It's one little sneeze

Spring has arrived in Volterra. The trees are starting to bloom, then the blooms will fall when the leaves begin to grow to take their place. The air is filled with excitement while the human citizens of the city begin to plan several upcoming festivals. Unfortunately for you, with Spring comes sneezing fits. Your mates are vampires, the three leaders of the Volturi coven.

It was during one of the castle tours. You got in for free, thanks to a woman named Heidi, but found yourself about to be attacked mid-tour. Except for the quick reflexes from the tall man sitting on a dais where three thrones were, you might have died. The masters took you in and discovered their link to you. Marcus had seen the bonds first, telling both Aro and Caius you had to stay. He warned them not to harm you, but to offer you a home here, with them as your mates, and for the meantime, as a human. You were grateful when you heard that. But now that Spring was here, you wondered if that was such a smart idea. You suffered from allergies, and would sneeze whenever a breeze blew through the garden. Any irritant would set you off actually, but this was your first Spring in Italy.

The Volturi had defeated werewolves, immortal children, and the entire Romanian coven. Yet these ancients, these super-educated men, these police of the vampire community, your loving mates for many months...find themselves flummoxed by a sneeze.

The strange thing was your sneezes were like that of a baby. Tight, quiet, and at times, they had almost a musical quality to them. It wasn't that you tried to hold them in. They just came out as tiny sneezes.

When Aro had first heard the sound, he looked around the throne room from the table where he had been sifting through some old manuscripts. The smallest bit of dust from them set off a sneezing fit in you. He flashes to your side. "What is that noise?"

"I'm sorry, Aro. I...I...*hu...he...*snirt* The dust from your old books made me sneeze," you explain, before sneezing again and wiping your nose.

Aro's eyes go wide. "If you are ill, then you should be in bed." Before you can object, he picks you up in his arms and runs quickly to his rooms. All the while, you protest this is normal for you and that you're not ill. Once in his rooms that he sometimes shares with you, Aro takes you to the bedroom, removes your shoes, and orders you to undress, picking out a nightgown from one of your drawers. He hands it to you and once you've put it on, he tucks you into bed.

You sneeze again, the sound muffled naturally.

Marcus has entered Aro's bedroom, having heard the sounds when they originated from the throne room. Seeing Aro, he flashes to his brother's side. "Is something wrong with our mate, Aro? What is that sound she's making?"

"She says nothing is wrong, Marcus. It's normal," he pronounces doubtfully, emphasizing the word "normal".

Caius storms in a few minutes later, concern on his youthful face. "What is going on? I heard some repetitive noise coming from this room. Who is being strangled?" he demands, ready to fight for your safety.

"No one! Caius, it's just me. The dust from the old books in the throne room made me sneeze. It may sound...different, but I can't help that," you say. "My doctor says it has something to do with my lung capacity or trachea size. I'm fine though. Even if you are thousands of years old, I can't believe none of you remember what a sneeze is."

Marcus sits on the side of the bed, taking your hand in concern. "Can we get anything for you, my dear?"

"Yes, please. Tissue boxes, several. And nose spray. It might clear my sinuses." You lay back, thinking of taking the slightest advantage of your mates' distress. How long had it been since they were human? Did they really forget what a sneeze was? Were they willing to do anything you asked?

"Aro, I could use a cup of hot tea, or maybe a whole pot. And maybe a few of the chef's homemade cookies?"

"Will that help you?" he asks, worried that you might need a human physician instead.

"It can't hurt," you answer, trying to keep from smiling. "And no doctors!" You might fool the masters, but you'd never fool a real doctor.

Caius sits on the other side of the bed from Marcus, while Aro flies to the kitchen to see what the chef can make up for you.

"Is there anything we can do for you, love?"

You frown, as if in pain and ask for a movie to watch. Caius goes to the TV in the room and offers various names of films Aro has bought for you. Just as he is putting in the movie for you, Aro returns with a tray carrying a tea pot, a cup, and a plate of chocolate chip peanut butter cookies. The breeze that accompanies his speedy gait carries pollen from the garden and you begin to sneeze again.

*snirt* ahhh...oh no...he-choo!" You curse with each sneeze, holding your nose while your mates wait patiently. Marcus pours you some tea and hands you the cup. You feel miserable, but loved as you grab a cookie off the plate. The three masters join you on Aro's huge bed, and all four of you watch the movie you requested, the original version of Fright Night. It never fails to make the Volturi masters laugh.

I saw that question about sneezes, and all I can think about now is my adorable bby blondie's lil sneezes (Leo, if that wasn't painfully obvious).

I need to request him with a cold!!! Maybe Jon has a day off and is chilling at home, and he's surprised when Leo comes home from work early. And he realizes that Leo is all sniffly, voice a bit scratchy, and a little bit feverish. I'm not thinking full-on delirious fever, but maybe a mix of dizziness, clinginess, wanting to be babied, and even a lil bit emotional for whatever reason??? And Jon is just so in love and finds Leo absolutely adorable when he's all clingy and cute, especially with those lil cute sneezes!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

"C'mere," Jonah said, picking up JD off the floor and falling on the couch himself. The cat let out an indignant meow, but she didn't move away from him as he squirmed against the cushions, smoothing his hand over her fur. Jonah smiled, bumping his own nose with his kitten's own little triangular nose, "you're so cute," he whispered, keeping his voice low despite being alone in the house.

JD meowed again, purring and stepping on his chest so she could rub her head to his chin several times. He kissed her between her ears, "I love you too, darling..."

His heart jumped straight to his throat as the front door of their apartment opened and in marched Leo. Jonah's ears were buzzing, whole face aflame with embarrassment and he wondered how much of this uncanny display of affection his fiancé had seen. He was about to ask Leo, when the blonde let out a groan and sat in the armchair opposite to him.

He was folded in half, elbows on his knees and head buried in his hands, fingers curling at the root of his hair.

Jonah frowned, "what's wrong?"

Leo let out a groan and Jon let go of JD in order to sit up correctly and scoot closer. He was about to touch Leo's shoulder, when the blonde suddenly jerked with a series of tiny, dainty sneezes.

Jonah's jaw fell and he took one second before cackling, "how- Oh my god, that was adorable!"

"Shuduup, jerk," Leo whined, sitting up straight and rubbing at his nose. Now close enough to inspect him, Jonah could tell his blue eyes had the overt shine of a fever and his nose looked red and raw from much blowing and rubbing with tissues.

"I didn't know you sneezed like that! How didn't I know?!" Jonah exclaimed, moving closer and Leo swatted his hand away when the man tried touching his cheeks and forehead to feel for the fever, "it's so cute."

"Fuckoff," Leo slurred, before his body betrayed him again and he let out another minuscule sneeze that made Jonah smile widely, a fit of cuteness aggression causing him to squish Leo's cheeks between his hands and give him a peck. The blonde glared at him as he managed to pull back, "hope you get sick."

Jon rolled his eyes, getting up to grab the thermometer, but the minute he moved to get out, Leo wrapped his arms around his waist and buried his face against Jon's stomach, "no, stay, don't go."

"I thought you told me to fuck off?" Jonah teased him, lowering his hand back down to Leo's head and petting his hair. His boyfriend muffled a groan against his stomach, which quickly morphed into a series of coughs. Still, he refused to let go, arms locked around Jonah's waist.

"-'msorry, don'wanna be alone," Leo rasped out, a moment later, his voice flickering and disappearing in between syllables, "feel like shit."

"I know," Jonah kissed the top of his head, "I wasn't leaving, I was gonna grab the first aid kit, baby."

Leo's face turned red at his own assumption Jonah was about to walk out on him and he nodded, loosening his grip, but his hands fell to the waist of Jon's pants instead of fully letting him go, "you're not mad?"

"When you sound that cute?" Jon rolled his eyes, "not even if I tried really hard."

HI!!! i wanted to ask ur opinion on how the nxx boys sneeze 😭 it was a hilarious thought because i was trying to sleep when suddenly i heard my dad make the loudest, most disruptive sneeze ever and i thought "thats so funny lol WAIT what if the tot boys sneezed".

i generally think the tot boys would be more "a-chooooo...." rather than a nuclear explosion but i need ur opinion. HOW WOULD THEY SNEEZE!!??

how the nxx boys sneeze

vyn: sneezes normal but my god he's super sensitive to allergies and, most of all, Pollen. which is hell, given that he loves to garden. but his easy workaround is just to wear a mask, and that usually saves him when hes working on his own garden. but come Pollen Season, and all the plants and trees spewing particles into the air, and hes a nose-clogged sneezy mess. his students know that when it's pollen season to not piss him off because he will be so cranky from all the sneezing and also the horrid feeling of only having one nostril unobstructed

artem: sneezes the Loud Dad Sneeze. he is the disruptive sneezer, the nuclear explosion. he is sneezing like how a lion roars deeply to establish its territory lines, except artem isnt a literal lion and does not do this on purpose. his sneezes are LOUD. the type of loud that makes people want to ask artem if hes okay afterwards cuz it's so loud it seemed like it dislodged a rib or something. it's immensely comical, given artem's usual quiet nature, that his sneezes are a force of nature. he could sneeze in his office and people all the way over in the pantry would hear it. he is, and i cannot stress this enough, so fucking embarrassed about it.

marius: the sneeze that keeps wanting to happen but Doesnt happen. you know, the cliffhanger sneeze, the sneezes that are like "ah...aaAAAHH...AAAAAAAHH—" and then the resulting "choo" doesnt happen. and this Not Happening just Keeps Happening. it's agonizing. marius will start a sneeze at 9:55am but the Conclusion Of The Sneeze only happens by 10:03am, once hes already in a meeting with the board of directors. how unsightly, he KNOWS, but the worst part really is the sheer anticipation. what marius would GIVE to have a normal sneeze.

luke: the tiniest kitten sneeze on the planet, and always 6 times consecutively in a row MINIMUM. back during the NSB Days(TM), the fearsome Agent Raven arrived at the training class he handles with a slight cold, saying he'll just monitor and teach and give pointers while socially distanced. the trainees were so scared cuz "wow, hes still coming in even when hes sick, how TERRIFYINGLY DEDICATED, to be expected from the FEARSOME AGENT RAVEN." and then luke steps back and grabs a piece of tissue, obviously rearing for a sneeze, and the trainees thought "oh i bet his sneeze is the Loud Disruptive one, just like his own scary fighting skills, to be expected from the FEARSOME AGENT RAVE—" and then

it's the smallest, cutest sneeze. one after the other. and another. and another. it was like hearing a squeaky dog toy get squeezed several times vigorously. it was like how you'd assume a pixie sneezes. it was like the sound sprinkles and pink bubbles would make if those could sneeze.

once luke is done with his consecutive sneezes (that, for the life of him, he could not stop) he promptly death-glares at the trainees and they all agree to Never Bring It Up.

but the consecutive kitten sneezes still follow luke through his life and all the way up to, yep, the nxx team being able to witness it

mc: awww, it's been so long since ive seen your cute sneeze!!

luke, nose clogged: it's [sneeze] not cute! [sneeze]

marius: it's so cute, i think my heart is melting

luke: shut [sneeze] up!

marius: AAAWWW, is the big bad agent having some twouble? >:3

i'm into contagion, i'm okay if someone just pass me their cold. but i feel guilty if i get other people sick with my horrendous cold so i try my best to cover my sneezes either with my elbow or tissues and also repeatedly wash my hand.
