Fun fact! In a previous edition of Astérix en Hispanie (Astérix in Spain) and Le Domaine des dieux (Mansion of the Gods), and also maybe La Zizanie (The Roman Agent), Caesar had blonde hair! I don't know if it was intentional, since Caesar had white hair in the albums prior to these ones; they coloured his hair white again in these albums in the recent edition.

oh my GOD it's 2025 at last. holy shit, i think i'd be lying if i didn't say that i'm a little fearful for what's to come in the nearing future, what with the state of the world currently & all the wild turns it seems to be taking, & i'm sure you feel the same.

but take as much comfort as you can in knowing you're NOT alone. we're all in this together, we know how it is, we'll get through. remember to be kind to one another, & tell those you care about that you love them, even if you think they know it or otherwise, just be sure to remind them & let them know. do what you can & take it all one day at a time, it's all anyone could ask for.

oh right this is an art post as well as the annual toast, UM PROPS TO ME for making my first, fully-formatted comic - which you'll be able to find below, & taking steps into character design diversity & recognizing color patterns & making them ACTUALLY look GOOD? MAYBE? ( with MUCH help from my beloved inspiration & sibling @velsebwifey of whom i love with all of my heart, ) & ANIMATION AS WELL! the narrator parade collab nearly fucking put me into an arrest BUT I DID IT! & learned quite a lot! last year's resolution was to " try new things, " & i think i did INDEED live up to it, especially when it came to my art! so once MORE! may i be so lucky as to learn a couple new things in the realm of creativity this year as well!

Shorter hair for Gale, different hair and a better looking eye for Wyll, and Astarion got earrings. Alfonso 'The Face-Breaker' Tombstone is surrounding himself with handsome men while the ladies are banished to camp jail.

Might I remind everyone that Maul is about 7 here, so he's probably around half the height of his opponent, who towers over nearly all adult humans.

Maybe one of the most badass things Maul has ever done. No posturing, just creepy confidence.

A small thing to note -- Maul's slow walk to the enemy and use of the term "move" implies that invokes the imagery of a chess match. He operates as and names himself as one of the pieces on the board. But he is a named pawn. Sidious told him to walk there just a few seconds ago. It will be a while before he grows up into a Knight.

WHAT a year, am I right?

2023 opened the door to a lot more experiences, events, fandoms, people, & all KINDS of hectic craziness for me, but it was REALLY fun, & while I don't think I really made HEFTY leaps & bounds in terms of doing something different with my art, every day - with every small change & improvement, I come to love my art all the more.

& that, I will contribute some to YOU! yes, YOU - reading this right now! to casual viewers, to those who have been with me since the premiere of this blog, to those who've come around in 2023 for one thing or another; to those of you of whom I've never spoken with, to those who have made me something or complemented my work, to those who've become my friends, my gratitude is IMMEASURABLE.

this last year, while its had its bumpier moments - I will confess, it's been truly incredible, & I thank you, every single one of you, who's had even the slightest hand to make it so. you are all TOO KIND, & I appreciate you sticking by & enjoying what I do.

oh i was dreading this question. it's always so hard to actually choose, i love them all. i guess if i have to actually choose, i'd say my top three are tim, jason and steph. i'm very bias, so if i had to actually name a full-on favorite, it's probably tim. i love him with my whole soul, and he wins for me every time i try to think about my favorite members. i'm emotionally attached to his character, he resonates with me. (we're literally the same person, trust me)

but obviously, no one beats alfred. <3
