-a son of apollo who survived tartarus with nothing but cargo shorts and sheer will (pun intended)

-the main designer and builder for the argo II, also the first hephaestus kid to have fire powers since hundreds of years ago (did i mention killed gaea? no? yeah he did that too)

-a girl who somehow charmspeak-ed gaea into falling back asleep (also side note daughter of super famous actor because why not)

-pretty much everybody is a two-time war veteran

-THE GOD APOLLO who just sometimes comes down to visit in the form of a teenage boy

-did i mention dionysus, god of wine madness and theatre

-also chiron, trainer of pretty much every greek hero ever

And with Assassins, I've finally reached the end of Time War 2.

I would have liked to see some more of Romana and Livia's conspiring that would have been cool

Romana's passive aggression and sass in Time War 2 has been supreme I love it and her so much especially that one comment she makes near the end about Livia finally picking a side of the fence that was great lmao.

AND THIS EPISODE IN RELATION TO NARVIN AND HIS CHARACTER ARC!

I'll probably make a separate post about this because is have so so so many thoughts but like y'know how Narvin's character arc went from devotion and loyalty to Gallifrey -> devotion and loyalty to Romana this episode really explores that.

It's how you've got different characters who see him as being on either side of that character development and Narvin in the middle who doesn't fully know himself - when Romana asks him to help her kill Rassilon but no, there's a line he won't cross there's still loyalty to Gallifrey over her - but he chooses her over Gallifrey at the end, and! just ach! I've so much so many thoughts and ideas about the symbolism and just message by the choices both he and the characters around him expect him to make in this episode.

okay so post epic odyssey where odysseus and Penelope have surfaced from their room finally and he and diomedes are catching up I'm imagining the conversation going something like this

Odysseus: so then I gave up being merciful and became the monster.

Diomedes:....you tried being merciful?

Odysseus: Yes?

Diomedes: you did? You tried being a good merciful person? You?

Until they receive a mysterious letter that their long lost younger sister is being housed in an orphanage nearby. After an unsuccessful attempt to legally adopt her, they return later to break her out.

Now they’re all wanted criminals trying to outrun the law as well as their past.

And here are my thoughts on Collateral - I liked Collateral a lot, so far my rating of Time War 2 goes Collateral, Havoc and then Partisans at the bottom. But I am yet to listen to Assassin's (apart from certain scenes which I have listened to the clips because I was excited so I know how this boxset is gonna end plus the fact the later series occur - I'm not the best at avoiding spoilers!) so we'll see how that ranks in with the others!

Collateral is utilising flashbacks a lot, which I quite like, its fun, but feels slightly out of place since I don't think flashbacks have been a thing since ig Lies? and that was like pre-credit music I think? back in series 2

On Livia's we love change speech - you sure about that? like I know all the face change stuff but you guys are like the most change resistant culture-

Idk why but the background timelord mutterings and comments during speeches this series cracks me up a little (I think in tw1 as well)

Also hoping it doesn't get wiped from existance at the point of its creation because then this plot won't have happened as Knyla will have never been born - cripes, Temis and Yster will never have been born either - and two series (intervention earth and enemy lines) was enough of that, (not to say I didn't like them they were great its more that more of that will feel a bit overdone so soon after those series) I don't think it will though
