"So I wake up, I get out of bed Stay up, Stay out of my head..." - Fitz & The Tantrums (I Just Wanna Shine).
Getting up to 10 more inches of snow today with up to 3 more possible tomorrow. So I'm leaning on Fitz et al to stay out of my head and just do what I can. Like clearing out at least a portion of the driveway by tomorrow night so hubby can park when he comes home.

Fairy Whispers ༄
Tumblr media
a/n ; first ever fic ! apologies in advance if it isnt too good 😭 thank you for requesting anon <3 this fic is meant to be platonic, but read it either way you’d like + tomorrow ill probs post some shuichi content, n e ways i hope you enjoy !!
Tumblr media
Fairy Tail.
The world where magic and adventure intertwine at every corner; where many are given the gift of bearing a sort of power, yet not everyone uses it to help and save others.
There’s corruption. Murder. Bloodshed caused by those consumed by the desire of gaining more power.
But of course, there are always ones with a good heart.
It was a sunny day today; and a day where everyone at the Fairy Tail guild could relax. Everyone was mostly off doing their own thing. Some drinking, reading quietly, chatting or hanging out with others.
It was supposed to be a chill day today, but definitely wasn’t for Lucy.
“Stop! Please, don’t hurt them!”
Lucy was sent on a mission — having to catch some robbers on a small village. It was pretty simple, so she took her time walking around, enjoying her alone time, or was, until she heard faint cries of distress. Following the sound, she came upon a scene that caught her off guard; it was a group of fairy poachers, trapping innocent fairies in nets, crushing or squeezing them in dirty bags. Lucy felt anger, and knew she had to act fast. Summoning her celestial spirits, she began to attack them, using her quick wit and power.
After sending them all flying off, Lucy quickly freed all the fairies, who hid or flew off as well, except for one. Stuck between a net, Lucy picked up the fairy out of the strings. The fairy, with sparkly wings and tear-filled eyes, looked up at Lucy, admiration, yet a hint of sadness mixing in her expression. “Thank you so much for saving me and my friends..” Slightly trembling, she continued. “I thought I was going to be their next experiment..”
Lucy smiled a little, lifting her finger to pat the fairy’s head. “It’s okay now, I’m here to protect you.” She said, hoping to provide her some comfort. However, as they both turned around, Lucy realized the amount of damage that was done. The poachers had destroyed the fairy’s home in the chaos, leaving her with no place to return to. “Where will I go to now?” the fairy whispered in worry.
Though dwelling in sadness, the fairy was admired by Lucy’s quickness to get involved and save her. “Thank you for saving me,” she said, voice slightly shaky. In a moment of thankfulness, she leaned in and gave Lucy a gentle kiss on the nose.
To their surprise, Lucy’s nose began to grow—two feet long, just like Pinocchio — Lucy was stunned — poked her nose, felt embarrassed and shocked. She did not expect that to happen by one small kiss. “Well, at least no one will see me like this! I hope...” she tried to joke, chuckling awkwardly.
The fairy gasped at the sight of Lucy, wondering how the kiss caused that strange effect. “Oh no..I’m so sorry, I didn’t know that would happen, but I’m sure it will wear off in a day.. I’m so sorry..” She cried out, frantically flying around while apologizing profusely.
Lucy only chuckled, shaking her head slightly. “It’s fine! It isn’t your fault, I know you have good intentions. But I guess I can smell trouble from a mile away now!” she exclaimed, trying to lighten the mood. The fairy, though still blaming herself, ended up smiling a little at Lucy’s attempt to make her feel better about the situation.
As they walked together, the fairy got an idea. “What if your nose becomes my new home in the meantime?” Lucy looked at her with an expression that said ‘That is the most wild idea I’ve ever heard.’ At the same time, she did understand how the little creature must be feeling, – losing the only place you call home is devastating.
“Does that mean you’ll decorate my nose and cut some parts to resemble it as a house?” Lucy teased. The fairy let out a short giggle while nodding, going along with Lucy’s jokes. “Now that you said it, maybe I should.” The celestial wizard feigned a look of horror before the two burst into laughter. Lucy promised to help her find a new home, and to find her whenever she needed help in the future.
The rest of the day was spent with them both picking up flowers, grass and small sticks. Using her magic, the fairy transformed the objects into a cloud seat, a small bed, table and chairs, filled with laughter along the way. Despite Lucy’s strange nose, she wasn’t too worried about it – at least it wasn’t permanent. Although it did feel really weird, she never would’ve expected to feel her nose heavy. Is this how Pinocchio felt? The blonde wondered. “I’ll definitely never forget this day.” she chuckled.
As the sun began to set, Lucy decided to lay down on the grass, humming contently as the cool breeze brushed against her skin. This experience was definitely strange but ending up being a lot of fun in the end.
It was quiet for a while, before she spoke up. “Like I said, whenever you need help, come find me at fairy tail. I’m Lucy Heartfilia, and I promise to always protect you.” Turning her head slightly, Lucy raised her hand, holding her pinky finger out. The fairy smiled, giving a nod. “I’m Y/N, and I promise you will always have the protection of the fairies from now on.”
They linked pinkies, under the starry night sky.

Part 1 Cassian x f!reader
AN: Cassian has been on my mind a lot lately, so here is part 1 of a series of short stories about him being him ❤️
Summary: You are Helion's best courtier and researcher, but you have been... off lately. He hopes sending you to the Night Court will help you get back to your usual sunny self.
Warnings: depression, perfectionism, underlying unresolved issues
Word count: 1405
To be a member of Helion's Court was to exude excellence in every way. Perfection was the standard by which every member was held and the bar with which you measured yourself against your rivals. There were no mistakes, no second chances. If you could not stand in the light of Day gloriously unmarred and unbroken, then you had no place with his halls.
However, it wasn't Helion who held his people to such a standard but, rather, the drive of competition that you instilled in each other. The Court of Day had always been composed of fiercely ambitious individuals. He grew up marveling at the impressive work his fathers advisors had done when driven to prove themselves better than their colleagues. The previous High Lord fostered the cutthroat environment. He knew just the right thing to say to stoke the fires among his people and ensure that perfection was always achieved. Always in the spirit of healthy competition, of course. He didn't allow for things to devolve into petty squabbles or grudges that would only distract from the work. You never hated your companions. Were never frustrated by their achievements and successes. Only disappointed in your own abilities.
Perhaps that was why Helion sent you to work in the Night Court, in Rhysand’s library, under the house of wind. He saw how every accomplishment and accolade given to the other of the Court left you feeling hollow and despondent. You were his best researcher, his most knowledgeable Courtier, and yet he saw that light in you fading. Dulling to a mere ember when you once burned like the sun. He hoped that some time away from the high-pressure environment of his Court would reconstitute your usually sunny disposition and lift your spirits.
At first, it had the opposite effect. You never felt lower than when you walked the lowest levels of the library, tears falling quietly down your cheeks as you wandered through the stacks. He sent you away. He made you leave his court - leave the Grand Library - your home, and come here. Where you were left in suffocating silence as the Priestesses went about their own business. Researching whatever flight of fancy captured their attention in the moment and having no real structure about it that you could discern.
Not that you had the capacity to notice much of anything those first few days. You were a shell of a person, mindlessly snaking your way through the shelves as you idly assessed the collection of tombs you were to spend the next six months of your existence working with. It was perhaps one of the reasons you did not notice the dark wings and Illyrian presence following you into the shadows.
It wasn't even that Cassian was trying to hide that he was there. You simply did not pay attention enough to see him as he approached the sitting area at which you had gathered your materials. He didn't even know why he was there, really. Clotho had called him down to check on you after one of the Priestesses had informed her that you had not left the lowest levels in more than a fortnight. But why she didn't just wait for one of the others to get back from their trips baffled him. Mor and Az were on the continent doing what they did best. While Feyre and Rhys were currently on a tour through Prythian to strengthen ties with the other Courts. Even Amren was unavailable since Varian had come into town unexpectedly to see the tiny ancient one.
So here he was feeling five kinds of wrong as he approached you, a clearly unaware female alone in the dark. Though, as he made his way through the stacks to where you were reading, he supposed you weren't exactly sulking in the shadows as he half expected you to be when he had been summoned. Instead, as he descended into the lowest level he knew most avoided, he saw a light glowing dully through the rows of books. Something in his gut tugged him along, pulled him forward as if the mother herself were guiding him to the little sitting area and the female waiting there.
When he finally turned the corner, and there was nothing more hiding you from view, he felt his breath catch in his throat. You were simply beautiful, the most beautiful female he’d ever laid eyes on, and that wasn't even taking into account how your skin glowed like the sun itself prowled within your veins. An earth bound star, trapped in the dark.
You paid him no mind. If you were even aware of his presence, he didn't know. To focused on the tome before you to notice the male now gawking at you from the stacks. He shifted his weight, unsure of what to do as you continued ignoring him and the minutes dragged on. Finally, he cleared his throat, and you jumped back from the table. Your wooden chair chattering to the ground as you put distance between yourself and the Illyrian who seemed to appear out of nowhere.
“Hey, don't freak out,” he held up his hands. Showing you his empty palms as he gave you an awkward smile. “I'm not going to hurt you.”
“And yet your very presence does just that,” you sneered, your heart beating fast in your chest and your eyes darting to the darkened shelves that surrounded you. Too many places - there were too many places for others to hide-
“I'm just here to check on you,” he spoke evenly, his voice softer than any male you'd ever heard before. It made you still, “Clotho was concerned that you hadn't yet left the library.”
Your eyes narrowed on him, “And she couldn't be bothered to look for herself?”
He gave a half shrug, the movement slow and deliberate. You saw every muscle move. “She tried, and so did the other Priestesses. You didn't acknowledge them, and they don't like to be this deep for that long.”
You blinked once, your body shifting out of the half crouched stance you'd been in. “...They did?”
Cassian let out a soft breath, “Yes.”
“Oh,” a frown, more thoughtful than angry, pulled at your lips. “But why send you?”
He shrugged again, the movement more relaxed and natural though still slow. “I've been asking myself that question the whole way down.”
You didn't laugh, “Well, you can report to Clotho that I am just fine and in no need of coddling.”
He frowned at that, “Do you know how long it's been?”
You waved an idle hand, “A few days is nothing. Back home, I sometimes spent a week or more in the library. So they need not wo-”
“Seventeen days,” he cut you off, and you went still again. “Seventeen days without fresh air or sunlight-” you raised an eyebrow at him, a hand gesturing down to your glowing skin, and he relented, “You know what I mean.”
A heavy sigh came out of you, “I do. I hadn't… realized…” your voice trailed off as you dragged a hand down the text on the table in front of you.
He strained his neck forward, attempting to peer at the scrawled script without risking a step closer, “What are you researching anyway? Rhys didn't say. Just that you were coming for a few months and to clean out a spare room for you up at the house. One that you haven't deigned to use yet, by the way. Azriel has been absolutely devastated to know his hard work was for nothing.”
You slammed the book closed, “It's nothing. Don't worry about it.” The glare you threw his way was enough to deter any curiosity he'd been slowly building, and he held his hand up in surrender once again. “Tell Clotho not to worry. I'll manage my time better going forward. You can leave.” It was a dismissal, but he felt the truth in your words and turned around to return back to the High Priestess far above you. As he did, a flash caught his eye, and he stilled just inside the stacks. There, snaking through the books in a way he often saw Azriel's shadows do was a glowing fragment of sunshine. He watched it slide across the floor and circle your ankle before blending seamlessly into the light you emitted naturally.
A piece of daylight, returning to the sun.

Chapter 1:
Y/N P.O.V
As soon as I arrive at the Day Court, I walk at a determined pace towards the armory. The interior of the Day Court palace is a masterpiece of light, gold, and elegance, designed to embody the eternal brilliance of the sun. Vast halls are bathed in a warm, golden glow that radiates from the walls, creating an ethereal and divine atmosphere. Polished marble floors shimmer in tones of pale gold and cream, veined with silver that catches the sunlight streaming through towering arched windows. High, vaulted ceilings are adorned with frescoes of sunny skies, soaring birds, and glowing celestial bodies, framed by intricate gold and white plasterwork.
Magical golden orbs provide illumination when sunlight fades, ensuring no corner is ever cast in shadow. The Grand Hall boasts a breathtaking sunburst chandelier of enchanted glass and gold as I pass through it. Every element of the palace—from the glowing plants to the subtle floral fragrances—exudes tranquility, warmth, and timeless beauty, embodying the ideals of clarity and radiance that define the Day Court.
Everything I own, from my armors and weapons to my clothes, reflects the same description of this place. I need to find something suitable for the incoming mission. Something that will fit  for a spy. I have a feeling it won’t be easy to find what I need, but we do have spies in the Day Court, don’t we? As I reach the door, a messenger from Helion catches me before I enter. Mistiel, a childhood friend of mine. As my eyes set on his face, I remember our first encounter.
He had always been a whirlwind of sunshine and laughter, his golden locks catching the light with every playful tilt of his head. From the moment we met, he seemed to embody the very essence of joy, his presence like a warm breeze on a crisp day. His eyes, a sparkling shade of amber, held a mischief that was both endearing and infectious. There was a charm to him, not just in his radiant smile but in the way he seemed to find humor and light in the smallest things.
Growing up with him was like being tethered to a storm of energy—always moving, always laughing, always dreaming. He had an uncanny ability to lift my spirits, whether it was with a clever quip or a spontaneous adventure. His laugh was the kind that made others join in without knowing why, a bubbling, unrestrained sound that could pierce through even the darkest moods.
Despite his effervescent nature, there was a depth to him that he rarely let others see. In quiet moments, when it was just the two of us under the starlit sky, he would share his hopes, fears, and dreams with an openness that felt like a gift. He had a heart too big for his own good, always putting others first, always searching for ways to make the world brighter for those around him.
He was a contradiction—bubbly and carefree on the surface, yet fiercely loyal and protective underneath. I could never decide if his golden hair was more fitting as a reflection of his sunny disposition or the warmth of his soul.
“Y/N, you are back. I could sense your arrival. How was the meeting with that spymaster?”
His voice brings me back to the present. The blond male is smiling faintly, but I can tell he is annoyed. His slender body is tense and his hands are in fists at his side.
“Good. We are gonna investigate my lead tonight.”
I tell him nonchalantly. He sighs and passes a hand in his short hair.
“It’s a bad idea. I know we are “allies” with the Night Court, but we can’t trust them fully. You shouldn’t put yourself in danger. Have you told our High Lord of that mission of yours?”
He reprimands me now. I furrow my brows and cross my arms on my chest. What happened to that warm boy I thought about a moment ago. It’s me who is annoyed now.
“You can’t tell me what I can or cannot do. I don’t want to waste Helion’s time if the mission leads to nothing.”
Since I outrank him, Mistiel backs down.
“Fine, but be careful.”
He turns gracefully on his heels and leaves me there. What is going on with these males about being careful ? I know how to take care of myself. I shake my head and enter the armory. I look around carefully.
The Day Court armory is a radiant haven of light and precision, where functionality meets artistry. Sunlight streams through narrow windows, amplified by enchanted mirrors, illuminating rows of golden plate armor adorned with delicate sunburst and floral engravings.
The air carries a faint metallic tang, mingled with the scent of polished wood and leather. Weapons are masterpieces—swords with sun stone-inlaid hilts, golden-tipped arrows, and bows strung with enchanted silk. Shields gleam with radiant sunbursts, while enchanted items like speed-enhancing bracers and light-shielding cloaks add a magical edge. The armory embodies the court’s ideals of brilliance and grace, preparing warriors to shine like the sun in battle.
But, shining in battle is clearly not what I have in mind for an undercover mission. I sigh and start to shuffle objects around. A mess later, I finally find a black leather armor that is sleek and form-fitting, designed for agility and stealth. Its surface is smooth yet durable, reinforced with subtle etchings of shadowy patterns that seem to shift in the light.
I grab two twin black daggers that are equally menacing, their blades sharp and gleaming with a faint, dark sheen. The hilts are wrapped in textured leather for a secure grip, with understated designs that hint at deadly precision. Together, the armor and daggers exude an aura of lethal elegance, perfect for a shadowy warrior. Exactly what I need. Relieved that I have found what I need, I leave the room fully armored. I have the impression it will be a rough night.
***
As agreed and on time, I winnow to the Night Court border, the rendezvous point. I am fully prepared for what is coming and can’t wait to confirm my suspicion. I hope we will be able to find the information we are looking for to locate the damn Cauldron. I look around to see if Azriel is already here. As if on cue, the shadow clung to him like a second skin as he materialized from the darkness. I can see his eyes rake over my attire, noting the daggers at my waist. His slick voice pierces the silence of the night.
“Good, you’re prepared.”
He murmured, voice low. He moves closer to me.
“We will fly there. We will be able to assess the area from the air.”
He unfurls his wings, the membrane dark against the night sky. Without any warning, he steps closer, strong arms encircling my waist.
“Hold on tight and don’t let go.”
He whispers into my ears sending shivers down my spine. He lifts me against his chest. My pulse quickens at the contact of his body against mine, but I don’t have much time to focus on the feeling since we launch into the sky. I grip his shirt, to pull myself closer. I have never flown with him before. The wind whipped around us as Azriel’s powerful wings cut through the sky. He held me close, his scarred hands firm but gentle. After a few moments, his voice resonated deep in my chest, his warm breath on my ear.
“We are approaching the area. I’ll put you down and go back to scout a bit. Hang it tight, we are landing.”
His muscles tensed as he began our descent, shadows swirling around us to conceal our approach. We land into a forest. As soon as our feet touch the ground, he releases me. I instantly feel the cold breeze of the night hit my back.
“I’m gonna go scout, hide. I’ll be right back.”
He launches once more into the air. I watch him disappear concealed by his shadow. I turn around to assess my surroundings. The towering trees from this forest form a dense canopy, blocking all but the faintest glimmers of moonlight. The air is cool and heavy with the earthy scent of moss and damp leaves. Soft rustlings and distant calls of nocturnal creatures echo, their sounds amplified by the eerie silence. The ground is uneven, covered in a mix of gnarled roots and fallen foliage, while patches of mist swirl low among the trunks, adding an otherworldly feel.
I place an hand on one of my daggers to reassure myself. I move a bit forwards, knowing the camp should be close by. Suddenly, a twig snaps nearby. In one fluid motion, Azriel is already back and pulls me behind a tree, pressing me against the bark. His body is shielding mine, wings half-unfurled.
“Guards.”
He breathed, lips barely moving.
“Two of them, armed.”
My heart is racing one mile an hour. I try to keep my breathing low. I can feel some kind of tug in my chest at the proximity of our bodies. I can feel the weight of his chest against mine and his scent… I close my eyes to try and regain my composure.
“When I give the signal, we move. Silent as death, understood ? Follow me close.“
His hazel eyes are locked onto mine, intense and unyielding. I want to stay hidden against him, but I need to focus on the mission. I peer into his eyes.
“Lead the way, Spymaster.”
He nods, giving me the signal. He moves silently, shadows clinging to him like a second skin. His scarred hand reaches the lower of my back and guides me forwards. We move in the dark. I follow him as we approach a dim lighted camp. Two guards are monitoring the entrance.
“I was able to see from the airborne view at least thirty soldiers in there. At the center of the camp, there is a war tent. Probably where we can find the information we need.”
His voice is above a whisper, he is still close, too close. With the shadows at his command, we pass through the entrance without much problems. We move fast, but quietly towards the tent he mentioned. Strangely, the entrance of the tent is not guarded. I look towards Azriel.
“This is weird, why isn’t it guarded?”
He hums as an answer and his kneen eyes scanning a bit more carefully the area. He pushed a bit more in my lower back.
“Let’s go. If something happens, I'll get us out.”
As we reached the entrance, he lifted his hand to stop me from moving further.
“Lay low, I will go check if it’s safe.”
I crouch and hide myself in the shadow of the tent. Azriel moves inside with grace. I wait for a couple of minutes, before his voice calls me from inside.
“It’s safe. Come in.”
I enter in a swift motion, my eyes adjusting to the soft light in the tent. I watch around. Two guards are unconscious on the ground. Azriel is already searching through bookshelves that are placed against the wall.
“Let’s hurry. I’ll search here, go look towards that table.”
He points towards a huge table at the center of the place. I walk closer without any noises and start looking at the paper sprayed on it. There are some texts irrelevants, but by moving the documents around, I find a map marked with red dots written across Prythian.
“Azriel! Come and look at this.”
In an instant, he stands next to me, his eyes intensely watching the map.
“What are those?”
I can see he is thinking fast, trying to figure out what those red dots mean. Suddenly, I feel a dark energy pulsing from behind. As I get my daggers out, my body feels rigid. I drop my daggers on the ground. Azriel is now facing the direction of my frozen stare. Then, a voice, rich and dark, can be heard.
“Well, well, well… What do we have here ? An Illyrian and a kitten in my tent. Interesting…”
My eyes widen, we are in trouble.

Day 5 Aleheather Week 2024
Day five, November 15th- Kiss/anniversary
For the 11th anniversary of Aleheather's first kiss in the World Tour finale (in the U. S at least), create something that has to do with them kissing OR celebrating their anniversary.
“You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.”
Heather droned as she removed her sunglasses and stared into the gorgeous, sunny paradise known as Hawaii. The pristine beaches greeted her as she stepped off the airport, and ladies welcomed them with smiles and flower necklaces. “What the hell, Alejandro?” She never imagined in all her wildest dreams Alejandro would plan their one year anniversary to take place here of all places.
“You don’t like it?” Alejandro asked, eyes half-lidded.
“It’s not that. I don’t… dislike it, per se.” Heather replied wearily. “I thought, given what happened between us here and what happened to you afterwards you’d want nothing to do with the place.”
“That’s precisely why I did it, mi amor.” Alejandro held her hands. “This is where our first kiss took place!”
“...” Heather narrowed her eyes. “Our relationship became official in the Yukon - are you gonna plan an anniversary to take place there as well?”
“Don’t tempt me; or else one day I might!” Alejandro teased. “Point being, while this place holds bad memories for both of us, it also holds great significance in our relationship. This is where it all went down! Our first kiss. When we professed our love for each other on national television on top of a volcano. And the finale of a lifetime!”
“I don’t think it was as dramatic as you’re making it out to be.” Heather murmured.
“Then I suppose we remember things quite differently.” Alejandro said breezily. “Think about it, I planned for our anniversary to take place here so we can replace the bad memories we have with good ones! What’s better than that?”
“Rome. Paris. Vienna. Athens. Florencia. Barcelona… just to name a few, and those were all from the top of my head.” Heather trailed off.
Alejandro gave her a hard stare. “We’ll get to those eventually down the line. For now… Let’s enjoy our time here, shall we? No better time than the present.”
Heather pursed her lips thoughtfully. “Well… Hawaii is pretty.” She conceded with a shy hint of a smile. “Alright. Let’s do a do-over!”
“That’s the spirit!” Alejandro nudged her heartily. “Let’s go check in at the hotel. I’ve got a big day planned for us!”
“You better.”
And what a perfect day it was. Alejandro booked them a stay at a four star hotel with a front facing view of the coast. Next, they went sightseeing around town and did some window shopping for the following day. And later on in the evening Alejandro had made reservations for them to go and have dinner at an exclusive restaurant with a one-of-a-kind tasting menu experience, lit with candles and starlight, within view of the very same volcano they once climbed atop of so long ago.
“Happy anniversary, mi amor.” Alejandro lifted his wine glass. “A toast… to our wonderful union.”
“To us!” Heather clinked her glass together with his.

Dogs and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
Tumblr media
Can dogs get seasonal affective disorder (SAD)?
It’s unclear as to whether or not dogs suffer with SAD. This condition is hard to diagnose in humans and proves even more difficult when looking at our dogs.
Many owners have reported that their dogs sleep more and can sometimes lose their appetite during the winter, however, this is more likely to be linked with our change in routine over the cold, winter months rather than that of SAD.
What could be causing my dog to act differently during the winter?
People are affected by the lack of sunlight during the winter months and, with dogs also being mammals, it is possible, though not scientifically proven, that dogs may also adjust their habits and behaviors during this season. We often feel the need to hunker down and rest to keep warm and conserve energy and, potentially, our dogs could be similarly affected. Do bear in mind, though, that dogs are intuitive animals and, if you show signs of low mood, this may have an impact on how they feel, too.
Other factors that could be causing your dog to act differently during the winter include:
Spending less time outside – it's likely that you're not out and about walking with your dog as much in winter, which may affect you dog's mood as well as yours. While some dogs shy away from rain and cold more than others, getting out provides mental stimulation for your dog and can lift the spirits of both you and your pooch.
A change of routine – for many families, winter is a time when normal routines are disrupted due to the festive period. Often, dogs become used to having lots of people around over Christmas and plenty of fuss, so when January comes around and they’re left alone again, it can be a strange adjustment and could lead them to display signs of separation anxiety.
A need for more sleep – some dogs could just see the new year as a chance to rest up and recoup after all the excitement of the festivities, sleeping more in the winter as a result.
Tumblr media
How to make your dog’s winter better
During the winter months, it’s unclear whether the weather directly affects your dog’s mood. However, you can take steps to make your furry friend’s winter more comfortable.
Get outside
Exercise is a proven antidote to low mood and depression in humans, and the same can apply to your dog – so, getting out on walks together has the potential to give you both a boost. Make sure you take as much advantage as possible of those sunny winter days, but don’t let grey periods put you off. Wrap up warm and, if your dog suffers from the cold, get a dog coat to keep them nice and toasty. Just be careful on slippery surfaces and in low light, and never leave your dog outside unattended in bitter conditions, as they could develop frostbite or hypothermia.
Games and enrichment
When extreme weather conditions stop your walking routine altogether, there are plenty of indoor games and enrichment activities that you can do with your dog to prevent boredom. Playing a game of tug of war, fetch and hide and seek, or using food puzzles, can all help to keep your dog mentally stimulated. You can also use your time indoors to teach them a new trick or work on existing training.`
Provide them with warmth
Just like us, dogs love a cozy, warm corner to snuggle up in. Make sure their bed is in a warm spot away from any drafts, with plenty of thick bedding or blankets – and don't forget to curl up with them for a cuddle when they need a fuss!

Hence you having your cake and eating it too, by warming his bed as well as the city’s number one hitman August Walker’s. Something about their darkness calls to you. Nothing feels better than being with a man who’s hands have taken countless lives but uses those same hands to wring pleasure from your body.
Bucky's finally had enough when he watches you whisper in the little twerp’s ear. A giant smile lighting up the man’s face as you lead him down the hall to the VIP restroom.
Bucky follows you under the pretense of your safety. That’s what he will tell anyone who asks anyway. In actuality he’s going to remind you what playing with a wolf gets you. No huffing or puffing. But he will devour you whole.
Slamming the door open, Bucky interrupts your little make out session. The boy even has a hand inching up your skirt. He grabs the unsuspecting fool by the back of the shirt and removes him from the room.
“You’re cut off buddy. Get the fuck out and forget about her before I leave you with a lasting reminder.” He pushes his suit jacket to the side, showing off his favorite blade with a deadpan face. The idiot speeds out of there.
“Buzzkill.” You pout.
“Tease.” He retorts.
“Possessive much?”
“Of you?” He looks you up and down. “Absolutely.”

“Do your worst Demigod for I have already felt the flames of Hel lick across my flesh.” You lift your shirt so that he can see your scars.
He reaches out to touch them, pausing to look you in the eye and get your consent. You nod your head, and he closes the gap. His battle roughened fingers caress the raised flesh. Reminders of your near death at the hands of someone sworn to love and protect you.
“Is that why you have your very own Garmr?” He asks. Fingers still tracing across your flesh.
“You noticed that did you? Hades is my protector, yes. I would never dream of chaining him up though. The only destruction he seeks is to destroy the one who harmed me. There is no need to fear him.”
“Fear is the farthest thing from my mind. More like respect and gratitude. To earn his favor would be to earn yours as well.”
“The fact that you made it into this room without so much as a growl from him speaks volumes. He growls whenever the Captain is around.” You laugh.
“He is rarely without Barnes though. Does he not growl at the White Wolf?”
“They’re kindred spirits I suspect. Devoted and loyal. He quite enjoys the White wolf. But don’t tell him that.”

Avengers AU. Steve Rogers x Mutant!Reader “Serenity”. Tony Stark x Mutant!Reader “Serenity”. Bucky Barnes x Mutant!Reader “Serenity”. The world is on fire, I'm so fucking tired And equally wired, so Am I to blame for my sick, frantic brain?
Notes: Found Family. Former addict. Used to use to help suppress her empathic powers. Can turn emotions into forms of the elements. Found by Clint and Nat. They’re very protective of her. Anger=fire. Joy=sunlight. Sadness=a storm. Excitement=blooming flowers. So on and so forth.
Steve and Bucky show up on my doorstep a few days later. Steve is upset that I chose to leave the way I did and that I asked Cho for drugs to numb myself. Thanks Nat.
“You’ve come so far. How could you so easily want to fall back into that darkness?”
“Easy Steve. I was tired of feeling. Not to mention the physical beating those emotions were taking on my body. If you have a better way to deal with it, please let me know. But that would be hard to do, seeing as how you are one of the main causes of that pain. How long did it take for you to realize I was gone? Before you left the compound? Or after once everything settled and you needed something else to focus on?”
“That’s not fair Serenity. I was taking care of my best friend. He needed me.”
“And I didn’t?”
“It’s not like that. Please, come on. You know I love you. I’ve told you this before. I wouldn’t abandon you like that.”
“And yet, you did. It didn’t even take Tony 24 hours to reach out and ask me to come home. So he can ‘lose himself’ in me and begin to heal. I refused to of course. Not until all this toxicity is dealt with. It’s been almost a week since the incident, and you finally showed up. Good for you Steven.”
“We were trying to figure out where it was safe to go for Bucky. Traveling under the radar is not easy. We got here as soon we could.”
“I call bullshit. And here’s why. If you cared to listen to me speak about things other than my dark past you would know that I have a place here on Clint’s farm. That it is my safe haven and where I go when I need a reset. You would also know that this place is safe for any of us. It would have been your first stop. But it wasn’t. So who told you I was here. Nat? Sam?”
“Me.” Bucky blurts out. “I told him we could find you here. Just as you said. I knew you would be here. We took a week because I was waiting for his emotions to even out before we put you through anymore pain. I never want to see you go through what you did that day ever again.”
“Bucky, I…” I can feel my body responding to his honesty. “I’m at a loss for words other than thank you.”
“Your eyes.” Bucky points out.
“What about them?”
“They’re amber. Almost glowing like the flames of a campfire. They’ve never done that before. Are you angry?”
“N-No. I’m definitely feeling something. But it’s not anger.”
“Than what could it be?”

A Day Dream
By Emily Brontë
On a sunny brae, alone I lay One summer afternoon; It was the marriage-time of May With her young lover, June.
From her mother's heart, seemed loath to part That queen of bridal charms, But her father smiled on the fairest child He ever held in his arms.
The trees did wave their plumy crests, The glad birds caroled clear; And I, of all the wedding guests, Was only sullen there!
There was not one, but wished to shun My aspect void of cheer; The very grey rocks, looking on, Asked, "What do you here?"
And I could utter no reply; In sooth, I did not know Why I had brought a clouded eye To greet the general glow.
So, resting on a heathy bank, I took my heart to me; And we together sadly sank Into a reverie.
We thought, "When winter comes again, Where will these bright things be? All vanished, like a vision vain, An unreal mockery!
The birds that now so blithely sing, Through deserts, frozen dry, Poor spectres of the perished spring, In famished troops, will fly.
And why should we be glad at all? The leaf is hardly green, Before a token of its fall Is on the surface seen!"
Now, whether it were really so, I never could be sure; But as in fit of peevish woe, I stretched me on the moor.
A thousand thousand gleaming fires Seemed kindling in the air; A thousand thousand silvery lyres Resounded far and near:
Methought, the very breath I breathed Was full of sparks divine, And all my heather-couch was wreathed By that celestial shine!
And, while the wide earth echoing rung To their strange minstrelsy, The little glittering spirits sung, Or seemed to sing, to me.
"O mortal! mortal! let them die; Let time and tears destroy, That we may overflow the sky With universal joy!
Let grief distract the sufferer's breast, And night obscure his way; They hasten him to endless rest, And everlasting day.
To thee the world is like a tomb, A desert's naked shore; To us, in unimagined bloom, It brightens more and more!
And could we lift the veil, and give One brief glimpse to thine eye, Thou wouldst rejoice for those that live, Because they live to die. "
The music ceased; the noonday dream, Like dream of night, withdrew; But Fancy, still, will sometimes deem Her fond creation true.

A Ripple Effect - A Reminder to Smile
“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive. To Breathe. To Think. To Enjoy. To Love.” ~ Marcus Aurelius
We are having false spring here in North Carolina with temperatures in the mid to high 70’s. It’s a little weird, but I’m not complaining!
Yesterday, I was with my assistant Hannah, and we were doing some photography and trying to think of what we could do that was different. It can get a little monotonous photographing outfits and it’s always nice to think of a fun way to shake things up a little.
I purchased this cute pink blouse in anticipation of warmer weather and yesterday was the perfect day to take pictures! The weather was glorious, with blue skies and low humidity! I paired my with some light wash jeans, adorable kitten heels from Zara, a pink Tory Burch bag and we went to the park…with a few other accessories.
The park is two blocks from our home and we are so lucky to be able to walk to such a beautiful area. I grew up playing in this park, but it has recently been refurbished and is a haven to people from all over the town. There are walking paths, a creek, lots of park benches, water features, a children’s playground and so much more! Anyway…the park was full of people walking their dogs and enjoying the beautiful day!
It’s funny how most people are so friendly but there are those few who are just inherently grumpy! It became a game with us to see if we could make the grumpy people smile with our antics and, several times, it worked. I know everyone who walked by was wondering what in the world we were doing, but we were having so much fun taking pictures and laughing.
Obviously, wine is not allowed in the park (especially in a glass), but being the rebel that I am (haha), I snuck a bottle and a glass in a bag and pulled it out for pictures. The story was going to be…how to sit on a park bench and drink wine in the park discreetly (I know, silly, but, why not?). We were obviously having a good time! and what happened was that we made most everyone smile! Laughter is contagious!
We didn’t plan on being a comedy routine in the park, but when I got home and had a little time, it made me think. The grumpy people had such a negative energy and it was going out into the world. The positive people had such positive energy that was also going out into the world. You never know how you can affect total strangers just with a smile or a kind word and…when you speak to a stranger and they smile and speak back, it makes you feel good too!
In a world where there is so much fear and negativity, why not be the light in someone’s day…even if it’s just a smile. Your smile could create a ripple effect because maybe the person you give a smile too will then smile at a stranger later in their day. Everything is energy and even if you don’t realize it, your good, positive energy has an effect in the world!
I’m very aware that everyone can’t be positive all of the time…we all have bad days, but there are ways to lift your spirits and contribute to raising the vibration everywhere!
Get out and enjoy the weather…especially on a beautiful sunny day…it’s an instant mood lifter! Give someone a smile and say hello. Look around and find things to be grateful for - there is always something! Surround yourself with people who have a positive outlook…like I said, it’s contagious! Take a 5 minute break in your day to have a cup of tea or just sit and let your mind relax…breathe! Treat yourself…it could be as small as a piece of chocolate, but you’re doing something for you. Move your body…10 minutes of yoga can make you feel like a new person.
I think you’re getting the point. Don’t be the person in the grocery store with a scowl on your face. Be the person with a smile that radiates positivity out into the world!
I am wearing a perfect spring outfit for a casual day! My jeans and blouse are both from Citizens of Humanity, my shoes are Zara (love them), and my bag is from Tory Burch!

Never enough |Chuuya comfort x Reader
Angst and fluff time
Tumblr media
Never enough |Chuuya comfort x Suicidal depressed Reader|
Warnings- mentions of Self-harm, heavy depression, suicide, lack of love for one's self. -I honestly wrote this as a self-comfort cause I needed something, so it really is triggering-
Word count- 1,700 words (roughly)
Life is a storm, full of calm eyes and rough winds that threaten to knock you over. Within life, there are ups and down; rough and soft moments in the storm. Tears are like rain, drizzling and pouring. There are light cries and heavy cries just like the sky. Happiness, fear, sadness, anger; emotions are weather. There are sunny days; happiness, thunderstorms; fear, rainy days; sadness, hurricanes; anger.
The clouds wept today. Wrapping around the moonlight, it hid the light. Water made heavy clinking noises against metal. The rush of cars swooshed against water as they sped by, the sound of a silent street followed. There were no voices, no couples, no people within eyesight or earshot. Today was a rainy day; a sad day. Tears fell in pattern with the falling water. Crimson dissipated within the water. Flowing down the roof the water washed it away. Clothing stuck, hair fell, eyes continued to look down.
You felt alone, afraid, disgusted, and angry with yourself and others. Your legs dangled off the edge of the roof. Listening to the music of sadness; a rainy night, you hummed. There was nobody else there with you, besides your thoughts you were alone. Though it was no surprise, it happened all the time.
People leave, people move one, people are not permanent. There is death in life; life in death. You pondered the meaning of such similes often. Running arms over your soaked clothes you choked on sobs. Letting out silent cries you shed the pain. Out of alcohol and still sober enough to feel you tossed the empty bottle to the roof entrance. It shattered to hundreds of pieces, adding sound to your cries. This isn't normal; to feel like this. You hated the things you’ve done, the job you could not back out from. You hated the way you looked. It didn’t matter what people said to you about being perfect the way you are. The small voices of people who put you down stood out. The ones that edge this crippling insecurity stuck out the most. They say the smallest flame can do more damage than the largest flame. It makes sense though, a large flame grows from the smallest flame. The large flames that start that size often take a while to do the same damage a building flame has done. Words worked like that; the smaller words that came from those close built into raging flames.
You shouted curses under your breath, looking to your lined arms, you choked back another sob. Why, why did you do these things? They were temporary freedoms from this pain but it never lasted; like drinking. Everybody needs a way to tell these feelings to fuck off, but at points, it doesn't work. Those thoughts cross the mind. The permanent solution to what they call a temporary problem. It isn’t always temporary, sure it goes at times to reveal the sun, but then it returns three-fold. It never leaves forever, they say it gets better, but sometimes it's hard to see that light at the end. Sometimes it's so far away it seems impossible to reach unless somebody else can help.
Everybody says it’s alright to be like this. Yet, they never help, they never offer up their hand to pull you out of the quicksand. They never attempt to push you forward in the tunnel. They stand, and they watch you break, until it’s suddenly benefiting for them to step in. Then, they dare to ask why you’re like this. It’s not a choice, it’s not something that can be so easily controlled. It’s a monster with its talons tearing into you.
So maybe, that’s why you did it. That’s why you inched closer and closer. Maybe that’s why you looked up and shut your eyes. Tapping fingers against the rooftop's edge. Humming tunes to try and steer your thought from doing the last resort. Just before the wrong decision could be made, you were grabbed and pulled back.
You felt so far from the world, nothing was clicking or connecting the dots. A harsh sting to your cheek brought your mind swirling back to the present. Noticing you were paying attention, the dark silhouette of a short male shouted words. “What were you thinking!” he hissed holding your shoulders with a firm grip.
“I… I don't know?” you mumbled feeling the tears swell in your eyes again.
“You don’t know? What the hell, I know we're all a little messed up but you can't…” it fell on him, his voice cutting out as he fell to his knees. His hands slid around you. Firmly holding you, he yanked your soaked body to his. His umbrella only hid your bodies from the wind with his ability. “How long, tell me how long.” his voice was breaking but still stern.
“I don’t know? Weeks, months, maybe years?” you don't move, afraid and cold, you could not meet his eyes. “Why do you care? You’ll just end up the same as everybody else. I’m worthless right? I mean, everybody leaves me alone. I don't fit beauty standards to perfection. Nobody would want me so, why not? Why not take the shortcut to happiness?” you were slapped again. It was light, but it stung enough to snap you from those thoughts again.
“Ya well think about somebody else! I don’t need two suicidal idiots! Having one to worry about is enough! Not that I worry about that mongrel! I do about you though, you’re my drinking partner. You’re the one who managed to get me to open up to being touched! I don’t hug or act... soft with anybody else! You don’t get to take that away! I don’t care what you look like, sound like, fuck, I don’t care about anything but what’s in there. In that fuckin heart! I am not a softy, you know I don’t say shit like this often but… you can’t do that! If you're miserable enough to really be willing to toss it all away, then you should talk to somebody!” his voice was panicked. Yes, he was being selfish. He knew that this wasn’t your fault, it wasn’t a feeling you could so easily overcome. Yet, here he was hoping that you would let him help you.
“I'm sorry! I’m so sorry! I just… I thought… wouldn’t it be better for everybody though? Sure you'd be sad at first but you'd forget about me!” Chuuya shook his head. Meeting your eyes with his clouded ocean ones. Tears fell, almost unnoticeable within the pouring rain.
“No, no I wouldn't! I wouldn't because I love you! I fell in love, I don't know how or when it… it just happened! Isn’t this enough? One person, am I not enough? If I had known I’d have held you to me, given you all the cuddles you ever needed!” he buried his face into the crook of your neck. He didn’t care if you felt the same or not at this point. He just needed to let you know somebody cared for you.
“Chuuya…” a light in the tunnel, it formed inside the tunnel.
It is, as they say, eventually you will meet that light. You will find meaning in your life. Something good will happen, then, all the people who put you here will be nothing but bad memories, and lingering ghosts of the past; You can move on. A light will come to you eventually, no matter how dark it seems, that light will show itself. In a friend, a relative, a job offer, an achievement. Those beads of light spread and eventually, they will pull you out enough to know true happiness.
When Chuuya looked worriedly to you, he was taken aback by your arms tossing around him. Your tears being muffled by his own lips. He kissed back before pulling away. Even if you still felt low you were slightly feeling better. Just knowing there was somebody to hold you like this was enough to curve the thoughts for a while.
He took his jacket and wrapped it around you, lifting you into his arms. He carried you to his penthouse, setting you down on the couch located in his bedroom. He looked around, finding one of his larger hoodies he tossed to you. He started hot chocolate as he waited for you to change. You’d probably be sick tomorrow, given it had been cold and you were drenched.
He carried the mug back to the couch, placing it down, he frowned. Walking to a closet, he pulled a small towel out. Rubbing it against your skull as you sniffled, he sighed. “Do you need anything else?” shaking your head, you grabbed his arm.
“Just… some cuddles?” he nodded holding you close, trying to warm your frigid body up. “Did you mean it? You'd really care if I…”
“Yeah, I did, is there a problem? I know it may not mean much. I know how depression works, at least a little bit. It’s not something that can be easily controlled. I just want you to know that you are perfect to me. If somebody ever tells you otherwise, I'll crush them to a pulp.” cracking a small smile, Chuuya's eyes lit up. “There we go, a small smile is a win. So you like me being all protective? Good, I’m a little territorial.”
Looking at him you nodded. “Yeah… okay.” you still sounded so sad.
“I'm serious! I’d squash even Mori if he insulted you in any way! You’re the most perfect thing I've ever seen and known! You're beautiful outside and inside, people are just jealous of how perfect you are.” he was trying to lift your spirits and it seemed to work a little.
“Can we just stay like this?” Chuuya nodded, letting you lean your head on his shoulder. He didn’t move even as you fell asleep.

I've been watching anime all day so here's a late nalu day gift
Lucy slammed her bedroom door and flopped down on her bed with a weary sigh, weeping into her pillow as her day finally came to an end.
The open door of her patio allowed her to hear the neighing of carriage horses taking away her most recent suitor, a man who barely knew what the meaning of personal space was.
Just how many princes and dukes had to waltz through their gates before the princess’ father realized that they had no interest in adequately courting her? It was painfully obvious how the lot of them were only interested in her well-displayed décolletage over her personality and spent more time schmoozing up to the king instead of trying to win her favor.
What hurt, even more, was knowing that she could never be with the one who was truly meant for her.
She stared at the red string tied to her pinky, the fiber ending far off in the distance where it connected to her destined partner. It calmed her in some ways, allowed her to feel a sense of clarity, knowing there was at least one more person out there who could give her the true love she craved.
She hoped every day, when Spetto called her down to meet another suitor, that it would be him, the one on the other end of her string, waiting to hold her as she wanted to hold him.
They could instead be a peasant, she thought as her hopes for him to visit one day were beginning to fade. Not that she cared about that kind of thing, but it meant that they didn't have the means to enter the castle easily. Or maybe they were somewhere in a neighboring country, too far away to find her. Maybe he hadn't been gifted the power to see the string and didn't know she was waiting for him but felt just as empty without her by his side.
She was sure if she voiced her knowledge of the red string to anyone else, they would call doctors from all over Earthland to analyze her cognitive function.
But she desperately wanted to tell everyone that she had no intention of selecting a suitor through their gaudy traditions. She would instead venture out into the world to find her soulmate, the person at the end of her red string of fate. But knowing her father, he would only let her marry with the promise of the expanded wealth she would gain him from a political marriage.
"Miss? Are you still awake?" Spetto knocked lightly, the princess holding in her sniffles to hear what the maid had to say. "I'm sure you are…but I won't bother you. Your father wants you to know that he'll be inviting the Duke Cream from Veronica for another visit tomorrow. He's eager to correct his…insolent behavior from the last time he saw you."
The princess didn't bother answering and instead let out a frustrated sigh as the sound of her maid's footsteps echoed down the hall. The setting sun illuminated the crimson strand and her fingers loosely wrapped around it, her weak pout quivering as she tugged on the phantom satin.
"I'd rather have you, whoever you are..."
~000~
"The princess!" Spetto screamed as she ran into the King's throne room. Jude was sat upon his seat with the Duke at his side, their conversation halting at her interruption. "She's gone!"
"What in the world do you mean, woman? I'm sure that no good daughter of mine has just buried her nose in one of those god awful fairy tales again. Have the guards search the library for her," He gruffed, rolling his eyes as her demeanor became more hysterical and shaken.
"I have, your highness! The princess has run away, she's truly nowhere to be found!"
"And just when I was about to be introduced to my bride," The Duke frowned and tossed his bleached hair aside. "Send hounds after her, why don't you? I will not let this girl make a fool of me on this glorious day."
"Go on, then," The King glared at his guards standing nearby who quickly rushed out the door. "I should have known that girl would be trouble. Her mother had always filled her head with nothing but pure nonsense."
Lucy lifted her billowy skirt as she ran through the woods, deep within its darkness, trying her best to ignore the now wailing trumpets of distress audible in the distance. She knew it wouldn't have been long until someone noticed her absence, especially after having heard the reality behind Duke Cream’s visit.
It was by chance, an incident that occurred while she was passing her father's office the night before. Lucy heard the plans he made to arrange her marriage to the Duke, ensuring that their kingdom would absorb the principality. This meant her father would have an entire stronghold on the country of Fiore.
A life with that obnoxious and narcissistic Duke was not one she wanted, nor could even stand the thought of.
So, in a panic, she made plans to run away, leaving when the guards wouldn’t be around, going as far as she could go without any clear signs of which direction she'd taken off in. She persevered through her tiredness with the lone thought of her meeting her soulmate who was sure to greet her with a wide smile and open arms.
"This way! C'mon now, you'll never make it running without anywhere in mind!" A voice tinkled through the line of trees, halting the princess in her place as she breathed harshly and darted around scared eyes.
"Who's there! I-I'm not going back to the castle!" Lucy shouted as she turned about in circles, shrieking as a short blonde girl suddenly appearing from thin air
"Did I say I was trying to take you home? No! Now hurry it up! You'll never make it there if you make stops like this, follow me!" She instructed, turning toward the trees and beginning to run.
"Who are you?" Lucy asked between pants as she followed the shorter blonde, mesmerized by the trail of sparkles she left behind her, and the cute wings peeking out from beside her ears.
"A friend," She smiled as she continued maneuvering them through the woods. "And a guide! You’ll never get where you need to go without my help,"
"So you know where I'm going? You can see my string too?"
"Well, sure! I let you see it after all. Boy, was he worried when I told him you were stuck out here without your magic. Idiot almost killed himself trying to find his way through, but it can't be done by anyone but a spirit." She sighed and shook her head, rambling as they avoided a patch of bramble bushes
"My soulmate...? He was looking for me too? Really?" Lucy felt her heart swell, beating stronger even as she ran, a dazzling smile taking its claim of her lips.
"Yup! You have a very loyal man waiting for you," She giggled. "He can't wait to meet you, said he'd get his house ready and everything while I was out looking for you. I apologize for taking so long, moving around in this realm isn't easy, there’s barely any magic in this land!”
"Magic? Like in books? Isn't that practice all made up?" The princess quirked a brow as the strange girl only giggled again and slowed her movements as they found purchase under the wide berth of a willow tree.
"It's quite amazing someone like you was born here when your home is with us, in the right Fiore. Now, come on! Everyone's waiting!" She grinned, ignoring Lucy's confusion as she pulled them through the hanging branches, the two suddenly falling into the void of the trunk.
"E-Eh?! W-Wha…!" Lucy fell to her knees as she suddenly felt queasy, holding a hand to her head and waited for her headache to subside. She looked up to see where the other blonde had gone, not finding her anywhere and instead met a new and sunny skyline. "Wasn't it…night just a moment ago?"
She stood to her shaky feet, finding her body no longer weighed down by exhaustion, tears, or dirt on her dress. Whatever was in the air made her feel light as, well, air. She'd never felt so amazing before! Just where had she gone when they fell through that tree?
Taking some small steps through the field in front of her, she looked down to her finger, the red string extending into the distance behind her.
"Oh wow…" When Lucy turned around, she was met with the image of a town she had never seen before, curiosity pulling her towards the bustling streets.
It was as she always imagined the streets of the village she ruled above looked; stalls serving food and selling fresh produce, children running and laughing, patrons bartering and making light conversation, happiness in everyone's eyes. Their smiles created her own, and she followed the string eagerly, feeling just right in the Fiore she’d been led to.
She worried this would all turn into a dream soon enough, there couldn't possibly be another Fiore…or the existence of magic at that. Her steps quickened as she feared Spetto would be in at any moment to wake her, feet carrying her towards a patch of woods that broke off from the town.
It would’ve made nice for a peaceful walk if she didn’t think the calm scenery before her would disappear.
“Oi, Gray, watch it!” A sharp voice boomed from the nearby distance.
“Shut it! I know what I’m doing, it ain’t hard to paint a wall, flame brain!”
“Don’t start a fight! We had to rebuild that side of the house five times because you two keep knocking it down!”
Lucy slowed down her pace as the volume of their argument increased but kept her eyes on the string that told her he was just ahead.
Her eyes landed on a red-haired girl pointing a large sword at two boys who kneeled respectively in front of her, bowing their heads as she scolded them.
Breaking through the line of trees, Lucy smoothed down her stray hairs and dusted off her dress, holding herself nervously as she continued forward.
Each step closer made her legs feel like jelly, flushed her cheeks, and made her heart beat a million times faster, her fingers twitching as she held her hands together.
“U-Um...excuse me…?” Lucy’s voice was shaky as she approached the three, her eyes watery as she stared at the pink-haired boy who raised his head at the sound of her voice. The string fell into his lap; he was her soulmate.
The red-haired girl turned to face her first, eyes concerned as they fell on her disheveled appearance. “My goodness, are you okay? You’re not lost, are you?”
“N-No...I—“
"Oh, crap! It's you!"
"Don't say that to a girl, idiot! You have no idea who that is!" The raven-haired boy threw a glare at the pink-haired one who quickly stood up.
“Mavis didn’t tell me when you’d get here, I would’ve come to pick you up if I knew you were...oh, hey, don’t cry, okay? Um, here,” He quickly took the end of his scarf to wipe her tears, feeling a knot in his throat as she gently fell against his chest. "It's gonna be okay."
"I just...I just can't believe…" She shook her head, not minding the stain she created on his shirt. "That you're real...that you were waiting for me."
"'Course I was! Having a new family member is always exciting, and my hearts been leapin' like crazy waitin' for you! You were stuck out there all alone and I couldn't come find you. I'm sorry it took so long."
Erza forced herself and Gray to look away as the blonde hastily kissed their wild companion, his shock present in the stiffness of his back.
He was startled by the sudden action but felt himself melting into the touch, desperate as well to be close to his soulmate.
"I'm home," Lucy laughed with a bit of surprise, Natsu's eyes widening along with his grin.
"Yeah! Welcome back!"

________________________
A fat drop of water hits your cheek, rolling down your skin as you groan. Your lips twist into a frown, eyes narrowed at the rapidly darkening sky. Based on the weather report, it really was supposed to still be sunny…
Yachi squeals jolt you back into reality, her little fist, tugging at your sleeve, while Tanaka throws his head back to glare at the sky.
“Fix it please!” he moans, eyeing the sky like he’s thinking about fighting it. You sigh, shoulders slumping before shutting your eyes in concentration.
A delicate prayer, one you’ve prayed a thousand times before, enters your mind. Head bowed, you offer up the desires of your friends to the sky, hopes for a balmy breeze and warm sun. And as quickly as it came, the rain began to slow, clouds dispersing in the breeze.
Tanaka gives a holler, fist pumping in the air, while Yachi lets go of your sleeve, letting out a sigh.
“Thanks, Y/N,” she chirps, sending you a small smile. Looping her arm with yours she rests her head on your shoulder, giggling at Tanaka as he swings his arms around, lost in the story he was telling.
You smile softly at your friends, briefly eyeing the sky, and offering a small thanks. There are some days where a blue sky can change everything, it can lift spirits, bring joy, and you certainly weren’t gonna let it rain tonight, not during the festival everyone’s so excited for.
“Y/N!” Tanaka’s voice cuts through your thoughts, and he waggles his eyebrows. “I asked if you’re meeting your fox tonight.” You roll your eyes as Yachi makes a noise of excitement.
“I mean that’s the plan? I’ve never meant him in person though,” you sigh, face feeling warm. A large arm loops around your shoulder, forcing both you and Yachi closer to him.
“Yea, I’m sure you get up to a lot in those dreams.” Tanaka barks out a laugh, and you shove him away.
“It’s not like that! I’ve told you. He’s always a fox.” Yachi pets your arm, nodding in an understanding manner.
“Of course, Y/N. Of course.” You fume, pulling your arm away from her and crossing your arms.
“I’m not lying. Why would I lie about this?” She giggles, while Tanaka shakes his head.
“Will he be at the festival?” Your lips purse and you nod, eyes cast down.
“Yea, but I don’t know when or where,” you sigh. Tanaka strokes his chin in thought.
“Well, you’ll definitely know him when you see him. He marked you after all right?” Tanaka sounds so confident, so sure, and Yachi nods in agreement.
“He made you a sunshine girl and you talk with him all the time.”
Their confidence fills you with an electric excitement. You were finally going to meet your fox. You were going to meet Atsumu.
Except he doesn’t show up.
Minutes slowly pile onto one another, adding up to hours. The sun dips down, and you’re left in the glow from the stalls, trying to ignore the way your stomach sinks and the looks your friends send you when they think you can’t see.
It’s embarrassing, mortifying, even. You had been so excited, chattering away about Atsumu, only for him to stand you up. And Tanaka and Yachi try to make you feel better, dragging you around to different stalls, paying for all sorts of snacks and treats. But after the 4th pity dessert, you excuse yourself, saying you need to take a walk.
The farther you walk away from the festival, the quieter it gets, the silence and cool air helping you clear your mind.
So what? You had been stood up. That happens all the time to people. But it's not every day the spirit who had blessed you breaks his promise. Your feet slow to a stop, and you bite your lip, trying to hold back the stinging tears that threaten to fall.
Your head tilts back, eyes taking in the cloudless sky. Would he have told you the same jokes he had in your dreams? Would he have bought you food? Would he even have money? Would he still help you bring the sun? You sigh wiping weakly at your eyes, before two golden eyes catch your attention.
A fox sits before you, tail swaying excitedly behind it. You crouch down before it, eyes widening as realization dawns on you.
“Are you my spirit? My kitsune?” you whisper, looking for any signs of recognition or intelligence. It blinks at you, head cocking to the side blankly. Warmth settles over you in an embarrassment. He stood you up; he wouldn’t show up now. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, even if you aren’t him.”
You rise brushing non-existent dirt off your thighs. Giving the fox a small wave before you turn your back.
You’ve taken maybe three steps before arms encircle your waist, and you’re held flush against something warm and hard.
“It’s nice to meet you too,” a low and somewhat familiar voice growls in your ear. You’re wiggling in his arms when he spins you, and you’re met with a new face that is way too close to yours But he’s handsome.
Blonde hair with dark roots, dreamy eyes, a smile that threatens to devour you alive. His yukata is half open, allowing your eyes easy access to his skin. You can see a tail flicker behind him in your peripheral, but you’re too focused on his eyes, how hypnotic they are. You swallow past the lump in your throat, taking in the two fuzzy fox ears that sit in his hair.
“Oh.”
His eyes widen, before his head tilts back, a burst of loud laughter filling the quiet air. Your stomach flips, and you try to squirm out of his arms, a bashful feeling overcoming you. But his hands curl into you, claws almost painful, but keeping you close. When his laughter subsides, he sends you another easy grin.
“You finally meet your almighty kitsune in the flesh, and all you can say is ‘oh.’” Hands settling against his chest, you blink dumbly at him, as recognition finally dawns on you.
It’s him.
You’ve heard him in your dreams so often, it’s utterly embarrassing you didn’t know soon enough, but it’s Atsumu. You cry out, arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him against you. He nuzzles into you, laughing and tightening his hold.
“Hi.” It’s a whisper against your neck, and it sends a chill down your spine, reminding you of the impropriety of the position you’re in. You drop your arms, stiffening against him. Atsumu pulls back, corners of his lips pulled down in a small frown. “Why so shy?” Your eyes drop down, and his arms loosen, allowing you to draw back.
“This is different than in my dreams,” you murmur, not sure how else to explain that reconciling your pre-existing idea of Atsumu being a fox with the broad, handsome man before you isn’t going to happen immediately. But he doesn’t seem to understand, hands moving to cup your face.
“I’m sure it is.” Half-lidded eyes meet yours, and his nose brushes against yours, and your mind feels cloudy with the overload of information. “Let me make my little follower feel good..” He trails off, pressing a sweet kiss into your cheek. You bite your lip, brows pinching together in thought.
“I don’t know…”
“Why not?” he mutters into your neck, leaving stinging kisses up your neck, against your jaw. His hands travel to rest on your hips, squeezing the flesh there.
“You stood me up,” you pout, brows pinching in annoyance. Remorse ripples on his face, tail gently swaying behind him.
“I only want to see you. No one else. I was waiting. Do you know why?” Dark eyes spark in question, waiting. You shake your head, head feeling stuffy, letting him move your arms to wrap around his neck again.
“I want you alone, my sweet little sunshine girl. I’m sorry I wasn’t clear. Let me make it up to you,” he coos, canine teeth poking out from his dangerous smile. His nose brushes against yours, eyes burning into you.
“Oh.” Atsumu barks out a laugh, head resting against your shoulder, fuzzy ears tickling your cheek.
“There you go again with an ‘oh,’” he murmurs, hands pulling you flush against him again. “Will you let me make you feel good?” He squeezes at your waist again, tail softly brushing up and down your leg. Something hot and dangerous flows through your body, desire blooming inside you, and without thinking about the implications, you nod.
“Ok.”
He shoots you a roguish grin that makes your stomach flip. A warm hand grasps yours dragging you past the tree line, deeper and deeper into the dark, until he stops, yanking you back into his arms.
“No one will find us here,” he murmurs nipping at your neck, ears twitching. You look around at the empty clearing.
“Are you sure?” you whimper, tugging at his hair as his hands slip beneath your skirt.
“I’m positive, little human.” His hand glosses over your rapidly dampening panties. His lips ghost over yours, eyes alight with a burning fire. “Now let me make you feel good.”
Atsumu surges forward, warm lips meeting yours. Your hands grapple into his hair, letting out a little whimper as his hand slips beneath your panties. His tongue slides into your mouth, ring and index finger gently spreading your folds. A whine leaves your throat when his calloused middle finger swipes through your slick. He drags the wetness up and around your clit, teasing the sensitive bud and making your legs tremble.
He pulls away from you, leaving your brain feeling thick as honey, and he brings a shiny finger to his mouth - the one that was in between your legs, you realize. Something hot courses through your body as his cheeks hollow out, eyes narrowed in on yours. Releasing his finger with a pop, he licks his lips, smirking at you.
“I’m going to eat you alive.” Your pussy clenches at his words, and his lips are on yours again. It’s messier this time, more aggressive, his sharp canines poking into you, the rough pad of his tongue trying to explore your mouth. Atsumu drops to his knees, pulling you down with him. He pushes you back into the grass, settling in between your legs.
A clawed hand gently pulls down your panties, and his thumb brushes over the wet spot. He takes a sniff at the fabric, eyes cruelly taking in your embarrassed face, and his tongue shoots out, lapping at your arousal.
“Atsumu,” you hiss, hands covering your face. A bark of laughter reaches your ears, and you feel your skirt being pushed up slowly. It’s only when you feel a hot presence hovering in between your thighs that you peek through your fingers.
Atsumu shoots you a sardonic grin before pressing his face into the warmth of your cunt, shutting his eyes, and inhaling deeply through his nose. You sit up, hands dropping, curling into the soft grass beneath you.
“Atsumu! Don’t do that!” you cry out, trying and failing to shut your thighs. His eyes blink open, and he sniffs at your cunt again.
“You smell good.” His hand lands on your torso, gently pushing you back down. “Human.”
You inhale shakily as he continues to inhale, fingers gently pulling at your pussy. With a certain tenderness, his tongue swipes at your folds, making you shiver, fingers digging into the earth. He hums happily before diving in.
A pathetic noise leaves your mouth as he groans into your dripping cunny. Squelching noises fill the air as he sucks and slurps, tongue circling your clit. You rock against him brainlessly, humping his face as you gush. It briefly crosses your mind that his fangs could do some serious damage, but it feels too good for you to care.
He paws at your clothing, shoving things away until you’re left with only your skirt bunched around your waist. His hands slide up, gently pressing into the newly exposed skin. His lips wrap around your clit, sucking at the bud.
You thrash under him, fingers tangling into his hair as your thighs squeeze around his head. Atsumu moans against you, rough tongue pushing into your sopping cunny. He curls the muscle, thrusting in and out as you buck against him.
“Gonna cum, ‘Tsumu,” you moan, pulling him tight against you. Eyes hazy, he thumbs at your clit, groaning as your pussy clenches, gushing into his mouth. You babble, fingers brushing at his fuzzy ears. It feels so good, so right, cumming on his face. You writhe against him, as your orgasm gradually subsides. And then ever so gently, Atsumu’s claw scratches at your clit, making you cry out. You weakly tug at his hair, catching his attention as he continues to lap away.
“’Tsumu no more,” you whine. “Wanna kiss you.” And you watch as he melts against your thigh, eyes darkening he finally relents, pulling away from your cunt. Lips glistening, he crawls up your body, before stopping above you. With a grin, he drops down, crushing you with his weight. You let out a puff of air, but you can’t help to laugh as his thighs bracket yours, letting him support some of his weight. He watches you fondly, tail stroking your leg.
“I was gonna make you squirt. But next time, hmmm.” You preen at his words, fingers rubbing at the base of his ears, pushing him down to meet your lips again. He hums happily, tail brushing against the inside of your thighs. You shiver and let out a small moan, cunt already feeling needy and desperate again.
“’Tsumu,” you whine again, this time grinding against him.
“Gonna have to say it,” he teases, sending you a smile that you find infuriating.
“Want you inside of me.” Your brows pinch in frustration, as you continue to try and rock up against him. He tuts as you, finger barely slipping into you fluttering pussy.
“Like this?” His voice is low in your ear, a dark taunt that makes you gush under him.
“Quit messing around!” you yelp, weakly batting at his chest. Atsumu laughs, pulling his finger out and pressing a chaste kiss to your cheek. His hard cock, lines up with your gushing cunny, and he drags the tip of his cock up and down, nudging your clit.
“Say it.” His eyes are dark, demanding, giving you no room to pout and whine your way out of having to say it.
“I want your cock inside of me,” you moan, squirming under his attention.
“Oh? You think you’re ready?” You nod pulling at his hair as you continue to swivel your hips, trying to force his cock inside of you.
“I can take it, I know I can! I’ll be good!” you cry out, shame evaporating as he begins to push in. Atsumu nuzzles against your neck, peppering kisses against the exposed skin.
“You’re always good to me.”
And with that, he bottoms out. You squeal at the stretch, legs locking around him forcing him to still as you adjust. His tail brushes against your legs reassuringly.
“Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.” He grunts, nipping at your neck. “My perfect little human, so hot and creamy inside.” You clench at his words, nails dragging against his back. Your legs loosen, giving him room to draw back. He moans as his hips pull back, your gummy walls trying to keep him inside.
Atsumu slams back in, making you squeak out his name. You whimper as your body
“Gonna let me cum in this pussy?” He mutters in your ear, making your pussy tighten. “Gonna let me claim you? Breed you?” You nod, mindlessly babbling, as you tug at his ears. “That’s right, you’re mine. Mine, mine, mine.” You grind up against him, trying to meet his thrusts.
“Yours. Please. I’m gonna-” His teeth sink into your shoulder, making you scream. You clamp around him, legs shaking as you cunny flutters. He moans as you buck against him, feeling overwhelmed by the velvety heat of your cunny.
“I know you are! Cum for me, just like that. That’s a good little sunshine girl,” he coos, eyes rolling into the back of his head as you cream around him.
“Want your cum!” you slur, mind still reeling, pussy feeling extra sensitive as he continues to thrust.
“Fuck, really gonna let me, huh? That’s my little human.” Atsumu licks at the bite mark on your shoulder. When his hips stutter against yours, he groans your name, thighs tensing. You tighten your legs and arms around him, trying to pull him into you as hot cum fills you.
Atsumu collapses on you with a moan, leaving little kisses along your neck. His cock softens inside you, but he makes no effort to pull out, hands squeezing your waist. His tail swishes along your legs, the repetitive motion slowing your mind.
“You know. Earlier you said I’m always good to you, but you got it backwards,” you yawn, drowsiness clouding your brain. “You’re so good to me. Make me feel special and keep me company in my dreams. You always help me make the sun come out.” Atsumu stiffens at that, and you furrow your brows at the change.
“Atsumu? Are you-“ but he cuts you off with a tight squeeze, nuzzling into your hair.
“Real tired, baby. Just wanna lay here with you.” You nod against him, softly petting his tail as exhaustion overtakes you. ✨

Ben had been gone for about a month now, off in America filming a project that just so happened to involve one of his friends, Joe Mazzello. He seemed happy enough in their nightly FaceTime chats - well nightly for Ben, morningly for (Y/N) - but just speaking to each other on the phone wasn’t enough. This time in particular had been harder on them than all the other times in the past he had to leave in order to earn a living, and they could only chalk it up to being newlyweds. Ben missed his best girl, and would send her texts throughout the London evening, LA morning saying how much he missed her and how he couldn’t wait to be home again. And of course the instagram content that came with Joe and Ben’s reuniting was enough to keep the female laughing throughout the day when her lover was asleep.
(Y/N) and Frankie had been getting by well as they always did when Ben was gone. Long walks together in the morning after calls with Ben and another in the evening when (Y/N) returned home from work. While Frankie wasn’t the blond actor the (H/C) woman had fallen in love with, her cuddles were enough to get her through the night. The little dog seemed to know exactly when she needed comfort and would lay completely still pressed up against her body allowing her to pet her to her heart’s desire. And although when Ben was home they had the beagle sleep in her own bed, (Y/N) missed the feeling of having someone next to her. So naturally Frankie had begun to take up residence on Ben's side of the bed, ever close for when (Y/N) needed her.
The warm golden beams of sunlight streamed into the bedroom through the curtains, gently pulling the (h/c) female from her peaceful slumber a few minutes before her alarm was to go off. She stretched with a squeak before rolling over to face Ben’s empty side of the bed seeing Frankie was still passed out. (Y/N) smiled softly at her steady breathing before opting to cuddle with Ben’s pillow instead so as not to wake her. She pulled the soft cushion into her chest breathing in its scent. Even after a month of him being gone it still smelled of his shampoo and cologne with a hint of cigarette smoke. It set her heart alight with emotions of contentment and love for the actor while breaking it all the same. She missed him terribly and longed for him to be home in her arms once again. Even as the weather was starting to get a bit warmer as winter was trudging to its slow bitter end, it did little to lift her spirits. Some days were better than others, those were typically the sunny days like today, where she could wake up to the melodic sounds of birds singing in the tree right outside their window. Others she barely wanted to get out of bed, but she would know deep in her heart it’s what he would want her to do. Her alarm sounded after a few minutes waking the beagle from her slumber, but like (Y/N), this morning even Frankie was feeling rather lethargic. She stood shaking herself out before joining the female in resting her head on Ben’s pillows. (Y/N) giggled softly as she reached over to gently stroke her tricoloured fur. “I know Franks, I miss him too…” She breathed out with a smile as Frankie licked at her fingers before burying her nose into his other pillow. (Y/N) sighed peacefully as she breathed in the scent from the eygptian cotton closing her eyes again, just wanting the comfort of Ben’s embrace. She wasn’t sure how long she had drifted off for but on cue and on time as always, her phone began to buzz on the side table behind her with her morning phone call from Ben. She lazily reached over to unlock her phone, smiling tirely, the clouds of sleep still hanging heavily over her as she greeted her husband. “Hi.” She breathed.
Ben chuckled softly, seeing how drunk on sleep she still was. “I didn’t wake you did I? You’re usually in the kitchen by now.”
“Nah, we girls just decided to have a bit of a lay in this morning rather than the longer W-A-L-K.” She laughed having to spell it out so the beagle didn’t suddenly become a bolt of energy as she moved the camera so he could see both his girls at the same time.
He laughed softly, his celadon irises lighting up at the sight of the two of them. “Are you both cuddling with my pillows?”
“Well I was at least before she woke up. I miss you.” (Y/N) mumbled softly resting the phone against a section of the comforter she had piled up. Although she said it every day, each day it made his heart ache a little bit more, he was often busy on set, during the day so hearing her say that made his nights feel all the more lonely. “Franks must miss you too, she crawled over and did the exact same thing the moment she woke up.”
“Awe, well if it’s any consolation I miss my best girls more than anything.” He sighed, a slight furrow of sadness to his brow. “Not long now, though, only a few more weeks until we’ll be together again for a long while. The next few projects I’ve got stacked up don’t require leaving the UK for more than a week or two.”
“I know...but I still wish I just...had a piece of you here with me still.” She sighed with the slightest of grimaces. They chatted as they normally did for another ten minutes or so before he was yawning, worn out from his day on set. “I best be letting you get off to bed. You look quite knackered.”
“I think ‘exhausted’ is more like it.” He yawned again. He went quiet as he simply stared at the screen for a few moments. “God...how did a guy like me get so lucky to have someone as beautiful as you for a wife.” He mumbled making her blush like he always did near the end of their calls.
“Could say the same for you with those rippling pectorals of yours.” She winked cheekily making Ben chuckle softly. “I love you Ben...so much.”
“I love you more.” He smiled. “See you soon.”
“Bye….” She whispered, and with the press of a button he was gone again, just like always. (Y/N) sighed, closing her eyes for a moment as she clutched his pillow to her chest once again, a wave of longing for him and sadness washing over her for a few moments before she rolled over to gently pet the beagle a bit. “What do you say we have our breakfast and go for a walk, Franks?” She giggled as Frankie’s ears perked up at the mention of food and one of her favourite activities, her tail thumping heavily against the comforter. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
It was a beautiful day, a comfortable but still chilly seven celsius at half seven in the morning as the woman and her four legged friend made their way around Regent’s Park. The sun shone down basking the park in its golden glow, warming the air a bit more by the hour. The thing (Y/N) rather loved about the London Parks was how they made you feel as though you weren’t in the centre of a bustling metropolis. They existed as their own little world for the pair to get lost in and forget about their missing companion for however brief a time as he was never far from the forefront of her mind. As they made their way back toward Primrose Hill, (Y/N) found a sudden wave of uncontrollable nausea plaguing her. She did her best to combat the rising discomfort of the sudden sickness but as it only got steadily worse, she tugged gently on Frankie’s lead. “Come on Franks…” She breathed before pulling her in the direction of a bin before spilling her breakfast into it. (Y/N) groaned as she looked down at Frankie who was looking expectantly up at her with perked ears as if silently asking if she was okay. Her (E/C) irises shone brightly in the London morning as she stooped down to gently pat the beagle’s head. “I’m alright, come on, let’s go home.”
However the strange sickness didn’t stop with one and done. (Y/N) was quite ill all the time she was at work, experiencing another chunder soon after lunch, then in the late afternoon, and a few times in the evening as well. She turned in early for the night figuring it to be a stomach bug of sorts, but when this bug persisted for the next few days, it was plain to see that something wasn’t right. “I just don’t know what’s wrong with me.” She mumbled as she ran a hand over her face as she sat on the couch with a cup of peppermint tea to settle the gurgling pit that was her raging stomach with Ben on Facetime. “Think I should go to the GP?”
“I’d feel a lot better if you did.” He reasoned as he bit the inside of his lip. “It always makes me feel so gutted when I can’t be there to take care of you when you’re ill. You deserve to have someone there for you.”
“I know love, but this isn’t the first time one of us has been ill when we’ve been apart, and I highly doubt it’ll be the last.” She smiled reassuringly at her blond. “I’m sure it’s nothing but just for some peace of mind for both of us I’ll get looked at. Sound?”
Ben nodded with a sigh. “Please text me as soon as you know something, even if I’m asleep, I’ll at least have it for when I wake up. Okay?”
She giggled softly at his conscientious attitude toward her. “I swear you’re going to make such a brilliant father one day with that overprotectiveness of yours.”
This spawned the largest grin she had seen on his features in the longest time. They of course had discussed the idea of having kids at some point after they were married. They agreed that they would let nature take its course and when it happened it would happen, all the same they were going to be careful. “Maybe one day, but for now I’ve got you to fuss over.” Regardless of when a child blessed their lives, he would never stop fussing over (Y/N). Nothing but the best was good enough for his beloved in his eyes. “I should be getting off to bed now, early call tomorrow.”
“Alright, I’ll let you know what happens when I know. I love you Benny.” She smiled using the name she knew he hated but would allow her to use while he was gone filming or when she was sick.
He rolled his eyes at the nickname as a smirk spread across his features. “I love you more (Y/N/N).” He winked before they hung up.
True to her word, (Y/N) called in sick to work that day and found herself in the waiting room at her GP. When it was her turn the doctor ran through the usual questions: what’s wrong? How long have you been experiencing symptoms? When was the date of your last period? Is there a chance that you’re pregnant? While (Y/N) didn’t believe that she was pregnant, they still opted to run a blood test anyway before looking her over further. After about ten minutes the results came back as the doctor strolled into the room. (Y/N) looked at her with a calculating stare, as if silently asking what the results were. The doctor smiled before speaking two words (Y/N) thought she and Ben wouldn’t have been hearing for quite some time yet. “You’re pregnant.” The doctor waited to gage the woman’s reaction before letting out a silent sigh of relief at the sight of a smile of someone who was on cloud nine spread across (Y/N)’s features. “Congratulations Mrs Jones.”
(Y/N) practically floated out of the GP’s office later after the appointment, unable to wipe the grin off her face. Absolutely nothing could hamper the intense feeling of dopamine coursing through her veins at this moment. She and Ben were expecting their first child. While they hadn’t been planning to have a child just yet, she knew that given his expression this morning when she told him that he was going to be a great father, he would soon be right there on cloud nine with her at the news. Now it just became a matter of how to tell her husband. She had always imagined how she would tell him that she was pregnant for the first time, of course in all of her fantasies Ben hadn’t been halfway around the world. This was going to take some creative planning on her part.
Later that evening as she was reaching for her phone to FaceTime Ben, her screen lit up with his contact photo. She smiled brightly, this was it. She quickly calmed herself before looking down at the Beagle sitting on the couch next to her, happily panting away. She unlocked the phone to see not Ben’s face but Joe’s. “Ugh, what do you want?” She playfully scoffed at her husband’s friend.
“Really (Y/N), after all this time, that’s how you greet me? I thought that we had a connection, you and I.” Joe sighed before running a hand over his face. “No matter I’ll just steal your man then.”
“You wouldn’t.” She glared playfully at the American.
“Oh wouldn’t I?” He said turning the camera so she could see Ben sitting in the car next to him who was rolling his eyes. Joe had stolen the phone from his hand the moment he pulled up her contact on FaceTime. “He’s going to be trapped in a car with me for the next hour, but I’m sure he’ll be mine in less than twenty minutes if I play my cards right.”
“Ben, is this your way of telling me you’re leaving me for Joe?” She laughed.
“No he had his chance.” He rolled his eyes, turning to look at his friend. “But you chose the fucking cardboard cutout instead.”
“How dare you disrespect Cardie B like that.” Joe laughed before handing back the Brit his phone. “I’ll let you two talk now.”
“Thank you.” Ben chuckled looking at his phone. “You alright?” He asked.
“Alright. You?” She smiled at him, her eyes glinting with that ‘I have a secret look’.
“Alright.” He smirked.
“Really feeling the love between you two.” Joe laughed prompting a two finger salute from Ben.
“You go to the GP then?” He asked (Y/N) to which she nodded. “What’d they say then?”
“Don’t you want to say hi to Frankie first? She’s been waiting here patiently. She needs a bit of love from her daddy.” She giggled putting the phone in front of Frankie prompting her to sniff at the screen. “Say hi to Ben, Franks.”
Ben rolled his eyes playfully, he just wanted to know if everything with his wife was sound, but he missed his little girl too. “Hi Franks!” He spoke making the Beagle’s ears perk up at the sound of his voice. “Daddy misses you.” He chuckled making a kissy sound. “What’s that you’ve got around her neck? Has she got on a bandana or something?”
“Oh do you like it? She picked it out when we went to the store after the GP to pick up some more food.” She giggled. “Here read what’s written on it.” She said moving the camera so Ben could see what was written on the bandana, holding her breath as he did so.
“‘Guess what? Mum’s….’” He read aloud, voice trailing off before he could speak the last word on the bandana, his celadon eyes going wide as he dropped the phone.
“Jesus Ben.” She heard Joe’s voice as he picked up Ben’s phone from the floor of the car. “Let’s see this bandana then.” Joe’s eyes scanned over the writing. “Oh my god! Congratulations you two!! I’m so happy for you!” Joe smiled, patting Ben on the back snapping him out of his trance. “Congrats man! This is fantastic!”
The blond snatched the phone back from his friend, staring intently at the screen trying to make sure (Y/N) wasn’t punking him. “Are you serious?!” A look of pure joy was covering his features. “You’re really pregnant?!”
(Y/N) smiled brightly, nodding furiously as her voice caught in her throat. She moved the phone above her so Ben could see her tummy as she placed a hand on her lower abdomen. “Looks like you left a part of you here after all.” Her smile warmed his heart more than the morning sun that shone through the car window. His wife, his best friend, his (Y/N)...was pregnant with his child. He couldn’t believe it, it was like some incredible dream and if it was, he absolutely never wanted to wake up. His only regret was that he wasn’t there to hold her right then in this moment.
“I can’t believe it...we’re going to be parents.” He was floating up out of his body, riding out the shot of ecstasy that she had given him. “My god...why can’t I be there with you right now.”
“Soon love.” She winked at him. “The three of us…” She trailed off a moment, getting Frankie in the shot. “We’re not going anywhere. We’ll be right here for you when you get back.”
“I can’t wait to be back.” Ben mumbled with a smile. They talked, along with Joe, for a bit before (Y/N) had to hang up to make supper for herself and Frankie. “Thank you (Y/N)....” He smiled referring to the child she was baring. “I love you...I love you both so, so much.”
(Y/N) thought the smile that had been permanently etched into her features all day couldn’t grow any wider, until he went and said something like that. “We love you too Ben...safe travels.” Ben’s heart fluttered against his chest at those words. He was going to be a father.
Later that night as (Y/N) was about to head to bed, she received a text from Joe on WhatsApp. You’ve certainly got yourself a committed man, made the driver pull over so he could pick up this to read during our down time. With the text came a picture he took of Ben sitting in his chair offset reading a book titled ‘The Expectant Dad's Survival Guide: Everything You Need to Know’. The sight made (Y/N)’s heart sing, loud enough that she was sure that he heard it around the world in The States. Aweeeeee bless him 🥰🥰 she responded before locking her phone. She placed a hand on her belly as she laid on her back staring at the ceiling. “You’re going to have the world’s best dad, love.”

Henlo fandom!
AlcinaxDonna Resident Evil contemporary!au. A sorta of. We have demonic cutie dolls, a car accident, diseases and art galleries, fluff with some sad moment and paintings! We love paintings! Lesbian couple here {♡}.
Tumblr media
Donna still lost her parents but she is coping with the pain, she has on the face a big scar caused by the car accident that kill them both.
In good days she takes this kind of pics in black and white for herself only. She met Alcina one day on a zoom meeting and after that she made dresses only for her and her daughters who suffer from this rare condition. She knows pain, she knows physical and emotional pain so she tries to help with Angie. Donna sent the dresses to the castle and Alcina was surprised by the quality and the effort Donna put in them.
Donna is a well rewarded dollmaker with the Alcina's support because she helped her selling the first dolls.
The animated and witchie dolls are only for Donna necessities. Donna learned how to use a pc but she doesn't want to communicate by it outside of work, she has an online shop. Alcina manages the local art gallery with big profits. When they first date Alcina was a bit unconvinced about dating a veiled woman with a doll, but she was interested in Donna talent, in her unique disposition for art and her hands. They spent the time together chatting and drinking tea. Alcina neves asked about the veil, Donna one day just take her hand and feelings of warm and affection start to raise in her chest. Protection, she felt protected by Alcina and included in conversations, art and in projects such as a new person because that woman is so enthusiast every time she can listen to her. When Donna is talking,Alcina smile quietly as a proud mama with a difficult baby and Donna felt that. She was happy to have someone who cares about her, someone who tries tirelessly to improve her skills and someone who is kind. Alcina is charismatic and kind.
Donna was impressed by Alcina's figure. She never experienced a connection with anything but dolls and the gardener at villa Beneviento. Alcina surely is not impressed by a thing in this world but when Angie once tried to hug her she felt her heart melting. Donna holding Alcina's hands was the biggest progression in her life, but then comes more with the doll's hugs.
Alcina one of those days, the bad days of sickness, opened about her daughters and the loss, the disease that was consuming all of them for the first time. Donna sobbed and cried for her under the veil. She takes her hand once again. Angie declared she is sorry for the pain, the fact they were abandoned by many hospitals and the inability to do something adequate to help. Alcina asked Donna to manage the art gallery when she's dead, to not sell the castle she lived in with the daughters. Donna caressed gently the beautiful pale face of the other woman, for a long and intense moment.
"I promise I'll do everything. " she whispered . Angie was in Alcina lap hugging the best she can her big body.
Alcina would never been able to say all of those things to her daughters. She was supported only by Donna in that way. You don't want your daughters to be worried about you as a mother.
Then time goes by and dates happened more frequently with some medical help for Donna. Donna's power were huge and still remained that way but with medications other things were able to function like eating properly food or some days to take a short walk outside in the garden, so she started to actively met Alcina in her castle.
Alcina one day passed after her daughters. She passed quietly, with the supportive and calming presence of Donna.
Donna and Angie built three memorial dolls to put their memories into and one bigger: they choose carefully the outfits, the hairstyle, the accessories.
After a big moment of hesitation they choose to not animate them. They were in peace. Donna experienced happiness and loss. But she was happy. She walks to the castle and the gallery wearing a veil darker than usual and some flowers sewed in it.
Angie took her place at Alcina's office desk and also Donna.
One day a woman knocked at the museum door.
A tall, gorgeous brunette with a smartphone and white, a bit vintage, dress.
Donna smiled.
"Is that you, darling? You reincarnated faster than I thought".
The woman show her eyes under this black hat and a ferocious smile.
"How could I ever left you alone?"
"So you recognize us? Do you...?"
Alcina smiled and that was the only thing Donna needed to stand up and hug her strongly, crying on her chest.
Alcina was moving her hands on Donna's back to calm her ,Angie was on the long leg of the tall artist.
Donna suddenly lift up the veil showing her cracked face only for a second that Alcina would never forget.
Donna put back the veil with a visible shake in her hands and sobbing loudly.
It was a good day, the first of a long list. When Donna shows an emotion, is good enough for Alcina to be happy.
Donna never left the veil and the long dresses she liked to wear, but she accepted another paint by Alcina: a portrait in a completely new dress that makes feel her uncomfortable at the beginning, but she accepted that perception when she saw the work finished. She was elegant, tall, shining from inside and also under the veil but Alcina's brush was able to preserve her quiet and lonely, melancholy self even in the sunny background. That's how Alcina saw her from the very beginning? As a strong, elegant figure busy in sewing dresses, drinking tea, summoning spirits and reading books? Donna touched the canvas with a finger.
"Look,Angie, what do you think?" she asked to the doll.
"Mom beautiful " Angie declared from Alcina shoulder, that doll is fast in climbing "we will conquer the world!"
"I think your doll has some taste,my heart" said Alcina.
"Thank you,I built her and I am very picky about demons".
Alcina laughed .
"That's why I love you".
"Why,Alcina?"
"Because you choose your women as your dolls: elegant, strong and with an art addiction".

When you get this, please respond with five things that make you happy (but only if you want to)! Then, send to the last ten people in your notifs (anonymously if you want). You never know who might benefit from spreading positivity ♡
Oh, hi anon! Thank you for sending me this question. I love chatting here with y'all :)
There are A LOT of things that make me happy, but if I had to pick only ten (in no particular order) then i'd say....
1) Music and anything that involves music! Singing, blasting out some classic karaoke tunes in my living room to sing my heart out to, sitting down to listen, talking anything music-related, attending shows or performing, teaching singing lessons. You name it!
2) Writing. Been writing ever since I was nine years old and never stopped from then on. Writing is my escape, my first instinct when anything good or bad happens to me. Writing helps and has helped me heal and understand complicated emotions.
3) Drawing/Painting/Graphic Illustration/Graphic design. Both my parents are graphic designers, so I´ve been exposed to art and design ever since I was a kid. Drawing has always felt natural to me. I always loose track of time whenever I'm drawing or designing.
4) Summer/Sunny days. My favourite season everr! Waking up and seeing the sun entering my room always helps me start my day off in a better mood.
5) Travelling. I don't get to travel a lot, unfortunately, because it's hella expensive where I live. Still, I'm usually at my happiest when I'm out the city and going on an adventure somewhere. Even just going to a park and getting to sit under a tree lifts my spirits up. I love nature and love escaping the routine every once in a while.
6) Morning/nights with my boyfriend. We always lay in bed and poke fun at eachother. Sometimes it ends up in us sparring and throwing pillows and tickling eachother, sometimes it ends up in cuddles. Those simple moments with him just fill my heart up with so much joyy.
7) Hanging out with friends or family. I don't have a lot of irl friends but the ones I have are GOLD and so loyal! We don't go too crazy with partying or anything, just like drinking beer or wine and talk about life. Most of us are musicians so sometimes we play some music together too.
8) Dogs. I don't own any dogs but I'm a HUGE dog person. Like, c'mon, how can you NOT love themm? Every time I see a dog walking down the street I instantly smile.
9) Sweet food. I have the biggest sweet tooth, I swear. Chocolate, cookies, cake, alfajores but mostly ice-cream are everything to me! Literally the happiest part of my day is getting home to some chocolate milk.
10) Levihan! I only started shipping Levihan pretty much around april 2021. There's something so special about them and their dynamic that just feeds my soul with the softest, brightest most pure emotions. They have helped me relax and stay positive during stressful times, made me smile and cry and meet some of the most amazing people I've ever met. The Levihan community is so full of ultra talented people, there's not a day in which I don't feel inspired and honored and humbled and grateful. I literally admire each and every one who's a part of it and I'm so glad I can call some of those people my friends!
Okay, sorry this answer got too goddamn long. I always get too excited with asks and get carried away jsjskskd, I apologize for that.
To anybody else who wants to answer pls feel free to do so! <3 <3
