It's so funny to me that it's so obvious when I get a new hyperfixation because everything everywhere for example tis blog suddenly turns to what ever hyperfixation I have. . .

NOW I WANNA TALK ABOUT HUSK AND MY HEADCANONS FOR HIM BECAUSE THAT SILLY GRUMPY OLD-MAN CAT IS TAKING OVER MY BRAIN (contains a bit of huskerdust and bad grammar because english is not my first language but I have no respect for it so /j)

So I fully headcanon that husk has the most un organised and dirty room for some reason, like he never even bothered decorating it.

He hates baths and oils and stuff like that because it's really hard to take off from his wings and fur.

He refused to wash his hands with water and he cleaned his hands like cats do before eating food or serving drinks so charlie forced him to at least use wet wipes (idk how to write tht but hope you understand it)

He loves old fashioned love songs, usually mumbles some lyrics he still remebers while working and the others like to hear his singing.

The fluffies fluff ever, he doesn't really use any products (only dry shampoo from time to time) AND STILL HIS FUR IS EXTREMLY FLUFFY.

He got extremly bad body dismorfia when he arrived at hell.

The others tease him alot whenever he does any cat sounds.

Instead of a glass of water on his nightstand he had a bottle of whiskey or any other alcohol.

If he's in the mood (and charlie asks nicely + a day off) he might do some magic tricks to entretain the other guests.

Whenever he speaks spanish he always calls evryone pendejo (as a mexican that is also my favorite curse word I gotta add that). Like him and vaggie are fighting and she desn't know he speaks apanish so she starts insuting him in spanish and he goes "CALLATE LA PINCHE BOCA PENDEJA TUERTA" (traduction: SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING ONE EYED WOMAN) and she shuts up because she didn't expect that. (Now they speak in spanish together sometimes)

One time Sr. Pentious gave him catnipp because angeldust dared him to and husk went WILD. Like everyone was laughing nd half th hotel was filled with cat scratchs while husk followed Sr.Pentious who was escaping with the catnip in hand from him kind of wild.

He wants hugs and he won't admitt it.

Used to be a bit to proud as an overlord which is also half the reason why he lost to alastor.

Fucker cries a lot and won't admitt it because he already stablished to everyone that "I don' give a shit about anything and fuck y'all" and now he just can't.

He falls asleep a lot during work because he is drunk.

He owns a phone but uses it like a grandma, he puts on the glasses to read and everything

He once had a very bad night and got EXTREMELY DRUNK and ended up doing a karaoke with charlie and Sr Pentious.

Alastor would ocationaly take him to the Overlords meetings as his "body guard" and he would get extrembly embarrased because everyone recognised him and he knew they all thought of him as a failure for being an Overord who lost his own soul to Alastor and was now forced to obey him.

Thanks to loser,baby I think Husk may be a pet names man (affectionatelly both romantic and just with friends)

Husk reminds me a bit of "No surprises" by radiohead (i don't really know how to explain it but yeah)

I think his relationship with angel (romantically speaking) would be really gentle like, cuddles, hugs, little kisses, cause he wants to show that romantic relationships don't always need to have sex included (angel appretiates that)

I feel like they told each other their felling for the other but bth came to the conclution that maybe they are not in the best mental state to get into a relationship at the moment so they asked charlie and vaggie to help a bit.

so i work at a thrift store right and for the most part the customers r all like rlly old women or drunk men, sometimes alt teenagers who hate u, sometimes rlly rich fucking women who hate u even more

theres this one guy who always comes in on saturdays when i work alone (i usually work with 1 coworker) the only things he buys r ties, formal shirts, and suit pants. ive heard rumors tht hes a lawyer and a huge misogynist and that he burns all of the shirts he buys at our store after having worn them Once. and recently he actually told me that himself. he also came in kinda drunk i think and asked me if i have a boyfriend to which i replied 'i dont know'

theres also this one lady whos rlly obsessed with buying things from expensive brands, especially bags and purses. she often argues abt the prices and has called our higher ups to complain multiple times and shes always yelling at everyone and picking fights with ppl which is a little funny

ive also learned that old ppl have a very soft spot for stuffed animals that r very realistic they love saying 'oh mi gosh it looks just like a real puppy!' they also like when u tell them tht a piece of clothing they picked is Unique and Something Different i think it makes them feel special but its kinda sweet

working here is also great bcuz its alwyas funny overhearing 2 old ladies trying to decipher my gender before they come up to me to ask sth

Ohh that sounds so interesting.. I love old ppl tbh. I volunteered at a non profit pop up shop thing for clothes last month and a pair of little old ladies came up and they'd grabbed these cute little crochet scarves. I'm working the counter (basically all we do is take note of what was taken and if anybody left clothes to be sold later) and they're smiling about the scarves so I tell them they have great taste, the scarves compliment their hair and such and they're like Aww. Pinch my cheek and are like "You're so cute you remind me of my grandson" and instead of freaking out about being gendered correctly I ask if they want a candy before they leave (we have a little candy basket for people to take a piece) and they're like Oh No I Couldn't. And I'm like ma'am you gotta treat yourself. This is the good stuff. And I hand em a little chocolate bar and they giggle and walk off

I went & saw Nosferatu (2024) a second time today & I want to see it a third time bc I spent a chunk of time during the movie typing out frantic notes in my phone (i was 1 of 2 ppl in the theater & was the only person in the back row so preemptively chill) abt things I want to digest & examine later & I think it'd b fun to go w all of my thoughts organized so I can appreciate the film more. For now, my immediate thoughts upon my 2nd viewing r below the cut

Robert Eggers is an incredible director, I appreciate his commitment to the stories he tells & his commitment to doing as much of it using practical effects as he can & especially tht with this film it was clearly a project of passion & admiration, I adore how he works w a consistent team in his cinematographer & in casting actors he worked w previously, not to mention how deeply he & his costuming team dedicate themselves to historical accuracy in the aesthetic while we r in the midst of fantastical stories

Ellen Hutter is a very physical role & I admire the work Lily Rose Depp put into it, she isn't afraid to b ugly & Eggers isn't afraid to show the ugly, Ellen convulses & contorts & rips her clothes & rolls her eyes into her head & drools & moans sexually & I admire the performance Lily Rose gives. She was born into the industry & her dad sucks & she has connections other actors just starting out don't but tht doesn't mean she lacks a work ethic or an acting instinct or tht this instinct doesn't translate to talent, all in all I was very impressed with her & hope to see her in similar roles

Nicholas Hoult was a wonderful Thomas Hutter, my guy is terrified 90% of the movie, just having the worst time ever, & his actor shows it so well. Thomas Hutter upon meeting Count Orlok, the titular nosferatu, displays a wonderful instinctual response not unlike a prey animal under the eye of an apex predator. Claps for him. He is so so scared but also so so determined to love Ellen & try to save her, even when it proves futile

Bill Skårsgård again proves to me why we love him in monster makeup. He is the most unrecognizable I've ever seen him & this is including his role as a bleeding skeleton ghost in Crimson Peak. I love the behind the scenes detail tht he worked w an opera coach to deepen his voice an octave, tht they approached each line like it was a lyric in an opera & when he felt his voice wasn't deep enough this absolute mad lad decided to also start learning Gregorian throat singing from an entirely separate vocal coach at the same time. Every line was him using his real actual physical vocal chords to make tht sound & I gotta give him props for tht as well as sitting for hours upon hours in the makeup chair

My favorite detail of this film is tht u can see during the night scenes, not just outlines of actors but u can see the emotion on their faces too. Lighting a night scene felt like a lost art form but I'm ecstatic to see it in this film.

All this to say, I loved it & was entertained & will absolutely go a third time. I need a DVD w behind the scenes special features, like the actors btwn takes or the costume construction or any bloopers or the camera movement or just our guy Bill getting all tht prosthetic makeup put on. I need to buy my own copy of the screenplay. I especially need Eggers to publish a novelization of this film bc I know, I just know, tht he a little goth freak who has a manuscript for a novel of this film sitting in his laptop ready to b edited then published. I also need the promotional popcorn bucket as well as my own movie poster.

This movie has reminded me why I am fascinated by & adore good horror

that Sukuna passage was ominous from beginning to end 🥹 something is coming and i know i’m not ready for it. just talking to him gave me major anxiety again. it was like a reminder that while the list is over, the consequences of that list are still revealing itself. i’m overanalyzing that whole passage to see what it could be foreshadowing to. i have a few ideas, but every one of them is making me go crazy. oh my fucking god. while the Sukuna scenes have been so great, considering his relation to Choso i’m slightly going insane from the possibility (guarantee?) that Choso will find out about this. UGHHHHHHH

A part of me wants to say angel fish because he’s our angel (awwww) and also because angel fishes have bright colors. But, I know this might be a bit ‘wtf?’ but, how about an anglerfish? (and no, this is not an "I can be your angle..." joke) I know they have a bad rap for being, well, not really pretty, but if it’s a human top-fishy bottom deal, look at this photo of an angler fish and focus on the bottom half.

It’s a distinct look, for sure, which worked well with how ‘special’ Desmond is to the eyes of the Isus and the way its fin glows is a nice-ish callback to how the Reader glows in AC Valhalla. You can even make the latern-like antenna be part of his bottom part as some kind of tail.

If the angler fish is not to your liking, how about the Mariana Hadal Snailfish? They’re known to be strong enough to withstand lots of ‘abuse’ and they have wing-like fins as well (they don’t glide/fly though as they’re in the deepest part of the Mariana Trench).

Honestly, for me, marine animals that glow are a good match for Desmond. (Glowing marine animals in the deeper parts would also work well for the Isus and making Desmond be one of them would show his ‘deep’ connection with them)

Altaïr:

Altaïr’s probably the easiest to think about for me. Since his name doesn’t just mean eagle but ‘soaring/flying eagle’, it’s gotta be the flying fish (even if they just glide).

If you want him to have fuller wings though and don’t mind basing it on extinct animals, the Thoracopteridae is usually described like this.

Okay, let’s get this out of the way. Ezio would be one of the prettiest ones out there, like a beautifully patterned goby or, if you really want to make him fabulous, a betta fish and, honestly, any of those fishes would work. I am a sucker for koi though, especially a white and red patterned koi that would remind us of his mentor robes in Brotherhood.

Alternate suggestion would be a Leafy Seadragon because, goddamn, just imagine Ezio swimming like he’s sashaying with that kind of bottom. It’s definitely eyecatching.

Ratonhnhaké:ton:

Ratonhnhaké:ton would make an awesome orca. It’s one of the best predators in the ocean and their closeness with their fellow orcas will be a good show of how much Ratonhnhaké:ton treasure his people. An apex predator that deserves respect is definitely a good combination to a part-marine Ratonhnhaké:ton.

My alternate suggestion would be a Lionfish though. Mainly because it’s beautiful and metal af. They move with grace but a certain deadliness to them that reminds me of Ratonhnhaké:ton.
