“What looks better? Pearls or Diamonds?” you ask and hold up two pairs of earrings.
“Diamonds. It matches the sparkles on your dress.”
“Thanks.”
Arendella watches you slip on the subtle sparkly dress for tonight’s dinner with the royal family. You slip on the earrings and fix your hair to give it more volume. Thor better melt when he sees you because you look hot.
“Do you think going to this dinner is a good idea?”
“I have to go. It’s for his parents. They’re getting on his ass about being in a steady relationship before he gets to be crowned King.”
“You’re okay with this arrangement still?”
Your mistake is hesitating before answering her. She raises one eyebrow and you turn away from her so you don’t see the judgement in her eyes.
“Yes.”
“Have you told him how you felt about him?”
“It doesn’t matter, Del,” you sigh. “It’s all fake anyway.”
Arendella gets up and walks in front of you. She pushes some of your hair back behind your shoulders and makes you look better.
“Trust me, it does matter.”
“Not when it comes to him. He’s only doing this for one reason and one reason only: his parents. He wants to be King. That’s it.”
“One of these days this whole thing will blow up in your face.”
“It won’t be tonight.” Your doorbell rings and you look out the window to see the car Thor’s parents sent for you. “That’s the car. I gotta go.”
“Have fun. Tell me everything tomorrow.”
Arendella is right. You wish you could tell Thor just how much he means to you. In the beginning, this was purely a business relationship. Date Thor to get his parents off his back while he continues to do what he does best. His mother told him that in order to be King, he must be in a relationship with someone who is wife material. He saw you walking by the castle and decided you were going to play the part.
It was nice to be treated like royalty with riches beyond compare, eating out in fancy restaurants, wearing nice clothes, and meeting all sorts of people from different Worlds across the Nine Realms. It was a good thing because you got to play the doting girlfriend every so often when his parents were back on Asgard.
However, the time more you two spent together, the more you saw Thor for the man he is. You allowed yourself to fall for him even though you promised yourself you weren't going to do that. You’ve been playing the part for so long that you want to be in the role permanently. Maybe Arendella has a point. Maybe tonight is the night you come clean to Thor about your feelings for him.
His parents are hosting an important dinner with the other royal families of the Nine Realms excluding Midgard (Earth). There are so many rulers on Earth that it would be a hassle to get them all. Thor thinks that he is going to be announced as King tonight which is why you’re going.
You meet Thor outside with a smile. He pulls you into a hug and rubs your back in comfort. You’re not used to this kind of behavior from him since he’s usually at a distance from you. You hear the camera clicks from onlookers nearby and you understand why he’s being so affectionate toward you.
He opens the car door for you and allows you to go inside first, and he quickly follows. As soon as the doors are closed, he’s back to being cold Thor. He only cares about one thing and that’s to be King. He’ll do anything for it… and you though Loki was bad.
“Is your whole family going to be there?” you ask.
“Yes.”
He takes out his phone and smiles as he texts someone. Earth has had such a huge impact on Asgard. Since returning from it, Thor has brough over cell phones, WiFi, cars, and other modern things.
“Is what I’m wearing okay?”
“You look fine,” he says without looking at you.
The hint he’s giving you is received. You decide to look out the window because you’re afraid if you stare at him, you’ll start to cry. The car gets to the castle, and you and thor walk hand-in-hand through the big golden gates. Frigga and Odin wait in the foyer eagerly for their son’s return.
“Lady Y/N! It’s so good to see you again,” Frigga smiles and brings you into a hug.
Odin stands next to her as stoic as ever and Loki is only there because he has to be.
“Frigga. It’s good to see you, too,” you smile.
“Come, the others are waiting.”
Thor, Odin, and Frigga walk off together, leaving you and Loki behind. Loki knows something is up between you and his brother but he’s not entirely sure. Though, when he sees him not even pay attention to you, he’s closer to his theory.
“My brother is an idiot if he doesn’t realize who he has on his arm.”
“Thanks?”
“Just saying. You’re worth more than that oaf.”
The dining room is filled with royal people and their bodyguards. The dinner starts off without a hitch, and you find yourself actually enjoying the presence of everyone. You look over at Thor to see him with a huge smile on his face as he tells his stories from battle. Sif is next to him with a big smile on her face as she adds in her own feats.
Thor is in a good mood. You decide that you’ll tell himhow you feel when the dinner is over with. Toward the end, Odin stands up and grabs everyone attention.
“As you all may know by now, I am nearing the end of my reign as King of Asgard. In my place shall be my first born, Thor. I have no doubt that he will make an excellent King. Please treat him as such.” Odin turns to Thor who smiles at him. “My dear boy, there will be many things you will need to do once you become King, but that may not start until you have become successful in your relationship.”
“We want you two to get married here tomorrow,” Frigga interrupts happily.
“What?” you say and look at Thor.
“You need a Queen to rule by your side,” Frigga says. “What better way than to have the wedding here with everyone in attendance?”
You have to keep up the facade while you’re in a room full of royals, so you place your hand on Thor’s muscular shoulder.
“We would be honored.”
“A toast, then.” Odin raises his glass and everyone follows suit. “To Thor and Y/N.”
“To Thor and Y/N!” everyone repeats.
You’re too busy thinking about the thought of marrying Thor to enjoy the rest of the dinner. Arendella would have a field day if she knew this is happening. At the end of dinner, Thor is trying to escort you out of the castle so he can talk to his parent privately but Frigga interrupts his plans.
“You must sleep over here tonight. You and Thor can have the big bedroom.”
“No, Mother, she needs to go home.”
“Nonesense! Please? It’ll be better for all of us if she stays here tonight.”
Thor and Frigga look at you with two very different looks. Thor looks like he doesn't want you here but Frigga lokos hopeful. You smile tightly and nod in agreement.
“One night won’t kill us.”
“I’m glad. Follow me.”
Thor hangs back slightly so he can talk to you as you follow his mother to the room you’ll be staying in.
“I thought you wanted to go home.”
“It’s one night, Thor. Plus, you need to talk to them. They think we’re getting married. I think we should talk.”
“Please, if you need something, don’t be a stranger. Odin and I are right down the hall and Loki is across the way.”
“Thank you, Mother, but I think we’ll be fine. I’ll see you and Father in the morning.” Thor kisses his mom on the head and she leaves you two alone. When the door closes, Thor becomes a different person again. He grabs one of the pillows and a blanket from the bed. “You can have the bed.”
“Where are you going to sleep?”
“The couch.”
“Thor, I think you’re being a bit dramatic. It’s just a bed, and we’re only going to be sleeping. Is being next to me so bad?”
Thor takes a moment too long to think about this.
“I guess not.”
Thor takes the right side of the bed while you take the left, and you get into bed next to him. It’s a nice California King bed with a lot of space, and he’s taking advantage of the fact that he doesn’t have to be near you.
“Thor, can we talk, please?” you whisper.
“Y/N, please go to bed. It’s late.”
The silence between you two is deafening. This should be your answer. He doesn’t want to talk to you. He doesn’t want to be with you. Maybe you’re doing yourself a favor by not saying anything. Or maybe he’ll realize what an amazing woman you are once you two are married. Regardless, you stare at his back until you fall asleep.
When you wake up, Thor isn’t besides you in bed. You sigh and grab your phone to see what time it is.
Tell Thor how you feel or else you’ll regret it.
You ignore the message from Arendella and fet up for the day. You get dressed in the clothes Frigga had laid out for you and walk aimlessly around the castle. She is inside the kitchen with a chef who is cooking her breakfast.
“Ah, Y/N, good morning.”
“Good morning. Where is Thor?”
“He’s out with Odin. They should be back soon. Are you excited?”
“For what?”
“Your wedding day, of course! I have a bunch of things planned for us to do. First, I want you to have breakfast and rest.”
“You’re too kind to me,” you smile and sit at the table.
“I’ve always wanted a daughter,” she winks at you.
Her knowing the secret between you two is going to break her heart. She has been nothing but kind to you since you first started dating Thor, and you don’t know if you have the heart to tell her the truth.
Thor and Odin return within the hour but neither of them look happy. Odin goes straight to Frigga without so much as a look at you so he can talk to her privately.
“Thor, I really need to talk to you.” Thor gestures for you to follow him so you do, but you frown when he keeps walking instead of stopping to face you. “Listen, I don’t even know how to say this, but--”
“This isn’t working out,” he cuts you off.
“What?”
“I came clean to my father about us. He knows the relationship is fake.”
“Why would you do that? Don’t you want to be King?”
“I found someone else,” your heart cracks with every word he says, “someone who I love. Thank you for what you did but you’re no longer needed.”
And now your heart is on the floor in pieces.
“You’re done with me? Just like that?”
“I’m sorry for how this is ending.”
Thor doesn’t see any use in stickin around so he retreats to a different part of the castle. You’re standing in the middle of the hallway almost in tears because the man you love has tossed you on your ass. He decided you aren’t worth anything anymore, that he’s done using you, and is now not interested.
Things started off as fake but your feelings for him are very real. Would it make a difference if he knew you how in love with him? Doesn’t matter now. You’re sure that he maybe started to feel something for you, or maybe was all in your head. Either way, you’re all alone now.

Hey!! I have a request for you!
So I'm thinking you work at shield and have to show Loki and Thor around since they are new. You always crack terrible jokes when you are nervous but Thor finds you hilarious and even Loki admits some of them are fairly clever (high praise coming from him). You realize they've never heard most of the recycled jokes or puns you used and decide to take advantage of that.
Tower Tour for Two
Pairing: None
Warning: Puns, word play, wit, shenanigans, dad jokes, and all around foolery
Summary:
All new personnel to SHIELD need to know where to go from day one. The best way to do that is through a tour. The Asgardian princes were no exception. With no crisis in need of their participation, the two are set up with a guide that keeps them on their toes.
Author Note:
I am so sorry for the delay in answering this request! I wanted it to be absolutely perfect! Furthermore, I do hope you like this, and it lives up to what you were expecting from the shenanigans between a punderful Y/N and the two austere princes of Asgard! Also, I completely made up the floors and numbers based off an image @vbecker10 showed me.

“Tell me again why we are being subjected to this ridiculous obligation of needing some nanny around the compound?” Loki let out an exasperated sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose. None of this seemed to quite add up to him. Thor has been part of this team for some time now, and they had never thought of something so trivial. However, when they decide to accept me this is suddenly something mandatory? I find that highly suspicious.
“It is because they wish to give us a proper introduction. With all the emergencies that happened and my frequent leaving to Asgard, there was no real time for this to come about. With you being newly accepted, they thought it wise that the two of us go through it together. Better than having to waste time setting up two separate sessions.” Thor chuckled at his fifth repetition. He knew his brother was not forgetful, he was simply trying to find a loophole out of this. “It is a simple tour, Loki. It will be done sooner than you’re making it out to be. It is not like they are giving the grand tour of the Asgardian castle.”
“If this place were remotely as big, I would have done everything in my power to make sure this never came to pass.” Loki scowled. “It is not the size of the facility that concerns me, it is the ridiculous notion that they think we are incapable of learning where to go.”
“Ah, but they are taking efficiency into consideration. The time it takes for us to learn our way around will be drastically cut if we are given this tour. Which will increase the overall efficiency of how SHIELD and the Avengers will run. Precious time needed for missions and planning would not be lost on someone unsure of where to find the proper meeting room or attend some training session. You, above all else, know how important it is to be efficient.” The God of Thunder smiled at his brother, clapping a firm hand against his back. “You will see, this will be highly useful. The fact that they even are allowing you to know where everything is a huge sign of their trust as well! If they did not trust you, they would not take the time to teach you where everything is.”
That or they want to make sure I know where everything is. So that if I were to ever use the reasoning of being lost, they can remind me of this dreadful waste of time and accuse me of something sinister. The God of Mischief kept his skepticism to himself, not wanting to dampen his brother’s mood. Though, he did wonder if there was something that could do such a thing. The thought of his feigned deaths suddenly came to mind, but he quickly pushed them aside.
“Well hello, hello!” A chipper voice greeted the two Asgardian princes from behind, the two towering royals turning to see a singular female SHIELD employee who was clearly far too excited to be here. The sunny disposition seemed almost illegal compared to the rigid and professional demeanor that were standard with all other SHIELD personnel. Perhaps this person was lost and was actually an experiment on happiness? Thor looked towards Loki with a raised brow, who raised both of his in response and shrugged, removing the burden of possibly knowing anything about this odd human. He was just as clueless, if not more so for actually being new, than his elder brother.
“Don’t everyone all talk at once now! Sheesh, have you never been greeted before? Talk about needing a lesson in manners.” She frowned.
“Pardon our rudeness, but are we acquainted?” Thor took the lead after another lengthy pause.
“Ah, the lord doth speaketh!” She gasped, the corner of Loki’s lip twitching as Thor slightly lowered his head as a sign of apologies. “We weren’t formally introduced, but you were both instructed to come here for the tour of the tower with me.”
“So you are Y/N?” Loki questioned, his intense gaze carefully observing to see if this was some sort of trap or test.
“Well, last I checked it was.” She glanced down at her name tag that was hung from the lanyard around her neck, a variety of novelty pins decorating the fabric. “Yup, still is.” He scowled at her attitude. “Do not worry, I understand, I am used to rendering people speechless.” She boasted with pride.
“Is that so,” Loki felt the prick of unease at the back of his mind.
“Yes, we have heard you are quite the guide.” Thor elbowed his brother at the look of mistrust that was on his face. “Rogers and the others have had nothing but positive things to say about you. However, we have jumped ahead without proper introductions. My name,” he tried to correct their rude beginning but stopped at her raised hand.
“No need, there’s nothing Loki about either of you, aside from his name anyway. I made sure to do a Thor-ough look into whom I would be guiding this morning.” As she grinned, Loki grimaced. That feeling of unease was not to be ignored.
“Clever,” the elder prince laughed at her wordplay. “Very well, by your lead, then.”
“Thank you,” she gave a small bow before stretching her arms out wide. “Foyer information, this is the foyer. To our left, through those double doors, is where SHIELD holds most, if not all, press hearings. Sadly, there’s no let-go room. I keep telling them we need it, how else is there going to be a release? Makes you think, what good is a hearing when they aren’t even listening.” She sighed.
“So that is why they are called as such? I always wondered why. They really should invest in such things, to hold on for too long is never healthy.” Thor nodded his head in agreement, while Loki felt his left eyebrow twitch. That feeling of unease had grown. Was it too late to turn back now? He eyed the front door behind them, measuring the distance and how long it would take him if he made a run for it.
“Aside from that room, there isn’t much else aside from the desk. The decor isn’t the greatest, but the reception is phenomenal.” She pointed to the reception desk as she walked towards the elevators. “Come along, we’ve gotta head to the next floor. Don’t mind the elevators, they have their ups and downs. I think we caught them in a good mood today.”
Dammit, I should’ve sent an image of myself. Loki clicked his tongue before straightening his back and turning to join the two. Thor was wrong, this was going to be a very long day. A tour of the castle would have been shorter. He feared for his sanity as they stepped out onto the second floor
“It’s pretty quiet right now, but it’s usually pretty busy. The second floor, here, up until the fifth floor, are all human relations. Though sometimes it can be a bit alien at times, they’re all definitely human and are pretty relatable for the most part. Though I don’t recommend them for any dating advice, they like to keep it professional.”
“As they should,” Thor once again agreed, and Loki’s eye began to twitch.
“And right you are, thunder boy!” She grinned, turning them back to the elevator as skipping straight to the sixth floor. Stepping out, this floor looked almost identical to the second one. The two looked around curiously for any differences before shifting their attention to Y/N who stepped forward and turned to face them. “So, as you can see, we’re all pretty square here with all these cubicles. Sixth floor to the tenth floor is where you’ll find the work stations of the agents and the offices for higher ranking staff. The agents are great and all, but some of these big wigs are walking economy lessons.”
“What do you mean?” The elder Asgardian asked before the younger could stop him. She was leading them in more ways than one, and he was not enjoying either direction.
“Well, you didn’t hear it from me, but their hairline is in a recession, their stomachs are always inflated like their egos, and the two together leaves everyone in a great depression.” She whispered, and Loki actually smirked. Perhaps she had some things of value to say. “I can’t really let you into anything here, private stuff and all that, so up we go!” She motioned them back to the elevators, where they went straight to the eleventh floor. “Alright, so here you might find things to be a little dull…because here until the twenty-first floor is none other than the boardrooms!”
I take back what I said, it was a rare moment of entertainment. Loki sighed as they followed her down a few halls, and she opened one of the doors.
“This is one of the larger ones, but each room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Holograms, interactive models, surround sound, and HD screenings! Sadly, the seating isn’t the best and only reclines so much. But other than that, you’ve got one fancy theater experience every time.” She grinned, Thor taking a seat in one of the chairs.
“They are quite nice though. But why are the tables bolted down?”
“So they can be well grounded.” She answered far too quickly, and Loki shook his head. “In all seriousness, it’s to avoid trouble. Tables are normally supposed to be movable furniture, but after the last few issues here with explosions and infighting, it was deemed safer to have them bolted to avoid anyone possibly getting hit by them. The chairs do move around, but when you tuck them in under the table, the arms magnetize to the table with a force that is fairly difficult to break if the room is not unlocked properly. If you noticed, when we entered I lingered at the entryway, that’s because I needed to let the room know it was in use, so the table would release the chairs.” She walked back towards the door and motioned for Thor to stand. He did as told, and she punched in a code where the lights shut off and the chair chairs all jerked up and a series of clicks were heard. “Now the room is set to lock when we leave.” She pushed the door open wider, Loki having noticed that she had cracked it open prior to punching in the code. “The other meeting room floors are similar to this one. The designs may be different from floor to floor in the sense that some have round tables while others have rectangular and possibly minor changes in screen size, but overall they are the same.”
“Things are quite secure here.” Loki noted aloud, curiosity about this strange SHIELD employee starting to grow in the back of his mind.
“I would hope so, they’re supposed to be the guardians of Earth. They’d be nothing but insecurities otherwise.”
“Well said, Y/N. You are quick-witted with your words, just like Hawkeye and Black Widow mentioned.” Thor praised her.
“Don’t encourage her,” Loki hissed at him as they got back onto the elevator. It was obvious he was clearly taken by her little tricks.
“Come now, brother, there is nothing wrong with giving due praise to a job well done. Perhaps if you were more forthcoming with your compliments as you are with your snide remarks, you would not be seen as such a cruel person, and they would finally see the brother I adore.” He implored, earning yet another scoffing eye roll. Y/N watched the two silently, pressing the button for the twenty-second floor. It was painfully obvious that Thor adored Loki openly, while Loki was more reticent in his affections.
The tale of the two mythological deities was known far and wide since their first arrival, and even more so since the infamous incident in New York. Much like the majority of Earthlings, she initially hated the younger prince for all the harm he had caused. The damage, despair, and devastation he wrought on them was nothing small and unforgivable. She never wanted to be left so powerless ever again, incapable of helping anyone. Thus, she embarked on climbing her way and successfully joining SHIELD. She was not able to work on the field as an agent, but she managed to secure a rather unique position where only a few were capable of managing. It was through this training and top level clearance that she became aware of many things, like the Mind Stone and how it perverted and polluted Loki’s insecurities and anguish. None of it justified his actions, but he became someone understandable. They were less out of reach, more relatable. They two were living and breathing with emotions like anyone else, not something above them.
I know they’re stronger than the average human, but they’re brothers like any other. Bickering siblings with opposite dispositions that adore one another. She smiled to herself as she stepped out before them. “Alright. From here up to the thirtieth floor is where the fun starts. You could say Stark was raving mad when he funded so much of the things here, but he’s lab hatter. All the tech and research goes on here. It’s a little sad that physicists and biologists don’t get along so well.” She let out a heavy sigh, Thor and Loki around before settling their eyes on here.
“And why is that? Trouble in paradise?” The second prince raised a well manicured brow. Y/N could only imagine the two were into grooming routines, and they were professionally done, otherwise it was cruel to every average woman out there just how perfect these two were.
“You could say that they lack chemistry.” She smirked at the slight scowl she earned from him. He had made such a big deal about feeding into her little games and walked right into one himself. He could see the shine of victory in her eyes, and he had to admit, it was well played. Not only that, but he would never admit to it aloud, of course.
“And what would be the importance of chemistry?” Thor wondered, not sure how that played between the two types of scientists.
“Well, it has all the solutions, and It is fairly good at bonding.” She added matter-of-factory, Thor nodding his head in agreement. “Yes, Jane and Dr. Erik did have trouble relating with others from time to time, perhaps chemistry was lacking.”
“No comet on astrophysicists,” she snickered as they walked through the halls and peered in through the windows. “All the glass here is highly reinforced,” she lightly knocked on one as they stopped at a random door. “I can’t let you in due to the nature of what’s inside and any experiments that may currently be in progress, but you can take a swing at the glass to test it out. Stark has made sure to improve after learning from any prior mistakes to minimize casualties. It’s Avenger and danger proof.”
“If Stark is involved, then there is no doubt that he has extensively worked on it for it to be so.” Thor proudly spoke of his companion, Loki curiously observing the window. He stepped closer, tapping on the glass and listening to the vibrations. It was a rather dull sound. It was a very dense and thick sheet.
The metal midgardian certainly enjoys his little trinkets and toys. I could simply use my magic to conjure myself into the room, however. What good is this resilience, then? He smirked, feeling that he may have bested the genius playboy philanthropist.
“You could try,” Y/N’s voice broke through his thoughts. “But that’s at your own risk. Like the other rooms here, you need to engage the room prior to entering, and these rooms are only allowed entry through specific key cards. If anyone were to find a way without this channel, they would have to deal with the security that would automatically be triggered. So, unless you have dreams of being Swiss cheese, I would disa-brie on any attempts of just appearing inside. Come along, up we go!” She turned on her heel and led them back up to their rectangular chariot. “Any questions so far? Comments, concerns, suggestions are all welcomed.”
“Nothing,” Thor shook his head. “You are going excellently and answer any of the questions before we even have time to even think of them. I can see why they praise you so highly among the other members.” He gave her a broad grin, and she smiled in kind.
“Well, I’m glad you’re enjoying it. This ain’t the most exciting thing you could be doing, believe me, I get it. So, I try to keep it short, sweet, and fun.”
“Fun for whom?” Loki muttered.
“Myself, I’m the one guiding you after all. Gotta help myself get through this just as much as you do.” She gave him a wink and laughed as he scowled. It was obvious they were both enjoying this for various reasons, so she chose not to tell him, she could tell this scowl was more forced than the others so far.
“Now, here are the floors that are worth the weight, the next five floors are about two floors each in height, they’re the gyms and rec rooms. From battle simulations in the VR to real word pumping iron, there is no bar too high in this place…well for you anyway.” She looked up at Thor and Loki. “For me, there are quite a few out of my reach. I won’t go into too much detail here, you’ll be scheduled for a fitness and analysis exam, so they’ll run you through the various simulations and fancy gizmos and gadgets then.” There was obvious excitement and interest in both the brothers' eyes, and she could not help the small snicker that came out as she led them up to the thirty-sixth floor. “We’ll keep it short here, mission briefs and observations happen on deck here. And you can look out the windows and observe a lovely view of the compound and city as well while you’re at it. This is one very wide floor.” She explained as they went to the far end where there was a lovely view of the city before heading up to the next floor.
“This is the not so common choice of a common area. Usually these types of floors are near the ground floor if not the ground floor itself. But, what’s common about superheroes and aliens as a whole?” She shrugged. “Here is where you’ll be able to relax between missions and training or simply don’t want to be in your room. The best part of this floor is actually over here.’ She grinned, a little speed in her steps as she led them to two rather ornate double doors. “This is a place you can always check out,” she slid her key through the reader and turned the knobs. Pushing the two doors open with great flourish to reveal a very grand library with a glass dome like ceiling, stairs leading to the four floors above and one below. “This is a place where I can't help my shelf and spend hours. But personal interest aside, you can bring beverages into the library, you just can't pour milk over the serials here. They’ve got all sorts of books here now that we know some myths are not so fictitious.” She pointedly looked at the two of them. “I know it’s pretty booked, but you can always leaf through as needed.
“And why would they have such a place at SHIELD?” Loki asked, taking a step forward, followed by another, and several more until he was in front of a shelf and pulling one of the leather-bound pages from it.
“Knowledge is key, and sometimes the old-fashioned way is the best way or only way. Like I said, things of lore are no more and not everything is metadata. Also, this is part of the floors where one can simply step out of the digital world and unwind. Can you imagine what the public would do if one of the eligible bachelors or bachelorettes of the Avengers was seen in the public library? We’d have mobs of paparazzi and feral fans trying to get their chance to be seen with them. There’d be no peace and quiet. Having our own mini library was the best solution. It does not have everything, but it helps minimize the need to go out and be seen frequenting a location. Villains and mosey people alike won’t set their sights on a place where the public is free to come and go.”
Thor walked over to his brother, pulling out another book and quickly skimmed through it. He was not as avid of a reader as his brother, but he knew and respected the importance of knowledge. This place would be very useful to the two who were not as technologically savvy as the Midgardians. Y/N watched as Loki slowly read the first few pages of the book he chose, while Thor skimmed through several books. He did linger on a few, looking at the title twice before returning it to its spot.
“Reading time will have to be another time. Once you get your key card, you have free access to the books here, and you can check them out with the librarians as needed. Come along, only a few more floors to go.” She promised, Thor grabbed Loki by the back of his jacket and forcibly dragged him a few steps before he replaced the book and reluctantly followed them out back to the elevators.
The brothers watched as she slid her card into a slot next to two rows of buttons and selected the number eight button in the second row of the two rows labeled as LQ. “This is where only certain personnel can enter. You both, other avengers, and some agents will be living here on the compound. As you can see, there are not that many floors, but each floor is similar to the gym and rec room floors in that each floor is two floors in height from eight to fourteen. The reason being is that eight upwards is where you and any other members of the Avengers will have a penthouse style apartment. Each is designed and decorated according to the specifications or desires of the occupant. No two rooms are going to be alike in details, but the basic blueprint will be the same for safety exits and code regulations. Floors one to four is where the agents that live here, guests, important visitors, and some time overtime employees will be residing. Floors five to seven is where their dining and entertainment will be. There is a mini theater, a large dining room kitchen with staff, and a mini library for them to spend their time. Their key cards will not allow them into your floor, but you will be allowed on their floors if you so wish. “
The doors of the elevator opened up to reveal a rather large hallway with only a few doors on either side. Floors eight to twelve will resemble this. As you can see, none of the doors look the same and have been customized to the comfort of the resident who stays in that space while here. The two of you will have your own apartments on the twelfth floor. On the thirteenth and fourteenth floor you will find similar amenities; a large state-of-the-art kitchen, fully staffed on request; a large dining area, personal theater, recreational activities such a bowling alley, billiards, and a private bar that has its own balcony facing the city. The last floor, the HQ floor, is where the leaders of SHIELD convene for their meetings and have their offices. I cannot allow you entry on that floor, so I will be leading you back down to the ground floor from here. And that is there is to say about this tower. Though we do have everything indoors, there are still many outside facilities on the grounds for certain activities. For example, large scale training or ability practice will take place in one of the various hangars and fields that are readily equipped and shielded from causing too much disruption in the building. Sometimes you may be flown out to more discrete locations to avoid unwanted attention as well.”
“They really have thought of everything.” Loki finally admitted to being somewhat impressed, mostly for the library. He and Thor silently mulled over all the information that was given to them. It was certainly a lot, and it became clear as to why they were put through the task. It was needed information, but also a warning that they would always be watched. Not just them as outsiders, but the Avengers as a whole were to be watched because they were a collective of beings that could single-handedly cause more trouble than any large scale militant group.
“Yes, they have, and that’s it for this personal tour. I do hope you enjoy your stay here at SHIELD. I wish you the best of luck always and success in your missions moving forward. Thank you for your time, enjoy the rest of your day.” She led them to the front doors and stepped out into the crisp air, the sun still in the sky. There was one fact that had consistently nagged at the back of their minds. A question they intended to ask, and yet never thought or had the chance to. Loki looked to Thor, who silently nodded his head.
“Y/N, what exactly is your position here at SHIELD?” She had access to every floor, detailed information, and knew where to say what and when. Only someone of high level clearance and trust would be privy to such, and she purposefully and expertly avoided the topic with thought-provoking information and clever words of misdirection. However, now was their chance. The two turned to face her. They would get their answers, but she was no longer there. In fact, there was no sign of her anywhere. Who exactly was Y/N. It was clear now, this was only the beginning for the two of them at the mysterious organization known as SHIELD.

First thing the next morning, you rush to Bruce’s lab again. You know he’ll already be in there, working away; he always is these days. This time you knock on the double doors, cracking one open and poking your head round to peer inside.
Bruce is sat at his desk, concentrating on the layer of papers spread haphazardly across its surface. The machinery that had been all over the floor the other day, is now gathered up in a heap at the side of the room. It looks no closer to being completed, whatever it’s supposed to be.
Bruce looks up when he hears you knock.
“Y/N, hey,” he says, smiling sleepily and pulling his glasses off his nose to rub a hand over his face. You’re judging by the dark circles under his eyes that he’s been awake all night. “Did you have any luck getting a present for Thor?” he asks, stifling a yawn.
“That’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about,” you say, hovering next to the door. “Is now a good time?”
He pushes his glasses back onto his face and starts shifting the papers around on his desk, tidying them into a messy pile.
“Er, yeah, sure.” He gestures for you to come in, frowning slightly.
“Don’t worry, I’m not here to pick your brains for ideas again,” you huff a nervous laugh and he looks relieved. “I was actually hoping you might be able to… help me find someone,” you say carefully.
“Oh,” he glances up from the papers in his hand, intrigued. “Who?”
You hover awkwardly in front of his desk and take a deep breath.
“Loki,” you say quickly, before you have the chance to convince yourself that this is a bad idea. “I need you to help me find Loki.”
Bruce stares at you for a moment in silence, his paperwork now laying forgotten on the desk. Squints his eyes slightly as if trying to figure out if you’re joking. He opens his mouth to speak, then closes it again. He lets out a huff of breath and shakes his head, baffled.
“You’re not serious?” he finally asks you.
You take a step closer.
“Look, I know this sounds crazy-”
“Yeah, it does,” Bruce cuts in.
“But, please, I didn’t know who else to ask,” you plead with him. You knew there was no way anyone else would ever agree to help you. Bruce was by far your best shot. He’d been there when Loki had helped Thor defeat Hela; he’d seen first hand that Loki clearly isn’t all bad.
“But why? Why in the Hell would you want to find Loki?”
His question catches you off guard and you stare at him. You’d thought your reasoning would have been obvious.
“For Thor,” you say simply.
“And you think Thor would want to see him? After everything he’s done?”
You have no doubt that he would.
“Loki’s his brother, Bruce, of course he’d want to see him.”
Banner gives a laboured sigh and takes his glasses off again, this time abandoning them on the desk. He leans back in his chair to look at you, his brow furrowed deeply.
“Y/N, look, Loki and Thor have a complicated past. That’s something that’s best not getting mixed up in.”
You get what Bruce is trying to say, but you can’t help but feel like he’s wrong about this. As if he can hear your thoughts, he adds, “Trust me, Y/N, it won’t end well for anyone. Loki’s brain is like a bag full of cats.”
“Well that doesn’t sound so bad…” you mumble quietly, in an attempt to lighten the mood a little; but when you meet Bruce’s eyes, they are serious.
In the awkward silence, you lean against the filing cabinet beside you and fold your arms over your chest.
“It’s just, Thor seemed so upset when we were talking about Loki yesterday. I really think he does miss him. I mean, how could he not? No matter what Loki may have done in the past, they’re family.” You look at him pleadingly. “And he’s the only family Thor has left,” you add thickly.
“If it were my sister… even if she had done all of the bad things Loki has, I would still want to find her. To know that she was ok.”
You had thought that Bruce was the person who knew Thor the best out of everyone at the compound, but now you can see you were wrong. It was so obvious to you that Thor was hurting over Loki and everyone else was so blinded by Loki’s wrong-doings that they couldn’t see it.
Bruce slowly stands and makes his way round to the front of his desk, sitting down on the edge closest to you. He seems torn.
“Y/N,” he says, hesitating. “I can’t help you. Even if I wanted to find Loki myself, nobody knows where he is. I’m sorry.”
There’s a sinking feeling deep in the pit of your stomach.
“You’re right. It was a stupid idea.” You sit down on the edge of the desk, beside him, and hang your head.
He sighs and reaches over to reluctantly touch your arm. You glance down at it in surprise.
“No, it wasn’t, Y/N. You were trying to do a nice thing for Thor, because you love him. That’s not stupid, that’s beautiful.” He smiles reassuringly at you then takes his hand back. “Even if it was trying to reunite him with his homicidal maniac of a brother,” he adds. You both huff a laugh.
A moment passes in silence and you consider getting up to leave. You glance at Bruce to see him pulling a face, as if he’s struggling to make his mind up about something. He catches you looking at him and seems to cave.
“Look,” he says, pausing to glance at you again as if he’s already regretting saying anything, “But, perhaps the next time Thor goes to New Asgard, you should go with him,” he lets the sentence hang there for a second, then quickly adds, “I’m not saying anyone there will know where Loki is, or that they would even want to help you, but... it’s a place to start.” He shrugs halfheartedly.
You jump up from the table excitedly.
“Of course! Bruce, you’re a genius! Thank you.”
He puts his hands up in front of him, shaking his head.
“Oh, no. I’m not taking any credit for this.” He looks at you concernedly. “Just… be careful, ok? I don’t want this to backfire, for your sake.”
After speaking with Bruce, you practically skip down the halls of the compound, excited to ask Thor if he would let you accompany him to New Asgard.
“Thor?” you ask in a sing-song voice, entering your bedroom. He’s not there. You peer into the ensuite bathroom, “Thor?” Not in there either.
Wondering where he could be, you head back out of your room and down the hall to the communal living area. As the door slides open you notice two blonde-haired, broad-shouldered men, sitting on the sofa with their backs to you.
“There you are,” you say, walking towards Thor and Steve, who both jump at the sound of you. You had always thought it was impossible to sneak up on a Demi-God and a super soldier with enhanced hearing, but apparently they were so transfixed with what they were doing, they hadn’t heard you enter. Thor jumps to his feet and bounds over, intercepting you before you can make it round to the front of the sofa.
Steve panickingly attempts to cover whatever is on the coffee table in front of him, but you can’t see past Thor’s thick frame anyway.
“I thought you were going out shopping, my love,” Thor says shiftily, placing two large hands on your upper arms and steering you slightly further away from the sofa.
“I’m just about to, I had something to do first,” you say, referring to your visit to Bruce’s lab. “What are you two doing?” You ask him, with suspicion, attempting to peer past him. He blocks you with his shoulder.
“Nothing that concerns you,” he says, but his tone is playful.
“Alright…” you say, narrowing your eyes slightly. “Anyway,” you continue, changing the subject to the reason you came to find him in the first place, “I was just wondering… the next time you go to New Asgard, could I perhaps go with you?”
He looks surprised by your suggestion.
“I mean, I totally don’t have to, if you would prefer to go alone. I just thought…”
He cuts off your rambling by embracing you so hard in his large arms that he almost lifts you straight off the floor.
“That would be wonderful!” He says excitedly, beaming at you. “I can’t wait to introduce you to my fellow Asgardians, they will love you!”
“Ok, that’s great,” you say, returning his smile, “I’m really looking forward to meeting them.”
He lets go of you and you straighten your outfit. “Well, I better go do some shopping, or I’ll never be ready for Christmas,” you say then give Thor a peck on the lips. “I’ll see you later.”
“Goodbye, my love,” he says, steering you back in the direction of the door.
“Bye Steve,” you say, waving to him, still sitting on the sofa.
Having panicked and finally given in to Sam and Nat’s idea, you’re now hurrying down the busy city street lined with twinkling fairy lights, in the direction of the nearest lingerie shop. You glance at the window of a shop across the street from you and do a double take.
There’s a large glass tank in the display. You stop abruptly to stare at it from the opposite side of the pavement out of curiosity, causing the woman behind you to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting you with her shopping bags. She tuts loudly as she carries on bustling down the street.
You carefully negotiate crossing the busy road, then stand on the sidewalk with one of your gloved hands held up to the glass, cupped above your eyes to help you see in through the window of the store.
You can see the outlines of various tanks and cages along the back wall and, in the ones closer to you, the moving shapes of the different animals inside them.
The snake in the tank closest to you, slithers slightly closer to the window and raises its head, staring back at you, unblinking. Butterflies start swirling around in your stomach, as you peer in at it. You remember your conversation with Thor from yesterday and how he had said he loves snakes. Is this a totally insane idea? you think to yourself. Not the first one I’ve had today, you add, remembering Banner’s reaction to you wanting to find Loki.
A small, hopeful part of you thinks as you gaze at the animal, that perhaps it would remind him of his brother and the good times they used to have together. It seems like a good alternative, at least until you can start your search for Loki properly.
You chew on your bottom lip, still studying the snake. As much as you think he’d love it, what if Thor doesn’t want the commitment of owning a pet? He does sometimes go on long missions and wouldn’t be around to look after it all the time; but you would be there, so it wouldn’t be neglected.
You’re slowly talking yourself into it, when you’re drawn out of your reverie by a voice beside you. “Unusual creatures, aren’t they?”
You look to your left, startled, to see a man wearing a smart black suit and overcoat with black shoulder length hair, standing next to you.
He’s staring straight ahead, but you know his comment was definitely directed at you; there’s no one else around for him to have aimed it at. Following his gaze, you see he is looking through the window at the large tank with the snake in it; the very same snake you had just been considering buying for Thor.
“Yeah,” you say in response, not really sure what else to say. “I was thinking of buying one for my boyfriend. As a Christmas present.”
He turns to look at you and offers you a charming smile. “That’s very thoughtful of you,” he says in his posh British accent, then pauses, “I’m sure Thor will love it. He was always very fond of snakes.”
You smile in return then do a double take.
“What? How… how do you…?” You stumble over your words, causing him to laugh lightly, flashing his teeth. Then it clicks.
“Loki?” you whisper in amazement.
He bows his head to you.
“Lady Y/N.”
You’re dumbfounded. Opening and shutting your mouth several times. You discreetly pinch the skin on your forearm, just to make sure you’re not dreaming.
“How…?” is the only thing able to make it past your lips, as you gaze at him in wonder and disbelief.
This earns another soft chuckle from him.
He gestures across the road towards a small park area with a few benches, “We have much to talk about. Shall we?”
At a complete loss for words, you simply nod and follow his lead.
“After we escaped, I had nowhere to go,” Loki explains. “Asgard was destroyed and I couldn’t go back to Sakaar. Which was a shame really, I quite liked it there. Could see myself fitting in,” he adds wistfully. “I’m not exactly welcome here on Midgard,” he casts a wary look around as he says this, lowering his voice. “So I ventured off on my own, trying to find another planet to settle on.”
“So, why did you come back?” you ask.
He looks at you with a creased brow.
“I’ve come to tell you to stop looking for me.”
You scoff softly, taken aback by his suggestion.
“How did you know I was looking for you, when I hadn’t even started?” Then a thought creeps into your brain, making you shudder. “Wait, have you been spying on me?” you ask in disgust.
“Oh, don’t make it sound so perverse,” he chastises you. “I like to keep an eye on my brother,” he says hesitantly, as if he isn’t sure he should be admitting this to you.
“Then why would you come here if you didn’t want to be found?” It doesn’t make any sense to you.
He casts his eyes to the floor. Then you remember something Clint had once said to you, about Loki’s projections of himself.
“You’re… not really here, are you?” you ask quietly. You reach out to touch his hand and it flickers slightly, your fingers brushing nothing but air.
“I couldn’t risk it,” he says in response to the disappointed look on your face. “Besides, Thor doesn’t want to see me. He’s happy now,” he says, catching your gaze. “He has you.”
You smile thoughtfully.
“Family is important, Loki,” you say after a moment of silence. “And sometimes we don’t realise that until it’s too late.” Your voice is wistful, as you stare into the distance.
His face falls at your remark, it seems you caught him off guard.
“Our mother used to say something similar to that.”
Although you don’t know much about their mother, Thor had always spoken very highly of her and you knew they both loved her very much.
“Whenever Thor and I would fight, she would say that one day we’d be all each other would have left. As usual, she was right.” he looks off in the direction you are staring.
The pair of you stay quiet for a little while, then you speak up.
“Look, Loki, after all this time you’ve still kept an eye on Thor, obviously because you care for him a great deal. And he misses you, he really does, I can tell. Why don’t you just come back to the compound with me? See him,” you suggest. Loki looks startled by the idea.
“Absolutely not,” he scoffs. “No.”
“It’s ok, I get it. You’re scared about seeing him, but I-”
“I am not scared,” he cuts in stubbornly and you have to fight the urge to roll your eyes at him.
“Well, how about you think on it?” You suggest, and then you have an idea. “Hey, I know! Come for Christmas!” you say excitedly. You see the look on Loki’s face and dial your enthusiasm back a notch. “You could join us at the compound on Christmas day, I’m sure Thor would love that.”
Loki continues to shake his head.
“Nobody wants me there, Y/N,” he says plainly. You see the hurt in his eyes.
“Thor does. And if he does, so do I.”
He gives you a doubtful look in return.
“Don’t worry about the others,” you say, “ I’ll handle them.” He says nothing, so you figure you’ve probably said enough.
You’re starting to resign yourself to the fact that you’ll never be able to reunite Thor with his brother.
“It was really nice to meet you Loki,” you say genuinely, standing up from the bench, “but if you’ll excuse me, I have to go panic-buy a snake.”
He gives a small laugh and smiles.
“You know, my brother is a lucky man.” The corners of your mouth twitch upwards at the compliment. It’s funny, you never expected you’d be having a conversation with Loki, let alone that it would shape out like this.
“Just, please, promise me you’ll think about my offer,” you say, straightening out your coat.
He doesn’t say anything but smiles and politely bows his head to you in a final goodbye. You cross the road to get back to the shop and once you’ve made the short walk to the other side, you turn back to look at the bench you had left Loki standing in front of, but he is gone.
Please let me know if you would like to be tagged in the future/ removed from my taglist :)

"Miss?"
Flashing lights separated and splayed through the drying tears in your watery eyes, music and ringing from hundreds of slot machines overstimulated your senses as you simultaneously pulled your dress up and down in different places.
"Excuse me miss? Can I get you something to drink?"
Coming back to your senses, you turned around to face the bartender. "Yeah, uh..." really, you tried your hardest to think of something, literally anything to help move along the buzz you were already riding but no proper words made it to your brain. "Sorry. I'm not sure what I want. Can you just make it strong and fruity?"
"Sure thing." The bartender agreed, already grabbing bottles off the shelf.
Watching him masterfully work helped you zone out and relieved all of your overwhelmed senses. Pouring, shaking, more pouring, a garnish, then a fruity elixir of a bunch of liquids you most definitely could not pronounce was placed right in front of you atop a cocktail napkin. Not a single drop was spilled, even the ice was perfect.
Reaching into your purse, you handed the bartender your card and shouted to try and compete with the volume of drunken gamblers and rolling dice. "You can close the tab."
"Don't worry about it. This one's on the house, you look like you need it." He kindly denied your form of payment.
You chuckled to yourself. "That bad, huh?"
"No, but I know a sad chick when I see one." He noted. "Happens pretty often in Vegas."
"Well, thank you, I appreciate it." You raised the glass. "Cheers to you and all the bartenders making the world go round."
"Amen to that" He smiled before walking off to serve yet another drunken customer.
You sat at the bar on a little leather stool fully contemplating how you ended up in this situation as you looked out into the hotel casino and nursed your drink. It didn't take long for you to realize that the Vegas bartenders didn't take the word strong as a joke. Because every sip stung your throat and swirled your thoughts around in slow motion.
The speed at which your thoughts came at you didn't help the fact that every single one of them revolved around nothing but yourself.
What were you going to do now? Where should you go from here?
Drinking wasn't the answer, but not drinking wasn't the solution. Finding shelter in the Caesars Palace hotel was a good enough temporary fix to your problems, so you ignored that you were on the complete opposite side of the Las Vegas strip that you actually needed to be on.
However, getting to your hotel on the complete opposite side was the problem. Your shitty friends completely ditched you, or maybe you ditched them. The details were all so unclear, but the fact was they were all making stupid choices and you couldn't stand to stick around long enough to see the end results of them.
But now you were all done up in high heels and a small little dress in a city you had never been in before, notorious for sex, drugs and alcohol. Luckily, pepper spray in your purse and a back pocket full of self defense techniques that have been drilled into your head ever since you were a little girl were amongst some of the better choices you made tonight.
Then came along all of the dumber choices you would make tonight in the form of yet another fruity drink, and a tall, blonde man looking painfully confused at the roulette table right in front of you.
He was tall and broad, even more handsome than the massive statues of Roman men all around the hotel. But much like the statues around you, he looked like he was carved from marble. The muscles you could see sculpted through his suit jacket could've only been a result of a piece of fine art.
It was easy to pick up his wholesome sweetness behind his big blue eyes, that also did a lot to tell you how drunk the man was. He towered over the table and watched a few rounds, trying his hardest to understand what was happening. Much like him, you watched the ball spin round and round before landing in a slot.
Some of the players would moan and groan at their fate, while others would cheer happily and exchange loud laughter and high-fives.
Mesmerized by the game, you missed the glances the blonde man snuck of you. He really couldn't help it though. His friends had left him all alone while his capacity to make good decisions was at an all time low, and you were just so pretty and maybe a bit sad.
Another round was about to start, so the dealer started taking bets. Everyone around the table started placing their chips on a color and number, and the blonde was still confused.
He looked around again before his eyes met yours, and a stupid invasive smile smeared across your lips. When he noticed your friendly demeanor, he took a few stumbles over to you.
"Do you have any idea how to play this?" The man asked you.
Now you could smell the expensive yet deliciously pleasant cologne he was wearing, and you could take in all the details of his black suit.
Giggling at his cluelessness, you swallowed down the sip of cocktail in your mouth. "I do. Would you like some help?"
"I'm assuming you have to guess if the ball lands on red or black?" He asked as his lopsided smile and squinted eyes told you everything you needed to know about his sobriety... or lack there of.
"That's exactly it, good job." You nodded. "But you can also guess the number, or a group of numbers it'll land on. The payout at the end is based on how accurate your bet is."
"So what should I bet?" He asked you, having already built a strong sense of trust for you in the few minutes he had been observing.
"Oh no, that's not up to me." You shook your head before taking another sip of your drink. "You gotta trust your own gut."
The man's eyes darted around the table once more before his arms motioned to it. "But look around! All of these men have pretty girls telling them what to do, and that's why they're all winning money. You guys are so much smarter than us, and I'm alone so I need you to tell me. Red or black."
Usually, a statement like that from a man like him would have you rolling your eyes and cutting the conversation short. However, either your gut or the alcohol was telling you that he wasn't an asshole.
For some reason, you felt calm and comfortable in his presence all while being unable to wipe the dumb smile off your face. Something about his hair that was once perfectly styled now being a little jostled, and the twinge of pink in his cheeks made him seem so distantly familiar.
"Well thank you for that backhanded compliment." You laughed. "I think you should bet red."
He nodded, trusting your opinion far more than he trusted himself. "Should I place a more specific bet too?"
You thought for a moment, but you were in Vegas so... fuck it. "Yeah. Give me your chip"
The man happily placed the roulette chip into your hand, you stood up in one big sweep and started walking away from the bar. "Woah, don't leave your drink!"
Pleasantly surprised that he had your best interest in mind, you mumbled out a statement of gratitude as he handed the glass to you too. Approaching the table, looked at it for a few moments and tried your hardest to contemplate the best number to place a bet on, but once again no rational thoughts occupied the empty spaces of your brain.
So, you threw the chip on your favorite number, lucky 25.
"There ya go!" You used your free hand to pat the man's shoulder. "Good luck, Blondie."
"What happens if I win?" He asked you, smiling as you let your hand linger. Even with your highest heels on, you were nowhere near as tall as him.
"Then it's your lucky day, and you'll get a shit ton of money." You giggled at his question.
"And if I lose?"
"Then you're unlucky and you're about to lose some money." You snorted.
"That's not going to happen, you're my good luck charm." He declared.
"I don't think anything about my night tonight is radiating lucky energy, so I doubt that."
"What? No way! I feel like I've been the luckiest guy in the whole world today, so maybe I'm your good luck charm."
"I guess we will let the roulette wheel speak the truth of the universe tonight." You shrugged.
"Should we place our own bets on the bet?" The man asked.
"Like what?" You questioned, hoping this wasn't the moment the sweet stranger turned weird and pervy.
"I think if I lose I should probably call it a night and go back to my room because this is the drunkest I've been in probably 80 years." He stated. However, his words flew over your head figuring his drunken words were exaggerated, and you found yourself to be a little sad that your time with the stranger would be cut short so soon.
"I think if you win, you should stay out for a little while and have another drink with me." You smiled, going way out of your own comfort zone.
If you were sober, or maybe even drunk in a bar anywhere other than Las Vegas, you would've been caught dead before being caught to be so bold. But he was pulling you in faster than you've ever felt, and something about him felt so natural and warm.
"Deal." He agreed.
"Look, they're about to spin the wheel." You pointed at the table.
The dealer spun the wheel, and the ball was moving so fast that you could barely even follow it. Even as it slowed down and started to tease each individual slot, the motion of following the sphere going round and round was quite honestly making you a bit dizzy, so you squeezed your eyes shut in anticipation.
"No way." The blonde stated. "No fucking way!"
His arm wrapped around you from behind and his big warm hands very gently shook the tops of your arms. "Look! It's on red! I can't see the number, but it's on red!"
You giggled and tried your best to keep your balance as he shook you around. When you opened your eyes you could see that the drink in your hand was sloshing around and spilling over onto the impeccably maintained carpet beneath your feet. But the loss of some of your drink was a small price to pay when the dealer picked the ball up out of the wheel and announced "25 Red!"
Simultaneously, you and Blondie let out little screeches in surprise and joy when you realized you had actually placed a winning bet. In all your years on this planet, nothing like this had ever happened to you. You never even won $5 on a penny slot, let alone a fat wad of cash that was being placed into the man's hands.
After the cheering celebration and laughter died down, he turned to you. "See! I knew you were lucky!"
"You trusted your intuition, and you won!" You noted with a smile so big and long lasting it was starting to make your cheeks sore. "Good job."
"Here! This is yours." He placed the wad of cash in your hands.
"What? No. You bet your own money, it's yours." Not being able to accept it, especially when you saw it was all $100 bills.
"No it's yours! You placed the winning bet, you knew the magic number so I want you to have it." He explained kindly. "You said nothing about your night was lucky, so consider this your sign from the universe."
"I can't just accept all of this money from a complete stranger." You denied once more. "You're very sweet, I would feel so guilty taking this from you."
"Fine, if you can't accept the money for yourself, how about we go spend it together?" He offered. "I owe you another drink anyways, then after that the Las Vegas strip is our oyster!"
"That's a little better" You agreed with a smile. "I'm sorry, I didn't even get your name."
"O-oh!" The man seemed to be taken back by that statement for a second. A look of momentary confusion furrowed his eyebrows before a happy smile returned to his kind face. "Sorry, I'm Steve!"
You made a small mental note of his initial shock that you asked for his name, but your drunken brain didn't hold onto that for very long.
"Alright Steve, here's the plan." You rocked up on your tippy toes and kept yourself braced with a steady hand on his solid shoulder so he could hear you better in the loud and chaotic environment. "Half my drink just ended up on the floor when you won, so I'm going to order another one. Then after that, I somehow need to end the night at my hotel on the complete opposite end of the strip without getting taken or murdered. So if we can somehow make it from here to there while blowing through that money you just won, then I'd be more than happy to help you spend it."
Steve's eyes went wide in concern at your statement. "Where are you staying?"
You narrowed your eyes at him. "My gut is telling me not to tell a strange man where I'm staying."
"Smart girl, but I'm not letting you walk down the strip alone at night. The people here are crazy." He challenged. "No funny business. Pinky promise."
Steve raised his pinky for you with a genuine look of promise and concern on his face. "Do people often trust you to get them to safety?"
His cheeks turned pinker, and he let out an adorable giggle. "Yeah, I think most people find me to be very trustworthy."
"No funny business." You lifted your hand and wrapped your pinky around his with a quick handshake. "I'm staying at New York, New York."
"Oh wow, we have a long way to go with lots of chances to blow through that stack." He smiled. "What are you drinking? I'll order you another one."
"Honestly, I have no idea." You admitted, smile coming back to your face.
"Okay great! That helps me a lot" The blonde laughed.
"Excuse me" You politely flagged down the bartender. The same one from earlier coming back, you showed him your glass. "Can I get another one of these please? And whatever he wants?"
You looked to Steve who looked between you and the bartender. "Just two waters please."
"Sure thing." The bartender agreed.
"What? You're not going to have a drink?" You questioned.
He pulled a copper flask out of the pocket on the inside of his suit jacket. "I'll drink more, but this is stronger."
"Oh, nothing here is strong enough for you?" You raised a brow, your smile growing just as lopsided as his.
"Nope. This stuff is special, it comes straight from another realm."
Laughing at his joke, as you handed the bartender cash straight from the wad Steve gave you. "That's funny, because I hope this is strong enough to make me feel like I'm no longer in this realm, so cheers to that!"
You and Steve sat at that bar for a solid two hours as conversation topics flew at the two of you unexpectedly fast. Each one new topic was short lived as an enthusiastic response would happily slip off one of your tongues, so excited that the two of you had so much in common.
Then, Steve decided to start the shopping spree. He offered you a hand to help you off the stool, which quickly turned into a protective arm around you, or ushering you the entirety of your time together. He knew that the men on the Vegas strip were pigs, but he underestimated how bad it really was.
But the cat calls, whistles, and lingering eyes were drowned out by the city sounds and the big flashing marquee lights that littered the sides of every building you passed. It was just as mesmerizing as the night before, skipping down the streets in a drunken haze with your best friends.
Now you were mesmerized by not only sin city, but the mysterious man you were following around as if you'd known him your whole life.
With a sense of childlike wonder the two of you ended up in silly places like the M&M's store, and the Coca-Cola store, but you also ventured into more classy designer establishments where you convinced him to buy a lovely new belt at Louis Vuitton.
It looked good, he looked good. You had to work really hard to contain the drool in your mouth as you watched him take off his old belt to replace it with the new one.
He tried to buy you a new bag, but once again you were being stubborn and were having a hard time accepting such a generous offer.
So, you suggested another drink. Just one more.
More sitting and chatting with Steve, you swallowed down the liquid in your cup while he shot the rest of the liquid in his flask.
That last drink was the worst of your poor decision making that night, or so you thought.
Because the last memory you had was sitting at that bar and really admiring him.
The alcohol had turned his cheeks and the tip of his nose a rosy pink color that somehow made his blue eyes shine even brighter, and add to the wholesome energy you felt radiating from him.
Sweet, silly, carefree, handsome, safe.
Then, you woke up.
Slowly at first. Your eyes opened and the dull pounding at the back of your skull wasn't nearly at bad as you deserved. The air conditioning did wonders keeping you comfortable, the light peaked through the black out curtains, and your belongings scattered across the room confirmed that you were definitely in the right place.
You looked around more. M&m's bag, Louis Vuitton bag... Converse bag? You didn't remember buying shoes. Wait... how did you get here?
Only then did you wake up FAST. You sat up, and your heart pounded as you realized that Blondie was in your bed. The sudden movement made your head pound even harder, but the good news was that he was fully clothed and was sleeping above the covers.
You were also asleep and fully clothed, but both of you were in different clothes than you had on last night. That's probably what those shopping bags in the corner were...
Carefully rolling out of bed to try and make yourself somewhat presentable and aid along trying to process what happened last night, you walked into the bathroom.
Wash your face, brush your teeth, fix your hair.
By the time you came out, Blondie was sitting up in bed with his legs on the floor, shooting you an apologetic look. He was apprehensive, scared to gauge how sick and unenthusiastic you would be by his presence this morning.
"Good morning." He said quietly, voice deep and raspy from inhaling the dry air and residual cigarette smoke.
"Morning." You tried to be polite, clutching the side of your head. "What happened? How did we- how did any of this-"
"Nothing happened." Steve reassured you. "I would never take advantage-"
"Okay, okay." You nodded slowly, feeling slightly relieved. "Advil. I have Advil."
Waking over to the table in the hotel room, you grabbed the bottle of painkillers and a water. You opened both and popped two little pills in your mouth, washing them down with water.
"I'm sorry, I don't remember much either. It's been a really long time since I've gotten drunk. This is really out of the ordinary for me." He explained.
"I guess we're on the same boat then." You agreed with him before a couple pieces of paper catch your eye.
"I guess I should probably go?" Steve stated, but it was more of a question. This was the first time he ever found himself waking up next to a stranger.
"No, you stay right there." You insisted frantically, picking up the piece of paper.
Certificate of marriage.
Your name signed at the bottom next to another signature that read Steven G Rogers.
Your heart sank to the pit of your stomach.
You studied the signature, looked at his face, looked at the signature, then his face again.
In the table, there was a picture of the two of you kissing. Him in his suit, you in the dress you wore last night but also a veil.
"Oh my god" You exclaimed, so much information to process.
"What?" Steve questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Oh my god!" You pinched the bridge of your nose and took a deep breath.
"What happened?"
"You didn't tell me..." You puffed out a breath, then an unexpected giggle left your throat. Of course, this would happen to you the one time in your life you didn't behave like a perfect angel. "Captain America?"
"Oh... Guilty?" Steve's shoulders sunk. "I introduced myself, no?"
"As Steve." You exaggerated.
"Yeah, I'm Steve." He agreed.
"Well, at least I was safe." Finding the benefit of the doubt. "Do you remember getting married last night, Steve?"
You passed the paper and the picture to him, and his face contorted into an expression you couldn't quite read. "...wow."
"Wow?" You questioned. "I unknowingly married Captain America last night and all you have for me is wow?"
"Holy shit." Steve looked up at you.
"That's better." You nodded.
"You don't look panicked" Steve noted.
"I'm not panicked because at least you're a superhero." You explained. "That counts for something right? Like people won't think I'm totally inane for marrying a stranger when they find out it's Captain America? And like... a superhero means you have people who come and clean up after you right? Someone can fix this right?"
You watched the gears turn in his head. "... I have to call Tony."
Tony. Who's Tony? Think. Superhero, avengers, Steve, Captain America. Tony... IRON MAN.
"Stark?" Your eyebrows raised. Steve nodded, pulling out his phone. "Now I'm freaking out. I'm really freaking out."
"It's okay, give me a second." Steve said calmly.
You nodded, the remembered you should check your phone too. As he spoke quietly to Tony, you looked around for your phone before finding it on the night stand, flooded with dozens of missed calls and texts from friends wondering where you were. You quickly sent off a text in a group chat saying you'd explain later, and that you were okay.
Eventually Steve ended the call. "He said he'll be here in a minute or two."
"Oh, okay great." You said exaggerating your nonchalance. "No biggie. Iron man coming over to read my marriage certificate to Captain America."
Steve giggled at the ridiculousness of the situation. "My mother would be over the moon to find out I'm married."
"My mom might have me 6 feet in a grave if she ever finds out about this." You sat back down on the bed next to him.
"When do you leave Vegas?" Steve questioned.
"My flight is at nine tonight. What about you?"
"Flying home at six thirty." He informed you. "Where do you live?"
"New York" You said simply. "Queens."
"We both live in New York and we’re staying in a New York themed hotel? What a small world." Steve noted. "Maybe we don't have to fit in a divorce before this evening."
"I mean... you are very handsome so I definitely wouldn't mind staying married to you for a few days until we get this figured out." You grinned.
A small blush stippled his cheeks at your compliment. “You’re so pretty I would’ve never had the courage to talk to you if I wasn’t drunk.”
Just like him, you blushed at his admission, and giggled at his words. “This doesn’t feel like real life.”
“Maybe I should’ve gotten you a ring instead of whatever the hell we bought last night.” Steve thought.
You looked down at your left hand, and sure enough, there was a pretty ring on your finger. You lifted it up to show him. “Looks like you were two steps ahead of yourself”
“Oh, good.” He chuckled. “At least there’s that.”
Then, there was a knock at the door.
You looked at Steve with wide eyes and nervousness building up in your tummy at the thought of being in the same room with one third of the Avengers.
“I’ll get it” He reassured you, standing up to answer the door.
Before you knew it, Tony Stark confidently barreled into the room. Firing some teasing words at Steve, you knew the poor guy would never hear the end of it.
“Oh look, here she is!” Tony announced.
“Nice to meet you Mr. Stark.” You shook his hand.
“Trust me, the pleasure is all mine Mrs. Rogers.” He smiled.
“Tony” Steve warned with a glare.
“Where’s the paper work?” Tony asked.
You quickly handed him the picture and the signed document that was on the table. Steve stood right next to you as you both watched him read over it, and evaluate the legitimacy.
Tony took out his phone snapped a few pictures, and made a weird face. Nervously, you his your face in Steve’s arm and he instinctively rubbed your back to comfort you.
Then, Tony started laughing. “Rogers you’re an idiot.”
“I’m aware, but what’s so funny?” Steve complained.
“It’s fake.” Tony said.
“What?” Your head popped up.
“Little white chapel, married by Elvis just for the gag type of thing. There’s no marriage license, it’s not a legal marriage.” He explained, handing you the papers back.
Both you and Steve let out a huge sigh of relief. “Maybe I’m not that much of an idiot after all.”
“No, you’re still stupid.” Tony denied. “Out of all the people in the world I would’ve never expected this from you, Cap.”
“This is Thor’s fault.” Steve pointed his finger.
You didn’t understand how the god of thunder had anything to do with this, but you had no mental capacity left to even ask.
“Yeah, well, it doesn’t matter. Just be on time for the flight home and stay out of trouble.” Tony told him. “Hope to see you around again soon, Mrs. Rogers.”
And just like that, he was out faster than he came in.
“I know Tony made it seem like everything is okay, but it’s not and I have a giant mess to clean up with the team.” Steve explained to you.
“Yeah, I’d assume so.” You smiled.
“Which means I really should go.” He let you down. “But regardless of this fiasco, and from what I do remember, I had a lot of fun with you last night. Would you want to exchange phone numbers and maybe hang out again when we get home?”
“I would love that, Steve.” You agreed.
He handed you his phone and you handed him yours. Both putting in your phone numbers and names before swapping them back.
At the same time, you both burst out laughing at the contact names.
Unplanned, he put his name as Husband, and you put yours as Wife.
“Ridiculous!” You laughed, walking him to the door.
“Maybe we really were meant to be.” Steve pondered.
“Maybe.” You agreed. “But in all seriousness, thank you for getting me home safe last night. I was really lucky to run into the right person at the right time.”
“Of course.” Steve grinned. “Travel safe, and let me know when you get home so we can set something up.”
“You got it.” Rocking up on your tippy toes, you kissed his cheek. “Have fun cleaning up that mess, Husband.”
“Don’t tell your Mom about this, Wife.”
You locked your lips and threw away the key. “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”

Slight mob!Loki x female reader
18+ | contains smut
“Loki, when are you coming back to bed?” You asked, pouting as you fastened your short silk robe, stepping into Loki’s study.
“I’m just sorting through a few things dearest, soon.” Loki answered, glancing up at you before doing a double take, noticing your attire.
“Hi Thor.” You smiled, greeting Loki’s brother.
“Y/n.” He replied, swallowing thickly before his eyes quickly ran up your exposed legs.
“Are these things anything I can help with?” You offered.
“Come here.” Loki gestured, tapping his knee. Walking further into the room, you made your way to Loki, sitting on his lap as you looked down at the papers sprawled out over the desk. “The aim is to go from here” Loki began, placing his finger on a map “to here unnoticed.” He finished, pointing to the final destination.
“Hmm, unnoticed?” You hummed, wracking your brain.
“Yeah.” He nodded, kissing your neck.
“Dress as delivery men and use a delivery truck.” You suggested.
“That’s too obvious, sweet.” Loki answered.
“Then garbage men then, no one is going to check a garbage truck.” You shrugged.
“And where would we get this garbage truck?” Thor queried, you and Loki both glancing up at him.
“Loki has contacts everywhere.”
“Yes brother,” Loki smirked, “I’ve got contacts everywhere.”
“So that’s sorted then” you clapped, looking back at Loki as he wrapped his arm tighter around you “can we go back to bed now?”
“I’m afraid there’s still something else.” Loki sighed.
“Fine” you huffed, breaking out of Loki’s grip as you stood “I guess I’m going to have to just take care of myself then.” You announced, walking out of the room, both sets of Odinson eyes on you as you did so. “Goodnight Thor.” You spoke, touching his arm as you passed him.
Watching you for a few moments, Loki couldn’t help but stand up, following after you.
“This won’t take a minute” Loki lied, speaking to Thor “sit down, make yourself at home.” He called, leaving the room. Heading up the stairs, Loki was quick to catch up with you, leaving you yelping as he wrapped his arms around you from behind, practically carrying you to the bedroom.
“I said I’d be with you in a moment, couldn’t you have just given me that?” Loki spoke firmly.
“No.” You giggled.
“Right, bend over that bed.” He ordered.
You were quick to make your way to the bed, standing at the end of it before leaning over it, balancing on your forearms. Loki stood behind you, one arm snaking around your body to undo your robe. The thin material slipped off of your body, leaving you bare for Loki as he ran two of his fingers through your folds.
“Already so wet.” He noted lowly, fingers circling your clit slowly.
“I was getting ready for you.” You grinned.
“Yeah?” He smiled coyly.
“Mhmm.” You hummed.
“Good girl, getting it nice and wet for daddy.” Loki praised, the sound of his belt unbuckling ringing in your ear before you felt him pressing his soft, thick member against you. “What do you want me to do?” He questioned, gripping his length and gently moving it through your slick folds.
“You know what I want you to do.” You answered, impatiently moving your hips backwards.
“Say it” Loki commanded, pressing the tip of his length to your entrance “say it.” He uttered.
“I want you to fuck me.” You almost whined.
“That’s a good girl.” He smirked, pressing himself into you.
“Lokii.” You mewled as he buried himself inside of you, every inch of him filling you before he pulled out. “Fuck.” You moaned as he gripped your hips tightly, thrusting inside of you again, harder this time, more purposefully.
“Such a tight little thing.” He lauded, one of his hands lifting and landing on your ass hard as you moaned louder.
“Fuckk Lokii.” You gasped, his balls hitting your clit as he continued thrusting in and out of you.
“Shh, we have a guest, remember.” He chuckled darkly.
“Lokii.” You panted, Loki hitting that perfect soft spot with each calculated stroke. “Feels so good.” You moaned lewdly as he grabbed your hand, guiding it to your clit prompting you to rub it.
“Quiet.” He instructed, loosening his tie before practically shoving it into your mouth in the hopes of silencing you but knowing it’d just arouse you further. You humored him, gagging on it as he continued fucking you. Your face was almost buried into the bed as you tried to remain balanced on one of your forearms.
Downstairs, Thor repositioned himself, crossing his legs as he heard what sounded like Loki spanking you. He tried to busy himself looking through the map on the table but it was useless.
“Are you going to be a dear and cum for me so I can continue discussing business? Hmm?” Loki asked, thrusts quickening. Unable to reply, you clenched your walls around him. “Good girl.” He smiled before pounding into you, unable to conceal his own groaning. Feeling your walls thrumming around him, Loki tore the tie out of your mouth.
“Fuck!” You exclaimed, pleasure consuming you “m’ cumming.”
“Love, you’re soaking me.” Loki spoke, clearly amused as he slowed his pace, guiding you through your high.
“I-I’ll clean you up.”
“And how are you going to do that?” He questioned, still inside you. Reaching behind you, you tried to push him backwards. Realising what you were doing, Loki pulled out of you. Turning around to face him, you went onto your knees before gripping his hard, length, moist from your arousal. You moved your hand up and down it, Loki relaxing against your touch as you massaged his sensitive member. Opening your mouth, you guided him inside it, flicking the tip with your tongue as it entered. Hands on his hips, Loki closed his eyes as you gagged on his cock, hollowing your cheeks around it as you sucked on it. Unable to control himself, his hips involuntarily thrusted forwards, chasing your mouth as you circled the tip with your tongue.
“Are you going to let me cum on those pretty tits?” Loki cooed, feeling his orgasm approaching. Nodding, you replaced your mouth with your hand, fisting him to completion before he came, coating your breasts with his warm seed.
“My good good girl.” He praised, pulling you into a long kiss as if he just wanted to taste himself against you. “Go and grab me some clean trousers.” He spoke, breaking the kiss and slapping your ass as you turned around towards the wardrobe. “Thank you.” He added, taking his current ones off before putting the clean ones on. “Now, I’m going back downstairs and I’ll be back once I’m finished. You stay up here.”
“And what would you do if I came downstairs?” You questioned teasingly.
“I’d have to punish you.” He smirked.
“Don’t threaten me with a good time.” You giggled.
“Right, where were we?” Loki spoke, entering his study again.
“I—um—I need to leave.” Thor stuttered, almost sprinting out of the room.
This is the Thor that was in the study alone 🤣

Summary: You long to get out of Olympus and do something with your powers that actually means something, but your father won't let you leave. When a mysterious stranger shows up looking for Zeus, you figure he's the way to getting the hell out of there.
Squares Filled: free space (2022) for @thorbingo
Author’s Note: any and all comments are appreciated <3
x
Most people know you as Hebe, the Goddess of youth but you like to be called Y/N. You have never left Olympus to explore other worlds and bestow your gift upon others. People come to you from all over for you to give them their youth back, but you can do so much more than that. You can restore youth for any living thing, which is why you’re in charge of restoring nature back to its glory days.
There are plentiful goddesses that deal with nature who can do a much better job than you, but you were tasked by your father, Zeus, to do this. No one disobeys him or questions him, so you have to do this. Not that you mind much since you love being out in nature and taking care of it.
You walk past some bushes that are wiltering a bit so you run your fingers over it to give them their life back. They bloom back to life as if they were years younger. The flowers on the bushes bloom with bright colors as they are restored to their youth. You do this to the trees in the area and watch as the leaves go from a sickly brown color to bright green.
There are thousands of other planets that can benefit from your powers but Zeus won’t let you leave. Your mother, Hera, has tried hundreds of times to get all of her children to leave but he won’t listen to her. So, instead of doing something meaningful with your life, you’re stuck on Olympus doing the same thing every single day. This place is filled with gods and goddesses that come and go while you’re stuck wishing for something more to happen.
You’ve just finished restoring life to a tree when something glints off the sunlight in the sky. You cover your eyes so you can see what’s going on when a large ship comes crashing to the surface of Olympus. You jump out of the way just as it crashes down on all the nature you’ve worked hard to restore. Two goats are on the outside of the bow. A rainbow bridge follows in their footsteps and disappears once they’ve landed.
Four people get out of the ship without a car that they’ve destroyed something as delicate as nature. They walk right past you despite the shocked look you’re giving them. No one else seems to care about the falling ship except for you.
“What the hell is your problem?” you ask and jog to catch up with them. “You ruined my garden.”
The second biggest of all of them turns around to tell you off but stops. He used to think Jane was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen but that all changes when he locks eyes on you. This is Olympus full of beautiful goddesses but you’re nothing like what he’d expected. He has a time-sensitive mission but he can put it on hold for five minutes just to talk to you.
“I’m sorry,” Thor stutters.
You have to admit, he is quite attractive but that doesn't mean he should get away with what he’s done.
“Who are you four?”
“My name is Thor, and this is Jane who is also a Thor but not the true Thor like I am. She used to be human, which she still is, but she is able to pick up Mjolnir which is why she can be a Thor,” Thor stutters.
“What he’s trying to say is that he’s Thor, she’s Jane, this is Korg and I’m a Valkyrie.”
“Ah, I’ve heard about you,” you say to Thor. “I heard you released Sutur to destroy your home. You aided in the fight against Thanos.”
“Yes, that was me,” Thor blushes.
“I’m going to scout this place out,” Jane says and takes off flying with Mjolnir.
Valkyrie and Korg leave Thor alone with you to scout on foot.
“Who are you?”
“People know me as Hebe but I like to go by Y/N. I’m the Goddess of youth. I was just restoring youth to that garden you so rudely smashed into.”
“Sorry about that,” he chuckles nervously. Something clicks in his head and it shows in the way his eyes light up. “Your father is Zeus.”
“That bastard,” you roll your eyes. “He’s practically everyone’s father around here but yes, he’s my biological father. I hate his guts.”
“Maybe you can help me then.”
“What are you guys doing here? It’s not every day that someone comes crashing out of the sky. Or did you just want to ruin my garden for nothing?”
“No,” he chuckles. “I need to talk to Zeus. Is there any way my friends and I can do that?”
“I’m sure there is but you can’t do it privately. He likes to host meetings with all the gods and goddesses as a sort of touch base. One is happening very shortly.”
“Great, let’s go,” Thor says and walks past you.
“Hold on hot shot,” you say and turn to face him. “It’s an invite-only.”
“Are you invited?”
“All the children of Zeus must attend so yes, I am.”
“Great! You can get us in.”
You walk toward Thor and put a hand on his very muscular chest.
“Why would I reward you for ruining my garden?”
“I’m sorry?”
“No, I don’t want your apology.”
“What do you want?”
“I want a kiss. Right here,” you point to your cheek.
“Really? Okay,” Thor shrugs.
Thor leans down to press a kiss to your cheek but you move your face at the last second so that your own lips capture his. He’s shocked but doesn’t pull away from you. He thought you were beautiful the second he laid eyes on you, so kissing you is a plus. Your mother is the Goddess of Marriage and Childbirth so naturally, flirting and romance come easily to you. You pull away from him after a couple of minutes and produce a ticket for him.
“Wait, I have three friends with me.”
“No, only you,” you smirk and walk away from him.
You should have known he was going to find some way to get his friends into the meeting. You’re sitting next to your siblings and mother but notice four people walk in wearing disguises. You can see past Thor’s disguise and can only assume his three friends are the other ones in disguise. Thor scans the area until his eyes land on yours. You smile and shake your head to which he shyly shrugs.
“Zeus! Zeus! Zeus!” everyone chants to welcome the most powerful God.
A thundercloud appears high in the room as he creates a platform for himself and his entourage. Everyone cheers when he makes an appearance but you roll your eyes in boredom. He conjures his special thunderbolt and throws it into the air. It splits into several smaller bolts and flies into the air all around the room.
As soon as the introduction is over, everyone falls silent so that they can hear what Zeus has to say.
“First order of business is where we should hold the orgy!” Disgust fills your face at the thought of participating. “The second order of business is to discuss the winners for the most human souls sacrificed in the name of a God.”
You groan and face plant into the palm of your hand wishing you could be anywhere but here. Thor’s whispers to his friends can be heard even from where you’re sitting, and that doesn’t go unnoticed by Zeus.
“Excuse me, who is talking?” Zeus asks and everyone looks at Thor. “You there! Why are you interrupting me?” Thor stands up to talk but is a bit quiet due to being put on the spot. “No, I can’t hear you. Please come up to the stage.”
Thor hates being put on the spot like that but knows this has to happen. He makes his way to the stage in front of everyone nervously. Now that he has everyone’s attention, he begins talking about the real reason why he’s here.
“Gods of the universe, I come here to ask for your help, to raise an army. Gorr, the God Butcher has made himself known and is slaughtering Gods in his path. He’s left nothing but chaos in his wake. With your help, we can crush him before he kills anyone else.”
As pressing as this issue is, Zeus isn’t interested in hearing about it.
“That guy killed a couple of low-level Gods. Boo-hoo. If that’s all, go back to your seat and be quiet.”
“Did you not hear what I just said? He’s murdering en masse.”
“I’ll tell you this one time. Sit down and be quiet or else you won’t get invited to the orgy.”
Of course, your dad will pass this off as nothing.
“Zeus, we must do something! You have to listen to us!”
Zeus gets impatient and sends bolts of lightning to Thor’s wrists which he shackles to the ground so he can’t go anywhere. Zeus’ platform lowers to the stage so he can be closer to him.
“I’m going to take off your disguise so I can see you for who you really are.” Zeus flicks the clothes off Thor but flicks too hard and ends up stripping him naked. Your mouth drops open at the sight of his cock. He’s really big for a God. It’s not surprising given his nature, and he’s not even hard. He looks over at you and you close your mouth to give him a smile and a thumbs up. “What about the others? Should I flick them too?”
“Nope! Disguise gone!”
All three of his friends stand and take off their disguises so the same thing won’t happen to them.
“Ah, Asgardians. I thought we’d seen the last of you when Odin died. You are Thor, the God of Thunder.”
“Zeus, this is bigger than us. He’s taken Asgardian children!”
“Who do you think we are? The God police? Every God watches over their own people so Asgardian problems are Asgardian problems.”
“Why won’t you listen to what he has to say?” you ask loudly and stand up. “People are dying and you don’t even care?”
“Sit down young lady,” your father points to you.
“Y/N, sit,” your mother says and yanks you back down to your seat.
“How the mighty have fallen. My hero, Zeus, afraid,” Thor glares.
Everyone gasps at the insult which Zeus doesn’t take lightly. He leaves his platform and steps onto the stage. He walks over to Thor to speak to him privately even though there are hundreds of eyes on them.
“A couple of things,” Zeus says quietly to Thor and gets really close to him. “Yes, I am scared. Gorr has the Necrosword which means he can kill us. Not good. Two, I know you’re trying to do the right thing. I understand and admire that about you, but all you’re going to do is cause panic and that’s not good. We are safe here. You, my friend, are safe here. Three, don’t talk back to me. I flicked too hard. I’ll put your clothes back on.”
Zeus steps back and uses his power to put clothes back on Thor, and you find yourself wishing he kept them off.
“If you’re not going to help us, then let us use your weapon,” Thor suggests. “We need your lightning bolt.”
“My lightning bolt is called Thunderbolt. If you’re going to use someone’s secret weapon then you should at least get the name right when you ask.”
“Fine, can I borrow Thunderbolt?”
Thunderbolt!” Zeus yells and summons his weapon. He begins showing off the thunderbolt by throwing it in the air, spinning it on his finger like a basketball, and snapping it in half only to slam it together. He turns and throws Thunderbolt into the backdrop where his throne sits. You roll your eyes at the way he’s behaving.
“No!” Zeus smirks. “Don’t worry, the God Butcher won’t reach Eternity!”
The smile is lost from your face at the mention of Eternity. Every universe in the multiverse compiles into one being called Eternity. Whoever reaches it first will be granted their desires. What might happen if the God Butcher reaches it first? What might be his desire?
“If he seeks the Eternity altar, that means he could wipe us out at once,” Thor says. “Zeus, we must act now.”
“He won’t reach it. He doesn't have the key.”
“Fine, then we’ll just have to go at this alone.”
“I don’t think so,” Zeus smirks. “This place is known only to Gods and if you leave, the God Butcher could use you to gain our location. This isn’t good. Now you must stay. Guards!”
Four guards walk onto the stage to take Thor prisoner and he looks over at his friends.
“Hey, can we go with my plan now?” Valkyrie asks.
“Yes.”
“Hell yeah!” Jane shouts and throws her hammer at a guard, killing him.
All three of his friends and Thor attack the guards that come onto the stage, and you watch with shock at the fight. Thor and his friends seem to be doing okay at killing every guard that comes onto the stage, and Zeus takes this as a sign to step in. He grabs Thunderbolt and throws it at one of Thor’s friends, Korg. Thunderbolt penetrates his chest and is summoned back to Zeus.
“Korg!” Thor yells.
“Thor, I’m perishing!”
Korg crumbles to rocks and Thor turns to Zeus with anger in his eyes.
“You’re next Odinson!”
Zeus throws Thunderbolt at Thor but the God catches it in his hand. His eyes shine bright blue with electricity and turn Thunderbolt into a blue one. He throws it back at Zeus which goes straight through his heart. You gasp and stand up as you witness your father fall to the ground dead.
More guards come rushing in to avenge Zeus’ death as Thor goes to his rock friend. He’s not dead but he doesn’t have a body. He’s only a face that they can use. Valkyrie ties him to her back as she fights, and he sounds the mystical whistle to call for the goats. Seconds later the same boat that crashed into your garden comes crashing through the glass skylight. The goats fly around everywhere without a place to land.
This is it. This is your opportunity to get the hell out of Olympus. You use all your strength to jump onto the platform high in the sky and grab Thunderbolt. Thor jumps onto the platform to see you with the weapon he needs in your hand. Everyone else is already on the ship so it’s now or never.
You can either go with them or hand over the weapon.
“Well, what is it going to be?”
You look at your mother who gives you a thumbs up. That’s all you need to make a decision.
“I’m coming with you.”
“Let’s go,” he chuckles.
You two jump onto the boat just as Thor uses Stormbreaker to put his war clothes back on. This is it. This is the adventure you’ve been wishing for.

To Kill a God
Summary: The mission – Assassination of Loki Laufeyson.
Warnings: Light control and dominance, loathing, spanking, smut.
A/N: We're just gonna pretend the events takes a different route after the Battle of New York.
Personal A/N: Apologies for how long it's been. Was dealing with some personal things, including a pretty bad injury that I'm now recovering from. I also tend to write really slow. Please enjoy! Comments/feedback & reblogs are always much appreciated! 💚
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Nights like these were the best time to work. Silent, still, dark. A hunter on a mission for the next prey. But this one was new; you'd never hunted a god before. Breaths were drawn slow, methodical, focused. Keep your heart rate down, keep your steps in check.
You had been kept in the shadows of the Avengers, not fitting in with the pretty boy heros, genius doctors, or sexy vixens. You were a wallflower, a nightcrawler.
Sure, Black Widow, she was cute with her fancy moves and killer body. But you? They never even hear you coming.
With grace and stealth, you had slipped into Asgard undetected when the portal opened up to take Thor and Loki home after the Battle of New York. The rush to this new world had been nauseating, but with breaths through your nose to compose yourself, you slipped into the shadows.
The streets of Asgard were crowded and foreign, vendors shouting to grab your attention, new smells, twinkling lights and glimmering colors. A fine silk robe was lifted from a distracted shopkeeper, promising yourself that you'd return it once the mission was complete.
In only a few hours, you had worked your so-called magic to obtain the intel needed and now stood in the main hall of the Asgard royal prison. It had taken a bit of eavesdropping on a table of drunken guards and the power of persuasion with another to allow you entry into the palace's main gates. A small amount of combat and you had forced your way into the prison compound.
Adrenaline pulsed through your veins, knowing you were close. Turning the corner, the prisoners were found fast asleep in their glass panel prison cells. And then, you stopped in your tracks and held your breath. The raven haired terror, that pathetic excuse for a god, slept only a few meters from you. He looked peaceful, almost gentle, but looks were deceiving. You reminded yourself that he was ruthless and cruel, but not for long.
Knowing there were only minutes before a slew of Asgardian guards would come rushing in, you worked diligently to shut down the currents running through the security system. Loki stirred in his bed, but didn't awaken. The dagger was heavy, but it was all that was needed to finish the mission.
Hand firmly on the hilt, you took quiet, determined steps to his bed, taking one last look at the god in front of you, then bared your weight as you went for his heart. But there was no impact as his body faded away to nothing.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
How peculiar it was, these small other worldly creatures who thought they could defeat a god. In the shadows, he tsked at the young thing in front of him. So impatient, so immature. Who did they think he was? He emerged slowly, a sinister smile dancing on his face. You turned abruptly, eyes going wide knowing your advantage was lost…or had never been there to begin with.
"Did you really think you could slay me?" He chuckled to himself, very amused by this predicament. "I assure you, girl, it will take more than a knife and leather leggings to take down the god of mischief."
With a futile attempt, you lunged at him. He grabbed you like a rag doll, twisting your arm in an awkward angle until the metal clanged on the floor. A whimper escaped and he let go before it dislocated, only to wrap his hands around your throat and bring you to eye level with him. He watched in satisfaction as you struggled, choking and clawing at his hands.
"Don't worry pet," he leaned in closely to whisper in your ear. "I won't kill you, not yet. There'd be no fun in that."
He drew a finger down the side of your face, relishing in the thoughts of all the things he could do to his new captive, when a booming voice echoed through the prison corridor. "LOKI?!"
He sighed to himself in annoyance, always the killjoy to his fun. "Here, brother."
Thor stood in front of the prison cell, taking in the scene before him: Loki standing calm and poised, a small girl held at arm's length from the neck, face turning red, toes dragging on the ground. "What's going on here?"
"Well, dear brother, it appears our security is not what it once was. I caught this one lurking around." Your eyes darted to his. Why did he withhold the truth?
Thor squinted, cocking his head to the side to get a better look at you. And then, your name left his lips like an incredulous question.
Loki's face went from a look of surprise at his brother's recognition of you to amusement at what this meant. "You're Midgardian," he mused.
"Loki, release her," Thor demanded, hearing you struggle in his grip.
"I'll tell you what. Allow me to go back to my chambers freely, and this little minx will be handed over to your care."
"Loki…" Thor gave a gutteral warning. He was treading on thin ice, but they both knew who had the upper hand.
"It's a fair trade. It's clear she is important to you." Loki's eyes locked on yours. "Release me…or I crush her windpipe."
You flailed uselessly in a panic, his grip growing tighter, causing your eyes to water, face slowly turning to shades of purple.
"Fine, Loki! Go back to your chambers."
A look of satisfaction as he dropped you to the floor. You collapsed and breathed in deeply, rubbing the sensitive skin around your neck. Thor called the guards: two to escort you back to his personal chambers and another two to allow Loki free access to his wing.
Loki stepped over you as he left, clearly pleased with how his evening was ending. This wasn't over, but it was for now.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Thor had given you free reign of his chambers for the time being, instructing a few maidens to assist with your care, tending to any wounds, assisting with bathing and dress, although you insisted on doing the majority yourself. He found you the next morning after some rest, fully pampered and lounging on a chaise, feet and shoulders massaged by maidens.
"I could get used to the life of a prince," you teased when he came into the chambers. He ignored your jest and sat down looking troubled.
"Leave us," he ordered the maidens, watching until they filed out of the room. When the door shut, he turned to face you. "I have spent the last few hours trying to comprehend why you would come to Asgard without my knowing, and have yet to come up with a reason that doesn't involve violence." Your arms folded as he looked for any admission of guilt.
"It's classified, Thor." Your voice stayed steady and strong, and his jaw tightened. He grabbed a goblet from a nearby table and threw it against the wall, making it shatter, but you didn't flinch.
"I will remind you," he said slowly, "that right now you are on my planet, and not under Tony's protection."
You blinked at the mention of your employer and ally's name.
"You know I won't break, Thor. If I were a threat, wouldn't Loki have requested to have me locked up in one of your prison cells?" Thor considered your words. "In any case, I will leave you in peace and return to Midgard. I'm sure you have enough to deal with right now."
"No…. I think you'll stay as our guest for a while. We have some chambers available on the east wing." Your stomach twisted at what his words really meant. A guest, disguised as a prisoner. Thor stared you down.
"And, if I refuse?"
Now Thor crossed his arms, leaning back on the chaise. "You've seen our prison cells. They can be quite accommodating as well."
You smiled at his offer. "The east wing will be fine."
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
The maidens took lead to the east wing; you attempted to map the halls to memory, but after the twelfth turn, considered it was futile. You'd be lucky to find your way to freedom, let alone finding your primary target.
A brunette opened the door to the chambers, a hand held out to guide you in. "If you need anything, we will be right outside to assist."
Great, I have watchdogs.
The rest of the afternoon was spent in the adjoining apartments, studying from the open window the trimmed gardens, the various exits, the guards that roamed the outer courts and how often they changed. When your stomach started to rumble with hunger, like clockwork there was a light knock on the door, followed by a maiden poking her head in.
"Excuse me, my lady. Your presence is requested in the dining hall."
As you followed the silent maidens, you tried speaking as casually as possible. "Is Loki's chambers in the east wing?"
"No, my lady."
You frowned. "I would assume he has a full wing to himself?"
"If the prince wishes for you to know where his chambers are, he will show you the way."
The other maiden giggled quietly, then pulled herself together quickly before being seen. No doubt they assumed you were looking to bed the prince, not that you would correct them if it took focus off the real reason to be here.
The dining hall was as elaborate as it was giant; high backed velvet chairs, a table that went on forever it seemed, vaulted ceilings adored with golden arches and cherubs, servants stationed every few meters. It was hard not to feel completely out of place, but Thor made you feel welcomed enough, having plate after plate of the most decadent food placed in front of you. You had to hand it to Thor, he had learned to become more sly, perhaps by watching how others on the team worked. He made small talk about Midgard and the team, but would casually add a question here and there about why you were in Asgard.
You were tight lipped; it would take more than being wined and dined to make something slip. Mid-conversation, the door creaked and the guards and servants straightened up. Footsteps clicked on the marble floor around the corner out of view, but you already knew who was approaching.
When he appeared, his eyes darted from Thor to you but his face was like a stone, unreadable. He tilted his head to consider you, no doubt admiring the marks he'd left on your neck the night before. "Have we lowered ourselves to now dine with common criminals?"
He watched as your jaw set and heard Thor's booming laugh. "Loki, I'd like you to formally meet my friend–"
At the mention of your name, he scoffed. "We met. Might I advise that you be more particular in who you acquaint yourself with, brother."
"Like you?" Arms crossed, you leaned in the chair in defense. He was as annoying as he was cocky.
He watched the pulsing of the vein in your neck, the slight reddening of your face; he was getting under your skin. Good.
"My dear, I have more greatness in the tip of my finger than you in your entire being."
You scoffed. "Greatness, huh? Seems like that greatness delusion is what brought you back up here in chains."
"And yet," he said, holding out his arms, "no chains. Although, I guess I have you to thank for that."
Internally, you were screaming. Fantasies of diving across the table to gouge out his eyes and claw his face played in your mind. He was insufferable. Agitating. Annoying.
You needed to finish this mission and escape Asgard. The sooner this world was rid of Loki Laueyson, the better.
You stood, your plate of food unfinished, turning to Thor with a plastered smile. "Thank you for the lovely meal, Thor. Please, excuse me."
You wouldn't dare look at Loki, but you could feel his eyes on you, causing the hairs to raise on the back of your neck.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
The halls had been quiet for hours and the only light in your room came from the glow of the moon and candlelight. You'd waited until it was almost inevitable that the maidens would have fallen asleep at their posting. Slipping by them was easy.
The occasional guard roamed the halls, but as you expected, was not as sharp. You slipped by two undetected, a third was put into a sleep hold and dragged into the shadows before anyone could be alerted.
The North Wing was far more rich in decor and aesthetics, with golden pillars and chandeliers. Loki's chambers were here, you were sure of it.
A sparkle of green in the shadows caught your eye. Was it a trick? Maybe, but he wouldn't take you by surprise this time.
The door was heavy and your steps were light as you entered the room. It was dark and smelled of cedar and leather. He was nowhere in sight, but you still kept to the walls.
A faint flicker of light in the next room caught your attention, a crackling fireplace, and there he appeared, reading in an oversized plush chair.
"You know, you're not as subtle as you think." He flipped the page, not even giving you the courtesy of looking up. "Thor had mentioned you were stealthy like a cat or something, but my oaf of a brother has about as much stealth as you do."
Your cheeks reddened in spite of yourself. He was absolutely infuriating. "Why did you lie?"
He finally looked up from his book, sliding a bookmark into the crease, a smirk playing on his lips. "You do realize that I'm the god of lies, don't you?"
"You could have told Thor why I was there, what I tried to do, and have me locked up. Why didn't you tell him?"
He made you feel so small when he stood, setting the book on a nearby coffee table. "Now where would the fun in that be?"
Taken aback, you blinked in response. "This…. This isn't a game."
He tsked and long daggers were revealed in his hands. "Darling, it's the best game there is."
He came forward at a fast pace. Your own weapons were drawn from your belt, ready to attack. Metal clashed in the middle of his study. He was impressed by your speed and agility, but he caused the first cut, a minor wound on your bicep. You responded by kicking him off his feet to pin him to the ground for only a moment before he flipped you over your head, losing one of your daggers in the process. With your hand free and he distracted, your fist made contact with his face.
A slur of curses were emitted. "You'll pay for that."
"We'll see." You smiled cockily, coming at him, but he was ready and provoked. One minute you had attacked him, a swipe of your blade and another punch blocked. The next minute, you were bent over and pinned to his desk. One of his hands had grasped your wrist, still gripping the dagger, the other hand on the back of your head. His body pressed into yours as you writhed and struggled, bucking your hips, kicking your leg out, but he was much too heavy.
"Let me know when you're ready to yield." He was very amused.
"Fuck you."
He laughed in a huff. The grip on your wrist went tighter. "Drop it," he demanded.
Any attempt at freeing yourself was proved useless. The dagger clattered on the desk and he tossed it aside, his own going back into his invisible pocket.
"Good girl. Now tell me you yield."
Silence. You'd rather die than give him the satisfaction.
"Suit yourself," he said. "It seems to me like you Midgardians need to be taught some manners." And slowly, his hand was brought to your back, running down the length of your spine. Teeth clenched, eyes squeezed shut, you tried to remove yourself from the moment, knowing more than likely what was coming from the dominant, power-hungry male. But then, smack!
Your eyes shot open, the sting of your ass cheek startling you. Another hard spank, the sting almost making you yelp as your body went forward.
"Now," he said calmly, evenly in your ear as you looked straight ahead. "You have two options." Smack! "One, you stop being stubborn and admit your defeat." Smack! "Or two, you stay on this desk until I decide you've learned that lesson." Smack!
Your legs trembled as you held onto the edge of the desk. You hated him, hated this… and yet, a warm ache started to slowly whisper within. No, you couldn't… With every ounce of strength, you tried to block it out. "What… what are you gonna do to me?"
He chuckled and you couldn't quite tell if it was out of amusement or something darker. "Not to worry, my pet. I only bed willing participants."
His hand rested on the small of your back and he leaned forward. "Now, tell me. Have you learned your lesson?"
He caught your eye and you struggled to answer. How did you reply without letting him win? Maybe, if you said yes, he would lower his defenses and then you'd— Another spank caught you by surprise and a yelp escaped in spite of yourself. "I asked you a question and do not enjoy repeating myself."
You took a shaky breath, he had you so off guard and you hated how it was making you feel.
Looking up, you gave him the best innocent look you could muster and nodded slowly. He reached for the back of your head, gripping your hair to tilt your head up towards him with a jerk. "Have you?"
"Yes," you choked out. You hated him! You hated him! You hated him!
He considered you, bent over his desk, head bent back violently so, breathing heavily and shaking, and then, he just let you go. You stood after a beat, confused and feeling embarrassed.
"Leave," he demanded, walking out of the study to another room. Red-faced, your stomach churned. Did he seriously just…
"Hey!" you shouted, following his path to the other room, but when you got there, he was gone. Searching room by room, your anger built as you found each one empty.
A rage burned through your veins as you stormed down the hall toward Thor's chambers. You were done with this mission, with these stupid mind games, with the princes of Asgard. You wanted to go home and call the mission what it was–a failure.
Done with courtesy and manners, you barged into his chambers without warning. "Thor, I need to talk to you–"
The words caught in your throat as you stopped in your tracks, finding Loki already there. Thor said your name like a pleasant surprise. "You look an absolute wreck! Are you alright?"
"Wha–" the words caught in your throat as you looked down at your shifted top, feeling your face redden, hair a mess.
"Well, no matter," Thor continued. "Your ears must be ringing, we were just discussing your return to Midgard."
"You… you were?"
Loki's lack of eye contact was not lost on you.
"Indeed," Thor continued. "My brother believes that we have no use of you here and should send you back immediately. His words, not mine." Thor laughed, caused by your startled expression and Loki's uncharacteristic silence. "But, as neither of you are willing to speak freely on what matters are going on, I reject this request."
Both you and Loki raised your voices, you taking a step forward. How long did he plan to keep you here against your will?
Thor raised his hand. "You both think me a fool, but until I know why you are here, I will not change my mind. Classified or not."
Your jaw clenched, fists tightened, and you stormed out of his chambers, slamming the door behind you.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Loki winced as the door slammed. "I don't believe she was happy with your decision."
"No, I think not. Anything you care to tell me?"
Loki shook his head. "There is nothing to tell. She's a nuisance and Asgard should be rid of her."
Thor placed his hand on his brother's shoulder. "Loki, you may be the god of lies, but even I can see through this one."
Loki left the chambers deep in thought. He absolutely despised Midgardians–mortals who risked their lives every day, absolute fools they were. Pompous, annoying little gremlins.
And yet, he had enjoyed the little game he was playing with you. You were a challenge for him and getting under your skin was pure pleasure. But, there was something in the look you gave him as he held your head up that he knew. It made him realize he was playing with fire, and this game was getting too dangerous. He needed to rid himself of you.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Almost a week had passed and he hadn't reappeared. You'd toured the gardens, the library, the royal throne room, dined in their mess hall and terrace multiple times; it was clear by day three that he was actively avoiding you, and somehow that was even more irksome. It should have been a relief to be rid of his annoying presence, but you were equally on edge. What if he caught you off guard? The possibilities of what would happen were endless with that twisted mind of his. Torture you? Strangle you at night? The nights were restless, with every creak and whistle of wind making you jump.
By day five, enough was enough. If Thor wouldn't budge in sending you home and Loki wouldn't show himself, you would take matters into your own hands.
The nightly strolls through the halls were becoming commonplace, and it wasn't long before the familiar chamber doors stood before you again. The rooms were illuminated by moonlight. He was deep asleep in his bed, bare-chested with only a sheet to cover him at the hips. Your dagger was unsheathed and slowly you pressed it to his neck. His eyes opened and he took a sharp breath inward.
"Don't move," you whispered.
"Alright." His voice was steady.
"You're going to help me leave this planet."
His eyebrows raised in surprise. "Am I?"
"Yes."
"And…what if I refuse?"
You pressed the dagger harder to his neck. He could see the desperation on your face. "I don't think you are in a position to refuse."
He smirked at you, like he understood a joke you weren't in on. "Didn't you come to Asgard to kill me?"
He was absolutely the most abhorrent person you'd ever met. Why would he bring this up? Should you kill him? He was right there, the knife pressed to his neck. One swipe and…
He grabbed onto your arms, taking you out of your thoughts and pulling you closer to him. "Do it."
You blinked and froze. Something in your stomach twisted. "I… I can't. Why can't I kill you?"
In a quick motion, he rolled you onto your back, his weight heavy. Your hand shook and he leaned in, pressing down on the dagger, further and further, until his lips met yours. Your breath was lost and the dagger slipped between the two of you to clatter onto the floor. He gripped onto your clothes, pulling and tearing and breaking.
He wasn't gentle, wasn't kind. There was no room for romance or making love. It was carnal, rough. A desire that neither wanted to admit to themselves.
Pain in the most pleasurable form, as his lips pressed hard onto yours. As clothing was torn in desperation. As your undergarments were stretched and discarded until you were just as naked as he. His eyes and mouth and fingers explored the areas only meant for a lover.
His long digits played with your silky folds before delving into the warm wet center, causing you to shiver in delight. You reached down between your bodies to grasp on an already stiff cock, making it throb, a moan emitting from him like an ache that hadn't been relieved in years, before he took your hand from beneath him and placed it above your head. In a swiftness, he sheathed himself inside you, causing your eyes to grow large, your head to come forward, your teeth to sink into his skin. He shifted, looking down at you, the minx who had wanted him dead, and thought how beautiful and fragile you were. He could have snapped you in two like a twig if he had wished it. Instead, he'd punish you until you came, over and over again; tattooing his existence on your soul for the rest of your eternity.
The angle of his cock rubbed in a way you'd never felt before by any Midgardian man, and soon your body was convulsing below him. He let you ride out your high before flipping you onto your stomach and penetrating from behind. A shaky high-pitched moan emitted from you, making him smile in satisfaction. He wrapped his hands around your throat, bringing your head up higher to whisper with a smile, "I think you've admitted your defeat."
"You never shut up, do you?"
"Never."
With a smack of your bottom, he thrust into you until he was spent and you were ruined. The silky sheets of his bed melted into your skin as you lay quiet in thought after. You didn't fail missions. You also didn't fuck them. Contemplating what you'd write on your report, Loki emerged from the other room, dressed and ready to take you back to Midgard. He handed you the clothes you first arrived on this planet in.
As you dressed, preparing for your arrival back home, you studied him. He was, without a doubt, the most abhorrent, irritating person you'd ever met. And yet, something drew you to him that you didn't understand.
"Alright," he said when he saw you were dressed. "Let's get you back to where you belong." You nodded, wondering if you'd ever see him again, hoping you wouldn't…but not for the reason you'd expect.

This is the fifth time Peter has been inside your lab asking you to fix him. He’s a good kid but if he keeps this up, he’s not going to want to be Spiderman anymore.
“Peter, you’re going to break your arm if you keep swinging around recklessly. I told you to stay out of construction zones.”
“Yeah, I know,” he chuckles.
You finish sewing the small cut he has on his arm. He has fast-healing powers but he still comes to you whenever he is injured.
“Okay, you’re all good to go. Do you want a lollipop?”
“Do you have one?” he asks seriously.
“No, get out of here,” you laugh. “No heavy lifting for a few days. You don’t want your stitches to break.”
“You got it, Doc. Thanks.”
He leaves your office and you start to clean up for the next patient. Currently, you’re the onsite doctor for the Avengers. Some of them have healing powers but you get to fix up people like Natasha, Bruce, Clint, Tony, and anyone else who is in need of medical attention. Before joining the team, you were a trauma surgeon and a nurse before that. You’re the one who is best qualified to be the doctor on the team.
When Loki attacked New York in 2012, your hospital was one of the ones that got hit. You tried your best to keep up with everyone and transfer them to somewhere else. Tony got injured after putting the nuke in the portal, and you were the one to fix him up. Ever since that, you’ve been exclusively with the team.
The job can be demanding but you love helping people. Your charming personality makes it easy to get along with everyone but there is one person who you can’t stand: Thor. He thinks he’s high and mighty and can do whatever he wants without consequence. You’re not going to fall for him and his big muscles and charming personality. You’ve dated someone like Thor before. Never again.
You put the medical supplies that you’ve used on Peter into the hazardous waste bucket and grab new tools you know you’re going to need. Half of the team is out on a mission and will likely be looking for you once they come back so you have to get your lab ready.
The team comes back with Thor weighing heavily on both Steve and Tony. He is badly injured on his stomach, and you clear your medical bed so he can lie on it.
“What happened to him?”
“Got caught in the crossfire. Can you fix him?”
“Is that a question you just asked me? Go away. I got this.”
Thor passed out from the pain so he’s out when you start to clean him up. You grab a new needle and some stitches to sew his skin back together. You hope he’s going to be out for the whole time but your prayers aren’t answered. Thor gasps awake and tries to move but you push him back down on the table.
“Don’t move when I have a needle near your skin.”
“What happened?”
“You got hurt. I don’t know. I wasn’t there.”
You slip the needle through both sides of his wound and tie the stitch together. You look up at his abs which are glistening with sweat. You can’t help but stare at how good he looks.
“I thought you hated me. Why are you fixing me?”
“I may not like you, but I’m not heartless. I’ll still do my best to fix you up like I would with anyone.”
You place your hand on his abs to get a better angle as you use your other hand to sew his skin together.
“Oh, I see what’s happening. You just wanted an excuse to touch me,” he smirks.
“Don’t flatter yourself. I need you to be still.”
You work as quickly as you can so he can get the hell out of your lab. When you’re done sewing, you take some gauze and place it over his wound to keep it clean. You use skin tape to keep the gauze in place.
“Okay, don’t move too much or your stitches will open.”
You go to move but he grabs your hand to stop you.
“I might need help to my room.”
“You can walk,” you roll your eyes. “You are the most dramatic man I’ve ever met, and I’ve met Loki.”
“No, no, no, I can’t walk. Please.”
“You’re a big baby,” you sigh. “Come on.”
You help him off the table and let him use your body as a support system. You escort him to his room and almost shove him onto his bed. Almost.
“Can I have some water?” he croaks.
“Sure.”
You get him a glass of water.
“Can you get me an extra blanket?”
“Fine.”
You toss another blanket on him.
“Can you tuck me in?”
“Okay, I am not your mom. Tuck yourself in.” You walk to his door but you don’t leave it. “You know, I could have let you fend for yourself. I didn’t have to help you.”
“You don’t have it in you,” he smirks.
“You have what you need. Don’t bother me.”
“Thank you, Doctor.”
You roll your eyes to act like you’re annoyed but you have a smile on your face. Okay, maybe you don’t hate him as much as you say you do.
