Does anyone else get a sick sense of satisfaction from people getting tricked into the vnc fandom bc they believe the story is complete since Jun essentially already told us the ending through Noé even though we don't actually have the full ending yet... no? Just me?

I've been thinking a lot about a remus/sirius Ministry of Magic office AU..
Often I see ppl talking about what would Sirius work with if there wasn't a war going on and he could just live his life in peace and one of my favorite headcanons is that he would be an 'Unspeakable'. Those are the ppl that work in the department of mysteries, that by itself is one of coolest things in the wizarding world, according to me. The department of mysteries is responsible for confidential studies of death, love, time etc (A lot of crazy things that honestly no one should have to mess with but obvs they do anyways...) It's high-level security place, no one besides the researchers are allowed in those chambers. No one even knows who are those researchers and what they do, actually.
Buut, its sirius we are talking about and the guy is a genius but also can be pretty reckless and, in this specific scenario, I think he would be a borderline "crazy scientist" so. He fucks up down the line. I don't know what he does, exactly, but it's something that put his and others researchers' lives at risk. Bc of that, he is sent to work in a waaay more mundane department: Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. It's a cool department!! Remember that first poa scene where harry turns aunt marge into a balloon etc? well those are the guys who they call to fix that. They even have a Obliviators division, responsible for changing Muggles' memory in case they are exposed to accidental magic. Those guys are full of themselves and annoying as hell, btw.
and I see Sirius being sent there, after The Accident. It's cool in theory, but most of the time it's puuuure paperwork and it bores sirius to no end.
well, guess who works there as well. Our guy, Remus j. lupin.
Remus isn't one to do field work so he mostly works in the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee division (god I love those long ass names). Basically he comes up with stuff to excuse magic happening in the muggle world etc. like when peter killed a bunch of muggles and the muggle paper said it was a "big gas explosion". Pure paperwork. Boring as hell.
Anyway, Sirius turns up there out of nowhere and he is the office sweetheart. It fucking boggles remus mind, like. Sirius always goes to the office parties and seems to be friends with everyone but no one knows anything about this guy. He just gets there, a almost 30 yo with a bunch of obscure work experience and no one knows what he did before that, who his family is, where he is from and how the hell does he knows the stuff that he knows.
Sirius is great at field work, he mostly works directly in the Obliviators division and remus is really great with the paperwork stuff sooo they get paired up a lot. At first, they are a bit annoyed by each other (my fav wolfstar flavor). It's funny because they actually agree with almost everything but they just approach things veeery differently and so they are bickering all the damn time. And Sirius is a Certified Little Shit™ and is constantly doing things that drives remus a bit crazy. Once they had a case of a water fountain exploding bc two wizards were fighting in a public park and instead of obliviating the muggles into believing it was only a piping problem or whatever, he went out of his way to turn it into a sort of elaborate flash mob that went viral on tiktok. Remus spent the night awake documenting everything. He wanted to strangle sirius that day.
between late nights working and lots of crazy field work (thanks to sirius) those two end up getting closer and closer. Remus still thinks Sirius is a bit insane, but now in a I-want-you-to-fuck-me-into-this-desk type way. Sirius, on the other hand, doesn't let go of his previous research. I think that back then he would, specifically, study and experiment a lot with Love, in special familial love (yep.) The thing about those confidential dept. of mysteries' experiments is that they can be pretty... unethical. And that's the break point of their story: Remus finding out about Sirius research and finally wondering at what lengths did sirius went to understand something as complicated as Love and what the fuck he did to get banished from the department back then, and worse: if he ever used remus in those experiments. and even more worse: The fact that remus doesn't stop loving him even if he did.
A last fun fact is that they, at one point, would have an inside joke about that "MIB: man in black" movie, they watched it together one late night and sirius kept referencing it when he went to obliviate muggles and remus thought it was the funniest silliest thing ever

adding on to the last post (not the same anon) Yea its kinda sad they end up hatjng themselves and their ppl. btw Has anyone sent letters to dylann? is it possible to?
Oh man, I don't think I've ever been asked about anything more than about writing letters to Dylann. I may make a longer post about this just to redirect anyone who asks, but for now:
Yes you can send Dylann letters, but he very rarely responds and I believe the last known letter he sent was in 2020
People used to fake letters from Dylann, and it seems that recently there are certain people (tcc tiktok being the main culprit, of course) who try to say that he likes receiving fan mail and responds to people all the time, which is not true. If someone posts a letter from Dylann on tiktok, you probably shouldn't believe them.
The infamous letter where he angrily rants about his fangirls is fake
I've seen people advise against writing letters to him and other mass shooters with ideological motives because it can get you put on a watch list, but I'm not sure how true this is
[take this with a grain of salt because I can no longer find the source of this, although I believe it was in an article from a mostly reliable source] he was at one point told that he shouldn't respond to letters because what he writes can be used against him legally, but was then told by someone else that it didn't matter because any letters relating to white nationalism would be allowed through
TL;DR: Yes you can write to Dylann, but don't get your hopes up because you most likely won't get a response

I don't know if it's just me but if ship isn't problematic/toxic I find it boring
hah! that's a slippery slope! but i feel you. i think a larger observation we could make here is that really compelling dynamics that are real and human will always have problematic aspects. not that all couples have abusive dynamics or whatever, but rather that we as people are extremely fallible and we are even more so when we are in love and sharing ourselves with others. like, we are at our most noble and wretched with someone we love. so maybe what we find boring is being presented with relationships that gloss over these aspects. a well-written ship, no matter how "wholesome", will always have that interesting edge, imo.
that being said! i do wonder if ao3 + tiktok (but mostly tiktok and maybe wattpad) have served ppl a recipe of shallow "spiciness" where younger folks, especially, navigate towards seemingly "darker" ships just for the toxicity, instead of toxicity + substance. then again, this would've been people's complaints about the gothic genre back in the 19th century. "oh no, ppl will read too many penny dreadfuls and start murdering their neighbors in the street" etc. so it can become a silly moral panic, especially with regards to what women are reading. we all know how that goes.
buuuut i think there is cause for *some* concern about people's general tastes, not in terms of morality, but in terms of what they're consuming for themselves and their well-being. cuz i know what you mean and i have seen a shift in my own tastes over the years. like yes, we deserve to have fun with that trashy book, but i don't want us to only read easy things that will scratch a certain itch. because a lot of mainstream toxic/problematic stuff is written in a flat, trivial way and i want us to search for and be willing to read things that really challenge us. not just booktok's "dark romance" of the week (which is usually quite boring actually). i'm in a position where i do read a lot of different things constantly due to my job and my interests, but i have noticed a lack of patience in myself lately when it comes to certain stories and it gave me pause. btw, i'm not referring to you or your reading habits in particular, just thinking some general thoughts. ultimately, it's totally fine and we can enjoy as much problematic content as we want, as long as we don't forget the human element, as long as we don't settle just for the surface of things. because that's when we cheapen it, i think. idk, but i do think we have a responsibility to ourselves to always seek beautiful things (and by that i mean quality literature and quality trash lol). yes, we turn our brains off from time to time, we absolutely need to, but we need to come back to the things that make us think and feel to the utmost.
anyway, sorry for this very weird rant, this has been on my mind too!

i love u millennials but i really hate how millennials just gave their kids unrestricted access to the entire internet just bcuz they did as kids also. im a teenager with elder millennial parents and they let me see everything at the ripe age of 5. the ipad baby phenomenon was started by them in the mid 2010s bcuz they honestly had no clue what to do with their kid which i understand but u dont just? give a kid a phone the second they start talking? there's a reason why cybersecurity for minors has gone so much bigger and its bcuz these ppl keep giving their 6 year olds ipads and doing nothing with them. i remember going to my friends house and her little sister got a chromebook for christmas. shes 6. the entire time we were there she was just scrolling on youtube shorts. btw can we talk about youtube shorts? make fun of gen alpha brain rot all yall want but that stuffs genuinely serious. brainrot at 5 isnt okay! i had 5 year old brainrot and that isn't okay! and i know that its not only millennials but have you SEEN how many of them post on tiktok saying 'my 7 year old is addicted to their phone they never wanna go outside😫😫😫' ....and whos fault is that? YEAH BITCH!!!! YOURS!!!! do me a favor and dont let ur kids on the internet until they're around 13 or so. its much more serious than a simple 'dont let ur kids on tiktok ehehehhe'
tl:dr; im tired of ppl (millennials mostly) giving their child unrestricted internet access just bcuz they did also.

hi, indian ex-swiftie here! (you can use the ⏳️ to refer to me if you're still doing that) and about the desi obsession with taylor swift, I think is not completely due to her white skin. Like ofc, if taylor had been a poc things would be different, but then, her entire career would be different so yea
But it think it's similar to the white skin theory and that is the obsession with western trends. Like everytime something is going on in usa (mostly) it becomes a new shiny trend for us to adopt, and that's cuz it's somehow better (?) because the US did it, especially with gen z onwards (im a gen z btw). Like this whole desi obsession wasn't that prevalent until the US suddenly started being more obsessed with taylot since midnights. Even tiktok concepts such as "girlhood" or "girl's girl" (which is again related to some white person bs) is equally common here (we don't even have tiktok like-) and I've seen indian swifties use these things to justify their obsession or slander ppl for hating on taylor swift, just the way US swifties do. It is still an effect of colonization except instead of idolizing white skin (which if you do now, ppl would go against you- if you're a gen z or something atleast) it's saying "omg desi girlies 🎀👩🏾‍🦱" and simultaneously worshipping anything that emerges from the US (which is mostly some white trend, cuz those get the most internationally popular) which includes taylor. It's less liking taylor cuz she's white, and more liking taylor cuz she's white person approved (because then we can be more like white ppl or some bs)
Atleast that's my observation 🤷‍♀️
this is so interesting.
so the obsession with whiteness is a symptom of the obsession with the united states and the west. and the west is represented by whiteness because as you said, white trends get the most popular internationally.
so copying popular culture from the u.s. is a form of social clout in india i see i see. and it is still worshipping whiteness because whiteness extends beyond someone’s skin pigment but is a social category. so unfortunately (and confirmed by other desi anons) the worship of taylor swift is a worship of whiteness because the u.s./west is white.
do black/brown american artists who are “approved” by white people trend the same way taylor swift does? or is it only the white celebs “approved” by white people?

I don’t have a tik tok. What are they saying about our boys 🙄
omg thank you so much for sending in an ask about my post bc… i need to VENT lol
first and foremost, what aren't they saying about the boys on tiktok??? that's the real question.
imma just list the shit i've been either told or saw myself said about snc (but mostly colby).
sam should sue colby for the killing best friend prank (this one was brought to my attention by @xplrvibes like yesterday lol)
colby was molested
colby was sexually assaulted
elton made colby show his self harm scars on camera
colby has a bad relationship with his brother
sam cried being sexualized too much
the fans broke shea and colby up
colby has hated elton from the beginning
snc were talking about elton on the that one video years back (the one where they did the lie detector test on awesomenesstv)
not a SINGLE one of these are true, btw. that's the insane part to me. like…. every single one of these is a lie that i have no clue how they got started or who said them first.
and here, for anyone's benefit (in case you're curious) i will disprove all of these in one go.
sam was IN on the prank and has openly said that himself in the past
didn't happen/colby has never said that this has happened
same thing (granted if you want to make an argument that some fans have almost done this, that's a different story. but that's not what the fans on tiktok are talking about when they mention this)
colby has never self harmed. colby has never had depression, anxiety/has never been diagnosis with any mental illness. he even outright said in a video, EXPOSING THE TRUTH ABOUT COLBY BROCK, when asked if he was emo "depending on your definition of emo, if you say emo is somebody that hurts themselves - no. i'm not emo in that way." not to mention that if this is something that did happen, how come there was not a WORD about it until 2022??? the last time snc collabed with elton was in 2019. there is no WAY this shit could have happened, only to be talked about now with no proof. ALSO colby literally stated multiple times, back on metalife and even in a livestream in 2020/21, that he has never suffered from a mental illness, which is why he doesn't feel comfortable giving advice on it.
literally…. how would anyone know this in the first place? colby doesn't really talk about his family. but if you want to get technical, for a while in the back of his videos in 2020/21, you could see on his record player his brother's bands record. plus he literally went and saw him run a marathon in 2022 so… his relationship with him is fine.
that's literally not a thing at all lmao
shea and colby never dated, as much as shea would like you to believe otherwise. and if the fans are talking about their friendship… they are two grown adults. no one can make them do anything they don't want to do.
snc lived with elton for a full year, and continued to collab with him until 2019. elton didn't even become a hater until late 2020/early 21. so… no. colby didn't hate elton from the beginning just bc he has resting bitch face in some of the videos. if you want to make an argument that elton took some of his pranks too far, sure. but that's not what this is about.
this one is just ppl taking an old clip and trying to make it make sense to nowadays, so i'll give some slack. but again, this wasn't about elton. it was about aaron when they had beef with him for like a week and a half in 2019 lol
there is probably TONS of other shit said on there that i don't remember off the top of my head. but the fact that i've seen tons of these comments and tiktoks saying this shit is true is bonkers to me. idk who is starting these rumors, but like… dear lord above stop.
like i'm literally gonna have to make a snc tiktok account just to dispel rumors bc it annoys me to no end how these fans believe this stuff with literally NO PROOF.

I am not at all qualified to make this post so obviously I will be making it. Basically I've noticed something with how men vs women and queer ppl consume shonen manga.
When I'm on tumblr and ao3 I mostly see women and queer ppl post about manga but on tiktok I see mostly (straight) men. And I see a lot of difference between what they usually want for characters (especially strong ones)
I'm gonna focus on jujutsu kaisen cuz it was this manga that made it finally click in my head. What ppl want for characters and the story is usually directly tied to their identity especially gender identity and ofc the patriarchy.
I'll start with the example that gave me this lightbulb moment: on twitter and tumblr (where I curate my feed btw which makes a huge difference since i follow mainly non-men) I see ppl wanting gojo to essentially have an emotional breakdown or go thru some type of pain and go berserk out of the emotional heartbreaking pain of losing his loved ones or being forced to kill them.
Then on tiktok (where I look thru my fyp so I don't really curate my feed so any manga type videos come up and they're mixed with videos of men) I see alot about who would win in a fight between sukuna and gojo. About who would "dog walk" the other. A LOT about fighting and violence and killing. (In my head I'm thinking why the solution is always straight to killing the other person? Idk writers can get creative with endings that don't contain just straight up killing characters)
This got me thinking: why are ppl so obsessed with the fight and the violence? Then I'm like: well it's a shonen that's the genre. But then that would mean almost everyone who consumes shonen would have similar thoughts. But like I pointed out in the example, that's not the case. Why do the men focus so much on the violence and the women and queers focus on the drama and emotion? The character and their relationships?
Then it hit me: it's about PROJECTION. About living vicariously thru these characters. Men project themselves on these powerful characters and live out their fantasies of being strong, powerful, violent with no one who can get in their way or beat them. It's why they get so offended when ppl bring up other characters that can or can't beat the character they have projected onto.
Women and queer ppl focus on the emotion because we project ourselves and live our fantasies: to essentially breakdown (think female rage?) Essentially in our lives we are often the ones who do the emotional heavy lifting. Ones who are taught to keep quiet or be the bigger person or look the other way. Our emotions are used against us. But when we project ourselves to characters like gojo who has a ton on his shoulders, who has to do everything, we want him to breakdown and cry and rage cuz WE can't do that. It's our way of releasing our need to breakdown and rage, by living vicariously thru him. Often times after this breakdown we want another character to comfort them. For them to be the one to take care of things for once so our character (us) can take a break.
And I notice we project onto male characters and I think there's 3 reasons for this. Male characters are usually better written cuz they are at the focus of shonen so there's more of them we can attach ourselves to. 2nd reason is cuz they're male and it feels like they're "allowed" to emote without having backlash (tho that's not really the case usually. Like if gojo had a breakdown he wouldn't have been seen as weak or ridiculed but if someone else, usually a girl or a male written more softly like modoriya from mha, they would be ridiculed cuz thats "weak". All this would me coming from the men in the fandom too cuz they can't project onto a "weak" character) 3rd reason is cuz we can take a character that men would make into this "alpha man strong" and turn him human. Have him be realistic and have emotions, something we rarely see in real life cuz u know the patriarchy and men can't be emotional unless it's anger etc.
But anyways so that's what I have noticed and being a woman in fandom is a different experience. Usually a good one cuz fandom was created by women and we are the biggest fan content creators when it comes to Fanfic and fanart. Even some of the best analysis I've seen come from non-men. And I'm often on platforms where majority are women and queer and I curate my experience so when I get to places like tiktok or YouTube comments it's like my little bubble popping and I'm reminded of the different ppl in fandom. There are men on our sides of fandom with thinning more aligned to what I have described as what women usually think! But for this post I'm talking majority.
Anyways idk if this made sense but I wanna know what others think, I'm very interested and curious about this topic

Thanks a lot to @nigmos for tagging me in this 😊
🎶✨ When you get this, you have to write down 5 songs you actually listen to and post them. Then send this (ask or tag) to 10 of your favourite followers cool ppl✨🎶
Picking just five songs was tough cause I pretty listen to a lot of different genre (though it does have the flaws of rarely getting really in deep into any of them), so I decided to present some songs I’m still listening to that I grew up with.
1) Mala Vida
youtube
From the album Patchanka, might be my actual favorite song of all time, though I really much enjoy lately this cover I recently found. This cover also briefly play the beginning of another song by the same band which is Sidi H’bibi. It's also by the band of Manu Chao who is now mostly known for Me Gustas Tu (a song which starts with for me the incredibly relatable lyrics "me gusta los aviones") which is now a...TikTok song apparently?
2) Youri
youtube
(oh my god the video has a myspace link in the description)
I actually only heard this song a few time growing up cause my dad had the album and would play it in the car. I rediscovered it recently while going on a nostalgia trip and relistening to that album and yeah. Love it. I'm not sure at 100% but I think it's about the first person in space, Yuri Gagarin. Which like, that's cool, that's a unique topic I guess. (but like that band also has a song about jerking off at a park...like that's not a metaphor the song is literally called "I jerk off at the park". And it used to be on the radio a lot in 2014). From the same album I also very much love Ton Avion. Putting the audio and not the official video cause for some reason the video is an...orchestral version??? Which btw both Youri and Ton Avion have a country version also. Alright then!
3) J't'emmène au vent
youtube
This one's a 90s classic in France and the French speaking world in general. That band is pretty much known for the violin going crazy in their songs and the singer always singing like he's on the verge of a panic attack...Ok that one is just me who thinks that. Personally I prefer Les Nuits Parisiennes but I only wanted to put songs with official videos.
4) La Tribu de Dana
youtube
Another late 90s classic, a song which belong to the extremely niche genre of Breton rap...Like it's niche enough I'm pretty sure this band is literally the only one. It actually sample a sea shanty from Brittany called Tri Martolod (Three Sailors in Breton). Though it did cause controversy back in the day cause the band specifically sampled that version from the 70s without asking the singer first. I also like Mais qui est la belette which sample another Breton folk song, La Jument de Michao (or Le loup, le renard et la belette).
(unrelated but I found out The Longest John, who became mostly known during that whole sea shanties obsession the internet had two years ago, did a cover of Tri Martolod. which is amazing cause like...the breton language is sadly dying)
(also la tribu de dana is 100% my shitfaced karaoke anthem and yes, it is literally just because i cannot rap so i sound even more awful)
5) Yolande Wong
youtube
Honestly this one started as a meme in my friend group during our first year of college but now it's unironically in rotation. I did listen to it a lot growing up cause my dad had a friend who knew the lyrics perfectly. It has alterned my brain chemistry. I love you Yolande Wong, I want you to come to my wedding too. I even made you as a Sims, Yolande. Please come back to me I'm begging.
Alright I think I've humiliated myself enough. I don't really know who to tag, I don't have a lot of followers let alone some I interact with enough to feel comfortable tagging them in this and all the one I have have already been tagged so uh...If you see this and wanna do it, feel free to do so. You don't even have to tag me lol though I'd be nice I always like discovering new music.

This MIGHT be a hot take but I hate people who attack others because they don't draw enough diversity.
To be clear, I mean ocs. I don't mean ppl drawing fat characters as skinny or whitewashing black characters.
I've seen people on tiktok get attacked because the majority of their ocs weren't "diverse" enough.
You cannot FORCE someone to draw plus sized people if they don't want to, you can't force people to draw poc if they don't want to, y'know why? It's THEIR characters, THEIR art, not yours.
Luckily I mostly don't have to worry about this since the closest thing to humanoids I draw is furries. I have tried Branching out into other body types and will continue to, because that's my choice, but the majority of body types I draw are thin/average, because base the anatomy off of my own body, which is what MOST PEOPLE DO!!!!
(and btw, it IS harder to learn how to draw plus sized body types for most people, because of the extra mass and gravity and whatnot. I know when I was a bit younger and tried drawing plus sized body types, they'd come out looking pregnant 😭😭. Basically what I'm saying is, be patient, ESPECIALLY with new or young artists)
Nobody owes you anything because it's their own art they can do and draw what they want.

Erm mer gerd!!! 🌈💅🔥✨🕺💅✨🔥🌈
Totally not me reconfiguring my whole ass tumblr, lmao-
Okay, so like, hey, it's Toxicc! I'm a traditional and digital artist (mostly digital, i use traditional stuff i make as ref for digital stuff) and I'm involved in a LOT of fandoms (not like big stuff, but i am in the fandoms and plan on staying unless stated otherwise)
The following Fandoms i enjoy a Lot (because they bring me so much comfort) Are:
Welcome Home (like bestie, Clown!1!1 you did something right- btw #1 favorite fandom to me)
Genshin Impact (it's so unhinged like me lmaosoaoa i love unhinged!)
Warrior cats (battle cats are so silly!1!1!1 also unhinged to some extent, not as unhinged as Genshin and Welcome Home)
Helluva Boss & Hazbin Hotel (Still involved and enjoying these fandoms, it's just that sometimes ppl like to shove bad images on Viv which sucks)
Dead Island (1, Riptide, but mostly Dead island 2)
And uhhh there's so much more but it's walking away as we speak (well as i speak, you're just reading! Haha!)
I have a place where you can find more of me if Tumblr isn't enough for you! I don't know if this is a meet the artist/author kinda post I'm making right now, but it's there! I do Not have a Discord yet, so chatting in a Discord server is not possible for me yet!
The place where you can find me is on Sketchersunited.org by the user ToxiccTheArtist! Feel free to make a chat if you have an account or made an account, I'm open to talking about stuff if you'd like!
Also, on here you may see me shoving art where i see fit, and not only that, but i also have some interesting stuff to offer! I have Original Characters! (Who doesn't?) You'll find more about them on sketchers united as i try to post about them often. I'm currently working on a Series that i plan to make into an indie animated series when i start animating with the proper stuff for it.
You will also see me making AUs or silly ideas in general regarding my favorite fandoms! (Atm, I'm working on a Welcome Home AU, just writing down ideas as i Go, no worries, i won't use these ideas for anything else, just the AU! So stay tuned for that via here if I'm active or by contacting my Sketchers United account as mentioned above! I also forgot to mention that i don't have a Tiktok, I'm just getting settled with other platforms as i go, don't worry!)
Sooo yeah, just your ordinary artist, nothing much than that for now. If you're interested as to what I'll make, feel free to check back every now and then (also coding a blog page is weird on mobile Lmaoaoa-).
I hope you all have an amazing rest of your days!

i need to vent about something extremely dumb so feel free to ignore me lol
so fun fact about me, i have keratosis pilaris, otherwise known as kp (or chicken skin or strawberry skin, as some ppl refer to it as) and i HATE with a fiery passion the amount of times i've heard ppl talk about kp and how to get rid of it.
you ask any fucking person on the internet and they have about 1000 different creams, diys, exfoliants to use to get rid of kp. the thing is… KP DOES NOT GO AWAY. it is, for a lot of ppl, a lifelong skin TYPE (just looked that info up, btw. apparently kp is so common some doctors now refer to it as a type rather than a condition). so you can use everything under the sun and it won't go away. you are wasting your money buying shit that won't do dick all to help.
if you go to a dermatologist and they suggest something, obviously use that. i'm not a doctor, so don't listen to me lol but if you are using some random tiktok as a proof of what to buy for kp…. dear god please stop.
it's just so infuriating to me mostly bc a lot of ppl that talk about strawberry skin (which by the way i hate that ppl refer to it as that) don't even have actual kp, they just get irritated after shaving bc they didn't use enough moisturizer.
like… it's genetics. i got it bc my dad had it. my brother has it as well. it's not gonna go away. for some it can, but for most it's lifelong. it usually disappears or reduces a lot by the age of 30. and it's usually at it's worse during puberty. and let me tell you, both of these things are true. i used to be extremely embarrassed by my kp, especially since i didn't even know what it was and the only reason i found out about kp is bc of a fucking tumblr post. so not knowing why i had bumps all over my arms, shoulders, and legs made me feel really insecure. also i hated my body in general so this was just the added bonus. i get why ppl want to get rid of their kp, i was like that too. there are some days i consider buying all these fucking products that get recommended to me and seeing if any of them work.
but then i realize first and foremost, NO ONE CARES. omg, i'm telling you, the minute you realize no one cares as much as you care - your life will be golden. seriously, the shit you nitpick over is NEVER noticed by ppl that actually matter. bc if someone is gonna make fun of you bc of your skin type or whatever, fuck them. who cares what they have to say? (obviously i know that's easier said than done, but i'm telling you, the shit you worry about, the weird body angles you think you look bad in, NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION TO YOU LIKE THAT).
also, as someone who is getting closer to the age of 30, my kp has gone down a lot. it was at it's worse when i was going thru puberty, and now it's reduced a lot. i also exfoliate, which i think has helped. but i'm not going out of my to buy all this random shit that claims to help.
i think i'm just so sick of skin routine tiktok. like i don't mind watching ppl do their skin routines, it's fun and relaxing. but the minute ppl start recommending products, i'm out. during the pandemic, when that side of tiktok was blowing up, i listened to ppl talking about "oh the cleanser you should get is cetaphil and the retinol, bc you have to use a retinol, is the ordinary one."
cetaphil dried my skin out so much that i went from having oily skin to dry/combo skin. and the ordinary retinol breaks me out every. time.
i have a complete different set of shit i use now that were never recommended to me that i just used on a whim and they worked for me. but i'm not going out of my way to recommend it to everyone just bc it works for me. also i think what a lot of ppl need to realize is that there are TONS of ppl that just have good genetics. hell, even with my kp, i'm one of them. my skin breaks out occasionally, but i've never had consistent acne. and really i'm the only one in my family that's ever been like that. but bc i'm lucky in that regard, half the products i use wouldn't have worked for someone with acne prone skin. and that's how it is with a lot of products: a lot of the times they work for random influencers bc they just genetically have decent skin.
slight side note but still very much on topic: i've made the active decision to stop worrying about shit that i never worried about before. like, i'm not about to start growing new insecurities just as my old ones are slowly dwindling away. i'm not gonna worry about something that was never a problem before just bc someone else talks about their experience of struggling with this insecurity.
the reason i bring this up is bc a tiktok that came across my fyp was talking about this body wash that women were using. this body wash apparently lightens ppl skins. the only reason one lady found out is bc she went to get a brazilian wax, and the person that was waxing her asked if she was bleaching her asshole bc it was all one color (and apparently this woman had been going to this person for years so… she would notice this lol) and that's how she found out that the body wash was lightening her darker areas. and now, ppl in the replies were recommending to use it in their downstairs area (and just overall anywhere they think their skin looks too dark) to brighten up their skin.
no. i'm not gonna be concerned about what color my asshole is. if it's dark, so what. it LITERALLY never sees the sun. it's main purpose is to shit. idc what it looks like, as long as it works. this is the dumbest thing i've heard in my life omg

On mobile & sorry if I said anything weird my first language isn't english & for not using puntuation I'm not good at it
Hello! This is just a mini rant(kinda)(since no one that I currently know are into vtubers or know what they are & I just wanna talk about it) but I just came across this tiktok short/edit (don't really know what to call it 😅) but she basically trying to expose? Vtubers (mostly nijien) (mostly nina in this case) but she was a minor (it's in her prof.) & I found on one of her edits/videos she was asking ppl for shoutout bc she 'needs her fame back' & that just makes me feel weird about it like.. Idk.. I think that recently I just had seen some ppl trying to cancel some vtubers on tiktok for stupid things like fu-chun getting 'cancel' for liking/reading BL even though he's bi if I'm correct (ik that some of the cancel aren't really recent but tiktok just kinda stated to put those videos on my for you page recently) like for vox I kinda get why he's was cancel but at the same time not bc sure you can feel uncomfortable & all but for me personally I think that calling him a p*do was too mush like lately ppl have been throwing that word around to losely & I just think that he over share to much but yeah
Btw it's ok if you don't want to respond to this you can just ignore it but have a good day/night also I hope that your first day in college was good! My younger sister also just started college & she was saying the same thing as you so just know that you aren't alone 🤣🤣
Your English is reallyyyy good!! <3 and good luck to your sister too!!!
I've wanted to talk about this topic before but didn't really have the chance to but now that you've ranted about it, I'm gonna reply to your rants with a rant of my own so buckle up 😌
(there's literally an essay down there so enter at your own risk 👁️👁️)
This is exactly why I barely go on tiktok anymore. when I used to be a diehard fan of kpop artists, shits like this was way more worse. At some point, it started disturbing me to the point I actually never went back on tiktok again. That's how much I hated that app back then. Literally just one or two months ago I opened that app again, thinking I could have a peaceful life in vtubers fandom but oh lord I encountered a hate video.
It was something similar to what you said, but what I saw was a video saying "canceling nijisanji en" and I thought it was a joke or something so I went to the comments section to see what it was about. And the whole comment section was filled with "omg yes" "ugh shifting to nijisanji jp right now" "well at least shu is safe💀" honestly, I was like huh??? seems that they were talking about most of the nijisanji en boys interacting with an artist who was apparently racist (or something else i'm not really sure) but yeah that's the bits of it. [I saw a comment under the specific post saying something like "if this is how yalls attitude is, then don't even think about coming to the jp side" and I was like SLAYY GIRL YOU RIGHT ASF] sorry I'm pretty much gatekeeping niji jp from toxic fans like that who could just hate on their so called "oshi" on a baseless rumour.
First of all, I'm on twitter literally everyday and have heard nothing of that issue. Or maybe it's possible that I could've totally missed it. Secondly, even if the issue is true, I'm pretty sure the en boys wouldn't have interacted with the said artist if they knew about it. Like girl, vtubers don't have to know everything about everyone on internet. Just because they don't follow up on who is who and who is supporting what doesn't mean you have the fucking rights to cancel them.
Let me tell y'all something mind blowing. Reading BL isn't a crime. Surprising? Get that into your fucking mind. BL is a genre just like Mystery, Romance, Historical and etc. Even if you're straight you can read/watch BL it's not wrong. It's not wrong as long as you don't fantasize about it and get off on it. If you're a straight person reading BL (yaoi) and getting turned on about it and being public about it, then seek help. That's just so wrong. You girls don't like it when men jerk off to lesbian porns so it goes both ways.
This is me speaking for myself as someone who enjoys BL and I would love to read GL genre too. But there's just none that suits my taste and BL stories are being published more and more rather than GL. That's the main reason I read more BL and not GL. It has nothing to do with me being a freak. I don't even read much yaoi like BJ ALEX, painter of the night, etc. I mostly enjoy fluff BL genre because I see it as any other romance. (if you have good gl manhwa/anime/donghua/manga recommendations, please share it with me👁️👁️)
And calling vox a p*do? that's just way too offensive and wrong. Did you see him having dirty talks or actually having sex with a minor? No you fucking didn't so stfu. You don't even know who he truly is behind the avatar so what gives you the rights to say something so horrible about him? And this goes to everyone else. Even if a person you know, or barely know, is a prostitute, slut, playboy or whatever, you do not get to judge them. You're not their parents/family members so you get no say in their life. Just stfu and live your own life instead of judging others'. UNLESS you see them committing real crimes which is against the law of your country then report them to the police. That's all you have to do.
Now, I don't want to categorise all tiktok users as one group but most of the people, I repeat, MOST of the people in tiktok are underage, or simply just utter fools who have no morals in them. Especially those hate accounts (and this goes to EVERY hate accounts. not just the ones dedicated to nijisanji/vtubers).
I see some accounts saying "this is a troll account. i actually love [insert name] so much🥺" no. If you love them as much as you claim to, then you wouldn't even think about hating on them like that even for a joke. That's just disrespectful.
What do they really get out of this hating behaviour? likes? shares? comments? fame? well if that's what they want then they're really doing it in a wrong fucking way. I didn't know people could be happy getting those achievements from such a nasty way. They have little to none shame. Possibly bringing down someone's career because of their stupid behaviour isn't something to be proud of. Their parents surely wouldn't be proud of it either. Am I mean? well not as much as they are and at least I'm only speaking facts.
It's literally so easy to shut up your mouth if you don't like something. Like, go find something else you enjoy instead of hating.
+the nijisanji en family has been getting bigger these days which is why they're getting more hate that are visible. The only thing we can do is comment something to put some sense in their shitty mind(which will end up going over their head considering how dumb they are), report, block and scroll away. Fools like them can't be fixed unless they themselves realise what they're doing and how it harms others around them. We really shouldn't be wasting our time and ruining our mental health over some dumb asses.
