This little doodle in my sketchbook isof the New Zealand rock wren, which has very long legs, as they prefer to run and hop about rather than flying. Almost done, this is the last step right before I do their individual ‘glamour photo shoot’ , it feels good to finish the job and I have more waiting in line . Usually the ceramic works take longer, each piece needs to dry for at least about a week to be bone dry before the first fire ( bisque fire) then they get their glamour colours put it ( glazing) and a second fire at higher temperatures.
