#twisted wonderland#twst#twst x reader#twst imagines#twst scenarios#prompted because I realized not everyone refers to their past as lore building#aka I was talking to someone about my time in uni and some fun info came up (mildly horrifying tbf)#and i presented it as lore#to which i got a blank look - for like#the first time in my whole life because i thought everyone just knew the lore situation?#nope just terminally online nerds i suppose#me. im the terminally online nerd

i've been thinking about exactly why people portraying one of the other crew members successfully killing Jimmy as a "for what you did to Anya" kind of thing rubs me the wrong way a bit and it's because like..... this is just another form of taking agency away from Anya, in a way. it's kind of framing her as some meek, shivery woman-thing who's entirely at the mercy of the men around her, either to hurt her or save her.
(i understand these are mostly for wish fulfillment on the audience's behalf because everyone would like to see Jimmy pay for his crimes. whether or not this is the intention of the person writing it isn't really relevant, characterization happens with or without intent. i feel like it misses the point by portraying it as an 'ideal ending'.)
because... Anya is a capable person. she takes things into her own hands when she can. it was partially(?) her idea to get into the cargo,
(before he interrupts her.. remember when she interrupted Curly in the dead pixel segment?)
it was her idea to get the code scanner from the cockpit,
it was her idea to get the medication from behind the foam.
(the chance to do these things herself is not given to her.)
she'd been keeping Curly alive for months in a critical state somehow, her psych evaluations at the start are only so useless because Jimmy refuses to take it/her seriously and Curly is obviously biased when he puts it into his own hands. he's known him a long time, like he said. "I'll just put good for that one."
there's not a lot of material to work with because of how the game is framed, but it's there. we are working with two very biased perspectives and neither one lends Anya what she deserves
there's significant changes in how she speaks post- and pre- crash, and depending on who she happens to be talking to. i recommend re-reading her dialogue, because the difference is drastic
she acts the way she does around Jimmy because he has tangibly done horrible things to her, is actively hostile, and physically could not escape him by any means. she can't take away Curly's agency herself, in my eyes. you have to remember that Especially in the post-crash segments of the game, it's entirely from Jimmy's POV, and he obviously does not (and has never) thought very highly of her or treated her with a shred of respect
i've seen a general idea that she can't bear to hurt other people for any reason, but that doesn't really track to me. this is the real point of the post by the way
it seems based on the parts where she says she struggles to give Curly medication. "It just hurts him so much, I can't stand the noise." "It makes me nauseous."
it's not really the same thing as, say, hurting someone in self defense
this sounds like she did want the gun itself. this never felt worded like someone who would refuse to, at very least, threaten Jimmy with a gun, with violence. if she had been given the agency to make that decision on her own. she wasn't though
she still tries to reclaim some of it even as she's denied it
by the end she's still trying to keep that gun out of his hands
i think some people overly soften her, for similar reasons the game itself is trying to comment on. she's not a tender victim who couldn't cause pain to another out of the softness of her soul, she's a person who's had every last bit of agency ripped from her repeatedly until she couldn't take it anymore. that's the point. that's why framing her that way, "needing" someone to save her, is odd to me
she didn't need Curly to save her, she needed him to take responsibility
she didn't want to escalate things, but she's not an idiot. self defense was absolutely on her mind
but who knows im just saying shit *smiles serenely*
#dib noise#mouthwashing#sorryyyyyyyyy lol#i will defend you anya o7#its been fun to roll this game around in my brain. gives me something to do#long post#could be reaching though. it's unfortunate so much of her screentime is hammering home how poorly jimmy regards her#or her being scared/nervous in his presence#or trying to placate him#yes i know that's the point#are my feelings on how anya is treated by the the characters the fans and the game itself weirdly personal? yeah sorry#unfortunately i do think they didn't get the anya parts as solidly as the rest but oh well#everything has flaws#i've gone through a playthrough of this game like 10 times for this#you KNOW im sourcing my claims!!#not really an attack on the people who made the stuff i mentioned at the start#more of a commentary on how they relate with the source material itself#yes yes i know giving a crewmate a lethal weapon is probably not the best idea to curly#does that make this situation any less horrifying?#remember: these aren't real people. everything they do was written on purpose for a reason#i still need to write down my general thoughts on the game as a whole..#also not about one specific person post image writing ect it's a collection of things and ideas thrown onto one post#I'm not any good at ending posts like thase it kind of devolves by yhe end but thats ok

P1 clara route oh my god
#okay so she’s been my favorite for a hot minute#but actually playing her route is a totally different experience#like. fuck. this is a character literally made for me#it is shocking to see media that depicts so accurately what being stuck in a cult mentality is like#her whole dynamic with Katerina is INSANE to me#as someone with some personal experience in a situation like that. good lord#all interactions with block hit me like a GUT PUNCH#ik fanon casts him as her dad sometimes but he made my skin crawl#the fervent and desperate way he exalts her was just horrifying#and Clara accepting this from people because its the only way she will ever be loved#her entire story is about destruction being a child#and all children want is to be loved#and yet. the only person who loves her without condition is the twin she invented with a lie#it is so heartbreaking i need to lay DOWN#pathologic#pathologic 2#digital art#clara pathologic#clara saburova#pathologic classic hd

considering that the bill statue cant be destroyed, stan's so lucky that bill's petrified hand ended up letting go cos otherwise he'd be stuck holding his damn hand for the rest of his life
also appreciating stan's finger guns in this scene
#that au stan can use him to bludgeon things i guess#ford would be horrified by the whole situation tho#a horrifying moment of not being sure if the bill statue was going to dragged back into the rift and taking stan with him....#gravity falls#stan pines#stanley pines#bill cipher#speaking of the statue rip the family not tossing it into the bottomless pit#which leads to the cipher hunt and bill being evicted and arrested irl and stapled to a tree#and also his hat breaking off i think#gf meta

Andi Osho as Sitis (wife of Job) in Good Omens 2.02
[Image ID: A series of gifs from Good Omens season 2, featuring the character Sitis, an older dark-skinned woman dressed in blue.
The camera zooms into a Bible illustration of Sitis lamenting to the sky.
Sitis's face becomes concerned as Job says: "Sitis my dear, this person was looking for the children." She turns, looking defensive, and asks, "Why? Who're you?"
Sitis looks stressed as she chuckles humorlessly and gestures to their ruined house. It is slightly smoking. She says: "Not now, Bildad the Shuhite. Good of you to look in, but we're a tiny bit busy weathering the wrath of God."
Close up on Sitis as her face becomes confused, then changes to horror and disbelief. "…No. God wouldn't!"
Sitis holds back tears as she asks something of her husband. He is about to burst into tears as he shakes his head no.
Sitis implores the angels as Job falls to his knees beside her. "I don't, I don't want more children." A close up of her desperate face. "If my children are dead, then… I will curse God, and—"
Crowley, as Bildad the Shuhite, clasps his hands and rubs them together in a "let's get started" motion. Sitis looks scared and backs away.
Crowley stands framed between Sitis and Job, who are facing each other. He makes a switching motion between them as he says, "Now good lady, simply turn to your husband, reach into his robes…" Sitis looks dubious but reaches towards Job, who abruptly looks very surprised. Crowley interjects: "N-h-higher. Higher."
Sitis and Job's children stand between them. Jemimah throws her arms around her mother who embraces her joyfully.
Job, looking confused, gestures to his restored children as he says to the angels. "But, it is—" Sitis quickly reaches out to Job and interrupts. Clearly frantic and trying to hide it she says, "A-a miracle. It is a miracle, that our new son should look so much like our old son."
Sitis explains very deliberately to Job as she pats her son who is definitely not Ennon on the arm: "No, Job. Look, it's not Ennon, it's… a new child. These are all… They're all… new… children."
Sitis anxiously watches Job speak, and starts to relax until a baffled and annoyed Ennon says something. She tenses and turns to him.

#good omens#good omens 2#goodomensedit#good omens spoilers#job flashback#a companion to owls#v watches good omens#v posts things#there's that thing they say about how comedy works best if they're playing it honestly and not like they're trying to be funny#and that there has to come a moment when the comedy stops and it gets real#and i really liked Sitis as a side character because you feel that everything is real for her#it's got this absurd coat over it but this is a horrifying situation and she is devastated about it!#it makes the whole thing work.#also we usually bring up him saving the kids but#can we talk about Crowley starting out by breaking Sitis's faith just on the truth alone#but then swooping in right before she fully damns herself#yknow i uh. don't feel like God really won this bet

it's kind of like insanely isolating that literally every aspec or "ace & aro" space I've found has been in actuality, solely for aces. perhaps arospec aces or aroaces who entirely prioritize their asexuality could also find company there, but even as an aromantic person who is also asexual, they're really not intended for me. so I can only imagine how isolating it must be if you're aromantic and allosexual
#I went to this aspec club on campus last fall‚ and cliquiness aside‚ they were literally talking about dating in there. like one guy was all#''I've been talking to this girl.... you think I should get her number?'' yada yada yada#like ok I guess this is just for asexuals then.#I can put up with hearing vague romance talk in other situations but in an allegedly 'aro and ace' club? nah fam#also‚ the first time I went (I gave up after the second meeting lol)‚ we went around and introduced ourselves and then you could say what#kind of aspec you were if you wanted to#and everyone was saying asexual‚ with maybe 4 or 5 aroaces‚ and then when it got to me I said ''aromantic‚ probably asexual'' and they just#all looked at me weird#maybe I imagined that. I'm bad at reading expressions#but cmon. imagine if I'd said aro straight or aro gay or smth#anyway I really do not like how the aspec community as a whole prioritizes asexuality over aromanticism#partially it's likely bc asexual used to mean aroace before the SAM was a thing#but I think its also bc people can imagine going without sex in a relationship (although they may conflate it with celibacy) (and not to say#people treat alloaces well at all lol)#(but the idea of someone eschewing romance entirely‚ whether they (want to) have sex or not‚ is still widely horrifying or confusing or#scary to many people. including other queer people and including asexual people#)#I'd make my tag rant into an actual post if I was sure I could word it right lol#aro#aromantic#aroallo#aroace#non sam aro#o.

“Yes, there is a place where someone loves you both before and after they learn what you are.” ― Neil Hilborn
#gallya#gallyaedit#tmfuedit#the man from uncle#tmfu#illya x gaby#not spn#my edit#idk i was just thinking about them#initially this was supposed to be a napollya+gallya set#but while i have feelings about this type of theme and napollya too i feel like in the context of the movie it doesn't suit them as well#napoleon and illya tried to kill each other immediately it was more of a showing each other the worst bits immediately kind of situation#they learned to care about each other DESPITE all that so they are safe from this. or so they think#i feel like this 'still loves you after they learn who you are' thing will apply later#once they get closer and napoleon starts painstakingly shedding some layers and illya voluntarily lets napoleon be there for him#meanwhile i feel like this quote is 100% the horrifying realization happening in gaby's head at the end of the movie during the hotel scene#that not only illya loved the innocent civillian to protect she pretended to be but he loved the traitor spy too#terrible realization. 0/10. she doesn't want these feelings. evil.#forever obsessed with the way gaby RECOILS when he's being sweet in the final hotel scene#she seeks out gentleness from him when she's asleep or drunk otherwise she is like 'nope NOPE' or at least looks conflicted i'm obsessed#and i feel like she tried to talk herself out of feeling any feelings for him because well. he doesn't like HER he likes her COVER#AND THEN stupid illya had to be stupidly sweet with her even AFTER he knows. smh. how dare he#also off topic but DYING at illya's green hat helping him blend in i never noticed looool#i'm sure he has a whole collection of hats so he can always hide in different environments#god i hadn't giffed in forever i missed it looool

Ppl keep saying they forgot to give William Afton in the movie a motive like... I hate to break it to you but most serial killers don't have motives. They mostly do it for a power trip. That's it. That's the reason why they are scary and fucked up. Because they have no reason to be doing what they are doing. Him not having a motive is actually the most realistic way he could've been portrayed to show how much of a monster he is.
#text#fnaf#fnaf movie#five nights at freddy's#five nights at freddy's movie#also the reminent bs in the games story is dumb af sorry#hes better when hes a guy killing kids just for the hell of it#because killers irl do that and its why the whole situation felt so horrifying and fucked up

🔐🧟♀️🔍🪐 my loooove
hello lover <3
🔐 something no one would guess about you
uhhhh. uuuuummmmm. help I literally cannot think of anything. the first thing that comes to mind is I was homeschooled my whole life but I feel like thats actually pretty easy to guess based on my personality
🧟♀️ scariest thing that’s happened to you
OKAY. once a few years ago I was going down the hallway in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom right. my house was completely dark, everyone was asleep, glasses off, defenseless and in my underwear, and half way down the hallway I hear heavy stomping footsteps start running up the stairs and rounding the top and coming down the hallway towards me so I ran the rest of the way to the bathroom and turned on the light and looked behind me and there was nothing there. it scared the fucking shit out of me ill never forget it. the footsteps were way too heavy and distinctly human to have been one of my cats. it sounded like a full grown man in work boots. I literally cannot explain it to this day it was so fucking weird and terrifying
🔍 what character do you enjoy writing for the most
rn its gotta be Eddie.....my god I love projecting on that little gay dude
🪐 favorite shows / series of all time
uahhghghh.....probably bob's burgers cause its my white noise show
#asks#to add to the second thing#I have always had an irrational fear of hearing footsteps when I cant see the person#like hearing someone walk up behind me makes me anxious even when I know who it is#so that made that whole situation even more horrifying

ty for ur posts about hamas. u dont have to publish this but ive just been seeing terminally online Twitter Takes constantly for the past few days of people who have done absolutely no personal research going back and forth trying to Win At Activism and accidentally regurgitating hamas propaganda while calling anything that criticizes them israeli propaganda. i think that probably most people who have done enough research to understand that hamas is awful and complicated and oppressing the palestinian people are likely the ones who know when not to speak about things they don’t fully comprehend. so we get the loud annoying ignorant ones instead🙃 seeing someone with sense actually correcting some of that has been helpful for me personally lol
@immaterial-girl Sorry this took me a min to get to, I've been busy. But yes I absolutely agree. It is exhausting to see so many people saying with their whole chest that Hamas militants are freedom fighters and civilian women and children deserve to die....while also not being able to tell you what year Hamas last held an election in if you held a gun to their heads. Lol. Like man. Maybe if you don't know what the hell you are talking about you shouldn't have such strong opinions? But that is a foreign concept here on tumblr.edu :/
#gingerswagfreckles#asks#israel#palestine#israel palestine conflict#i/p#i/p conflict#this isnt to say im like an expert on the situation either#or that anything i post is infallible. just a few days ago i got rightfully called out for tagging something with possible#misinformation. tho it was the same misinformation joe biden then said with his whole chest on tv b4 having to walk back on 3 hours later..#which made me feel both somewhat less stupid but also pretty horrified at how irresponsible our Glorious Leaders r being :// ugh#its a mess#but yeah maybe dont so confidently say that u think civilian deaths r good and that organizations#classified internationally as terrorists r actually great actually#if u havent even like. read the news in years....
