One of the funniest things about TLM to me is that Finn, a ten year old kid, managed to create a well-structured movie plot with interesting characters by sitting in his basement in secret playing with Legos.

ELABORATE MORE ON LITTLE MERMAID AU????

Uhm... I... don't have anything...?

😭😭😭 I'm so sorry omg it was just a whim and the only thought i had was like omg Bianca sounds like Ariel minus the falling in love part so I just ajdajsdhak went with it. I absolutely had no idea how the story might progress beyond whatever I posted about it.

But since you asked. Maybe I can try to provide some concepts.

The barest idea I have of this TLM AU stems from an old post about a deep-sea merman Nico - which is exactly what I decided to go with in this particular AU.

Which, ok, maybe doesn't go that well with the fact that Percy is a human. He'd probably die before sinking low enough to reach Nico.

But heyyyyyy how about we make Nico rise to the surface once in every while to wreak havoc on those who harm his sister? And Percy - the risk-taking dumbass he is - decides to jump right into the myth of a sea monster because he, well, is a dumbass?

(Told ya I have solutions for everything)

I just love the concept you know? Nico as the giant, oversized sea creature that locks himself away out of sheer grief for his sister and resentment towards the humans.

When he's at the bottom of the ocean, hugging himself and weeping, earthquakes stem from his cries that reverberate through the seabed; his tears turn into deep, vicious currents that suck boats and ships into vortexes, sinking them.

When he rises though, the sea rages with him. It's a disaster for any ship that comes near him. Every sway of his tail sends tsunamis across the ocean. He doesn't cry but his tears still fall, drop after drop of silver that freezes the surface because he brings the coldness of the trenches with him.

I have two visions about this AU.

The first is when Percy decides to take his chance with the sea-monster-that-heralds-disasters myth. He takes a smaller boat and not unexpectedly, he falls into the water, and catches sight of Nico. He sees his glowing pale skin, the chaotic currents wrapping around him, and the dark, dark eyes that nearly suck Percy's soul into the trenches. Just this... overwhelming presence of something that's so much larger, greater than him - a mere pirate obsessed with conquering the ocean.

(Nico sees him, too, but Percy's just a human to him then, something he can't bring himself to care whether they're dead or alive)

That encounter should scare Percy off. But he loves the seas too much and risk-taking even more to back off now. He also wants to come to the bottom of this myth, because in his opinion, Nico, albeit scary, seems so sad. His sadness overflows the water, and Percy can feel it.

Percy's a dumbass, but Annabeth, his navigator, isn't. She suggests asking around, so they go to the nearest town and do just that.

Percy meets Hazel, in this case, is exactly the Witch. She's the protector of the seaside town that's the nearest to Nico's residence.

(Obviously) Hazel is Nico's sister - once a mermaid, now staying on land to shield the innocent humans that her sister loved from her brother's grief.

When the vague story that Hazel tells doesn't satisfy him, Percy says he would find out by himself. Hazel realizes that Percy's interest is genuine with such a rasp enthusiasm to learn about Nico, she entrusts her hope in him. That comes in the shape of a protection spell that might aid Percy in his journey through the despair that Nico might bestow.

And there Percy goes. He goes to Nico, under the water. He sees Nico closely for the first time and he wants to see closer. Their eyes meet. Percy gets to hear Nico's voice - the rumbles of the seabed, the whales' weeping, the tunes of undercurrent waves. They talk.

Nico after such a long time away from contact, doesn't understand how a human can dive so low and get past the barrier of his tears so many times. Although the resentment he still holds prompts him to chase Percy away with a flap of his fins a few times, he's come to question Percy's intention.

This time, Nico holds Percy in his large hands - never close to touching but enough to appear cherishing - and listens to what he has to say.

Percy's inquiry, however, sets Nico off - ("I won't kill you, but with you and your kind, the emptiness inside me would never heal") - and Percy's sent back to the surface through powerful rushing water.

The next time they meet is when Nico rises to the surface to gaze toward the faraway land and wonder what was so beautiful about the humans that managed to take Bianca away from him. The sea, in tune with Nico's grief, rages. Though, Percy has never been one to surrender a few waves.

He goes again. Without Hazel's protection though. He goes through all that natural disaster by himself to reach Nico's side. He nearly dies, of course - and he would have been if not for Nico's hands shielding him from the rain and storms. Nico's tears are dry on his face, and Percy watches them shimmering under the dark of the merman's irises from where he lays between Nico's freezing large pale fingers.

Percy's stubbornness prompts Nico to see humans in a different light.

And that's everything LMAO I'm too old for this. Yes I've just come up with all of that^^^ as I wrote. As I've said, all I have is the visions. It'd be months or years (or an eternity) until I write something ajsdhajkdas.

Hugging a Goddess and Minifigurine + Plushie Android!

The Bianca and Android one is very heavy on lore, but to do a small summary:

Bianca apologizes for not being able to give Android an happy life and proper healing until now (aftermath of Dangervest Mide Events, where he almost killed Watevra and planned to destroy himself, because he hated himself and was blinded by the pain of his memories coming back), and Android, who just accepted that he loves who he is now, forgives her and hugs her.

These are sillies I made on a server for/with my friends. He's friend shaped.

Warning! Long ramble about Rex ahead!

I've been doing a lot of thinking about this scene. I'll try my best to organize my thoughts!

(heads up: This is operating under the assumption that (basically) everything that happens in the movies is real.)

To begin with, we gotta address the irony of this line... Like, Rex, you do realize that you're just a piece of plastic too, right? And so is Emmet?

But before I look at that, I wanna touch on the line he says right after that,

"You still wanna go back to the Matrix when you know the truth???"

Now, I haven't seen The Matrix, I'll admit to that. But because it's ingrained in pop culture, I know the gist of it.

But anyway, one obvious truth from it is that once you're aware the world is a simulation, you can never really go back completely, not without sacrifice, because you know it's not real.

Now, call me captain obvious, but by his line there, he clearly can't be referring to his time on Undar--because Emmet hadn't experienced that, nor had he understood when Rex told him about it. I'm convinced he has to be referring to the first movie, and their experience in the Realm of the Man Upstairs.

While he was there in the first movie Emmet saw his world for what it was. He saw Finn playing with Benny's spaceship, hinting at the kind of control Finn had over his world. but Emmet himself interacts with Finn himself.

As far as Emmet knows... He's different. He's not under Finn's control. All of his friends? Things made up by a giant unknown creature. But not him.

He knows the nature of his world, but is still happy to rejoin it, so long as he has a place in it...

But then came Undar.

On Undar he sees, yet again, the absolute lack of control his world has. The moment Finn leaves the picture and Bianca takes over, it's as if he never existed in the first place. He doesn't recognize his friends, because the personalities he'd come to know, literally, the people he knew, were completely gone.

It's there that he realizes that they truly are pieces of plastic.

I can't imagine how fucking lonely that must have felt. To see how little your life truly mattered in the universe, that you could be warped and changed without recognition and be none the wiser, to know who you were was as inconsequential as a thought.

As far as Rex knows, he and Emmet are the only Real ones in existence. The only ones that can retain who they are.

Rather ironic, again, when we see how much Rex changes himself.

So when he says "You still wanna go back to The Matrix?" it's more so incredulity that he, as Emmet, ever wanted to go back, that he ever put any value into the world that was nothing but an illusion.

This could also explain why Rex was so quick to turn on Emmet in Undar. Once he saw Emmet wasn't going to change, was never going to give up on his fantasy world, he had no problem seeking to destroy him. In the Realm of the Man Upstairs, knew he would live on, since he's Real. He could get rid of this failure, further cementing himself as Rex, and move on to the next timeline to try again.

It's when Lucy enters the picture and brings back Imagination that things go to shit for Rex. Outside of the Realm of the Man Upstairs they're under the giant beings' control again. What happens here is out of Rex's ability to change.

And, sure enough, Finn has him disappear.

It's just... So, so fucking sad. Can you just imagine how many nights Emmet must have lain awake during those five years, bearing the weight of his knowledge of the entire world on his shoulders? Knowing everything was an illusion?? His home, his friends, Lucy, all just the product of a child's imagination???

No wonder Emmet was able to move on so easily once Rex disappeared.

It really was easier for him to forget the nature of The Matrix and just rejoin it and be happy. Having to deal with the weight of it would crush and mangle him, the way it had Rex.

Lego Movie 2 Spoilers Ahead

Okay so I’m probably not the first person to notice this but. Yknow how Queen Watevra assumes her weird monster form will be more palatable to Lucy and the squad? That’s big time foreshadowing to when Mayhem explains that they were trying to be tough so that everyone could understand each other and get along... that’s bianca being like “oh my big brother wouldn’t like my magic horse I should make her a monster so he’ll like her better” and idk about y’all but that Hit Me

Been writing a merfolk AU for myself that centers around GekiShipping. But...this is Spokeshipping. Okay, I was doing GekiShipping drawings but I either was not satisfied with them or I'm taking too long with them. But this little doodle was actually pretty cute.

Without over explaining everything, basically it's about human Montgomery and merboy Stephan falling in love but because of you know, obvious issues with coexisting, they sort of break up and Stephan meets mermaid Bianca. But he's not sure hense the expression. Bianca is smitten tho :) Again, not sure where I'm going with this, it's just brain storming

And mermaids do not wear any tops in this interpretation. But...I'm barely showing anything here so I don't think Tumblr will get mad.

Tails are in the style of Disney's TLM cause it's real easy to replicate and I like it.

Everyone had heard the horror story that was the sole reason behind their bi-weekly routine checks of the Stairgate: the tragedy of Rex Dangervest. How, after his ship crashed in the Stairgate, he had been paralyzed for five years on a hostile dust planet, until pure rage and betrayal had freed him from that prison. Mayhem had shuddered upon hearing the tale, but like everyone else, had put it out of mind. 

But now, that story was all she could think about. The same thing had happened to her now. The paralysis, strange and unfamiliar surroundings, inability to speak… It all lined up. She was sure of it. But she hadn't even crashed into a glassteroid!! What had caused her ship to--?! 

"Mayhem!!!"

An unfamiliar voice suddenly cut through Mayhem's thoughts, startling her back to the present.

She had never heard that voice in her life, and yet, the amount of genuine fear and concern in its tone suggested otherwise. It sounded like it belonged to a young girl? But it was so loud, not like any young girl Mayhem had ever heard…

"Mayhem?? Where are you?!?"
