One thing that I just realized that was bugging me in the Connor of mind, I know nothing about queer culture in Korea? Everytime I read or watch queer stories it seems the same straight stories (never saw a trans one) with some add struggles of being LGBT, which are not that different than the forbidden love we see in their other stories.

What a sweet comedy! 💖 One of the most delightful movies I've ever seen. I fell in love with Arnold immediately. One of the best LGBTQ+ movies ever made. The movie soundtrack is also phenomenal. It made me fall in love with Ella Fitzgerald ever since.✨✨

'This film traces 10 years (1971-81) in the life of middle-aged homosexual Arnold Beckoff (Harvey Fierstein). The film is, by turns, a riotously funny and poignant story of an aging drag queen and his attempts to connect with someone anyone! Why are western queer people so afraid of saying that t.A.T.u's "All the things she said" slaps. It always shows up as "bad and outdated depiction of lesbians in music" but you gotta be an absolute stiff to not absolutely SPIRITED AWAY by that song

I've seen a lot of people telling others not to stream a particular artist on Spotify because they're a "bad person", so I'd just like to remind everyone that you can stream whatever you want because artists make no money on Spotify.

If you're an artist on spotify, you make 0.003$ish every time someone streams one of your songs. Less than a cent for every stream!

And you usually cut this money with the corporation or label that you work for, or the music distributor you use. So how much you earn varies depending on the company, but you're always making a fraction of the very little money you earn.

That's not to mention the fact that your song gets completely demonetized if it's less than a minute long, or you have less than 1,000 annual listeners.

If you want a reference, I have an 85% cut with my distributor, I don't have 1,000 annual listeners but this was before that requirement, my songs are all over a minute long. I made $3.35 in January 2024 with 1,872 streams over the course of that month.

In conclusion, listen to whomever you want to on Spotify because you aren't supporting them at all either way. Also, if you do want to support an artist, buy their songs on a site like Bandcamp, donate to them on Patreon or similar sites, or purchase CDs or records physically.

you would go to the school and everyone is listening to the song bc it was such a hit. and then go home and put the TV and there's a prime time discussion on the news about if it's appropriate or not for the youth. MTV had to put the mv on their late spots bc it was deemed restricted to minors. or they would cut the ending. the Pope (then cardinal of Buenos Aires) denounced thr band for corrupting the minors 😭😭😭😭
