Le bionde trecce, gli occhi azzurri e poi...

Ieri un blog che seguo, postando questa foto del giocatore del Napoli e della Nazionale Giovanni Di Lorenzo, ha scritto che è un Apollo.

L'aggettivo che si rifà all'estetica del Dio Greco vale in italiano giovane di grande bellezza, per lo più in frasi (talora ironiche) come essere un a.; parere, credersi un a. (e, più spesso con la maiuscola, essere, sembrare un Apollo), con riferimento alle raffigurazioni scultoree o pittoriche del dio (voce Apollo, Vocabolario Treccani).

Tolta la dimensione ironica, assente in quel post, mi è venuto in mente che rispetto ad Apollo, Di Lorenzo ha i capelli di un altro colore. Sembrerà un particolare strano, ma la Mitologia Antica ha nella dimensione tricologica un aspetto niente affatto secondario.

Partiamo da una tradizione comune: Apollo, che era molto più che il dio del sole, aveva i capelli neri, con riflessi viola (oggi diremmo corvini). Il mito della sua nascita è meraviglioso: figlio di Zeus e della titanide Leto (o Latona), fu concepito nell'ennesima avventura extraconiugale del Re degli Dei (il tono è volutamente divertito); Era, come sempre furiosa delle avventure amorose del marito, venuta a sapere che Leto fosse incinta di Zeus, proibì alla partoriente di dare alla luce suo figlio su qualsiasi terra, fosse essa un continente o un'isola. Disperata, Leto vagò fino a giungere sull'isola di Delo, appena sorta dalle acque e, stando al mito, ancora galleggiante sulle onde e non ancorata al suolo. Essendo, perciò, Delo non ancora una vera isola, Leto poté darvi alla luce Apollo e la sua gemella Artemide, precisamente ai piedi del Monte Cinto. Secondo i miti, Artemide fu la prima dei gemelli a nascere, e aiutò la madre nel parto di Apollo. Questi nacque in una notte di plenilunio, che fu da allora il giorno del mese a lui consacrato: nel momento in cui nacque il dio, cigni sacri vennero a volare sopra l'isola, facendone sette volte il giro, poiché era il settimo giorno del mese. E appena nato, la testa del neonato fu poggiata su un cespuglio di violette, che trasferirono ai capelli del Dio quella sfumatura violetta, che gli sarà cara.

Il colore scuro dei capelli di Apollo era una rarità letteraria, poichè, per esempio, Omero descrive tutti gli dei con caratteristiche opposte: ci sono studi che descrivono come il rapporto tra divinità\eroi biondi e bruni sia 10 a 1, Afrodite è bionda, come pure Demetra. Atena è, per eccellenza, “l’occhicerulea Atena”. Il termine adoperato è glaukopis, che certo è in relazione anche con la civetta, sacra alla dea (glaux = civetta: occhi scintillanti, occhi di civetta), simbolo di saggezza. Oltre a ciò, altri leggendari eroi erano biondi: Menelao, Peleo, Achille e suo figlio Neottolemo, Meleagro, Radamanto, Clizio, Camerte. Si dice che persino Alessandro Magno fosse biondo.

Sappiamo con certezza dagli studi genetici sui resti nelle tombe che gli antichi greci e romani fossero molto più comunemente "di tipo mediterraneo", cioè pelle scura, occhi scuri, capelli scuri. Questa affermazione non vuol dire che non esistessero persone con i capelli biondi o gli occhi chiari, vuole dire che questi ultimi erano una minoranza genetica, almeno fino alla Roma Imperiale. Eppure l'essere biondi, essendo in minoranza, era considerato molto più affascinante. Pratica comune, tra le donne ricche, ma era pratica conturbante nei lupanari delle prostituite, era quella di colorare i capelli di biondo usando delle costosissime tinture allo zafferano o polveri colorate: le cronache del tempo ci dicono che richiedesse un grande sforzo per l'applicazione e avesse un odore ripugnante. Tra l'altro, la stessa parola biondo ha etimologia oscura: origine certa della parola è comunque l'antico francese blond (e il provenzale blon) da cui lo spagnolo blondo (poi sostituito nell'uso comune da rubio, dal latino rubeus, "rosso") e l'italiano biondo; i greci antichi per esempio usavano gli aggettivi xanthòs e xoutòs “biondo”, pyrrhòs “fulvo” e chrysoeidés “aureo”, riferiti ai capelli di uomini o Dei, aggettivi che corrispondono perfettamente al latino flavus, fulvus e auricomus; per descrivere le chiome lunghe e bionde usavano termini specifici come chrysokàrenos “testa bionda”, o chrysokóme “chioma d’oro”. E quest'eco rimane nella cultura occidentale, per esempio, nella ritrattistica medioevale e primo rinascimentale, dove è davvero difficile, se non in autoritratti, trovare una figura femminile simbolica che non sia bionda o dai capelli chiari.

Su questo fatto sono nate molte teorie: alcune sfiorano il razzismo, altre furono lo spunto per una certa storiografia mitteleuropea che vedeva già all'epoca greca antica caratteristiche dello spirito razionale dell'Europa centrale, dove si presume siano partiti per quelle terre i biondi (in pratica, una versione filo nazista della dicotomia nietzschiana apolinneo\dionisiaco), esistono inoltre decine di libri sull'origine "Indoeuropea" dei greci rispetto a quella levantina (che sarebbero i fenici, e le popolazioni del mediterraneo orientale).

È famosa non solo per la sua disarmante bellezza artistica, ma anche perché è il primo nudo femminile dell'arte greca e perché, secondo tutte le fonti, aveva i capelli biondi.

Le origini dei colori tradizionali del Giappone si perdono nell’antichità. Dal fiore di ciliegio al bambù fuligginoso, dal verde aghi di pino alla vasta gamma dei marroni tè, i loro nomi evocano il fascino che da sempre la natura e il mutare delle stagioni esercitano sulla sensibilità giapponese. Inizialmente adottati nell’abbigliamento per indicare il rango, i colori tradizionali hanno visto i loro significati espandersi nel corso del tempo fino a includere oggi ogni sorta di oggetto di design. Questo volume celebra una selezione di 200 colori (iro, in giapponese), ciascuno esemplificato da uno o più oggetti che vanno dai kimono del XVI secolo alle sedute contemporanee, dagli utensili da cucina alle più raffinate ceramiche. Accanto a creatori quali Naoto Fukasawa, Issey Miyake e Reiko Sudo ritroviamo talenti meno noti o del tutto sconosciuti che hanno dato forma a una peculiare e durevole tradizione del design nipponico, tra tecniche artigianali ancestrali e tecnologie d’avanguardia. Sei solo una ragazza di un paese molto distante da me, in fondo, ma sei il tipo di ragazza che mi piace, me ne sono accorto subito.

Alta, i seni che si intravedono sotto la maglietta, la vita sottile sui fianchi rotondi, il sedere alto di ragazza, le gambe solide nei jeans.

Nel sogno sei seduta dietro al bancone del negozio dove lavori, e mi parli sorridente di armadi, ripiani, ante… io non ascolto una parola di quello che dici: ti osservo, e chissà se tu l’hai capito.

Gli occhi li hai grandi; grandi, verdi, dalle iridi cosparse di pagliuzze dorate. Le tue labbra hanno il colore e la lucentezza delle ciliegie, con gli angoli che a seconda del momento sono appena rivolti all’insù o all’ingiù, che ti danno a volte un’aria buffa, e a tratti ti rendono simile ad un idolo arcaico, una statua etrusca.

Penso a quanto mi piacerebbe succhiarle, quelle labbra, sentirne la morbida consistenza sotto la mia lingua…

Guardo i tuoi capelli, una massa di capelli lisci biondo cenere, che continui a spostare con le mani.

A un tratto ti alzi, devi prendere qualcosa dallo scaffale che è dietro di te, ti pieghi e mi lasci guardare la striscia di pelle nuda fra la camicia ed i jeans; intravedo le fasce muscolari dei dorsali e -meraviglia!- le fossette sulle reni, la mia passione, il particolare incantevole e irresistibile…

Ti muovi sicura, atletica e sorridente. Io ho la gola secca, non dico quasi una parola; ti guardo come si guarda una Madonna in una chiesa, e mi sembri un miracolo. Come fare per farti capire quello che mi susciti? E tu, cosa faresti se lo sapessi? Mi guarderesti indignata, offesa e magari schifata… Oppure mi sorrideresti ancor più di come stai facendo, la smetteresti di parlare di mobili e ti avvicineresti a me… Sto male dalla voglia di toccarti, toccare i tuoi capelli e affondarci il viso dentro, accarezzarti il viso con le labbra, baciarti quella bocca così lucida e carnosa, sentire il tuo calore contro il mio corpo e poi inginocchiarmi davanti a te, la bocca sulla pelle abbronzata al di sopra dei jeans, liscia pelle compatta di giovane animale… Tu parli ancora, questa volta di  venature e tinture da legno, ed io ti fisso muto, pensando a quanto mi piacerebbe infilarti le mani sotto la camicetta e sfiorarti le mammelle dure con le punte in rilievo, allegre, provocanti; un bacio per ogni efelide ed ogni neo, ti farei il solletico, rideresti mentre un brivido ti scuote e ti indurisce i capezzoli, ti solleva, elettrica, la sottile peluria bionda sulle braccia fresche. Non ridere, non ridere, chiudi gli occhi mentre ti slaccio i jeans e appoggio la mia bocca sulle tue mutandine, chiudo gli occhi anch’io, vedi, non voglio più guardare adesso, voglio solo sentire il tuo odore, il tuo odore intenso di femmina giovane. Sento che mi vuoi anche tu, ora, i tuoi muscoli sono rilassati, spingi il bacino contro il mio viso, mi accarezzi la testa…

Non parli più. Mi guardi interrogativa, i grandi occhi un po’ stupiti: “Allora signore, che venatura preferisce, noce o mogano?”

Sorrido; il sogno è finito e non sarà mai altro che un sogno, andrà ad aggiungersi a tutti gli altri sogni simili che affollano la parte invisibile dell’universo e tu, ragazza, non saprai mai di esserne stata l’inconsapevole protagonista.

A me resta l’amarezza di non poterti dire quello che sei, o meglio quello che potresti essere per chi ti sa guardare.

Oltre a creare unguenti, riconoscere piante selvatiche, coltivare orti, allevare galline e seguire un'apiario, ho appena aperto un nuovo capitolo nella mia avventura verde:

la tintura naturale di filati e stoffe!

Un mondo dove i colori non sono solo pigmenti, ma storie di piante, sole e terra!

Mi sono tuffata in questa affascinante pratica e voglio scoprire tutti i segreti su come si creano le tinture naturali, come fissare i colori sui tessuti e, soprattutto, come la natura ci regala una tavolozza di colori straordinari.

Per il mio primo esperimento, ho deciso di tingere dei tessuti con il marrone estratto dai malli di noce.

Il noce, un albero maestoso che può raggiungere i 25 metri di altezza, è originario dell'Himalaya e la sua storia in Europa risale a epoche antichissime.

Non solo è stato utilizzato in medicina e nell'edilizia, ma ci offre anche un'affascinante sostanza tintoria che regala un ricco colore marrone.

E sapete qual è il bello? Il nome "noce" deriva dal latino "Iovis Glans", ovvero "ghianda di Giove".

La retinopatia, un insieme di malattie che colpiscono la retina, è stata associata all'uso di tinture per capelli contenenti ammine aromatiche, secondo uno studio guidato da Nicolas Chirpaz all'Ospedale Civile di Lione, pubblicato su JAMA Ophthalmology. Le ammine aromatiche sono sostanze chimiche utilizzate principalmente nella produzione di coloranti per tessuti, pelle e carta. Nei casi studiati, tre pazienti di mezza età hanno mostrato segni di retinopatia dopo l'esposizione a queste tinture. Uno dei casi riportati è quello di una donna di 61 anni, inizialmente in buona salute, che ha sperimentato visione sfocata bilaterale pochi giorni dopo aver tinto i capelli con una tintura commerciale che conteneva parafenilendiammina, un tipo di ammina aromatica. La sua acutezza visiva era di 20/40 nell'occhio destro e 20/20 nell'occhio sinistro. La diagnosi di retinopatia è stata effettuata sulla base della correlazione temporale tra l'esposizione alle tinture e l'insorgenza dei sintomi. Dopo la sospensione dell'uso della tintura, la condizione si è risolta nel giro di quattro mesi, e l'acuità visiva è tornata a 20/20. Negli anni successivi, la paziente ha utilizzato solo tinture prive di ammine aromatiche e non ha avuto ulteriori problemi visivi. Sebbene la retinopatia da ammine aromatiche sia considerata rara, la possibilità che lesioni del cuoio capelluto possano facilitare l’assorbimento di queste sostanze chimiche potrebbe spiegare in parte la sua rarità, anche se nei casi analizzati non sono state riscontrate lesioni cutanee. È possibile che la retinopatia sia sottodiagnosticata e che l'identificazione di questa patologia permetta di valutare l'opportunità di limitare l'esposizione a tinture per capelli potenzialmente dannose per la retina. In sintesi, l'associazione tra la retinopatia e l'uso di tinture per capelli contenenti ammine aromatiche solleva preoccupazioni sulla sicurezza di tali prodotti e sottolinea l'importanza di monitorare l'impatto di questi agenti chimici sulla salute oculare. La ricerca futura potrebbe essere utile per definire meglio i rischi e le misure preventive da adottare.

Characters In The Hallow:

Dals - uses it/its - The ghost of a halfling surrounded in smoke and haze. It used to run an apothocary in life and can use various healing spells in the form of tintures, salves and medicines. Also is the one who primarily looks after the garden in the hallow. It has a husband which it wishes to return to some day but cannot as it can't be seen by normal mortals, the longer it stays in the hallow the more visible it becomes however - It can usually be found in the hallow garden and has an picnic blanket near the fruit trees - (ref art to be added when complete)

Fen - uses they/it - A invisible spirit of a werewolf. Most of its backstory unrevealed and as more becomes known this post will be updated. It helps out with various tasks around the hallow. It is looking for its missing pelt which seems to have been found by a pirate captain who is a friend of Briggsy - They can usually be found napping in the sun or in the woods and has a spot for doing various projects near the edge of the hallow - (ref art to be added when complete)

Dame - has no opinion on pronouns is a dog (female) I often use she or sometimes it - A hell hound that attached herself to vanbrigrim and sees the hallow as her home. She cannot speak (unless someone can speak to animals) but understands infernal. She is currently learning how to understand commands in orcish and common - She can usually be found by either Briggsy, Yorgrim or Billy's side

(Will eventually be reblogging all posts answering asks my characters sent before the ask blog was created, but haven't found all of them. Just need to actually set aside the time to sort that out. I have a large chunk of the already saved but not reblogged yet. Will tag them with a specific tag whenever I get around to doing that lol)

Acabo de ver una historia de una chica....y me di cuenta de que jamás seré como ella....delgada, gótica, bonita, inteligente, simpática y delicada....ella tiene todo lo que yo siempre he soñado desde pequeñita....y si tengo cierta envidia por que ella se siente tan bien con ella misma y yo simplemente no puedo...por más que me ponga piercings, lentes, me tinture el cabello o intente usar ropa gótica...JAMÁS....seré así...por que soy una asquerosa VACA....

Garden Report & Frugal Living 24.04.25

We have sproutage! These are the seeds from the report on the 12th of this month. The little sproutlings in the lean two are the yellow mangle root/golden beets, the poppies and the beans (the beans in the garden I'm afraid were preyed upon by ratses due to the obvious digging). I do need to purchase some garden pea seeds to get started!!

Today is more of a foraging day due to the incoming days of rain forcast: fir tips and thyme (yesterday was lilac blossoms). I am staring at the wild sorrel as it has bolted ... do I take it for seed or do I take it for root propagation and transplant it in my garden. I know... People are going 'dear heart, that's a weed'. A weed is just a plant that is where you don't want it. I wanted to collect a batch of dandelion flowers to try again to make dandelion wine but the heads just won't bloom in quanity this year. I know people say just throw them in the freezer but the freezer is small and packed with salmon I got on a great sale ... sorry but I have priorities when it comes to salmon! But I could make dandelion oil and later convert to salve. Or make dandelion vinegar. Or just dry the leaves and petals for tea. It will probably be the later as it is easiest for me to drop on a tray, turn the dial on the dehydrator, and walk away but I so like making tintures and other herbal concoctions. By the time my brain engaged into foraging mode, it was already too late for the willow bark and whips I was eyeing. The borage at home garden is racing along. I had plans to dry some leaf and some blossom. Again, funny looks but I'm on a 'classical' mission (that's the goal at least). Pliny the Elder and Pedanius Dioscorides wrote that borage was used to "exhilarate the mind", "comfort the heart", "drive sorrow away", and thereby increase one's general happiness. I can get on board for that! Once again I will keep my eyes open for fireweed so I can make Ivan tea as this is the year to resupply.

Okay my foraging compatriots, tell me what you are foraging or interest be! I'm trying to regain some spark instead of letting go and tired of fighting so striking a middle of the pathway here.
