@tmaynt Day 26 - Favourite Series

You absolutely cannot make me play favourites with my children (I will be here forever), so here - have a Mutant Mayhem Raph.

I've dipped in and out of the TMNT fandom over the years, but Mutant Mayhem was the most recent thing to have dragged me back in and put me in a chokehold! I'm very excited (and nervous...) about the sequel and the upcoming animated series! So, while it's not a series yet and I can't say it's my favourite without also mentioning most of the other series in the franchise, it's definitely very special to me!

Big shout outs to 1987, 2003, 2012, the 1990 movie, SOTO, OOTS and the Mirage comics for also being very important to me... 😅

Do you guys prefer the version with or without text?

I've accepted I'm just behind at this point lol, but getting through it. Quite happy with this one. I wanted a picture that really shows them rising, in this case literally. Raph being the foundation and helping to support his brothers and they in turn will lift him and each other up when they need it. Couldn't quite figure out how to colour Mikey's hair and make it look good lol.

I have the WIPs bellow if anyone's interested. I put a fair bit of thought into the composition.

I love Rise and I most likely have it to thank for the domino affect of getting me actually into the TMNT fandom, but it was 2003 that I watched when I was little and what made me interested in the turtles to begin with. I also just really love the story lines and the dynamics between the characters and the serious (but also occasionally silly) tones that it has. It's my beloved series <3

Definitely Krang Prime from the rise movie, he was scary powerful and a BIG inspiration for all the what if's? and AUs that the fandom created

ahhh we're nearing the end! day 26 of tmaynt!!

i think its probably pretty obvious but 2012 is probably my favorite to draw and it was what started my love for tmnt about a decade ago, but i dont think i can actually choose between 2012, 2003 and rise. i also watched the entirety of 2003 way back when i first got into tmnt and 2012 and 2003 constantly wrestled for my favorite, but now that ive also finished rise its wiggled its way up there and all three are very good and very important to me for very different reasons

TMayNT Day 26: Favorite Series

Day 26 of @tmaynt Prompt: Favorite Series!

I feel like this doesn't need to be said, given what most of my prompt images have been about, but I'll say it anyway! 2003 is my top favorite series! It was the version that got me into the TMNT franchise as a whole, has helped shape me as both an artist and as a person, and helped me through times of high stress were I was so lost and had nothing looking up for me!

I don't think I would've thought in a million years that a show about four ninja turtle brothers fighting bad guys would've ever had the impact it has on me, and yet...here I am! And here they are, still in my life! Shaping it to this day! Now when people irl think of me, they think of four things! Dragons, Art, Spyro, and TMNT. And you know what, I'm happy with that.

Fell behind on @tmaynt but here's what I have so far.

24. A Turtle + Villain Dynamic: Brain was tired so I asked my friend what to draw and she said "'87 Krang biting Donnie's head." I wanted to draw a Krang at some point, so this was perfect.

25. Your Turtlesona: They'll never suspect a thing.

26. A series: I don't think I've ever attempted old skool Mirage before.

27. A mutant/ alien villain: Warren Stone, the greatest nemesis of all time or something.
