Crossing my fingers for a future Hazbin Hotel musical number where Husk and Angel, in separate conversations with different characters, sing a duet vehemently deny any romantic feelings for each other whatsoever - but also bringing up all the things they love about one another
I just think it’d make for a fun scene and a good song 😁

Yandere team minato
It sometimes just breaks my heart whilst thinking about what would have been if nothing would have ever happened to this team. Minato is a platonic Yandere in here!
Tw: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, possessiveness, obsessiveness, stalking, manipulation, delusions, paranoia, threatening, blackmailing, violence, mentions of death, killing
Yandere Team Minato
📖🔥🟪⚡️To clarify things a bit, this is an AU where Rin and Kakashi managed to save Obito just in time, though one eye of his now belongs to Kakashi. And those two also managed to save Rin and obviously Minato and Kushina are still alive as well. Basic knowledge would also be that the darling themselves was together with those three as a student in the Academy, probably someone they were really close too. At the very least I can picture them being really close with Rin and since Obito often hangs around Rin, he became most likely over time a good friend of them as well.
📖🔥🟪⚡️So Rin and Obito are the ones who fall in love at first with their darling. Despite being assigned to different teams, both make an effort to still keep in contact and meet up whenever they have the time. This is how Kakashi ends up tagging along somehow as well and is “forcefully” pushed to become a good acquaintance of yours. He most likely remembers the darling from back when they were still classmates, but he might have just never shared such a close bond with them like Rin and Obito did. Not like he doesn’t get his ears talked off due to Obito, who simply can’t shut up about them. Rin is a bit better, but she talks quite often about you as well and once those two start a conversation about you, it’ll go on for a while.
📖🔥🟪⚡️If we had to pinpoint it down whether it was Obito or Rin who grew romantic interest, I’d say that it is probably Rin since Obito was very much attached to the girl back in the days, he still is though. Noticed that she liked you back then and for that really envied you and was jealous of you, pretending to not like you. But for Rin’s sake he got along since he didn’t want to upset her. You might just be in for supporting him and acknowledging him as well which ends up flattering him a lot. Kind of in denial when he first realized that he had started growing emotions for you as well since he is a loyal guy and felt like he would betray Rin like this.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Just imagine that Rin might have noticed way back then that she wasn’t the only one in love with the darling since Obito just happened to be very obvious. She wasn’t really angry though, more a bit surprised. But she might have just seen this somewhat coming with how supportive and kind the darling is to the Uchiha and constantly cheers him up. She’s also the one to approach Obito about this and it’s going to be awkward for the poor guy who doesn’t know what to do. But luckily Rin takes charge and offers to share since she doesn’t wish to lose her friendship with Obito because of a love fight. You would be so upset over it too since you see them as really good friends as well. That’s how those two start working as a team and Obito is glad about this solution.
📖🔥🟪⚡️No way Kakashi and Minato won’t notice what is going on behind the curtains. Rin is the better on in hiding it, but Obito can’t quite do that. He is clingy, obsessive, very delusional and after the incident where he was nearly crushed he just happens to grow more possessive, protective and paranoid. Rin isn’t quite like that, though she has her more obsessive and somewhat lovesick moments as well. A worried sensei and slightly weirded out fellow teammate is the result of this.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Kakashi has a more cold impression on the darling since he surely met them during the time where he was living strictly after the rules of the shinobi. Honestly just thinks that the whole infatuation thing is ridiculous and keeps Rin and especially Obito from concentrating properly. Didn’t really like you for this all either, especially if you remained obvious. It ended in Obito being about to fight him more than just once and Rin and Minato both had to interfere every single time. Rin isn’t happy with the way Kakashi clearly shows his dislike for you either, she’s sad and upset and tries to talk with him about it on numerous occasions. Even Minato feels like his students cold and harsh behavior around you and the way he tends to talk like you keep his teammates from doing their work are too much.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Apologizes later on after he has found to his old ideals and rules again and starts becoming friends with you as well. Rin is happy about this new development after she was worried him and the darling would never be on good terms. Obito…you probably know how he is. I mean, he felt like beating Kakashi up for being so mean to you in the past so now that this has stopped he is of course happy as well. But seeing the jonin growing so close to you isn’t something he wants to see and after nearly having lost his life, he has grown to be more paranoid and easily jealous. So he starts throwing hands on numerous and ridiculous situations.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Kakashi needs the longest to gain feelings, but I would say that watching his friends and hearing both of them talking so highly about you plays a huge part in his obsession. Thanks to them he just comes to notice a lot of good and really adorable traits the s/o possesses and he actually feels like he owes them quite a bit for having been so rude to them in the past so he grows to be more protective additional to the pain of having lost his dad. Kakashi is quite aware so he knows that his feelings are not normal just as much as he knows Rin’s and Obito’s aren’t either. Also has picked up through observation that both of them seem to share and he does not wish to distance himself from them after all they have went through. He’ll have to confess eventually as well before Rin, quite the smart girl herself, picks up the signs as well.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Obito Uchiha does not approve of this and neven if Rin holds him physically back, he’ll most likely shout his head off at first and curse Kakashi. He gets better along with him now and views him as a friend, but sharing the darling with him now as well is still something completely different. He knows that the s/o is one of the loveliest people on this planet, but why him?! Doesn’t want to admit it, but he fears you’ll fall hard for the charm of the copy ninja since he knows Kakashi is a very cool guy. A bit unexpected for Rin as well, but just like all those years back with Obito, she doesn’t want to break the bond all of them share and so the idea of sharing is brought up once again. Exactly what Kakashi wanted to suggest as well, even if he is more possessive as well. Obito is more dense, but with enough convincing from Rin’s and Kakashi’s side, he’ll eventually agree begrudgingly.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Minato might just start seeing the darling at one point like a precious student of his own since they tag incredibly often along with his pupils and at one point he just starts teaching them as well. He’s somewhat warily over the situation they’re in, though he at least has come to realize that Rin is the one to make sure the boys don’t act out of line. His students at least seem to be happy with you after all they have went through and he starts talking to you at one point as well very often. Gets tainted at one point due to the others feelings a bit as well, though more in a older brotherly or teacher-fashioned way. In comparison to Rin, Kakashi and Obito, he doesn’t spend that much time with you, but he is watching the one or another way over you. He entrusts his students to protect you.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Rin is, as mentioned, really just the peacemaker between the grey-haired man and the black-haired man. Those two often just bicker over such petty things and whether Obito’s unbelievable jealousy including everything above and under the sky or Kakashi’s snarky remarks meant to annoy the Uchiha are to blame doesn’t matter. Both will get in either case a thorough scolding from her. Let’s just say from those three she puts in the most effort to guarantee that things stay normal, meaning no kidnapping and murdering and she is also the one who will handle the whole “we-all-are-in-love-with-you” speech, though Kakashi and Obito interrupt her to add something of their own as well. Hearing it from Obito and Rin might not even surprise the s/o, but Kakashi might come as a bit of a shock.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Rin gives the darling even time to think this through, hoping for the best. Kakashi and Obito are not quite that patient and Obito fears a rejection the most, Kakashi has his initial doubts as well. Rin tries to see things from the more bright side though and hopefully nothing goes wrong. Because Rin won’t be able to hold her teammates back from using sabotage and blackmailing.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Funnily we have a bit from everything in here. Obito as the heavenly delusional Yandere who justifies every action for your safety, Kakashi who is aware yet will kill if someone is considered in his eye a threat and Rin who is semi-aware. She somewhat refuses to believe that her feelings could ever harm the s/o yet she is the most harmless one. And Minato, who mostly watches from the back and guarantees that you don’t get pushed into a tight spot with those three. He’s probably also be up to help his team pushing the darling a bit more into their direction if they should hesitate and make sure no one finds out about his team nor him. If it would be needed, he’ll also lend a hand in finding a solution how to keep this relationship a secret at first, though I imagine Kakashi, Rin and Obito coming up with a temporary solution of their own.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Yes, this relationship will be kept a secret at first until a good plan has been made up so no one will have too disapproving reactions. Seeing all four of you together is not a strange thing anymore and quite honestly, there are villagers who have at least picked up on Obito’s and Rin’s romantic feelings and with Kakashi there might just be already rumors. So it is for anyone just a question who will be it in the end, though most can’t and won’t imagine those three ever breaking apart because of their love for you.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Poor Rin has her hands sometimes really full whenever she catches Obito and Kakashi bonding over their pervy side or having to play the bridge between them once again when they’re about to throw hands over something. Quite honestly, those two constantly get on the nerves of each other in one way or another since they get jealous of each other. They do it on purpose though, Obito just smothering the s/o whilst Kakashi has to do something else or Kakashi letting his possessive touches roam over the darling’s body whilst Obito is watching. Rin strangely never seems to attract jealousy that much nor does she get jealous either, she’ll just let out an exhausted sigh whenever she sees it. Rin is just the most innocent out of the whole team, likes cute and nice dates and checks a lot on whether the s/o is comfortable or not.
📖🔥🟪⚡️Messing with their darling is a bad idea because with Obito, Kakashi and even the Hokage himself stepping in if needed the opponent is in for personal hell. Rin isn’t someone who is really violent and as someone duty medic knowledge if it would come down to it, she’d always choose attending to your wounds and pain instead of fighting. She wouldn’t even really get the chance with those two overprotective men on her team. Because they’re fast to avenge their darling. It’s thanks to Rin that the body count is at least under control.

“I think I have a crush on someone.”
Jean crosses his arms and makes it a point to huff even louder than before so that you can accurately assess his annoyance at moment; going so far as to slump back into your not so comfortable couch to really sell it.
“And that is why you manhandled me all the way to your apartment on a Tuesday afternoon?” he asks, voice flat and eyes hooded.
You groan and roll your eyes. Jean’s eyebrows are pinched together with more judgement than confusion at your current state of distress when you sit next to him on the sofa, a knee bent in his direction.
“Jeanie, I don’t think you’re understanding the severity of my issue.”
“You’re right, I’m not,” he drawls, “But, please, do enlighten me. It’s not like I have an essay to write or anything.”
“I have a crush,” you reiterate, hands mapping out every syllable in your sentence, “On someone who is not my boyfriend.”
“I see,” he nods, but his voice remains flat, “And, pray tell, what exactly is my role in all of this?”
“You’re supposed to use your philosophical psychoanalytical bullshit to tell me what’s wrong with me and how to fix it.”
“Philosophy and psychology are two different disciplines.”
“They sound the same to me.”
“That’s because you’re a single-celled chem major.”
“I think it takes more than a single cell to study chem.”
“Oh, is that what they tell you guys, now?”
“You’re not fucking helping.”
“Yes, I am,” he tuts, “It’s called talk therapy.”
“It sounds like you’re just taking shots at me.”
“Best friend talk therapy allows for a few digs here and there.”
“Jean,” you pinch his arm. He flinches, and yelps loudly, immediately raising the affected arm to counter with a flick to the center of your forehead. You glare, the palm of your left hand covering the sting on your skin, but concede, “Well played.”
“Thank you,” he nods, “I learned from the best.”
“Okay, now that you’ve gotten your ego boost for the day, can we worry about my problem, please.”
He shrugs, crossing resting his left ankle atop his right knee, “Sure.”
“Thank you.”
“What exactly is the problem, again?”
You sigh, and lean your head on Jean’s shoulder, “I have a boyfriend—”
“We’ve been over that.”
“—and the person I have a crush on is not my boyfriend.”
“Okay,” he pauses, “Are you going to do anything about this crush?”
“Well, I… no,” you ponder, “I don’t think so.”
“Okay,” he repeats, “So, then why are you so worked up about it?”
“Because!... Because… I don’t know, it’s… wrong? I’m in a relationship with someone else—isn’t this, like, emotional cheating?”
“Maybe,” he says, “I don’t know a whole lot about relationship psychology.”
“Come on, Jean.”
He sighs, “I’m serious, I don’t know, (_____).”
You whine, sounds muffled by the fabric of Jean’s sweater where your cheek lay pressed against his shoulder. “I’m a horrible person, aren’t I?”
“You’re not, stop it,” Jean answers firmly, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, “You’re not horrible for having emotions that are difficult to work through.”
“Okay, then, I’m just a horrible girlfriend.”
“Maybe.”
“Jean.”
“Sorry,” he winces, patting your head for extra encouragement. It’s meant to be comforting, but it makes you feel like a patronized six-year-old, at best. It’s quiet for a while, with you mulling over Jean’s words, and him trying to pull you into the worst side hug in all of existence.
“Do you think,” you break the silence, “Maybe I should I break up with him?”
“Yes,” his answer comes too quickly, and much too enthusiastically.
You lift your head from his shoulder, unamused, but Jean doesn’t even try to hide the glimmer of hope in his eyes.
“You’re just saying that because you don’t like him.”
“No,” he pauses when he catches glimpse of the disbelief on your face, “Okay, yes, I don’t like him. At all.”
“Jean—”
“But maybe this is your subconscious telling you that you don’t like him either, and that you should, instead, go after your crush.”
“Oh, so now you want to use your psychobullshit on me?”
“If it means I don’t have to pretend to like Colt anymore, then yes,” he replies, a stupid, shit-eating grin on his lips.
You scoff, arms crossed against your chest, “You don’t even pretend to like him now.”
Jean shrugs, “I pretend to like him to his face.”
“No, you don’t,” you insist, “You’re probably the worst at it, in fact.”
“I’m not worse than Connie.”
“You called him an asshole. To his face.”
“Connie poured tequila on him.”
“Connie was drunk. You were completely sober.”
“Connie would have done it sober and you know it.”
You open your mouth to refuse, but the words fall silent in your throat. Connie probably would have done it sober. “Okay, fine, whatever, you don’t like him,” you wave away the subject, “Do you really think this crush is my subconscious telling me to break up with him, though? I mean—it’s just, crushes are kind of fleeting right?”
“Sure, but—”
“What if I break up with him, and then I get over my crush, and realize I made a mistake.”
“Then you learn and grow, and find a new crush.”
“I’m being serious.”
“So am I,” he insists, “You’re beating yourself up pretty bad over this mystery guy—”
“—It could be a girl.”
“Is it a girl? Oh, is it Mikasa? Are you still hung up over her—you know I’m sure she’d make out with you asked. I think you both could relieve a lot of tension that way, actually.”
“You’re the worst person to walk this planet, you know that?” you sneer, annoyed by the smug grin on Jean’s face. So what if you had a tiny crush on Mikasa? Most people did, Jean included.
“Look,” Jean continues, “You and I both know you’re not a cheater, but you and I also know you’re just like Eren when it comes to things like this.”
“Just like Eren?”
“Falls too fast, too hard,” he clarifies, “I get the feeling you’ve had these feelings for a while, and that they’re not fleeting.”
You pout, and Jean knows that he’s right. “Okay, so say I do break up with Colt—”
“Which you should do, regardless.”
“—If we break up, then what? I still won’t know what to do with my left over grief. It’s not like I can just... go ask this guy out right away.”
“Yes, you can,” Jean presses, “In fact, you should.”
“No, I can’t,” you insist.
“Why not?”
“Well for one, I’ll look like a heartless whore.”
“You’re not a heartless whore for asking a guy out.”
“I am if I do it right after breaking up with my boyfriend.”
“Your internalized misogyny is showing,” he sing-songs, “Come on, you’re not a whore for doing what you want with a guy, you know that.”
“Okay, fine, not a whore, whatever,” you roll your eyes, “But I still couldn’t ask him out.”
“It’s the twenty first century, just because you’re a girl doesn’t mean you can’t ask him—”
“Not because of that, dumb goose,” you glare, “I meant because—it’s, well, it’d be really sudden and kind of… awkward?”
“It’s not like he’d know you just broke up with someone, unless that’s one of your conversation starters.”
You sigh, a hand on your forehead. “Yes, he would, Jean.”
“How could he possibly—oh.”
“Yeah, oh,” you mock, a heavy sigh leaving your chest as you resume your previous sulking position, head leaning against his shoulder with your right cheek squished against his sweater.
“(_____), I’m honored, but you’re not really my type. I’d be willing to help you get over him though.”
“It’s not you, you fucking long-necked pigeon, it’s Arm—,” you cut yourself short, hands clamped over your own mouth.
“Oh my god!” Jean all but screams, propelling his body away from you with just enough distance to extend his arm, finger pointing directly at your chest, “You like Armin!”
“Shut up!”
“You have a crush on Armin!”
“Shut up, Jean!”
“You have a big, fat crush on Armin!”
“Shut up! I said shut up, you pasty fucking giraffe looking ass bitch!”
“Oh my—okay, you have to break up with Colt, immediately,” Jean rushes, “I can’t believe this—if you think Armin wouldn’t go out with you, then you really do have the intelligence of a single celled organism.”
“What in the ever loving fuck are you talking about.”
“We’re talking about the same Armin, right? Armin Arlert, about this tall,” Jean raises his hand significantly lower than Armin’s actual height, “Studies astrophysics, follows you around like a lap dog—”
“He does not,” you scoff.
Jean guffaws, “Didn’t he take you on a tour of, like… the NASA museum for your birthday? With the super high-tech planetarium that people die to get into?”
“Actually, it was their headquarters, but it’s only because he gets special privileges for being an intern.”
“Didn’t he name a star after you?”
“Anyone can name a star after anyone,” you roll your eyes, “It’s really not that hard.”
“People do not fucking go to NASA and ask for stars for just anyone!” Jean screeches, hands flailing wildly.
“Armin does!”
“Yeah, for you!” Jean emphasizes, “Come on, do you think if anybody else called him right now and asked him to get a star in their name, or even just fucking take them to headquarters of the most renowned space organization in the country, that he would actually do it?”
“I mean, maybe, if like… Eren asked.”
Jean opens his mouth to refute, but freezes half way with a head-tilt and pursed lips. “Okay, yeah, maybe—whatever, doesn’t matter. What matters is that you need to tell him.”
“I don’t need to tell him shit.”
“You’re seriously choosing Colt over Armin? Who willingly stays with some greasy prick with the world’s most annoying younger brother, over a handsome, straight-A astrophysics student with a penchant for marine biology, and, like, really clear skin.”
“Oh, wow. I didn’t know Bertholdt was studying astro.”
“I wasn’t talking about Bertholdt.”
“It sounded like you were talking about Bertholdt.”
“I mean, Bertholdt’s got great skin, but it’s no where near as clear as Armin’s. He glows.”
It’s quiet again, as you eye Jean with a raised brow that’s all too familiar. “Are we sure that you’re not the one with the crush on Armin?”
“Shut up, you’re avoiding the point.”
“What’s the point, exactly?”
“That you’re in love with Armin, who is miles better than your current boy toy, so you should ask him out immediately.”
“I have a boyfriend, not a boy toy.”
“Ah ha!” he yells, “You didn’t deny that you’re in love with him—oh my god, you’re in love with Armin!”
He’s standing now, practically bouncing off the the walls at the revelation. You take to smacking him with the nearest pillow. “I’m not in love with him! I just—just really like him, okay!”
“Very convincing.”
“Shut the hell up, you’ve been pining after you know who for seven eons at this point.”
“You bitch,” he growls, “We’re not supposed to bring him up.”
“Well, you keep bringing up Armin!”
“We never established that Armin was on the list of he’s who shall not be named.”
“Well I vote that he should be.”
“Your vote has been vetoed,” he grins, “Look, I’m completely serious when I say that Armin is just as in love with you as you deny you are with him.”
“That sentence hurt my head,” you pout, resuming your signature brooding position.
“It’s okay, your single brain cell has been through a lot in the past fifteen minutes,” he pats your head again, earning him a glare that he simply chuckles at, “All it means is that you love Armin, and I assure you that he’s equally, if not more, in love with you.”
“You really think so?”
“I know so. Now, up, up, up,” he tuts, pulling at your biceps until you’re standing, only to immediately start ushering you to the door, “You have a shitty boyfriend to go break up with.”
“What—Jean, come on, I didn’t mean right now!” you exclaim; but he’s stronger than he looks, and continues to propel your body out of the open door.
“No time to waste!” he insists, “Every hour you stay with Colt you lose another brain cell.”
“I thought I only had one to begin with,” you say, sarcasm evident in your tone.
It makes Jean’s grin triple, “Exactly, so go, not another hour to waste!”
“Jean, wait, I—,” you begin, only to be silenced by the silver door shutting in your face. The lock clicks soon after, and it’s only then you realized what he’s done.
“You knobby kneed bitch, this is my apartment!”

Pairing: Taeyong x reader | mentions of Seulgi x Irene | mentions of Johnny x almost everybody
Themes: smut | fluff | dance!au
Word count: 14.8k
Summary: Taeyong and Seulgi participate in a nationwide dance competition. However, due to unfortunate scheduling, she has to drop out of it, suggesting you, out of all people, fill in. Taeyong isn't pleased with how things manage to fall out of place, but he is in no position to be whiny about it. For him, it's either learn to work with you or lose yet another time to his arch-enemy.
Warnings: a moderate amount of fluff | Johnny flirting with everybody in plain sight | Johnny stalks people out on social media | cursing | Doyoung being a huge dick | Doyoung flexing his hips | reader has inappropriate thoughts about Taeil | Taeyong being very demanding dance teacher | stressfull situations | drinking | reader is kind of bratty and Taeyong finds it really frustrating | frustrated/angry making out | as per smut | oral!female receiving | unprotected sex (never try it at home or else Imma tell your parents) | they kinda fuck in the open and kinda check our their refection in the mirror |
A/N it's my entry for song association event, I hope you like it, and also don't forget to check out other entries ^^ they must be all out by now lol
“Are you ready?” Johnny inquired as he set his fourth coffee of the day on his desk and plopped onto the swivel chair in a cubicle next to mine. It was a really long day at work, and we both had trouble sitting through the end of it. Heaving a deep sigh, I looked at the pile of documents that required my attention, groaning before I sprawled across my workspace.
“I thought it’s canceled tonight,” I spoke as I looked at my wristwatch, wincing when I realized there was still one more hour until Johnny and I could finally clock out.
A few months ago, our lovely firm, instead of giving us a well-deserved raise, had decided to provide us with a variety of extra activities. Though I’d rather get some monetary benefits, together with Johnny, we chose dance classes. Our company was paying for it, so we might’ve as well attended.
Ever since then, every Thursday, we would go to a dance class to sweat out all of the pent-up frustration. I didn’t have plenty of expectations, still bitter after the company’s decision, but the dance class turned out amazing. Seulgi was our teacher, and although she was a bit demanding, she was patient enough to teach us some sick moves. If that didn’t scream talent™, I had no idea what did.
“Well… last week, she said she might be absent today, but I got a text from school that someone will fill in,” Johnny spoke matter-of-factly. I sighed, checking my phone, reading the same text message from the studio. I really didn’t have energy for dance classes, but there was no way Johnny would let me skip.
“Do you want to grab a drink after? I think I need one, or a few,” I proposed as I sat back in my chair, trying to let my eyes rest from the computer’s screen.
“Does a bear shit in the woods?” Johnny asked rhetorically, smiling at me as if I just read his mind. It was almost Friday at this point, and we deserved a little treat.
Though it felt like an eternity, the clock finally struck 5 p.m., letting us leave our claustrophobic cubicles. Tomorrow we would come back for another dose of torture, but right now, we were free. Only for a few hours, though.
Quickly, I returned home to get my gym bag. Thankfully, I lived within walking distance from both – my office and the dance studio, so it wasn’t as troublesome to commute as it was for Johnny, who got stuck in traffic almost every day.
A few minutes before the dance class, I was already changed into my gym attire, waiting for Johnny. Though no one was texting me, I stared at my phone, furiously typing away. Moon Taeil, also known as my secret crush, was leaning against the wall on the other side of the corridor, and I tried every single trick my mind could come up with not to look desperate.
“At this point, he must think you hate him,” Johnny commented as he conjured in front of me out of nowhere. “You should hit on him instead of trying to bolt every time he approaches you,” he added, and I rolled my eyes at his yet another one shitty advice.
“Can you remind me why I don’t take dating advice from you?”
“Why are you attacking me? I just wanted to help. There’s no need to get so aggressive,” Johnny defended his case, not really answering my question. Johnny was a self-proclaimed love expert, but to me, he was more of a pathological playboy. Either way, he seemed to understand the secrets of flirtation to pick up girls whenever he set his mind to it.
“I am just trying not to be obvious,” I commented, stealing a glance at Taeil. It was a silly crush, and though Johnny encouraged me to go for it, I never decided to act on my feelings. Taeil probably didn’t feel this way about me, so remaining idle actually saved me embarrassment after an inevitable rejection.
“Speaking of which, I figured out why Seulgi is so resistant to my charms,” Johnny announced proudly, and I raised my eyebrow, waiting for the big reveal. Everybody in our group knew that Johnny was attracted to Seulgi, but every time he tried to approach her, she would brush him off.
“By figured out, you mean you stalked her, right?” I commented when Johnny handed me his phone, showing me Seulgi’s profile. According to what Johnny dug out in social media, Seulgi was getting married to Irene – her girlfriend of five years. “Huh,” I mused as I gave him back his phone, trying not to laugh at him. Seulgi was already madly in love with someone else, no wonder she could resist his charm.
“Call it whatever you want,” Johnny started, putting his phone away. “Just don’t hold me down when FBI finally recruits me for my impeccable detective skills,” he argued, and I laughed as I imagined him leaving our lovely company. That would be a shame; I couldn’t imagine anyone else sitting in the cubicle next to mine.
“The room should be open,” someone hollered, mentioning for us to open the doors and get inside. I had seen him a few times around the school, so I deduced he must’ve been our substitute teacher today.
Once everybody took their spot on the dance floor, the man cleared his throat. “Hello everybody, my name is Taeyong. Together with Seulgi, we run this school, and I hope we will have a lot of fun today with new choreography,” he announced politely with a practiced professionalism. Perhaps Taeyong didn’t seem as cool as Seulgi, but we had to give him a chance to prove us wrong.
Taeyong was intimidating. I wouldn’t want to be left alone with him. When he showed us a few moves, he was immensely focused on delivering one hundred percent. It was impressive and admirable, but at the same, Taeyong gave off a scary fierce aura. Though he was a great dancer and teacher, Seulgi was just better.
“I think I have a heart attack,” I panted, gasping for air. The new choreography required lots of jumping, and I didn’t expect so much cardio today. I wasn’t out of shape; however, after dancing to Taeyong’s choreography, I had some doubts.
“We should’ve skipped,” Johnny commented, bending over with his palms on his knees, supporting his huge body. Taeyong’s dance routine was too much for us, and we weren’t the only people struggling to breathe. Thankfully, next week Seulgi would be back.

“You’re not gonna believe this,” Johnny announced, craning his neck to look inside my cubicle. Heaving a sigh, I put my pen down, giving him my full attention.
This better be good.
“What is it? Who are you stalking this time?” I inquired, giving him the attitude. Johnny was spending too much time on his phone during working hours, but I couldn’t really frown upon it because I often caught myself doing the same thing.
“First of all, I thought we agreed to call it researching, not stalking,” Johnny clarified, and I rolled my eyes. “And second of all, it’s Seulgi. She and the other guy from the dance studio qualified for some dance competition. Check this out,” Johnny explained, handing me his phone.
Seulgi and Taeyong rocked the stage. Though I had nothing to compare their performance to, they just oozed charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. Without any shred of doubt, they would make it to the grand finale.
“Wow,” I mused, not sure how to appropriately respond. I was happy for their success; after all, their performance was broadcasted during prime time on national television. At this point, Seulgi and Taeyong were celebrities.
“I can’t wait for today’s class,” Johnny added in excitement, hiding his phone away inside the pocket of his jacket. “I have to congratulate her.”
“Them. You have to congratulate them,” I corrected Johnny as he seemed to forget about Seulgi’s dance partner. It wasn’t a solo competition, so both Seulgi and Taeyong deserved praise. “And as if you’ve forgotten, Seulgi is not and will never be interested in you. You gotta let this one go, man,” I added, hoping Johnny would stop his relentless flirting with Seulgi. Though it was funny at the beginning, it was evident Seulgi would appreciate it if he stopped.
“I am all over her. Trust me,” Johnny reassured me, and I let out a shallow sigh, wanting to believe him. “Do you know Wendy from the HR department? I think I’m gonna ask her out. I am all over Seulgi,” he added, and it actually convinced me. Although Johnny didn’t seek anything serious at this point in his life, and when something didn’t go according to his plan, he would shake it off and forget all about it.
“Ok, I believe you,” I said, giving him a genuine smile. “Oh, and I was thinking… how about some beer and chicken after dance classes today? I’ve been craving them the whole day,” I offered, and Johnny enthusiastically nodded. It did sound like a solid plan.
Thankfully, this week Seulgi was back, and everybody appreciated it. Taeyong was a great teacher, but we were a group of beginners, and it was difficult for us to follow his routine. We just weren’t ready for such complex choreography.
Everybody had so much fun today. At first, we practiced some old routines, working on synchronization. Later on, Seulgi taught us a few new moves, which I recognized from her television performance. Admittedly, they weren’t as difficult as they looked. Maybe it was a little bold of me, but I was thinking I was doing a pretty good job today.
At the very end of the class, Johnny delivered a dramatic congratulatory speech, making people laugh out of utter cringe. It was a nice gesture, and Seulgi’s embarrassment was adorable. She would cover her blushed cheeks and turn around, hoping the ground could swallow her up. In all honesty, it seemed to be the only way to shut up Johnny.
Just when we were about to be dismissed, I heard someone calling my name. Surprisingly, it was Seulgi. She must’ve wanted to discuss something with me. Damn it, was she going to scold me for not improving? Or was it because I sat half of the song out? I just needed a short break; I had no idea it would get me in trouble.
“I am sorry,” I apologized even though I wasn’t sure what for yet. Seulgi would enlighten me in a second, so I cleared my throat to apologize to her once again. However, when she giggled instead of yelling at me, I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
“I’ll wait for you outside,” Johnny hollered before he strolled out of the practice room.
“Am I in trouble?” I asked, and Seulgi smiled, shaking her head.
Great, it was a relief.
“Actually, I may sound crazy to you,” she started, fidgeting a little. It was strange, Seulgi was a strong and confident woman, but right now, she seemed rather bashful. “Would you like to participate in a dance competition?”
Her question took me aback.
“What?” I asked, trying to wrap my head around the topic.
“Let me explain,” she offered, and I reluctantly nodded.
By the look on her face, I could tell it wasn’t going to be a quick chit-chat. Seulgi had a lot of things to explain, so we decided to sit on the floor before she began her speech.
Patiently, I listened to everything she wanted to tell me.
Seulgi and Taeyong wanted to participate in a dance competition ever since they had decided to open up a dance school together. Last week they really thought they were going to achieve their dream. Unfortunately, as soon as they qualified and received the schedule, complications started to follow.
Maybe it was a little bit overconfident of them to think they’d make it to the finals, but it still made them anxious. Regardless of their talent, they wouldn’t be able to perform in the grand finale. Apparently, on the very same day, Seulgi was getting married.
At first, I wanted to interject that they could reschedule, but Seulgi beat me to it.
“It would be the third time we reschedule it, and I just can’t let that happen. I don’t want Irene to think I prioritize dancing over her. She means the world to me, and I’d quit a thousand times to get married to her,” Seulgi confessed, and I tried my best to contain my feels. There was something raw and pure about Seulgi’s love, and it moved me.
Seulgi’s proposition was genius in its simplicity. Together with Taeyong, she would perform, climbing up the rankings. And if by any chance, they would make it to the final round; she wanted me to fill in. Given I had been dancing at their studio for about four months I couldn’t comprehend why she chose me.
I was a rookie, for crying out loud!
Finding a substitute dancer made a lot of sense, actually. Instead of dropping out, they could find a replacement. This way, Taeyong could still make his dream come true. And next year, together with Seulgi, they could try to defend the title.
However, once again, Seulgi read my mind and answered my question before I voiced my doubts. She must’ve really thought this through before approaching me. It seemed she had rehearsed all possible inquires and came up with perfect answers.
“All of our dancer friends either compete against us or failed during qualifications,” she declared, and I hummed in response. “Unfortunately, people who already attempted joining can’t fill in for other dancers.”
“That sucks,” I commented, and Seulgi dryly chuckled.
“I think you would be a perfect fit,” she started, and I held my breath, wanting to hear what made her think I’d be able to rise to the challenge. “Everybody can memorize moves, but you have a natural passion for dancing. I can see it in class. Maybe you can’t see it yet because dancing is a hobby to you more than anything else, but I can tell you have the it™ factor.”
I was speechless. Seulgi, the dance prodigy, was praising my dancing skills. I couldn’t believe my ears. What kind of self-indulgent dream was it? Why couldn’t I dream like a normal person? I had tendency to toot my own horn sometimes, but it was just too much.
“I bet with proper training, you and Taeyong could win.”
“Let me think about it, okay?”
“Sure, of course! No pressure!” Seulgi replied enthusiastically, giving me enough space to clear my mind and think about it.
“See you next week.” I waved at her, exiting the dance room. Absentmindedly, I changed out of the gym clothes and walked out of the building, almost walking past Johnny.
“Hey, what did Seulgi want?” Johnny asked, grabbing my wrist, pulling me out of trance.
“She wants me to dance in her place if she and Taeyong ever make it to the finals.”
“What?!”
***
At first, I was hesitant about this whole thing. I wasn’t a professional dancer, and I really didn’t want to contribute to them losing the competition. However, Seulgi really made a point that they would have to drop out anyway, so in some twisted way, my participation gave them a slimmer of hope for victory.
Once I explained everything to Johnny, he really insisted I should help them out, spitting nonsense about fame and recognition and how I couldn’t doubt myself and just go with the flow. Opportunities like this rarely occurred, and I ought to welcome them with excitement.
So I did.
Every Saturday and Sunday, I dropped by the dance studio for practice. Taeyong still intimidated me, but I could deal with it. Seulgi was always around me to nag him whenever he demanded too much from me. They balanced each other very well, and it was fun working with them. Even though each practice left me with sore muscled, I was still excited. It was tangible proof I was improving.
Seulgi and Taeyong smoothly went through the contest, winning each battle with ease, slowly climbing in the ranking. There was still plenty of work until the grand finale, but everything looked they were to make it to the very top.
Unfortunately, the closer to the D-day, the less time Seulgi had to help us during practice. With her wedding coming up, she had a lot of preparations to deal with. As a result, Taeyong and I had to practice the dance routine on our own.
“No, you’re doing it all wrong,” Taeyong yelled in irritation when for the nth time, I turned to my right instead of my left. “Do it again; five, six, seven, eight,” he added, playing the song from the very beginning.
To say I was frustrated was an understatement of the century. I was aware that Taeyong really wanted to win the competition, but he didn’t have to be a dick about it. With no Seulgi to supervise him, he was unbearable.
“I think I need a break,” I declared once I turned to the wrong side again before Taeyong managed to scold me for it. Even though he shouted something again, I ignored it. With a deep sigh, I walked over to my gym bag to get my water bottle.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Taeyong asked, staring down at me with his arms folded across his chest, his demeanor dominant. His eyes were drilling holes in my head, his jaw was tightened – it was evident I was driving him up the wall. It was just a matter of seconds before Taeyong would snap, lashing out at me.
“I am taking a break,” I answered quickly, ignoring his angry stare. I was at my limit. If Taeyong didn’t back off, it would be the end of the practice for today. One more mean word and I’d storm out of the studio. I was here voluntarily. I was doing him a favor, and I didn’t deserve this type of treatment.
“Is it a joke to you?” Taeyong carried on, and I rolled my eyes. Of course, it wasn’t a joke to me. But at the same time, I was sick and tired of his shenanigans. I wanted him to win, but not when my mental health was on the line. He was pissing me off, and I wouldn’t let him walk all over me. “I thought you decided to help us out, but you’re not trying at all.”
He did not just say that.
“What?” I rhetorically asked, standing up, poking his chest with my forefinger. “I am trying my best here. You’re the one who makes it impossible to have fun dancing. You’re making it a chore, sucking all the fun out it.”
“Then tell me what I should do for you to finally make some progress? We’ve been stuck at this part for two weeks, and you still haven’t learned how to turn right!”
“Then go ahead and find someone else who can put up with your shit. I’m out,” I spoke, bending down to pick up my stuff, ready to leave the studio. Unfortunately, before I managed to exit the practice room, the doors opened, and Seulgi walked in with a confused expression on her face.
“Hey, what’s going on here?” She asked in worry, trying to put two and two together. It wouldn’t be the first time Taeyong and I argued, but it seemed to be the most intense one so far. It didn’t sit right with her. “Please don’t tell me you fought again.”
Briefly, I summarized what happened, and Seulgi looked down at Taeyong disapprovingly. I was glad Seulgi took my side; after all, she knew Taeyong could be too demanding.
“I am a dancer, but why does it feel I am a couple counselor? You two really have to learn how to work together when I’m not around,” she scolded us, making her point. If this whole arrangement was to work out, we both needed to establish some ground rules and learn how to put our differences aside. “I have an idea.”
Oh, no.
There was something mischievous in her tone, and I didn’t particularly like it.
“Let’s finish for today,” she proposed, and I smiled, thinking it was a great idea. Taeyong and I needed some time to chill, and calling it a day seemed like an appropriate way to do it. “Let’s go out clubbing instead!” Seulgi added cheerfully, clapping her hands in excitement.
“What?” Taeyong and I asked in unison, a bit surprised by Seulgi’s statement.
“That’s my prescription for the two of you,” she started, and I rolled my eyes. Taeyong and I didn’t get along as well as she wished for us to, but it wasn’t that bad. We didn’t need to bond over a few drinks in a crowded club. We would do just fine if Taeyong learned to go easy on me. “I believe we all can benefit from clubbing.”
“How come?”
“First of all, it will remind Taeyong that dancing is about fun, not overworking oneself,” Seulgi spoke, and I hummed, agreeing with her. “Second of all, it’ll give you a chance to loosen up. Your moves are still a bit stiff during intimate parts of the choreography,” she added, and Taeyong nodded in agreement. “And I really need something to drink because wedding planning is stressful as fuck.”
Not even thirty minutes later, we were inside the club.
“It’s a very sensual song. And you two really have to work hard to convey emotions through your dance,” Seulgi started as she sipped her tropical cocktail. “You must feel comfortable around each other and just ooze longing and sexual attraction,” she added, and I almost choked on my drink.
Performing with Taeyong was going to be more difficult than I had anticipated. When Seulgi and Taeyong showed me the choreography, I was amazed. Absolutely blown away. The way their bodies moved in synchronization left me speechless, but at the same time, I was a little bit nervous because I didn’t see myself living up to their level.
I wouldn’t consider myself particularly sexy. It made me feel awkward when I thought how seductive the dance routine actually was. I wasn’t sure I could pull this off, but Taeyong still had a lot of time to teach me.
“Take her to the dance floor,” Seulgi elbowed Taeyong, almost spilling his drink. Unenthusiastically, Taeyong looked at me before standing up and extending his arm.
Drunken people were jumping around us to the rhythm, and I awkwardly swayed from side to side, staring at Taeyong. With godlike precision, he moved, getting lost in the music. One could tell straight away Taeyong was a professional dancer.
Upon noticing how stiff I was, Taeyong shook his head, yanking me against his lean body. “How about you take a five-minute break to get that stick out of your ass? You look like you have no joints,” he yelled into my ear, his breath tickling my sensitive skin.
“I’ve had too little alcohol,” I replied, but Taeyong wasn’t having it.
“When we perform on the stage, will you need alcohol to let loose too?” Taeyong challenged with a playful smirk, and I rolled my eyes, too prideful to admit he was right. I couldn’t participate in that competition drunk. We wouldn’t win if I wasn’t able to come out of my shell and show everybody I had a sensual bone in my body.
“No,” I yelled into Taeyong’s ear. “How do I let loose?” I asked, hoping to hear some words of wisdom from him.
“Mirror what I’m doing,” Taeyong guided, and I nodded, focused on my new task. I could do that. I had been mirroring Seulgi’s movements during our classes, and I was pretty good at doing it. I could copy Taeyong’s moves.
At first, Taeyong danced a few classic moves we usually did during our warm-up routine. It was easy, and I think I nailed it. Later, he wiggled his upper body, feeling the rhythm. With envy, I observed how his body executed every single move, owning it. I wish I was half as good as Taeyong. Next to him, I probably looked like a crippled kid.
Upon noticing my struggle, Taeyong began jumping around, throwing his hands in the air. He looked ridiculous, but I remained focused on my task, dancing as if I was his shadow. Our bizarre moves earned some attention from other people, but our eyes were trained on each other, slowly getting lost in our own bubble.
I was sober, and I was on my way to owning the dance floor. I couldn’t believe it was happening. Maybe Taeyong’s charisma overshadowed my poor attempts of showcasing mine; however, I was sure I made a big step in the right direction. Slowly, I was improving.
“How about we spice it up a little bit?” Taeyong shouted into my ear, and I cocked up my eyebrow, thinking what he meant by that. “Don’t be shy,” he added, yanking me against his body. Taeyong was so close I could feel his legs rub against mine. “Come on, sweetheart. Touch me, tease me, feel me up,” Taeyong snickered, getting on my nerves. Not only Taeyong was smug for no reason, but he also quoted the song, which I was slowly growing to hate.
Taeyong must’ve assumed I’d back out. Surely, he didn’t expect me to follow his instructions and actually run my hands across his chest, shoulders, and back while simultaneously swaying my hips, earning approving stares from impressed men on the dance floor. At first, he was surprised he talked me into it, but a second later, he smirked, resting his palms on my sides, slowly exploring the valley of my butt.
I had no idea I had it in me, but Taeyong helped me discover it. We were basically grinding against each other, and it somehow didn’t feel awkward at all. We were just two people having fun.
“I’m sorry I was so harsh on you,” Taeyong apologized, shouting in my ear. “I’m just stressful all the time, and I think I may sometimes take it out on you,” he added, and I looked at his face, which was dangerously close to mine.
“It’s understandable,” I replied as I wrapped my arms around Taeyong’s neck, finding it much more comfortable. Now with our bodies pressed together, it was easier to have a conversation. “I know how much you want to win this competition. I’ll try harder,” I promised, and Taeyong released a relieved chuckle.
Who would’ve thought an adult conversation would work better than shouting at each other?
“Thank you,” Taeyong spoke genuinely, and I pulled away, staring at his face. His eyes were trained on mine. No matter how many hours we had spent at the dance studio, his gaze still intimidated me sometimes.
“Ekhm, I need a break,” I said in a desperate need to break eye contact with him. The dance floor was crowded, and it was making me dizzy. I was getting dangerously hot, and it seemed like heaven to get back to our booth and finish our drinks.
“Of course, you need a break,” Taeyong teased, sending me a lopsided smirk. “It’s okay, though. We still have plenty of time to work on your stamina,” he added as he grabbed my hand, leading me out of the crowd. Carefully, we zigzagged around drunken people, trying to make it safely to Seulgi.
Unfortunately, by the bar counter, someone walked into Taeyong, almost knocking him down.
“I’m very sorry,” a man shouted, but I could sense the words weren’t genuine.
“Doyoung,” Taeyong spoke, gritting his teeth, staring at the other man. Taeyong’s grip tightened around my hand. I figured he didn’t particularly like Doyoung.
“Taeyong,” Doyoung sighed, checking Taeyong out from head to toe before his gaze shifted to me. There was something spiteful about his lingering eyes, but I couldn’t pinpoint it. For sure, there was some bad blood between two men, and I suddenly felt an urge to know more. Inquisitiveness got the best of me.
Taeyong and Doyoung kept glaring at each other almost as if it was a competition. The tension was so intense one could cut it with a knife. I cleared my throat in a poor attempt to break their stare contest, but they didn’t even acknowledge my presence.
“I saw your last performance,” Doyoung finally spoke, scoffing. “You’re getting out of it, and here I expected to kick your ass in the finale. I wouldn’t be surprised if you and your partner got eliminated next week.”
I thought I had seen Taeyong furious, but right now, I was proven wrong. The way he looked at me whenever I was a handful during our practice was nothing compared to the way he glared at Doyoung. Taeyong was scary, and I decided to not get on his wrong side ever again.
“I’d gladly kick your ass here, but I’d rather wait for the finale. You know what people say about prolonged gratification,” Taeyong talked back, and I gasped, trying to comprehend what I just heard. Taeyong was getting cocky, and it made me nervous. I was already stressed about the possibility of performing, and he just added more pressure on my shoulders.
“We’ll see about that,” Doyoung replied, focusing his scrutinizing gaze on me. “But I have to say I kinda look forward to seeing you cry again. The way I beat you the last time was spectacular.”
“Let’s go, Taeyong. Don’t waste your breath on him. He’s not worth it,” I exclaimed, pulling Taeyong’s hand, reminding him I was there the whole time. I couldn’t listen to Doyoung talk trash about Taeyong. If Taeyong wasn’t going to walk away by himself, I had to intervene and pull him aside. Doyoung was provoking him.
“And who is that?” Doyoung asked in a mocking tone, displeased by the way I looked at him. Though I didn’t know the back story, I took Taeyong’s side. At least, Taeyong didn’t try to humiliate his rival, while Doyoung had already tried a few tricks to tick Taeyong off.
“You’re right,” Taeyong said, looking at me. It was evident he was holding himself back, trying his best not to take the bait. “Let’s go,” he added, pulling me away from Doyoung.
“Who was that?” I asked as we approached our booth. Unfortunately, I didn’t get my response. Upon arrival, we noticed that Seulgi was sprawled on the table, giggling to herself.
“Is she always like this?” I inquired, concerned about how drunk Seulgi got in such a short amount of time. We were gone for thirty minutes tops, and she was barely conscious after drinking her and our drinks.
“Aww… there you are… my dear friends,” she cooed cutely, trying to attack Taeyong with cuddles. She was adorable, but it was kind of irresponsible to drink by herself when we were on the dance floor. Thankfully, nothing happened. We returned just in time to collect her and escort her home.
“I can’t believe my plan worked,” Seulgi grinned, pointing her finger at Taeyong. “You no longer have a stick up your ass,” she exclaimed at Taeyong, too drunk to realize she should be talking to me. “And look at you! You were having fun!” Seulgi yelled, extending her arms to hug me. “I am so proud of you!”
“I should take her home,” Taeyong reasoned, considering it the safest option. He could call an Uber for Seulgi or just phone her fiancée to pick her up but bringing her home himself seemed to be the most rational solution. “Will you be alright by yourself?” He inquired, and I nodded right away. It was sweet of him to look after me too. Thankfully, I barely touched my cocktail; I could get home safely on my own.
“Don’t worry about me,” I replied casually, sending him a reassuring smile. “Just make sure Seulgi makes it home safe,” I added, warming up at the way Taeyong hauled up Seulgi, carefully leading her out of the club. It made me wonder if Johnny did the same to me. Probably. He wouldn’t be that gentle, though. If anything, he’d throw me over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. Or just drag me out like a corpse.
“Give me a call once you get back home,” Taeyong demanded before we parted ways.

“You went clubbing without me?” Johnny dramatically asked after I told him everything that happened on the weekend. Despite my detailed narration, it seemed as if that was the only thing he caught on to. “How could you?”
“Relax, dude,” I rolled my eyes, shuffling around my desk, getting ready for work. It was Monday morning – it was about time we start our gossip routine.
“And I was wondering… would you mind helping me researching this shady dude? There’s some conflict between him and Taeyong. And I need to know what happened,” I started, wondering if Johnny would cooperate with me and put his stalking abilities to good use.
I was too embarrassed to ask Taeyong about Doyoung. Besides, I had a hunch he would either brush me off or scold me.
“Do you know anything about this dude besides his name?” Johnny pulled out his phone, no questions asked. “Please, don’t tell me that’s the only thing you know.”
“I mean… he’s probably a dancer,” I added with a sheepish smile, making Johnny heave a deep sigh. “He must be a big deal, though. Apparently, Taeyong lost a competition to him.”
“I’ll try to find some dirt, but it may be difficult given how little info you gave me,” Johnny declared as he began his thorough research.
It took Johnny five minutes to find the correct Doyoung. It was remarkable. If it wasn’t enough for the FBI to hire him, I’d gladly present them a recommendation letter. Quickly, I opened Doyoung’s profile on my phone, scrolling through his feed.
At first glance, Doyoung seemed to be a regular bratty internet star with an overgrown ego. His follower count was impressive. Studying his profile, I learned a lot about him. Unfortunately, it had no value. There was nothing specific about his conflict with Taeyong.
“How was your date with Wendy?” I asked Johnny as I gave up on my research. Whatever was the root of their bad blood would have to remain a mystery.
“It was fine,” Johnny started, but I could tell he wasn’t entirely honest. His disappointed tone betrayed him. “She left before the waiter brought the dessert. Apparently, she didn’t particularly like when I kept calling her Wanda.”
“Ouch.”
“No hard feelings, though,” Johnny shrugged it off, trying to focus on the positive aspect of their terrible date. “At least, I’ve had two slices of cheesecake. Besides, I’m kind of into Sooyoung from the creative team now. I think she is the one.”
“Every girl you’re into is the one,” I interjected, rolling my eyes, done with his antics.
“Oh, by the way, I’ve forgotten,” Johnny chimed in, staring at me in excitement. “Taeil asked me about you,” he revealed, and I almost spat out my morning coffee.
“What?”
“Are you still into him, though?” Johnny inquired, rubbing his temple in deep thought. “I haven’t heard you gush about him these days,” he pinpointed, and I wondered if my crush on Taeil was still as intense as it was a few months ago.
Taeil was insanely hot. I kept drooling whenever I saw him operate the printer. It was inappropriate to check him out whenever he bent down to change the ink, but I couldn’t help myself. Or whenever we met by the vending machine.
Good old times.
Right now, though, I rarely caught myself thinking about him. At first, I thought it was due to a hectic schedule. I was either at work or at the dance studio or getting shit-faced with Johnny on another wild adventure with him and his friends.
It was difficult to comprehend how easily my crush faded into thin air. Taeil was still sexy as fuck, but while I appreciate his looks, I wasn’t daydreaming how to get into his pants. At this point, I was just admiring his attributes in the most nonsexual way imaginable.
Apparently, the lack of response on my part was everything Johnny needed to confirm his suspicion.
“So what? Are you into Taeyong now?” Johnny asked boldly, and now, I actually choked on my coffee, thinking I heard him wrong. How did he jump to that conclusion?
“What?”
“Don’t get me wrong, but it kinda looks like you’re into him,” Johnny commented, playing with a pen. “You talk about him all the time with lots of passion. I think there’s something going on between you two. Is he single?”
“I talk about him all the time because I live to complain, and recently he’s the sole reason why I gotta vent,” I defended, but Johnny didn’t seem convinced. “And I don’t know if he’s single. I don’t really care,” quickly, I rejected all accusations, but in all honesty, his words got me wondering.
Was I attracted to Taeyong?
Surely, Taeyong was ridiculously attractive. He danced well, too. Unfortunately, we didn’t click much. There was passion between us, but it wasn’t romantically stemmed. We just kept annoying each other. I wouldn’t consider it sexual. We were just getting on each other’s nerves often, unable to properly solve our differences.
“Whatever helps you sleep at night, honey,” Johnny teased, and I fought the urge to throw the stapler at him. “I bet fifty bucks you’ve imagined him naked, fucking you dumb.”
What the fuck, John???
I did not imagine Taeyong naked!
Not until now, at least.
“I seriously hate you right now,” I complained, deciding it’s about time I focus on work.
***
After Johnny had planted naughty thoughts in my mind, each dance practice was unbearable. My mind was running wild, coming up with different scenarios involving Taeyong and me in intimate situations. It was wrong on so many levels, but I couldn’t bring myself to stop.
After months of practicing the dance routine, we decided it would be best to make some changes to the choreography. Though it was still sensual as hell, with our hands roaming each other’s bodies, we found it crucial to accentuate Taeyong’s talents.
It was a strategic plan. While typically male dancers helped the female dancers shine, we put a little twist to it. Though our performance was still pretty balanced, Taeyong had a few crucial parts of choreography, in which he would snatch everybody’s hearts.
Seulgi didn’t object to our strategy. Well… she was never there, to begin with. Seulgi was a ghost, never present during our practice, always busy doing some last-minute wedding prep.
“Let’s take a five,” Taeyong hollered as he turned off the music, sending us off to a short break. It sounded weird when it came out of his mouth, but I didn’t complain. We’ve been practicing nonstop for the past hour. At this point, I was panting.
Lying down onto the floor, I rested my head on my towel, reaching for my phone. Quickly, I unlocked it to see a series of notifications from Johnny. He had sent me a link to a video, telling me in all caps to watch it.
Having left the earphones in the locker room, I played the video quietly through my phone’s speaker. It was a short film with Doyoung. It must’ve been his performance from last year’s competition. Jamming to the music, I studied his moves.
Doyoung was really good. I mean… it wasn’t professional expertise, but I could tell he had talent. His body control was impeccable, his hip thrusts must’ve impregnated plenty of women in the audience, but his shoulder rolls were just otherworldly. Along with the female dancer, they showcased quite the performance. From the beginning to the very end, I couldn’t look away, failing to notice Taeyong approach me.
“What the hell are you doing?” Taeyong shouted, tearing my phone from my hand, double-checking what I was watching. “Why are you watching this?” He angrily asked, locking the device, wishing for it to stop playing music.
It was difficult to explain.
I couldn’t exactly tell Taeyong that I asked my best friend to do research on Doyoung in hopes of finding out what was the root of their conflict. Though we had never found anything substantial, Johnny would send me more footage to check out. However, regardless of how much stuff Johnny had provided me with, I was still clueless.
“Why are you shouting at me?” I spoke, biting on my bottom lip. I was in big trouble, so it was only logical to play dumb.
Taeyong stared down at me, demanding a genuine answer. His jaw was tensed, his knuckles around my phone turned white. It was just a meaningless clip, but it got him fuming at me. Regardless of what I’d tell him, he wouldn’t like the answer. I figured this much.
“Why were you watching that?” Taeyong yelled, raising his hand, almost smashing my phone against the floor. Thankfully, he held back and gently put it on my bag.
It was incredible how much the video affected Taeyong. The movie worked on Taeyong like a red rag to a bull. One moment he seemed fine, but once he figured out what I was watching, he snapped.
“You really want to know?” I challenged as I rose to my feet, staring at him. It was my turn to raise my voice. If he kept shouting at me, I was going to give him the same treatment. “Ever since that night at the club, I was curious. You were basically throwing daggers at each other, and I really wanted to know what happened between you two. You never bothered to explain it, and I didn’t want to push you.”
“Do you have your answers now?” Taeyong exclaimed, and I rolled my eyes, agitating him even more with my fed-up behavior. He was scary right now, but I refused to let him intimidate me. “Or do you want to read my diary too?!”
I resisted the temptation of saying yes to his offering. Taeyong wasn’t the type of person to write a dairy. He was exaggerating, but I didn’t want to provoke him further. At any mention of Doyoung’s name, wrath took control over Taeyong, turning him into his destructive self.
“If it makes you feel any better, I know shit about him,” I confessed, throwing my hands in the air. “I wanted to know what he did to you, but I came up with nothing. And believe it or not, the way he treated you that night made me worry. You’re my dance partner, and I care about you a lot, and it really hurt me seeing you in distress,” I spat, not thinking about consequences. I was talking without filter, probably spilling too much information.
My verbal diarrhea confused Taeyong. His huge eyes were staring at me in astonishment. He was studying my expression, wondering if everything I said was true. Oh, no! My reckless words made him uncomfortable. He must’ve grown to hate now.
In embarrassment, I looked down at my shoes. I felt terrible, and I needed to come up with something clever to say to save my dignity and ease the tension. However, before I managed to voice my sincere apology, I felt Taeyong’s hands cup my cheeks as he surged forward and kissed my breath away. It was sudden, but I reciprocated the kiss in an instant.
Stress, anxiety, anger, sexual frustration, and probably many other factors led us to this very moment. I had been daydreaming about Taeyong’s mouth on mine for a while now. And when it finally happened, I eagerly swept my tongue across his lips, deepening the kiss. Though I had tried my best to withstand the tension between us, I wasn’t oblivious to it.
Taeyong already knew almost every inch of my body, so his hands naturally began roaming across my skin. Moaning into the kiss, he held me closer, keeping me pressed against him.
“Taeyong,” I breathed out as I pulled away, only for Taeyong to smash his lips against mine again, successfully shushing me. This time around, the kiss was even more passionate, making my knees weak. In a rush, Taeyong pushed me against the wall, pushing his thigh between my legs. “We shouldn’t,” I spoke, but my tone wasn’t convincing at all. I wasn’t even sure who I was trying to convince that it was a bad idea.
“Shut up,” Taeyong demanded as he tilted his face, sucking on my bottom lip. His hands were on my butt, kneading my flesh, trying to make me moan into his mouth. In all honesty, it worked. Maybe, I whimpered incoherent sounds, but it’s was just a poor attempt to encourage him to keep kissing me.
Regardless of how much he was to gift me, I needed more. I wasn’t going to stop until I’d take everything Taeyong was willing to give.
I craned my neck to the side, and Taeyong quickly caught on, leaving a wet trail down my neck. His lips were delicate, careful not to leave a mark, while his hips were grinding against me, letting me feel how stiff he already was.
“Legs,” Taeyong ordered, gently slapping my thigh. Obediently, I spread my legs apart, letting his hand cup my sex. It was ridiculous how horny he was making me. Once his raspy voice echoed in my ears, I fulfilled his wish, waiting for another command in excitement.
“Please,” I begged, needing more of him. Whatever he planned on doing to me, I needed it now. Whether he was to tease me with his beautiful fingers or fuck me raw with his cock, he better do it now.
“Patience, sweetheart,” he whispered against my skin, pressing feather-like kisses along my collarbone. His touch was driving me insane. His hands were everywhere but where I wanted them the most. This type of teasing should be illegal.
It was more than I could take, so I took matters into my own hands. I could play this game, too. With a mischievous smirk upon my face, I hooked my forefinger under the band of his tracksuit bottoms. Unfortunately, Taeyong quickly swept my hand away.
“You’re such a bad girl,” Taeyong commented before he captured my lips again, sliding his tongue into my mouth, knowing I’d talk back to him. “You have to do everything your way. Would it kill you if you listened to me at least once?” Taeyong muttered, staring into my eyes.
Yes, I was a brat. Taeyong wanted me to submit to him, and I would do it eventually, but not before I’d tease him first. What was fun in that?
“Don’t answer that,” he added, and I rolled my eyes. Though we barely hung out outside the dance studio, Taeyong learned a lot about me. Having an answer to everything was one of those things he had the pleasure of discovering.
“Just fuck me, please,” I said nicely, staring into his eyes, hoping it would be enough to make him cave. “I can’t take it any longer,” I added, rubbing my loins against his restrained cock, making him let out a guttural moan.
My plan was working. Slowly, Taeyong was giving in, probably taking his time to think about the consequences of letting me experience instant gratification. Orgasm would’ve been sweeter if he made me wait a bit more, but it was difficult for him to control his urges.
Without any doubt, Taeyong wanted to bury his cock inside of me as much as I wanted him to fuck me dumb. We withstood so many practices without jumping at each other – I should consider it foreplay.
“Fine, but I’m gonna eat you out first,” Taeyong spoke, and I almost lost it by just imagining his jaw going between my thighs. Swiftly, he knelt in front of me, pulling my leggings down to my ankles in one fluid motion. Having kicked off my gym shoes, I wiggled the fabric off my feet, sending it flying across the dance studio.
Taeyong ran his fingers across my panties, inspecting how soaked they already were. With a smirk upon Taeyong’s face, he pressed a chaste kiss against my skin above the waistband before he yanked the undergarment down.
“Beautiful,” he said under his breath before he surged his face, taking my clit between his gorgeous lips, making me tilt my head in pleasure. Frustration got me sensitive. Even the slightest touch got me purring in delight.
Taeyong licked and nipped at my entrance, and I run my hands through his hair, encouraging him to keep going. He flicked his tongue, and I buckled my hips, wanting more.
“I need your fingers,” I pleaded, looking down at him. Taeyong looked breathtaking, with my juices were dripping down his sharp jaw, with his lips turned into a satisfied smirk. He was proud of how he was making me feel. His glistening skin was the very evidence of his skillful moves. “Taeyong, please, I am so close.”
Though I didn’t expect him to, Taeyong listened to my humble request. His middle finger slid right it, making me purr in satisfaction. I could finally feel him inside of me, and it was heavenly. His palm moved quickly, working me up.
The first orgasm was building up. Taeyong was fucking me now with two fingers while his mouth was fiddling with my clit. If it wasn’t for Taeyong’s palm, holding me still, I’d buckle right into his face for more friction.
“I’m about to come,” I declared, shutting my eyes close. As tempting as it was to peek at the mirror on the other wall and check out the view of Taeyong eating me out, it was more than I could take. My instinct to squeeze my eyes shut and welcome the orgasm was too much.
Unfortunately, it didn’t happen.
Before tiny tingles of electricity could unite and explode, shooting through me like a lightning strike, Taeyong pulled away, denying me of my orgasm. It physically hurt when instead of a blissful peak, I felt nothing.
“What the fuck?” I barked angrily, ready to pull him by his hair against my sex and press him against me, so he could finish the job.
“We’re coming together, or we’re not coming at all,” Taeyong sternly replied, standing up. His lips were swollen from all the work he was doing, and they looked even more kissable.
“I’ve never pegged you for such a teaser,” I stated matter-of-factly, still a little bit butt-hurt over the way how smug he was about not letting me come first. Maybe I was a handful most of the time, but I didn’t do anything wrong to deserve such treatment.
“I’m not,” Taeyong chimed in, biting down on his lip. “There’s just something about you that makes me want to punish for your misbehavior,” he explained, and I got it where it came from. I wasn’t the best student he could work with. “Isn’t it the sweetest torture?” Taeyong challenged before he surged forward, smashing his lips against mine again, raising my thigh and giving it a gentle rub.
“Please, Taeyong, I need you inside of me,” I begged as I ground my sex against his rock-hard cock. I couldn’t comprehend how self-disciplined and patient he was; his budge was throbbing underneath his pants. It must’ve been painful for him, and he did all of that to teach me a lesson. “Fuck me, already.”
“Relax, sweetheart. I got you,” he softly spoke as he hoisted me up, pressing me tightly against the wall. “To be honest, I expected you to lose it sooner,” Taeyong added, and I hoped he was talking about my sanity. I endured more than enough; his teasing was too much.
“How should I fuck you?” Taeyong asked, looking around the practice room, seeking a perfect spot to stuff his cock inside of me. We didn’t have a lot of options, but I didn’t care. He could fuck me in the middle of the room, and I’d eagerly spread my legs for him. “Screw it,” he cursed, gently lowering me down onto the floor. “Do you mind?” Taeyong inquired, and I shook my head as I wrapped my legs around his hips, pressing him against me.
“Strip,” I ordered, and Taeyong smirked before he pulled his T-shirt over his head, revealing his lean physique. My eyes marveled at his beautiful shoulders and toned muscles. I had touched him more than I could count, but I never saw him bare, and when I finally did, I gawked.
“What about you, sweetheart? Come on, I am waiting,” Taeyong teased, and I took off my T-shirt. I was only in my sports bra, and Taeyong bit his lip, staring down at me, admiring my simple beauty. With no further comment, Taeyong leaned in, attacking my collarbone. It was hot how attentive he was, but right now, all I needed was his cock buried deep down my cunt.
Desperately, I reached to his sweatpants, palming his erection through the fabric. As soon as I touched him, Taeyong released a needy growl, rolling his hips into my hand, finally giving in to the pleasure. He lost his self-restraint, and now, he seriously needed to fill me up with his throbbing length.
“Take them off,” I breathed out, pulling by the hem of his pants. With a lowered head, Taeyong tsked before he yanked them down to his knees, wriggling out of them. Just as I expected, his cock urgently entailed my attention.
Though the thought of blowing him crossed my mind, I eventually decided not to entertain this idea too much. It was apparent Taeyong wanted to him inside of my pussy. I’d suck him dry on a different occasion. Hopefully, it would happen soon.
“Fuck me, Taeyong,” I moaned as I trembled when the tip of his cock brushed against my folds. I was embarrassingly sensitive after his ministrations, and he dared to tease me again. “Please,” I begged as I gave his length a few gentle strokes, aligning it with my entrance.
“Aaahh…” Taeyong growled, slowly pushing his dick inside of me. Inch by inch, he filled me up, stretching my walls. A lot of different sinful noises came out of his mouth as he began steadily thrusting his hips.
Taeyong’s stamina was no joke. It was hard to believe how long he could snap his hips without messing up his rhythm. His low voice mixed with my desperate moans echoed inside the room, creating a wicked symphony along with the sound of our sweaty bodies smashing against each other.
He was fucking me hard, and I was in seventh heaven. Taeyong was filling me up so good; I could come undone on his cock anytime.
“Taeyong,” I moaned his name as I watched him fuck me. Though it was hot to look at his cock disappear in my pussy, it was even sweeter to stare in the mirror. With my head turned to the side, I studied the whole picture how Taeyong was fucking me.
“I am coming,” I screamed as I felt the bliss approach. Taeyong was panting, struggling to maintain his tempo with the way my walls tightened around his sensitive cock. Once he hit my sweet spot, I was a goner. After a few thrusts, I came, digging my nails in his back.
“Fuck,” Taeyong cursed, shouting my name as he shot his load inside of me, collapsing on top of me. We were a breathless mess, our bodies sticking together, but neither of us minded. At this point, we were too spent to care. “You were incredible,” Taeyong whispered as he pulled out, rolling to the side.
“You weren’t that bad yourself,” I panted, giggling, still recovering from the mind-blowing orgasm. Thankfully, Taeyong didn’t pay much attention to my playful jab. “I meant it what I said,” I added, turning around to look at him.
“I’m sorry for yelling at you,” Taeyong started, staring into my eyes, showing me his sincerity. “I just can’t help myself but get angry when I see him or hear about him,” he continued, and I nodded my head, letting him know I was willing to listen.
I didn’t expect that Taeyong would agree to vent to me, but when he did, I patiently heard him out. After all, I was pretty sure we were at least friends now.
“It all happened about a year ago. We were competing in the same contest, and he made my dance partner quit. Doyoung seduced her, toyed with her, and once the trophy was his, he dumped her. Because of him, I was disqualified, and she quit dance altogether.”
Listen to his story made me both sad and angry. Doyoung had been a dick to interfere like that – he must’ve known he hadn’t stood a chance against them in a fair fight. My blood was boiling in my veins as I put all the pieces together.
Sadness took over next. The way Doyoung had manipulated Taeyong’s dance partner was upsetting. The wound had been cut so deep, she couldn’t have forced herself to keep going. Doyoung had wrecked two lives, and it made my blood boil, too.
“We’re gonna beat him. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we do,” I spoke, reassuring him. It was impossible to tend the wounds, but the least I could do is help Taeyong win. For what he had done, Doyoung deserved punishment. If I were Taeyong, I’d not hesitate to beat him up.
“I hope so,” Taeyong muttered, reaching for my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. “It’s still fine if we don’t. I’m pretty sure karma will get to him eventually,” he added with a sigh.
“I’ll work harder,” I declared, feeling an extra wave of determination wash through me. “I’ll try my best,” I said, and Taeyong smiled fondly, content to hear me say it.
“Thanks. It means a lot to me.”
For a while, we were staring at each other. It felt nice and somehow more intimate than all the fucking we had done. If we were in bed, I could do it all night. Unfortunately, we were still lying on the uncomfortable floor.
“Let’s get washed up before we get too sappy,” I added, trying to ease the tension. I really enjoyed it, but it was getting a little too much.
“I hope you don’t mind sharing the shower with me. You know… water bills are a bitch,” Taeyong spoke, and I giggled at his bullshit excuse, finding it incredibly cute, considering what we had been doing a few minutes ago.
“Of course they are,” I deadpanned, chuckling. Though his excuse was lame, I liked Taeyong enough to go with it. “Come on. Let’s go. I don’t want anyone to catch me naked.”

After that one time at the dance studio, Taeyong and I made it a regular thing. However, we kept it civilized. We wouldn’t jump each other’s bones in the open like animals like we had done the first time. Usually, we would go on small kind-of-dates, which consisted of picking up food, going to my or his place, and then rolling in the sheets.
We were having lots of fun. It was a perfect way to de-stress. After all, the finale was this Saturday, and we were nervous as hell. In all honesty, I was still scared, but these orgasms were numbing my anxiety.
“I think that’s it,” Taeyong spoke, and I smiled brightly, unable to contain my joy. It was the first time Taeyong ever approved of our performance. Most of the time, he was nitpicking, complaining about the slightest mistake, but finally, he was satisfied with it.
I was ecstatic; I never expected to live up to Taeyong’s approval. Through hard work and persistence, I managed to earn his eulogy.
“What should we do now? How about we order some food?” I asked, feeling in a celebratory mood. Maybe it was a little bit too early to drink to this small success, but it’s still worth a shot.
“We should do it again. We should dance it flawlessly at least a couple of hundred consecutive times before celebrating,” Taeyong seriously replied, and I rolled my eyes. Despite his painstaking nature, a couple of hundred times, it was a bit too much. Even for him. “Don’t give me that look. Let’s start again; five, six, seven, eight.”
Though usually, I’d complain and try to force him into a five-minute break, right now, I was oddly energized. We were dancing for the past two hours, and I was panting out of exhaustion. Nevertheless, the thoughts of finally mastering the choreography kept me going.
“I’m pretty good at this,” I confidently commented while roaming my hands across Taeyong’s shoulders before he twirled me around to the rhythm. I could tell that Taeyong was just waiting for an excuse to pause the music and scold me for making a mistake. However, much to his dismay, I executed every move impeccably. “I had a pretty good teacher,” I added, stroking his ego. The D-day was approaching, and Taeyong obviously needed an extra boost of confidence.
“I must admit you were a piece of work. I have no idea what kind of sorcery is this,” Taeyong teased, staring into my eyes. We had practiced the routine plenty of times; we could probably perform it in blindfolds and not make a single mistake. “I must be a magician or something.”
“Don’t push it,” I warned him in a very non-threatening tone, making him smirk. “But it’s only partially your success. Seulgi told me I have the it™ factor,” I proudly said, cracking Taeyong up, messing the choreography. “Is it a student-has-become-the-master kind of moment?” I asked, laughing at Taeyong. For the dance prodigy, he was getting distracted way too easily. It was suspicious.
With a broad smile upon his face, Taeyong grabbed my wrists, making me look at him.
“How about we finish up for today? I have a surprise for you,” Taeyong said, and I cocked my eyebrows, biting my bottom lip. “Not that kind of surprise,” he added, rolling his eyes at me. “We might get it on later, though.”
“What kind of surprise then?”
“Wait a second,” Taeyong spoke, quickly jogging out of the practice room. In a minute, he was back with a garment bag in his hands. “Here, that’s for you. Seulgi came in the morning to drop it off for you,” he explained, and I pulled down the zipper. It was going to be my costume for the contest, and I was curious how it looked.
I was speechless. At first, I thought it was a joke. I wouldn’t be able to perform in that. However, the more I looked at it, the more sense it made. It was a simple white suit shirt, but when mixed with a leather body harness, high-waisted shorts, and boots, it fitted the concept beautifully.
“Do you like it? I thought it was too revealing, but Seulgi insisted you would look amazing in it. I mean… it fits the mood, but if you’re not comfortable with it, we still have some time to find something else,” Taeyong blabbered, and my heart swelled. It was very sweet of him to consider my comfort above anything else.
“It’s skimpy, but it’s fine. I like it,” I replied, having no idea where my confidence was coming from. A few months ago, I’d be anxious to even try it on in the confines of my bedroom. However, now I was planning on showing a lot of skin on national television during prime hours on the weekend. I must’ve gone insane.
“Do you want to try it on?” Taeyong challenged, pulling the hangers out of the bag.
“You mean… here?!”
“Come on, it wouldn’t be the first time you took off your clothes in the middle of the practice room,” Taeyong concluded, smiling at me mischievously.
“Pass,” I firmly rejected his dare, even though it felt tempting. “It’s not fun when I’m doing it alone,” I added, and Taeyong grabbed the hem of his T-shirt, more than ready to discard his clothes in a blink of an eye. “Don’t fool around,” I warned him, placing my hand over his before he managed to take his T-shirt off.
“You’re right. Let’s go to my place first,” Taeyong agreed, zipping the bag before he grabbed my hand, leading me out of the practice room.

On the day of the performance, I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. No matter how much fantastic sex Taeyong and I had, I was not mentally prepared to perform in front of the whole nation. I felt sick, almost as if my body was telling me to quit before I’d embarrass myself on national television. Stress was eating me from the inside.
“What are you doing up so early? Let’s go back to bed,” Taeyong purred in his raspy morning voice as he sneaked his arm around my waist, pulling me against him. “You need to be rested before the performance. Trust me, you don’t want a camera to catch you yawning,” he added, nuzzling his nose in the crook of my neck, breathing hot air against my skin.
“Thanks for giving me one more thing to stress about,” I deadpanned, heaving a deep sigh, staring at the ceiling. It was a mistake. I should have never agreed to Seulgi’s proposition in the first place. What the hell was I thinking? “I think it’s a bad idea. We should quit.”
Taeyong wasn’t in the mood for my nagging so early in the morning; he was having none of it. “You’re being ridiculous. We’ve practiced so much. We’re gonna win it with ease,” he declared, pressing a featherlike kiss against my jaw. “But for real,” he added, climbing on top of me, trapping me between his thighs, “we’re going to win. And even if we don’t, it’s fine. Really, if somehow we lose to Doyoung and his partner, I’ll just punch him backstage.”
“How can you say that?” I said with a sigh, running my hands across his thighs, finding it rather calming. “I know you said we should rest, but how about…” I trailed, and Taeyong smiled before eagerly capturing my lips, reading me like an open book.
“Say no more,” Taeyong whispered before his hands traveled under my shirt.
Unfortunately, Taeyong’s phone started buzzing on the nightstand before he managed to pull my panties down. With a groan, he extended his arm, staring at the screen.
“It’s Seulgi.”
“What are you waiting for? It’s her wedding day. Pick it up,” I yelled at him as I fell on the pillow, admiring his handsome face when he was talking to Seulgi.
“Please, not you, too,” he barked, rubbing his face in annoyance. Though I barely could make out what she was saying, I figured this much Seulgi and I were suffering from the same stress-fuelled illness. It was her wedding day, after all. Even if it was obvious she loved Irene with a burning passion, she wasn’t immune to pre-wedding anxiety.
Seulgi was talking her stress away, and Taeyong just hummed and nodded his head, registering her words. For some reason, the pressure didn’t seem to bother Taeyong at all. It was weird, but at least he was the voice of reason, which could help me and Seulgi cope.
“Breath in, breath out,” Taeyong spoke when Seulgi made a pause long enough for him to interject. “I know it’s a big deal, but there’s nothing to worry about. You’re getting married to Irene. You love her so much,” Taeyong reminded her, winking at me, expecting Seulgi to end the call soon. “Everybody’s a little nervous; it’s completely normal.”
It was beautiful how close Taeyong and Seulgi were. They had each other’s backs in all types of situations.
About ten minutes later, Seulgi finally calmed down. Taeyong’s reassuring words swept the anxiety away, and she was more than ready to get married to the love of her life.
Once Seulgi hung up, Taeyong threw his phone on the bed and secured my legs around his hips before he leaned forward, giving me a quick kiss. “Seulgi says hi, by the way,” he added, sneaking his hand under the hem of my panties.
“What?”
“What do you mean what?” Taeyong looked down at me, creasing his eyebrows in confusion.
“She knows?” I yelled, unable to comprehend how, on Earth, Seulgi figured out I was in Taeyong’s bed. She couldn’t know. She wasn’t even there when our romance bloomed. “How?”
“Yeah, is it a bad thing, though? You didn’t want to fuck me in secret, did you?” Taeyong challenged, not really answering my inquiry. Did Seulgi figure it out on her own? Or did Taeyong told her about us? And, the biggest question mark was: what were we to begin with? “Seulgi must have some sort of sixth sense. She was bothering me about the sexual tension between us since day one of your training.”
“I wouldn’t call it sexual tension per se, but there was something going on,” I replied, reminiscing how rocky our beginning was. “But I think we were interrupted…” I reminded him, and Taeyong with a playful smirk on his face dived right between my thighs.

The streaming should begin at 8 p.m., but we had to arrive before 5 p.m., so the make-up artists and stylists could prepare us for the performance. Sitting in that chair and waiting for all pampering to be over with was stressful as fuck. I tried to preoccupy myself with an idea of Taeyong, but whenever someone threw a question in my direction, I was being pulled out of my train of happy thoughts.
I wanted to get on the stage and be done with it. Unfortunately, whoever funded that contest didn’t think of the mental health of its participants when making today’s schedule.
Punctually, the show began its transmission at 8 o’clock. However, at the very beginning, the MC had to introduce all sponsors. Going through them took him about twenty minutes. Then, they interviewed some of the eliminated dancers, asking them questions either about their experience in the competition or simply who they thought would win.
Later, they decided to rewind the contestants’ moments in the show. At first, they showed Doyoung and his partner, and a few experts analyzed their performance, wondering what the odds of them winning were.
When the host announced the rewind of Taeyong’s and Seulgi’s stages, the jury only talked about the sudden switch up, confirming it was the first time it ever happened in the grand finale. It startled a lot of people why would Seulgi drop out, but Taeyong explained it in a brief interview.
“It was a crazy coincidence, but Seulgi couldn’t participate today because she is getting married today,” Taeyong revealed, and the audience cooed loudly, obviously supporting her choice. “I was stressed at first, but Seulgi found an amazing dancer to take her spot. She really chose well,” he added, and I looked at him, trying not to cry in front of everyone.
It was almost impossible to fish out a compliment from Taeyong during practice, but right now, he did it on his own accord, melting my heart with his words.
“Everybody is dying to know more about your partner,” the MC started, shifting his attention to me. I didn’t particularly like to be put in the spotlight, but before I managed to spit some nonsense, Taeyong butt in, rescuing the day.
“Although she doesn’t have much experience in dance competitions, I think she’s a great dancer. To think of it, she is my secret weapon,” Taeyong added, and I almost ran into his arms, feeling too overwhelmed by his speech.
“Alright then, let’s see what you got after a short commercial break,” the MC cheerfully announced before I bolted out of the stage as I felt the stress crept into my head.
“Calm down,” Taeyong softly spoke as he approached me, holding my hand, drawing circles with his thumb. “You’ve got this. Just focus on me,” he added, flashing me a reassuring smile before kissing my knuckles.
“Awww… isn’t it adorable?” Someone snickered, and I didn’t need to turn my head around to know it was Doyoung. He was like a venomous snake, trying to sneak into our subconscious and make us even more anxious. It couldn’t be fair play.
“Buzz off,” I barked as I didn’t want to let him tick Taeyong off. Taeyong was my safety pin, and I didn’t want him to go full rage on Doyoung. Their backstage battle would make it to the news, but I’d rather prevent it from happening.
“With Seulgi on your arm, I was giving you a five percent chance of winning,” Doyoung started, ignoring my warning. “Now, when she’s gone, I won’t even have fun beating you on the stage,” he added, and I almost surged forward to punch him. If it wasn’t for Taeyong, who held me in my place, I’d definitely rearranged Doyoung’s face.
“Don’t let him get into your head,” Taeyong whispered into my ear, and I nodded my head, sighing. Then, it struck me. Doyoung’s motive wasn’t to mess with Taeyong but with me. He knew I was the weakest link, and he wanted to guarantee his victory by making me doubt myself. His words rung in my head, but one look at Taeyong helped me relax. We had practiced it a thousand times; there was not a chance I would make a mistake.
“Come on. Let’s go. They’re calling us out,” Taeyong mused, pulling me towards the stage.
The silence filled the auditorium when we got on the stage, taking our respective places. I stole a glance at Taeyong – he was mouthing words of encouragement seconds before the MC announced our performance.
I can hear it callin'
Loving the way you wanna talk
Touch me, tease me, feel me up
Callin', something in the way you wanna talk
On two sides of the stage, we moved to the rhythm, telling the story of two strangers lusting over each other from afar. With hunger in our eyes, we tried to seduce each other with sharp movements, showcasing our attributes.
You got me sayin', you got me sayin'
How you doing? Tell me what's your name (Ey, tell me what's your name?)
What's your sign? Feeling like you are into me
Taeyong ran up to me like a man enchanted by the siren’s voice, rolling his body against mine. It was his moment to shine; everybody’s eyes were on him as he owned the stage with his overflowing charisma.
Baby, we're two distant strangers
I know you don't speak my language
But I love the way she's talking to me (Talking to me)
I can hear it callin' from where you are
Loving the way you wanna talk
Touch me, tease me, feel me up
Touch me, tease me, feel me up
It was a classic game of cat and mouse. Though our bodies were so close to each other, we moved in perfect synchronization, careful not to brush against each other. The chemistry between us was undeniable, and the feeling of yearning was visible from the very last row.
Max, max, max, we can have it all (To the max)
If you back, back, back, back, back it up (Back it, back it)I'll take you where you wanna, got the gas in the tank (Wow)
If you really wanna make it last (Git, git, git)
Finally, as the song slowly progressed to the end, we were showing intense frustration. We were portraying two individuals, yearning for intimate contact, who were hastily losing their minds over uncontrollable passion.
I can hear it callin' from where you are (Callin', woo)
Loving the way you wanna talk (Love the way you talk)
Touch me, tease me, feel me up (Yeah, yeah)
Touch me, tease me, feel me up
The song was to end soon. The last chorus rolled in – it was our cue. After all teasing, we finally made the connection, ready to combust out of raw craze. After three minutes of painful longing, we were to reach completion.
I can hear it callin' from where you are (Callin', woo)
Loving the way you wanna talk (Love the way you talk)
Touch me, tease me, feel me up (Yeah, yeah)
Touch me, tease me, feel me up
It was all or nothing. We were finally together, touching each other with fervor. The audience was eating our performance up – particularly when Taeyong showcased his flexibility and body control.
Tell me how you like it babe (How you)
I don't even know your name (How you, ey)
I love the way you're talking to me
It was finally time to finish our performance with a bang; we needed to show something spectacular, something Doyoung wouldn’t ever think about. As the singer began the last verse, it was my cue to run into Taeyong’s embrace. The second the last syllable rolled of the singer’s tongue, Taeyong caught me in his arms, and the lights went out to add a dramatic twist to our performance.
For a while, the audience was silent. However, a few seconds later, they roared in excitement, clapping loudly, showing how much they enjoyed our stage.
The MC was congratulating us, but I was too thrilled to register his words. I still couldn’t believe I performed on national television and didn’t trip and smash my face.
I had no idea how I found myself backstage, but there was a high chance Taeyong led me off the stage. I was too overwhelmed to do it on my own.
I even forgot that Johnny, together with Yeri – the love of his week, had backstage passes. I only remembered that when he wrapped his arms around me in a bear hug, congratulating me.
“You gotta quit that office job and start dancing professionally,” Johnny ordered, and I smiled, glad that he enjoyed my performance. “We both gotta quit. You’ll be dancing, and I’ll be a badass FBI agent.”
“You two were great,” Yeri politely said when Johnny let me go. “Thank you so much for letting me backstage.”
“No problem,” Taeyong replied as he grabbed my shaking hands. “Are you okay?” He asked, cupping my face, making me look at him. “You rocked the stage,” he added before he leaned forward to peck my lips.
Ignoring Johnny’s perplexed expression, I wrapped my arms around Taeyong in a comfortable hug. I hadn’t suitably introduced Johnny to the concept of me dating Taeyong, but hopefully, our interaction got the message across.
Emotions were slowly fading away, but I still needed Taeyong’s support. I was a rookie, and I had no experience with this type of stress. Something was calming about Taeyong’s aura; I couldn’t pinpoint what exactly, but I wasn’t going to question it.
“Anticipation is killing me,” I muttered against his skin. “Can he already go on that fucking stage?” I yelled, wondering why Doyoung’s performance didn’t start yet. I knew the MC was building up tension, but it was too much for me to handle.
“We could always skip,” Taeyong casually spoke, and I pulled away to look at him. What the hell was he talking about? I hadn’t agreed to help him out, so we didn’t wait until the end. “If we lose, we lose. If we win, your friend can accept the prize, can’t he?”
“Are you insane?”
“Maybe a little bit,” he answered with a bright smile, brushing stray hair off my forehead. “I just want to know the result already so we can go to Seulgi’s wedding and congratulate them,” he added, and I nodded my head. Though we couldn’t participate during the ceremony, the least we could do was to show up ridiculously late to the reception.
“Can they hurry the fuck up now?” I craned my neck, trying to find Doyoung and his partner. They were arguing about something right behind the curtain. Everything seemed they weren’t in the right headspace.
“I don’t think I want to see their performance,” Taeyong whispered, tightening his grasp on my waist. “How about a quickie in the dressing room? What do you say?” He proposed, and I smacked him, telling him to behave. It was tempting, but we really shouldn’t. I wouldn’t walk up that stage with messed-up post-sex hair.
“Get a grip,” I added, gently elbowing him. “Let’s just hit the snack table. I am hungry,” I spoke, pulling him away when the MC invited Doyoung and his dance partner onto the stage.
While munching on snacks, we stared at each other fondly. In some weird way, we were helping each other cope with anticipation and stress. Though it was tempting to check out their performance, we decided it was for the better if we didn’t.
They performed to “Hips Don’t Lie,” and it was almost impossible to turn my head around to check out Doyoung’s sick moves. Having considered all the videos I had seen of him, I was sure he looked gorgeous.
“What about a little peek?” Taeyong questioned, unable to control his urge to see his rival’s performance. “I thought I could endure it, but I can’t,” he added, and I nodded, giving in. Instantly, we ran to the nearest screen to watch their stage.
It was everything I imagined. Their moves were executed with precision and grace, but entertainment-wise, I was bored. They had the skills, but something about the general concept didn’t fulfill my expectations.
No matter how great of a dancer Doyoung was, he just could not pull this song off as the original artist did. Regardless of how hard he swayed his hips, it just didn’t live up to its potential. Though I wasn’t educated enough to give an honest review, it felt meh.
The audience in the studio whistled and shouted once they finished their performance, giving them a round of applause. With genuine smiles, Doyoung and his partner bowed before they ran off the stage.
Now, only thirty minutes of aggressive advertising, and we would know the winner.
“Is it too late to agree to that quickie?”
“You should’ve said so earlier,” Taeyong answered with an innocent smile as he reached to hold my hand. “The best I can do is cuddles,” he added, leading me to the couch, letting me rest my head on his shoulder. “It feels nice.”
“It does, but it doesn’t take my mind off things like a quickie would.”
“Don’t even try. I am not going on that stage with a boner in my pants,” Taeyong warned, peeling my hand off his thigh, pressing a delicate kiss against my knuckles.
Though it wasn’t as preoccupying as sex, it was still nice. And most importantly, it took our minds off the unbearable anticipation. A staff member actually needed to gently shake Taeyong’s shoulder to remind us that the MC was calling us to the stage.
Taeyong’s hand didn’t leave mine once we were waiting for the big reveal. It was fine if we lost. Next year, Seulgi and Taeyong would definitely make it to the top.
When the MC announced the winner, a few confetti bombs exploded. The audience roared in excitement, but I had no clue what was going on. Uncertainty was over – one of us won.
Stress, anticipation, and anxiety slowed down my reactions. However, I figured it would be weird if Taeyong picked me up and spun me around in his arms if we lost. It could only mean one thing – we did it.
We won.
Taeyong’s acceptance speech was short and simple. He thanked everyone who succored him discover his passion for dancing, who supported him throughout his dream, who directly helped him get this far, and me.
When I was handed the microphone for the first time that evening, I basically rephrased Taeyong words. Maybe it wasn’t my dream, but it felt damn good to assist Taeyong in achieving his. It was a bumpy road, but overall, it was all worth it.
The MC handed me a statue after shaking my hand, congratulating me once more. Taeyong, on the other hand, was gifted a huge check for 20 thousand dollars.
“Let’s go,” Taeyong whispered to me, running off the stage with me.
***
It was shortly before midnight when the Uber parked in front of the hotel where Seulgi’s and Irene’s reception took place. It was beautifully decorated with lights and flowers, making it look like a magical castle.
Though the security didn’t want to grant entrance, one of Seulgi’s aunts recognized Taeyong and told the man to let us in. She was nice enough to help us out, but she still found some time to glance disapprovingly at my stage costume. I wouldn’t be surprised if she gossiped to her entire family I was a prostitute.
As soon as we walked into the ballroom, Seulgi noticed us. She was sitting by the table, eating the wedding cake with Irene. In an instant, she rose from her chair and ran up to us, throwing herself on Taeyong’s neck.
“You won! I knew it!” She shouted as she gave Taeyong a bone-crushing hug. “Irene and I sneaked out for a while to watch your performance. You smashed them,” Seulgi added before she turned to me, congratulating me too.
“You were amazing,” Irene approached us, sending a polite smile. Unlike Seulgi, Irene was much calmer and collected.
“You are finally married,” Taeyong spoke, beaming. “You better have everything recorded. I gotta know every embarrassing thing that I missed,” he added in a teasing manner, earning a playful jab from Seulgi. “I bet you cried during your vows.”
“Congratulations,” I chimed in, breaking their friendly banter before it properly started. It was Seulgi’s wedding day, after all.
After we caught up, Seulgi and Irene walked off to the dance floor, leaving us by the table alone. For a while, we admired them. They looked absolutely stunning in their white suits, dancing, basking in happiness.
“Do you know where the gifts are held?” I inquired suddenly, looking around.
“Why? Did you have time to get them anything?” Taeyong asked before he stuffed his mouth with a chocolate glazed strawberry. “Or are you thinking of stealing some?”
“I just want to give them my part of the prize,” I started, making Taeyong choke on the fruit. “Seulgi’s the rightful winner, and I think it’s only right.”
“Are you sure? It’s a lot of money.”
“Yeah, I know, but I really want to do that,” I replied, fiddling with my fingers. “I don’t need this money, so I want to give it to her.”
“You’re so hot right now,” Taeyong said, making me turn my head in embarrassment. “If that’s what you really want to do, do it. But remember, you earned it.”
“I am sure.”
“Then let me spoil you with my prize,” Taeyong offered, staring into my eyes. At first, I thought he was joking, but when his gaze didn’t even falter, I understood how serious he was. “Well… look at that. What are the odds?” Taeyong spoke as a familiar melody echoed within the walls of the grand ballroom. “It’s our song. Shall we dance?”
Having glanced at Seulgi, who whispered something to the DJ, I smiled at Taeyong. Though I was sick and tired of Love Talk already, it was kind of our song. We had been listening to this song too much, and regardless of how good it was, the prospect of it being our anthem terrified me.
“One last time,” I gave in, accepting Taeyong’s invitation, letting him lead me to the dance floor. Despite having mastered the choreography to it, I just wrapped my arms around his neck, slowly waltzing to it.
“That’s nothing like we practiced,” Taeyong pinpointed, and I chuckled, shaking my head. “I don’t mind, though. It’s comfy,” he added as his hands found purchase on my hips.
“Seulgi doesn’t look pleased. She didn’t expect us to perform, did she?” I whispered into Taeyong’s ear, hugging him closer. “Also, it can’t be our song. We have to change it; the sooner, the better,” I complained, but Taeyong just chuckled into my ear, humming softly.
Instead of giving me an actual answer, Taeyong decided to sing it.
“I love the way you're talking to me.”

I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO REITERATE SOMETHING
Yes, let’s circle back to the beautiful performance of Edge of Great. More specifically the BODY LANGUAGE, particularly Julie and Luke’s, which I will be analyzing with gifs.
Exhibit A
Jealous Luke looks over at Julie and Reggie vibing
Julie is aware that she’s avoiding Luke, which she is doing so bc she realized her feelings for him thanks to Flynn earlier in the episode.
Since Julie has put the task of ignoring Luke upon herself even though she has no obligation to, she ends up failing her own mission. She sees Luke’s reaction to the lack of her attention.
She literally FREEZES. She’s emotionally worried to confront what she’s feeling and it’s beginning to manifest physically.
Exhibit B
It gets better y’all. After Luke finally has even a crumb of Julie’s attention, he beckons her over with his signature head tilt. This is important bc he did this with his longtime bandmate during the soundcheck of what would’ve been their biggest performance. If he feels comfortable enough using that body language with a girl he’s only known for, what, a week and a half(?) then you know this puppy boy’s got it BAD.
Julie is well aware that Luke is getting jealous. But in classic Julie fashion, she will try to tune it out instead of addressing it. Our wicked beauty doesn’t like confrontation and would rather just deny and avoid than potentially make things awkward, especially when she knows Luke would ask her about it at a later time.
The look on Julie’s face. Her eyes widen and the classic tight-lipped awkward smile is present. She’s literally saying “ok enough of that let’s get back to work doo doo doo” with her face. The way her body SWINGS back into performance mode as she faces the audience again. It may have been a split second, but when you’re deliberately trying to avoid looking into the dreamy (dead) eyes of someone you shouldn’t be crushing on, any amount of time feels too long. Plus, she knows Flynn is watching and doesn’t want her to lecture her (but she does anyway bc Flynn is observant and knows her bestie too well to let any action slip past her).
Exhibit C
Keep in mind; NONE OF THE GUYS KNOW WHY JULIE IS AVOIDING LUKE. Flynn, Alex, and Reggie have noticed the Juke chemistry, but it’s still too soon for them to get past the “we like each other but we’re too clueless to notice that we reciprocate” phase, so even though their respective besties know, they are still denying. Besides, Reg, Alex, and Flynn know better than to keep pestering if they want to keep their kneecaps. In reality they’re both smart enough to tell by this point, but for the sake of the plot and to make everything more adorably frustrating, Flynn has the collective brain cell under lock and key, leaving Juke to be like *dog tilting its head and making that “a-roo?” noise*
Anyway, Reggie notices Luke being snubbed after realizing that his extra dose of Julie time was slightly out of the ordinary. Luke is clearly concerned (look at his eyebrows and how his eyes travel from Reggie, to Julie, then to the audience to trying and get his mind off it and bring his focus back to the main goal; the performance.) If he can’t have the moment of connection with Julie that he so desperately craves, he’s gonna fill that void as best he can by connecting with the audience. >:’)
But Reggie’s trying to help Luke brush it off by conveying his reaction as ‘look at julie coming into her own! i told you she was a star! and you thought you were the lead singer? think again buddy this girl’s got you beat!’
But since Reggie isnt a master at hiding his feelings yet, especially around Luke, —who was able to get under his skin earlier (“girls, am i right?”)—Luke was easily able to see through that and interpreted what Reggie was saying as “look at julie go, she all in the zone. you’re literally making heart eyes at her get a grip you’re slacking lmao” (hence luke’s right eyebrow quirking at reggie like ‘dude seriously gimme a break u know i need attention like tinkerbell’) even though Reggie’s true message was a bit less harsh and more lovingly teasing, but it’s Luke, he sees things through his eyes and at his intensity, regardless of who it’s coming from. (This is one of the reasons why Luke comes off as selfish at times.)
Exhibit D
Poor Lukey boi can’t seem to catch a break today! Not only does Julie ignore him, then has a cute lil (platonic but it’s luke so it still makes him jealous >:P) moment, but now she has the AUDACITY to interact with Alex? The guy who was out learning Ghost 101 with this Willie guy instead of rehearsing with the band? What gives?! What’s he got that your moody ghost bf doesn’t? >:’(
He literally just watches, and even glances back in a way that, to me, screams ‘did i see that right? did i just see what i just saw with my own dreamy (but dead) eyes? say sike rn.’ \_(*_*)_/
Meanwhile, Alex pays no mind. I like to think that Alex is fully aware that Luke is an angry boy rn, but has learned to ignore it, especially this bc literally NOTHING happened. Either that or Alex has no clue and just truly thinks nothing of it and is having too much fun to think about Luke’s moody and childish behavior. Either way, Alex is just straight chilling and we love to see it *^_^*
Notice how Reggie is right there vibing with Julie and Alex. Luke feels a bit betrayed like ‘not you too! i know you were the first to turn on me but i figured since you’re such a golden retriever you’d be loyal and come back to my side!😠🥲’
Also; Luke approaches the rest of the group, wanting to be included in at least SOME of the vibing, but when Julie starts dancing and smiling with her buddy Alex, he backs up like
“you know what? nope. nevermind. not doin’ it.”
and the group’s like “i mean hey it’s your loss, but luke we want you to-”
“no, bc you chose to piss me off right in front of my face so no luke time for any of you! no cuddles, no hugs, no nothing! you made your bed, now lie in it and perish.”
Exhibit E & F: This is where it gets a bit interesting and theorized hehe...
Now we all know that this moment is just fucking ICONIC
WEOWH NEOW NEOW!!! WEOW NEHR NEHR NER-NER-NER NEHR NEHR NEOWHR!!! (wer nehr-nehr-ner-ner-nehr-nehr!!) WUEHNER-NEUHNER-NEHR-NEEOW-NEOWH! DLOOLOODDUH-DOODLAH-HOOBLUEH-NEOWHR-NEUEHR-NEEEEEEUOWRH!!!!
But hear me out– HEAR ME OUT!
What if... now don’t shoot the messenger who just so happens to also be the theorist... but what if...
WHAT IF!!! Luke didn’t!! plan this?!!!
Listen i know you’re probably thinking:
“Well uh Nicole, isn’t that kinda the whole point? It literally wasn’t planned until Charlie realized Madi was gonna be standing on the piano so he suggested the idea for the guitar solo to Kenny.”
And you’re right! But here’s the kicker:
What if Luke THE CHARACTER, just decided to do this as an “Alright that’s it! You wanna be like that? Well what if I just hit you with my super awesome radical totally cool wowza guitar skills & make a moment between us? Huh? What do you think about that? Hmm? HMMM???!!!”
He licks his lips & that to me read** like he was nervous (**read rhyming with bed just to clarify) so that means it could’ve been a spontaneous, spur-of-the-moment thing.
In the second gif, you can see that Julie’s head is tilted, as if she’s a bit confused, but she’s also delightfully surprised.
Julie is quick to smile and scrunch her nose at Luke, something she does often. It tells Luke his impulsive action garnered a positive response from his favorite girl. Julie also starts to shake her head, but doesn’t go through the motion in full, which means she’s still a bit nervous to let her guard down. This is probably because she doesn’t know what he’s thinking or what he will do next. The lopsided smile mixed with the suave, gliding steps towards her probably brought her back to her daydream lol.
Luke’s happy bc Julie’s no longer ignoring him. He smiles like a GOOBER bc this chump is simping HARD for our Julie. So cute! :’)
Exhibit G
And hear me when I offer this:
What if Luke poofed the guys out???
I know, I know. It’s a bold claim to make. But the boys are special, considering they are a threat to Caleb (3 gay-variant himbos vs. a gay magician that could’ve been on broadway but decided to make some sort of deal with a devil so he just entertains capitalists who most likely sold their souls to get into the hgc which i will probably elaborate on in a future theory so dont do that bc im gonna lmao idc we all have big brains) So it’s not too crazy to think that they could share some ghost powers.
We know Caleb transported the guys during You Got Nothing to Lose. And the guys have left a place at the exact same time on more than one occasion.
And you may be thinking “well what if the guys poofed out to give juke a moment alone together?” And to that I say...
Look at Reggie. He isn’t looking back at Alex like “dude let’s give them some space.”
The timing of him turning around, at least to me, makes me think Reggie was surprised by Luke approaching the piano. (But also he lowkey was waiting for Luke to prove him wrong by doing something to get Julie’s attention so Reggie isn’t mad. Neither is Alex but he doesn’t like being told how or WHEN to ghost) Luke doesn’t even give his bandmates a warning eyebrow quirk, a hand signal, nothing. Reggie turns to Alex like ‘dude what is he DOING?’ And before he can even really convey that, they go *POOF*
This man had a plan and he was gonna do it, so he did. Whether it’s the power of love, they stopped performing, or Reggie and Alex actually poofed out, the odds worked in Luke’s favor so he and Julie could have a super special moment, a moment special enough to make an actual living person (Nick) wonder if a “hologram” has a better chance at connecting with Julie than he does.
Again, regardless of who made them poof or how they poofed, they mf poofed so Luke’s a happy hamster. (Idk it just sounded fitting instead of happy camper lol wait what if someone had 3 pet hamsters and named them alex reggie and luke🥺 someone buy some hamsters and let me be their godmother or their aunt and i’ll love them from afar.) Anyway, Luke’s thriving, flourishing, his crops are going to grow in time for the harvest.
You can see Julie lean back as she turns to see Luke. It’s... almost as if... She. Wasn’t. Expecting. Him. To. Be. There..??
Honey badger Luke bc he DGAF <|:) Bitch, it’s Luke mf Patterson and he’s gonna,, GET! IN! YOUR! FAAAACE!!!
You CANNOT tell me he’s not doing the absolute MOST to try and seduce Miss Juliana Mariposa Rose Molina.
Yes I’m making a headcanon that Julie has TWO middle names and that one of them is the spanish word for butterfly and that the other is her mother’s name. Also yes, I believe (i believe that we’re just one dream away from who we’re– oh, that’s not what we’re doing? okay, sorry!) that Juliana is Julie’s full name.
In this house we love and respect Juliana Mariposa (Dahlia)** Rose Molina
**I’m just putting Dahlia there for fun bc I can. :) Whether I’d consider it a possible middle name of hers depends. Anyway I just thought it was a cute thing to add bc it goes along with the other middle names I gave her *^_^* Also, I feel like I made a post giving a bunch of the characters middle names lemme see if I can find it later)
Ok i’m done this took me basically all day from like 10am until 4:08. I obviously took breaks in between, but not long ones...😶

Just a rant & flail about episode 9, y’all, with MAJOR SPOILERS & IMAGES
Okay, here we go, under a spoiler cut...
I don’t understand who this fucking wedding ring twist is for. People who already don’t like Nick will feel like they have added justification. People who love him (ME) will be annoyed at the retread. IT’S LITERALLY FOR NO ONE, AND I HATE IT.
**I’m editing here to clarify that this was my reaction to the spoilers and not the actual content of the episode, which I have now seen in its entirety. While I’m still majorly perplexed about this decision, the whole stretch of Osblaine content in this episode was sheer, utter, glorious perfection.
I was actually going to also say here that hiding the ring seemed self-indulgent, and I was very confused why they would go in that direction with a character who is NOT EVEN REMOTELY selfish. But now, here I am, 180 on that concern and convinced this show either has a THING up its sleeve or there is a gigantic angst-filled storm coming. I’m pretty sure it will be a crushing mix of both.
Also, NICK CLEARLY DOES NOT THINK he is likely to see her again after this meeting, or that if he does, it will be about Hannah and not about any sort of happy ending for him, which he (has always?) viewed as impossible. He didn’t think this meeting would ever even happen. See my notes further down on this... But this makes a HUGE difference in how the ring plays. I do have to say, aside from Hannah still being in Gilead, there isn’t a great reason from June’s perspective for him to remain there (considering she doesn’t know about his marriage), so it’s a little surprising that she wouldn’t be like... “I mean, gtfo, babe.”
Now, on the topic of the actual mystery wife, hell...
One very silly thing did occur to me, which I’m sure will be wrong, but I guess it’s worth mentioning. Considering Holly’s (I’m sorry, I still can’t call her ‘Nichole,’ even though Nick literally called her that to her face in this episode, ugh) parentage is pretty open information at this point, what if Gilead forced Nick to marry in an effort to get Holly back through a new channel (without him realizing that’s why they made him do it)? June wasn’t his handmaid, but she was a handmaid who slept with a now-Commander and had his child. So, all they’d have to do is twist the laws a little, marry Nick off, and demand Holly’s return to her real father.
Then, there’s the whole “what Commander would have her” comment about Janine that feels like it could be a set-up for Nick to end up with her in his household, which then of course leads us back around to him running crazy shit to protect people out of his house. This feels like a bridge too far for this show, but I literally just don’t even know anymore. Anything is possible, and all bets are off.
I want episode 10 right now but also can’t stomach the thought of them not giving us ANYTHING Osblaine, which feels very likely, and then making us wait a damn year for the next season. I will be EXHAUSTED by then, with nothing left to give this show aside from a few scattered shards of my shredded heart.
I watched the episode 10 promo, and I feel like Nick isn’t going to be in it, which has pretty much left me inconsolable. I will just be over here, tightly clutching the 10 minutes of absolute, pure magnificence of the meeting in this episode.
Some “Other Stuff”:
1. “I never thought I’d give it to you in person.” - He literally never thought he would see her again; that’s what he’s confessing here, y’all. I’m so broken.
2. “You did all this for me?” - Of course he fucking did, and her reaction literally says everything. I am SO UNBELIEVABLY RELIEVED they let him do something MAJOR and unprovoked for her like this; it’s literally perfect, it’s all I could want, it’s everything.
No one told him why the meeting was being set up, as made clear by her saying “I’m sure you’re curious what this is about,” but, like, of course he knows - he KNOWS HER - and it doesn’t matter anyway, because he’s been prepping for this since she left Gilead. HOLY SHIT, they let him be the exact amount of breathtaking that we all already knew he was.
3. His thumb is back on her face, and she does not stop the kiss - that is not the way it plays at all. That spoiler is bullshit.
4. When she kisses him on the forehead after they stop making out, it is the cutest/angstiest fucking thing I have ever seen, and I’m dying.
5. The way he wiped his face right here (because he’s C R Y I N G) ABSOLUTELY FUCKING DESTROYED ME, and I will never recover.
6. I HAVE NEVER SEEN TWO PEOPLE MORE IN LOVE IN MY LIFE, AND I’M GOING TO VOMIT. The “how dare you” was the most perfect moment - I could write a whole essay on it - and I began openly weeping at this point.
7. Nick has never smiled this many times, and it HURTS SO GOOD.
I’m spent. I’m going to bed to stare at my ceiling replaying this scene in my head until I have to get up for work tomorrow. FUCK.

HOT TOMALES! I just got a great idea for a request! Bakugo, Fatgum, Sero, and Hawks hcs of them with a black!fem!s/o but she has a Galaxy quirk. It gives her purple blue eyes with stars and constellation pupils that changes when she blinks, she blushes stardust and mini stars, has sparkly tears, and her quirk allows her to use black holes, comet like projectiles, and she can make mini stars and planets appear from her energy along with spreading stars and constellation like freckles all over her body. (I saw these gorgeous art designs and I couldn’t help myself. I do not own the art, they are just inspiration to me for this request 😭✨)
“She’s Out of This World” - Headcannons
Pairings: bakugou, fatgum, sero, and hawks x black!fem! reader Pronouns: she/her Warnings: none...besides a few curse words (cough...bakugou...cough)
Thanks for another great request <3
He definitely was NOT looking forward to the new foreign student joining the class when Aizawa first announced it
But then you stepped through the oversized doorway and he very obviously did a double take
Bakubitch was seeing stars...literally...you were flustered and blushing stardust
Bakugou thought that you were hot and your quirk was cool...though he would NOT admit it
He was definitely overly aggressive towards you when you met each other because bby boi didn’t know how to express his feelings
Hi crush grew when he saw you wouldn’t take his shit and you talked back...(he thought that was hot as fuck)
“Hey (y/n)-chan?” Midoriya asked from his seat, his half burnt journal out as he held a pen in his hand. His green eyes were wide as he looked you over before scribbling things down
Bakugou wasn’t saying anything and was pretending to be on his phone but he would look up every so often to see if you found Deku as annoying as he did
He was kinda bummed when he saw you didn’t
“What’s up Midoriya?” You asked back as Midoriya looked back up at you, loosing his train of thought when he saw the constellations in your eyes change and shooting stars in the purple-blue orbs when you blinked or got excited.
“C-can you make stars and planets and stuff?” He asked after a pause. This caught the explosive blonde’s attention as he watched you smile and nod.
“Yeah...do you want me to do it now?” Everyone nodded in response to your question, their eyes now focusing on you.
A mini galaxy began to appear above your hands, a small smile on your face as you looked at everyone’s excited and impressed faces.
“Woah! You’re really hot!” Mineta said, catching you off guard as your eyes widened and you cheeks became covered in stardust, a shooting star appearing above your head.
“T-thanks.” You grew even more flustered as some of the other boys agreed
Bakugou glared daggers at Mineta for breathing near you, so the fact that he talked to you was pissing him off even more
Mineta’s ass got BEAT after school and the next day Mineta wouldn’t even look at you
You caught the satisfied smirk on Bakugou’s face that he tried to hide when he saw Mineta practically piss his pants
“You know you could just talk to me...” You said from your seat behind Bakugou with a small laugh as Bakugou tried to hide his quickly reddening cheeks
He LOVES to talk about you and show you off, even if not a lot of people get to see you together because y’all are pro-heros
Will definitely talk everyone’s ears off when given the chance about how cool your galaxy quirk is and how strong and powerful you are to the point where some of his friends are convinced you aren’t real because they haven’t seen you together
No one questions him anymore after you joined him and his two interns on patrol when they spotted you after you had just finished your own patrol
“Excuse me.” You looked down when you felt a small tug at your belt, seeing a little girl with pigtails and warm brown eyes.
“Hi sweetheart.” You smiled widely at the girl as you kneeled to her level, noticing the doll of you in her arms and the small stars that were drawn on her cheeks.
“I wanna be just like you when I grow up! I already told my mommy!” The little girl told you excitedly as a woman who looks like the older version of the little girl in front of you smiles at you with a hand on the girl’s shoulder.
“I think you’ll make a great hero one day.” You told her as her eyes seemed to shine in adoration. Her little hand touched the stars on your cheek as she mumbled about how pretty it was.
“Thank you.” You laughed lightly as the little girl blushed.
“I can make sunlight!” She explained after a moment, excitedly showing you her hands that formed the little ball of light.
“Watch this.” You smiled, putting your hands around hers as you made tiny planets and a mini galaxy around her little ball of light that looked like a sun.
“Woah!” The little girl excitedly jumped up and down before hugging you as her mother thanked you before the pair walked off. You stood turning when you felt eyes on you.
It was your boyfriend, Toyomitsu and his two interns who had been watching the little exchange with small smiles.
“Are these your interns!” You asked him excitedly as you pulled at his large hand, eyeing the two teenagers.
“Mmhmm.” He nodded proudly. “Isn’t she out of this world?” He asked to the boys with a laugh.
You rolled your eyes at his corny joke, but let out a small laugh.
“Do you want to join us?”
“Of course! Toyomitsu literally doesn’t stop talking about you two! It’s great to finally meet you.”
“Really? He hasn’t stopped talking about you either.” Kirishima said as your starry purple and blue eyes looked from the redhead to your boyfriend with a raised eyebrow. He just smiled at you, a soft pink covering his cheeks as he shrugged.
Flex tape is super into you from the moment he saw you, but he was too nervous to say anything to you in the beginning
He was convinced you would go for someone like him (which is stupid bc he’s so cute)...he was obviously wrong
Both you and Sero’s quirks have pretty practical applications, especially when you generated small suns and moons as light sources
The first time you generated a black hole kinda scared him tho...even if it was a small one
Once you convinced him that you had complete control over the black hole, he wasn’t so nervous about it anymore.
Definitely takes advantage of the black hole creation ability of your quirk now too
“Hey (y/n) can you come over?” Your boyfriend called you. This made you nervous because you thought something bad could’ve happened...like that one time Sero had accidentally gotten his tape stuck in a fan while it was accidentally stuck in his hair
“What happened? Did you start a fire? Was Denki involved? Is there another fan, because I can go get my scissors again!” You said quickly as you stood at his door in the dorms.
You had rushed there so it had only taken you a moment to get there after he had hung up.
“Nope...no fire, Kaminari wasn’t involved, and there isn’t another fan incident...but I kinda broke the vacuum cleaner and there’s glitter all over my room.”
“Why is there glitter everywhere?” You looked from the mess all on the floor to your boyfriend who smiled sheepishly at you.
“Well, Kaminari thought it would be fun to do a prank...and the test kinda backfired...”
“I thought you said Kaminari wasn’t involved?”
“Uh-” He stopped when you held your hand up with a sigh.
“What am I supposed to do about this Hanta?”
“I was thinking that maybe you could use a black hole...since it’s kinda like a vacuum?”
“Fine.” You sighed after a pause in conversation, nodding once before you made a small black hole appear in your hand. Pointing it towards the floor you sucked up all of the glitter before making the black hole disappear again.
“I knew it would be faster than a vacuum!” Sero told you as he hugged and thanked you.
“Don’t be so messy next time...and maybe stay away from the glitter.” You laughed.
Keigo was kind of caught off guard when he first saw you.
He originally thought your quirk had just changed your appearance and that it was only creating stars, well until one day...
You see, the pair of you had moved in together and had also gotten a dog because why the hell not?
Anyways Keigo was supposed to be getting home any moment from patrol and since you had been off that day, you stayed home with your dog
“Did you have to ruin your toys so quickly? We just brought you this ball.” You complained to the small rambunctious animal who simple stared up at you with big brown eyes and a wag of its tail.
“Alright, let’s try this then.” You said after thinking for a moment. You created a small planet before throwing it down the hall. If your dog broke it, you could simply make a new one and it wouldn’t be a waste of money.
The dog happily chased after it before appearing a moment later with the small blue planet in its mouth. It put the sphere down at your feet, looking up at you and waiting for you to throw it again.
The door opened as you threw it down the hall again, Keigo walking into the house after just getting off.
He set his goggles on the table by the door along with his special headphones, taking his gloves and jacket off at the door.
“I’m home, Birdie.” He called out as your dog ran towards him and dropped the strange new ball that he didn’t remember getting at his feet.
“I’m in here.”
“Weird.” The pro-hero mumbled before tossing the ball again and walking towards where your voice had come from.
“How was patrol?” You asked as your dog appeared again, the broken planet in front of him on the ground at your feet.
“It was fine...nothing major.” He answered simply, watching as you sighed giving a look to your dog before putting your hands together and making another small sphere, this time a purple color.
“Try not to break it so quickly this time.” You told the dog before tossing it.
“What was that?” He questioned as you looked at him confused. “When you put your hands together?” He clarified.
“Oh...did I forget to tell you? He broke his new ball, so I created a planet for him. I just figured it would be easier than buying him another toy that he’ll just end up destroying.” You shrugged.
“You can make planets?”
“Among other things.” You laughed softly at the surprised face he made. “I thought I told you.”
“No...but that’s cool as hell! What else can you do?” He asked, his eyes not leaving yours as he laid his head in your lap as you both sat on the couch with you explaining your quirk in depth.

King JiHo (Favourite JiHo moments)
Fan Video by ‘Haechan’s Children’ on YouTube
(indented text = comments added by the maker of the video) I’m 100% convinced that this is JiHo’s world and we’re just living in it. Here’s some moments that prove this <3 Enjoyyyy~~
[[N'-135] New Thangs🙆♀️🙆♂️New Thangs👍👃 | ‘영웅(Kick It)’ 인기가요 대기실 비하인드]
NCT 127 was chilling in their dressing room, backstage, waiting for their turn to perform ‘Kick It’. JiHo sat in one of the chairs in front of the mirrors, ready to get her make up done. Taeyong who was holding the camera walked up to the girl ready to interview her.
“And here we have our lovely JiHo getting ready for our stage.” He commented, earning a hum from the girl. “How are you feeling- oh? What’s that?” The camera wasn’t pointed at anything anymore as Taeyong leaned in closer to the girl then readjusted the camera again to focus on JiHo. His hand reached out to grab her chin and his thumb lightly pressed against a purple spot beneath the left corner of her lip. “Is it real?” The concern was audible in his question and JiHo nodded.
“I thought it was fake! What happened? When did you get that bruise? It looks painful.” Taeyong kept firing out questions which had both JiHo and the make up artist, who was currently working on her, laughing. “It doesn’t hurt too bad.” JiHo answered coolly, her eyes darted to the mirror in front of her and she noticed Mark walk behind her.
“Mark and I got into a fight yesterday.” Taeyong gasped and Mark snapped his head towards her after hearing his name. “What?” Both men asked shocked at the statement. “Mark hit you?” Taeyong asked once again pointing towards the bruise on JiHo’s face. “What are you talking about?” Mark stuttered over his words and turned his head to take a closer look at the bruise. JiHo didn’t say anything as Taeyong put down the camera on the table in front of them and started scolding the innocent boy.
Both JiHo and the make up artist were laughing and JiHo decided to grab the camera and point it towards both boys. “Oppa. I’m just kidding, leave poor Mark alone.” She explained, trying not to laugh again.
Johnny who had been watching everything happen had joined the group wordlessly. “Lim JiHo! You can’t joke about things like that!” The leader scolded and Mark let out a relieved gasp. “What?” She laughed at his expression. “I know we didn’t get into a fight, but I almost started second guessing myself that I somehow did do that to you.” With a hand on his heart, the panic lingered in his eyes for a few more seconds before it slowly vanished.
“You two are so gullible, oh lord.” JiHo chuckled and Johnny now settled between both boys, patting them both on their shoulders. “Taeyong you should’ve known better. If JiHo did get into a fight with Mark, we all know Mark would be the one to come out that with bruises. Not the other way around.”
She has these boys wrapped around her finger and she knows it!
[NCT 127 Talks "Superhuman", Tour, and KPop]
“What makes NCT 127 different from every other boy band?” Jaehyun’s eyes met JiHo’s, who is sitting on the front row of members next to Jungwoo. They shared a smile as Zach, the host, continues his question.
Johnny translated the question to all the other members and JiHo slowly brought the mic up to her lips. Once Johnny finished translating, the female voice of JiHo resonated through the room. “Well...” She stopped there with a nod and everyone started laughing.
After Taeyong and Johnny finished their answer JiHo grabbed her mic once again. “Just want to clarify, I’m not saying I’m the only reason we’re different, I’m just saying, if you’re calling us a boy band then of course me being a female member would technically already make us different from all other boy bands.” She quickly added.
“How does that feel? Being the only girl in a group of men.” Zach asked and JiHo shrugged. “It doesn’t feel abnormal to me. I think after knowing the guys for such a long time I just like, kind of found my spot with them and it just feels normal.” “I think JiHo sometimes forgets that she a girl...” Johnny added carefully, his voice turning a bit unsure at the end. With the boys laughing in the background JiHo waved a piece sign in front of the camera closest to her and started “acting cool” before talking into the mic with a deeper voice. “I’m part of the boys. Part of the homies. Ya know?”
JiHo sweetie, I know you wanna look cool, but all you’re doing is looking adorable. Please stop I’m gonna have a heart attack
[⚾️시티고 야구부⚾️ EP.1 라커 급습 | NCT 127 Baseball Team]
After Johnny’s joke about copying Mark(’s butt), Taeil spoke up, “Aren’t we missing someone?” “Where’s JiHo?” Yuta spun around once as if he was looking for the absent girl. “Tsk. Again, she’s late-” “Lee Haechan!” A voiced boomed off of frame.
JiHo walked in with a confident stride stopping in the middle of the room and staring straight into the main camera. “Don’t speak about your baseball team leader like that.” She said in a cold tone. “Sunbaenim, where were you?” Johnny asked. Since the age rolls were reversed, JiHo was now the oldest in the group. “I just came back from the gym as the leader of the cheerleading team who just finished practise.” “You’re also their leader?” Doyoung stifled a laugh and JiHo turned to him sending him a glare. He put up his hands in a defensive pose and took a step back after which JiHo turned back to the camera.
“Why? Don’t you believe me?” “I don’t know JiHo. It’s just that-” Mark stopped talking before being able to finish his sentence as the girl kicked up her left leg. She caught her foot with her left hand and pulled her leg up until it was next to her face, extended into a heel stretch. Her right hand was also in the air, showing of how great her balance and flexibility is. She kept the pose for a few seconds before bringing her foot back down to the ground. “Wow!” The boys gasped in surprised.
JiHo isn’t trying to be flexible, flexible is trying to be JiHo
She eyed Mark who quickly acknowledged the fact that she fit as the role of the cheerleading team. “Don’t underestimate me Markie.” The teasing tone along with the nickname sent a shiver down the boy’s spine, the other boys either oohing or being slightly scared themselves.
Why is Mark always the victim of JiHo’s teasing?? I can’t with them
[‘To You’ #3]
The whole ‘To You’ series was really sweet and emotional. So this isn’t as funny as the previous clips, but I felt like this still fits the theme so well. I also think that not that many fans have seen this before, so after this clip you should watch all 3 videos <3
PS. this isn’t the full clip but here are some of my favourite parts of Taeil’s message to JiHo
“It must have been hard right? Your position in the group is very special and it must come with a lot of pressure.” Taeil’s eyes fell into his lap, a sad smile on his lips. “But you always try to hide your hardships from the group.”
I believe what he means with ‘position’ is being the maknae of the group as well as being the only girl
“I wished that you could come to us more and open up about those things, because I know that everyone (in the group) would drop everything they were doing in a heartbeat to hear you out.” He took a deep breath before continuing.
“Haechan is the mood maker in the sense that he likes joking around and being loud, but you also are a mood maker. Just in your own unique way. You’re such a good listener and observer so you notice things other people might not. You approach members silently or make small gestures, which mean a lot, to cheer someone up. But you can also be funny and loud. I appreciate both of those sides of you.”
I’m not crying, you are ::>_<::
It was silent for a little as Taeil seemed deep in thought. “I know you don’t like to be treated in a more special way than the other members, and the older members really try not to show it. But in our minds... and in our hearts, you do have a special place. I know you are a strong person and can protect yourself just as well, if not better, than the other members, but I can’t help but want to protect you.”
“Whatever anyone says, those people who aren’t our fans or don’t understand us, I hope you don’t take their painful words to heart. Because you are just as fit to be in NCT as any of the other members.”
I’m so happy to see how much NCT cares for JiHo, not that I ever doubted that they didn’t, but seeing this was so heart-warming and JiHo’s reaction was so sweet as well as her message to Taeyong (but you have to go watch the original video for that ;-) )
[[Un Cut] Take #4 I ‘NCT - RESONANCE Pt. 1’ The Future ver. Jacket Behind the Scene]
The camera focused on JiHo who was currently doing her individual shots. She was wearing a beige oversized long sleeve that showed of her collarbones but covered up most of the rest of her body.
JiHo squatted down and tilted her head to the side to show of her jawline. The staff were complimenting her as the shoot went on.
A particular switch in poses had elicited a surprising response from one of the female staff members. “Wow~ Has she always been this pretty?” She said in awe, which caused everyone to start laughing and agreeing.
After JiHo’s shoot it was Ten and Kun’s turn. During Ten’s individual interview he brought up the event that happened before his shoot started. “I heard that the staff was surprised by JiHo’s visuals.” He chuckled. “My baby is very pretty everyone. Don’t forget that or you’ll be surprised and fall in love with her like the staff member did.”
I don’t know if I’m freaking out more because Ten just called JiHo his baby or because she called her very pretty so casually? Also thanks for the warning Ten, but I’m already madly in love with JiHo so... a bit too late for that.
[Idol Crushes? | HDIGH Ep. #xx Highlight]
“Weren’t you promoting (’Revolution’) recently?” Jae (Day6) asked AleXa who was sat next to him. She hummed. “Actually it was around the same time that NCT was promoting their music.” “Oh did you talk to them?” AleXa shook her head whilst laughing but then stopped suddenly as if she remembered something.
“She wasn’t promoting with them at the time, but I saw JiHo sunbaenim backstage.” This comment perked up Jae’s interest as he sat up in his chair. “Did you introduce yourself?” “Yeah she actually noticed me first and came to say hi.”
Diane, who was the person behind the camera gasped loudly. “Why haven’t you told us about this?! She knows you?” The small girl nodded embarrassed and then explained what happened on that day.
“She’s super nice and complimented my music and dancing. I didn’t think I’d ever been at such a loss for words as back then. I got so nervous because even though she’s really nice, she has such a strong presence? If you know what I mean?” Jae and Diane hum in understanding. “Just seeing her up close like that was so intimidating. Like she told me she was there to support her members so she didn’t have any makeup on, but she was still insanely beautiful.” Jae laughed at the girl’s dramatic explanation. “You sound like you have a crush on her.” AleXa stuttered for a second before replying. “I think I might!” They all laughed.
“Did you exchange phone numbers?” Diane asked and AleXa nodded excitedly. “We did! We don’t text each other often, but every once in a while she reaches out after a new podcast episode comes out to tell me about the parts she liked.” “Oh so she watches this?” Jae’s eyes widened. “Yeah.”
AleXa turned to the camera and waved. “JiHo sunbaenim, if you are watching this, thank you so much! I hope we can get closer someday.”
I don’t know AleXa that well, but I think a collab between her and JiHo would be so powerful!
Thanks for watching this video guys! And leave a comment on what kind of content you want to see next, byeeee o/

Summary:
Pairing: Steve Rogers x fem!Reader; Carol Danvers x fem!Reader
Characters: Sam Wilson, Wanda Maximoff, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Tony Stark, Bucky Barnes
Warnings: angst, language, shy reader, awkward situations, concurrence, Tony being Tony, implied smut (it’s barely there), love triangle
Divider by @writeyourmindaway
“So, will you tell us who it is? Come on, Y/N. We both know you’ve got a huge crush. Stop lying to us, young lady,” you giggle, feeling your cheeks heat up as Natasha and Wanda won’t stop bugging you.
“You know that we will not tell anyone, Y/N. Just tell us. I wanna know who your secret crush is. Tony, Clint, or maybe Bucky?”
“No,” you whine, hiding your face in the palms of your hands. “Can you not stop asking. I’m sure the person doesn’t return my feelings, okay. Look at me and then look at-“ you bite your tongue as you almost let a name slip. “Stop bugging me!”
“Y/N Y/L/N, we will not leave you alone until you tell us a name. I’m a master at interrogating people,” Natasha grins. “Come one. We are bored and need anything to talk about. Give us juicy details.”
“Fine,” you look around the hallway, biting your lower lip. “I might have fallen for a certain captain,” Wanda squeals, grasps your hand to get more details.
“Tell us more! When? Where? How long? Will you tell them?” you roll your eyes at Wanda’s questions, knowing all too well your feelings will remain unrequited.
“Like half a year ago. On the first mission together. And no – I will not tell them!” you purse your lips, aiming one finger at Wanda. “None of you will tell anyone either or I’ll kill you and make it look like an accident, I swear!”
Whilst you warn your friends – Carol, and Steve smile dopey. “I fell for her too,” both Captains admit to each other.
“Wait. What?” Steve frowns when Carol looks at him, giving him a warning glare before she pokes her finger into his chest. “She's referring to me.“
“Bitch, she's clearly talking about me,” Carol glares at Steve. “You will keep your hands to yourself. My shy little mouse is mine.”
“Captain, I must ask you to not hit on my doll. She’s all mine. I’m sure she meant me, not you, Carol,” hands-on his hips Steve declares you are his girl.
“Fuck off,” Carol retorts. “This girl is mine, not yours, Steve. Look for someone else. She’s obviously in love with me.”
“No, she isn’t. Y/N is my girl, not yours. You better accept your defeat and leave her alone, Captain Danvers. If you excuse me now; I’m going to ask her out.”
At the kitchen, not half an hour later you find yourself crowded by Steve and Carol. Somehow everyone else found an excuse to usher out of the room.
“So, do you like bikes?” Steve clears his throat, forcing a conversation on you.
“You mean if I like to ride one, Captain?” Steve grins, loving the way you used his title to address him. “I don’t know, to be honest. I never rode one before.”
“How about we go for a ride?” Carol jumps in, pushing Steve out of her way. She smiles widely, offers you a tea, the one she made for you whilst hitting on you as if her life depends on it. “Today?”
“I think Y/N wanted to go for a ride with me, Captain Danvers,” Steve quips. Oh-Captain America is a sore loser sometimes. “Right, Y/N?”
“I-I,” overwhelmed by their presence you start to whimper, before, without a warning, you dash out of the room, calling for Nat and Wanda on your way to your room.
“Well, that went well, Captain,” Carol sighs. “Did you have to scare her, Steve?”
“Me?” offended Steve looks at Carol, giving her a disapproving snort. “I tried to invite Y/N and you had to jump in and steal my date. Now she ran out of the room and it’s your fault!”
“No, it’s yours, Capsicle,” using the nickname Tony gave Steve on purpose Carol pushes against his chest. “That girl is mine, hands-off, Captain, or I’ll fight dirty.”
“I can fight dirty too,” Bucky snorts at Steve’s words while Sam stuffs popcorn into his mouth, enjoying the show. Clint and Tony joined ‘the show’ moments after you stormed out of the room and now they are all busy to watch Steve and Carol fight over you.
“Ten on capsicle to get a date with her,” Tony says.
“Twenty on Carol,” Sam retorts.
“Fifty on me,” Bucky snickers when all eyes land on him. “What? I’m not a Captain but a Sergeant. Maybe she got the title wrong, guys and lady. Now let me think about-“ pressed into the wall by Carol seconds later Bucky huffs. “I was just joking.”
“I said,” Carol glares at Bucky, “that girl is mine.”
“No, mine,” Steve runs out of the kitchen to get to your room before Carol gets the chance to talk to you first but Carol won’t give up that easily. After glaring at everyone in the kitchen one last time, she runs after Steve.
“To your left, Captain,” she smirks, easily outrunning Steve to knock at your door. “Y/N, please open the door. It’s me, your favorite Captain.”
“Doll, I’m here too, Y/N. I know I’m your favorite Captain,” Steve grins when Carol makes a face. He won’t lose you – no way.
“Captains?” dumbfounded you open the door, looking at Steve and Carol. “What can I do for you?”
“Tell us who you are in love with,” you gasp at Carol’s words. “We need to know as we feel the same. Now tell us and we can go on a date.”
“No, she will go on a date with me,” Steve insists. “She’s mine,” you whimper as Carol and Steve start to fight over you.
“Captains,” you try to find your voice when you to explain your feelings. “I like you both equally,” you blur out, eyes wide and fearful. “I can’t tell you that I like one more, Captains. I’m sorry.”
“You like us both?” humming Carol pinches the bridge of her nose. “You mean, you want us both?”
“Kinda,” you bite the inside of your cheek, chewing on it until you taste blood. “I can’t help it, Captain Danvers. You’re both so-,” unsure if you should tell them you dreamed of having both in a more intimate way you giggle.
“Doll,” Steve hums silently before he steps closer. “Does this mean you want us both to make love to you?”
“CAPTAIN ROGERS,” you gasp but your eyes lit up when Carol roamed your body with hungry eyes. “YES.”
“Oh-fuck me,” Natasha gasps. “Girl got a thing for both, Wanda. Clint won, again,” Wanda opens her wallet to hand Clint fifty bucks.
“It’s no fun to bet against Clint,” pouting Wanda looks at the money in Clint’s hand. “Such a shame we lost again.”
“Okay, everyone gets the fuck out of the hallway,” Carol glares at her teammates. “Steve, Y/N, and I will have a serious conversation now.”
“Will you be naked?” Tony calls from the end of the hallways. “Can you tape it? We’d like to have a detailed report.”
“We should clarify one thing – I will not give Y/N up, Steve.” adamant Carol grasps for your hand.
“Neither will I,” Steve takes your other hand, presses soft kisses to your knuckles. “What now? I mean-?”
“You could share me,” sometimes you can’t stop your mouth from running, that’s such a moment. “I mean, we could go on a date, all three of us. I’d like to have my favorite Captains all to myself tonight.”
“Steve?”
“Carol?” looking at each other your favorite captains agree to go on a date with you.
“It’s settled then,” you drag Steve and Carol into your room, ignoring Tony who sneaked closer to your room to spy on you. “We will eat in my room and talk.”
“Talk right,” Tony grunts. “Capsicle, wear a condom. Captain Glow don’t blind our best girl with your powers. If Capsicle gets her pregnant, I’ll be the godfather.”
“Tony, can you just not,” dragging Tony away Natasha grunts. “Stop bugging Y/N. Let them do-“ Natasha laughs, when you slam the door shut, exclaiming both captains are yours now. “Well, I guess we just lost our most adored bachelor and bachelorette to Y/N.”

More bakudeku kid headcanons if the kid turned into a villain?
I’m still mush brained but I’ll answer to my fullest capacity abshavha
First of all, I forgot everything I might have said before, so don’t hold me to that- TvT
Now,, I don’t think their kid would ever be a villain. Like, ‘the worst thing’ that could happen to the wonder duo’s child is that they turn out quirkless.
But really, with them as their parents, they’ll turn out better than if they did have any quirk.
Like, Katsuki would love the fuck out of them, and make it impossible for the child to ever feel ‘less or disabled’ because Katsuki would know, from having witnessed the shit quirkless people go through from watching Izuku and Aoyama living through that mess, and from experience he would have from his time being a hero.
And Izuku, he’d have his kid try out all the fields. As a child, seeing the wonder duo be heroes the society upholds as a symbol, there might be a feeling of compulsion to be a hero too- to carry on that name. Izuku would do his best to not let his kid be narrowed down to think that way.
More on Inko though, she’d meet the 4 yr old and would know what to say now; that he can be anything he’d want, that quirkless isn’t a disability; unlike what told to Izuku when he was a kid.
Okay how did we get here.. RIGHT HC’ss
Quiet kid growing up, but was very observant
Made their way through the hero commission, becoming one with power able to change, but he chose to crush society’s beloved hero-villain system they got going on
He’d always got sneers like;
‘To be the wonder duo’s kid, bet they were fed with a silver spoon’ They spent more time with their grandparents more than he did with his parents, so no, bkdk being pros wasn’t a blessing
‘Placement in the hero commission, wonders how they got there’ Worked their way up, never allowed shortcuts, they earned their place
‘Kid’s a brat’ Was humble to a fault
The applaud they got, ‘it was all because the wonder duo’. They reduced their efforts to ‘being the child of someone great’ (Bkdk always made mu efforts to correct the media, but they just flipped it to bkdk being modest)
Over time, they’d grown to resent heroism; the cheers and all that comes with it. Didn’t particularly love villains either, but they found reason behind villains’ actions
It didn’t help how they saw bkdk arguing about being reckless in battles. It made them question if it was worth being a hero. (They didn’t particularly get an answer for it)
Don’t get them wrong, they love their parents, but the amendments ‘just, had to be done’
A notorious ‘villain’ (held a gun but never got his hands dirty tho) covered by his job in the hero commission
The guy would be a hassle to say the least, slippery; he’d be the mastermind behind the ongoings of villain attacks and all
They have scars that they hide, unlike how bkdk wears them with pride
They’re a gambler (cuz I say so) Not a addict tho, just a hobby but they’re too good at it; can read people too well
Bkdk finding out, years too late,, when they found out, it was disbelief at first, but then they realised the detachment, distant looks. They decided to then cover up any and all slip ups, never told a soul.
Just to clarify, Bkdk would be great parents. This is a scenario where, whatever anyone might do to help you lead a good life, sometimes, things go ape shit and it’s the little things gradually shaping you to become the way you are. In the case, the kid saw too much shit, and the piled up resentment and hatred made them be the way they were.
I wouldn’t call them a villain, merely someone who wants out of this system because they got the backlash and dirt by doing absolutely nothing wrong.
#guess who saved this in the damn drafts after having completed the entire thing the day I got the ask and forgot to post it? 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃#boku no hero academia#bakudeku#izuku midoriya#katsuki bakugō#katsudeku#my hero academia#decchan#bnha alternate universe#ask#dude I wrote a whole ass Au wthh#I may have projected slightly but eh ヽ(ヅ)ノ

➳ Check out: my Enhypen masterlist
Park Sunghoon didn’t know whether his embarrassment could be elevated even further. His ears were already red, his cheeks were tinted burgundy as if he had been running around the school yard for the last hour, and his eyes were so desperately trying to find something to focus on instead of his friends’ faces that he already felt a sting in his eyes.
It wasn’t enough that his friends were openly talking about his crush, but they were also in the middle of persuading him to confess to her. Sunghoon would have been fine graduating high school without ever collecting the courage to tell her about his feelings because after all, how could he be sure that she would feel the same way? Maybe they had been talking when it had come to their after school English classes, but their conversations had always been limited to those times. Even though they were classmates, they both had their own circle of friends, and didn’t interfere with each other during the school days.
Speaking of which, the only reason the convincing suddenly halted was because Jay ever so casually walked into the classroom right at this time, hopping down beside Sunghoon, letting out a yawn in the meantime. When he sensed the tension in the air and the curious eyes on him, he looked up, furrowing his eyebrows.
“What’s going on?” He looked from Sunghoon to Taehyun and then to Hueningkai, and then to Jake who finally took it upon himself to briefly tell him about what was going on.
“We are trying to persuade Sunghoon to send in a confession to the school radio’s White Day special, but he doesn’t want to do it.” The Aussie boy broke it down to him, fingers mindlessly playing with the edges of his History textbook, chocolate-brown orbs hiding under the dark locks that were covering his eyes almost like a curtain.
“Why not? You wouldn’t dare to confess to her otherwise,” Jay retorted rather flippantly, and the look he got from Sunghoon was enough to let him know that he didn’t appreciate his comment even though it was true. Sunghoon knew that all too well that confessing face-to-face would have been all too much for his coy self, but the White Day event wouldn’t help him either.
“Because so many letters will be sent in. How am I going to make sure that she knows that my letter is about her, but without directly saying it out loud because I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable?” Sunghoon reasoned, letting out an aghast sigh. The last thing he wanted with this confession of his was for it to backfire, and to somehow end up hurting her with his immaturity and carelessness. If he was to do this for real, he would need to make sure that everything would go according to plan.
“Plus, there’s also a chance that she won’t be listening to the school radio’s announcement,” Taehyun reasoned with his usual cleverness and analyzing ability, but Hueningkai was of a different opinion, it seemed, as he added:
“Everybody listens to those, especially on White Day. Everyone hopes that romance isn’t dead,” he commented giddily, but when he realized that all eyes were on him, and he received a few confused and disgusted glares, too, he decided to clarify himself. “I mean… I hope so. Who knows? I might also get a confession.” He shrugged his shoulders, boasting a wide grin in the meantime.
“From whom? From the cleaning lady who always coos about your handsomeness?” Taehyun quirked an eyebrow, rather doubtful, but his witty remark earned genuine laughter from their friends. Jay even patted his shoulder, a clear sign of his approval.
“What can I do if I am handsome? It’s not my fault,” Hueningkai tried to save himself from further call-outs, his smile not wavering. More laughter could be heard from the boys while Sunghoon let his lips curl upwards, his previous tense state softening under the lessened pressure and attention. Even if his friend was making a fool out of himself, at least it wasn’t him who felt embarrassed for him.
“Anyways…” Jake cleared his throat, trying to divert the topic back to the original one.
“Just shoot your shot, man! They might not even select your letter,” Jay pointed it out rather flatly, and some might have said that he was crude, but he was actually a deeply caring guy. It was just that he was more like the adventurer and risk-taker type while Sunghoon was always trying to plan ahead and being careful about his words and actions.
“Now if you excuse me, I’m going back to sleep,” Jay said as he put the hood of his hoodie atop of his head, sinking lower in his chair, ready to take a nap before the first class of the day would start.
“But you just arrived,” Sunghoon mentioned, exchanging a glance with Taehyun who was already laughing at their friend.
“Exactly my point,” Jay responded before clicking his tongue and closing his eyes. It seemed that no matter how much he slept the night before, he could still sleep more, and it could be at school, in the library, on a random bench in the school yard or on the bus, he could sleep as safe and sound as if he was back home in his comfy bed.
“If you decide to go with the White Day event, we’ll help you write that letter if you want,” Jake suggested gently, putting a hand over Sunghoon’s shoulder, smiling at him with his trademark, angelic smile. The other boy smiled at him thankfully, both for his kind gesture and both for him trying his best not to make Sunghoon even more uncomfortable. He was really glad to have such friends around him.
In the end, the boys did help him to try and put together a letter that could convey his feelings without being too cheesy and seeming like a creep, incorporating little hints that could let her know that the letter was about her, not someone else. While all the boys were concentrating and trying to help out to the best of their ability (that actually meant Jake insisting on excluding Hueningkai’s random bursts of aegyo-like sentences and Taehyun’s list of pick-up lines that he had specifically researched for the letter beforehand), Jay was having way too much fun writing a boyfriendish song, even singing it out loud to the others.
No matter how awkward Sunghoon still felt, he was actually glad that he didn’t have to do it all alone, and that he had others who could supervise the contents of the letter. As he had never done anything like this before and he had never really paid much attention to the school radio’s confession letters, he seriously needed others’ opinion to feel more confident about his own one.
Nevertheless, when it came to the actual day of the confession event and he was in the classroom, listening to the school radio announcements with all his friends, he was as nervous as never before. He tried stealing glances in her direction, but it seemed like she was actually listening to broadcast, and he didn’t know how to feel about that. He wanted to run and hide in the toilet and stay here and wait for the moment realization would hit her hard at the same time. Gosh, why was his heart also beating so fast? He was probably super red, too. Great!
As they were listening to more and more confessions, Sunghoon had to admit that they hadn’t done a terrible job compared to the ones that had been read out loud. There were horrible, outright harsh ones that he wasn’t sure would be appreciated, and there were really embarrassing ones which made him question if the ones who had written those had actually considered the other party’s feelings.
And then, there were definitely interesting ones, too.
“Now, a very special confession. I guess it must be some kind of a song, but we couldn’t find the audio file attached to it, so bear with the lyrics only,” the announcer’s cheerful voice filled the classroom, earning a wave of laughter from the students who were listening.
“Who sends in just the lyrics of a song? What a dumbass!” Jay snorted, rolling his eyes in the meantime. As he was waiting for the continuation of the announcement, he reached for the bag of chips on his desk and popped some into his mouth.
“I’ll be your boyfriend. I’ll be your boyfriend. Yeah, baby, let’s go,” the announcer read out loud incredibly sternly, and Jay almost choked on his chips while Taehyun’s eyes grew comically wider. Jake stopped in the middle of writing his next set of to-do list for the day after, and Sunghoon’s face turned from red to pale real quick.
“Oh. My. Gosh. This is…” Hueningkai spoke up, alarmed. His eyes kept darting between the faces of his friends as he didn’t want to believe his ears. Well neither could Sunghoon who could already feel where this was going, and he didn’t like it in the least.
“I want to go into your cube. It’s transparent, through the blue waves,” the announcer kept going on with the lyrics, and if it wasn’t already painfully obvious what it was, Jake turned to Jay, all the boys’ eyes on him as they were waiting for his answer.
“Isn’t it the one you wrote out of fun? That song called ‘Let Me In’?”
“Yeeeaah,” he replied, taking a long time emphasising that one single word. He definitely didn’t expect his spur-of-a-moment song to be introduced to everyone at their school. Well, not that it was too bad, but coming to think of it… How did it get sent to the school radio? Considering his confusion, he sat up straight in his chair and turned to Sunghoon with his whole body. “Dude, why did you send it in?”
“I sent the one you said had the final version’ file name,” he clarified, his big doe eyes pleading for his friend to stop with his abruptly frustrated act. If someone was frustrated, then it was him.
“But this was the ‘final version’ document. The actual letter was the ‘final final version’. Haven’t you seen the group chat message about it?” Jay raised his voice, but Taehyun came to the rescue and put his hand over his friend’s. If they wanted to stay anonymous and not reveal to everyone in the class - and especially Sunghoon’s crush - that it was them who had been responsible for that song ending up with the school radio, then they couldn’t act so suspiciously.
“Oh no, we are doomed,” Jake mumbled under his breath, eyeing Sunghoon for his reaction. The boy merely sat there, devastated, all thoughts disappearing from his head, looking ahead of himself. Well, only until the next line of the song.
“Maybe I’ll hurt you. It might break your perfection.”
“I can’t listen to this! Please, stop!” Sunghoon whimpered quietly, his words becoming a mere jumble as he tried to cover his super red face with his hands. His embarrassment was now over the roof, even though it hadn’t even been announced that he should have been the one to send a letter in instead of Jay’s accidentally sent song. He couldn’t believe it. He had finally mastered up the courage to confess, he had even written that letter with the help of his friends, and for what? To wait another year for such an occasion?
But the truth was that she actually liked the way he got all too embarrassed and tried to hide his face with his hands even though she thought that it was merely because he had second-hand embarrassment from the song’s lyrics. She reckoned that he was really cute.
“Then, I’m not going to confess to her. Maybe it was the universe’s way of telling me that she doesn’t like me back.”
Sunghoon’s words echoed through the classroom where only the five friends remained. Hueningkai - who was peacefully drinking his favourite grape juice, humming a song to himself - almost choked on the drink - and overdramatically punched his own chest due to the aftermath -, the pencil in Taehyun’s hands stopped and he looked up from his homework straight into the raven-haired boy’s eyes - and Taehyun never looked up from his homework once he sat down to start working on it -, Jake’s lips parted as if he had seen a ghost, eyes wide in terror, and the pencil case fell from his hand that he was about to put into his bag.
The loud thud that indicated that the pencil case fell onto the ground was the only sound that woke Jay up from another nap of his, and when he sobered and saw that all eyes were on Sunghoon, he asked:
“What did you say?”
Taehyun was this close to smacking their friend in the shoulder, but he settled for a glare instead - but given Taehyun’s savage side, that glare was enough for the sleepyhead to actually realize the seriousness of the situation.
“You can’t give up now! You were so close to confessing!” Hueningkai - the ever so romantic - hollered, and it seemed as if he had been the one who was hurt by the boy’s words instead of the boy himself.
“I didn’t even get to do anything because I’ve submitted the wrong file,” Sunghoon reminded them of his mistake, his head hanging low. He wished he could have just plucked up his courage and confessed to his crush, but every time he even just thought about opening his mouth around her, he started hyperventilating. How was he supposed to say anything to her the next time they met if he was already scared out of his wits just by imagining what it could be like to confess to her face-to-face?
“But that letter is already written, you can use it anytime you want it to.”
“Taehyun’s right. Just print it out and hand it to her! Or leave it in her locker! You don’t even have to personally confess to her,” Jake suggested in full-support mode and patted Sunghoon’s shoulder who felt like the first flicker of hope could finally be found after that hell of a failure on White Day. His eyes immediately twinkled, the colours came back to the canvas of his pale skin, and he felt his lips twitching at Jake’s idea.
“Yeah, that seems like a good idea,” he noted with a bob of his head, and finally, his lips curled into a genuine smile. His friends started cheering for him loudly and with their balled fists raised into the air.
“Let’s be honest, you have genius friends,” Jay remarked smugly, and this time, Taehyun really did smack him.
“You weren’t even the one who gave him the idea,” he pointed it out, but Jay felt like his friends’ victory was his own, and so the two started bickering - in their own childish way -, but Sunghoon didn’t mind. He was already waiting to go home, print that letter out, put it into a nice envelope and start planning how he would come to school earlier the next day to leave his letter with her.
This time, everything seemed to go almost smoothly. Their printer didn’t break down out of the blue, there was enough paint to print out his whole letter, he bought a pretty envelope to put it into, he didn’t miss the bus in the morning, and he easily slid the envelope into the girl’s locker (thanking the one who had come up with the idea of having their names on their lockers, so he could know which one was hers).
After that, he had to wait, and that seemed to be the worst out of the whole thing. His nervousness came in waves, sending his already panicky thoughts into haywire, and he felt like going back, but the envelope had already been in her locker, and it was only her who could open it. He didn’t know whether he would want her to read it right away or not, but he was on the edge, biting down on his lower lip every fifth second.
His anxiety heightened when the girl walked into the classroom, and he couldn’t even look at her afterwards, so he opened a book of his, intensively looking at the words on the page that didn’t make sense given his state. It didn’t help either when his friends showed up, and started interrogating him whether she had read the letter or not. The truth is, he had no idea. She didn’t act differently than before, so he guessed that she would read it later in the day.
He was quite sad because of that thought though, and he was only half-heartedly doing everything that day, waiting for her to come up to him, but it didn’t happen. At least, he was sure that it wouldn’t happen that day after all of their classes were over, but it turned out that she was waiting for him at the school gate, and after his friends finally got the message and left (with Jay wiggling his eyebrows, Hueningkai clapping his hands while Taehyun and Jake were trying to play the damage control and prompted the other two to actually get moving instead of blocking the road by staying in one place), he could turn to her with a lighter heart.
“So…” She started, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Gosh, he just felt more out of place when she was acting so coyly in front of him. Not that he wasn’t usually shy, too, but still. It was so very awkward, and with his heart in his throat, he felt like passing out. Oh dear, he was right by not confessing to her face-to-face. He might have fainted! “I’ve read your letter.”
Even if he knew that she had done so considering that she had waited for him, his heart still missed a beat when she confirmed it. He felt his face flaring up, and usually when he got embarrassed, not only his face but his ears were also turning red, so he was sure that he looked like a real-life tomato.
“First of all, you were really brave for confessing like that. I might not have been able to do so,” she admitted, and let out a nervous giggle. Sunghoon laughed along with her because only if she knew what had happened before… “And I feel the same way, so…” She added, but awkwardly halted, not knowing how to continue. She looked up at him, helplessly searching for salvation in his eyes.
Sunghoon’s tense shoulders easened, and he let out a long, long sigh. He ruffled his raven-black hair at least three times before he felt like he could calm down. His heart was beating crazily fast nevertheless, so it didn’t seem like her confession was able to put his heart at ease, but at least his brain wasn’t making up worse and worse scenarios about her not liking him back.
“I don’t know how to do this…” She admitted, letting out another giggle. He was actually really relieved that he wasn’t the only one who felt this way.
“Me neither.”
“I guess we could start by hanging out more. Like today, too, if you want to,” she suggested after exchanging a shy glance with him, and he gave her such a wide smile that he was sure that all his teeth were showing.
“That sounds nice,” he gave in gleefully, ruffling his hair once more. He felt like dreaming, he honestly couldn’t believe what was happening. His crush liked him back, and now they were going to spend more time together apart from their after school English classes? What was it if not a dream? Gosh, he didn’t want to believe it!
Sunghoon thought that all the calamity was actually worth it for this moment, and a few streets further from at a tteokbokki place, his friends were thinking the exact same thing (and Jay was still insisting that they were all geniuses to make this happen).

I was talking to @agendratum earlier and I realized that I’ve never written anything with jin ling even tho I love him
“Uncle Jiang says that you punched my father once.” Jin Ling says, and Wei Wuxian almost jumps. When did this kid get so good at sneaking around?
“I punched your father twice.” Wei Wuxian clarifies, leaning back and holding a single finger up and grinning as if he were giving a lesson. He’s not even trying to hide the fact that he’s starting to love it when Jin Ling seeks him out, he’s already shuffled to the side and patted the spot right next to him, though whether or not Jin Ling decides to sit next to him is his own choice.
“How come? When I asked my uncle he only told me that I should ask you.” Jin Ling sits down, but leaves a few inches between them, just enough room to get up and run away in case Wei Wuxian were to say something especially embarrassing or shameless. Jiang Cheng used to do the same thing.
He doesn’t answer right away, he’s pretending that he has to think about it, grabbing up the jar of wine next to him and taking a sip thoughtfully. “The first time, your father said he didn’t want to marry your mother, the second time he insulted her.” Wei Wuxian had gone back and forth about telling Jin Ling the truth, but if he didn’t hear it from him, who would he hear it from?
When Wei Wuxian looks back at his nephew, Jin Ling is frowning in a way that’s wholly his father, his eye brows knit together. “You’re lying.” Jin Ling decides, his hands clutching his robes so tight his knuckles turn white.
“Am I?” Wei Wuxian asks with a grin, there’s his brother again.
“My father loved my mother, he built her a lotus pond just to show it.”
Wei Wuxian couldn’t disagree with that, he’d been long gone and in Yiling by the time the peacock had gotten it in his head that Jiang Yanli was a goddess walking in the mortal world, but even he’d heard the great love story of the second Lotus Pier.
“Your father did love your mother,” Wei Wuxian confirms, setting his wine off to the side and sitting up again, “but only after he offended her twice and ran away from her once.” Jin Zixuan wasn’t likely to come back from the dead to defend himself, so Wei Wuxian doesn’t stop himself from telling the whole truth, or as much of it as he cared to remember. “Shouldn’t your Uncle Jiang be the one telling you this story?”
Silence wraps around them like a too warm blanket, but Wei Wuxian doesn’t rush Jin Ling, he only looks over at him every few seconds to make sure his face isn’t so red that he looks as if he’s about to topple over.
“Uncle Jiang doesn’t like talking about my mother, it’s too hard for him.” Jin Ling’s voice is soft now, his fingers shaking as he lets go of his robe, but he doesn’t make a move to smooth it out where it’s wrinkled. “I stopped asking when I was little.”
The words are arrows through Wei Wuxian’s chest. How many times had Jin Ling asked Jiang Cheng for stories about his parents? How many of those requests were shot down or indulged, but just barely?
Wei Wuxian should shorten the hems of Jiang Cheng’s robes for this.
“He tried for a while, but he just looked sad, so I stopped asking.” One long moment passes and for half of it, Wei Wuxian thinks about reaching out and putting a hand on Jin Ling’s shoulder, but he stops himself. Jin Ling wasn’t like Sizhui, he might not want to be touched, especially not by him.
“Your mother had a crush on your father.” Wei Wuxian offers, though it sounds paltry, even coming out of his own mouth, still, he watches Jin Ling perk up at the scrap of information, his eyes getting wide and bright, just like his mother.
“Really?” Jin Ling shifts closer to him now, turning his knees towards Wei Wuxian as he nods.
“A big one, Jiang Cheng and I couldn’t believe it at first, but she liked him so much and he didn’t even know it!” The smile is coming back onto Wei Wuxian’s face again, his elbows coming to rest on his knees. He’d already mourned for his sister after he’d been brought back by Mo Xuanyu, the least he could do is tell stories about her to her son, but someone else would have to tell Jin Ling stories about his father, someone who had a better opinion of him than either Wei Wuxian or Jiang Cheng ever had.
The idea hits him and a grin spreads across his face before he can stop it. “A-Ling, has anyone ever taken you to meet your Auntie Luo?”

GX Month Day 24: “Exchange of Night and Day”
Darkness and Light. Today let’s take a closer look at these two cosmic forces and the duality of each. The Gentle Darkness, the Light of Destruction, Darkness/Nightshroud, and...?
“-light of hope!”
“Huh?” Jaden’s head snaps up. His character idles on the game screen without direction. He hadn’t been paying much attention to the conversation around him until he heard that and the conversation seems to have moved on already. “What did I miss?”
“Just Syrus begging Bastion to tutor him,” Alexis replies, barely looking up from her own notes.
Erm, yeah no, that doesn’t match up with what Jaden heard at all. “Gonna need exact words,” he tries again, hoping his friends don’t find it too weird.
Thankfully, all of them are well acquainted with ‘weird’ by now and Syrus answers without question. “I said he was my only light of hope.”
Oh.
He’s...heard those words before. Or Yubel has? Geez, it’s hard to tell anymore. His eyes drift to Jesse, staring intently at his own textbook, an erratic mix of kana and English letters scribbled on the open page of his notebook. He looks over at Christina, her eyes also on Jesse with a critical gaze and pensive frown. He looks back at Jesse. He feels like he’s on the edge of something.
“Oi, Jesse.”
No response. Actually, Jesse hasn’t reacted to much of anything at the table. Jaden reaches over to jab him with his toe. Jesse jerks, the hand he’d been leaning his chin on shifting to yank an earbud free. “Hva?”
Chazz casually snags the earbud, places it into his own ear, and abruptly makes a face. “Dude, what?”
“It helps me focus.” Slapping Chazz’s hand, Jesse retrieves his earbud. He pulls the ipod out of his pocket to pause the music before looking up at Jaden again. “You need somethin’?”
“The term ‘light of hope’ mean anything to you?” Jaden asks.
Chazz snorts. “What is that, the antithesis to the Light of Destruction?”
Jesse chokes as a clamor rises from the Crystal Beasts. “Light of what?”
“Something we had to deal with last year.” Jaden waves a hand. They’re getting off topic and he still has that nagging feeling that he’s missing something. If Yubel has any insight, she doesn’t offer it.
Jesse’s expression changes as he glances at the spirits milling about the room. “Is that why you wouldn’t let me leave the boat?” Amethyst snorts. Jesse rolls his eyes and mutters something that Jaden can’t immediately translate.
“Boat?” Hassleberry asks because yes, that’s the important question. This conversation has completely derailed from where Jaden wanted it to go. Not that he isn’t curious.
“Last year’s duel between North Academy and Duel Academy. I was hoping to run into you after watching your duel with Chazz the previous year, but my Beasts freaked out as soon as we got here and refused to let me leave the boat.”
The darkness within Jaden shudders and coils at the thought of Jesse being anywhere near the Society of Light. “Probably a good thing,” he mumbles. “So anyway, does it mean anything to you?”
“Light of hope?” Jesse clarifies and Jaden nods. Jesse glances off at the corner of the room pensively. “Not really. You’re the one who actually remembers stuff.”
“Not much.” Jaden slumps in his seat. And Yubel hasn’t shared a whole lot either, but Jaden can’t blame her when she’d still been picking through the shambles of her own mind until recently.
Bastion glances between them uncertainly. “Um, sorry, but I feel I’ve missed something. Remember what, exactly?”
“Past life.” Lives? Hell if Jaden knows. He picks up his GameBoy to resume his game.
Syrus jerks up, textbook falling against the table with a thump. “Jesse has a past life too?!”
“Hold on, what did I miss?” Hassleberry looks between Jaden and Syrus in absolute confusion, and Jaden realizes he never actually told anyone except Syrus, somehow, while recounting the events in Dark World. (How it came up is beyond him considering he’s pretty sure he didn’t mention the Yubel thing, but that whole conversation is also a blur of exhausted emotion in his brain. Fuck. He might have mentioned the Yubel thing.) “What’s the little guy know that I don’t??”
“It’s not important,” Jaden mumbles, sinking a little further in his seat as he debates hiding under the table.
“Apparently, yeah, though I don’t remember it,” Jesse says in answer, and Syrus just goes back to his textbook with a quiet murmur.
“That explains a lot.”
Both are entirely too nonchalant in Jaden’s opinion.
Christina stares at the two of them like she’s just had the revelation of the century, and Jaden officially slides under the table. He just wants to pass finals! Not deal with any of this bullshit.
“Lucky!” Blair whines. “I wish I’d met Jaden in a past life. Maybe we’d be closer.”
There’s no stopping the tiny hysterical giggle that bubbles out of his throat. Jaden highly doubts that would make a difference. Obsessively crushing on him or not, Blair has a genuine enthusiasm that absolutely terrifies Jaden on a bad day. Yeesh, no wonder Syrus always seemed half scared of Jaden their first year. Jaden would have been scared of himself too if he thought that BS was genuine.
“Are you coming back up here?” Bastion leans down to peer worriedly at where Jaden has hunched into himself on the library floor.
“No, thanks. I’m good here.”
A chair scrapes across the floor as one of his friends gets up to go do something and a pillow from one of the library couches is shoved under the table when they return. Jaden looks up to see Alexis on the other end. “Uh, thanks.” Geez, his friends really have stopped questioning the weird shit he does. Or maybe weird shit in general? Whatever, he’ll take it.
Arranging himself on the pillow, Jaden settles in for the long haul, only half paying attention to his game as he debates the pros and cons of wrangling information about this ‘light of hope’ thing out of Yubel. Because he’s pretty sure she knows something.
Jesse listens to country music. Chazz - who I imagine has some knowledge of American culture being from a family of wealthy businessmen - is appalled.

5 Reasons Roman Is Infuriating (And Why I DO NOT have a crush on him)
Chapter 4: A Date With Destiny
Read on AO3 Chapter 1
Word count: 2991
Tw: Food, Almost an innuendo, Fear of not being accepted for orientation
~~~
"I think I'm ready."
Logan looks at himself in the mirror, adjusting his bowtie. He hadn't gone super extra with his 'date' outfit, despite Roman's insistence to go big or go home. (Which wouldn't really matter, as Thomas is home right now, and therefore they wouldn't need to go very far.)
Just a few changes, to treat himself. The blue striped bowtie, obviously, some black dress pants, black socks and a black dress shirt instead of a polo. He also tried out a new shampoo, just for that extra self-care. That may sound like a fairly big change, but Roman looked uncomfortable when he presented the outfit.
Roman waves his hand about, diverting his eyes. "Ugh, whatever. You look great. I still think a full tux would've been a better choice."
"That would most likely be overdressing. I don't want to go into this date looking like a buffoon, now do I?" He retorted, slipping on his dress shoes. They're sleek and black, with a heel that gives him just that extra added height.
"Pfft, coming from the Nerdy Professor! You look like a buffoon all the time, I'm just doing you a favor."
"You don't think I'm ready like this?" Logan asks.
"You do. You're rocking it. No romo." Roman says, giving him an encouraging pat on the shoulder.
"No... Romo?" He asks.
"Uh, yeah. Like... Uh, romantic. I invented it. Just now." Roman says, nervously fiddling with his sash.
"Oh." And if that doesn't feel like a metaphorical stab to the gut, Logan's not sure what it is.
Roman stands for a few seconds in silence, before looking away, into the mirror. "Now, go get your Daisy, Loguigi."
"That was a stretch, but thank you." Logan takes Roman's hand, squeezes it (he's sure Roman won't mind. He may think of it as a reassurance to calm Logan's nerves. Logan thinks of it as he wants to hold Roman's hand), and walks to the door.
"Logan-" Roman says before he can leave, and Logan turns back to him. He opens his mouth, closes it, opens it again, and seems to realize that Logan's waiting for him to say something. His hand reaches towards him, then recedes.
"Yes?"
"Good luck." He slumps, giving what seems to be an encouraging smirk. Logan nods, adjusing his bowtie once more, and strutting out of the room. If he had a cape, it would be flowing behind him dramatically, due to the sheer energy of his determination. Tonight is going to be the start of a big change.
"Alright Patton, prepare yourself for the strangest date you'll ever go on." He says in full confidence.
~~~
Patton sat at the dining table, feeling certainly awkward. Things certainly looked... Different. It was dim, mostly because the only light sources were an array of candles and a strand of fairy lights. There was a silky tablecloth thrown over the table, and a lovely bouquet of red roses in a glass vase as the centerpiece. There were also two glasses, and a bottle of red wine. Soft violin music played from an unknown source.
Usually this was something Patton would coo at. He always loved romance between people. Whenever Thomas and his boyfriends over the years hung out, it would be all he'd talk about. How happy he is for them. He'd even help Roman out with helping Thomas in his gestures of romance. It's true, Patton loved romance.
However, not when it was directed at himself.
He didn't want to be rude and leave, obviously. Logan set this up, and the last thing Patton wanted to do was break his heart beyond repair. He loves Logan as a friend, and he cares about him, and the emotions he barely lets himself show.
Patton twiddles with his thumbs, sweating quite a bit. He wonders what Roman has to do with this. He's certainly not also going to be here, unless this is a three-way date. That is unlikely, as there are only two chairs. Perhaps he's the wing-man? That would make sense, as he's much better in the romance category than Logan. But wait a minute, why would he help? Doesn't Roman-
"This is atmospheric." Patton gets pulled out of his thoughts by Logan standing there, looking at the decor. He takes a seat. Pouring himself a glass of the wine, he takes a big sip, before setting it down. "Patton, I have something to tell you."
Oh no.
Patton's sweating buckets now. "B-before you do, I just want to tell you that I respect you Logan, and that you're a very good person, and that I cherish the time we spend together, but I guess I haven't told you some very important information about myself, and I hope this doesn't hurt you too bad, it's that-" He takes a deep breath, about to spill. He's always been scared of this moment. Didn't he already tell Logan? Does he not believe in his identity? Patton opens his mouth to speak.
"You're aromantic. I know that Patton, and I respect that. Your orientation is completely justified and valid. I was going to tell you that this was not my idea. I do not harbor any romantic feelings for you, and I certainly don't expect you to either." Logan says, taking another sip of wine.
"Oh."
Well, that makes Patton feel much better.
"Then... Why are we here?" He asks, the nervous feeling replaced by confusion.
"Well..." Logan blushes as red as the wine. "I happened to be... Discussing my 'lack' of romantic feelings for... a side, which I realised was in fact a falsehood, and then that side happened to swoop in right after I realized, and mistook my presentation for being about you. Therefore, he decided to set us up."
The cogs in Patton's brain start to turn. He's not exactly known to be the brightest of the bunch, but he thinks he can decipher this one.
"Nm...Teh... Oh, it's Roman." He looks at Logan, who lowers his head into his hands.
"Yes. Yes it is." He admits.
"So, he doesn't know." Patton concludes.
"No, no he doesn't."
The words finally settle in, and Patton's face brightens significantly in a matter of milliseconds. "Oh my god! Logan! You like him!" He stands up, and jumps for joy. He twirls around the room a few times, and then pulls up Logan and gives him a hug. "I'm so proud of you kiddo."
"Thank you Patton. It certainly felt strange admitting it." Sighs, hugging him back. They break off soon after.
"Why didn't you tell him?" Patton asks, a little bit worried.
"I don't think I'm quite ready yet." They both sit down. "That's actually why I'm here. I was wondering if we could keep up a sort of facade for a while, until I'm ready to tell Roman. Obviously, we won't make anything official, but I could use your help, as I am not very skilled in this romance business, and we could use fake dates as a sort of counseling session. I could.. Use your help." Logan admits.
Patton is surprised, but delighted. "Oh! Well, thank you for telling me kiddo. I wouldn't mind helping you out." He pats Logan' shoulder encouragingly. "Do you... have a plan?"
"Not yet. I didn't want to start without you, in case I would need to scrap the whole thing." Logan takes another sip of wine.
“That’s absolutely A-okay. I don’t know if I’d be much help today though, cause this roller-coaster ‘date’ has really tired me out!” Patton says. (He’s never quite been put on the spot, and then given a plot twist like that one before. Oh wait, haha, he has.) He needs a bit of a mental break before he does any of that adultery thinking.
Logan looks around the room. “We aren’t on a roller coaster.”
“It’s an expression.” Patton clarifies. He sighs, adjusting himself on the seat. “I forgot that I haven’t come out to Roman yet. Or the others, for that matter.”
“You don’t have to if you aren’t comfortable. There’s never a bad reason not to come out.” Logan assures him, finishing his glass of wine. “And if you ever need my help, I will be there to support you in whatever ways I can.”
“Alrighty kiddo.” He smiles, looking to the kitchen.
“Do we have any leftover cookies?”
Patton suddenly looks guilty. “Well… About that.”
“Patton.” Logan’s gaze snaps to him, surprised. “Last time I checked, there were at least five left.”
“It wasn’t just me! Janus had one too!” He pleads, stating his case.
“One? That leaves four.” Logan squints at him. “I wanted at least two more for myself.”
A light in Patton’s brain ignites, and he jumps up. “Oh! What do you say we turn this into a baking ‘date’ then??” He does over exaggerated quotations with his hands on ‘date’.
“Bake ‘date’ it is then.” Logan fixes his bowtie in steely determination, and they both make their way to the kitchen.
~~~
“How did the date go?” Roman asks when Logan returns to his room, a giant fluffy red robe draped over himself, face mask on, and nails in the process of being painted. He’s got some showtunes that Logan doesn’t know the name of playing from a vinyl record player, which is illogical, because he’s pretty sure the musical is modern and that they can’t play voices, but he doesn’t comment.
“It went surprisingly… Well. He told me he may need a few more dates to make a decision.” Logan lies, trying to put anything other than indifference in his voice.
“Oh.” Roman looks taken aback for a second. “That’s great Specs. I’m proud of you.” The shaky hand he was painting swerves off to the side, and nail polish gets all over his finger. He looks at it, sighs, and puts the brush back into the bottle.
“You know, it isn’t a good idea to paint your nails in bed.” Logan sits on the edge, (of his own bed. Strange how Roman didn't just go back to his own room. He’s quite the stark contrast, him and his items bright red in a sensible dull, midnight blue room.) and turns his torso to face him.
“But it’s so much more dramatiiic. Besides, you told me not to touch your desk, and I am a princ- uh, a man of my word.” He laughs a little nervous laugh. “Besides, I can just clean it up with the powers of magic.”
“That’s nice.” Logan says, distracted by Roman’s nails. He’s hiding the hand he messed up. On his non-dominant hand, he has masterfully done nails, red with golden designs, such as a crown on his middle finger, a flower pattern on his pointer, thumb and pinky, and on the ring finger there’s an ‘L’...
Logan gently extends his hand. “Can I see?”
“Oh, um, yeah.” Roman lets him take his hand. Up close he notices that the gold is sparkly. Certainly a touch that is in character.
“What does the ‘L’ stand for?” Logan asks, looking at him.
Roman seems to burst red in the face. “O-Ooh it means ‘Left’. I… Often forget which direction is which, so I put it on my nails to remember. There’s no second meaning behind it or anything. Not at all.” He smiles wide.
Now Logan suspects there may be a second meaning, but he does not comment. “Is it okay for me to see your other hand?”
“Oh, you wouldn’t want to, I mean, it’s not nearly as good and it isn’t at all finished and I just made a mistake-”
“I didn’t ask if I would want to see it. I asked if you were okay with me seeing it.” Logan cuts his self-deprecating ramble off, assuring him softly. “I won’t look for the imperfections if you don’t want me to.”
“I…” Roman sighs and nods. “Go ahead.”
Logan takes Roman’s right hand gently with his own, and brings it close enough to inspect. It retains the same colors, but even with just the base red layer it looks a little bit less neatly done. The color extends past the cuticle, and you can see little bumps and imprints of things that accidentally touched the nail before it could fully dry. It wasn’t bad, per se, because those things could easily be fixed without removing the entire coating, but it probably seemed pretty bad to Roman when comparing it to his other hand. And then there was the streak, which was unfortunate but can be arranged.
“I can help you with this hand, if you’d like.” He offers, much to Roman’s surprise.
“Sure… But you don’t have to-”
“Preposterous. I want to help, and although I am not a master in the arts and creating designs, I happen to be a master duplicator. I believe Virgil described it as ‘cloning but like without the technology part and shit’. I even remade an exact duplicate of a frankly disgusting and creepy doll for Remus from scratch.”
“Oh.” Roman laughs softly. “Talented.”
“Yes. I am.” Logan says, internally giddy from the compliment. He uncaps the nail polish remover from a very fancy tray, where all the supplies are stationed on. “We just need this for the stain.” He takes a cotton pad, letting go of Roman’s hands to wet it, and recaps the bottle. He retakes Roman’s right hand, and lightly swipes the pad across the smear.
“You smell like baking.” Roman notes, barely over a whisper.
“That makes sense. We did some baking. Mostly me, and he kind of watched until they were ready to decorate.” He places the cotton pad in a little glass junk bowl on the tray.
“Are you sure he’s not just going to use these dates to make him cookies?” He says lightheartedly, tapping his other hand along to the sound of the music.
“Perhaps” Logan laughs a little bit. “Actually, I set aside a bunch for you. They’re in a bag, wrapped in a ribbon. That usually wards off everyone else from eating what’s inside for a few days, but do get to them before the fourth day because that’s often when Remus loses his patience.” He doesn’t admit that it was a spur of the moment decision, and that he felt like a lovesick fool setting aside those for him. He did admit that to Patton though, who chuckled.
“Mmm, thank you. What kind?” Roman asks, as Logan uncaps the red nail polish bottle and starts applying a light coat on each nail to even things out.
“Cranberry and White Chocolate Chip.” Roman’s favorite. That may have also been on purpose.
“Oh.” He says, and that’s where that subject of conversation ends. Logan continues applying the coating, then recaps the bottle.
“Alright, this will need to dry.” Logan guides his hand to a solid resting place. They sit quietly for a moment, only the sound of what he recognizes as Razzle Dazzle playing. It’s quite strange to have music in here. The rows and rows of dark-wood bookshelves, kept neat and clean, seem much brighter like this. His planning cork-board, with strings run around and pictures and notes in a neat order (along with the depressing sight of his calendar), looks less dull. Maybe it’s his mood. Maybe it’s just Roman.
“Logan?”
“Yes?”
Roman scoots over, without moving his drying hand. He leans in closely, looking just above Logan’s eyeline.
“Y-yes?” He squirms as Roman reaches with his dry hand to the top of his head. He shakes Logan’s hair, and he presumes it looks like a mess now.
“Flour.”
“What?” Logan asks, as he returns to sitting like he did before.
“You had flour in your hair. It was bothering me.” Roman informs him, pointing to his head.
“Ah.” They return to their silence.
When Logan determines the perfect time for the polish to dry, he uncaps the glittery gold nail pen. Using the other hand as reference, he copies the designs finger by finger, putting all of his concentration into it.
“And… We’ll put an ‘R’ here... ” He tries his best to copy the font of the swirly ‘L’. It looks pretty good, if he does say so himself. Which he does say out loud.”
“Yeah, it does. Thank you Logan.” He looks up at Roman, who smiles a very shy smile. He suddenly brightens, and jumps up, rattling the tray and scaring Logan. “Aha! I’ve thought of a perfect nickname! Holm Office Photopy Machine! I need to write that down.” He fumbles around, and then summons himself a very used-looking sketchbook. He stays standing on the bed, flipping through pages and then scribbling it down.
“That certainly is long.” Logan adjusts his glasses in surprise.
“Long like my- Sorry that was a strange thought.” Roman makes his things disappear, checks his nails, and then flops back down onto the bed.
“I hate to bother you, but at one point I’m going to have to sleep on here.” He watches as Roman unsticks his face-masked face from the bed in disgust.
“Why did I do that- Oh, yeah, sorry.” Roman gets up, looking guilty, and certainly not as fancy as he did before, fibres from the blankets stuck to his face mask and some of the mask still attached to Logan’s bed. Still, he’s got his stupid smile on his face, and that power stance. He’s…
“Wonderful.” Logan says under his breath as Roman’s turning to leave.
Unfortunately, he heard, and he turns back, confused. “Huh?”
“One earful.”
“Alright.” Roman looks perhaps even more confused, but turns back and sinks out, with a “Buh-bye Specs.”
When he’s out of Logan’s room, he snaps his fingers to rid of the mess (He left the tray there too. The nerve. The gall. He sends it to Roman’s room, and prays that it lands somewhere incredibly inconvenient just for revenge sake. He also keeps the record player, because he could use some music in his life) and prepares for bed.
Step 1: Complete.
MC had a crush on a different brother
Genre: angst, fluff Warnings: very vague nsfw on Lucifer’s and Asmo’s parts Summary: the brother you’re dating finds out that you used to like another brother A/N: reader is gender neutral! Also, I’m pretty sure this is the same person but just in case it somehow isn’t I added both. Also, if it is the same person, guys, please don’t do this. I see every request and am working as fast as I can. Don’t spam me. Thank you and I hope you enjoy :)
Lucifer:
it’s simple, really
he was a mix of disgust and anger
I mean, how could you like such a dingus before dating himself?
he thought you had good taste, but maybe he jumped to conclusions too soon
c’mon, Mammon, really?
out of all of his brothers?
seriously?
he just doesn’t understand
he pretended not to be bothered by it, other than showing you his signature frown and a sigh
“It’s all in the past,” he reassures you but it kind of sounds like he’s trying to reassure himself
but you noticed that he wouldn’t let you near “the dingus” without him there as well
after a week of not being able to sit next to Mammon at the table, go shopping with him, or anything else really, you decided enough is enough
you walk to his study and walk in without even knocking, not that you needed to
“Darling, you don’t need to worry about Mammon. It was a fleeting crush that lasted all of a week,” you promise
he raises a brow up at you before smirking
“Funny that you think that it bothered me,” he says all cool like as if it really didn’t bother him
he tugs you onto his lap and gives you a kiss, staring up at your beautiful face
“Maybe I should mark you to remind my brother just who you belong to,” he whispers in your ear before starting to suck hickeys on your neck
Mammon:
when Mammon finds out you had a crush on him out of all the possible options
his whole body surged with jealousy
why Asmodeus?
what was so great about that overdramatic f boi
nothing, that’s what
he doesn’t even bother trying to hide how mad he is
he even finds Asmo and goes off on him
“Oh? (Y/n) has a crush on me?” the flirty man coos, smirking at you
next thing you all know, Mammon is in his demon form and gripping the front of his shirt
“Had! Had a crush on you! They’re dating me now! The Great Mammon! Don’t get it twisted!” he shouts in his face
you’ve never seen Mammon in his demon form other than at the ball that Diavolo held
Asmo stares up at his elder brother, his eyes widened
he did not see that coming for some reason
you’re quick to walk up to Mammon, placing your hands on his back and arm
“Babe. Hey, it’s okay,” you soothe, pulling him away from Asmo
he relaxes a bit, his heated glare still on Asmo
“Baby, look at me,” you whisper, placing your hands on the side of his face
it takes a moment but he eventually looks at you, his glare disappearing when he makes eye contact with you
“I don’t like him anymore. I liked him for like a week. I love you and only you, okay? I don’t want him, I want you,” you reassure
and just like that, his demon form is gone and he pulls you into a tight hug before giving you a passionate kiss
“I knew that! Why wouldn’t you want The Great Mammon?”
Levi:
when he discovers that you used to like his brother, he’s shocked
he’s jealous, to say the least
what if his brother likes you and takes you away from him?
Beel wouldn’t do that, right?
he only cares about food
there’s no way he likes you
you can see the gears turning inside of Levi’s head, a frown hanging heavy on his face
you smile softly as you tug him to the bed and lay him down, cuddling into him
“Hey, don’t worry about it. I don’t like him anymore. I just brought it up cause I thought it was funny,” you say softly before giggling
Levi nods his head, taking a deep breath before tugging you closer to him
he believed you but it was hard to get over it
he’s not the Avatar of Envy for nothing
it took a while of reassuring, cuddles, and kisses for him to completely calm down
Satan:
this man is furious
not that he can help it
he’s the Avatar of Wrath for crying out loud
you didn’t even mean to tell him
it kind of just slipped out
you knew he’d react like this and that he’d make it a big deal
but it makes him even angrier that you hid it from him
he’s quick to find Lucifer
Lucifer is surprised to see that he’s in his demon form
everyone is, for that matter
Satan tries to keep his anger in check, knowing he’s overreacting
he just can’t control the blinding rage that consumes him
“Satan, think before you a-”
“Shut up!’ he snaps, cutting Lucifer off before taking deep breaths
you run to catch up, panting when you finally find him
“Oh lord,” you groan, quickly going over to them
before you can even speak to try and calm him down, Satan is speaking again
“You’re always one-upping me and it’s really starting to piss me off!”
he looks ready to attack Lucifer, so you quickly step between the two
“Hey, it’s alright. Calm down, love.”
that didn’t seem to work
“How can I calm down? You used to like him! You probably still do! Why wouldn’t you, right?”
you frown up at him, quickly and gently grabbing his face with your hands
you swiftly kiss him, knowing that’ll calm him down a little bit
“I love you. You and you alone. Not Lucifer. None of your brothers. No one else. Just you. I love you,” you say against his lips, watching him slowly calm down
“Okay. I know. I’m sorry. I love you,” he whispers back, holding you tightly against him
Asmo:
Asmo’s honestly not that bothered by it
I mean, you chose him for a reason
no one can make you scream their name like he can
why would he be jealous of Satan?
I mean, have you seen his hair?
or the way he dresses?
if anything, he teases you both about it
“You used to like Mr. Librarian over here?”
“Satan, do you find (Y/n) attractive?”
Satan didn’t even know that you used to like him
which makes sense since you very clearly clarify that you only liked him for a week or two
“I’m not surprised you got over him quickly. I’m way more attractive and just an overall better boyfriend,” Asmo boasts
Satan wanted to argue that he’d probably be a better boyfriend but he didn’t want either of you getting the wrong idea
Asmo eventually went as far as to invite him for a threesome
Beel:
Beel didn’t even start liking you until you started flirting with him
now, he’s head over heels for you but in the beginning, he barely knew you existed
when he finds out you used to like his twin brother, he’s shocked but not really surprised at the same time
he tells you that he understands if you’d rather date Belphie, a pout on his lips
this poor baby boy omg my heart
you frown and bring him into a hug, holding him tightly to you before giving him a kiss
“I don’t want him. I want you. I only liked him because he seemed like a cool, mysterious, bad boy. I mean, he was locked inside the attic. I was very curious,” you say honestly, smiling up at him
he does that cute chuckle thing he does before giving you another kiss
guys my fragile heart literally can’t write this fluff
my heart is swelling just by imagining this
Belphie:
he’s quite a bit upset, to say the least
it makes sense to him though
it feels like he’s been locked up in the attic for like half the time you’ve been here
he becomes very insecure after hearing this new information
it just makes sense
Levi has known you and gotten to know you longer than he has
why wouldn’t you like him?
you have to spend a while reassuring him that you love him and not Levi
“Baby, I instantly got a crush on you when I met you,” you admit
he looks up at you with round, saddened eyes
he looks like a kicked puppy
“Really?” he asks unsurely
“Yes! Do you know how cool I thought you were? I can’t even explain it.”
he smiles at that
“You thought I was cool because I was locked up in the attic?” he asks, a teasing lilt to his voice
you giggle and nod your head, wrapping your arms around him
“Yes, I did. You were just so mysterious and hot. I wanted to know you better and I’m glad I got the chance to. I got a lovely boyfriend from it,” you reply, hoping to boost his ego to make him feel better
he smiles even more at that
“You think I’m hot?” he teases further
you scoff and roll your eyes, crossing your arms over your chest
“Is that the only part you heard?”
For the writing prompts, 48 ‘meeting again at the high school reunion’ :D
👀👀👀👀👀
****
“That’s Steve Rogers.” Tony gasps. “It can’t be. It - That’s Steve Rogers. Oh, my God!”
“Oh, my God.” Pepper says, long-suffering.
“Did you know about this?!”
“Yes, Tony, I keep tabs on every single one of our former classmates - of course not, why would I know this?”
“He’s tall!” Tony exclaims, maybe a little too hysterically, because a few heads turn in his direction, shooting him confused and worried looks. “He used to be shorter than me! And he was skinny, he had asthma, he - what happened to him?!”
Because something must have happened! Something, because people don’t just grow like that out of nowhere! Not that it hasn’t been years, because it has, but Tony thinks has the right to be shocked; He is not one for wet sciences and genetics, but he can’t imagine how much can he assign Steve Roger’s utter and complete transformation to “grow spurt” and not straight up “scientific experiment gone incredibly out of hand”, because that shouldn’t be possible.
Steve used to go up to Tony’s shoulder - look at him now! What the hell.
“Can you calm down for a second, it’s not a big deal.” Rhodey says unimpressed.
“How can it be not a big deal-”
“It really isn’t.” Rhodey insists, sounding maddeningly bored. “People get grow spurts all the time, just because you didn’t doesn’t mean other people can’t either.”
Tony sputters, wildly offended.
“And it’s not like he’s all that different. You can still definitely tell it’s him.” Rhodey muses, taking one long, considering glance at tall, built like a goddamned tank Steve Rogers, and he dares to snort a laugh at the sight of Tony’s utter bafflement. “And don’t act like you didn’t have the most ridiculous crush on him when he was small, because you did, and everyone knew. This is nothing new for you.”
“Not everyone.” Tony rebuffs, which is stupid, because what he meant to say is that he didn’t, he didn’t have a crush on tiny Steve Rogers, except maybe he kinda did, okay, and who is Rhodey to make fun of him for it, when he had a crush on Wilson for an entire year?
“Wow.” Pepper says, blinking slowly, halfway through a laugh. “That was very convincing, I am very impressed.”
“Actually - you know what, I will not stand here and have all these lies about me - I am leaving you both here.”
“Go talk to Steve, then.” Rhodey dares.
“Fine!” Tony says, huffing. “I will!”
He takes two steps forward - and stops.
“I-”
“Tony.” Pepper threatens before he can even turn. “Go.”
Alright. He can do this.
It’s just Steve Rogers. No big deal.
Christ, it’s Steve Rogers.
It should not be a big deal, but it kind of is. It is for Tony, at least. Okay, maybe Rhodey is right and Tony did have a bit of a crush on Steve back then, but - how could he not? Okay? Tony’s pretty sure half the class had been kinda in love with the guy, even if Steve used to be, and Tony’s quoting here, “like that” and “no one wanted to go out with him”. Which was, for starters, not true, because Tony would have definitely gone out with Steve if Steve had asked, and two - Tony knows for a fact that Steve and Sharon dated for a couple of months just after their graduation and Steve had definitely still been tiny when that happened, because they still talked back then.
Tony missed him, when he moved to the West Coast. He didn’t want to stop talking to Steve, it just happened. Steve had always been amazing. And gorgeous. And Tony liked him, a lot. Of course he missed him.
Tony just... He never told him that, because how could he? How could he tell Steve that and not completely give himself away, with that ridiculous crush of his?
But he’s an adult now. He can handle Steve Rogers, as pretty and incredible and freakishly built he might be. He’s fine. He’s got this.
“Steve Rogers!” Tony bellows, with practiced ease and smugness, gesturing to Steve with unabashed appreciation. “Look at our leader, ladies and gentlemen!”
Steve turns to face Tony and - oh.
Oh, Tony doesn’t have this. At all. Nope.
“Tony.” Steve says, and his voice is deeper now, Tony feels like he’s going to combust. “God, it’s so good to see you!”
Tony has to look up to face him now - his absurdly blue eyes, his cheekbones, his lips - oh, Christ, Tony might still be a little bit in love with Steve Rogers.
“Great to see you too.” Tony pats him on the shoulder - all muscle, just like the rest of him now - and pretends he’s not shaking. “How long has it been?”
“Too long.” Steve smiles, and steps back so he can make room for Tony to step forward, and only then Tony realizes that the other people present, meaning the people he just rudely and loudly interrupted in favor of his flawless act of totally not being affected by the sight of Steve, are Wilson and Sharon.
“Tony, hey.” Sharon greets him kindly, and Wilson surprisingly also cracks a smile and raises his drink in a welcoming gesture.
“The whole class rep team together!” Tony exclaims, a little delighted, a little fucking terrified. “Where is our resident troublemaker, then?”
“Standing right next to you?” Sharon laughs, and pays Steve no mind when he shoots her a very unimpressed glare. “C’mon, Steve, we all know between you and Barnes, you are definitely worse.”
“Yeah. And hey, you know just because we ain’t kids anymore doesn’t mean Barnes can’t kick your ass, right, Stark? In fact, he might kick your ass harder, so you watch out for that.” Wilson jokes, his expression full of amusement.
“Barnes loves me too much.” Tony says, and Wilson full-on snorts, the sound echoing in his cup as he takes a sip. “What? He does. We all know that his problem with me was because he secretly loved me and totally not because I broke his arm on PE once.”
“Was it now?” Steve teases, and Tony has to lock all his muscles like they’re made of stone to prevent himself from shivering.
“Sure it was. You should know, Rogers.”
“Yeah.” Wilson laughs, half-hiding his shit-eating grin on his cup. “You should know.”
“You shut up.” Steve says, and when Wilson and Sharon laugh, his ears go adorably pink. “Why don’t you go talk to Rhodes?”
“Oh, yes, please do.” Tony exclaims, jittery with joy at the idea of making Rhodey’s life just a little bit harder. If he can poke fun at Tony, Tony is definitely allowed to poke back. “He’s gonna love seeing you, Wilson. Tell him I sent you.”
“Yeah, yeah, you just tryin’ to get Steve alone, you ain’t subtle.” Wilson jabs, but before Tony can even process the words fully, let alone react to them, Wilson claps a hand on his back and steps out, supposedly, to find Rhodey. “Good seeing you, man.”
And he just leaves. Worse, Sharon leaves too, with a nod and an all-too-knowing look in her eyes, and then, Tony is suddenly left alone with Steve goddamn Rogers, who Tony may or may not still have a ridiculous crush on!
“So.” Tony exhales, harshly. “No Barnes?”
Steve looks at him like he’s amused, smirking at a private joke. “Jerk’s late. I set him an alarm and everything, but you know how he is.”
“I do? I guess I have vague memories of our glorious highschool days but clearly, I missed something.” Tony jokes, trying to be suave, but Steve is smiling like the way he used to smile when Tony fumbled with his words, when Steve made him flustered; and it’s making him flustered all over again like Tony is still fifteen and very very charmed by the tiny class president. “Because I don’t remember you being...”
“This size?” Steve gestures to himself, and Tony is a weak man, because he can’t refuse the excuse to look.
“Guess you could say that.” Tony teases. “I didn’t know art school could do that to you. I would almost guess you joined the army.”
“You knew I went to art school?” Steve asks, delighted, and - shit.
“You always talked about it, when we were younger. And I knew you could do it.” And because Tony’s mouth doesn’t know how to stay shut, he accidentally says, “And I’ve seen a show you did once. A gallery, I mean, an exhibition. The one in Boston?”
“The one for my family.” Steve clarifies, eyes going all gentle and fond.
“Yeah, that one.” Tony clears his throat. “Sarah must have been really proud. How is she, by the way?”
“The same as always. Nothing can stop her from kicking my ass when I need it.” Steve admits, a little embarrassed, and Tony can’t help but give a hearty laugh because yeah, that’s the Sarah Rogers he remembers, and suddenly, he’s overcome with nostalgia for the afternoons he spent at the Rogers’ place, feeling far more comfortable than anywhere else in the world.
“God, I miss Sarah.” Tony confesses.
Steve pauses, and he looks at Tony with such an intense gaze Tony can’t look away. “And she misses you. We still talk about you sometimes.”
Tony blinks. “You do?”
“Tony.” Steve tilts his head, playfully, like he can’t believe Tony’s surprise. “Ma practically adopted you the moment you stepped a foot inside her house. If I hadn’t stopped her, she would have trapped you there and never let you leave.”
“Well, for Sarah Rogers, I wouldn’t have minded that.”
“Neither would I.” Steve says, to Tony’s complete shock, and his face blooms ina flush of heat, mortifyingly. “But I had enough problems on my plate without Jarvis breathing down my neck.”
“Jarvis loves you, he always did.” Tony complains, childishly, in reflex. “I was the one always getting a speech when it was you who was always getting into fights and getting us both bruised!”
“You didn’t have to fight with me.”
“I definitely did.”
“You should come over, sometime.” Steve offers, suddenly, talking fast, as if he’s trying to get the words out all at once. “See Ma again. She would love that.”
“I-” Tony chokes. “Are you sure?”
“Tony. I really missed you. We both did.” Steve gulps down hard, his jaw working almost hypnotically. “I’m sorry I couldn’t keep in touch.”
Tony shakes his head frantically. “That wasn’t your fault. If anything, it was mine. It just - a lot of things happened, and-”
“We both had a rough time.” Steve interrupts, gently, and Tony gives him a silent nod. “I know it. But I think we both could use a win now, couldn’t we?”
Tony pauses. “Is taking me home to meet your mom a win, Rogers?”, he says, feeling daring.
“Definitely.” Steve says, coy, and slowly, he looks Tony up and down, all of him, as if he’s drinking in the sight, and that look, in Steve’s blue, sharp eyes, make Tony tremble where he stands. “And this time, I might not let you leave either.”
What happened to Steve Rogers! Tony wants to scream, mind going a hundred miles an hour, hysterical. I don’t know how to handle this!
“We can do that.” he says instead, nonsensical, short on breath.
“Alright.” Steve says, satisfied. “Give me your number.”
“What?”
“Your number.” He smiles. “I’m not giving you the chance to second guess this, Tony. I know you. I’m calling you, and we’ll go out sometime. Does that sound ok?”
“Sounds awesome.” Tony admits, just a little winded. “I’d love that.”
“Good.” Steve puffs his chest out, just a little, like he’s proud of himself, and when Tony finally gets out a business card from his wallet and awkwardly writes his personal number on the back, it takes all his strength not to react to the brush of Steve’s cold fingers against his when he grabs the paper.
Steve stares at the number like Tony has just given him the greatest of gifts.
And when he looks up at Tony and the sentiment in his eyes does not fade, Tony can’t do anything but exhale slowly, deeply, a ridiculously infatuated sigh.
“It’s great seeing you, Steve.” He says.
“You too.” Steve echoes, just as fond. “Can I call you tonight?”
Fuck.
“Yes.”
“Then I will.” He smiles.
Crap.
Tony definitely still is a little bit in love with Steve Rogers.
