Everyone saying goodbye to Sam & Adar on Sam’s instagram just made this all too real for me now. It’s fully sunken in that there’s no more to come for Adar. Something I really wish I didn’t have to see. At least not so soon. Fuck.

i am right there with you feeling the pain, anon.

he is gone from the show, and we all have to mourn that and accept it.

but my one wild hope is that the Adar fandom continues!!!

i'm trying to look at the lingering questions the show left open about his identity as a gift to us. we have the contours, we know the outline of the story, but the details are ours to fill in now. we can keep speculating, we can keep theorizing, we can keep creating work based on this character. we can keep putting the dark side of Tolkien's legendarium under the microscope and challenging the dichotomy of good and evil. i think the professor would approve of that.

and so in that way, i hope, adar's legacy will have a life far beyond episode 8.

Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
