tracking a set of red lyrium relics before you got here. Smuggled in recently.
The Viper: They enhance blood magic—and can summon demons far too easily. We destroyed one, and tore another off a slaver.
Tarquin: We think the third's right here in Dock Town.
Neve (instantly): Dock Town's my home. If it's got problems and I'm here - I can track this faster than anyone in the city.
Rook: Hold on. I'm happy to help.
Neve (politely dismissive): It's fine. I can catch up with you.
Rook (politely insistent): We don't know where the gods are, or what they're doing. We're here for help. It's fair I give some in return.
The Viper: The relics don't play nice with the Veil, and they resonate with each other. We destroyed the lyrium in the last one we found, but it should still track the third.
Neve (seriously): Give it to me. I'll get it done.
Tarquin: We'll keep eyes on the Venatori. If there's a tie to these elven gods, we'll find it.

An unasked for continuation of Togami and Mondo arguing at McDonald’s.
I don’t know why I felt the need to continue this. I just did. The masters program I’m in is killing me I think.

absolutely love this weird luck or instinct that zoro has, that even if he gets completely lost, or is going in the wrong direction, he ends up where he needs to be (*cough*and usually close to luffy)
in the sabaody archipelago arc, this was really my favorite subplot, of just zoro being lost (enjoying his walk in a completely new place where he can't attack anyone who hurts him or others, and can't draw too much attention to him) but ending up at the place they all were moving towards:
they docked the ship at grove 41 and decide to meet there after finding what they needed to find.
zoro decides to go for a walk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and all he has to remember is the grove's number. easy enough, right? well...
Tumblr media
because something in their universe really wants him to end up at a different place, so he sees only #1 instead #41.
later when camie gets kidnapped and then after some time the rest of the strawhats, who are scattered around the island, know the information that she would be at grove #1, zoro still doesn't know that - he just knows he needs to get to grove #1 bc he thinks that's where their ship is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
they're all just separately hurrying to the location, while zoro's asking for directions and then searching for the wrong (right) grove.
Tumblr media
and ofc the person that he meets first from their crew is luffy, flying on the fish, about to wreck into the building
(i saw the anime version too, but i really like the fast pace of this part in the manga)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's just so funny that luffy and zoro met before this building, the grove #1, and luffy yelled at zoro to hold on and they both crashed inside.
zoro still not knowing why he isn't at the place where the sunny should be, but at a completely different location - but still a location that he needed to be at, at the right time right place with this whole crew (and just before things get much worse).

What do you think Mario and Peach would argue about?
Honestly, I'm of the opinion that the only things they would outright fight about is one another's well-beings. They're both self-sacrificing people who will give absolutely everything to ensure the safety and prosperity of those they love, even after they've completely expended themselves. Usually those similar flaws mesh surprisingly well, and they're able to balance out their unhealthier tendencies in this way and keep each other grounded.
And other times - very rarely, but sometimes - they both drive themselves into the ground and fall back on those unhealthy habits before that balance has a chance to take hold, simultaneously exhausting themselves trying to tend to one another and being frustrated because "Why are you overworking yourself? That's my job! Sit down and let me take care of you!" And that, as you can imagine, can be infuriating.
In the most severe cases, they'll realize that they're not going to reach an amicable closure any time soon and separate to sulk for a little while. But even then, the animosity rarely lasts longer than a few hours; where sheer stubbornness might drag it out, sincere love and good intentions ensure they make peace and vow to talk it out just as quickly as the initial falling-out took place. And nine times out of ten, they're back in each other's arms nuzzling noses and showering each other in sugary sweet words of love by night's end.
And the one out of ten times they aren't? Well, they'll either isolate themselves for the night or seek out company and a listening ear (usually Luigi for Mario and Toadette and Daisy for Peach). But knowing they parted on such bad terms kills them both, and so they'll either set out at dawn to make amends... or just sneak out in the middle of the night because they can't wait a second longer. Nothing that they fight about is more important than their love for one another. They'd sooner die than let the other think that anything can come between them.

An interesting story idea that's been floating around in my head from playing Fields of Mistria is the idea of someone that has a rough job full of stress and drama suddenly calling it quits and moving to the country side to become a farmer. And at first, everything is great. Their neighbors are nice. Everyone in the town gets along.
But the more time they spend there, the more... eerie it gets. Like everything is perfect. Everything. Their crops grow perfectly. Their animals never get sick. There is no drama within the town. And as much as it is eerie, it's also... boring in a way. Nothing new happens. Nothing ever changes. Things keep going as they should. Everybody continues on with their perfect little lives as if they never faced a day of trouble within their life.
And the when you sit down and really think about it.... You realize. You're fundamentally different from these people. From this little world they created. You're from the real world. You've faced and are aware of real world problems. Your life isn't perfect, even if the tiny world around you is. You're still mentally ill. You still have family problems. Your friends from out of town have their dramas.
And, in a way, you find yourself longing for what you left behind. At least that world felt real. At least your actions had real weight to them. At least you knew how to navigate the world.
And that's all I got.

So I made a symbiote sona :3
Because why not!
Tumblr media
After seeing @anisecandy 's insanely pretty symbisona I was inspired to make my own! I kinda started out with the concepts "spiky" and "feral" and went nuts from there. And yes of course it glows in the dark! It even has a rave mode:
