As soon as Ji Na got into their home and saw Irene she ran to her. "I-Irene. Please tell me you're okay? Please tell me you remember me?" If Irene didn't now who she was, then what she'd done was for nothing. "Please, I can't lose you, not after what I did." If she remembers, will she hate her for what she'd done?

Fabian grins at Lyssa, chuckling at what she says and gently sitting Irene in a chair, nodding as he goes to get everything she'd mentioned. "I do appreciate this more than you know."

Irene immediately hops back down and goes to Lyssa, reaching up and tugging lightly on her shirt. "I saved this one for you!" She holds up a sucker she'd managed to snag out of her trick-or-treating bag when papa had sent Mariana home with it.

i feel like for the rest of my life i will be walking around totally normal and then periodically, i will be absolutely brained with a metaphorical anvil falling off the side of a building that represents the absolute bafflement i have towards modern adaptations of sherlock holmes and their treatment of irene adler. bbc's most recent adaptation in particular.

i'm a feminist so i think women are capable of being in love and also of being stupid. they can do anything they put their minds to ofc ❤️. but this is too far even for me.

it's just that i can't understand why you would choose to write a narrative that is more mysoginistic than the source material when the source material was written in 1891.

was it intentional? did they somehow not pick up on the implications? was it random?

Fabian sighs. It hadn't been easy telling Irene where they were going or why. He'd ended up just settling on, "There's someone I need to introduce you to. And I know you're going to have a lot of questions, and it's just best if we all get to talk together."

Which. Is hard for a five year old, but it was the best he could do. Walking into the small coffee shop, he looks around for Calypso, holding Irene's hand. She looks up at him, confused, clinging to his arm a little bit more.

It's not long past sundown when Bella makes it to the venue, easily spotting Irene amongst the crowd milling around waiting for the exhibit to open.

"I'm excited for this." Bella says, by way of announcing her arrival. "Thankyou again for inviting me."

Irene gave a small genuine smile, although she knew why he hated the beard and grown out hair it was needed to be undercover. She removed the beige long coat from her body, placing it next to her to sit where Sherlock had originally sat. "Oh I don't know, I think it suits you" she responded teasing lightly, American accent thick as ever. Blonde curls resting neatly upon her shoulders.

"I am used to moving country to country." Even the jewelry that she wore wasn't hers, stolen from various places. "So being greeted with death would look different on both of us" the cafe was loud, which was good for drowning out their conversation, no one would be listening in, at least nobody of great importance. "Shall we get a drink before diving into business?" Irene asked, blue hues looking at the detective, not removing her eyes from him, habit she supposed. Truth be told Irene was still on the run from Moriarty's network, still intertwined in that web.. partially the reason why she had agreed to help Sherlock on this, with the main boss gone, naturally it would fall apart.

What in the actual... That's it? No mention of how the rest of the group faired? All that team building and it's just you and your LI of choice, completely ignoring the platonic bonds that formed in that ship???! No rewards from Danu? NOTHING???

Even now, her fourth trip since Frenchie France, Sister Irene is not thrilled about the title of exorcist. Aside from the fact that she isn't even sure if this is the kind of title allowed for a nun, there's so much more to her work than that.

Perhaps it's ignorant of her, but the word exorcism conjures up images of a victim tied down- the demon inside rendered useless but to threaten and thrash- in a circle of men chanting ancient text and spraying holy water everywhere. It seems like a much more controlled and regulated process compared to what she's doing.

She's still never quite sure what to expect whenever she arrives to a new location, but as she steps into the infamous abandoned Ontario house Irene just feels... sad. Most of the stories connected to the house are old wives tales that have branched off into countless variations over the years, but all of them start with a tragic story of a young girl.

Sister Irene wanders off upstairs while the rest of her small party remains in the foyer, and the room she finds herself in seems to be that of a young girls. Does she have any way of knowing if it's one who might be extremely relevant to what's brought her here in the first place? Not at all.

But there's a stack of records in the room she gently thumbs through, finding that whoever they had once belonged to has a very similar music taste to her own. "Oh, nice," she breathes out to herself when she recognizes a Buddy Holly record she had once owned briefly, only getting to listen to it once or twice before it was somehow ruined in a way she can't quite remember.

Ji Na was excited for her first date with Irene as her official girlfriend. She had been so happy since moving in with her and becoming girlfriends. She wasn't sure if she would ever be dating a woman, but she was happier than ever. She held Irene's hand in hers as they walked to the restaurant. "Tonight is going to be amazing."

Irene took in all the sight and sounds of laughter mixed with happiness, she hadn’t felt calm for most of her life, sure at one point she would’ve loved to have attended a festival like this but her father had taken all the joy from her life the moment he’d locked her up. The visions only got worse as she grew older depicting a very different life she could’ve lived but all these people reminded mystery to her. She startled slightly at the sounds of a crowd celebrating a win as she accidentally bumped into a stranger. “I’m so sorry…I didn’t mean, I'm a little jumpy at loud sounds…probably shouldn’t have thought to come to a festival but curiosity won out in the end”

Yes, DK and NK genuinely had no clue that Irene was a teen when she was chosen for Destiny. They feel bad about it every day, especially after the whole adventure is over, and they both agree that next time, they'll try harder to figure out problems like these on their own.

Meanwhile Irene is just happy that she has a family that loves her, bless her soul
