What would Silas be like as a whumpee?

ooh good question i’ve thought about this before A LOT!!

in short, he would be EXTREMELY defiant. like the most defiant, feral, unhinged whumpee you could think of. he’d constantly berate, insult and threaten the whumper until he’d be made physically unable to. he’d bite and scratch, kick and scream, be as violent as he possibly could without holding back in the slightest. if he was restrained because of this, he would literally chew or rip his own arm off to get out of restraints, silver or not.

he’s not afraid of pain, at least not at first. pain, and an equal opponent, is something Silas rarely experiences. so he’d see this as an opportunity for a real exhilarating hunt. he’d welcome pain with open arms. being hurt is FUN to him, in a fucked up way. he knows he can’t actually die unless he’s staked in the heart or burned in the sun, so he’s not afraid of any other pain (at first. it’d get old fast). and like i said, he rarely gets opponents just as strong at him to even cause him pain, so this’ll be a thrilling change of pace.

he’d take amusement in what whumper is doing, the fact they even think they can keep him locked up and break him. he would try to instigate and provoke whumper to make them even more angry and frustrated with him, causing them to lash out more violently. he’d taunt them, tell them to keep hurting him and see what happens, tell them that they’re not even trying, that they can do better than that.

and he’d LAUGH. loud, manic, deranged giggling and maniacal laughter nonstop. he wouldn’t take this situation seriously at ALL, it’s incredibly amusing to him. the fact he’s at this point to begin with is because he ALLOWED it to happen (of course, this might not be true. but it’s what he believes or what he tries to convince whumper to believe). the fact whumper thinks they can do serious harm to Silas is laughable. he still thinks humans are beneath him and that he’ll overpower them and get out of this situation eventually. and when he does, oh, whumper will wished they never crossed paths in the first place. like i said, he’d shout threats nonstop, describing in detail all the horrible ways he’d torture and kill whumper once he gets free. and if he does get free, he WOULD act on his promise.

anyway, if he doesn’t get free, obviously he wouldn’t last like this forever. he’d eventually get tired of all this and try to escape, wanting to return to his normal life of tormenting weaker humans, and he’d have a lot of ways. he’d easily kill whumper if he could (maybe the reason why he didn’t before was because he wanted to ride this out and see how far he could push whumper into hurting him, see what he’d do). if not, he’d break his own body in ways he’d be able to escape whenever they locked him up. he’d just dig or claw his way out of the cage or cell, bend the bars, break the chains, whatever. he wouldn’t let himself get to the point where he was too weak to do that (assuming he’s being starved the whole time). if his restraints are made of silver, he might be more hesitant but he’d easily touch that with bare skin if it means getting free. if he’s out of his restraints, he can also just turn into a bat and escape through small spaces too.

if whumper actually locks him up to where there’s physically no possible chance of him ever escaping, then things will be different. i’m not really sure how long term captivity would go exactly, there’d be a lot of different things to take into consideration. but the thought of Silas being a broken and conditioned, quiet and compliant whumpee just doesn’t feel right to me. i think he’d just keep fighting until he’s broken in a different way. he’d literally just drive himself completely insane. i don’t know how to explain it but he’d be a demented, monstrous beast until the end. he’d lose all sense of his humanity. that IS if he wasn’t being drugged or anything else that could potentially change his behavior

i did this one rp on discord once with @loonybun (using tupper bots. it was not taken seriously at first but it got good at the end) where Silas gets taken down by a doctor whumper. it was great. he kept like poking the bear and encouraging Vian (evil doctor guy) to shoot him and see what happens. Vian keeps shooting at him and missing since Silas has inhuman speed and could easily dodge the bullets. whenever he did shoot him, even just slightly, Silas would smile all bloodily and laugh while continuing to taunt him. Vian eventually shoots him with a stronger weapon and Silas finally gets knocked down. Vian then injects him with something and during that whole ordeal, Silas is laughing maniacally and spitting out threat after threat before finally slipping into unconsciousness.

so if he were ever a lab whumpee and constantly kept in a drugged state, this would definitely affect the way he’d act. this is the same with mind control or anything else that can actually alter his behavior. but in general, Silas would always be pretty defiant until the end :)

This has piqued my interest and now im curious, what are the darkest moments of warrior cats?

oh this is interesting because a lot of things in warriors are dark if you think about the implications but in the text aren’t really presented as anything more than lore or a cool moment. like tigerstar I’s death or the (apparently retconned????) lore of spirits fading with living cats memories and the ghostly spectres of leaders lost lives before the fully die (that STUCK with me man. like this ghostly firestar wandering starclan unable to communicate until his living form fully dies? fucked up.)

But!! if I personally had to say my list (in no particular order) would be

all the dark forest apprentice deaths and the descriptions of them just dying in their nests, asleep, with the med cats having no clue what to do or whats happening

tigerstar forcing the half clan cats to fight to the death as a spectacle in front of an audience

mapleshade’s kits drowning and her begging to be let into riverclan only to be turned away under threat of violence

brokenstar training kits to be apprentices way to early and brutally to the point many of them die and then blaming yellowfang for it and having her chased out of shadowclan

sootfur’s death man. sootfur’s death. #1 saddest and most terrifying death in the series for me. it gets worse when you realise his mum also died to badgers.

firestar’s life lost in the fox trap and hawkfrost’s ensuing death. that whole scene of firestar being powerless and choking to death on his own blood. yeah.

rock’s curse. being forced to live forever with all the knowledge in the universe of all the terrible things that will happen in the future, but powerless to stop any. fatalism in the warriors universe in general tbh. poor goosefeather.

I only read up to the last hope and all supplementary content released before and a little after however! so if anyone wants to add moments i forgot or didn’t add please go for it.

What made you start writing for Alex Rider ?

i actually grew up reading alex rider!! it was the first series i started reading in my adolescent years (before pjo even) and when i got to uni i bought the whole series to reread them again. because i read them a lot at school. at the time i was reading them in secondary school, i was already writing an ncis fanfic, so i ended up planning and writing a crossover fic to add in my love for alex rider (i'd also been reading a load of alex rider x ncis crossovers at the time). and that fic is MEANT to be a series (which i haven't written for in a while and will eventually get back into when i get back into ncis).

but anyway, since i slowed down on that series, i just... went into writing just alex rider stuff. i wanted to keep writing for the fandom, i wanted to keep writing fun stuff because alex is such a fun character to explore. also i got back into reading alex rider when nightshade came out, so i thought i'd test out my writing for it again. and i WILL get back to writing again when my writing increases in frequency again.

And what do you think adult Alex would be like ?

what do i think adult alex would be like? simply put: jaded. he's gone through a lot in his childhood - orphaned and never knew his parents, and the only person he really knew as a parental figure loved him but lied to him his whole life, and then died when he was 14. and then, since then, he's been manipulated by the british government into working for them. i'm a whole ass adult who pays taxes and i have very little love for my current government (and before anyone says anything, 3 PMs in 1 year??? come on). i cannot even imagine how alex feels being forced to work for THAT.

at the same time, i feel like he'd work really hard to hide being that jaded because whilst he seems like a loner, alex isn't a loner. he was made that way by not getting to go to school a lot. he strikes me as a guy who was often social, and he'd probably still crave that in a way. he'd still want friends, still want to go out to parties. he's a pretty good liar, and he can count how many people know his secret on one hand. so he'd still go out, still try to make friends, still be social. tom would probably still be his wingman, getting him into a bunch of parties and trying to hook him up with people that alex knows he won't last with because he's jaded and self-destructs.

the thing i don't know is whether he'd still work for mi6, or whether they'd release him to work for another portion of the government (they couldn't let him go with him knowing all those secrets, no way). maybe he'd work his way up the chain, making it to director or up to being tulip's most prized agent. maybe he'd get injured out in the field and be restricted to office work. maybe he'd try to leave and end up irreversibly trapped.

so many possibilities, and all of them end with alex constantly traumatised and needing therapy but still going out and self-destructing whilst tom tries to be his wingman, in my opinion. (or maybe he manages to get himself a partner by himself... but he still self-destructs, absolutely.)

Okay you can’t tell me that Vlad doesn’t have an organ somewhere in his mansion. Upon learning of this, Danny would teach himself how to play the Haunted Mansion theme on the organ and play it at 2am.

Vlad Masters is away on business in Gotham, and the Fentons are coincidentally there for a symposium on ecto-activity. So it’s perfect! Except he goes to the wrong house, er mansion.

Honestly, Danny thought it was one of Vlad’s many mansions. Scaring the old man is his favorite activity after all. There’s a higher amount of ectoplasm here, so it has to be Vlad’s place right?

When Bruce comes out (on one of his few nights off) and sees his carbon copy playing the organ, all thoughts fly out of his head. Danny finally looks up and also blue screens. They stare at each other for what feels like an eternity until Danny’s cell phone rings (the ghostbusters theme??) and he panics. He jumps up and makes a break for the other door rushing through apologies “SorryWronghousegottagobye!” And runs out of the room. “Wait! Who are you?”Bruce exclaims as he rushes after him. They’re on the second story in one of the rooms he rarely uses. How did he know where the organ was? No matter. He’ll catch the kid on the stairs.

Except the kid is already almost at the bottom. How did he get down so effortlessly? The kid practically floated down the stairs.

Bruce gets to the foyer just in time to see the kid realize the door was dead-bolted in multiple spots. He won’t be able to undo them all before Bruce catches up to him.

He slows down and stands behind a pillar, assessing his next move. He needs to be careful here. This is a child after all, no need to spook him any more than he already has. He needs to slowly approach, and ask his questions.

But then the kid does the unexpected. After looking around frantically, he takes a deep breath. Two rings form around his middle and travel up and down his body. His black hair turns ghostly white. He looks back, almost directly at Bruce. His eyes widen as if he realizes he’s being watched. He whispers, barely loud enough to hear, “I’m so sorry, please don’t follow me.” Then, he backs through the locked door and vanishes.

61. Something you find romantic?

Oh boy, hmmm, I'm going to do my best to not ramble and focus on that one thing haha — HOWEVER, this is such A QUESTION in which I can write papers on!!

I find effort romantic. Whether it is through friendships, relationships, dating, or simply loving, effort is something I never take for granted.

I love how you can show someone just how dear they are to you by simply showing interest in their hobbies, asking questions about their life or anything in general, checking in on them, sending them random pictures or selfies from either your ootd or just because.

It's scary though... putting yourself out there—no, POURING yourself out there with your heart. Reaching out, responding, initiating, and including them in your day to day life.. you can never control or know if they care for it or will give the same effort.

That's why I find it truly romantic when you both share the same effort. It displays that you two care about each other, you are openly trying and willing to be there and involved each other in their lives. Effort is in a way, a vulnerability you must be willing to make.

And if done right, and reciprocated, it can seem like such an effortless, freeing, endearing, and weight lifting feeling. 😊😊😊

Obviously, there are times where it won't be that case. It will feel draining, one sided, inconsiderate, saddening, uncared for, and lonely... but you must not allow yourself to stop trying. Be proud of the effort you were willing to give and gave, and gracefully move on. Find your people—they're out there; I promise. 😊😊😊

So yeah — effort is something, among a list of other things, I find romantic 😊♥️
