Hi, sorry to bother you, I’m just curious why you dislike the light fury? /genuine question please i’m so curious I saw quite a bit of hate for the light fury that I just don’t quite understand

I won’t go too in depth about why I dislike her, because I’d be here typing for hours, but,

I have several reasons for my dislike of the light fury, the main one being that she is a plot device.

Being a plot device on its own isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s the fact that she has no character at all other than ‘Grr I hate human, human bad I’m a female.’ This is the character I’m supposed to believe Toothless up and left Hiccup for and i can’t tell you anything about her other than she’s wild, hates humans and it’s kind of an ass.

The other main reason is her design. Bland, looks like a Pokémon and is unbearably feminine. Tiny feet that at some points are literally smaller than her pupils, smoothed out scales with little to no defined edges, smooth wing membranes (what the fuck??? Why are the parts of her that are meant to move the most so stiff???) no spikes because she’s a female!!! Can’t possibly have any sharp edges because woman!!!

Her entire character is being a girly dragon and her only purpose is to be Toothless’ girlfriend. It was a cheap ending to an amazing franchise and I will FOREVER be salty.

But I do like drawing light furies because I like making them look like they’d actually fit in universe

Eira's main creative inspirations were Chel from The Road to El Dorado, Tinkerbell and Halle Bailey's version of Ariel.

Eira doesn't have a 'real' last name, but if she had one it would be 'Gobbersdottir'

Snotlout and Eira did NOT get along at first. At all.

Eira doesn't like having her hair unbraided because it gets tangled easily.

!!Want to preface this post with a no hate to any light fury enjoyers :)!!

One thing I will give the design of the canon light fury is that it is admittedly visually appealing (to me at least). It’s smooth and has very flowy and natural movements and the colours look nice. But that’s the only thing that I kind of like about it. That it’s nice to look at without any context to the universe it exists in. Compared to every single other httyd dragon it just looks out of place. No other dragon (that I can think of) has smooth wing membranes? Literally the only reason I can think of as to making the wing/tails membranes have barely any flexibility is to make her look more feminine. That’s it. But hey. I guess it’s nice to draw so who the fuck cares about universe accurate creature design?

If I were to redesign the light fury myself, I’d probably draw a lot of inspo from polar bears, since the light fury look more adapt to colder climates. Quite a large body with short, stocky legs, more ear nubs than the night fury but have them be quite a bit shorter for good blood conservation in freezing temperatures. But

I fell in love with her concept art the actual moment I first saw it. The colours and all the different tail fins. Ugh. I wish this was canon so bad. Maybe if this was the light fury I would’ve watched The Hidden World more than once in my entire life. The concept light fury actually looks like a real animal and not a piece of rubber with wings. Dreamworks give me this dragon and my life is yours🙏

i absolutely adore their friendship!! it is my favorite part of tpot😭. when tpot 2 dropped and their first ever moment happened i lost my mind. tgirl and her alien best friend(whose also trans) literally best friends forever. i love the unconditional care they have for each other!! gaty is so kind to two and two would do anything for her. also gaty has grown on me a lot as a character since then.

if gaty were to ever get eliminated i think two would be so so sad but since its clear they show favoritism i think gaty will stay a bit longer.

For the last of the eight Faz-Tober prompts I selected for this batch, I went with the prompt 'fangame character'.

Back in July 2022, I released a FNAF fangame that I created to tell the events of the week leading up to the closing of location C. This fangame is called "The Haunted Watch", acronym being THW. THW is a vital part of the Renegade AU, and Krasnyy is the protagonist of this title.

This was the perfect excuse to draw Krasnyy again, so I drew him how he appears in The Haunted Watch (with a supply belt, a tattered Shadow Freddy plushie, absolutely deranged, and on the verge of a mental breakdown).
