Hi Rain, Merry Christmas in arears and happy new year in advance. I have read through a good amount of your blog and i gotta say you are one of the most sensible taekookers i’ve come across. I have read ur takes on taekook and jikook and i can say i see where you and other taekookers are coming from when u say you think taekook are a couple even though i don’t agree because over the years, there’s been alot of stuff that have directly or indirectly debunked taekook as a romantic pair (for me atleast)

I do have a question for you and ur followers. What will be your reaction if u come to find out one day that taekook have always been just friends and nothing more? How would u view Tae as a person if we all come to find out that he was infact dating Jennie? We had the whole accidental instagram follow back in 2021, the leaked pics in 2022 and the Paris walk in 2023. After Tae “accidentally” followed Jennie in 2021, he went on weverse and said instagram is a scary app. This entire solo era, Tae has honestly done and or said things which could imply that he is in a romantic relationship with Jungkook. We had him namedropping Jungkook on almost all his lives, talking about going to eat at Jk’s place, talking about songs Jk recommends to him and sings to him, him posting that ss of himself and Jk shirtless, posting that pic of himself and Bam in Jk’s house and we all know that he most definitely knows about what fans think of him and Jk. He has actually replied to some taekookers on weverse before. Some jikookers think Tae did some of those things to distract from his relationship with Jennie and others think he does those things so he doesn’t lose his fans who are mostly taekookers. Now no one but Tae knows why he does all these ofcourse and you taekookers would not find anything wrong with the things he does because you honestly believe he and Jungkook are in a relationship and most taekookers hate Jimin because they think Jimin has been a very bad friend to tae all these years by doing Fanservice with Jungkook even though he knows it hurts Jk. You also believe that Tae gets hurt sometimes when he watches Jikook interact. So my question to you is, what kind of a person would u think Tae is if it turns out that he was never in a romantic relationship with Jungkook but did and said all these things anyway even though he knew exactly what it looked like? I know that right now u cannot even imagine it because u really believe that taekook is real, but you used to be a Larrie and u mentioned that at some point alot of things just didn’t make sense anymore so u stopped. You have already been through that route where u shipped two pple and later realized that maybe you were wrong all along and read things wrong. What if like Larry you are also reading alot of things wrong with taekook? If it turns out that you are once again wrong, would u respect Tae as a person? Would u honestly hold him accountable for misleading millions of fans with his words and actions or would u find ways to continue making excuses for him? I know that right now you cannot even imagine it but what if Jimin and Jungkook have been the real couple all along? Would u think Tae was a good friend to Jimin all these years? All you tkkrs who hate Jimin because u think he is a bad friend and a homewrecker, if we one day find out that jikook is real, would u redirect ur hate to Tae? Would u blame tae for all the things you blamed Jimin for all these years? What about Jennie? If we someday get concrete proof that tae was dating Jennie, how would u feel about the fact that he sat there and did nothing but fuel his taekook shippers while Jennie got hate every single day because of him? How would u look at him after he sat there and allowed his entire fandom to call that girl names and accuse her of using him for clout even though he was really dating her? Would u think Taehyung is a good person if all these turn out to be true? How would u explain the way he behaved sometimes when jikook interacted? I know that you and other tkkrs love Tae and you believe that he and Jk are a couple but lets be objective here. Tae started mentioning and focusing on talking about Jungkook alot immediately after those photos with Jennie hit the timeline. Now I’m not saying i know his intentions but let’s look at a few things. After May of 2022, we had Tae mentioning Jk on almost all of his lives and sometimes just mentioning him with no context. In June 2022, he did a live saying he would get his tattoo with Jungkook, and then he proceeded to upload a fake tattoo minutes after Jungkook posted his real tattoo. In November he did a live and said he was going to game with Jungkook. At the airport, he said he was supposed to travel with Jungkook, in January he went live and said Jungkook was there at his place gaming with him and his friends, in February he asked Jk to do an instagram live together, mentioned on live that he was going to do a karaoke Live with Jungkook, also mentioned that he was making plans to enlist with Jungkook, does many lives and mentions Jungkook’s names so many times, talks about a song Jk recommended to him (with sus lyrics), talks about Jk singing to him, talks about going to eat at Jungkook’s place, during his entire promotion, he talks about recording at Jungkook’s place, and didn’t give much context until Jk came and explained and gave better context. So Tae is close to his wooga squad too and other members of bts, but he never felt the need to talk about them as much as he spoke about Jk. So if if turns out that Tae was dating Jennie all along, how would you explain these actions of his?

This is just a hypothetical situation ofcourse but i would really love to hear how u would react and and how you will view tae as a person if it turns out that he was never in a relationship with Jk, actually dated Jennie and Jimin has been the one in a relationship with Jk all along. The truth is, everyone is speculating here and no matter how convinced you think u are of ur ship, there is always a possibility that there are certain parts of the puzzle that u missed so u couldn’t come out with the full picture. Think about this and let me know what you and your anons think. Who knows? Maybe in a not so distant future, so many people will be coming back to this ask when think take a completely different turn from what y’all are expecting.

Alright.. let's get the obvious out of the way: You are a Jkkr and you don't much like Tae. You are a very polite Jkkr, and you have read my blog so thanks for that, now let me talk about the way I love Tae.

Tae is my bias. I love al members very much, all of them have a special place in my heart, but Tae is the one who constantly touches me, who has made me realize things about myself, who makes me stronger (even at 41 years old). I feel close to him, because I feel he and I are the same in some ways.. in ways that matter to me. I have always struggled with feeling different. People just don't easily get me, while I always get other people. I have a difficulty making people understand the way my mind works. And I used to think that was my fault, that I was doing something wrong. I've been on a road to acceptance of my weirdness for a long time, and.. even before I became an Army, I was already doing pretty well. I had accepted my weirdness. What Tae brought me was a freedom to also enjoy my weirdness. When I look at him, I see someone who has had the same issues like me, but who is so wonderfull.. I started thinking... who even cares if someone is slightly different from the rest. It's uniqueness. And uniqueness means that some people might not understand you, but others might find you amazing. So that's what Tae means to me. I love how he's soft and cuddly and caring, but he's also sharp as a knife. Tae cares, he cares so much and everyone around him knows it... so why don't you anon?

There's little certainties in shipping. I know I might me wrong about Tae and Jk, but there's other certainties that I do have. I am absolutely certain that Tae and Jk are extremely close, that they love each other even if it's only platonically. I am also very certain that Jm and Tae love each other to pieces. I think fandom has been a thorn in their eyes at times because of the Tkkrs hate Jm and Jkkrs hate Tae issues. I do not think they like serious shipping very much because of it. SO when you aks me, what would I think about Tae if him and Jk are not dating.. I would still think of him the same. My reasons for loving Tae have nothing to do with Tae and Jk. That is just something I noticed, but I do not need Jm to be the bad guy in this story and that is something you have to work on anon.. because you cannot think of Tae kindly wjile also reconciling that with your ship... of which you also cannot be sure. You dislike Tae in favor of a ship that probably isn't real.

If Tae and Jk aren't together I would still think he talked about him that much because they spent so much time together. Tae doesn't talk about Wooga much because when he does a live he is talking to Army. Army knows Jk. Army asks about Jk. When Tae goes live he is constantly reminded of Jk. He talks about him more than other members because they spend more time together.

If Tae and Jennie were real (🥴) I'd think he just went through a toxic relationship that finally ended and was very happy afterwards. It's a weird take to have that he used Jk to hide his relationship with Jennie. Like.. point to the gay to hide a straight one? Maybe they shouldn't have called a pap when they were in Paris then?

I cannot imagine Jkk being real. I mean, to me those two are so much bro-friends I just cannot. There's too much standing in the way for me to think of that as a possibility. Even my hypothetical thoughts end up in me going "nope".

The way Tae behaved at times when Jk and Jm were Jkking is something I would have difficulty explaining if it turns out Tkk isn't real. Because that is odd to me. There's a sadness and an annoyance there that I cannot explain otherwise. I do not feel Tae blames Jm for this, those two are good. If there's feeligns of anger those feelings are for the situation as a whole. Fandom often forgets that members know each other way better than we know them. So Tae knows better what's in Jm and Jk's minds than we do. And that goes the other way around as well. I am convinced that Jm would hate the way you think of Tae, just like Tae would hate the way some Tkkrs think about Jm.

emwayne (emma x wayne): while I understand where the zemma shippers are coming from, I'm gonna have to say that I can see them as a pairing, but mostly I see zee and emma as friends than lovers. moving onto wayne and emma, I've seen a couple of rlly cute fanart abt them that roped me into rooting for them; also, I saw this tumblr post that talked abt wayne helping emma see that her and chase aren't right for each other bc of the break between bowie and emma's friendship; I thought it'd be cute that emma realizes what an actual relationship is supposed to be like based on the way wayne treats her and the two grow closer as he helps her come into herself more. overall, really cute pairing!!

chazee (chase x zee): okay, hear me out on this one. before the season came out, when all I knew abt everyone were those random pics of episodes, I remember wishing chase to be gay (or bi or smth that isn't straight or he realizes he's not straight while in the show) bc it'd break that stereotype which I thought would be cool--and I shipped him with zee like offhandedly, nothing extreme, just lowkey. like I thought their shipname was cute (chazee?? hello?? literally adorable?? and I've found out that ppl are calling them cheese now too and fdhdjf that just makes it cuter). then I started watching the season and got to know chase's whole personality, I was like 'ehhhh' and this pairing just...got shunted to the far corners of my mind. THEN I came across this freaking adorable fic of these two (it's this one!) that somehow converted me back to shipping these two??? then I started thinking up random scenarios involving the two and yeah imma say I adore these two. idk I feel like zee would be good for chase, like their way of viewing the world would be pretty helpful for someone like chase?? Thank you! I think the kissing picture was still awkward, like they definitely didn't kiss properly; his whole body language is so off in that picture. My "issue" with photographs is that they take only a fraction of a second. It's easier to pretend for a moment than to walk around and act like you're in love. What I mean is that for them, posing for a picture is so much easier than doing a pap walk. There are no other people around you, you can retake pictures. I think that's the reason why the Valentine's Day pictures and videos look a bit better.//

To me is very simple. I'm team PR because is so not Chris. I don't really care where or when they took those pics and vids. I look at the facts and see the leak of chemistry for the couple who have been together for almost 2 years now. But most importantly after anouncmemt article and proof in papa walk there is no silence. Just few days before outing he said he wants privacy and to keep relationship for friends and family. Buts that's not what we have seen. Constant article about them and then scary vid and now the Vday post. They have nothing to promote to make me think ok so her/his movie is coming out next week so they posting or been talk about cause they using their relationship for PR purposees. We seen that before with Hollywood couples.

Chris never behaved that way before with anyone he dated so I don't believe it's real. If it was I'm sure it would be the same as before. He would protect it. So I got kind of obsessed with the idea of a YasMoon songfic based on Wisconsin Ave by Kailee Morgue, where basically Yasmine secretly books a nice hotel room the night after her 15th birthday (so pre-show!) so she and Moon can have a night to themselves and finally be free to do whatever they want! I've mentioned it in previous posts, but I am like. VERY certain these two were messing around backstage during (and before) Season 1, and the idea is so JUICY that I sadly am coming up with plot bunnies about it faster than I can write them D:

I miss her skimpy little outfits tbh, the girl can have a redemption arc without having to dress "modest" like the good girls ;_____; Let her dress like a slut!!! In any case, Moon would absolutely see Yas spinning around in that dress in a pair of stylish platform heels and just be so fucking gone for her. I love imagining it as this sweet, blissful moment of butterflies in her stomach and the unique euphoria of young love...and then reality comes crashing down seconds later and Moon is like "oh, I am fucked." Because all they get is this one perfect night--one night to be themselves and love each other the way they want to and let loose and do whatever they want...and then they have to go home. They have to go back under the watchful eyes of parents and classmates and snotty neighbors and everyone else who they have to hide from.

And Moon has to wonder. What if this this little arrangement between--this affection limited only to where no one can see--gets to be too much for Yasmine? What if she starts wanting someone she can show off? Love in the open? Take home to her parents?

And she lives in that fear. She lives in the fear that Yasmine could snatch away everything they have on a moment's notice and leave her behind to pursue something a little less...complicated.

The other girls in their group sneer at her. They see how she looks at Yasmine. They know the admiration in her eyes go beyond platonic.

And they hate her, because she's the only one that Yasmine gives any of that back to. She's The Favorite. The right-hand Beta Bitch. Unquestionably second in their lunch table's pecking order. She calls the shots far more than any of the other girls are allowed.

Not that Moon feels the need to call shots. But it's still a privilege not afforded to the girls who throw snide, passive-aggressive comments her way.

It'd bother Moon more if Yasmine actually gave a shit. But their "friends" are irrelevant to the queen bee beyond how good they can make the table look to the rest of the school.

Harper Moreno confronts her one time. Corners Moon on the way to history class--a class she notably doesn't share with Yasmine.

Something she can get Aubrey or Jenna--probably hiding somewhere in a nearby crowd--to stealthily record and put on her Instagram story.

Something to bring her down so Harper can fill the now-vacant spot of Yasmine's second-in-command.

Moon isn't going to have it.

"You don't know me," she says coldly. "You don't know her. I matter to her in a way you don't."

It's a cruel thing to say. Yasmine would approve.

So much of what Moon does hinges on that these days.

Moon doesn't like the conniving smile Harper gives her. The way the other girl steps forward, putting only a few inches between them before leaning forward and hissing in her ear.

"It's all for nothing, you know. Your little crush. Yasmine will throw you away once she's done with you, just like she does with everyone."

As Harper saunters off, she throws one last sneer over her shoulder.

"I've known her since middle school, by the way. I've learned by now you don't get attached. Maybe you should wise up, too."

Most everyone else she talked to told her something similar. Her mom warned her away even more strongly.

"I went to high school with that type of girl too, Moonchild. They'll break your heart. Plain and simple."

But on the morning after Yasmine's 15th, looking at herself in a hotel mirror clad in Yasmine's clothes...

Moon has her doubts.

After all, it's not just any girl Yasmine invites for a private getaway in a luxury room. And if the loose Paris t-shirt hanging off her, the ruby ring still on her bedside table, and the bright red nail polish Yasmine picked solely to match Moon's are any indication...

Yasmine seems to have gotten pretty tangled up herself.

And something is shifting. The way Yasmine's sprawled out on the bed with her hair a rumpled mess on the pillows, drool trailing from her mouth...

It's imperfection she's never dared show before. Every past time she and Moon screwed around, one always fled before the morning came.

Now here Yasmine is, messy and flawed and laying it all bare for Moon to see. Trusting Moon with it.

It feels like the beginning of something.

Not the beginning of a "real" relationship. Moon isn't that naive.

Losers favourite types of movies:

Bill 🔪😱🩸: Thrillers and Horror. Depends on what mood he is in and whether he wants to think about what he is watching or just see some teenagers hacked apart. Also depends on who he can convince to watch with him. Stan outright refuses. Eddie will do it but yell and try to burrow behind him the whole time. Richie and Bev are always up for it and Mike and Ben are 50/50.

Eddie👨‍🔧🚥🔧: Action movies or more specifically: car movies. Those Fast and Furious movies are his jam. Nobody else particularly likes them but they watch them to see Eddie's cute lil excited face and how much he enjoys fawning over the cars.

Bev 💋🎥👗: Old Hollywood movies. She loves the costumes, the romance, the drama, the way they used to talk. And also how her boys tend to pick up mannerisms from them after watching them with her. Like kissing her knuckles in greeting, or waving her off from the front door step when she leaves for work, or telling her that she looks "simply divine".

Mike🕵️‍♂️✍📷: Murder mysteries or detective movies. He loves trying to work out the puzzles. Him and Ben especially love snuggling up watching a mystery movie together. They argue about clues and suspects and kiss between verbal sparrings.

Richie 🤣💩🖕: American comedies. His taste is not complicated, nor is it surprising. Toilet humour, slapstick, wacky circumstances. Deadpool is like his favourite movie ever. Followed closely by the Scary Movie franchise. Its usually Bill and Richie guffawing at these movies like a couple of bros.

Ben🧐⏱⚔: Loves a historical movie or a bio pic. He loves anything that is based on true events. Though he can be a little snobby because he will often read about the real events before seeing the movie. And he'll be the one whispering "actually that never happened" while Stan, Bev, Eddie (usually the ones watching with him) fondly shush him.

Stan❓❓❓: Who the fuck knows?! Stan is the ultimate wildcard. When asked his favourite movie genre he usually responds with "a book" and walks away. But he can be seen watching and enjoying all sorts of movies. From Shrek with Riche, to Saving Private Ryan with Ben to 2 Fast 2 Furious with Eddie. For Stan its more about the people he is watching with. And how he can subtly be close to them and watch them enjoying themselves without them noticing. Don't tell anyone though.

If I remember correctly, the fans were tweeting about how he will surely talk about her or she'll show up with him at Sundance. They've said this about everything he's attended and been to from the start. When it DOESN'T happen, they go off the deep end and attack anyone who said it wouldn't. They accuse those of us that see something a little 'off' about this entire thing of 'jealously', etc. and making a false narrative. Yet, it isn't those of us that look at this like it's weird making this 'grand love affair' out of a pic of a shoe, a like of a photo, and less than a handful of pics/sightings in closing in on a year. WE'RE not the ones talking about the sex lives of two people that haven't even actually CONFIRMED any sort of 'relationship'. It's not us that's talking about them moving in together bc AW has an interest in architecture & design. It's not us talking about how 'brave' AW was to facetime w Seb while he played Trump (like they even know that happened?) Thanks so much for diving into that document and finding those pics that specifically pertain to the AI stuff! Honestly, I'm probably gonna be combing through it myself over the next couple days to see what else I can dig up. Because god knows the AI inclusions likely aren't the only skeletons hiding in there.

BUT as for Webtoon AI Editor and Webtoon AI Curator... I obviously don't know what these are either, but I can take some educated guesses. Yes, this is highly speculative, so please do not take any of this as fact.

Webtoon AI Editor may very well do what the editors on Webtoons already do - scan for spelling and grammar errors, as well as violations of Webtoons Terms of Service. WT has allegedly already let go a bunch of editors on their sister app Yonder recently (and I've heard from some Originals creator pals that this has extended into the actual webtoon side of Webtoons as well), so I wouldn't be shocked if they developed this tool to further cull their numbers.

The reality is that "editors" on the platform often just serve as middlemen between the creators and the platform, very rarely doing the job of a traditional editor in terms of quality control. Many of them wouldn't even be able to go that extra mile of quality control even if they wanted to because so many of them are overseeing upwards of 30+ series at a time, which is completely absurd for any one person to have to do. So when the role is that watered down and simplified, it undoubtedly makes it easier to replace. That said, my best guess there is that Webtoons AI Editor will serve as both a spelling/grammar/TOS violation checker, as well as some kind of Google Gemini-like feature for creators to file questions with that the editors would normally pass on to the higher-ups on their behalf.

As for Webtoons AI Curator, this one's a bit more far-fetched because "Curator" is very non-specific, but I'm wondering if it's going to be some kind of compiling software for converting vertical format comics to page format? I'm not as confident in this guess as I am with the editor one, but knowing Webtoons and how little they're willing to spend in terms of their resources, I wouldn't be shocked if they were trying to develop a tool that would do the work of layout designers and book editors for their Unscrolled program.

Anyways, speculation aside, what is fact at this point is that Webtoons is adopting AI tools and we as creators have to do what we can to protect ourselves.

I can somewhat vouch for NamiComi, "somewhat" as in I've uploaded a few episodes of my work there just to test their uploading tools and they're fairly straightforward and easy to use. And for now, they don't seem to utilize any AI tools, so I think for now it's definitely safe to use if people are looking for more alternatives!

That said, I don't know how profitable the monetization programs are, but if it's like any other platform that promises monetization opportunities right out the gate, it's probably better to expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised if you get anything out of it. And I don't say that to be a dick to NamiComi, I just know how hard it is to really profit off webcomics on these platforms beyond just making some grocery money each month. It can be just as predatory - intentionally or unintentionally - to offer accessible monetization tools right out the gate as it is to offer exclusivity contracts because it sets people's expectations incredibly high for something that's traditionally not very lucrative. And this is something that goes for all platforms, not just NamiComi. Always always ALWAYS have backup plans for posting and/or monetizing!

Just a little bit of 'insider info' (and by 'insider' I mean I was a part of the beta testing crew a few years ago) Webtoons has been messing with AI tools for years. You can literally play test that very same AI tool that I beta-tested here:

Mind you, this is just an AI Painter, similar to the Clip Studio Colorize tool, but it goes to show where WT's priorities are headed. I should mention, btw, that this tool is incredibly useless for anyone not creating a Korean-style webtoon, like you can deadass tell it was trained exclusively on the imports because it can't handle any skin tone outside of white (trying to use darker colors just translates as "shadows" to the program, meaning it'll just cast some fugly ass shadows over a white-toned character no matter how hard you try) and you just know the AI wouldn't know what to do with itself if you gave it an art style that didn't exactly match with the provided samples lmao

And let's be real, can we really expect the company that regularly exploits, underpays, and overworks its creators to give a damn about the ethical concerns of AI? They're gonna take the path of least resistance to make the most money possible.

So the fact that we're now seeing AI comics popping up on Webtoons left and right - and now, an actual "Webtoon AI" branding label - should come as zero shock to anyone. Webtoons is about quantity over quality and so AI is the natural progression of that.

So yeah, if you were looking for any sign to check out other platforms outside of Webtoons, this is it. Here are some of my own recommendations:

ComicFury - Independently run, zero ads, zero subscription costs (though I def recommend supporting them on Patreon if you're able), full control over site appearance, optional hosting for only the cost of the domain name, and best of all, strictly anti-AI. Not allowed, not even with proper labelling or disclosure. Full offense to the tech bro hacks, eat shit.

GlobalComix - Very polished hosting site that offers loads of monetization tools for creators without any exclusive contracts or subscriptions needed. They do offer a subscription program, but that's purely for reading the comics on the site that are exclusively behind paywalls. Not strictly anti-AI but does require in their ToS that AI comics be properly labelled and disclosed, whether they're made partially or fully with AI, to ensure transparency for readers who want to avoid AI comics.

Neocities - If you want to create your own site the good ole' fashioned way (i.e. HTML / CSS) this is the place. Independently run, offers a subscription plan for people who want more storage and bandwidth but it only costs $5/month so it's very inexpensive, and even without that subscription cost you won't have to deal with ads or corporate management bullshit.

Be safe out there pals, don't be afraid to set out into the unknown if it means protecting your work and keeping your control as a creator. Know your rights, know your power.

Hey folks, I live in Seattle and up till a couple years ago I lived on Capitol Hill. I still have friends living there.  So I thought I’d provide some local insight into the CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone).

There is a lot of misinformation out there, especially from Fox News, which photoshopped a gunman into pics, wow.

First, the best resources to find CHAZ info are local to Seattle: The Seattle Times, Capitol Hill Blog, and the CHAZ livestream where you can see the streets for yourself.

Capitol Hill is a very densely populated neighborhood full of apartment buildings and bustling restaurants and bars. If you work there, you live there (because it is hard to navigate by car, like NYC), and if you live there, you are probably super liberal. It’s also the center of counter-culture and LGBTQ culture in Seattle.

Are the protesters terrorizing the locals?

No, the protesters ARE the locals. They live in the many, many apartment buildings on Capitol Hill.  Having lived there for years, believe me when I say “fuck the police” is a prevalent opinion there even when there isn’t a nationwide protest.

Is there looting?  How are businesses protecting themselves?

The businesses are not being looted; they are open and are doing a booming business. The supply chain hasn’t been broken so they aren’t running out of goods. Also, a lot of workers / business owners ARE protesters.

I saw a picture of Seattle on fire!

Actually you saw a picture of a protest in Minnesota that Fox News pretended was Seattle because they are frauds and shills.

How big is the Autonomous Zone?

Six square blocks.

How did this situation come about?

There was a peaceful march.  The mayor abruptly set a 5 pm curfew.  The protesters ignored it and marched anyway.  Then the police set up barricades to stop the march.  The cops started using tear-gas and flash-bangs and the situation devolved from there. (You can find videos of this on Capitol Hill Blog.)  What prompted the tear-gas was . . . one of the protesters thrust a pink umbrella over the barrier.  Yes, really.

The situation deteriorated for several days/nights running until the police abandoned the East Precinct on Capitol Hill. The violence was very one-sided: the police attacking the protesters.

Then the police left.  From what I heard the mayor ordered them out due to rumors or fears that the police station would be burned down? Which didn’t happen.  Anyway, they abruptly left.  As in, hired a literal moving truck and emptied out their headquarters, in almost a comedic beat.

Do you have to show your ID to enter the Autonomous Zone?

No.  People come and go freely.

What’s with the physical barriers then?

They’re to keep vehicles out. 

Backstory:  While the protests were ongoing, a guy (whose brother was an East Precinct cop) tried to ram his car into a crowd of protesters.  A brave man eating a hot dog threw himself at the side of the car, grabbed the steering wheel through the open window, and stopped him. Whereupon cop-brother-car-man shot him with a gun.

Personally I think cop-brother-car-man was planning a mass shooting because he had extra ammo taped to his hoodie sleeve. You can see the blue tape on his arm in the pic above. (The man who was shot thankfully survived.  Check out those brave medics tending him while an ACTIVE SHOOTER is standing feet away!)

But anyway, that’s why there are barriers. I believe they move them aside for approved vehicles, like emergency vehicles or deliveries.

Are there people with guns roaming around?

Not on a regular basis, although I’ve heard a local gun club had some members there one night when it was rumored the Proud Boys (a Nazi group) might show up.  (They didn’t.)  But in general, no.

Is it scary??

No.  The neighborhood is fully on board and overall there is a festive atmosphere.  There are speeches about BLM, about discrimination, about what people want for the neighborhood.  There are first aid stations, medics and counselors, and people offering free pizza.  If you watch the livestreams, you can see people walking their dogs, out with their kids, etc.

Where will this all end?

I don’t know.  The barriers can’t stay up forever and I think everyone knows that.  The “Autonomous Zone” name is tongue-in-cheek, the protesters aren’t actually trying to secede from the United States.  The point of all this is to force the city to listen to the people in the neighborhood, to enact change.  This is a boiling over of frustration.  The police have never been good-faith neighbors on Capitol Hill.  And Seattle police have always been pretty racist and had a problem with excessive force.

Look at this whole situation.  All the police had to do was stand back and let the protesters march; they would have marched and gone home and that would be that.  All the police had to do was nothing.  Instead they turned a neighborhood into a warzone.

By the way, did you know that yesterday (6/12) in a different Seattle neighborhood 60,000 people marched to support BLM?  And because the city had learned its lesson about dumbass curfews, they let everyone march and nothing bad happened.

Weird how the national news didn’t report on that march, huh?  Almost like they cherrypick the protests that will appear “scary” to their audience.

A blessing in winter and a curse in summer...

Hates taking selfies, or those cutesy couple pictures Asmo bothers him with. Belphie just doesn't see the appeal, and most of his social medias are completely blank due to his proficient lack of interest. That being said, he may or may not have a secret Devilgram account on which he uploads pics of you sleeping-

It's his guilty pleasure, one may say. Except that he doesn't feel guilty in the least. Be glad he keeps the really good ones in his secret folder rather than uploading them.

100% that one guy to suggest a movie night with the most scary, gross or kitschy films only to fall asleep 15mins in, leaving you to suffer on your own. Has the nerve to whole heartedly insist you two do it again sometime.

Can be convinced to go anywhere and do anything you like. Seriously. He will huff and puff and resist but once you learn how to push his buttons it's game over for him.

Tends to rope you into trouble you previously had no part in. In all fairness though, he will take the blame, even if you did do something. At the very least he'll be stuck in punishment with you; isn't he just the biggest romantic? Does sitting through Lucifer's three hour speeches count as a date?

Belphie keeps a picture of you, Beel and him with him wherever he goes. Always. It's one of his most precious possessions and his lucky charm as well as his remedy for when lovesickness numbs him so.

Hay Lin never actually saw her grandmother Yan Lin in person, only heard stories from her dad (very few stories, to be honest, but they were really sweet, okay!), and she wanted to meet her so badly! But her dad kept saying it's impossible and never elaborated. Until one day he just came back home all sad and told his mother had passed away. There were just three of them at the funeral - Hay Lin and her parents. The evening after the ceremony Hay Lin lingered at the cemetery, mourning a person she wished she knew... this was then he showed up. The Noah. Eeringly pretty young man with long silky hair and compassionate smile. "My friend Millenium Earl," he said, "grows magical roses, that can bring back those taken by your cruel God. Take this little seed, and it will grow into a new body for your grandmother. Just call upon her soul - and she will come back for you. Isn't it wonderful?"

And then very real very alive Yan Lin interrupts this sales speech.

Yan Lin has been an exorcist since she was a teen and made herself a reputation for finding and recruiting new exorcists for the Black Order. To be honest, now she is one of the last two people who actually take and train pupils (most marshalls are already dead, and Kadma... well, while still remaining the part of the Order and looking for new exorcists, she haven't shown up in the Headquarters for like four years straight). Being that valuable as a marshall, she wasn't actually allowed to keep in touch with her family - not only because The Council (and the infamous inspector of the Central Agency Luba known for being the most harsh and rigid of them all) would get mad, it's just too dangerous for her family. So she left her son wiht her husband and only visited them from time to time, in secret... and now, right after fending off very suspicious flock of rhino looking lvl 2 akuma, she came to oversee her own fake funeral - her latest and most desperate attempt to divert her enemies attention from her family.

And look - some Noah kid is trying to sell an akuma seed to her grandchild! What a scam!

Of course it's going to be Cedric who does all the actual job of hanging akuma\whisperers seeds to people.

The Earl of Millenium gave him a portion of his powers for this, as Earl himself is quiet asocial and isn't going to do this until his life literally depends on it. He doesn't even like being the Earl - collecting the family, leading them and such, he is not even that happy about ending the world. Mostly because he doesn't like the idea of following the fate layed out for him by previous reincarnations (but the part about punching god in the face is still alluring). He likes his akumas though, so he spends most of the time in the garden, letting Cedric run around as his mouthpiese while supervising him through akumas eyes.

It's also Cedric who holds annual family dinners (the Earl rarely attends, almost never) and looks after family members - there are not much of them, he still needs to find the others. He has to! He can't deal with Ludmoor alone anymore, and Frost is usually away at field job killing somebody.

Phobos is not a good Lord Millenium. Not because he neglects his job and delegates most of it to Cedric and other Noah, it's fine really as long as it is still done. He feels like he is incomplete. Like he lacks some of the power he supposed to have. Like the Earls suite is too big for him alone. Sometimes he dreams looking in a mirror - the reflection shows him a shade, much smaller than him, a black shade of a girl with a sinister white smile. Sometimes she has a crown. The Earl hates the girl, but it seems like he needs her to be whole again.

Running away after that humiliating failed deal with Yan Lins girl - as an afterthought, it should be pretty obvious that Frost couldn't kill a marshall yet, but his confidence was kind of contagious - Cedric finally met a girl he was looking for. He couldn't miss the familial resemblance between her and the Earl, same eye shape, same hair, same skin color... but she was reeking of Innocence - she was not a Noah, was she? For now Cedric had to run, Yan Lin might change her mind and chase him, no, thank you, but maybe - just maybe he could spare couple of minutes to say hello. The Earl surely wouldn't be angry enough for electrocution if Cedric could get him at least some good news, eh?

yes, Earl knows one of his akumas got stolen by the Black Order. He was informed that their science department managed to reprogramme it, so now it doesn't follow Earls ordres and doesn't want to kill people. It even chose a name for itself. Earl doesn't really care. It was a faul flower from the start, why bother. And he can always destroy it whenether he feels like it. Let exorcists think they won this time.

Innocence as a wearpon, as a power(?) is unforgiving. You let doubt crawl in your heart, you misstep - and it deems you unworthy and turns on you. That's how Nerissa has fallen. Nobody talks of why she had betrayed her friend Cassidy and tried to claim the Cube (if you ask Yan Lin, she'll just say that Nerissa needed answers... and what she got in the end was far beyond what her mind could handle), but everyone knows the result. Their fight destroyed lower levels of the Headquarters, got Cassidy killed and her Innocence shattered. Nerissa didn't even have time to regret it. Her own Innocence turned against her, overtaking her body and creating a Fallen One. Whatever happend next, is still heavily classified. What is also classified, is Nerissas malformed body, kept in stasis for decades now, hidden deep underground, within a giant glass tank for Science division to study, protected from unwanted eyes by metal doors and Inspector Luba herself.

Who knew it would be Lubas own actions what breaks the containment procedures.

Brothers With A Shy GN!MC (Headcanons)

Lucifer

He wanted to start taking you with him to his meetings with Lord Diavolo. You were important to him, just as Lord Diavolo was, and he liked having the two most important people in his life in the same room. Plus, having you there would help make him feel a little less stressed and way less overwhelmed by the way that Lord Diavolo acted.

Walking to the castle was one thing, his fingers slid between your own and holding your hand tightly. He could have just zapped the two of you to the castle, but he really enjoyed the calm, quiet walks he had with you. When the two of you got to the castle, he didn’t even realize at first that you were slowly inching your way further and further behind his back. Barbatos wasn’t exactly scary, he just gave off this… vibe… it was hard to put your finger on.

Once Lord Diavolo came out though, that’s when he noticed that his arm was now completely bent behind his back, as were you, and you were holding his hand so tightly, if you were any stronger you’d probably cut off the circulation in his fingers.

He held up his finger to Lord Diavolo, silently asking for a second so that he could talk to you in private, pulling you to the side and out of earshot of everyone else in the room. His smile was soft and warm as he listened to you, nodding slowly and thinking of ways that he could make this easier for you.

“If you’d like to go back to the house, I absolutely understand, dear. I wouldn’t mind keeping you on my lap though, if that would make you feel better. Whatever makes you comfortable, I’ll do it for you.”

Mammon

You were unsure whether he was capable of being shy. It would probably be strange for someone like him to feel that way. He was a model, he was in magazines, he had photoshoots lined up for the next year and a half. You never questioned whether he felt that way because he never gave you a reason to. He was outgoing, boisterous, and easily excitable.

His modeling gigs were a big thing for him, something that he wanted you to be a part of as well. Not in front of the camera obviously, well, unless you wanted to be in the pictures with him. The main reason he didn’t want you to be in the magazines with him though is because he didn’t want any other demons looking at you. Not that he’d ever have to worry about that.

He walked into the warehouse with you, the lights were bright and everything was… so much… It was a lot to take in. You didn’t know how he could possibly handle that at all, so much attention, it seemed scary. Showing you around wasn’t bad, but then he started introducing you to people and you couldn’t handle that. You slowly moved to stand behind Mammon, holding onto his shirt and trying to hide your face in his back. He turned around to look at you, kind of confused with the way you were acting. Your voice was low and timid as you explained and his eyes went soft as he started dragging you towards the exit.

“I didn’t know yer that shy, babe. I wouldn’ta pulled ya out here if I did. We’re goin’ back home, I didn’t need those pics anyway. Come on.”

Leviathan

If there was anyone as shy as you were, it was Levi. The guy hated leaving the house and being in public settings as much as you did, but when it came up that he was meeting with a couple of the demons that he played online with and he wanted you to come you almost choked on your water.

Of all the brothers, you never once expected that he’d be the one who wanted you to go out and be around people that you didn’t know at all, like, not even one little bit. You had heard him talk to these people so many times, but you didn’t know one thing about them, and now you were supposed to sit at a restaurant with like, five of them and stay the entire time? You were already slightly panicking just at the thought of it.

You were practically shaking as the both of you walked up to the restaurant, scooching further and further behind Levi until you couldn’t be seen by anyone in front of him, and hopefully by none of his friends either. He took a second to look around the restaurant, spotting his friends who all waved in his direction, and then he looked beside himself only to see that you weren’t there. Mini panic attack, but once he sees you behind him he lets out a sigh of relief, shoving his hands in his pockets while looking back and forth between you and the table full of his online friends.

He didn’t waste a minute, shaking his head to his friends before walking back out of the restaurant with you next to him instead of behind him.

“I didn’t want to be there either. We’ll order Akudonalds… marathon an anime, alright? Just the two of us. We’re never doing something like that again.”

Satan

Interacting with people was such a hassle, and he felt like he lost half of his IQ points whenever he had to even be around any other than you and certain brothers that he can actually tolerate. That’s why when Lucifer told him about some silly formal event at Lord Diavolos castle, he did everything, literally everything to try to get out of it.

Much to both of your disappointments, there was nothing either of you could do to not go. To Satan it sounded lame, and to you, it sounded absolutely awful. Having to get dressed up and be around a bunch of people, a bunch of demons who probably didn’t like you in the first place because you were a human. Nope, it sounded like a nightmare and you’d very much like to take a sick day and just not go.

The both of you walked into the castle, arm in arm. The main foyer was already packed with demons dressed in their finest, and even if they weren’t looking at you, it sure as hell felt like they were. It was hard to move behind Satan's back with the way your arms were connected, but that didn’t stop you from unhooking your arm and moving behind him anyway. You didn’t want to be looked at by anyone but him, and now he was definitely looking at you.

Explaining to him was easy, and while he obviously cared about how you felt right now, it was also a great excuse to get out of there.

“I promise, when we get back to the house, we’ll sit by the fire in the library, and I’ll read to you all the books you want me to. But first…thank you for this wonderful reason to not have to be here. Let’s go.”

Asmodeus

The two of you were polar opposites in the social department, and while most people would think that would be a problem, it was actually really nice. You balanced each other out, and he was always mindful of how you felt in social settings.

Taking walks with him wasn’t something that you could do often considering he was a high profile demon, basically celebrity status. On the very rare occasion that you could walk together down the streets of the Devildom, he and you took full advantage of it. You knew that you didn’t have a lot of time to enjoy it though, there would always be the one fan who would cause a scene, and then a mob of other demons would start running in your direction and he’d quickly have to get you home. It wasn’t all that bad, but it did become irritating and having that many people come at you at once was always a nightmare.

This walk was no different, and as soon as you saw the first demon, heard the first squeal, you shifted yourself to stand behind him, squeezing your eyes shut and waiting for it all to end. You felt his hand reach back to grab your own, comforting you as he dealt with the fans that had circled you.

He turned to you as soon as they were dispersed, smiling sweetly at you as he brushed his thumb across your cheek.

“Perhaps next time we’ll take a stroll through the garden instead. How does that sound, my love? Just the two of us, under the stars… I’ll pick your outfit and everything! We’ll both look beautiful!”

Beelzebub

Being the center of attention wasn’t a big deal to him, it neither made him happy or upset him. His ability to focus on something that was most important to him and completely ignore the world around him was a gift, one that you wished that you could obtain.

His favorite places were either being with you and Belphie, or being at the gym, and he came up with the sweetest idea that instead of having his two favorite things at two different times, why not just bring his favorite people to his favorite place?! To him it was the best idea he’s ever had, but to you it was the craziest thing you’ve ever heard. The gym? With a bunch of other demons? Demons who might look at you? Absolutely not. You were still adjusting to being with Beel in the same room as Belphie when it was movie night… and you knew the guy!

Of course, you loved Beel, so you weren’t going to turn down his offer, especially since he seemed so happy about it. It wouldn’t hurt to test the waters a little bit, try to get used to things. No harm in trying… right? Wrong. As soon as you got in, everyone in the place came up to Beel, asking him about weights and spotting and a bunch of other gym things that you couldn’t even focus on because the only thing you could hear more clearly than their words was your heart pounding in your chest.

He could see you move behind him out of the corner of his eye and he felt bad… he felt really bad. He didn’t even question you until he got you out of the gym and back to the house.

“I’m sorry, honey… I’ll have a rest day, and I’ll spend it here with you. We can have snacks and movies, or we can just… snuggle…? Would you like that?”

Belphegor

This man hated being out in public probably more than you did. Not because he was particularly shy, he just hated people that weren’t you or Beel. It was a logical reason, one that you understood, and you didn’t blame him for it. You’d much rather stay in the attic with him all day than have to actually face anyone.

His brothers had different plans for the both of you, and by his brothers, it was just Mammon who wanted to spend time with his little brother. You were all for staying home while Mams took Belphie out, but he refused to let you stay home. If he had to leave the house, so did you. Neither of you were happy about it, but Mammon seemed so excited, and Belphie found out that he didn’t have to pay for anything, so it might actually be worth it… might. He’s not banking on it.

Apparently there was a fair going through the Devildom and Mammon thought that it would be something that Belphie would like… all the noise and lights and… He actually thought it was something that Belphie would enjoy. It’s the thought that counts though, and Mammon really wanted to spend time with Belphie so you couldn’t hate the guy for trying by good god the place was packed. It was awful, and it was loud, and there were people everywhere. It was a nightmare on steroids, the only thing worse would be having to make a public speech in front of all these people.

You didn’t just hide behind Belphie’s back, you got behind him and wrapped your arms as tightly around him as you possibly could, not wanting to get swept away in the sea of people. What better way than to become a statue in the middle of the walk way? He chuckled softly, patting your hands as he called out to Mammon to tell him he was going home before turning around and walking leaving the fairgrounds.

“Don’t change. Never change… and go with me everywhere my brothers force me to go… okay? I really like having you around.”

Aftermare Week 2022 - Day 1 - Greetings

So, I've been thinking on making my own child for this ship a couple time ago, but my lazyness just let me actually create them now lol

Rose is Geno and Nightmare's 2 years old kid (even though they dont really young like that in the pic above lmao). Their parents decided to not to call them by "he" or "she" because they want them to be free to choose which gender identity they are more comfortable once they are older.

In my Aftermare timeline, after Geno and Nightmare got married, they planted a rose apple tree to be a symbol of their union. The seed eventually grew into a huge tree, and sometimes they would spend their time under it (reading, napping, singing... whatever you can imagine).

When the time of the tree give fruits arrived, it only had a single fruit on top of it. That fruit seemed to never get ripe, so it was just left there. One day, though, Geno and Nightmare heard screams coming from the tree. Where the fruit was supposed there was a baby.

They rescued the baby and wondered who were the parents of that kid. Dream, when looking at the baby, pointed out how much it looked like them.

It actually turned out the baby was theirs, heh.

The baby got named after the tree they came from, "Rose". It also was a beautiful name for a baby.

Since Rose is still a baby, there isn't much to tell about their personality and likes, but:

- They love reading with Papa. Is also very curious about things.

- They also really like napping with Dada. He is very warm!

- Incredibly they already know how to climb trees. How did they learn that even their parents don't know.

- Likes to call Uncle Dream "yellow man". He doesn't like the nickname, but Rose adores to call him that so he will stay shut.

OBS: When they were a newborn, Rose was really afraid of Dream. They thought the strange yellow guy with that warm smile was scary. They just wanted to hide in their dada's jacket. Dream got emotionally hurt from those first encounters qwq
