@/panicking0no 's Color Challenge, but I turned the Rise boys into Gemstones! (I drew this in October, forgot to post, forgive me) Normal colored alts on right side.

I thought the palette looked very SU-themed (I guess it was the shapes and how the colors were aligned?) but I wanted to do some research to get the best match for everyone and the best results as well. Original Challenge. Notes and AU stuff under the cut!

Forehead - Intelligent, detail-oriented, perfectionist. Right Hand - Action-oriented, sweet, friendly, rough. Right Bicep - Humorous, aggressive, cocky, challenging. Chest - Emotional, flexible, silly, intuitive.

Donnie - Purple Jade (Forehead) [ 6.5 mhs ] Forthright, Immortal, Remembered. Attunes one's spiritual body while promoting clarity and expansion of the mind Recognizes the soul's desire to ascend and wake up

Raph - Red Ruby (Right Hand) [ 9 mhs ] Courageous, Pure. Fortitude, courage, strength, prevents negativity, and redirects / repurposes energy positively Inspiring, intense, vivid

Leo - Blue Moonstone (Right Bicep) [ 6.5 mhs ] Beautiful, Aware. Aid in relieving everyday stress, bringing peace in times of need Self discovery, intuitive, paves the way for growth, opportunity, and action

Mikey - Orange Carnelian (Chest) [ 7 mhs ] Content, Friendly, Boundlessly Creative. Manifest dreams and desires, stimulates creativity Ability to ground positive and negative emotions, while manifesting emotional growth and desires

A note on the hardness: Raph would be the physically strongest of the team, so I picked a gemstone that reflected that. Mikey is the next one on the list mostly because he is the youngest and has a lot of raw potential. The twins get the same hardness, but are the weakest. Obviously, everyone is stronger together and have different strengths and weaknesses, but I wanted to distinguish them individually as well.

In terms of AU / Story expansion, hmm… I guess… the "Hamato Clan" comes from one singular gemstone, that is constantly reborn as a half-human hybrid. If Pink Diamond became Rose Quartz, and Rose Quartz became Steven… Maybe when Steven has a kid, instead of physically raising it, he "rebirths" in the same way, and becomes that kid… and then it goes on forever ? That's kind of how I think of it, Steven could live forever and never die or could have kids the regular old human way, but I think rebirthing like PD/RQ is another option that works. Let's say that's how the Hamato Clan does it, but the clan also consists of other members who help raise the gem and teach it. Yoshi is "reborn" and decides.. well, he doesn't wanna do it the old fashioned way. Much of his past is the same as in the series, become an action star, meet Big Mama, Battle Nexus, blah blah blah…. then Baron Draxum comes to take the legendary champion. I think Draxum would be some kind of enforcer-type gem like nose jasper or limb-enhanced peridot, but would definitely have been making his own type of home-made kindergarten machines where he takes organic life and fuses it with the power of, yep, you guessed it, the Hamato gemstone. To create the greatest warriors alive, they would be more durable than regular gemstones, where they can sustain damage without "poofing" away into their gem immediately. Draxum would have his gemstones of choice fused with the organic life form of choice, and all he would need is Lou Jitsu's gemstone energy to power the machine and fuse everything together.

A Jade, which is quick and intelligent, able to find unique solutions to problems.A Ruby, the standard bodyguard of any noble gem or military force, sure to be a powerful and fierce ally.A Moonstone, while very pretty on the surface can be quite deadly in combat, having impossibly fast agility whilst being excellent army leaders.A Carnelian, able to mirror any enemy and hit back twice as hard, would have the most potential as a soldier, especially when able to learn from it's peers.

And then you already know that Draxum would fuse them with turtles. Draxum is probably a pure gemstone, completely born of rock and terrain, and the other "Yokai" will also all be pure gemstones. I think SU is unrealistic in that the obviously "alien, other-worldly" gemstones always look human except for the corrupted ones, and they don't exactly explain why…? Just that it's easier for humans to perceive if they look like humans, otherwise people go crazy, and then they laugh it off and it never comes back up again.. but how would the gems know to look "human" on the planets they destroyed across the galaxy to make more gems ?? idk, so, I thought maybe if the Yokai were actually aliens they could still be "yokai". A ruby would look different on every planet, since they may have a slightly different composition of minerals in the rocks that form them, along with the native species maybe influencing them if they really wanted to "blend in" or otherwise just have a reason to not look normal. That makes the "mutants" of this series the gemstone hybrids-- the half human Yoshi, and the half-turtle gems, along with any humans turned half-gem by Draxum's attempts to make organic based gemstone warriors. The rise boys still grow up as normal-- if not slightly accelerated by gem properties. I don't think they could get poofed entirely since they still have organic flesh and blood from their turtle side, but I'm not sure. I kind of want them to, just for sad bubble moments, but then they would have had to "die" halfway because they're still living… also hard to do that if they are just turtle shells since their gemstones are all on their skin except.. mikey… so you wouldn't even see the gemstone on the shell.. this is too hard lol, i have no idea what to do for that.. If they never get hurt, how could we have angsty teenage mutant ninja turtle gems!? there's gotta be a solution. idk man..

Oh well, that's my little SU AU for ROTTMNT with this silly little color challenge ! I thought a lot about this stuff while making it so i hope you enjoyed reading and if you want to expand on this feel free, I'm sure I'm not the only one with the same concept and the designs are literally based on someone else's color scheme so.. I can only take credit for the small stuff, really. But yeah, I was a huge Steven Universe fan and made a million gem designs and always thought about revisiting and this was a nice, easy way to do it. Fun!

TMNT 2012 x Gem!Reader

(You are a lapis lazuli. Your main purpose is to terraform earth and its inhabitants. But you are quite different than other lapides. Despite being created to terraform planets, you've come to realise the Diamonds weren't worthy of your devotion or your sacrifices. After all the things they've done to you.)

"So you don't eat?"

"Nor do you sleep?"

"Do you ever need to go to the bathroom?"

"Of course you would ask that."

"Hey! I can ask whatever I want!"

You stared awkwardly at the four creatures. You did not know what they were but Earth seemed to inhabit the strangest mortal creatures from all planets you had ever encountered. The only reason you have managed to differentiate between the four creatures was because of their coloured headbands. You find them quite entertaining, which is why you abandoned your duties to speak with them.

"Please, I apologise on behalf of my brothers. They lack mannerisms as you can see." The purple one says with an annoyed tone, still glancing at the red and orange. You only chuckle,

"That is fine, it is wonderful to finally talk to someone!".

Which is true, you never really get to talk to anybody on Homeworld. You do your job, accomplish your goal, return, get assigned to a new one and repeat.

"What's your planet like?" The blue one asked with an excited smile, ignoring the red and orange one's bickering.

"Ah, busy." You replied with no further information which only made the blue one tilt his head.

"Busy?" He raised a brow in confusion.

"Yes, busy. Y'know, colonising planets and turning them into resources for Homeworld." You explained which only made the red one turn his focus to you.

"Colonise? You're gonna colonise Earth?!" He accused in an intimidating tone.

You tilt your head. "Hmmm no. I find this planet enjoyable! The Diamonds can find other planets to colonise but I like this one." you say as you look at the night sky above them.

The four creatures gave a confused and sceptical look at you.

"Diamonds? Who are they?" The blue one asked you again.

"Our commanders. They're the ones who created us from the resources of planets they've colonised. We were made to serve them and devote our energy to them to help expand their colony and kingdom" you say with such passion, you won't lie, you sound a little deranged. But you won't lie about this as well, you still have a little admiration for the Diamonds. Especially your Diamond, Blue Diamond.

"Yeah.. totally not creepy. So, that's why you don't eat or sleep?" The red one crossed his arms and stared at you sceptically.

"Yes! I mean, what use would I be to my Diamonds if I were to slack off and take time for myself? I would be completely useless!" You chuckled at your joke but the other four did not laugh along.

"Huh, it's almost like you see them as your God." The purple one says which makes you tilt your head.

"Of course I do, they're the only purpose I'm alive." You cringed after the words left your lips.

It's almost like the words coming out of your mouth weren't yours. It's like it was programmed into you. To always praise the Diamonds. Love the Diamonds. Sacrifice for the Diamonds. It makes your throat itch. Your words earned a disgusted look from the red one.

"That's... fucked up."

"Raph!" The blue one glared at the red one.

"He is right. It is quite the mindset to have. But, it is accustomed to me that I don't know what to do without it." You said, giving a sad smile.

"Hey! Don't overthink it dudette! We got you covered! We'll help you through this." The orange one said reassuringly as gave you a side hug.

It was an odd feeling you felt in your stomach and chest. It felt, warm.

"Look, even tho we just met a couple of hours ago. You seem cool. Pathetic, but cool." The red one said with a smirk.

The blue one glanced at the red one and smiled at you, "Raph is right. You're cool and we liked talking with you. We should hang out more!" he said excitedly.

You looked confused. "Why would we hang? Shouldn't we enjoy the company of each other instead?" You asked which only earned you confused stares.

"That's what I-"

"That is it! You're coming with us." The red one swung a hand around you and led you somewhere.

"Was it something I said?" You asked nervously

"Nonono, we're just gonna 'enjoy each other's company' while we teach you common slang. You're part of the gang now. Welcome, the name is Raphael." The red one says with slight sarcasm in his voice.

The purple one catches up next to the both of you, "I'm Donatello-and Raph please be careful her gem- (Your gem is on your chest. He is worried Raphael's strong grasp around you might shatter your gem even tho it won't.). She did mention moments ago that their gems are practically their hearts and you should-"

"I know what I'm doing, Donnie," Raphael grumbled to Donatello.

A hand gently pats your shoulder.

"Leonardo. Don't worry, they mean well." Leonardo reassures you of his other two brother's behaviour.

"And if you ever get bored of these three losers, you can hang out with me! Michelangelo!" The orange one spoke with a wide smile.

Your blank expression turned to one of fondness and you smiled. This is exactly the interaction you wish to perceive back on Homeworld.

You just chuckled as the five of you walked out of the alleyway and onto the dimly lit streets to enjoy a nice group 'hang out' together with your new company.

Quarry, or later found out to be named “Sydney” is one of the people turned mutants in New Y’Lyntias who is Donatello’s friend and alley. I chose to use her because she doesn’t appear in 2012 and I always thought it was kind of sus how ridiculously motivated Donnie always was to go back down to New Y’Lyntias.

RARE MOMENT WHEN I POST SMTH OUTSIDE OF TMNT 🤯🤯🤯

These are my SU ocs- or well gem ocs, they kinda live in a separate au outside of the show

The darker green character is my gem verdelite! A verdelites job is being a demolition worker, they pretty much clean up old abandoned architectures from old planets, though the job sounds pretty fun, my verdelite’s “code defect” is being burnt out all the time, she pretty much hates her “job”, so she gets scolded a lot by her boss for it… (credits to creator RATXKLNG for gem creation!!)

The lighter green gem is my silly nephrite! She is pretty much a retired pilot and decided to work in a medbay to help other gems stretch out their forms! Pretty much like a yoga instructor!

The orange little bean is my oc orange pearl! She’s pretty runaway after accidentally shattering her owner, she kind of goes everywhere she can go without getting caught by the higher ups, though she’s still pretty loyal to the diamonds…

To start this post off: I know this seems like a weird crossover fic; HOWEVER, warning before people begin reading: this fic contains major character death, mentions of su*c*de, SA, s*x and s*x work, murder, blood, abandonment, child neglect, child ab*se, and emotional ab*se. If any of these make you uncomfortable, I would suggest finding another fic to read.

While this crossover seems really weird to some readers at a glance, this is a very serious fic that covers the topics mentioned above.

Ok… I am having some issues with the Apprenticeship AU (specifically dealing with writer’s block), but this is an AU and crossover fic I have not been able to stop thinking about. There are planned to be 15 chapters in total. First chapter is out now. It’s something that I really like, and I can’t wait to work on this story moving forward while I figure out how to tell the story I am wanting to with the SMG4 Apprenticeship AU.

So in the meantime, I’m going to be updating this one a lot more frequently during my recovery time from eye surgery, so… yeah.

No, I have no abandoned the Apprenticeship AU (and I am also planning on posting both fics on AO3 eventually, but I was writing them originally on WattPad so… yeah. Give me time to put those on AO3 for those who don’t have WattPad).

Basic rundown of this Space Pirates AU:

Crossover between SMG4, TMNT 2012, BABQFTIM (only Quest!Cuphead and Quest!Mugman are in this fic tho and no I do not support the original AU’s creator), Cry of Fear, Borderlands, and my OCs in a scenario inspired by the show Firefly.

This takes place during TMNT 2012 Season 4, when the group is in space (duh). This AU deals with very difficult topics, especially when regarding how I feel about a certain character from the 2012 series *cough* April *cough* and how she was handled, especially with her relationship to other characters, especially when one of the characters canonically died on screen from her hand.

Basically, this is a ��What-If” scenario with a lot of angst, but also a fun found family story surrounding our lovely pirate crew, as well as a fun twist that is revealed at the end of the first chapter and will be explained more throughout the fic.

Again, I know this seems like it would be a crack fic, but it is taken seriously and I am actually taking this story seriously. To be honest, if this story wasn’t so rooted in the story of TMNT 2012 season 4, I would likely take this and make it its own thing. However, I do hope people do give this fic a shot (unless any of the topics I mentioned at the very top of this post make you uncomfortable, in which case I am perfectly fine with you skipping this one for your own mental health).

So… yeah. This is not a crack fic. It’s just me telling a story with a bunch of different characters from different continuities as if they’re all from the same one.

(ROTTMNT SU AU)

Long ass essay on stuff I added:

-Splinter [black pearl] was the first to rebel. He was originally Emerald’s [Big Mama] pearl then given to a Peridot [Baron Draxum] to help oversee Earth’s production. Splints fell in love with earth and no wanted to be a servant so he ran away/rebelled.

-Donnie and Leo got along with Draxum at first. Draxum ignored protocol and kept defects and off colors and repurposed them. He didn’t see a need to waste resources. The twins were repurposed gems. Donnie was not as sturdy or strong as other Bismuth’s but had a knack for developing blueprints. Leo was terrible at controlling gems but he great on one on one communication and improving single gem’s productivity.

-Donnie and Leo were the first to fuse. When Leo dragged Donnie out to help him create new plans (was in a block) they saw humans dancing and having fun so they copied what they saw humans. They forgot they were a fusion when they came back. To avoid being shattered they ran away (They dance/fuse for fun, nothing romantic)

-Draxum didn’t defend them when ordered to shatter them for fusing

-Mikey [Jasper] emerged kinda late. Instead of following others to go immediately to work, he saw Donnie and Leo running off and instantly thought that was better than working at all so he followed them instead

-Raph will take a bit to join their side. He didn’t like the thought of gems being shattered for something as simple as saying ‘no’.
