I’ve always liked your analysis and I’d like your opinion on this’s matter.

Im a firm believer that Kidd isn’t actually died, Oda barely kills anyone actually. But I’ve read some folks say Kidd coming back would considered a “bad writing”?

He doesn’t seem to have any relevance to the plot at the moment other than wanting to be the next PK, but again he cant be in the final race because lost his Poneglyph to shanks. (Only if Oda decides he is a D/ witch is a meh to me, i don’t imagine him hiding it and him having one is kind of out character(?) ).

there are many theories and speculations about the three captains forming an alliance again in Elbaf witch I dread haha, mainly because I feel like him forming an alliance again is unfair to his presence& development in the story and feels repetitive, that goes to Law too.

I was contemplating about watching the last episode but decided to give it a go after receiving the ask...

God was it bone-chilling. Really felt like a farewell.

Have to admit that it was a great episode. Namikawa san (Kidd VA) posted a tweet on Sunday: "One Piece's sakuga is absurdly incredible. I remember wringing out my soul and pouring everything into my voice while recording. Shanks is too strong. Kidd deserves all the love." (x)

But, no, I don't think Kidd is dead. All three Captains were hyped until only few chapters prior to this. The Elbaf incident might've been in Oda's drafts when this came out.

Yet, we're supposed to believe that Luffy and Law will have plot relevance, while Kidd just dies? I wouldn't call it good writing, it's a cop-out. The series is reaching the final arc with packed developments, IMO it makes no sense to equip a character with advanced combative power like conqueror's haki just to kill him off in his next appearance.

The chance of Kidd being a D is very slim because the theme of inherited will isn't in his character thus far. And two major arcs with similar alliances is unlikely (Personally, I don't want Law anywhere near Elbaf). Kidd's character arc doesn't seem to have a strong motif in relation to the overarching plot progression.

If that's the case, I wonder what "importance" Oda had in mind for Kidd when he created him.

I've seen some theories floating online, my personal speculations pretty much reach a similar conclusion.

For some reason, Oda has been continuously shoving Kidd towards Shanks' direction since the timeskip. Shanks is a core character, his concept and conclusion has to be decided from the start. It's possible that Oda wanted (and still wants) to involve Kidd in Shanks's (very likely) demise.

Returning to the episode, this was the scene that felt like a farewell.

Unlike Heart pirates, Kidd pirates received an ominous end note implying that they're completely decimated. If Kidd's crews, particularly Killer - die from this, it would push Kidd to focus solely on avenging them. He may ally himself with Blackbeard. IIRC, Blackbeard pirates don't have an engineer onboard. Kidd's power and skills may come in handy in the handling of an ancient weapon or a similar power source if Blackbeard manages to nab one; there's been some convincing theories about Kidd and Vegapunk sharing some connection too. Oda has been writing Kidd as a sympathetic character, so if he's involved in Shanks's death in such scenario, his action will be somewhat understandable.

Even if it doesn't take a dark turn, Kidd can still aid in the final battle, there are many enemies to defeat. We haven't been disappointed by Luffy's choice of friends so it's possible that Kidd would eventually back track from the revenge plan and reflect on his own actions.

Many readers have a mindset that Kidd deserves a bad end because he's not a "fundamentally good person" as Luffy, or even Law. Arrogance sure, but I don't think Oda would punish Kidd for his violent track record. Oda's initial concept distinguished adventure loving pirates from regular ones, but he corrected it and blurred the boundaries. Luffy is a pirate and pirates aren't supposed to be nice people. He finds his allies from within.

Finally someone put into words how I feel about some parts of the fandom 😭

Like, I can't believe some people call themselves Loki fans but are only able to accept half of who he is, you put it so perfectly, I fell like I have nothing to add

But yeah, watching Avengers and realizing that that guy can be the sweetest best friend someone could ask for and then wacthing the show and remembering that the same man who rode a tandem bike just bc his friend asked him to is the same who gouged someone's eye out and enjoyed the chaos and panic it caused in everyone is so damn good

Loki is chaos. He has both good and evil inside him and can swing between both extremes while staying completely true to himself, none of what we see is fake (I mean, at least to some extent, yeah yeah I know about the masks he used to keep others at distance, but that doesn't change my point), we're just seing that he can in fact, play all the keys in the piano and damn, does he make some good fucking music every time he tries it

Series Loki, Avengers Loki and the "real Loki"

Okay so, I've been wanting to write about this for a while now, I always see people talking about how much they love series Loki because that's where he's most comfortable with himself— and I agree, I love him too and I think it's great that he learned to accept more some aspects of himself and got more comfortable with showing vulnerability to others as well as allowing himself to make meaningful connections with the people around him

BUT

Saying that Avengers Loki is not the real Loki just tells me you don't really understand Loki as a character at all

I'm part of the few people who don't entirely buy into the headcanon that Loki was brutally tortured by Thanos in the 1 year gap between Thor and Avengers, I think he did went to very bad places but it doesn't make sense to me that Thanos would break physically and mentally the man he was sending to lead an army on a different planet to get him an infinity stone, I believe he had to fight for his life after his fall and Thanos probably submitted him to a very rigorous training like he did with his daughters (yes, one could argue that that was tortue but let's be fr, it's on a whole different level)

Anyway, my point is: Loki didn't attack Earth against his will, he was angry and hurt, feeling betrayed by his family and dealing with an identity crisis, he was livid, he went through hell after his fall and now he had a chance to cause some trouble for Thor and Odin and he was going to take it

I don't believe Loki really cared about Thanos' philosophy and the whole "freedom is a lie" thing, he was parroting what Thanos told him to cause some dramatic effect but I don't believe, not even for a second that he gave two fucks about it, again, he wanted to make trouble and to cause damage, he wanted to hurt Thor and Odin bc he felt hurt, he didn't care that innocent people were going to die, he didn't even think about them, he just wanted to channel his anger and to piss off his family, and ykw?

That's the real Loki

Because Loki is not some perfect little angel who was forced to do bad things against his will in order to survive, Loki is a vengeful God, a being of chaos, a master of magic and sometimes... an asshole

Sorry, he's not the little baby we all like to pretend he is sometimes, yes there's lots of pain and shame and sadness inside his heart but that doesn't erase the fact that there's some ugly parts in his personality, that's what makes him so complex in my opinion, he's not necessarily evil but he's also not necessarily an innocent baby either, he said it himself:

Believe it or not, that applies to him too!

Avengers' Loki shows us the "ugly" parts of himself—parts many would prefer to ignore. But sorry to break it to you: that was the real Loki too.

Some might argue that the whole "God of Mischief" persona was merely a facade to hide his vulnerable, weak self, but I disagree. I believe Loki did use his title to build walls around himself and keep others at a distance to some extent. However, things aren’t just black and white—Loki is the God of Mischief, whether people like it or not and that means he thrives in chaos sometimes

I mean, he even tells Mobius, "Sometimes our emotions get the better of us," when talking about the New York attack. I know some people don't like that scene because it contradicts their headcanon of Loki being tortured and forced to go to Earth, but personally, I love it. I never liked the idea of Loki having so little agency in Avengers. And yes, I know the Mind Stone was influencing him, but that’s the key—it was influencing, not controlling

I think what I’m trying to say is this: some people don’t truly understand who Loki is. They’ve created a version of him in their minds and reject anything that contradicts it. Refusing to acknowledge the darkness within him only proves that you don’t fully appreciate him. You can love series Loki and say that it's the more mentally healthy version of the character, but please don’t claim that Avengers Loki is his worst version—or that it’s not the real him.

Maybe I'm being annoying but it just hurts every time I see posts trashing him and saying that he's the worst Loki ever, to me that's one of the most fascinating depictions of him precisely because we see how malicious, cunning and calculating he can be, he has so much range and I genuinely feel sorry for all the people who can't appreciate that

Day 1: Favorite Turtle

YEEHAW! DAY 1 OF TMayNT!! @tmaynt

Leonardo my beloved <3 I thought about drawing every iteration of Leo before my brain cell kicked back in and went, no that’s insane? So i settled for drawing each Leo from each tv series! Including the one that will be coming out on paramount at some point. Made two versions bc i couldn’t decide between doing this challenge in a more inktober style or just going ham, i eventually settled on doing both and seeing how quickly i get burnt out lmao. So we’ll see in the future if colored ones stay or not.

Wanna give a special thanks to the creator @mikasleaf of this challenges prompt list btw! This will be the first time I’ve ever participated in a 31 day challenge, but I’m really excited to! So thanks so much for making it!!!

Now for a little anecdote: I adore all the turtles, like genuinely love all of them, so picking a favorite is REALLY HARD. HOWEVER. One really funny thing about me that helped make the choice to draw Leo was the fact that as a child I watched the 03 tmnt show on 4kids. I didn’t really understand all the details with Leo’s character back then, but he was my absolute favorite. Not because of his swords, or the fact he was a good big brother, or a really talented ninja, no, none of that whatsoever. I loved him so much as a kid because of one reason—HE. WAS. BLUE! And blue was my favorite color, so obviously he had to be my favorite turtle. I still adore Leo with all my heart ofc, but now as an adult I horde ALL of the tmnt boys bc i love each of their characters for individual reasons, but this boy right here? He got me into the series all bc he was blue. Gotta love how child brains work lmao.

I’m trying to play the games rn before Dolce Vita comes out (I still have time before they announce more ab it T-T) but I’m also trying to finish every other otome game I own & I haven’t actually touched UtaPri in months…….

Louis had a very public messy time with women before you were a fan so not every 1D fan would agree with you about him being "the only one respectful to women". They're all men, they've all had their moments.

In 2015 Louis broke up with his gf and started hooking up with women right away, got Briana pregnant by June but continued publicly hooking up with other women all summer on London nights out and at Glastonbury before starting to date Damielle in Sept. Dated her for 16 months, then suddenly dropped her between Xmas & NYE while she was in England with him to go back to his previous gf.

Louis' fans responded to this by denying any of it was real and saying it was"stunts" to closet him. And I think newer fans still don't know or believe it ever happened.

Before you say I'm in any way comparing this to abuse allegations: I am not. This is in response to you saying how respectful he is compared to all the others. It's a low bar.

A single man hooking up with women (if what you're saying is even true) what a crime 😯. You're as delulu as larries btw. You don't even know what was happening then and yet coming to those conclusions. None of these women said anything that implies he hurt them and went behind their back or anything btw. He's still the only one respectful to women from that band. The third one was charged by his ex and her mother for harrassment and the last one kept flirting with a taken woman in dms and made her so uncomfortable her man had to come on Twitter to tell him to stop (ofc he and the gf were attacked so bad he had to delete) and slept with Ellie while she was in a relationship with Ed Sh*eran. And not only compared to the 1D guys bc you're right on one thing the bar is very low for them. Louis was raised by the most wonderful woman (may she rest in peace). Louis is so respetful towards his female fans (yk he'll never take advantage and slide into their dms for explicit shit), never objectified them in his songs, treated his gfs with the respect they deserve and always aknowledged them even though he knows he'll be attacked and hated by larries forever for that, loves his sisters and treats them so well, he used to support Liam bc he's unwell mentally but the moment the abuse allegations started, he dropped him (and we know how hard it is for him to let go of his stubborn loyalty).... So stop with your delusions and trying to make him look bad 🤗

in response to this para. it makes sense that ppl are expressing concern abt sam when he’s the one who was seemingly driven offline by whatever he saw, and is afaik the only one there who has expressed that shit he saw impacted his mental health. ofc ppl are gna be sad abt that and feel apologetic and reflect on the fact that a space they’re a part of caused him to feel that way even if they themselves weren’t the ones being hurtful. from what i’ve seen on twitter the lesson ppl have been taking from this is that ppl need to be more mindful abt what they say abt the entire cast, not just sam. and yh he is white, but he had ppl people hoping he would have abuse allegations made against him, ppl saying he was holding jacob and bailey hostage during s1 and that’s still fucked. i don’t think it’s so much a current concern for sam bc as you said he’s not online. but more so general regret and a reminder that just bc someone seems online doesn’t mean they aren’t and if you wouldn’t feel comfortable with them seeing it then you probably shouldn’t say it

Twitter Sylvie stans were and still are very loud in wanting Sylvie and Loki to share that burden in the end since they started this together and it would nicely wrap Sylvie's arc too. Ask any stan, they wanted Sylvie to go through that door with him, which the show even implied she wanted to do but then did nothing with it. But obviously that didn't happen because after the uproar Sylvie's mere presence in S1 caused, and how everyone bitched she's the mary sue etc the writers pushed Sylvie aside to give Loki the martyr hero moment because apparently the male sacrifice is something dudebros salivate over these days. And apparently it worked considering literally every dudebro is happy about Loki's ending. Ask Sylvie stans if they are happy about her ending? They aren't.

Well, it's a good thing I'm not on Twitter, 'cause I know the Sylvie stans on there are a whole different minefield. Like I said before, ofc they would want her to be with him, since a good chunk of Sylvie stans are Sylki stans (not all Sylvie stans are Sylki stans but all Sylki stans are Sylvie stans). I could see how the show implied she wanted to join him, but it did a similar thing with Mobius as well, since he was there behind the door when Loki headed off on the gangway. I personally don't believe it would make much sense for her to want to sacrifice herself after a whole season of blaming everyone else and not taking responsibility

Sylvie is a Mary Sue. I don't know how to put it lightly to you, but she fulfills most, if not all, the categories. She's a female character who completely upstages the male protagonist, is viewed as stronger and more competent than the male protagonist (who has actually been dumbed down for her), has little personality, has everyone obsessed with her, I could go on and on. I really don't use the term Mary Sue lightly since it is often used in a misogynistic context, but I'm not sorry to say that Sylvie is a Mary Sue

However, I don't disagree that bc so many people found the Sylki aspect of s1 so uncomfortable, the writers opted to take it out, and by taking it out, it also made them change a lot of things about Sylvie since Sylki is really the only aspect of hers (I need all the writers to attend a workshop on how to make good female characters bc good LORD the missed potential on her). She didn't have a lot of personality in the first place, so they went for the rude and bitchy route, which made her so much worse than in s1 imo

Hiddleston is a different story. On one hand, I don't believe there is anyone else who understands Loki as much, but I also wish he wasn't such a pushover when it comes to making Loki's story. You know you can disagree with the show, right? You're literally an executive producer, so what if they didn't include your ideas? You can do the exact same, just saying. Which, btw, source on your claim where?

It's easy to see that dudebros are happy, they never cared about Loki's character in the first place. No Loki stan I know is happy about her sacrifice, and it's easy to see that Sylvie stans aren't happy either

This little Silver actually has some lore!

His name is "Silbor" and his creation was through drawme, a site let that's you share anonymous drawings!

Originally used to just mess with FerretFresh on Twitter

However when scrolling through my TL I kept coming across more and more people asking for anonymous drawings, and at some point decided I wanted to hit every single one, using the phrase

" Get Silbored "

(there's a ton more of these btw lmao)

I thought this was just a meaningless prank. I assumed it would give a quick laugh and then be forgotten about

But oh I was SO unprepared

That next morning I woke up to find that a public case was opened in a group effort to figure out who the "anonymous Silborer" was, with the first guess being me!

This made sense, I had left many hints, liking A LOT of the Silbor tweets, doodles in recent artwork, I knew I couldn't keep this up any longer.

So a couple hours later I made a public announcement confessing to being the one behind Silbor! People laughed, I had some fun discussions, and that's where the story should end.

here's where the amazing stuff happens.

First off, I didn't Silbor only my fellow mutuals, I did it to anyone I could find and more importantly, I Silbored some far larger creators that I freaking ADORED

so you can only begin to imagine my shock when I check and find that artists I have admired for a couple years at this point had actually begun to follow me

and it's really weird to say it now as I kinda considered myself friends with alot of them now.

Eventually, I see my follower count rise, and begin to tweet about it ofc, and to my surprise I got ALOT of support.

Soon I tweeted out that if I hit 1k, I'll change my pfp to Silbor...

And that is how a goofy throwaway meme had me thrown into the sonic community spotlight for a hot minute, made me connections with huge creators, and took me from 600 followers to 1k+ overnight.

And as promised I changed all my pfps to Silbor!

This goofy idea has actually grown into a full on AU, lovingly named the "Sobic AU"

and so far, the cast is made up of

Sobic, Shabow, Silbor, Bouges, Aby, Baze, Tikol, Knockles, Baos!

And yes, MANY shit-post have been created through this

I mean, seeing what the ISU Awards has become... do we really want Shoma (and Stephane) to be involved in that mess? It's so... self-celebratory, lol. The phrase "I'll scratch your back if you'll scratch mine" comes to mind. Saw a FS fan who was at Zurich tweeted that the crowd don't even know or care much about the skaters when they were given awards... honestly even Stephane, a Switzerland citizen (!!!) chose to go to Tokyo this week to do dance classes and watch the Paris Opera Ballet. Anyway if people really want to watch a really good ice show, Daisuke's ice show KASSOUYA in Fukuoka was also running this weekend and they allow fancams... from what I can see on X/Twitter it's much better than AOI, sorry not sorry.

KASSOUYA seems indeed a wonderful ice show. The snippets look very cool. I wonder what brought them to allow fancams and if they keep it that way or only because they wanted to promote the show in sns 🤔 In Japan ice shows are growing. I am glad for every opportunity for the skaters.

In a way Shoma is involved in the award anyway. He was in the nominations, even if he didn't win. Not that this award has any sort of negative or positive impact on anyone really. I think Shoma would just deserve more recognition by the ISU. That's all, not that the award itself is worth anything. I guess nobody will be remembered for earning a skating award. Yet Shoma and Kaori not winning against Ilia when Ilia is here for two seasons and did get one title only feels odd. If it's solely on social media engagement well than Adam's backflip gained huge attention at Euros, Kaori's SP last season was literally retweeted by Janet Jackson herself, Livia Kaiser's FS was retweeted by Rachel Zegler and beside that it shows that ISU is not aware of what Shoma did for the sport. OPOI brought another crowd to figure skating. (SOI in the US just got canceled for the season for a lack of interest as it appears btw) But ofc this whole award show is playing into the hand of those ppl who always had a say in skating North America and Europe. Ilia's management is practically involved in the show, so winning an award two times in a row - one which was just invented for him last season - a devlish thought may come to mind 🙃

I think the crowd for an ice show is different than for a competition. At Nebelhorn Trophy usually the arena is more packed for the gala than for the actual competition. Those ppl there don't come bc of the names of the skaters, they come for a fun evening like going to the circus. I also went couple of times to Holiday on Ice, I was also at Disney on Ice (ice shows that come to my hometown are an easy choice to go to). At Holiday on Ice last year Papadakis/Cizeron were invited and I totally chose a date where they would perform in the show bc of them, however in the crowd most ppl didn't know who they were and didn't care. They liked their performance but you could see just a few excited fans. You can see by the reactions to the jumps (which are usually just doubles) that the cast performs there that ppl don't come bc of the sport but bc of the show. They would clap as enthusiatically for a double than for a triple. So I am not surprised the ppl didn't care much for the winners at Art on Ice, most ppl there probably didn't even know them but came for an ice show.

Stephane performed often on Art on Ice so I don't think it had anything to do with that, probably didn't rather fit his schedule. Makes you wonder though if he would have won if he would have performed there. Because very comically all winners were also present at Art on Ice...🙃

Maybe Shoma didn't win because he would not attend Art on Ice at this point of the season 🤔😂 just kidding...

I am not against those ppl that won at all, even happy for Deanna Stellato Dudek, she deserves the world as a role model. Just being the only Pairs skater to even get anything is showing how much ISU cares for all disciplines. Also the nominations of most categories just show that ice dance and Pairs have no value.
