Donatello and Leonardo have something in common, they both asked their family to die.

After Same As It Never Was, there’s no way that Don didn’t have some idea of what Leo was going through. Knowing that your family has so much faith in you as to follow through with a plan that might not have a way out, that can be terrifying. Even if there’s no other choice.

The great thing about trust though, is that it can go both ways. Just as they are there to follow Leo, his brothers are also there to catch him when he falls.

something so endearing about 03 turtles is the way they wordlessly understand each other

(no i dont mean this as him literally watching 9 different episodes of voyager at once, it was just a more fun way of representing his thoughts lmao, they have so many tvs for some reason might as well use them)

(I'm behind and now doing these out of order slightly buy oh well lol)

I love Rise and I most likely have it to thank for the domino affect of getting me actually into the TMNT fandom, but it was 2003 that I watched when I was little and what made me interested in the turtles to begin with. I also just really love the story lines and the dynamics between the characters and the serious (but also occasionally silly) tones that it has. It's my beloved series <3

@tinylantern @tmntkiseki has not only been making me slowly fall in love with her OC, but she's converting me into an IseultxDonnie shipper.

Anyway, museum dates are fun, but I can imagine it would be especially fun for Iseult, who's learning about Earth history/culture.

They're dumbasses, your honor. Like, at this moment, neither of them actually believe they're sibling. (Mikey and Leo are dead set on it but these two are skeptical.) Yet they spend two minutes alone and devolve into sibling bickering. something i had not planned on when i went to make this comic. They did this on their own lol!

Bonus Traximus Reaction to finding his ward bickering like a child with one of the newbies

Honestly, it's actually a pretty important moment for both Rafa and Traximus. Rafa because that's that's the moment they realize Donny has like no self preservation instinct, so if he won't protect himself, Rafa will, while he's around to do it at least. It's important for Traximus b/c for the first time in years, he's seeing his ward acting like a child and he pretty much decides right then and there that 1) They're definitely siblings, and 2) if these 3 strangers actually manage to escape this place, he is making Rafa go with them.

Anyways, here's my little experiment with limited color pallets. I'm not sure i'll do this again b/c it was kinda annoying to figure out the colors first (especially since i knew i wanted both variations of red and purple but couldn't find a good pallet for that. Thus i ended up with this one.)

ps. Donny's shoulder is a reoccurring problem at this point b/c he won't let it rest long enough to heal properly. The injury first happened during "shredder strikes back" events and since Donny decided to start his training pretty much immediately upon getting to the farm house, it hasn't had the rest it needs to properly recover. theoretically, it should be healed by now, but he keeps pushing himself and re-injuring it, a fact he's been hiding as much as he possibly can.

Day 28: favourite turtle intro/song

You guessed it, for me it's 2003 theme just because it has the nostalgia feel to it and it has a variety which I like. That's why you get two pics but different lyrics on them from that song from different seasons. You can see how I gave up on this and rushed the coloring part, as I should be in bed by now but wanted to finish this before day ends and there might be mistakes.

you know how canonically one of the first words the turtles say is star trek? and you know how 03 are the right age to have grown up watching all of the different treks? they each have a different favorite.

One thing I think is funny about Donatello is he is absolutely unhinged no matter which iteration.

Like, yeah Rise Donnie is probably the most overt version of completely unhinged Donatello because he'd chug Uranium and fistfight Cthulhu. And you have whatever is going on with 2012 Donnie and that version of April 😨. But I would like to bring up some of the absolutely hilarious unhinged things some of the other Donnie's have done.

87 Donatello:

-has a personality altering ray that caused so many shenanigans but he kept anyways

-frequently talks about how he wishes he was a regular turtle with no higher thought

-was electrocuted once which convinced him he was Batman then proceeded to try and off Shredder on his own (and almost succeeded)

-literally just makes things blow up for fun

-if at first brains don't succeed, violence is the answer. (he's got a temper than can rival most Raphael's)

-he likes being in jail

03 Don:

-nearly drove himself insane trying to save his dad from cyberspace

-saw some rabbit making googoo eyes at his brother and chose violence.

-also makes bombs and missiles for fun

-Raph's #1 enabler (you'd think it's Mikey but no. Mikey eggs Raph on a ton but no. it's Don. they're the og disaster twins)

07 Donnie:

-bro works IT. That's it. That's the post lol.

I'm not familiar with the comics, IDW or Mirage, so I can't really comment on them. But I'm pretty convinced Mirage Donatello would be a war criminal.

Also Bayverse isn't included because I hate them.
