#poorly drawn mdzs #mdzs #wei wuxian #granny wen #a-yuan #It's always fascinating how colours translate from the page to the screen.#It would probably surprise a lot of people to see what some of these comics actually look like in physical form.#My lighter colours takes about 3-4 washes before it shows up on scan which means it tends to ripple the page.#And my yellows and oranges are drastically different colours when scanned compared to the ink colour.#There's about 20 or so comics where everyone's hair is purple - because it scanned in the exact same colour as my light grey.#Wait my book is right here in front of me so I can...yeah...Comics 57-77 were indeed purple.#This is all to say - is it not fascinating how what we see is often not the full truth of what the subject truly is?#Is it not fascinating to open another episode that reminds us that despite everyone's claims they could totally spot the evil YLLZ-#-The man walks around among them for months as no more than a man haggling for deals like the rest.#It's almost as if he's just a person. It's almost as if none of us - no matter what we do are really anything more than just a person.#Your good acts will be overtaken by how other's interpret you in negative light.#Just as easily are people willing to forgive crueler actions if they hold you in high esteem.#But what's real? Is the page I hold the real version of this comic? Is it the one you look at?#Is the man known as Wuxian the most himself when he is alone or on the battlefield?#Perhaps he is and has always been a scared orphan boy lost in the market.#I think there is no good answer to any of these questions.#But I do know that panic rising in WWX as he frantically looks for A-yuan was for more than one boy.#To be human is to have layers around a delicate center. We only really grow around our wounds from childhood.#In other words; Donkey from Shrek would also probably call Wei Wuxian an onion. I'll see myself out now.

I'm going to be so real here I do not think Jayce killing viktor was done well and I don't think the aftermath was either it didn't feel properly weighted in either of their psychologies and the moment itself was incredibly rushed.

#my spicy opinion of the day i would never share on twitter because things would get very annoying very fast #it happened so fast it was almost comical #fortiche did amazing but it feels they were not given the time #the way we have to slow down the scene for jayces mircoexpressions to get a sense of things #im not really looking for someone to erm actually me or try to change my mind i am very stubborn and its unlikely to work KDFJLHDSj #im sure its because old man viktor told him off screen #but i do wish they did way more to explain why jayce just started blasting then even trying to talk #my guess is the hexcore as i proposed in my fic but still #THATS A PRETTY IMPORTANT CHARACTER MOMENT YOURE LEAVING OUT #season 2s favorite thing is oh that happened off screen #show it to me rachel ???!

this is combining Ovid's Heroides and the Excidium Troie because I can't stop thinking of Hermes telling him not to be afraid. what the fuck!! Ares is wearing the crown that Paris gave him.

I have. thoughts. about Paris. he's almost got this Troilos parallel in my mind, that the event that defines him in detail exists in a lost narrative that we don't have (the Cypria), but everyone else knew. the event that defines Troilos is his death (murdered, butchered by Achilles, the violence of which haunts everything after. Achilles, child killer, you can't escape that!), and the event that defines Paris is the Judgement. what's a lost text but a kind of grave!!

idk I don't think that Paris before the Judgement would recognize himself after bc when you become god touched, it rearranges your guts. you become transformed in the worst way possible! how could you recognize yourself! but I also think that all the Parises after the Judgement would recognize each other because that event is so locked into the trauma of war and the scar it leaves on the land, it's like a scar on the narrative too. it exists like this forever, over and over again, so you exist like that forever too. Troy collects grief and despairs.

I wonder how the clones handled the transition from squeaky-clean sterile Kamino that probably offered them normal toilets to the filthy plumbing-less frontlines. Am I seriously at the point where I'm contemplating how my blorbos would shit on the job? APPARENTLY.

Anyway. Whenever my dad tells me of his outdoor days in the People's Army he also tells me of the Donnerbalken ("thunder bar") which was just a beam of wood over a big hole where soldiers would sit right next to each other for their business and. I can just picture it so well. Domino squad would do this. I don't care that modern armies cart around neat little toilet shacks or whatever. I want to believe that the clones arrange their thunder bars in an open rectangle like they're Roman foricae and have deep philosophical discussions while they sit down. Please

are.... are trans men not considered trans anymore? as in, the moment they pass consistently, or if they decide to be stealth, if they decide to be gender conforming, are they no longer trans?? this seems like an absurd question if you've touched grass recently, but this is the stance that some people appear to have on this site's niche infighting discourse spaces.

like we're either erased and misgendered in cis society or "basically cis men therefore dangerous and privileged" and malgendered in trans spaces.

the "being trans" part of my self and identity is actually a pretty big thing in my life and can't be separated from the "being a man" part.
