You love your girlfriend- really, truthfully you do

And she loves you too….maybe more than you love her

It’s such an intense, deep love that scares you sometimes

Purely because of how deep that love goes

The times she showed emotions, it was always so intense

Her adoration for you

Her detest for passersby who so much as looked at you wrong

Her panic attacks of fear when the nightmares hit

All- so intense for your usually quiet girlfriend

The panic attacks especially

She’d hold on to you, like you were going to float away. Her tears staining your shirt as she cried into your shoulder. Sometimes her nails would dig into your skin so hard it left marks

She was scared of losing you, and despite your reassurance that those fears would never come to fruition- she was still weary

Weary of everyone. Strangers walking by. Friends of yours from work or hobbies. Even your own family.

She’d glare at them like they were the scum of the earth

She loved you too much to let you get hurt

“Love…could we talk?”

The two of you had been cuddling on the couch, your head nestled against her chest as she idly smoked. It shocked you how used you got to the smell of cigarettes, in fact- you weirdly found it comforting. Your eyes blinked open as her mellow voice hit your eyes, your attention turned to your girlfriend.

Andrea was looking elsewhere, smoke wafting from the cancer stick she found oh-so comforting. You snuggled closer to her, nodding.

“Of course,” you loved her voice. It was so soothing, “What’d you want to talk about?”

Andrea paused before she sighed, “You know I love you? Right?”

Faintly, her voice cracked, almost like that question was too difficult to muster. You responded by wrapping your arms around her waist, nuzzling your cheek against her chest and sighing with content.

“Of course I do,” you replied so matter-of-factly, “With all my heart.”

In the corner of your eye, you saw her lips upturn into a small smile. Andrea leaned down, kissing the top of your head. Her black hair cascaded down and tickled your face, making you smile wider.

“And you’ve got a big heart doll,” her hand rested on your back, rubbing gentle circles against it. She then, with a somber tone, murmured, “…that’s what worries me, ya know?”

You perked up, opening your mouth to speak- but Andrea continued.

“You’re so sweet, so gentle, so…naive.” She looked away from you as her green eyes darkened with scorn, “Pricks of this dumpster fire of a world chew that up til it’s nothing but a husk they can’t have fun with anymore.”

“Andy..” you lifted your head from her chest, Andrea’s hand that had resided on your back cupping your cheek.

“I want you to know Y/N,” her eyes bore holes into your own, “I won’t ever let that happen.”

What would be considered such a comforting conversation, this had deeper undertones. There was a malice in Andrea’s voice that made you flinch. The way she held your face, it wasn’t comforting- no- this was possessive.

Possessive is a good way to describe Andrea

From small things to holding your hand in public

To putting her cigarettes out on your neck as a means of “marking” you

You’ve grown tolerant of the pain, even starting to like it

It’s almost like a kiss- a very twisted and morbid kiss

You used to scoff at Andrea’s concerns, chalking it up to paranoia

You held the pillow close to your person, breathing shakily with a panicked look in your one open eye. The other was swollen shut with a purplish red bruise. You had been on your way home when some assailant attempted to steal your stuff. You gave them more of a fight than anticipated, only getting away with 20 bucks from your wallet. Though, you didn’t get home unscathed.

The moment Andrea had seen that black eye, she was doting on you- asking several questions as she treated your bruise. Thankfully you hadn’t been stabbed or worse, but the experience still shook you up. Once you had calmed down, Andrea asked more questions about your mugger. What they looked like, where this happened, when did this happen- basic questions. After relaying the information, she said she would be back and left. You presumed to give this information to the police or- someone who could help….but it was getting late and you were worrying.

You missed her warm embrace. The smell of cigarettes that clung to her thick black sweater. Her comforting voice. Her beautiful green eyes. You wanted her to be with you so badly it ate you from the inside.

The sound of the door opening was like a starting gun to you, your body immediately flinging itself off of the couch and running to hug whoever came through that door. You practically sobbed as the smoke hit your nostrils and the warm sweater nestled against your cheek. Andrea slunk down to the ground, holding you as you sobbed. In your desperate state to feel the comfort she provided you with….you failed to notice the blood on her hands.

“It’s okay love…” she spoke in a hushed tone, “I’ve got you…..”

“No one will hurt you again.”

Hello yes. I would just like to point at the Amazing Lyoko Warriors (I just stumbled into your AU) and just. Oh my fucking god. Jermie deserves a hospital visit please I think he's in shock (also probably experiencing significant blood loss). Maybe some apple juice that always makes me feel better?

(Ulrich you have words just say he's soaked in blood. Odd has no context for normal, but I have no clue why nobody else thinks Jermie's being weird.)

I guess I can show a villain I made. I have shown this on discord, but I think Tumblr would love this guy. Purely because he's the most ridiculous guy ever.

Meet Chairman!

So, this is essentially the Box Ghost of The Amazing Lyoko Warriors.

If you don't know, the Box Ghost is essentially this joke villain from Danny Phantom. An ineffectual ham who's completely harmless to the main cast. He's basically the butt of every joke and has an obsession with cardboard boxes.

So, I decided 'Imagine how funny it would be if I had a villain like that, but with chairs.' And thus, Chairman was born!

Chairman is literally just a guy wearing chair pieces for armor. That's it.

He personally identifies with chairs, thinking they're people, and the way he attacks is by beating the shit out of people with chair legs.

Of course, since every member of the LWs has powers, he's a complete nonthreat. He's only threatening to regular ass people. Not even cops are afraid of him.

Also, this brings up another piece of lore: XANA isn't the only villain in TALW.

In fact, there are several, a whole Rogues Gallery. Sure, XANA is the Lyoko Warriors' arch-nemesis and creates a lot of villains and monsters to serve him, but he's just one piece of the pie.

One of these independent villains is Chairman. There are also several others, either based on canon XANA attacks, shit from Code Lyoko's supplemental material (Evolution, Chronicles, the official games and even some fan games), or are completely original.

Making villains is probably one of my favorite parts of writing TALW because, since it's a superhero AU, I can just go apeshit and imagine regular canon episodes as these ginormous, largescale battles of good and evil.

I would be happy to release more information about potential villains and even some of the designs for the heroes.

What places hold significant meaning or memories for your OC? Do they have a positive or negative association with those places?

Vi (FFXIV OC) has a lot of negative memories of the house that she grew up in. It never felt right to her, and from the time she was a young girl she felt that the House was haunted. There are other places of importance to her. The Tea Shop she is in charge of brought about clients for her tarot readings and also introduced her to both of her partners.

Dimitri (FFXIV OC) has a fondness for the Harbor outside of the main part of Old Sharlayan not only did he receive his first kiss there but it was also the first place that he sang in public. There are currently no other places he is as fond of. Thank you for the Ask!! I loved answering it for both of them.

1) Describe one creative WIP project you’re planning to work on over the summer.

I haven't felt very inspired to write fanfic for around 2 months now, but I have had a few ideas for a novel floating around in my head. I've never attempted a large creative project like this but I'd like to try and get something for it done this summer!

2) Rec a book!

I also haven't done really any reading for fun either but I'm going to recommend the last great book I read, A Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I'm very late to the party on this one but in case you haven't heard of it, it is a heist novel set in a fantasy, with each chapter being told from the POV of a different character. The fantasy elements, combined with the suspense and deception of a heist story to me out of a reading slump last summer.

3) Rec a fic! 

Time to get on my soap box and gloat about The Illusionist by @dirty-bosmer ! The Illusionist is a massive, beautiful Oblivion fanfic following @dirty-bosmer's oc Nim. This fic genuinely has some of the best writing I've ever seen period and is a testament to the beauty of fanficition <3

5) Share on piece of advice!

I've gone through a period of upheaval lately (still in it) and my advice is it is okay if you don't everything you wanted too, it's okay to have a goal and not meet it now or ever. It is enough for you to be here and to experience the world, you don't have to do it and you don't need any excuse not too. Our time on this rock is so painfully short in the life of the universe. Make the most of it.

Nope now it’s at the point that i’m shocked that people off tt don’t know what’s going down. I have no reach but i’ll sum it up anyway.

SCOTUS is hearing on the constitutionality of the ban as tiktok and creators are arguing that it is a violation of our first amendment rights to free speech, freedom of the press and freedom to assemble.

SCOTUS: tiktok bad, big security concern because china bad!

Tiktok lawyers: if china is such a concern why are you singling us out? Why not SHEIN or temu which collect far more information and are less transparent with their users?

SCOTUS (out loud): well you see we don’t like how users are communicating with each other, it’s making them more anti-american and china could disseminate pro china propaganda (get it? They literally said they do not like how we Speak or how we Assemble. Independent journalists reach their audience on tt meaning they have Press they want to suppress)

Tiktok users: this is fucking bullshit i don’t want to lose this community what should we do? We don’t want to go to meta or x because they both lobbied congress to ban tiktok (free market capitalism amirite? Paying off your local congressmen to suppress the competition is totally what the free market is about) but nothing else is like TikTok

A few users: what about xiaohongshu? It’s the Chinese version of tiktok (not quite, douyin is the chinese tiktok but it’s primarily for younger users so xiaohongshu was chosen)

Tiktok as a community has chosen to collectively migrate TO a chinese owned app that is purely in Chinese out of utter spite and contempt for meta/x and the gov that is backing them.

My fyp is a mix of “i would rather mail memes to my friends than ever return to instagram reels” and “i will xerox my data to xi jinping myself i do not care i share my ss# with 5 other people anyway” and “im just getting ready for my day with my chinese made coffee maker and my Chinese made blowdryer and my chinese made clothing and listening to a podcast on my chinese made phone and get in my car running on chinese manufactured microchips but logging into a chinese social media? Too much for our gov!” etc.

So the government was scared that tiktok was creating a sense of class consciousness and tried to kill it but by doing so they sent us all to xiaohongshu. And now? Oh it’s adorable seeing this gov-manufactured divide be crossed in such a way.

This is adorable and so not what they were expecting. Im sure they were expecting a reluctant return to reels and shorts to fill the void but tiktokers said fuck that, we will forge connections across the world. Who you tell me is my enemy i will make my friend. That’s pretty damn cool.
