When I rewatched Bohemian Rhapsody on the weekend after I haven’t watched in in years (and rather watched Rocketman) but the music is almost only used in stage scenes, the whole movie feels rushed, their whole career seems so… effortless and I can barely feel any emotion from the movie or the actors, there is no depth to the different topics, everything just seems so.. superficial and.. easy.

I rather watch Elton John struggle with drugs, alcohol and self-hatred for two hours straight than watching a Queen movie that just seems too easy and from which I don‘t understand if it‘s supposed to be a movie about the band or only Freddie Mercury.

Queen one of the most revolutionary band and of my favourite rock bands and tbh the one that made me realise how vocals can change musicality... Here bohemian Rhapsody is one of prime examples a capella melodies and how only voice can be the greatest instrument. Also note listen to this song with earphones so you can hear the stereo and LR paning of vocals from one ear to another they did this when it wasn't even a thing.. respect for Queen remains greatest.
