Also, fun fact, the physical drawing was originally just supposed to be a concept doodle that I was gonna redraw on a different paper but I uh, got carried away..

Anyways!!! Little info dump below the cut on the relationship between the 3 of them bc @dustmint asked about it and I thought I'd share my response here too, teehee

OKAY, SO, HOW JEKYLL AND HYDE ACT TOWARDS HARRY:

I do firmly believe that Hyde fights Harry more Aggressively and outright, on board to do whatever it takes to get rid of him (or at least out of control) , while Jekyll took a bit more convincing (mostly once he was done freaking out over the fact that he's a fraction of a person just like Hyde is). He definitely also hates Harry, but in a more subtle, silent way >:3 instead sorta challenging Harry mentally as opposed to physically, like Hyde wishes to. He's generally more observant and tries to strike when he thinks it best, sometimes his emotions get the best of him tho.

MORE IN DEPTH:

So, once they figure out what/who Harry is from his lil journals in the mind scape, Jekyll may or may not have an identity crisis (he definitely does) but once he kinda gets through that he just feels bad for Harry, being locked away in the mind scape so long and dealing with everything there and such. Plus, Harry is seemingly their whole parts (their previously whole parts, at the least), so Jekyll certainly doesn't want him to die or anything. Hyde doesn't really feel too strongly about him right off the bat, more so just annoyed that Harry took control and now he's stuck in the mind scape with Jekyll.

Though!! Things change once Harry kinda shows his resentment towards the two, saying that he wouldn't be letting them out anytime soon, and revealing how he plans to reverse the potion. This immediately sends Hyde into feral dog mode, trying to use literally everything he can to absolutely break Harry and gain control back. Jekyll is still a bit reluctant for a while, but eventually starts siding more with Hyde, plotting how to gain control back or take care of Harry without killing all of them, bc ofc they don't wanna die.

But yeah, between sending out nightmares, forcing the heart palpitations and such by fighting, or just being a general nuisance (most all of which are usually by Hyde) it's not really surprising that the resentment Harry already had towards them grows lmao.

He does eventually find out that those little phantom strings he can still see around his wrists and such can kinda be used to vaguely control/subdue his other halves. Yeah, he threatens them a lot.

Also!!! Jekyll and Hyde start getting along better, but definitely still bicker and shit occasionally (which tends to piss Harry off a bit, since he's been so fed up with their fighting and refusing to be one for so long, it just ticks him off very easily). Jekyll also feels really jealous of Harry bc of how he seems to be able to fix things so easily (and his blooming relationship with Lanyon ofc)

Anyways!! That's all I got for now lmao. Lots of character development for Harry lately. Man, I really need to start doing stuff with Elias again 💀

i also want to gush about him a lil bit if that's ok. he's my special boy. i told u before that his name is indy, but i mostly call him nicknames likee... little tiny, little lion, funny dog, little critter, buddy, homie, lil man... most of them start with little bc he is small. to me...

he's a very chatty boy. i like talking to him like he's just a guy. and he meows back like we're having a conversation. his little canines poke out when his mouth is closed and it's the cutest thing ever, u can probably see it in some of the pictures. he also makes biscuits in the air when he's rlly happy + relaxed, and he purrs a lot, but when he's really, really happy, he trills too. he loves being held and cuddling;_; sometimes i like to pick him up and show him around my room, let him look at the tops of my desk and my bookshelf, or the inside of my closet. he likes to look around^^ he's very very soft. sometimes i just put my face in his fur and sit there for a bit. it's calming. he loves that too, surprisingly. i wish u could do it too...

he's 3 or 4! not sure which, or when his birthday is. me and my roommate actually just got him back in..... november? december? so about 3 or 4 months ago. we got him from my cousin, who's moving into a new place with someone who's allergic to cats, so they couldn't take him with them. i actually wasn't sure if we would get along at first! i thought he would like my roommate more, since he already knew her before we got him. he's pretty skittish, but he's warmed up to me plenty by now. i just had to be patient^^

ive lived with and cared for cats in the past, but this is the first time ive ever had one of my own. ive been a little nervous about it, honestly. i really love him and i dont want to be a bad pet parent. my roommate takes care of him too, so im not on my own, but im still adjusting to the responsibility. i just worry sometimes that i might misinterpret his behaviors.. i think it's mostly irrational, haha. cats don't pretend to like people, yea? he wouldnt flop down in my lap and purr and stare at me and cling to me if he didnt like me, right? im pretty sure. i still worry a bit though since this is a bit new to me. im trying my best tho. and he seems happy and healthy, so we're probably doing something right. anyway^^

I just feel like we spent a lot of time with characters we had already explored (silco Felicia vander) and characters we don't really have any reason to know (kino), we got black rose for no reason, I feel like Mel could have been such a great push back against Ambessa, let her outfox the wolf, let her be the mediating voice for Caitlyn rather then creating Maddy to pat Cait on the back and say "Ur a good person x"

Maddy has no value and having Caitlyn sleep with someone regardless of how little she seemed emotionally invested feels like lazy shock value, if Maddy was used as a stand in to show that Caitlyn is doing everything she can to stop thinking about Vi then I'd see it as a characte development but it wasn't, she was just there and then she wasn't.

Caitlyn was so under utilised, I thought I was going to see this new arc, where she decends into a form of jinx derangement, where she gets lost in her fear of jinx and have her slowly start to unravel the wool that Ambessa placed over her eyes, but that's not what we got. Vi, my sweet angel, I was told by the show runners that this was going to be her season, we are going to see her at her lowest, explore who Vi is when she has no one to protect, but we literally did not get that at all. Within minutes of seeing Jinx she is back on buddy terms, they have playful banter and they are cuddling Warwick. Vi was not given any development, she was just given a dog to protect instead.

Also, Vi was hit in the face twice by the people who deserved to be slapped and that upsets me just because lol.

Isha is lazy to me, she was given to Jinx to be a stand in for her younger self because writing Jinx as someone who has to come to her own senses by taking accountability is just not something the writers could do apparently. We needed a physical embodiment of her former self to get her to care about her actions and she was used to develop Jinxes empathy while the lives of the people Jinx ruined (vi, caitlyn, sevika, the undercity) crumbles around her.

Viktors arc felt like I was watching a different show, it felt uncanny, unlike Arcane and any time he went into his weird cosmos I cringed, Skye being there drove me crazy too, this girl meant nothing to Viktor, she didn't even call her by her first name. They were colleagues, and she had unrequited feelings.

Mel and the black rose felt like they threw Mel in a hole (literally) for 2 eps and brought her back because ??

Where is Sevika? Where is ekko? Where is heimerdinger?

((( I fucked with Jayce this act tho, he kept his word and he's seen the horrors, he's recalibrated to Heimerdingers perspective and it was a journey for him, he came back to fix his mistakes and he looks great doing it)))

I have so many feelings and I'm not the best at articulating them in a way that captures exactly what I'm talking about so I'm sorry if you didn't get much out of this.

It had an emotional weight to it because Arcane always delivers visually and musically, I swear if arcane directed a scene where I dropped my sandwich on the ground they could make that a masterpiece and the audience would be balling their eyes out, they know how to create atmosphere.

Arcane is the best show I've ever watched, I will always recommend it to people, and by the sound of it everyone else loved it, they got what they wanted and I'm so happy for them.

I think I just had my expectations through the roof because season one was a masterpiece.

Act 3 this weekend and the end of arcane, I'm nervous and I truly hope we all end up happy.

First, Treebark. There's been so many identity reveals but I think this has been my favorite thus far. Ren going all protective boyfriend and fighting over Martyn was SO GOOD, plus soft kisses and they can just hold hands now without Ren being afraid he'll figure it out. Also loved Martyn seducing his entire family while being terrified out of his mind by big dog people with knives, like, I'd be a little out of it too. but the fam doesn't even notice but Ren did and is all supportive and comforts him, offers to take him home. I love how well they can read each other, like they're just in tune. they're soulmates, your honor. and, AND this means we can have double dates where they all know now! so excited :)))))

Zedango. this is what started me reading your stuff (the first fic I ever wrote was actually my own tt zedango ficlet, btw. that feels like an eternity ago now) I love how they've simultaneously progressed and devolved into slightly unhealthy relationship territory. something about not everything being perfect all the time just adds so much depth and realism to their relationship, as well as keeping the plot tense without feeling like you're making up problems just to have something to write about. AND THEN Tango doing the blazeborn courtship rituals was just so aaaaaaaa (THEY"RE SO ADORBSABLEEE) Tango setting aside his disgust with his claws to take care of Zed even tho its uncomfortable for him, and then Zed recognizing that and having all the warm fuzzy fondness for his bf was so sweet. Doc's notes about the rituals were on point, with how he reassures Tango that they're normal, healthy things and saying he's always open to having a conversation about it. (tho, i doubt Tango's ever taken him up on that offer lmao)

The other fic that's been in my head is ur most recent one, Handshakes and Headaches. I highly doubt we'll get a cub reveal in this next chapter, but ig we'll see soon enough. I loved how Cub just knew instantly that Grian was a hybrid and was just going in spirals putting it together that he was cuteguy, then him coming to the wrong conclusion about whether Scar knew, too, was just perfect. Tho, if he did think Scar knew and was cool with it, I wonder what he'd do first? Tell Scar his own secret, guess Grian's secret in front of them? I feel like he would think the safe thing would be to confront Scar about Grian being Cuteguy, and then if/when Scar admits it and says he's cool with it, Cub would feel safe(r) revealing his own identity. Maybe not right away, but sometime. Also, that would mean everyone in Hot Cave knows about hybrids and undercity, so he wouldn't have to glamor while he works (tho, that would also require revealing to Zed... they don't seem super close, but it's kinda obvious that Zed's chill w/ the undercity people, considering he's dating Tango and Cub knows that).

Also! now that Hypno knows G and Scar are safe, I really wanna see him revealing to Scar and Scar being all supportive and stuff :)))) Hypno wasn't someone I knew I needed in this world, but I'd die for him now. (ALSO the casual mention that his scales are dry and flaky rather than smooth and taken care of??? Hello?????? Someone get him some proper self-care ASAP, maybe take him swimming at a private pool or something idk. I feel like the moment Scar knows, he's going to be on it with the cookies and love and support. so excited hehehe)

idk if you're into alien stage so ill try not to infodump but silvan would be a rlly nice fit for this au (bc in this show, human pets are entered by their alien owners into a singing competition and they have to win to survive. the cruelty of the concept kind of lends itself to darling and silvan. also bc i remember u saying silvan can sing hehe)

but even if ur not into the show, it just led me into thinking... im not sure if the prospect of entering ur pets into competitions (kind of like a dog show?) exists in vampire darling's universe. but if it were, i can imagine darling investing a lot into silvan's talents by signing him up for classes and buying him the best performance clothes, and even incentivizing silvan with intimacy so he gives his best. especially if it were something like singing, where silvan has to be careful with his voice with darling bc he has an upcoming performance.

it also plays into prior concepts of dehumanizing silvan where you can just treat him like a showpiece and parade him and his awards around. his "glory" from contests are seen as achievements of his owner instead

but dude i love this yeah. i always love the idea of making the vampire pets do shows. tbh in my original concept every pet of a high ranking vampire was basically required to learn some kind of special skill that would make them more entertaining at parties. singing and dancing obviously but the original concept for the yandere pet was an interest in fashion so he could braid female vampires hair and compliment them on their outfits and become a little lady's boy. another pet was very knowledgeable about politics and was good at holding intelligent conversations with other vampires (but nothing too smart just like the equivalent of a child knowing a little bit about politics and everyone goes woww!! so smart!!). another was really skilled at wine tasting and had a fancy palate. things that would seem fancy and exquisite.

i think making them learn more showy skills to show off in contests is fun. like i imagine it more like a really dehumanizing beauty pageant. like silvan is brought out on stage in various outfits, drained of his blood for taste test, and then asked humiliating questions. and finally he preforms his song maybe with a little bit of dancing. he always gets either high up or wins he's a very special boy!! everyone loves to heap compliments on you for training such a good pet.

i think that also lends well to the dark side of vampire pets too hehe

Soo i wrote this to really just remind myself that even though this year was a complete disaster, it was worth staying alive after all, even if just to meet these cute guys at least. Being able to interact and connect with animals is truly a blessing, so here’s me sharing some cuteness and lore to leave my blog on a positive note and to share some wholesome stuff for once^^

(Oh and i’m not ranking the pets based on anything, it’s all just random really)

Okay let’s get started!!

1st nominee: Dundi

Literally the sweetest cat in the universe. Her name means Chubby, but like, in a very cute manner. She’s about 7 years old, we’ve had her since she was a kitten. Unfortunately, i don’t get to see her that much, as she’s an outside-cat, and she lives at my father’s place (my parents are divorced, i don’t visit all that often). She probably gets fed at least by 4 households, so it’s no wonder she’s fat cat lmao

And i really do mean it when i say Dundi’s the sweetest cat: she really likes ppl, even kids, always purrs like a chainsaw when ppl pet her, and she loves to sleep on the seat of my motorbike. We’ve kept each other company many times during new years, she was right beside me not long after i gave up on finishing my damn music project (iykyk xd).

I love her dearly💘

2nd nominee: Hamu

Her name means Ash, she’s the twin sister of Dundi. Despite looking completely identical, she couldn’t be a more different regarding the personality... Meaning: she’s a lil princess, a little bitch to be exact. And i say that with all the love and affection ofc💖

She doesn’t like to be pet (by me and my family at least lol, who knows how many other houses she frequents) and she’s a very talkative girl, she liiiives to complain. I see Hamu even less than i see her sister, but she still has such a special place in my heart

3rd nominee: Alíz

Her name is kinda the equivalent of Alice but it’s pronounced a bit differently. She used to be grandparents’ dog, she’s at least 12 years old by now. I remember playing with her a lot when i was little, i used to chase her around the garden as we both loved running. I really really cared for her a lot, and i still do… unfortunately, as the years went on, she became quite insufferable bc my grandpa spoils her way too much, no matter how much i tell him it’s no good. But well, both of them only have one another to keep each other company. I love Alíz a lot though, even if i see her extremely rarely nowadays.

4th nominee: Nymeria

The absolute love of my life. My personal antidepressant. The cutest angel who always cuddles with me in the cold.

She’s about 5 yrs old, and my flatmates’ dog. A true sneaky girl, she just has that up-to-no-good-look in her eyes. She’ll definitely kill me with her cuteness one day, that’s for sure.

I absolutely adore her, we really befriended each other FAST and she loves my company now: sometimes, she greets me at the door when i arrive, she’s always down for pets and cuddles, and each and every day she scratches a bit at my bedroom door to be let in. She then gets underneath the covers with me and we stay there for hours.

I feel a bit less lonely when Nyme is beside me and ughh i really just love her so much, can’t wait to see her again when i get back to Spain❤️

5th nominee: Chía

I’ll be honest, i’m not a huge fan of bunnies… but Chía is a very cute one unfortunately, and she seems to like me a lot despite not spending much time together lol

She’s always running in circles around my feet, and she’s a very persistent lil trespasser: for some mind blowing reason, she NEEDS to get into my room… she even jumps up at the window out on the balcony to get inside, it’s actually ridiculous. Chía’s not allowed in tho, bc she eats the wall under my bed lmao

6th nominee: Niko

He’s an 11 year old angel, literally the sweetest most innocent boy you’ll ever meet. He’s my neighbor’s dog, and during the summer i’m often asked to dog-sit him for a week or two.

He loves human company, and apparently, i was told that he often searched for me when i was away at Spain for my studies. We met up this Christmas when i returned, so i spent a day with him, he was quite happy to see me. So well, he likes me a lot and always follows me around literally EVERYWHERE when i’m with him💘

7th nominee: Cserkész

He’s my mom’s friend’s dog, his name means Scout! We were asked to visit him every day for a week, just for a few hours, so he wouldn’t be lonely while the owners went on vacation (the owners’ grandparents kept him fed, but they couldn’t be with him during the day as they had to go to work).

We got along very well, he’s such a playful cutie who enjoyes running around but he’s also absolutely down for some good pets, a real sweetheart in true form🧡

8th nominee: THE CAT

Housemate of Cserkész, and i still don’t know her name to this day… my mother dislikes cats, so she didn’t bother to ask for her name from her friend -_-

So. She’s THE CAT for now.

THE CAT is a lil baby btw, so she’s extremely playful and curious, but was very wary of us when we first visited her. She warmed up to me quickly tho, and ig her trouble-maker nature got the better of her wariness: she was constantly trying to sneak up on me when i pretended to ignore her/be unaware xd It was so cute

Ig she must have figured that i’m no danger and that i looove cats and respect their boundaries, so i was allowed close. She’s a real heartthrob, at the end of our visit she even settled on my lap for a few pets… until she got distracted 10 seconds later and sprinted away xdd

after the braiding session he asked you one question that surprised you a bit

eternal faves are my lions ofc <333 this team MEANS something to me!! i love their bond, their attitudes, their ways of always thinking outside of the box and doing crazy shit etc. and their coach!! dan campbell you absolute gem i love you so much. my fave player is amon ra (duh) but truly all of the team are my babies, even the players we haven’t drafted, traded for or got through free agency yet lmao

bills; mainly for my precious keon but the team just has great vibes overall. love how their fans are always donating to players’ causes! it’s very sweet

bengals; similar to the bills, just have great vibes. i hope they keep tee bc i can’t imagine them without the big 3! and andrei is my baby doll i love him dearly

texans; i’m ngl 90% is bc i love cj stroud to death. like he is so sweet with his shy girl personality and chubby cheeks and big eyes and glasses and and and yeah. also the other 10% is tank dell aka tankerbell. i can ignore the players i’m not fond of (stef, azeez) bc those two are still on there lmao (ik every team has bad apples tho)

chargers; cool team but damn can they get some playoff wins??? tarheeb is literally so beautiful!! big eyes and dimples!! my absolute baby. justin is cool and nonchalant. their coach is insane. they have arguably the best social media manager. good vibes all around

eagles; ik their fans get dogged on but i love their team. jalen, saquon, devonta, aj etc. just a very fun group. i have beef with cjgj and jalen carter tho… but like the texans, the other members outweigh that lol

commanders; mainly cuz of jayden but terry is also very likable imo. very promising team! excited to see what they do next season (tho they do scare me a bit after our playoff loss to them)

cardinals; not much to say here but trey mcbride has two moms and i fuck with that heavy. also kyler is cool, shoutout all the blasians out there

ravens; nate wiggins my absolute baby with his big eyes and smile. he honestly carries the team for me even as a rookie. but ofc lamar and derrick and all them are cool too. marlon however is my mortal enemy

panthers; bryce is soooo baby and cute. i love his smile <333 hopefully they do better next season cuz i gotta support my fellow cat team

colts; this team intrigues me. they’re really not serious at all which is why i like them. shoutout adonai mitchell, hope he does better next season

seahawks; mainly bc of jsn!! but they’re pretty cool as a whole. legion of boom era was A Time that i wish i was around for

buccaneers; baker mayfield endears me and mike evans seems cool (also his childhood is insane?? like hello) also best branding in the NFL by a mile. they have a pirate ship at their stadium!! coolest thing ever

steelers; annoying fanbase but unlike other teams, their roster can’t cancel that out. george pickens is annoying as hell. tj watt is a crybaby. russ is washed and corny. their best player is their kicker. free justin fields

49ers; similar to the steelers, annoying fanbase but their roster can’t cancel it out. deebo, brandon, nick, hell even brock sometimes pisses me off. george kittle is the one bright spot on that team. i’ll forever make fun of them for admitting they didn’t know the overtime rules in the fucking super bowl of all games
