A/N: sorry this took me forever the right this. I kind of felt burnt out for a while writing a lot of TMNT request here on Tumblr. I took a break for a good while because I was also having a lot of writer's block and I had so much going on in my normal life. And I just felt so burnt out. Again sorry this took forever. I hope you enjoy reading this.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Donnie is quite shy and awkward when it comes to romance, so he tends to express affection in subtle, indirect ways at first. He might leave little notes or gifts for his partner to find, complimenting them or reminding them he cares. As an acts of service type, Donnie loves using his skills to make things for a partner or help them out. He might build them a personalized piece of tech, give them massages after a long day, or be the first to volunteer to assist them with any project or problem. Donnie craves deep emotional connection. He loves having long, intellectually stimulating conversations with a partner, sharing all his niche interests and hearing theirs in return. He's an amazing listener. While not as naturally physically affectionate as Mikey, Donnie enjoys cuddles, hand-holding, and sitting close to a partner, especially while working on something together. He savors that quiet closeness. Donnie is endearingly romantic once he gets over his initial shyness. Things weren't totally serious, totally crazy all the time in his timeline

Before Raph and Donnie…moved on, everyone was fairly optimistic. I mean, sure, it was the apocalypse, but they had hope.

When Casey was little, all four brothers would take turns playing with him. While each one had very different interactions, they all universally loved doing one thing: tickling him.

After all the sadness, Big Leo still tried to keep things uplifting for the boy.

He rarely full-on tickled him, but a few light pokes or squeezes here and there were the perfect thing to put a smile on the teen’s face.

Big Mikey would abuse his powers and sneak up behind Casey, squeezing his sides or teasing his neck.

Occasionally, when the boy was really down in the dumps, holding his arms while Big Leo cheered him up with some tickles.

Lee:

Let's all be honest here: he's a lee. No matter how hard he tries, he always ends up getting his ass handed to him.

Not that he doesn't adore it, of course.

He sees it as a fun way to bond with his new family, even if they do tease the shell out of him.

Worst spots are his hips, belly button and armpits. He likes all of them, though his melt spot is his palms; the best snorty-giggles stem from there.

Bushiest boi, will turn red as fresh cherries if you tease him right~

While he loves tickles from the whole Hamato fam, his favorite lers would have to be Raph and Leo.

He never really got to know Big Raph, but young him is a giant, compassionate teddy bear. A teddy bear that also happens to have a night job as a professional tickle monster!

As for Leo, he'd always felt close to the blue-themed turtle. Besides the obvious connections to his Leo, the guy’s just fun to be around.

The jokes get him giggling, and he feels safe around Leo.

Reigning loser of every tickle fight ever.

He's won maybe twice. Once against a very sleepy Leo, and again with a partner.

Self-conscious about his laugh, but the fam works daily to try and help him jump that hurdle! -♡

Little pill bug: his first response to anything tickly, from pokes to full-on tickled, is curling up into a tiny ball.

Adorable to watch, and even cuter to hear his little squeal when you get to his spots anyway!

Ler:

Rarely happens, but he's still not bad!

Really giggly ler, likes to laugh with his lee.

Definitely gets flustered when someone asks to be tickled by him.

Again, rare, but it does occasionally happen.

He's afraid of hurting them, so only the gentlest of tickles and little scritches unless/until they ask for more.

When he does tickle someone, it's usually Leo, Mikey or April.

Leo is a sorta-undercover angst lord, and Casey likes to hear him laugh when he's bummed or overthinking things.

Mikey is just playful. He'll annoy Casey, mostly on purpose, and get what's coming to him. Other times, he'll be attempting to help the artsy turtle with his makeup and tickle him with the brushes. Intentional or not, I'll let you decide…

With April, it's almost always circumstantial. Dragged into a random tickle fight, Raph asking for backup, Donnie needing someone to do his dirty work.

April tickles him more than he ever gets her. Very few times does it happen, but he's capable of giving revenge tickles.

Doesn't usually tease, but he will compliment his lee's laugh and/or reactions.

“I love your laugh, it's so happy!” “Hey, don't be ashamed of the blush. Red's a good color on you!” “Was that a snort? No, don't hide it, that's adorable!”

It took a while to get to that point, but with self confidence and a whole family of support, he can finally start putting himself out there. Even if it is with something as goofy as tickling.

As the lesser known and youngest teenage mutant ninja turtle, there wasn't much expected of you. It annoyed you to no end. Not that your family looked down on you necessarily, they just didn’t think you were very…skilled. 

“Just let us handle it!” Raph would say. 

“Don’t sweat so much about tonight’s mission.” Leo smirked, ruffling the top of your head. 

Mikey and Donnie were a little less condescending than the others, but they still treated you like the littlest. Which you were, but it was still infuriating. It didn’t really help that you were a bit of an outlier among your family as the lone female turtle. 

You sigh, spinning around your tactical umbrella. 

“Maybe it’s my weapon? I do kinda look like Mary Poppins with this thing.” You frown. 

It was a relatively normal-looking umbrella, but there was a hidden sword sheathed into the handle. It was always fun seeing the look on your enemy’s faces when you revealed just how secretly deadly it was. They immediately underestimated you, making unconscious assumptions. 

Shaking your head, you focus up. You didn’t have time to mope around thinking about yourself, not when you had birthday gifts to find! Well, Mutation Day gifts. You had everything all planned out, taking the time to come up with the perfect gift ideas for all your pesky older brothers. They really didn’t deserve such excellent treatment, but you were the bigger turtle. 

You honestly loved giving people gifts. It made you happy seeing other people happy. Maybe you were secretly a little selfish, getting some sick kick out of going above and beyond with your gift-giving. Maybe now was your chance to one-up your siblings, at least in a small, friendly way. 

“Let’s do this!” You drop off of the rooftop you were perched on, dropping down to the city below.

You knew Mikey was still a big fan of Meat Sweats

For some reason...

You never really got him, even though you and Mikey were kind of the un-official 'younger twins'

To the uninformed observer, you two looked and acted practically exactly the same

You were both pretty upbeat, caring, and prone to wild acts of gymnastics

It takes a bit of cajoling (maybe a little physical violence) but you manage to hunt down Meat Sweats and get him to sign your copy of his book

Gift giving for Leo was pretty straightforward

As long as it had something to do with him, it'd be perfect

He never shut up about the fact that he was a Battle Nexus Champion, so you figure something to do with that would be the way to go

...Now, all you had to do was think of what that would be exactly

An award perhaps? Maybe an old bowling trophy with his name plastered on the front

Good, but you could do better

Strolling through the Hidden City, you searched around for some kind of inspiration

There were dozens of vendors and booths selling trinkets, it was practically a treasure trove of gift ideas

It was when you pass by an alley when you see it...

Among the sea of torn-up flyers and advertisements, you spot a poster with Leo's likeness

Running toward it, you get a better look

It's some kind of fan-made screen print! It showed Leo standing confidently in the middle of a battlefield, Lou Jitsu costume and all

It actually made him look good, like a real badass

You couldn't pass up such a beautiful piece of art

Ripping it off the wall, you accidentally tear the left corner a bit

"Whoops..." You sweat, rubbing at the thin paper

Donatello had many 'eccentric' hobbies

One of which was chemistry (AKA building weapons of mass destruction)

You knew Donnie was itching to get his grubby little hands on some Uranium, but you wrote that gift idea off immediately

"Where do you even buy something like that? The army surplus store? The black market?"

You decide to consult your sort-of-dad Baron Draxum, he had all kinds of crazy connections

Begrudgingly, he admits that he might...have access to Uranium

"I only have a little bit. It's well within my rights." He insists

After a while, you convince him to 'let you borrow' some

You wrap it up in a cute gift box with a nice ribbon

No one would suspect that there's dangerous chemicals in it! It looked so cute and unassuming!

You sneak into Donnie's lab while he's out on a mission and place it on his desk next to his computer set-up

You knew someone (probably Raph) would confiscate it from him at some point, but it was the thought that counts

Thankfully, you already had the perfect thing to give to Raph

It was a couple of weeks ago...

You frequented a local antique store, it was fun looking at all the weird human artifacts and knick knacks

One day, you just so happen to come across a Ghost Bear plush!

And it was HUGE! Almost as big as your head!

It must have been some old merch from when he was still human by the looks of it

Looking at the price tag, you cringe

"Ooohhh, that's...that's a pretty penny."

Silently, you debate with yourself

You knew Raph loved Ghost Bear, and plushes...

You would just have to ask Splinter for a little extra allowance next month

Cleaning out your wallet, you buy it

"That guy owes me big time." You smirk

Finally, you get all your gifts (minus Donnie's) together and present them on Mutation Day. To no one's surprise, your gifts are all happily accepted.

Mikey sniffled, bringing you into a tight hug. "I have Meat Sweats' autograph! He actually touched this book, with his own two hooves!"

Leo was rendered speechless, unrolling the Battle Nexus Poster. You chuckle, taking his silence as your proof that you gave him exactly what he was looking for.

"Don't worry, I already gave you your gift," you whisper, winking at Donnie.

You give each other secretive nods, but not before Raph makes a mental note to check up on Donnie later. You two were always up to no good.

He almost gets lost in his own thoughts before you nudge Raph his present.

"Here! I saw this and knew you just had to have it."

"Aww, you didn't have to--" He smiles, tearing open the wrapping.

Once he sees the plush face of Ghost Bear looking back at him, Raph immediately gets choked up. His eyes widen and start to water, bringing the plush up to eye-level.

"How did you find this? I thought they were all discontinued!"

Laughing, you do a little spin on your toes. "I knew it, I knew you'd love it! I found it at the pawn shop up top.

Before Raph can get too emotional, he collects himself and calls the rest of the turtles over.

"These are all amazing, and all we got you was..."

You peek over his shoulder as he motions over to the center of the lair. Sitting next to the skate ramp and workout equipment was some kind of long bench. When did that get there?

Walking over, you get a better look. It was, from what you can tell, an old gymnastics bar used for balancing.

You run your fingers along the side and marvel at it. "Is this for me?"

"Well, duh!" Leo smiles. "We tried finding one of those asymmetrical bar things for you to flip off of and stuff, but we sorta--"

"Donnie broke it moving it down here." Mikey cut in, eyeing Donnie up and down.

Sighing, Donnie shoves Mikey aside. "I told you to pivot, and you didn't pivot!"

Shushing his other brothers, Raph steps forward. "The point it is: We know we can be kinda a handful, and you don't always get the same treatment. But, we wanted to do something nice for you."

You beam, watching them come in to squeeze you into a big group hug. You agree, they could be a lot sometimes. But, they were your family. And you wouldn't trade them for anything.

"You guys are the best!"

I don’t know if this was a request or not but I’m taking this time to give you my regressor Donnie headcanons bc he’s ABSOLUTELY my favourite turtle and I need to talk abt him or I’ll explode (I have brought my ‘87 Donnie figure with me to Holland, he’s my emotional support turtle)

Regressor!Donatello Headcanons!!

👾I think Donnie would either slip for one of two reasons, Stress- from working so hard on all his inventions and tech or two Leo was bored and needed a playmate

👾In my head Donnie’s regression range is on the older end of the spectrum but if something goes particularly bad in an experiment or an invention he goes deep into regression

👾His usual regression range I’d say is maybe 6-8 making him more of a kid regressor but if something goes wrong and he’s deep into it I’d say 0-3.

👾Donnie doesn’t take very good care of himself while he’s big so he is absolutely not allowed to be left unattended while small, even if he’s at his oldest age

👾This frustrates the little tot. A lot.

👾But he’s easy to calm down, put him in front of the projector and stick Little Einsteins or Sid the Science Kid on and he’ll stop his whining

👾And I mean stop, that boy shuts up immediately. He could be in the middle of talking and if you turn those on he just stops and stares

👾On this topic science museums. (I could do a whole set of hc’s based off this) he loves them

👾He’s not allowed in his lab when regressed, that was a rule set by big Donnie out of pure fear that he’s gonna break something he worked very hard on

👾When Donnie first regressed he was scared. He got so scared, that he slipped further into his regression going from a solid 6-4 within seconds

👾He cried, then toddled into Leo’s room and cried more because he trusted his twin more than anyone else with this new strange feeling

👾After Donnie fully grasps what is going on he tells Raph and Mikey, Leo becomes his primary cg because he was the first to know and Leo is his twin, so if Donnie goes non verbal they can use their “twin telepathy”

👾Donnie swears the twin telepathy thing is fake but somehow Leo always knows what little Donnie needs

👾Donnie doesn’t bite very often (Little fun fact here, softhells are very possessive of their things and very often bite and don’t let go for awhile) but when he’s little, those chompers get put to use

👾Leo once took a crayon off Donnie once so he could colour in with his Hermano pequeño. Donnie bit. And Donnie bit hard

👾Leo didn’t bleed but he screamed, Raph came over and had to physically pry Donatello off his brother who was inspecting his new bite wound. It scarred over

👾After that they bought Donnie a paci- for Leo’s safety. It’s purple (obvie) but that’s it’s only distinguishing feature. Donnie doesn’t like the ones that are covered in gems and beads, they distract him too much

👾If both of that disaster twins have slipped it results in both Raph and Mikey taking care of them because, while Leo is a handful by himself and Donnie is relatively easy putting them together causes chaos

👾Donnie typically regresses to be the older twin in this situation so he’s easier to calm down and stop him being a little shit, then once he’s been told he’ll immediately tell Leo to stop

👾Don would be such a little cutie to take care of, an absolute angel for you as he politely awaits his praise and for you to tell him how good he’s behaving

🏒 He's a very cuddly baby,loves affection and being held by his caregiver. Its the fastest way to calm him down and help him slip into little space

🏒 Another thing that helps him is his pacifier. He has a few but the very first one his sensei gave him will always be his favorite. NEVER take it away. He WILL cry

🏒 He's a lot less coordinated when he's little. He usually grabs things with his whole fist and really has a hard time with anything that has buttons or laces. But he still tries,even if he gets frustrated and needs his caregiver

🏒 Speaking of which,he is VERY protective and clingy towards his caregiver. It doesn't matter what they're doing,he's always a step behind them and somehow always finds a way to hold onto them

🏒 Despite this,he can actually be independent when his caregiver is busy. He has his schedule memorized and sticks to it very rigidly. Like his sensei taught him,sticking to schedules is very,very important

🏒 But that doesn't mean he's above bending the rules a little. If his caregiver has to stay up to do something he'll fight his internal clock just to spend more time with them. Usually his body wins in the end and he needs to be carried to bed

🏒 He needs his turtle plushie to fall asleep. It reminds him of his sensei and his hugs always soothe him to sleep

I actually was not familiar with the show and only just started watching because of this request believe it or not. I’ve had the flu for the past week and thought ‘hey why not? I have plenty of spare free time.’

~Raph who’s stubborn about regressing and only really lets himself be small once he sees that Leo is regressed.

~Having a goal of trying every single pizza combination when small. Something that Donnie or Mikey set up because they’re brother’s reactions when regressed to trying new foods is either really sweet and endearing, or down right hilarious. At this point they have a running bet on what the reaction is going to be each time.

~Leo being a very picky eater when small and just refusing sometimes to try anything different even if he was fine trying a new flavor last time.

I know this might be a really basic hc but I love it >:3

~Leo acting out all of his plans with action figures when small.

~Similarly going over the mission and replaying all of the parts that he thought were the coolest.

~Getting Raph to play out the part as the bad guy for him. Which doesn’t usually turn out well as Leo planned. Chances being that Ralph doesn’t really wants to play the bad guy.

~Splinter walking in on Leo and Raph playing and asking what they are doing. He would definitely join in from time to time. Small indulgences.
