A/N: I've been dealing with a lot of hand pain and migraines so I apologize for disappearing.

As you settle into Donnie's lap, he continues his work, the soft churrs from his chest creating a soothing backdrop. He occasionally nuzzles against your neck, a rare display of affection. Normally, he avoids close contact, but during brumation, he craves the comfort you provide. The heat radiating from you and the gentle weight of your presence seem to lull him into a peaceful state, keeping him warm and relaxed.

Despite his condition, he was determined to keep pushing through his work. His instincts drove him to finish his projects, regardless of how fatigued and sluggish he felt. However, it was clear that he couldn't maintain this pace indefinitely, so you made every effort to support Donnie as he labored on, until he eventually reached his limit and collapsed into bed.

A few hours into this, Donnie emits a weary groan. His eyes begin to droop, blinking slowly as he sinks back into his chair. Gradually, he stands up, cradling you in his arms, your legs having long since gone numb.

He scoops you up and brings you to bed, lying back with you nestled on him. His churring grows louder, and soon his eyes begin to close. "'So warm..." He pulls you in tight, emitting soft, comforting chuffs.

"Anything for you, Don." You plant gentle kisses on his plastron, feeling the delightful vibrations of his churrs resonate against your lips. He responds with even louder churrs, giving you in a tender squeeze.

With a gentle motion, Donnie shifts you onto your side, wrapping himself around you to capture the warmth. He presses his face into your neck, releasing a blissful sigh. "Should've done sooner..."

"I tried telling you..." You playfully tease, your fingers gliding gently along his arms, offering a soothing touch.

"Jus for that... You're stuck 'ere..." He emits a soft grunt, tightening his embrace around your waist. A playful, sleepy growl escapes him as he buries his beak into the side of your neck.

He also take his time attaching to you when you two first met, giving you time to trust and not feel scared around him.

Mikey will most definitely have bonding times with you. 'With some time, I'm sure she'll/he'll open up!'

Offers you his notes and paper so you can write what you want to say. He wants to make sure you feel heard in other ways than speaking.

Donnie is the one who will literally build a machine that converts your thoughts into words so you can communicate other ways, but his brothers and/or you ended up stopping him.

Offers to create you things to enhance your talking level without talking, and gives it to you if you like it or not.

Donnie sighed, resting his head on his hand as he watched you from across the lair.

He used to be jealous of you. How your hair was perfect everyday. How you never accidentally embarrassed yourself. How nobody ever got bored of what you were saying. How everyone talked to you so easily.

Now, he admired it.

He used to glare at you when you joined in a conversation he was having. Now he just smiled.

He used to roll his eyes at the sound of your obnoxious laugh. Now, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t stop his own laugh. Anytime you laughed, it was like he just had to laugh too.

He couldn’t even resist a smile if you had one on your face.

“You’re staring again.” April bumped her shoulder to his.

“So?” He sighed, his lips twitching upwards when you glanced over to him.

“I just thought you’d want to know if you were being obvious.” She snickered. He ignored her.

“I don’t care.” He barely did anymore. Nothing he could do about it anyways. You smiled at him and he had to turn his mouth further into his palm to try and stifle his own.

He scoffed at himself and tore his eyes away from you, hyper aware of the heat coming off of his face. His green skin did a lot to help hide his flushed face, but clearly you still noticed with how you giggled at him. He shot you a playful glare and you stuck your tongue back in revenge.

“Wow.” April seemed flabbergasted. “You’ve got it bad.”

“Shut up,” he said halfheartedly, watching as you turned back around to keep talking to Mikey.

He’s incredibly logical, so at first, he dismisses any strange feelings as mere hormonal responses or distractions

He focuses on his work, trying to "solve" the situation like a problem to be fixed

Donnie starts inventing things for them without being asked

Small gadgets to make their life easier, or protective gear that only he can design

His brothers notice that he’s way more invested in making sure these creations are perfect, even though he claims it’s just for efficiency ✨

He runs simulations in his lab, calculating the best methods to keep them safe during missions

Donnie doesn’t really understand jealousy, but he definitely feels it when they give attention to someone else ( cof Leo cof )

His responses are more passive-aggressive, making sarcastic comments or flexing his intelligence to outshine the competition

The moment of realization hits Donnie like a data overload

It’s not some emotional revelation, it’s like he’s connecting the dots in his head. Suddenly, all the strange emotions, the extra care, and the need to protect them make sense

He’s in love

Donnie’s first reaction is denial ( poor dude )

Love is illogical and distracting, so he tries to suppress the feelings, telling himself that he’s too focused on his work to be involved in something so irrational

His brothers, especially Raph, pick up on it immediately

He try to encourage him to open up, but Donnie insists that love is for "less complex minds"

Despite this, he can’t help but feel a tug of emotion every time they smile at him or show appreciation for his inventions

When Donnie finally confesses, it’s in the most Donnie way possible 🐢

Through an over-complicated explanation of how his brain chemistry has been altered in their presence

It’s awkward, scientific, and unintentionally sweet

He’ll still struggle with expressing his emotions clearly but shows his love through thoughtful actions, intellectual conversations, and occasional vulnerability when it’s just the two of them

Donnie shows his love by always being prepared for anything, ensuring they’re safe and cared for.

Could I ask how you think Rise! Donnie would deal with his first time with his partner (18+) would he be nervous or confident? Would he start blabbering about info he researched prior to try and hide how nervous or excited he is? I feel like if it’s his partners first time with a mutant he would probably end up over-explaining his anatomy to them.

A/N: I’m not sure why, but I have this idea, that if Rise!Donatello should get to a point where he’s interested in having sex with a partner, he would be at a point where he’s very comfortable with them, and not that easily nervous. But with that being said, anybody can get nervous at any point in life, but I feel like he would be quite a bit calmer. Hope these headcanons was something like what you were looking for. Warnings: Mentioning of planned sex, softer sex, intense sex, passionate sex and rough sex.

You and Donnie’s first time was planned, no doubts about it. This wasn’t the kind of thing Donnie would just do in the heat of the moment. Maybe once he had gotten more used to it, but his first time he needed to be prepared.

Donnie is not really a nervous person. It’s a rarity for him to get truly nervous in the stereotypical sense. He doesn’t shake, he doesn’t stutter, and he doesn’t hide away. No - when Donnie is nervous, he tends to turn off his emotions and throw around quite a few sarcastic statements. It’s not his intention to make you unsure, confused or hurt you when he would suddenly turn emotionally cold - it was just a way for him to protect himself.

At this point you knew Donnie well enough to know what was going on. He may have prepared himself in every way possible, doing as much research as possible  on the human anatomy, so that he was sure to please you. And you would remind him that everything was okay. You understood him and he understood you. You could be yourselves around each other, and you would find a way to make this pleasurable for the both of you.

With all that Donnie had learned about human anatomy, he would of course tell you about it. That’s just how he functions. He’s a fact thrower and he finds comfort in it. And you listen and engage him in what he’s talking about. Some of the things you may already know, but some of them might come as a surprise to you.

The day of your first time, you and Donnie had decided to do it in his room, an evening where you knew the rest of his family was out, so that the two of you could be all alone. Total comfort, allowing both of you to get as loud as you may need to, without having to worry about anybody walking by Donnie’s room.

And loud you were. It almost surprised both of you. It wasn’t because you were going absolut at it, breaking the bed on your first try (a few rounds in you did get quite a bit rougher tho). No, it was simply because of the new sensations both of you were experiencing. It was just part of your processing, expressing yourselves with sounds of surprise and pleasure. Though if anybody had been standing outside the door, they might have thought you were shooting a porno… ups.

Your first round was intense and passionate, holding each other close as Donnie thrusted in and out of you at a sturdy speed. Your second round started out intense and passionate as well, with you riding Donnie just to try it. But halfway through, Donnie had flipped you onto your back, driving into you at a much greater speed. However your third and final round of the evening was quite something, with Donnie having you on all four, fucking you like you both were already addicted. It didn’t take long before you had your chest flat against the mattress and ass high in the air, screaming and crying for Donnie not to stop. Quite the journey the two of you went through to be honest.

“You’re embarrassing me,” Donnie hissed out as you smushed another kiss onto his cheek. Splinter snapped a photo. He slumped further down onto the couch but you simply followed after him, relentless. “You know how I feel about… PDA.” He shudders at the word.

You hum happily and slide under his arm to get closer. He rolls his eyes.

“I never thought I’d see the day…” Splinter chokes through tears. He takes yet another picture. Donnie wants to throw up. He wonders how many of those will be printed and pasted into the family album tonight.

But he also can’t deny that he likes the attention. He likes the warmth coming off of you. He just wishes his father wasn’t staring at him with those beady rat eyes of his.

He sighs and ducks his face further into the collar of his hoodie as you swing an arm around his middle. He gives up at the point as you slowly but surely get closer and closer until you’re practically atop of him. He’s almost positive his green face has somehow turned red.
