THIS MAN WILL GLAZE THE HELL OUT OF AP CALCULUS BC. just like how he is adamant about his physics glazing, math is no exception. tell me why he’s legitimately taking advantage of ten minutes at the end of class to get started on his homework? put that TI-84 AWAY and look me in the eyes. he’s the one classmate who’s super nonchalant and sporty and sits in the back of the classroom, but is secretly an academic weapon. “jake sim, wonderful work. you were the only one in the class who got 100.” HELLO??? good thing you always go over to him for a post-exam debrief, because he’s basically the answer key anyway. during class, he’d be quietly doing his own thing and joking around with the people around him, but the teacher lets it slide. everyone in the class is conflicted between loving and hating him, but he’s genuinely so nice and is always eager to help the people around him who need it — that still doesn’t stop the entire class from naming him their D1 opp though!

ap biology. the one who spites people who obliterate the curve. he’s also the best frq peer-grader though, he’s going off of vibes! if you mention anything remotely close to the answer key, you bet he’s giving you the point because people suffer enough already. sunghoon is surprisingly good at the labs though, he managed to not kill a single fly in the mendelian genetics lab and he’s super diligent at counting them too. your other lab mates had exhaled a bit too harshly one time and the sedated flies went FLYING across the lab table from under the microscope — you swear sunghoon’s eye twitched because he had JUST sorted them all by phenotype. he didn’t say anything to them though, and just started recounting the flies again because he’s just a chill guy like that. what people don’t know about him is that he actually scores high enough to potentially set the curve, he just chooses not to raise his hand when the teacher asks for top scores because he’s #taking one for the team. what a legend.

advanced journalism. producing a newspaper? more like an excuse to know ALL the gossip and put everything under the name of investigative journalism. it’s literally his JOB to be on top of all the school events and the niche hobbies and passions that students have, and he absolutely loves it. combined with his social personality and strong writing, he’s for sure the editor of the “spotlight” category. and honestly, he’s the best the school has had in a long time. his feedback is always something to look forward to too — as one of his staff writers, your drafts are handed back with a colored pen circling a particular phrase you used, with the words “someone cooked here” or “OH YES GIRL” written in the margins. he brings the best food for after-school mandatory work days too, from donuts to chips to canned drinks — sunoo knows that the people need the snacks in order to gain enlightenment mid-article! his pages in the newspaper are also the most visually appealing too, this man knows how to use adobe indesign.

ap english language and composition. with how diligently he uses duolingo, i have no doubts that jungwon will succeed in ap lang. imagine if he applies that study technique to memorizing rhetorical devices? he would be reading something completely random like the instagram terms of service and going “omg wait guys this is anaphora” like okay english king. and the effort he puts in shows in his results too. when jungwon checked his grades to see a 100% on the timed write while every one of his friends complained for a whole week about getting an 80, he knew he was locked IN. he participates a lot during class discussions too, so everyone knows who he is. as a fellow #taking one for the team legend, he always agrees to be the sacrifice to share out to the class the table group’s ideas. also — something not exactly english-focused, but he’s also so alarmingly good at time management. like how is he maintaining a solid sleep schedule and clear skin while watching alchemy of souls during his pomodoro breaks? the world will never know.

西村力 — nishimura riki

ap chemistry. hear me out he signed up for this class thinking he could blow stuff up. he did not, in fact, get to blow stuff up all year — the blowing was done instead in the form of a huge blow to this man’s gpa. like what do you mean there’s solubility rules, polyatomic ions, vsepr geometric structures and their BOND ANGLES, plus gas law equations to memorize?! he went slightly delirious mid-semester and came up with insane, unhinged references just to drill all the content into his memory, from connecting acetate (CH3CO2-) to his “esteemed rizz mentor” heeseung (3 letter e’s in his name and he breathes out CO2!) and imagining his friends on a fucking seesaw to memorize the <90 and <120 degree bond angles. he tried explaining his logic to you (rapping out the equation for the van der waals real gas law?) and you just went along with it. he actually pulled through though with a B+ at the end of it all, but he swears to never have jake in charge of his course selection ever again.

Short background Summary-

Odette Wayne (Blood daughter, a few years older than Dick)

Bruce discovered she existed after publicly taking in Dick (her mom realized he might not be a complete playboy, and they split custody)

She finds out about Batman and Robin- demands to help, and becomes Sparrow

Without extreme conditioning/training- she focuses more on helping Victims/"aftercare" of an attack

Sparrow steps back after Odette graduates HS- goes to College, and later gets into Med school

When Dick gets fired and then becomes Nightwing- Odette becomes the in between (and Bruce whole place in the situation started a lil crack in their already somewhat strained relationship)

Odette had all but quit the mask, until Jason became Robin #2 (which- more issues w/ Bruce) And she was determined for the kid to not have BRUCE as the "responsible adult" in his life

Makes a promise to Jason involving "Blood of the coven is thicker than the water of the womb" that she would fight Bruce, if it meant protecting him

Odette gets in a big fight with Bruce- joins Dick to space mission to cool off

Ethiopia.

When Tim comes on scene, she's just as pissed as Dick- but has the same promise of not wanting the kid to deal with Bruce alone

(JJ happens at some point, idk when- but of course Joker returns)

At this point shes fully taken over Leslies clinic so the poor woman can retire- shes the first to hear whispers of a new face in the alley.

Red Hood leaves the clinic alone. But threatening Tim? Odette wont lose another Robin.

Shenanigans- and she discovers who he is?

Long story short- Odette becomes the one to finally "get rid" of the Joker- but unlike Jasons whole philosphy of kill to claim a role that would otherwise go to another?

She fully believes killing is wrong- but she ALSO believes that commiting the worst sin is worth it to keep her family safe. As a result leading a peak to Bruce and hers fucked relationsip.

Best part? As a doctor, and someone who "learned from the best" Bruce cant prove she did it.

He knows. She KNOWS he knows. But only Jason had it confirmed

(of course more lore w/ the other Batfam- and their relationshops- I just fixated on her for various scene scenerios- mostly involving Bruce getting told to stfu and Joker being discarded meat chunks in space )

i've had constant aus and self-insert stories spinning around in my head for the past two months that i've been back into spn for, but i wasn't planning on doing anything more with them until i was browsing the fanart tags and discovered so many cool artists on here have been making spn ocs? it just never occurred to me that there would be any, let alone multiple, and to especially see ones being queer and trans made me really happy to see. so i took one of the too many different plots i'd been rotating in my head and made a little character out of it.

august north. he was killed by a demon when he was 26. his body was experimented on with the intent of creating an alternate long lasting vessel for lucifer. but a small amount of lucifer's grace bonded to august's body, reviving him as something not human, but not an angel. he meets the winchesters during season 4 of the show. he has some powers due to the archangel grace in him (healing factor, telekinesis) but it is not to the level of an archangel's power, possibly similar to regular angel's power or a bit less. he is a suitable alternate vessel for lucifer, if he were to say yes lucifer wouldn't burn through him like he does with nick. if lucifer's grace were to be removed from august's body then august would die, it is keeping him alive. the scar on his chest is from where lucifer's grace entered his body.

because of the whole 'boy with the devil's grace label' he ends up bonding a lot with sam, the two of them both being tied to lucifer through no choice of their own, and them both experiencing distrust and disgust from others because of this.

i really don't want any comments telling me that's not how angel grace works, i just liked the idea and it's my self-indulgent au. and august is entirely here for me to ship with lucifer so if that idea or lucifer in general makes you uncomfortable please just scroll on and don't judge me. i can't help falling back in love with this terrible archangel. i actually made a couple shrines on my website for sam and lucifer and boy i ended up writing way more about why i like them than i thought i would. the tldr is that i find things to relate to with lucifer in terms of the whole being cast out, family issues, being the black sheep of the family etc. and i find him fascinating, especially season 5 lucifer.

i'm not 100% sure on the storyline for august and lucifer, but lucifer does want to seek august out, partially because he's disgusted at a human having any of his grace, and partially because since sam is so hesitant to say yes it's nice for him to have this other option. i can imagine him visiting august in his dreams like he did with sam, trying to convince/manipulate him into saying yes, august not being bothered by his presence and instead feels drawn to him and ends up spending these dreams asking lucifer questions, and while lucifer is still trying to manipulate august into saying yes... he is lonely and this dead-alive human-angel boy is looking at him without disgust, isn't flinching when he touches him and he hasn't had anyone react like this to him in a long time and while he won't admit it a part of him is visiting august so often because out of all these hairless apes, this one isn't awful.

So, I've been thinking about The Locked Tomb as a whole, particularly about how Tamsyn Muir pulls off the trick of making a dramatic tone and perspective switch with every book, yet it still feels cohesive as a story and a series.

Something that just clicked for me after a reread of Harrow the Ninth is noticing that a motif obviously present in HtN is actually running through all the books, in a way that supports this constant resetting at the beginning of every novel. And that is Alternate Universes. As in, like, the fanfiction concept of AUs.

Massive spoilers ahead for the first three books of The Locked Tomb:

Probably the biggest link between the books is the structure. All three books of The Locked Tomb roughly follow the same narrative pattern; the narrator/protagonist starts the story hopelessly outclassed and the least informed person in the situation in which she finds herself. At first she is passive or blocked from action, but there's a realization/revelation that she is not as helpless as initially thought. She builds in power and action (and this is rewarded with exposition dumps to catch her and the reader up on what is actually happening). The final act is a fight to the death and as she is dying the narrator makes a sacrifice of her own body in a way that manages to preserve at least part of her consciousness outside herself.

(The secondary narrative in Nona the Ninth -John's confession- loosely follows this pattern too. Except of course John makes a different decision in the final act of his story.)

More than just the structure, each story is a variation on the same themes. Some of them are obvious. Power and how people use it/ abuse it. The narrator's relationship to their own body and how it becomes an expression of trauma.

But another less obvious theme, right from the first chapter of Gideon, is the narrators all have some connection to an Alternate Universe version of themselves/ their lives.

I'll admit this theory is weakest in GtN. But I don't think it's a coincidence that Gideon's entire life plan is inspired by military-themed porn mags - a smut AU, if you will. She's also the only one of the narrators who regularly indulges in daydreams that give her the strength to fight and struggle forward. Also not, I believe, a coincidence.

In HtN things start getting more on the nose - unlike Gideon, Harrow has magic. Rather than accept reality, Harrow uses her power to lobotimize herself into creating and living in an alternate reality, while retelling an alternate version of the prior book. This of course is the book with the infamous role swap/ Regency ball / barista AU sequence, just in case you didn't get what's going on.

But NtN is equally about AUs - Nona is the story where the universe conspires to give Harrow and Gideon the alternate universe of the life they both wanted. Gideon (or at least her body) does turns out to be the daughter of the emperor and the crown prince of the universe. Harrow (or at least her body) gets a found family who love her and a brain that is 100% free of the horrible truth of her abominable origin. We spend most book wondering just who is in that body, Harrow or Gideon, and that's part of the point. The trauma is so deep Harrow and Gideon are unrecognizable as people if their slate is wiped. So of course Nona turns out to be a secret third option.

More to the point, NtN is the book where we learn that the Nine Houses are, in fact, John's shitty self-insert AU. Harrow had a little power a and lobotimized herself, John had more and lobotimized all of humanity he could get his hands on, remaking them into this bizarre and baroque universe centered around worshipping him as a god-emperor. The planet of New Rho, outside John's direct control, is bursting with life and chaos and mess and humanity that is missing entirely from the glimpses we get of John's universe. It's no wonder the other survivors call everyone in the Nine Houses zombies - they are, in fact, brainwiped slaves to John's whims whomever he will pick up, put down, resurrect, and murder exactly as he thinks is best.

I'm very excited for Alecto the Ninth and how this is going to play out now that we've met all three of the people in this relationship, and everyone is in the same place in the right body.

Hey I saw your doodles about the surface au and I'm hooked but I'm kind of curious about something what is his family doing do they know?

Heya!! Okay I'm not gonna front I haven't put too much thinking into the rest of Seb's fam and their whereabouts, but you've given me a wonderful opportunity to do so! ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ the initial finding out about Everything™ in the first place could literally be it's own post though so I'll just be focusing on dynamics past the "he's alive and he's a fish and there's a talking computer strapped to him" shock 😭

Right off the bat I can tell you that Painter and Sebastian's sister are straight up besties, like- she was a little freaked at first (understandably) but the two of them inevitably grew to understand each other, especially with how involved the both of them were in Seb's recovery days~

The skepticism was palpable for a while; she is his older sister after all, and there was a lot of confusion about what exactly she was looking at. She was kind of the Boss Bitch what with their mother aging and everything, so a lot of the stress ultimately fell on her (even if Sebastian's stubborn self insisted not to worry about him/"he could take care of himself"). Painter and their neverending patience definitely came in clutch though, as they're very much aware of how they're perceived at first glance, but they were dead set on being proactive- really when it came down to it she saw that he meant a lot to them and she couldn't help but respect it (they ended up being a huge help when Sebastian finally had the 'okay' to go home, not like it would let him out of their sights anyway)

Nowadays they're regarded as family, by pretty much everybody. Sebastian's brother found them pretty cool from the get-go, but really he was more focused on Seb throughout the whole thing (when they were younger he 100% looked up to him quite a bit, present day they couldn't be closer :,3 he also did massive things for Seb's self-esteem early on). His mother will probably never be able to fully conceptualize Painter's existence, but they love to help her cook and craft so she doesn't really care for the meta shit 😭🫶

Now...heh....the stuff I'm indulgent about *rubs my hands together greedily* Does the fam know about Sebastian and Painter and their faggy situationship turned serious...... probably not! At least not to its full extent 🤔 They try to keep it relatively low-key, but they're a very family-oriented bunch so it's getting increasingly harder LOL. I'm imagining a totally not serious scenario in which Seb steps forward with Painter in tow like "guys I have to confess that the rumors are true I do in fact kiss this thing" and everyone is just. Unimpressed. Sebastian was never one for relationships back then so when someone Has Him it's incredibly obvious I fear 😭

Really if they did find out they probably wouldn't care at this point, Painter had already been indoctrinated into the Solace name for god knows how long now so the obvious questions were bypassed FSKDKSG

3. How many in progress or ongoing fics did you start this year?

I started a multi chapter wip this year but everything on my ao3 is complete 🙂‍↕️.

4. What was your favorite thing you wrote?

In the last two months I feel like I’ve written a lot of things that I’m really proud of. Maybe it’s because I’ve gotten more comfortable with myself and I have a little more confidence or I’ve just genuinely improved who knows lol. But Am I making you feel sick? is probably my favorite. It was such a self indulgent fic that was just everything I look for in tamcien fics. I got to explore tamlin’s feelings on lucien’s betrayal whilst also making him very deliciously mean. And I was very experimental with the smut and just my writing voice in general. Most of all I just really enjoyed writing it; it all came so easy to me because I was really excited and passionate about the idea. I think I did a good job portraying the angst and it was just exactly what I had imagined in my head.

End of Beginning is also one I’m really proud of. There were a lot of big feelings with Lucien coming back to Autumn that I was definitely worried I wouldn’t do justice but I think i did!! It was well received too which soothed my worries lol. There was a bunch of scenery descriptions of the Autumn court that were fun to figure out and really challenged me. This fic definitely pushed my skills and it has a special place in my heart for sure.

5. What piece was your most experimental or different from your usual style?

Am I making you feel sick? and My Heart did A Thing for every different reasons. Am I making you feel sick?, like I said, was me trying out a new writing voice and experimenting a lot with smut. It was by far the most kinky and explicit thing I’d written and it’s definitely a lot 😅. Made me a lot more comfortable with writing smut though.

My Heart did A Thing was a challenge because it was so warm and fluffy. I’m not used to writing tamcien being all cute and romantic. It’s either angst or they wanna devour each other, no in between, so this was a change and I really enjoyed it which I wasnt expecting!! Writing the slow burn, their innocent crushes on one another, their first kiss—it was all very tender stuff that I wasn’t used to but I think I developed a liking for soft tamcien after it. Maybe i’ll stop torturing them so much lol.

6. Did any fics surprise you - either while writing or their reception?

Want By Proxy being my most well received fic is insane work to me even now. I remembered when it hit a 100 kudos I was just in disbelief 😭. I was not expecting people to be into this at ALL. It’s a lucien/azriel fic which is like the rarest of rare pairs and holy shit it exceeded my every expectation. Is it my best work? no I could probably execute it better now but I still enjoy rereading it and the love for it means everything.

7. Do you have a fic you wrote and loved that went under the radar? (This is your sign to reblog/repost it!)

I don’t check my stats so I wouldn’t know lol but my quietest fic is One Bloody Interview. A vampire tamcien au I wrote for lucienweek that’s just all biting and blood and everything 13y/o me would have adored as a vampire fanatic.

8. Who is an artist that inspired you

So many lovely artists in this fandom I could go on forever!! @geniemillies @copypastus @thrumbolt for carrying the pro tamlin side of the fandom. @works-of-heart @jennastokesart @dimalry have some of the most gorgeous art styles I’ve ever seen fr.

9. Who is an author that inspired you?

It’s still insane to me that I’m mutuals/friends with so many authors that I literally used to fangirl over before making this blog. @zenkindoflove @crazy-ache obviously I have to mention these two, act surprised. Literally got me back into my fanfic phase and it all just spiraled from there. @achaotichuman for starting my tamcien obsession no joke. Was feeding me on ao3 when there was a total of like 50 tamcien fics. @highlordofkrypton everything she does inspires me. I’m in awe of anything she does.

10. Who is a new author you discovered?

I’ve been slacking in reading fics lately but @olenvasynyt has me completely enamored with her Lucien backstory fic. If you’re not reading what are you doing!!

11. Did you do any collaborations? How did it start?

No, way too anxious for that 😅.

12. What accomplishments are you proudest of?

Honestly just sharing my work online is a really big deal for me. Even now, six months later, I’m still really weird about posting on ao3 like I just have a complex surrounding it😭. Sharing my work is very vulnerable and makes me very anxious, more than what’s necessary. The second I post my fics I just start hating them and I get this urge to delete everything and disappear for 3 months?? Sometimes I can’t even read comments bc I hate the idea of being perceived. It’s weird ik but I’m working on it. It’s why I’m really proud of myself for posting anyways and not letting that get to me or ruining writing for me.

13. What did you learn about writing or creating this year?

So.freaking.much.

When I decided to start writing this summer I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Hell I still have no idea what I’m doing. I learned so much about writing this year and I still am and will continue to learn. But probably the biggest thing I learned was that it’s really difficult to be objective about your own writing and I think it’s especially harder when you’re very self critical and have confidence issues. I’ve learned that I need to be kinder to myself and that writing should be fun and something I enjoy and want to do. I’ve learned to stop thinking as my writing as something that will be seen by other ppl and more just something for me. I write because I enjoy seeing my ideas come to life and it’s something that fills my time and gives me purpose. I like having something to do, an end goal. Removing that pressure of posting and being perceived has made me a better writer. Yes I usually end up sharing my writing but a lot of the times when I’m writing, I genuinely have no interest in posting them; I’m just working on fics because I want to. For me.

14. Any advice you’d like to share with new or aspiring writers?

Progress takes time. No one wants to hear it but it’s true. The more you write the better you’ll get and the easier it’ll be. Read books and other’s people’s works and write your own stuff. Don’t compare yourself to more seasoned authors when you’re still starting out, it’s simply not fair to you. Just enjoy what you’re writing and before you know it , you will be improving and getting better.

15. What are your creative goals for 2025?

Write. Literally that’s it, I just want to write without the endless procrastination and self doubt. I just want to keep writing and improving and having fun.

ama!! hihi! ! i meant to answer your ask much sooner! anyways, since you asked so nicely (and because i am pathetically weak to any sweets </3) prepare for some SERIOUS yappage under that cut

✦ AuDHD demands that I explain EBY origins before any details but you can totally skip this if you want! (Scroll till you see blue text! :3) So... Eclipsed By You was intended to be au/fic just for myself after work when I first got into DCA. I literally was pantsing a self-insert fic from just gameplay, voicelines, and a collection of scenarios I wrote in my notes app before I actually interacted with the DCA fandom lol. I was already in the process of writing it to be a proper fic and planned to make an AO3 acc to post it! I took some time away from it tho cause I got busy irl. During my break I did start to interact more the fandom! The first proper DCA fic I read was 'Solar Lunacy' by BamSara a few months back as a recommendation from a mutual I had from another fandom. I had told them about my fic idea and they suggested I read the fic as my fic had reminded them of SL. After reading through, I was kind of bummed initially because I really didn't think I had anything unique to offer with my own fic that I was hoping to share. I stopped writing it cause damn comparison truly is the thief of joy. SL and EBY had similar ideas going on and I just didn't feel like it was worth posting my fic cause it didn't feel "special" to me anymore. It was easy to give up since writing is really not my strong suit at all, so then I fell back to just drawing! I only came back to it despite the 19 other DCA aus I have lined up rn cause honestly I remembered that wrote it for my own enjoyment! Why did that have to change? Albeit, I did scrap lots of what I initially wrote and started fresh cause my interpretation of DCA changed. Regardless, EBY was always going to be a self-indulgent DCA/Reader fic taking place at the Pizza Plex. Sure not anything original, but that's just a fact of being a creative in general tbh. I felt silly when I realized that haha. I'm having fun and they make me smile, so who cares if its been done before lol. I still enjoy Solar Lunacy and still am a fan of BamSara! (the cotl content has been fueling me lmao)

✦ Some bits on Eclipsed By You- The main part of your ask lol! ✿ On the au/fic name: I actually stole it from another au (of the many) I have. No particular reason for it! I was writing EBY and that au around the same time and alternated working on the two throughout the day. That au is now nameless (actually it's nicknamed "Messiah" as I type) cause EBY grew onto me for what it is now! ✿ On DCA's designs: This might be kind of disappointing lol but- there isn't much of a lore/plot reason for their designs? They just look that way cause... why not :3 It's also part of just how I interpret DCA into my artstyle. Otherwise, they can be interpreted as the canon designs early on! Atleast until some future upgrades! ✿ When in SB are we? Everywhere /hj. EBY will have some pre-virus and post-virus stuff just for funsies! I'm dying to yap but if I say anymore I will get carried away 100%. ✿ On EBY!Eclipse: For this au, Eclipse is his own "person" you could say. With his own AI and personality chip to pair! Carefully built to be a dedicated host and theater bot. He is, including Sun and Moon, the entertainment <3. They are a singular animatronic in this fic! (like those 3 in 1 soaps except it's DCA /j) ✿ On EBY!Y/N: (EBY is a reader-insert, but intended to be written as gender neutral and an adult.) Y/N gets their own bit of lore and issues that may or may not be the stress/frustration from my 2 irl jobs thinly veiled lmao. They work part-time at the Plex as a general theater staff member! Each week, their tasks rotating between concessions, being an usher, and working along side the theater bots! (Kind of like a theater tech.) This is a part-time job just to keep them afloat while they work on their last bit of certifications and training to be a caretaker! They are pretty passionate about helping those in need. A sweetheart honestly. Though, if you don't like kids, maybe look away. Wholesome moments with the littles and DCA + Y/N is pretty decent with kids themselves. (Lots of projection from my own experiences working with children and elderly, as a caregiver turned caretaker. I kind of want to highlight some of my experiences with Y/N.) ✿ On EBY!Sun and Moon: These two are goofballs alongside Eclipse through and through. They all get to be sweet, soft, and doting I promise. Originally, before scrapping a good chunk of the og writing, EBY had a beloved sweetheart anxous Sun and aggressive Moon who was kind of an asshole(Before the rewrite, EBY felt so different. Like everyone was just tolerating eachother and fragments being held together with glitter glue n' dreams. I am very very glad it's different now lol.) Eclipse stayed fairly consistent though. Sweet house husband that he is. Now, Sun is just as unhinged as Moon (making him just as much as a threat!), but we will persevere with the power of friendship <3 We're gonna have some aloof Sun moments. He takes his job pretty seriously! Some goofy Moon bits who's giggles are light and airy. He is very unserious I fear. They're both trying their best, in their own ways. There's not much I can say rn without spoiling haha. It's hard to stay vague hrm. Or atleast I can't think of anything specific to add right now. (I may be able to answer some specific questions if you have any, my brain is just foggy rn) ✿ I'm simplifying it down to your "typical pizza plex fic" with pre-virus and post-fire shenanigans. I'm sorry if none of that is telling I can't think of anything specific cause I'm pretty sleepy rn so maybe it's a little boring sounding but I love it anyways haha Expect some canon-typical violence and non-sexual intimacy! I have intentions on writing the relationship between Y/N and DCA ambiguous so it can be seen as queerplatonic or romantic. (But this could very easily changed, I'm a shameless robokisser sigh.)

Beginning

Yueshi, a Vidyadhara record keeper in charge of aiding new High Elders in recounting their previous incarnation’s memories is partnered with Dan Feng and sent to the Xianzhou Luofu

Xuefeng Sen is born to a family of prominent Cloud Knights from the Xianzhou Zhuming

An outworlder’s boy is found & presumed an orphan during one of the various battles against the Abundance is adopted by the Xuefeng family and is named Dianran

[insert some sort of meeting between Sen & Jing Yuan as young kids]

Dianran, a previously thought orphaned human boy, starts exhibiting Vidyadhara traits and send to the Luofu to be examined & watched by Yueshi

Sen is stationed to the Luofu as escort to their younger, adoptive ‘brother’

Yueshi & Dan Feng appear to be on bad terms, especially after the transfer of a certain arrogant craftsman to the Luofu

Furnace Master Yingxing takes Dianran on as an apprentice, against the Vidyadhara’s wishes

Yueshi & Dan Feng on much better terms (marriage saved by a cool sexy polycule)

The Shuhu Upheaval Period

Baiheng dies in the final battle

Sen is never accounted for, presumed dead in the battle

Yueshi is declared as an Abundance abomination, reported as the first mara-struck Vidyadhara and is quickly imprisoned deep in the Shackling Prison

Pollux leaves the Throne of Calamity for unknown reasons and is on her way to becoming a Self-annihilator

Pollux & Aster meet and become close companions despite the bloodshed of both their pasts, Aster is able to pull Pollux from the void

Aster succumbs to the Nihility. Instead of falling back into IX’s shadow, Pollux ascends as an Emanator of Remembrance and takes on the appearance and identity of Aster

Gawain is found abandoned in the Outlying Snow Plains as an infant, is adopted and raised in the Overworld of Belobog on Jarilo-VI and eventually becomes an officer within the Silvermane Guards.

Direct Pre-Game

Yueshi meets Luocha, is recruited by him & Jingliu for their ‘lets kill Yaoshi’ plan

Aster accumulates a bounty within the IPC & occasionally works together with the Stellaron Hunters & Galaxy Rangers

Sen is found by the Stellaron Hunters and Aster uses their emanator abilities to restore Sen’s memories, Aster takes them back to the Luofu in hopes for a future favor by Jing Yuan

Sen is fairly unstable and out of their mind, trying to come to terms with their past while in care of the Xianzhou.

Aster & Yueshi briefly meet.

Aster & Boothill are on friendly terms and have probably worked together in the past.

Gawain leaves the Silvermane Guards sometime after The Supreme Guardian issues the order to seal off the Underworld, Probably works with Sampo to smuggle the much needed goods to the Underworld.

Aster & Aventurine meet and start trading information with each other, trying not to be on opposite sides of a situation so they don’t damage their ‘relationship’

Aster is betrayed and chained by the IPC (physically & spiritually) in order to capitalize on an unaffiliated Emanator of Remembrance and their real identity as a former high-ranking member of the Annihilation Gang is exposed.

The Stellaron Hunters / Kafka approach Aventurine & Topaz to make a deal: Aster is needed for Elio’s ‘script’ during the Charmony festival and will break Aster out of IPC control, making sure the heist is not connected to Aventurine or Topaz.

Herta Space Station / Jarilo-VI

Aster is stuck in a physical form and most of their emanator abilities are locked away, becomes a passenger on the Astral Express while trying to find a solution to their predicament. Nothing much comes from it.

Yueshi provides intel to Luocha on how to smuggle his Stellaron shaped contraband aboard the Luofu.

After the Stellaron crisis on Jarilo-VI is solved, Gawain leaves the plant surface to start their Trailblazing journey.

Aster and Aventurine reconcile after Topaz runs into Aster on Jarilo-VI, Aster leaves the Express crew.

Xianzhou Luofu

Yueshi does not physically assist Luocha & Jingliu during the Luofu Stellaron crisis and is NOT arrested.

[Insert my old fix-it au idea of Dan Feng gaining his own body & memories back but it’s no longer a fix-it au its more pain actually]

Aster & the IPC 3 end up fairly acquainted will eventually collaborate for the events of Penacony

Aster has an encounter with an Abundance abomination Castor at Pier Point and leaves with an ominous warning about the events of Penacony. Aster opens up about their past to Aventurine and Topaz. The two are the only ones in the Universe who now know Aster’s whole story, and not just snippets.

Aster cashes on Jing Yuan’s favor and wants to learn more about mara-struck behavior in other non-xianzhou species, casually mentions working with a ‘mara-struck Vidyadhara with a broken horn’ before

Jingliu’s Story mission gets its own header

[Dan Feng is also present for the HCQ reunion at Scalegorge Waterscape]

Sen makes their decision to fully align themself with the Xianzhou again

Castor is somehow connected & Involved with Jingliu & Luocha’s ‘lets kill Yaoshi’ plan

Yueshi is revealed to also be working with them, [Luocha taunts this directly @ Dan Feng]

Aster falls into Dreamflux Reef with the Astral Express crew, behaving erratically after regaining her full powers. Unable to control her emotions and abilities after meeting Sunday face-to-face again, her appearance as a Halovian shifts back into reality and her cover is blown.

Aster is finally fully upfront with the Astral Express and continues to work with them in this final confrontation, Gawain stickers with Himeko, March 7th, Firefly, and the Trailblazer

Aster is relieved to hear from Argenti that Aventurine was saved by him.

After Aster wakes up from Sunday’s Order-fueled dream, she has a fairly long conversation with Acheron about the Aeons, Aster’s past and their philosophies.

Gawain & Aster aid in the final fight against Sunday

Aster follows Boothill when he goes to interrogate Aventurine post-final fight.

7. Auction

Okay, so this is one part of a SUPER self indulgent concept of mine, one I'm honestly kinda shy just talking about it but the idea is, in the DC universe, I think we can all agree there's slave markets out there. And I feel like speedsters would be considered very valuable, on account they're some of the few beings who are attached to this ancient and powerful force, Barry and Eobard being especially prized due to the fact of Barry being the generator of the Speed Force and Eobard being the only known host of the Negative Speed Force in the entire universe.

So the plot is basically Barry and Eobard get captured somehow (insert convoluted explanation here) and is delivered to a slave market to be sold and become someone's trophy pets/slaves. This picture is the part in the story where Barry and Eobard get put on display for prospective buyers~

10. Bargain

This is a weird one but kinda like in the same vein of the last one, if there's a market for speedster slaves/pets, there's also a open market for any illegal, special "delicacy" meat. I think there would definitely be a belief among some races that by eating the flesh of a speedster, it would allow you to harness the Speed Force along with a host of other benefits.

There's a whole series of pictures I would very much love to get to someday featuring Barry and the other Flashfam members as centaurs but I gotta learn how to draw horses first OTL

This is part of my unofficial Barry series where I draw him with a character I wish he had more screen time with, this time it's with one of his own family members, Jesse Quick! Barry and her never really had a relationship in the comics, the most we got to go off of was Jesse having a lot of respect for Barry but that's about it. In my AU, I thought it would be really fun if Barry and Jesse actually had a sort of brother-sister dynamic~

Barry is an only child and so I think it would be neat to see him have a sibling kind of dynamic with other peers of the Flashfam. Jesse would be older in my AU, more closer to how old she was in the Pre New 52 age because if she's too young, Barry would most likely just adopt her as another of his Flashlings lmao

I tend to reuse my old canvases so that kinda explains why I just add a number to them lol Anyway, this one is actually based on a Tumblr post I stumbled across ages ago about Clark and Barry losing their powers so they team up to investigate a case and stop bad guys using their respective skills as a forensic scientist and a investigative reporter (if y'all know who posted that, pls lemme know!!) And anyway, this was very much up my alley hah There's a handful of doodles I wanna do for this (because I can't ever just be satisfied with one drawing) where Barry and Clark navigate the hurdles of Being Human, being shot at by criminals, accidentally jumping out the window or smashing their face into doors because they keep forgetting they're depowered. It's a lot of fun to think about~

29. Battle of the fashion tastes

Silver Age Barry and Eobard duke it out, claiming they have the better fashion taste. Thad and Bart aren't impressed lol There's also a doodle about Barry showing up to Ralph's wedding in less than conventional wear. Ralph is speechless, to say the least xD

36. Cats

This is a crack doodle I did randomly one day. I'm honestly surprised DC hasn't made this joke yet cause it's really hilarious in hindsight

37. Cheetah Yeeeaahhh, this is just Barry and Eo as cheetah furries. I like furries, sue me lol

39. Clark reading Cinderella

This is a silly little comic that's actually based on a cute and charming Golden Age/Silver Age Superman comic where Lois leaves her super bratty niece with Clark and he tries reading her the story of Cinderella only for him to immediately fall asleep and dream of becoming Cinderella's Fairy Godfather and throwing hands with her evil stepmother. It's great, I really recommend it (sadly I don't know the exact issue number, if anyone does, please drop me a line!)

40. Compromise

Eo tries to compromise with Barry: if he leaves Barry's family alone, Barry will let Eo do whatever he wants to him. Barry agrees. The ending is...unexpected aha. Here's a sneak peek of Eo's smug rat face tho~

42. Cover Flash

This is a redraw of that one really gay Flash cover because it haunts me in the corners of my mind What was the artist's mindset drawing it? Did Joshua Williamson come up with the idea? I feel like he had to. It's just so hilarious and gay, I can't- Anyway here's Barry's looking very disturbed about having his privacy invaded

45. Crackship doodles

This is one the sketchdumps for one of my absolute favorite DC ships of all time: EoIvy. It started out as a "haha that's a cute ship" to "they are infesting my brain, the roots are so deep right now and there's no hope for a cure" askdhsgkdb I have like, a million doodles ideas for them, I just need to organize myself, and also find an Ivy design I wanna use (no hate to the Injustice design, it's... alright. Tho I prefer her having green skin over human tones)

These are about Ivy showing Eo off like the bottom bitch he is to other people, mostly Gotham Rogues, to which no one approves of lol

They're not any where close to being done but have a mini Eo I drew in the corner~

53. DC Barry and Itty

This is a little comic I started from before I read a lot of comics. I heard that Hal had a partner/pet Itty and at the time I didn't know how Barry really acted or if he knew about Itty, so I had him being very unnerved by him. Itty is just happy to have another buddy xD

55. DC Barry's Obsession

Oh this is a cute one. Okay so, I don't know if you played or watched the game Lego Batman: Beyond Gotham (which by all rights should've been a Green Lantern game but that's another topic for another day) Anyway, long story short, the Justice League gets hit by all the different Lantern emotions, Barry in particular being hit by the Orange Lantern Greed beam. So now you have a speedster that's taking anything that isn't nailed down, from batarangs to buildings, much at the dismay of the other heroes. Thankfully, he's still pretty reasonable even in this greedy phase, just telling him "No" is enough to make him put the stuff back.

I wanted to play with this concept cause I thought it was funny and cute to see Barry in this different kind of light. I haven't come up with something solid yet but I want to get to it sometime~

56. DC Barry's Weird Fears

Okay so, this one is a crack/silly idea I wanted to do where Barry gets affected by Scarecrow's fear toxin or maybe the Yellow Lantern fear or whatever but anyway, Barry is forced to face one of his nightmares...which, as it turns out to Eobard's surprise, isn't about his family or loved ones, but something else entirely--food. Yeah xD

I won't tell you the punchline cause I still wanna draw it someday so I'll just leave you with what's probably the best Eo drawing I ever did lol

58. DC Dad Brawls

Idk if you're familiar with the Green Lantern CGI animated series but this pic is supposed to be Hal and Sinestro fighting over who has the best daughter (in the show Hal more or less adopted Aya lol)

59. DC Eo Styles

Actually what it says on the tin, for once ahah. This is me practicing drawing Eo in the DCAU style and also experimenting with a cartoony style of my own.

I like this result a lot but I feel like it's not as stylized as I was going for. Plus it also feels a little too close to other people's existing cartoony art styles. Tho I do love how Eo looks like some rich bad guy from a cartoon who eats shit at the end of the movie lmao

66. DC Hole In The Ground

Oh boy, this is a throwback LOL I drew this back when I was a baby Flash fan and I didn't know the characters very well at all, I didn't even really like Eobard at this point

Some context: this tales place in an AU where, idk maybe Barry somehow took all his rage, hate and pain away, but Eobard is now a mentally adjusted, normal man. The Flashfam tho, hasn't taken too well to him regardless. This is a short crack comic where the kids, Wallace, Wally/Bart and Avery?? Jesse?? Take Eo to a six feet deep hole in the ground cause they needed his help. Course it's all a ruse so when Eo gets close to the hole, they push him in and try to bury him.

Don't worry, Barry got Eo out, tho not without a disapproving expression as he asks the kids if they're proud of themselves. They are xD

73. DC Nobody Wants to Save Thawne

This is also part of the "Thawne is Redeemed" AU funnily enough. The concept is a twist on the classic "villain takes someone hostage" scenario where some bad guy speedster takes Thawne as a hostage, threatening to kill him, to which everyone cheers. Bewildered, the villain then goes "OR...I'll let him go, to which everyone screams "NO"

Yeah, even good Eo still isn't liked by anyone xD

76. DC Slade's New Pet

This is also based on comic canon. In the Flash New 52 comics, Evil Future Barry makes a throwaway remark that he was trained by Batman, Slade and Lady Shiva and I have since then been utterly captivated by this idea, and I waNNA FISTFIGHT DC, LIKE HOW ARE YOU GONNA MENTION HE WAS TRAINED BY THE WORLD'S BEST FIGHTERS AND THEN NOT EVEN SHOW A FLASHBACK DO YOU HATE ME DC??! AUGH

ANyway, my pic takes place during Barry's training with Slade and what that might look like, complete with a speedster whistle. Barry's pretty much Slade's pet speedster and he's not amused about it 😂

This is just me crossing DC with my favorite anime/manga Bleach, specifically reimagining what my favorite character, Kenpachi, would be in the DC universe. I think he would definitely be in the Yellow Lantern Corps and picks fights with Sinestro and pretty much everyone around him and getting lost. It's basically just this:

Ayyy I get to infodump about my girl, WHOO

OK so, something to know about me is that I don't really tend to do the whole OC thing. Not that I don't love it cause I do! I love the idea of making up characters for media I'm in and seeing other people's fan characters is so fun and inspiring. The problem is, I'm just really bad at creating characters OTL

But for DC, my need for a alien speedster finally won out and I decided to just make them myself. She's still very much in the early brainstorming stages, sadly I also don't really have any art of her so far but I do have some ideas for her:

• I haven't figured out the details about her species but she's basically based on an octopus, tho I would like to take some more liberties with it. She definitely has tentacles because I especially wanted her to have those and bc she's octopi based, she also has a beak for snatching and eating prey. As for her gender, I imagine it's different for her species compared to ours, but in human terms the closest thing to what she is would be a woman. As for age, she'd be the equivalent of 40-50 years old.

• Her story so far is she has lived a relatively happy and peaceful life, successfully raising her young with her mate for many years. Eventually though, her offspring has grown up and left, her mate has either died or is off world somewhere (still workshopping this) For most of the time, she ends up alone. She struggles with Empty Nest Syndrome and tries to fill her lonely days the best she can. Until suddenly, one day, she's struck by a lightning bolt that comes down out of the sky. I think you can guess what happens next lol

• She gets superspeed and is rightfully terrified and disoriented as all hell. She has no idea what's happening and probably thinks she's either dying or cursed. It takes a long time for their Green Lantern to help her but eventually they do. Word gets back to Hal who knows just the guy to call. Cue Barry Allen.

• He meets up with and finally gives her some peace of mind and helps her accept her newfound powers. She's still very unsure but she takes to Barry a lot and forms a great relationship with him.

• Anyway, from here on it would be her going on to find her purpose in her new family of small bipedal aliens, aka the Flashfam and finally feel whole again.

• Maybe I'll have her teach other aliens about the Speed Force or smth idk, I'm still figuring things out • As for her powers, I really kinda wanted her to utilize the Speed Force differently than the other Flashes. I'm not sure what it would be but I'm sure I can come up with something

Keep in mind, some things may change but yeah, I like her a lot and I hope I can show her to you guys properly someday~

90. Deer Style

This is also based on the Silver Age, more specifically a panel of Barry carrying Eobard in a very odd way. It kinda looked like he was carrying him deer style so I'm using that as my excuse heheh

Honestly, I'm very tempted to draw a compilation of all the bizarre and often unsafe ways speedsters carry people in the old comics cause writers really got kinda wild LOL

Okay so this is based on @longitudinalwaveme's AU of an someone else's AU where Kryptonians has invaded Earth and enslaved humanity, but instead of it being centered around Gotham, it's about everyone in Central/Keystone City. AUs like this really make the wheels in my head turn and I also just love a good ol' enslaving AU lmao Anyway, this was actually fanart for it, these being some What If doodles of Barry and Henry where Barry discovers he has powers as well as Eobard cause it made me really curious where he would fit in this AU, like what if he ran back in time to save Barry/stop the Kryptonians. Maybe the 25th century is still Kryptonian dominated but they have long since become more benevolent and restored a lot of humans' rights to live freely again. Maybe Kryptonian and humans live among each other. Idk, it's so intriguing to think about~

97. Drunk Barry

This is an idea I had for Pre-powers Barry getting bomb ass drunk at like, a party or something. My personal headcanon is that he would definitely be a cross between the super sappy drunk and the weird drunk who info dumps about disturbing true facts lol

This is a another comic I def wanna get to eventually, it's very fluffy and tooth achingly sweet so I'm excited haha

101. Eo Medieval

This is one idea I had for how Eo could possibly be reinvented for Dark Knight Of Steel, that fantasy/Medieval Elseworld comic DC has going around.

While I'm very grateful the comic at least briefly mentions them and DOESN'T kill them off horribly (the standard for us Flash fans are so low OTL) I was very disappointed in how little we get of speedsters in this universe. Like, you could do SO MUCH with them, their lore allows a lot of room for some fun and cool reinterpretation but alas, I guess I'll have to do it myself

For this one, I wanted to play off the concept of Eobard being a teacher. I thought maybe he could be a Professor who's shrouded in mystery, a cryptic who holds the knowledge of future events that will unfold. He is almost always seen with his students, a group of misfit children he may or may not have saved from less desirable situations. His goals are unknown but he seems to delight in turning kingdoms against each other.

That's pretty much all I have for him. I also don't really know how Barry fits in this AU but I guess we'll see~

108. Eo Wants Commitment

A What If concept where Eo and Barry were partners before everything went south. Eo's proposing that since they worked together for awhile now, he and Barry should finally "tie the knot", ie becoming exclusive superhero partners to each other. Like a marriage but totally platonic, lol

115. EoBeth

OK so I'm pretty sure I'm one of like, two people on this whole site that cares about Beth Arden and wanna see her make a comeback in Flash lore.

Some context: Beth Arden is a one off character from Flash: United They Fall. She's a lieutenant of the Speed Force Resistance who wears the Shift armor, a specially designed suit to allow humans to be able to go up against a speedster (though she is still very much outclassed by Barry). She was a brief antagonist before turning around and helping Barry.

Her story goes that she was a pupil of Eobard's and loved him a lot (whether it's romantic or not is not clear but it seems to be the former) She helped him design the machine that would give Eobard his powers. Unfortunately when he used it on himself, he touched the Speed Force and was this driven insane and shortly afterwards he killed millions people instantaneously. He then became a tyrant who rules Central City through fear and drugging his citizens by making them crave Speed Force fixes, so they'll worship him.

Beth naturally decides the best way to deal with this is to travel back in time and kill Eo's idol, Flash (which...one, I love how home girl just immediately decided to kill her crush's hero, that's wild. Two, it's a little confusing why she chose to go back to 21st century and kill Barry instead of like.... preventing the creation of the machine that made Eobard go insane but, well maybe she figured that he would've found a way regardless idk) That doesn't work so she teams up him to take down Eobard. The whole comic is kinda an AU already honestly.

Anyways, I really liked Beth a lot and I think she has a lot of potential to be really interesting and compelling addition to the Flash mythos. She doesn't have to be Eo's love interest or anything, honestly I would love to see her maybe as a rival? Or still a pupil of his?? Idk, there's a lot of great ways to reincorporate her (tho I don't really trust modern writers to do her justice unfortunately)

116. Eo Carol

This is a pic inspired from a supervillain team up in the old comics where Eo interacted with Star Sapphire. Now, sadly the Star Sapphire in the story isn't Carol Ferris but instead a French woman who temporarily took up her mantle. Despite this, I became super fixated on the idea of Eo and Carol being partners cause like, it's just too perfect

Barry and Hal are a great friends, so why not also have some of their baddies also be buddy with each other? Make it come full circle aha

137. Gertrude

Okay, this is a random doodle of a really obscure character from Alan Scott's 1940 run. In it, Alan's friend Doiby had a sentient taxi car named Gertrude...Yeah. This isn't explained nor does Alan or Doiby act like this is bizarre or unusual in any way. I personally would enjoy seeing her make a comeback, but that's just me xD

138. GL Headaches

A compilation of sketches, one is based on that famous panel of Hal struggling to think and the other one is a random Green Lantern seeing Clark's spaceship speeding by and asking if they're supposed to do anything about that xD

139. GL Human Infestation

This is a comic I did where a young GL recruit asks Kilowog to ragale him about the time in GL history when the GL humans first came along.

This comic is supposed to take a funny jab at how freaking many human lanterns there are, ESPECIALLY for the one sector/planet. I mean, I definitely get it, Green Lanterns are popular and people want to see all the cool variations of human GLs but man, at this rate they're gonna need to make a sub Lantern group called the Human Green Lantern Corps fr lol

144. Hamlet

That one Silver Age comic where Barry does the entire Shakespeare play by himself, playing the roles of both the men and women rotates in my mind 24/7. Crossdresser Barry is real and canon, DC can't take it back <3

I definitely have a handful of doodles I wanna do with this, Barry in a dress is too good a concept to just narrow it down to one drawing. Iris is definitely gonna be involved 😏

155. Iris Gets Powers

Okay, so this is an idea I had that's inspired from the Flash New 52 comic where Iris temporarily became a speedster. Basically, it's that but "What if Iris got powers but when she's already married to Barry and they have the whole Flashfam?" I thought that'd be SO interesting to see and I really wanna explore that

It'd be about her finally getting to see the world from Barry's and the others' perspective. To finally get to feel the humming buzz as the Speed Force courses through her veins and reach out and blur and blend into everyone else, to feel as one with the other speedsters, to finally be able to run with her family awahhh

Fair warning though, it does have a kinda bittersweet ending so be prepared~

I really wanted to draw these two together cause honestly, it is SO mind boggling that these two haven't???? Had a heart-to-heart conversation yet??? ESPECIALLY after Flashpoint. I personally felt robbed and so I've taken it upon myself to give them their moment in the spotlight they deserve. Barry is full of regrets and Linda, after some time to soul search and to think it through, forgives Barry and they hug <3

161. Manga Eo

Ok so, fun fact, did y'all know there's an official DC manga?? And that Eobard actually appears in it (not Barry for some strange reason) and fights Hal? Yeah, that's a thing that exists

I really liked his look here, even if it is very subtle, like the thick black outlines around his mask and so I wanted to try drawing him myself~

167. Mom J'onn

Remember that Batman Lego game I mentioned earlier? Yeah, this is based on that too lol

So in the game, everyone splits up to go to the Lantern planets bases, J'onn, Cyborg and Barry visiting the planet of Nok where the Indigo Lanterns are.

Barry is still in his super greedy phase and Cyborg has unfortunately been zapped by the yellow Lantern energy so now he's absolutely terrified of every little thing. J'onn was one of the few who wasn't hit by the Lantern beams so he's pretty much the only sane and capable one here. Mom J'onn refers to him basically having to keep Cyborg from freaking out and Barry from stealing everything under the sun while also simultaneously fight off the mind controlled Indigo Lanterns and restore their power battery. Send some prayers for J'onn cause he is Stressed lmao

168. Monophobia

Ahh yeah, ok this is based on Post New 52 Flash Rebirth where Barry definitely experiences this, especially the part at his birthday party where he is consumed with the fear of Eobard killing everyone he loves. This comic is Eobard exploiting that, isolating Barry and giving him a taste of his pain. It's basically Barry whump which I love and will definitely deliver more on in the future <3

Oops, I think I listed the wrong file. OT3 is one I'm already done with, I think I meant to write OT3 1. My bad! Anyway, OT3 1 is some more EoHarlIvy because a handful of people seemed to really enjoyed my art of them 😊 In this pic, Harley's dive-bombing Eo and Ivy, because she naturally can't let them have their moment alone together lol

This was actually inspired by @ftl-faster-than-lifewonderful's fabulous art of putting Eo in a collar and that sparked the idea of like, Barry and Iris finally deciding they had Enough and just slapped a collar on this idiot in the hopes he'll finally calm down.
