Half the time in Philly the only vowel we really use is the schwa so I mean do we really need the rest of these vowels?
(Note: 10 minutes ago I was yelling at a singer for rhyming “water” with “daughter” which definitely doesn’t work in a Philly accent so apparently the answer is “yes”)
