Anthony Vincent would be PERFECT as Rob Lucci for the OPLA. Literally perfection. 馃檹

One of my favourite things: when my worlds collide, particularly in a beautiful fashion as happens here.
I love Ten Second Songs guy and this video reappeared in my suggestions just now. This time (well, 4 years ago time, but you get the idea) he went for Guns N' Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" in the style of Rammstein and it's as much hilarious as it is good, even if I seem to forgot every word to the song while listening to him sing it in German (the German google translator version of it, at least).
[the lights in his mouth kill me every time 馃槀]

No matter what you do, you just can't shake him off, can you, Ch奴ya?
[lyrics: Florence + the Machine | id in alt]

shipsinker.com has been inaccessible for the past couple months. For those unfamiliar, that's the site of the comic artist Rich Morris, who created The Ten Doctors. Perhaps the best and most complex Doctor Who fanfic in the fandom, which beautifully interweaves all the Doctors, most companions, and a good number of aliens from the show's start to 2007--I could even class it as one of the best fanworks in general. And that's not counting other works of Rich Morris' that I'm not very familiar with.
Fortunately, parts of his website can still be accessed on Web Archive, including the page where you can download all his Doctor Who comics. I encourage any fans of the show to do so, to help preserve them, since they're just a really incredible fanwork.
You want Rose Tyler making friends with a short ex-waitress from an ice planet whose hobby involves making explosives? You want Grace Holloway to briefly mistake Time Lady Romana for a regenerated Doctor and decide that she's still down for a relationship with a female Doctor(and for Romana to later patiently explain 'I'm not the Doctor, but you shouldn't be embarrassed about that kind of mistake, and I'd be interested in doing it again with full knowledge of who we both are if you are')? You want REALLY old characters from Classic Who like Omega, Susan, and even the Meddling Monk? You want wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey shenanigans up the wazoo, and the Doctor outsmarting entities in the most unlikely, glorious ways? I invite you to check it out.

River song is the best executed story arc in all of fiction (at least all that I鈥檝e seen) and it鈥檚 not even close
Her first appearance is her death, both the audience and the doctor don鈥檛 know anything about her, but she already knows everything about him. Imagine a woman greets you with a kiss and says she鈥檚 your wife but you鈥檝e never seen her before.
When she dies, sure it鈥檚 sad because a character we鈥檝e spent two hours getting to know just died, but it鈥檚 not any sadder than that.
But then she turns up later. And again. And again. We learn to fall in love with the character, just like the doctor, but always with the nagging thought that any day could be the day when she goes to the library, and meets her end. We learn how interconnected her and the doctor are, we watch them get married, and eventually we see her one last time in a glorious send off to the character, the last time she saw the doctor before going to the library.
But that鈥檚 not where the story ends.
On a rewatch, you get the silence in the library, and you see this character that you鈥檝e grown to love over whole doctor鈥檚 lifespans, but the doctor doesn鈥檛 recognise you. Now, you鈥檙e in river鈥檚 shoes. You understand all the references she makes, but the doctor is just blank. And when she sacrifices herself, you realise that the last time she saw the doctor was exactly what you saw in the last river episode. It鈥檚 so flawlessly executed over a whole decade, and I love her to pieces.
