FUCK, thinkin about when Carolina showed up and everyone that was sorta cool (heavy the sorta here) with Washington suddenly wasn't sure if they could really trust him anymore, because with Carolina around Washington immediately went back to acting like a 'good soldier', following her orders, even though he clearly didn't like it, even though she was dismissive and outright mean to him, like Carolina was just refusing to let Washington heal from that part of his life, like.. it's almost like how Felix refused to let that part of Locus heal, pushing him into this spiral of being a 'good soldier'--except unlike Locus and Felix, Washington decided being a 'good soldier' didn't mean more to him than making sure Carolina stopped pointing that gun at Tucker's head, and Carolina decided that being the 'best' at what she did (which was, in her own words, being a 'killing machine') didn't mean more to her than being an honorable person.

man, that final fight in Chorus really was just, 'imagine getting to beat the shit out of your parallels, how fun would that be', and you know what? i fuckin love that for them.
