This is really random, but we ball. Do you have a favorite Spider-Man movie/era?

Oooohhhh you’ve just signed yourself up for a whole rant:

So out of the films/movies (actor wise), there isn’t any that I particularly hate, buttttt I don’t think that tobey maguire’s spiderman was very good and never really enjoyed those films- don’t get me wrong- I think he’s a brilliant actor but definitely wasn’t the best choice for Peter.

I love Tom Holland’s ones, and they are definitely made better with the advancement of cgi since the other movies, I think the storylines are pretty good too and I like the involvement of him with the avengers howeverrr I do think his ones maybe lean a bit too much towards the childish side of things, portraying him acting perhaps too young (although as I understand it, his age in those films are much younger than his age in most of the comics). That’s not to say I don’t like the ‘childishness’ and I find it really fun to watch but.. yeah

And last but not least, ANDREW GARFIELDDDD in my opinion played Peter the best, he was just perfect for the role, he embodied the awkwardness and typical teen boy than Peter is supposed to be, but also portrayed the serious side so well, whilst still making it seem realistic that it’s the same person in different scenarios. I think the personality that his Peter had is the most comic accurate, but also just really fun and easy to watch.

(I realise this all sounds like I’m some obsessed middle aged person, I’m not I promise 😭🥹🙏)

I just really love spiderman and marvel 🥹

But my favourite era of comic books that spiderman is in (I don’t know if this counts as an era), but I love him in ‘Spiderman/Deadpool’ -I haven’t finished the series yet I think I’m on like issue 21 or smth, but it’s just so funny to watch them interact, and even funnier to see those ‘chad male marvel fans’ online arguing about whether they were in a canon relationship in that series or not
