bruce keeps a photo of him and thor in his wallet (thor is pulling a silly face and bruce is laughing and its his favourite photo of them) and thor spots it one day and bruce explains that on earth people often keep their loved ones in their wallet. thor then proceeds to find the nearest store, buys one midgardian wallet, then locates a photo of bruce, puts it in the wallet and very excitedly shows it to him. thor doesn't use the wallet for anything else but he has it on him at all times, just so he can see bruces face.

“I do not have breasts!” is the first thing Thor says as he storms into the lab, and Bruce frowns, very slowly, and turns to look at him. Thor is holding a phone that is not his in his hand: judging by the red phone case, emblazoned with Iron Man’s mask, it’s Tony’s.

“Okay,” Bruce says.

“What does bara mean?” Thor demands. 

“Bara? It’s like...” Really, Banner? Are you going to admit that you know what bara stuff is? Nope. Nope. “I don��t know. Why do you ask?” Thor thrusts out the phone. Distantly, a floor down, he can hear Tony loudly demanding where his phone is, and that somebody call it for him. “I’m so tired. I just wanna curl up in Thor’s big muscular arms and use his bara titties as firm pillows for my aching back and neck... Toddler sling, huh?”

Pretty relatable, Bruce thinks, and elects not to say. “Pretty relatable,” Bruce says aloud, and then furrows his brow. Didn’t he just--

“You wish to lie on my chest?” Thor asks, perplexed, and he peers back at the post on his phone.

“Sure,” Bruce says, a little awkwardly. “Looks comfy.”

“Very well,” Thor says. 

Bruce’s mouth is dry. “Huh?”

“I do not know what this means,” Thor says, shaking the phone as it begins to ring, coming up with the contact of HAWKASS, and a picture of Clint passed out on a couch in Soho. 

“Me neither,” Bruce says reflexively.

“But if your back aches, and my chest will soothe it, Banner, I must indulge your desires!” 

“My back isn’t the only thing that aches,” Bruce blurts out, and Thor stares at him, uncomprehending, for a long second. Then, a slow, confident grin comes onto his face, and Bruce can feel his heart pounding in his chest.

“No?” Thor asks, lowly. “What else aches?”

“Give me my phone!” comes the call from the doorway, and Thor laughs as he turns, moving to return the phone to Tony. Standing in the middle of the room, a little bit shell-shocked, Bruce breathes in. Breathes out. Staying calm. 

He’s gonna sleep on the best pillows ever tonight.

Its not that I dont absolutely love and appreciate the content people freely give me. Its that i wish Thor and Bruce together being more prominent in general. Ive loved their duo for so long and thought they were perfevt for eachother.

So I am eternally grateful for what I have. But I long for more that has yet to be fullfilled.

despite how cute the thorbruce oneshots are on ao3, i just want some thorbruce stories with 70+ chapters, which is a slowburn, has shit ton of fluff and smutt galore and a good, a hardcore, complex storyline but no we get 1 shots that are 500 words because there is like 6 people in this fandom and those 6 people cant write.
